What a play! Can you believe this?
Starting point is 00:01:39 I had no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races, and he stays on his feet. He's just going to go the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. Well, what's going on? Welcome, everybody, to Fantasy Football Today, presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. What a fun finish to Monday night.
Starting point is 00:02:04 I mean, not like the last few minutes, but the game was great. Detroit, Seattle, Bonanza. Fun stuff. If you have DK Metcalf and you lost by less than two points, you got screwed. I'm not going to lie. He definitely
Starting point is 00:02:19 caught that two-point conversion. I'm Adam Azer with Dave Richard and Jamie Eisenberg, and we are talking waiver wire today. We've got bye weeks. Four teams on by. The Eagles, Lions, Titans, Chargers. They're going to take a little break.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Where would you guys go on your bye week? A little vacation. Sleepy hollow New York. I don't live there anymore, so that wouldn't waste your time. I'd probably have a staycation. If it was only one week, I had to get back to work after that. I wouldn't want to get out of sync.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Okay. I think I'd go to Disney. I'd go there again. I'm not that good, so sure. Yeah. No, I'd leave them home. All right. Best matchups this week.
Starting point is 00:03:02 The Browns are at Washington. There might be something, maybe a little Jerry Judy, Deshaun Watson, Jacksonville against the Colts. Those are two teams that you might want to stream against. The Bears get the Panthers. Green Bay is at the Rams. And there are some fantasy relevant players to pick up for the Packers, of course. Before we get into the waiver wire, guys, you know, can you drop Rishi Rice? Jamie, we may not know until next week what the diagnosis and the prognosis is. Can you drop Rasheed Rice? 100%. It sucks, but I think we know where this is headed.
Starting point is 00:03:36 He's not going to play anytime soon, whether it's ACL or not. I mean, if you want to wait and see if they can stash him on IR, then clearly try and do so. But, you know, if your roster is tight and you need to get some receiver help, then yes, you're dropping. Hopefully we get some news on it on Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, that he's just not going to make it back in time for the season and that they start to get him ready for 2025.
Starting point is 00:04:02 But what's the best case scenario here? That he's back in like week 16? Could that even be a possibility? Or is it the playoffs? I don't even know. So I would lean toward, yeah, you could drop him. It's easier to do if you do not have IR spots. If you've got that IR spot sitting there
Starting point is 00:04:20 and you just wish you could throw him in there, then that would obviously make sense. But you can't do that until the Chiefs put them on IR. They're not doing that yet. I think push comes to shove. You could definitely let them go. All right, then let's get into it. Who are, Jamie, the top three waiver wire priorities for Fantasy Week 5? They're all receivers. The first one would be Dontavion Wicks. The injury to Christian Watson should allow him to be a huge focal point of the offense. And he's been very good over the last two years when he's had six plus targets.
Starting point is 00:04:50 So you see he had 13 targets in the game against Minnesota. Should something that that's something that should be a staple moving forward. Xavier Leggett would be number two. You're looking at what he just did with 10 targets, six catches, 66 yards and a touchdown in the first game without Adam Thielen. That's a huge opportunity for him moving forward. And hopefully he continues to be a focal point of the offense when Thielen does return if he comes back after the four games that he's out. And then Wondell Robinson has just been a great PPR receiver for three of four games this season. Last two in particular, over 13 PPR
Starting point is 00:05:19 points per game in both of those. And I don't see things changing dramatically for him. He's almost going to roll out of bed and get you six catches and probably eight plus targets on a weekly basis. Okay. Dontavian Wicks, Xavier Liggett, Wandale Robinson for Jamie. Dave, how about you? Different order, different player in there at the top. It's Kareem Hunt at the top, available in 47% of leagues. Anytime we've got a chance to get a team's number one running back, I think we should take it. And here he is, the lead running back of the Kansas City Chiefs. He looked good. He didn't fumble.
Starting point is 00:05:51 He's going to continue to be at least the running downs back in that offense. I know the offense is not the same as it used to be, but he's still going to get some good work in there. I would, in a vacuum, take him first and foremost. I agree with Wicks at the top of the wide receivers. Liggett is next for me. Really close call between him and Josh Downs. We'll talk about that later.
Starting point is 00:06:11 But my top three, that's what you asked for. Kareem the Dream, Dontavion Wicks, Xavier Liggett. Kareem the Dream. All right, and Clyde Edwards-Hilaire is expected back this week. So you're still favoring Kareem Hunt. Until he's back and until the chiefs make it clear that Clyde Edwards, he layer is going to be the guy and Clyde Edwards, he layer looks like the guy I'm sticking with hunt. It feels like that backfield is going to be messy because it
Starting point is 00:06:35 feels like there's going to be multiple guys doing multiple things. I mean, you saw some as a P Ryan, despite the fact that hunt was doing a great job, he got the goal line opportunity. Wouldn't be shocking if because of the receiver situation, they cut one of P Ryan or Carson steel and try and get steel back on their practice squad. I was reading some of the stuff out of Kansas city. Uh, hunt definitely should have the best option opportunity in the short term of being the guy for Kansas city. But like you said, Adam, what happens when Clyde comes back? How much of a factor is he in, in any different role? He could be the passing downs guy. He could be the first and second down guy. I don't think it'll be the goal line guy, but he has those options to be the potential leader of the chiefs backfield. So I do agree
Starting point is 00:07:13 that hunch would be the number one running back to add. And if you need running back help, then sure, you could put them ahead of the receivers, but we could be looking at a situation here where that was his best game. And it wouldn't be shocking if the chiefs just use multiple guys because right now they're a mess offensively could could we make the case that if you're looking purely long term maybe wandale is the only one that makes sense i don't i would be shocked honestly if first watson they're talking about putting him on ir so that's four games. If he's out there by is week 10 and knowing how Watson's recovered from injuries, like we could have Dontavion Wicks as, as a factor until week 11, Adam Dillon's out for at least three more games.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Who knows when he comes back, how bad his hamstring injury is. We get is a future for them. Clearly feeling is not part of that. So we could be looking at him as still being a featured option in this offense. Robinson, to me, is the safest for sure because you've seen what he's been, not just this year, but in the last couple of seasons when he's been healthy. I think also, you know, you're looking at it if you want to flip it and say if you're just looking one week. I mean, Trey Sermon might be the best guy to go at because if Jonathan Taylor's out and Sermon's the lead running back against Jacksonville,
Starting point is 00:08:24 then you could be talking about a must start running back for just a one week situation. So there's lots of different ways you could play this week's waiver wire. You either have bi-week replacements, you have injury replacements, you have long-term versus short-term, you know, you're four and oh,
Starting point is 00:08:36 you're probably not looking at necessarily replacing somebody for this week. You're four and oh, and you have a bunch of injuries. You might have to make some tough decisions on who you're going to play if you want to keep that record or, or just look ahead to the future. So there's lots of different ways you can have to make some tough decisions on who you're going to play if you want to keep that record or just look ahead to the future. So there's lots of different ways you can go with this week's playbook.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Absolutely. But I think the point is that there's a lot of good, maybe very good, I would say, short-term help. And man, do we need that right now in fantasy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:58 You didn't mention Tucker Craft yet, but he's the top tight end. Oh, absolutely. And I've got some really encouraging numbers on Tucker Kraft that we can go through later. But also, you know, a couple weeks ago we talked about Deontay Johnson was about 75% rostered.
Starting point is 00:09:12 And there were some – I don't remember. I think that was the week Pacheco got hurt. So we were talking about the Chiefs running backs. And I said, listen, the number one priority, if he's available in your league, should be Deontay Johnson. He wasn't available. And Chuba Hubbard, same thing. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:25 He was, so that's a good call. I don't know who it is this week, but to me, it might be Ingram and Njoku. So here's your chance. Tight end's been so bad. These guys are in that same range that Deontay was a couple weeks ago, about 75% rostered.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I don't know if they're coming back this week. I feel like Njoku's closer than Ingram, but maybe you stash him and you have a guy that was, those are two guys who were drafted as top 10 tight ends. So they're available. You can take a look at them as well.
Starting point is 00:09:55 All right, so it's Wicks and Liget for both of you. And Wandale would be the third guy for Jamie. Kareem Hunt would be the first guy for Dave. And then, yeah, Trey Sermon, like if Jonathan Taylor were out, would you go Trey Sermon. Kareem Hunt would be the first guy for Dave. And then, yeah, Trey Sermon, like if Jonathan Taylor were out,
Starting point is 00:10:07 would you go Trey Sermon or Kareem Hunt this week? Sermon. Agreed. And if Anthony Richardson were out, maybe Josh Downs. Like if I told you for sure Anthony Richardson were out this week, maybe Josh Downs would be the best pickup
Starting point is 00:10:20 for this week only. He would not for me, but he would certainly be a higher priority. I debated Downs versus Liggett because even when Richardson was in, when both he and Richardson had been on the field this year, he's got a 33% target per route run rate.
Starting point is 00:10:38 He's exciting. If you asked me for a top four, Adam, he would have been fourth for me. Wicks is exciting, though. I mean, I got to say. Oh, Wicks is awesome. Yeah, I mean, we talked about him on Beyond the Box score. I do think that drops could be a concern, but the targets, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:56 and he's so explosive. He gets open. Runs some deep routes, though. I mean, they were running very deep routes, and that, you know, he's kind of like a high A-dot guy. Those guys scare me a little bit. But, yeah, they all get open. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:08 The offense is so good. And like we said yesterday, Green Bay is a gift to fantasy. Okay. We've got some announcements, some programming announcements. And CBS Sports Network. You know we're on CBS Sports Network every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, typically at 1 p.m. Eastern. But the schedule is a little bit flexible. You know we're on CBS Sports Network every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, typically at 1 p.m. Eastern.
Starting point is 00:11:26 But the schedule is a little bit flexible. So today, which is Tuesday, and tomorrow, which I believe is Wednesday, we're at noon Eastern. Both today and tomorrow, noon Eastern on CBS Sports Network if you want to watch a little bit more fantasy football today. And those shows eventually make their way to YouTube.com slash fantasy football today. Friday stays at 1 p.m. Eastern. Sunday, Schaefer, if you want to help me out, have we finalized our Sunday plan yet? It's not finalized yet, but we'll be on YouTube simulcasting on CBS Sports HQ.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I didn't know it was going to be on today. But from 9 to 10, and then we're going to come back at uh at 11 or 12 to 1 on youtube only yeah so we're gonna get a 9 a.m to 10 a.m usually we're 11 30 to 1 we're breaking it up because we got the london game this week uh 9 to 10 a.m and 12 to 1 so yes so we'll keep you updated on that. We're all going to have breakfast together. What did you say? We're all going to have breakfast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:29 You guys are going to get a nice little break. Schaefer doesn't know this yet. But Thursday's podcast is going to be at 7 in the morning. So, get up. Maybe Friday. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know if I can commit to both.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And I haven't asked Dave. But Thursday's podcast is definitely going to be at 7 in the morning. So, yeah, we'll be rise and shine with fantasy football today. We'll talk about fab when we come back after this break on fantasy football today. All right, Dave, how much fab are we spending on our favorite players this week? I don't know if just in general I'd go higher than 25% on any of the big prizes this week? I don't know if just in general, I'd go higher than 25% on any of the big prizes this week. But the caveat is you might be desperate. You could be Owen for, you could be one in three. You really need a running back. You really need a wide receiver. You got to do what you got to do.
Starting point is 00:13:16 And you got to spend more than that. But I think 25% is the max is for, for a cream for Wix. Probably go a little lower than that for league it. Probably go a little lower than that for Liggett and a little bit lower than that for Downs and Tucker Craft. Okay. Jamie, anything to add? I don't think I've... I'm about 70% through the column. I don't think I've put anything more than 15% on anybody. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Yeah, and if you miss out on the big guys, you could put a $4 bid on Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington. Right, so there's not, I think, in the short term, and, you know, Flacco starting could certainly
Starting point is 00:13:55 put Josh Downs in this conversation also, but like Jordan Whittington and Wanda Robinson, like we just need a one-week replacement. Like they're both going to be probably around 11 to 14 PPR points, you know?
Starting point is 00:14:05 So downs, if Flacco starts probably in that same range, you know? So if you're just looking at one-week replacement, like let somebody else overpay for Wix or overpay for Liget, and then you get somebody that you can use in PPR that can help you at least for one week. Keep in mind, Malik Neighbors is still in the concussion protocol. I actually don't even know if it would be better or worse for Wandale. You got to figure he's benefiting from
Starting point is 00:14:29 Neighbors being on the field, but I would say probably better because that's a lot of targets that need to be distributed. So we'll give you the injury updates. There's a lot of them. We'll get to that in a minute. But you know what would be great is if I make a really bad fab bid, like I bid a lot of money on somebody, I get them and then he stinks.
Starting point is 00:14:46 If I got a bonus for after that. Well, you know what? That's kind of what you can do with BetMGM. If you haven't signed up for the BetMGM app yet, use the bonus code fantasy when you sign up and you're going to get up to a $1,500 first bet offer on your first wager with BetMGM. So here's how it works.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Download the Bet MGM app, sign up using bonus code fantasy, deposit at least $10 and place your first wager on any game. And you'll receive up to $1,500 in bonus bets. If your bet loses, just make sure you use the bonus code fantasy when you sign up. Yeah. Like I say,
Starting point is 00:15:22 like all the people who've been on Isaiah likely should get a $1,500 bonus fab. I think there's been a few examples of that this year, right? So it's almost like a, a, on a weekly basis that there's been somebody that you've bid on probably a little bit too much. And who knows at what point there'll be useful for you again. There, I mean, there's examples on each side of it, but likely is definitely in that category. I would say Quentin Johnson's in that category. Carson Steele is in that category. Know that they were helpful probably in the game. Well, Steele was helpful in the game right after you picked him up.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Johnson scored a touchdown, but he's going to get dropped in a lot of leagues. Likely, obviously, has been terrible since his big big game so nobody got the benefit of starting him i'm sure i'm missing one or two but it's it's just the nature of derrick car has been horrible the last two weeks who derrick car derrick car yep another one all right let's go through some news and notes here so aaron rogers is going to play but he's dealing with a couple of leg issues uh anthony richardson you guys currently are ranking anthony play, but he's dealing with a couple of leg issues. Anthony Richardson, you guys currently are ranking Anthony Richardson. He's been optimistic about playing. Will Levis left in the first quarter with a shoulder injury.
Starting point is 00:16:32 They have a bye. It seems like they're going to go back to Levis if he's healthy. Mason Rudolph replaced him and really wasn't asked to do much. Christian McCaffrey has Achilles tendonitis in both legs. Fun. Yeah. We'll just leave it at that. Here's the thereby is week 10. And the timeline that was given was early November. Yeah. So that week 11 game is November 10th. So hopefully that's what he's targeting. OK, Nick Chubb is expected to practice this week. He could be back within the next three weeks. Nick Chubb, Jonathan Brooks, maybe not as soon.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Don't know yet. Not expected to come off the pup list this week, I don't think. That is what the report was yesterday. Bijan Robinson is a Thursday game. He's got a hamstring issue. They listed him as limited. You guys are ranking Bijan, right? We're ranking him.
Starting point is 00:17:22 That could explain why Algier had more carries and why Algier and Robinson were dead even in snaps in the second half of Sunday's game. He also popped up, if you remember, Friday with a shoulder injury. So Robinson may be dealing with multiple injuries right now. All right, wonderful. You should consider that if you're buying low, I guess. Is that Algier's property? Tyler Algier might be the number one All right, wonderful. Well, you should consider that if you're buying low, I guess. Is that Algiers?
Starting point is 00:17:46 Tyler Algier might be the number one running back that Algier is rostered in 57% of leagues. More injuries for you. So Trey Sermon could get an opportunity this week. Jonathan Taylor has what's being
Starting point is 00:18:00 called a mild high ankle sprain. OK, so don't know the timeline there. And he hopefully he plays this what's being called a mild high ankle sprain. Okay. So don't know the timeline there. And he, hopefully he plays this week, but how concerned are you guys about Jonathan Taylor, Dave, like going forward? I'm not super concerned because I don't think the Colts are that
Starting point is 00:18:19 concerned. He talked to reporters after the game. There seemed to be optimism about him being able to play in week five. What I would like to do, though, if I have Jonathan Taylor in my league, is go after Trey Sermon and just back him up. Okay. And those are most of the running back injuries. Wide receiver, we still don't know about Rasheed Rice,
Starting point is 00:18:39 but we talked about him. You can probably drop him. Cooper Cup is out this week. They have a bye next week. Jalen Waddell was kind of limping around. I don't think it's anything that's going to keep him out. And then, of course, there's the Christian Watson injury. He has an ankle injury.
Starting point is 00:18:51 He could end up on IR. Tight end news. George Kittle is going to be day-to-day, they say. He came back, so I figure George Kittle is probably good. Taysom Hill, hopefully he can come back. We need tight ends. And then there was Dallas Goddard leaving with an injury, but they're on by.
Starting point is 00:19:06 So hopefully he's back in week six. Defenses. Are there any defenses that are like so banged up right now? These are great matchups. Seattle. Yeah, but who are they playing though? The Giants. The Giants.
Starting point is 00:19:22 But no, that's a good point. If Nabors clears the concussion protocol, that's great. Wanda Robinson's a prize off the waiver wire. That's good. Devin Singletary could be in line for a bounce-back game. Yeah. It's a favorable matchup for the Giants. Daniel Jones is a bi-week QB.
Starting point is 00:19:37 You got the guts to do that? Go for it. I wish I liked someone on New England because Miami lost Jalen Phillips yesterday to a knee injury. I hope he comes back soon. He's coming off a torn Achilles. I've got Ramondre Stevenson. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And all right. We'll leave it at that. A big thank you to our audience. We won the podcast awards, the sports category. We did it. I love it. Thank you. Every year we're like, vote for us, podcast awards, nominate us. So you guys did it.
Starting point is 00:20:04 And then after you nominated us, a panel did, it wasn't just a fan vote. A panel then voted and selected us as the winner. So I want to give a big thank you to everybody at Podcast Awards and all of our listeners and viewers for nominating us, voting for us on podcastawards.com. And I'm super, I'm proud of everybody. Thank you so much. And we're honored to have won the award. And we'll beat you out for best male-hosted podcast?
Starting point is 00:20:26 I don't know. I don't think we were. We weren't a finalist. We were a finalist for the People's Choice Award. Let's see what the best podcast in the world was, according to Podcast Awards. The People's Choice was Let's Get Haunted. Okay, Let's Get Haunted.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Their fantasy advice stinks. I don't think they're a competitor top three players at each position quarterback is interesting all right we've got jalen hertz and jared goff and tennessee and the chargers on by this week so jamie who are the top three quarterbacks to get i mean it's a robust list let me tell you um trevor lawrence just because he's got a good matchup and coming off his best game of the season, he's definitely someone to consider. Then I would look at Deshaun Watson,
Starting point is 00:21:12 who has a good matchup against Washington. They are still number one in most fantasy points allowed to quarterback, so hopefully he takes advantage of it as offensive line can protect him. And then the third one is either going to be long-term Andy Dalton because he's coming off a relatively strong game, 19.7 fantasy points. I hope that that's the floor. And you saw the ceiling two weeks ago with over 30, but it's tough matchuping at Chicago short term, however,
Starting point is 00:21:33 would be Joe Flacco because if he does start in place of Anthony Richardson, then he has the potential to be a top 12 fantasy quarterback. We've seen what his upside has been last year when he took over for the Browns and he just had 19 fantasy points against the Steelers, stepping in for Anthony Richardson. Great matchup against Jacksonville. So those are the four quarterbacks to look for this week. Here's the way you play that is if you go to your waiver wire and you see that Lawrence is there, Dalton's there, Stafford, Deshaun, Daniel Jones, a whole buffet of mid QBs. Get Flacco first
Starting point is 00:22:06 and carry him until you know whether or not Richardson's going to play. If Richardson plays, you just drop Flacco. You pick up one of those other quarterbacks. Simple. What if Geno Smith, Justin Fields, or Sam Darnold is available? You're going to go for them first and you're going to
Starting point is 00:22:22 forget about Joe Flacco. What about Darnold against the Jets, though? You'd start him over. You're going to forget about everyone, and you're going to start Sam Darnold. He would be better than the guys who are available, but he would be behind Fields. He would be behind Geno Smith.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Okay. But you like Sam Darnold better than, say, Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence. Yes. Dave, top three running backs, Kareem Hunt and? Kareem Hunt's number one. And then just based on the possibility that they play in week number five, it's Trey Sermon and Tyler Algier.
Starting point is 00:22:54 If those guys, let's just lay out a scenario where Taylor's fine, Bijan's fine, Hunt would be one. Roshan is still out there in 44% of leagues. He would be two. We had fun with Tyler bidet. Didn't we? It's Jaleel McLaughlin. Number three for me at 59%.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Okay. 59% available. But so what? Not even going to take a shot on Clyde. No. Over like McLaughlin. Okay. Cream hunt.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Trey sermon, Tyler Algier. But if sermon and Algier are not looking like options this week, pivot to Roshan Johnson and Jaleel McLaughlin. And the same thing. If you go to your waiver wire and there's a bunch of below-average running backs that are sitting there and you think you can get them later in the week, carry, maybe you prioritize.
Starting point is 00:23:39 I think you have to prioritize Sermon ahead of Algier because at least Bijan was limited. I can't take seriously that Tyler Algier might have a chance to play in week five at this point. Tajay Spears is 65% rostered, so he hasn't been that good. He scored on a direct snap last night, had 15 carries, though.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And I just wonder if they say this game, and they're like, you know what? We're just going to be the most run-heavy team in football. No matter who our quarterback is. That's exactly how they felt yesterday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew that the Dolphins offense couldn't get first downs. So Spears, would you add Spears or Kareem Hunt
Starting point is 00:24:19 if they were both available? Hunt because Spears is on a buy. I know, but let's say, okay, fine. Let's say you didn't need someone this week if i didn't need someone and they were both available i would take spears i'll stick with kareem hunt all right you could also i think the move if you can is to try and get spears and clyde spears all right all right because hunt will go first wide receiver news or wide receiver priorities, Jamie.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Well, we already did it. So for you, it's Wicks. Is it Liget 2, Wandale 3, or did I switch that? Liget 2, Wandale 3. Wicks is 1. Yeah. And then who did I have fourth?
Starting point is 00:24:58 The Rams guys, I think. Whittington? Yeah. Over 2-2? Yeah, I like Whittington better than. Over two, two. Yeah. Like waiting to better to do. Ooh. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:12 So with the difference there, Whittington is kind of on. The difference there is like, uh, Wanda Robinson versus Malik neighbors. It's like Whittington is kind of the more short area guy. Two, two is the more explosive guy. Uh, they're playing the Packers this week Packers have given up a lot of uh 20 plus yard catches to wide receivers they've been a little bit vulnerable there Dave I it sounds with the
Starting point is 00:25:33 way you were talking that you prefer at well take me to the ballet I want to too okay this is a position also where you're going to see guys like Courtland Sutton and Jordan Addison, Jerry Judy, who's got the commanders. You're going to see guys like that available. So we can break that down a little bit later, like who'd be the best. But actually, why don't we do it now, Jamie? Would you take Jordan Addison over Dontavian Wicks? No. Would you take Courtland Sutton over Dontavian Wicks? No. Would you take Cortland Sutton over Dontavian Wicks? No. All right. Sutton, the last three number one wide receivers against the Raiders have absolutely killed them.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Zay Flowers, Deontay Johnson. And I, no, Amari Cooper, he had the 82-yard touchdown called back, but he didn't kill them. He killed it. Browns, maybe the best pass that Sean Watson threw all game was off Cooper's chest ended up being an interception uh but okay so Wicks is still a high priority even if those guys are available okay uh Dave tight ends how do you spell fun at tight end k-r-a-f-t he's been he's been running routes ahead of Luke Musgrave all season long,
Starting point is 00:26:45 had the breakout game in week four because the Packers were trailing. I don't think you're ever going to get a game like that from Kraft again, but I do think he's going to be one of those decent floor tight ends in full PPR that you'll feel okay. You'll definitely feel okay using him as a biweek replacement, and he could end up being a top 12 tight end rest of season in this new world that we're living in where tight ends mostly suck and seven PPR points or 50 yards is awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:14 So Kraft, 95% available. I think if you're good at wide receiver, running back, quarterback, no buys to worry about, you might prioritize him as the top guy to get off waivers. He's number one, and he's not the only decent tight end that's available. Cade Otten has had good reception numbers each of the past two games. He's two for me. Tyler Conklin is three. Okay. Kraft, Otten, Conklin. And since the start of the 2023 season, Tucker Kraft has only 43 targets, but among the 42 tight ends
Starting point is 00:27:49 with 40 or more targets since week one of 2023, Tucker Kraft ranks fifth in yards per target behind George Kittle, Isaiah Likely, Noah Fant, weird, and Mark Andrews.
Starting point is 00:27:59 He's just ahead of Jonu Smith. So I don't put too much stock into that stat because it's only 43 targets and you see Noah Fant and Johnnie Smith are on that list. But he played six games
Starting point is 00:28:08 without Luke Musgrave last year and he's completely just passed him as Dave already said. In those six games, he scored nine and a half or more PPR fantasy points five times. And he had 48 or more yards
Starting point is 00:28:20 in four of those six games. What did those four games have in common? Christian Watson didn't play. So that's 48 or more yards in four of those six games. What did those four games have in common? Christian Watson didn't play. So that's 48 or more yards in four games without Luke Musgrave and Christian Watson last year. Musgrave is still playing. He's still a factor,
Starting point is 00:28:33 but by the way, if you got 48 yards per game from Tucker craft, so you'd be pretty happy about that with the state of the tight end right now. So he's been pretty good when he's gotten his opportunities and definitely someone I'll be looking at this week for sure. I think anybody that's got Kyle Pitts or Mark Andrews should go and get Tucker Kraft and start him this week over those guys. Okay. But what's my logical next question here? Did I just answer it? No, you said starting dropping hits or Andrews. Are you dropping pits or Andrews? Are you dropping them? What type of cheese to put on a burger?
Starting point is 00:29:06 Ooh, cheddar. That would be my choice. Yeah. Swiss. If I'm going with mushrooms, I'm going to put Swiss on it. Yeah. That's gross. Oh, that's gross.
Starting point is 00:29:17 I'm not a mushroom guy. That's right. Dave hates mushrooms. Yeah. Would you drop Andrews or pits for Kraft? At this point, you could drop Pitts. Andrews is tougher to do, but if that's the only move you can make, how many times are you going to continue to take a zero?
Starting point is 00:29:35 There's the quote from John Harbaugh yesterday when he said something like, Andrews is definitely going to have big games. He said it about all the players that have had light games. He said it about Zay Flowers in the same breath. So, listen, the numbers are what they are. One target each of the last two games. Derrick Henry has changed how this offense operates. And I'm very concerned about Mark Andrews being reliable again.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I feel like we're at the point where you can't start them and feel good about it. So if you're not going to start them and you've got a tight end that you do feel comfortable about, even if it's a short-term option and Andrews is the worst player on your bench, you can, you can send him in as one target per game to the waiver wire. I feel like there should be some good team names with the waiver wire
Starting point is 00:30:19 tight ends craft. There's so many possibilities, witchcraft gone, but not Kate Otten. Right. That's so many possibilities. Witchcraft. Gone but not Kate Otten. Right? That's good. Why would you ruin your fantasy team by naming it after the worst position in fantasy this year? What if you had Daria Gurbawale? Would you name your team Truth or Daria? Pretty sure I've used that one before, too.
Starting point is 00:30:44 That's the sad thing. I probably got the same reaction. DSTs, Jamie, DSTs, DSTs for this week. Uh, you have the Vikings against the jets.
Starting point is 00:30:54 You have the Broncos against the Raiders. You have the Seahawks still against the giants. I don't care how beat up they are. It's still a giants. You have the bucks against the Falcons and you have the Raiders against the Broncos. That doesn't sound like a super appealing list, but I get like, you also have the Doliders against the Broncos. That doesn't sound like a super appealing list,
Starting point is 00:31:06 but I get... You also have the Dolphins and the Patriots against each other. That's not... The Dolphins are too rostered. That's what it was. I'm not criticizing your list.
Starting point is 00:31:12 I'm just saying. The Broncos are really good on defense. I think people just need to kind of buy in here. And they're available in over 70% of CBS leagues. And the Raiders are bad.
Starting point is 00:31:23 And who was your number one? Was it the Vikings? Vikings. About 40% of CBS leagues. And the Raiders are bad. And who was your number one? Was it the Vikings? Vikings. About 40% available on CBS. The Vikings have been also really, really good. They get the Jets this week. All right, so Jets.
Starting point is 00:31:35 There's one small problem with the Vikings. They get the Jets this week, and then they're on bye coming back from England. So are you going to make that commitment to them and carry them and another DST? No, because they have Detroit in week seven. No, I'm just going to play them and then drop them. Yeah, it's a one-week deal. The Broncos, if you want to keep them for multiple weeks, let's see.
Starting point is 00:31:51 They have, yeah, Raiders, Chargers, maybe. Yeah, they're just good. I mean, they're just good. Okay, kickers? Will Reichard against the Jets in England. Jason Myers against the Giants. Chris Boswell against the Cowboys. Austin Siebert against the Jets in England, Jason Myers against the Giants, Chris Boswell against the Cowboys, Austin Siebert against the Browns,
Starting point is 00:32:09 and Greg Joseph, if he still has the job, against Seattle. Yeah, Greg Joseph, I know he kicked like five field goals last week. He's a terrible kicker. He's just been... This guy made five field goals.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Yeah, I know. But I think he went 0-1 the week before, and they showed his stat just about how bad he's been. I think the Packers would have liked to have had him this past weekend. Yeah. The Bills need a new kicker, I think. Well, the Packers had him. They cut him.
Starting point is 00:32:35 They cut him. And any IDPs? I didn't look. I'm sorry. Yeah, me either. Sorry. Sorry, folks. Let's go to shallow leagues.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Jamie, I'll give you the shallow. Who's in the shallow leagues that we need to know about? I mean, we've talked about a few of them. The quarterbacks, Justin Fields, if he's available, would be the prize. Sam Darnold is still in the conversation for sure. Geno Smith, good matchup against the Giants. So all those guys are on the table. Quick pause.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Let me ask you about Justin Fields. So you'd rather have Fields than Gino Smith for the rest of season? I would just take it on a one week basis because I think these guys are going to be added and dropped several times throughout the bye weeks. So yes, I would rather have Justin Fields this week than Gino Smith. So would you drop Derek Carr for Justin Fields? I would drop Derek Carr for Daniel Jones this week. Who else? Who's like a struggling quarterback? Derek Carr for Justin Fields? I would drop Derek Carr for Daniel Jones this week. Ew.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Who else? Who's like a struggling quarterback? Would you drop Anthony Richardson for Justin Fields? I probably would not do that, but unless I'm 0-4 and 1-3 and just need to get wins, then I would probably have... Well, if I'm that bad, I'd probably have other players drop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Okay. Sorry. Continue with some shallow league running backs. The running backs, Jonathan Brooks, still worth adding, even though, as you said, he may not return in week number five. He's going to get back on the field at some point, so he should be on your roster. Rico Dattles, 82%.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Tough two-week stretch coming up for them, but he's looking still more and more like the best running back for the Cowboys. I don't expect Cam Ak makers to start this week. I'm hoping it's Joe Mixon, but still you should be rostered just in case Mixon's out. Once again, Chase Brown is an obvious one, 75% rostered Alexander Madison.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Another obvious one is Antonio Pierce is basically saying he's going to be the starter moving forward. And Tajay Spears, I put him in this category at 65%. So what did your peers say about the running decks? He said in regard to Madison, he's going to go get it. Something. Let me see if I have the quote.
Starting point is 00:34:28 He's going to get it in terms of his work. He was deserving of more snaps and he's going to get it. Something like that. Yep. Wonderful. Okay. Shallow league wide receivers. A lot of them.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Yep. It's a fun list. You listed a few of them already. Cortland Sutton should be added where he's still available 71 rostered um jacoby myers look he wasn't great last week against the browns but he did get 10 targets and now he's got to deal with most likely the jets and who knows if he's going to get the the elimination treatment from patrick's rutan but broncos yeah no so so actually i want to bring this up he he this is bad news for my. He played a season low, like 20% of his snaps in the slot last week.
Starting point is 00:35:10 So with Devontae Adams out, he was mostly an outside wide receiver. He's usually about 40% in the slot. He was 20% or so this week. So yeah, that's bad news for him against Denver. Because they use a lot of two tight end sets. Well, no, I'm just saying because Adams was out, so he played outside more than he ever had. So you'd rather him be in the slot against the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:35:30 So a guy who's 80% out wide. I'm not saying he's not going to get shadowed, but yeah, not a great matchup this week for Myers. Keenan Allen's at 77%. I hope last week was a shake the rust off game for him, but should still be rostered. Jerry Judy, he's been 11 and a half PPR points or more in three or four games coming off his best game last week against the raiders jordan addison you alluded to this i'd like to see more targets for him but that
Starting point is 00:35:52 scored two touchdowns on four targets one of them was a rushing score and darnell mooney uh didn't have a great game last week but the two previous games 14 plus ppr points or more so i still think he's going to be a significant factor for the Falcons going forward. It's so funny if you're sitting there in a shallow league, do I go with Jerry Judy, who's got the commanders this week, or do I go with Jordan Addison? Let's see if I can just do a quick math here. Deshaun Watson has thrown 148 passes.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Sam Darnold has thrown 106. 42 more pass attempts. That's 10 per game, right? 10 and a half per game for the Browns. And yet Darnold's thrown 11 touchdowns and Watson's thrown four, you know? And it's like, and Darnold's also thrown for a lot more yards than Watson, like 100, 200 more yards than Watson's pathetic. But yeah, I mean, there are a lot of targets for Jerry Judy. Now he's facing the commanders. It's going to be a, I mean, there are a lot of targets for Jerry Judy and now he's facing the
Starting point is 00:36:45 commanders. It's going to be a pretty interesting decision, start or sit for people. And then there's those tight ends, Jamie there's Ingram and a joke, but there's a couple more that I'm missing. Yeah. Fryer Muth who's coming off the game.
Starting point is 00:36:56 We scored a touchdown. So as the offense is opening up a little more, you know, who knows if it was just because of how the game unfolded last week, or maybe they'll allow Justin Fields to be a little bit more of a, of a game player as opposed to a game manager. But he looked good and he's basically gotten you a low end number one options,
Starting point is 00:37:13 no one low end number one production all season long. Cole commit. I know it wasn't the best game for him last week, but still should be a factor in this offense. At least I hope so going forward. And now's the time to start picking up TJ Hawkinson. You know, we said that for the last couple of weeks. His window
Starting point is 00:37:25 is now open for him to return. I don't think they're going to rush him back. They have their bye next week, so could be back in week seven. Week six, excuse me. No, week seven. If you... Not in IR spot and have an ability to carry two tight ends, Hawkinson's worth picking up. Yeah, look,
Starting point is 00:37:43 Friar Muth, just to go back to him, he is second on the team in targets. That's exactly what we want. And Kemet, I don't know, Jamie, Kemet to me feels more like a drop. He's had one good game when Caleb Williams threw over 50 passes. It's just too crowded of a receiving core, and honestly, Caleb Williams is playing so poorly
Starting point is 00:38:00 right now. Would you drop Kemet for Kraft? Yes. Would you drop Kemet for Conklin? No. Okay. All right, we'll take a break. When we come back, Dave will tell you
Starting point is 00:38:12 who's available in the deep leagues. None of these guys are available in my league, Dave. We're going to come right back after this. All right, I'm looking forward to actually talking about the games last night and what the heck the Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddell and Devon HM managers are supposed to be doing right now. But first, let's tell you those players that are available in the deepest of leagues are not quite Leagues. At quarterback, Andy Dalton would be at the top of the list. And he might be someone with staying power for the rest of the season. Jamie talked about him earlier and what his floor seems to be.
Starting point is 00:38:52 Schedule will get tougher for him, though, as he moves forward starting this week against Chicago. Daniel Jones is available in 80% of leagues. Joe Flacco rewind about maybe like 10, 12 minutes to hear what I think you should do with Flacco this week. I think there is a plan for him. Then after that, it's a lot of yuck and wait and see. Yuck, Bo Nix, 72% available. Wait and see, Drake May, 88% available. His time is coming, just not in week five.
Starting point is 00:39:18 That's a stash in 2QB and Superflex leagues. Minshew, 84% available. Yuck, Jacoby Brissett, 94% Tyler Huntley, 91% double. Yeah. So just tell us the ones you like. Don't tell us the yuck guys.
Starting point is 00:39:32 All right, then here's the list. And Dalton, there you go. How about picking up Tyler Huntley? Yeah. All right. So who do you like at running back?
Starting point is 00:39:42 All right. Strictly going with the guys that we like and not for people who are just desperate and will take anything at the position. Trey Sermon makes sense, 94% available. You might be cutting him by Friday, but you could prioritize him. And Darragun Bowali is the only other one
Starting point is 00:39:56 that's available in 70% plus of CBS leagues. He's the third down back for the Texans. I think he'll keep that job when Joe Mixon comes back. Could be good for like six PPR points when he doesn't have a lucky catch and run against the Jaguars. Okay. Then there's obviously a bunch of handcuffs
Starting point is 00:40:13 you could get, right? I mean, well, I don't even know. Yeah, but I'm not prioritizing most of them at this point. I'm probably wrong about that because, oh, you know what? This one, you got to say Clyde. In a deep league, he's 17% rostered. I'm going to make you say Clyde Edwards-Ziller, Dave.
Starting point is 00:40:28 He's 70% rostered, then he's already too far a roster. No, 17%. Oh, you said 17%. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, Clyde ahead of Agumbo Wally for sure. And if you don't want Trey Sermon, you don't want to deal with the Colts running back situation, you don't have Jonathan Taylor, yes, Clyde Edwards Edwards. It makes sense. Tank Bigsby, 24%
Starting point is 00:40:48 rostered. Okay. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, there we go. You want receivers too, Adam? Yeah. What? I said, do you want to do the receivers? No, I'm just sorry. I'm sorry if I try to step on your toes. I forgot that Bigsby was only 24% rostered. I'm all for getting all the help that I can sorry. I'm sorry if I try to step on your toes. I forgot that Bigsby was only 24% rostered. I'm all for getting all the help that I can get. So anything to help people handle the waiver wire better in their deep leagues. It's a team effort here.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Yeah. Anyway, go ahead with the receivers. All right. Wicks is available in 87% of leagues. So of course he's going to be a priority there. Downs 81% of leagues. He's a priority. Wandale 72%. So a lot of the names that we already talked about, but if we want to go deeper, Whittington 89% available. I do like Atwell more than Whittington. I do like them both. Trey Tucker, 90% of leagues played a lot for the Raiders without Devonta Adams on the field. He's a speed guy. And if he's not going to get covered by Patrick Sertan, then I think that there's a chance that he could have another decent game as a bi-week replacement at wide receiver. I don't mind him one bit. Other guys that you could stash and see what happens,
Starting point is 00:41:53 Jalen Tolbert, Jonathan Mingo, Demario Douglas. And how about this blast from the past? Speaking about Chiefs with hyphenated last names, Juju Smith-Schuster. 97% available. Might become a full-time wide receiver for Kansas City. Yeah. Good call. All right.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Tight ends. Kraft is 95% available. So cheese it on with him. Odden, 91% available. He would be next. And then the only other, well, Brandon Strange, 78% available. You can go and get him if you miss on Kraft and Otten. Eric All has four catches each of his last three games for Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:42:32 And I wonder if he could end up overtaking Gasicki in the tight end one role. He's available in 97% of leagues. I would not start him, but I would absolutely stash him in those deeper leagues yeah yeah eric just gonna keep throwing that i i really want him to become a thing we don't have any relevant erics like let's just bring back eric decker so i could use it what about eric henry henry um i have a fun on cbs sports network today i have a fun. Who has more involving Derrick Henry? And we'll see if you guys can get it. Also, I wonder if Noah Gray is going to become, you know, he had four for 40 on four targets.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Someone's going to have to maybe. OK, let's go to the games last night. Jamie, since you're such a good friend, I'm going to give you Tennessee-Miami. Break it down. Scene. It's ugly, man. I mean, look, it's tough for the Dolphins right now.
Starting point is 00:43:35 It's really, really tough. We knew Jalen Waddell would struggle. Tyreek Hill's been equally as bad in each of the two games without Tuatunga-Vailoa. It's difficult to still call him a must-start receiver. I know most people will just based on the upside, and Huntley missed him on a couple throws down the field, so hopefully they start to connect, and who knows who's going to be the quarterback. You know, maybe they go to Tim Boyle, maybe they go back to Skyler Thompson, but until Tua's back and healthy, which we hope is the case, it's difficult to say that the
Starting point is 00:44:03 Dolphins are going to be safe. Now, this should be a good game for Devon Achan. I really didn't love the matchup against Tennessee, and it played itself out that way. The one thing to keep an eye on is clearly Raheem Mostert, who was getting close to returning. If Mostert comes back, then it makes it even tougher to say Achan is clearly a safe start. Again, I think you're still starting him with four teams on a bye. So the way that I would sort of look at it from the Dolphins is Hill, low end number two receiver, Waddle, desperation play
Starting point is 00:44:31 at best. A-chan, still a number two running back. But if you have other options, basically with all these guys, you probably should look to see if you can replace them if possible. There were 180 passing yards in this game combined. And if we're going into our bye week here for Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins, Dave, are both of them droppable? Hopkins is definitely droppable. Ridley, I'd prefer not to drop because I think Will Levis will come back and he gives some upside to Calvin Ridley. He gives him some life, but I, I, if he's the worst player on your bench and you need to make a move,
Starting point is 00:45:08 move on, you're not going to get much in trade for Calvin Ridley. Unfortunately, really said one good game out of four and the other three were miserable. Horrible. And so I don't know if we'll love is coming back or we'll love us being there is the, is the answer for Ridley at this point.
Starting point is 00:45:23 It just, you said it, Adam, I think they're going to be a run-heavy team. Why not? Yeah, also, he can't beat good cornerbacks, and I didn't really know if Ramsey was going to shadow him. It didn't really matter because they barely threw the 21 times,
Starting point is 00:45:35 but Ramsey did shadow him, and last week Jair Alexander shadowed him. He just can't do it. He showed it last year and showing it so far this year. I don't know if it's his fault. I mean, for whatever that's worth, but if there's a good cornerback and they're going to shadow Calvin Ridley, like it's, it's over, he gets the Colts next when he comes back from by, that's pretty good, but all right, let's go to the better. He avoids good cornerbacks,
Starting point is 00:45:58 but there's still games down the line where he doesn't. So he's going to be like a boom bus flex uh let's let's go to a better game detroit 42 seattle 29 jared goff had one of the best games he was 18 of 18 that's the most attempts without an incompletion i think right in a game um and he also caught a touchdown so he had more touchdown catches than incomplete passes which is insane it was just a really good game for fantasy. I'm not going to lie. I was very hesitant to start Ken Walker. I did have to start him as a flex, and he came through with three touchdowns. But, Dave, what are your major takeaways from this game?
Starting point is 00:46:37 I think we're going to continue to target the Lions secondary in fantasy. That's a great matchup. So whenever the Lions are on the field, whoever's playing against them at quarterback, at receiver, get them in your lineup because I think the Lions are going to have a hard time, A, getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and B, stopping the pass downfield. So I love that for Seattle.
Starting point is 00:46:58 I wish the numbers were better for Metcalf, for JSN, for Lockett, but they weren't bad, all things being equal, especially since Geno Smith threw the ball 56 times. for Metcalf, for JSN, for Lockett, but they weren't bad, all things being equal, especially since Geno Smith threw the ball 56 times. I don't know if that's going to happen very often the rest of the way, but it was good to see while it did happen. I think you know who to start for the Lions. It's Gibbs. It's Montgomery.
Starting point is 00:47:17 It's Amon Ra. Goff is going to be a good start when the matchup's right. I don't know how you should feel about Sam Laporta. I think it was his best game of the year as far as PPR production goes. But just four targets, four catches, 53 yards. This is another team in Detroit that did not throw the ball a lot, golf 18 of 18, but they didn't obviously throw the ball very much in the game. They didn't have the ball more than Seattle did.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Seattle had for nearly 10 minutes more. So I think we'll take what we got from Laporta in week four and we'll continue starting him. He's worth holding on to through their bye. And that's the story with him. Got to look at him now as like a middle-to-low-end tight end instead of one of these top-tier tight ends. Second straight game with Jameer Gibbs, not going to target.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Yeah. Yeah. That was interesting too. But again, they only threw the ball 19 times and one of them was by a Monroe St. Brown. He did have a touchdown catch last week without a target on the hook and lateral, but yeah, I know it is weird.
Starting point is 00:48:20 And David Montgomery scores every game, but I, this was kind of a weird game because I have probably a very, uh, contra I don't know, controversial, but I know people aren't going to agree with it, but I was actually a little discouraged by Ken Walker. He's he's so good,
Starting point is 00:48:36 but it's, it's back to what we had last year because in week one, it really looked like Charbonnet was kind of not a big factor at all, but now he is like definitively he he's the two-minute drill back. Pretty sure he's the third down back. So Walker could be a little touchdown dependent. I hope they keep throwing him. He's so good in the passing game.
Starting point is 00:48:54 But that somersault weird play was like one of the craziest plays that you're going to see. But he had four catches. But again, Geno threw 56 passes. And like, I don't know. I mean, it's hard for anybody to come away discouraged from Ken Walker. But his role looks like it's going to be what it was last year.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Maybe. I mean, maybe. Look, it's also his first game back after a two-game absence. He had 16 total touches. 12 of them were carries. And they were chasing the entire game. And he played maybe the best run defense in football, and he had a huge game. So of them were carries and they were chasing the entire game. And he played at one that maybe the best run defense in football and he had a huge game.
Starting point is 00:49:29 So, I mean, it's all good stuff, but then like for anybody to be disappointed, I get your point, but for anybody disappointed about it, like that's crazy. Well,
Starting point is 00:49:35 I mean, I guess the way you would spin it is, would you sell high on Ken Walker, Adam? No, I would sell him for Bijan. If Bijan's healthy, I would sell him for Bijan.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Yeah. I don't know if I'm, I don't know about Bijan. Yeah, I don't know if I'm... I don't know about that now. Yeah, I mean, in a full PPR league, I would for sure, because Bijan is such a huge part of the passing game, and I don't really know that Walker is. Again, the four catches are great, but 56 pass attempts. And then that brings me to the other thing.
Starting point is 00:49:58 It's like, I have a lot of JSN. That's a guy I might try to sell, because he's only been good when Geno Smith has thrown 44 or more passes. Lockett's still too much of a factor to me. I don't know. How are you guys feeling about JSN? I'm very excited about the future.
Starting point is 00:50:16 He's an outstanding number three wide receiver. I wouldn't be selling. No? Yeah. I mean, if you're getting something better, I would give them up for something if i could turn jsn into brandon now you could be doing it right okay but you're not actively trying to trade smith and jayba and nor should you i just want to check uh make sure i'm not
Starting point is 00:50:38 talking out of my butt here the third down snaps no you have a handsome face charbonnet was seven of 10 on third down. Okay. And then the 60 40 split overall between Walker and Charbonnet. All right. That's it for those games. Uh, let's,
Starting point is 00:50:53 I guess, yeah. Drop a meter. Should we do the drop a meter? I mean, I think it's our duty as fantasy analysts. It's not that exciting today. Derek Carr,
Starting point is 00:51:03 zero to 10, 10, 10, Caleb Williams, 0-10. 10. 10. Caleb Williams, 0-10. 7. He's got Carolina this week, so you might need him as a bi-week replacement.
Starting point is 00:51:12 I will say 8. Keenan Allen, 0-10. 2. It's like a 6 in non-PPR and a 3 in full PPR. Roma Dunze, zero to ten. I don't want to drop Roma. Eight and an I don't want to drop.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Christian Watson, zero to ten. Ten. I want to stash him on IR. Well, let's say he doesn't go on IR. Then I'm not dropping. I don't want to drop him. He'd be like a three. Christian Watson
Starting point is 00:51:45 that's what you said right 3 Cole Komet 0 7 Mike Kosicki 10 Kyle Pitts 27
Starting point is 00:51:59 2 you should have never took him in the first place quarterbacks on waivers Gino Smith oh well in this order Justin Fields
Starting point is 00:52:12 Gino Smith Sam Darnold or Justin Fields Sam Darnold Gino Smith Field Smith Darnold for this week yeah that's the way
Starting point is 00:52:20 to put it for this week but if it's rest of season I'd put Darnold at the top Darnold also has a bye next week, so might not be able to carry that many quarterbacks. Yeah, I mean, Darnold has the Jets and a bye.
Starting point is 00:52:31 He has been unbelievable. He has not thrown more than 28 passes yet, and he scored 23.9 or more points in six-point leagues in three of four games. It's just incredible. He's got the lions after the buy. Yep. So even in the Rams and the Colts,
Starting point is 00:52:48 I can see him having a total stinker in week five and then coming off the buy and just ripping Detroit on like 24 bass. I mean, right now on paper, his four games after the buy are really good. Lions, Rams, Colts,
Starting point is 00:53:02 Jaguars. If you need a quarterback this week, are we going to get 20 fantasy points from Trevor Lawrence against the Colts? Three of four quarterbacks have scored 20 or more fantasy points including Caleb Williams and Justin Fields against the Colts. Are we going to get 20 fantasy points from Deshaun Watson at Washington
Starting point is 00:53:18 or Andy Dalton at the Bears? I'd go Lawrence first, Dalton second. I can't trust Watson after what I've seen. Lawrence, Watson, Dalton. Watson, by the way, has already faced the Jaguars. They are giving up the second most fantasy points to quarterbacks, and he scored 15.4 fantasy points with a rushing touchdown. The other three quarterbacks to face the Jaguars have had passer ratings of
Starting point is 00:53:46 101 or better. Granted they are to a Josh Allen and CJ Stroud, but Watson had a 78.8% 78.8 passer rating. So he's already had the second best matchup in fantasy. He's been terrible. Now he has the best one and we'll see if he can be okay. And then Dalton gets the bears who have been unbelievable against quarterbacks. Levis, Stroud, Richardson, and Stafford.
Starting point is 00:54:10 They are number one against quarterbacks. I mean, that's murderer's row. Well, Stroud scored 16 points. And they just, like, the Texans had a really bad game in Chicago. And that's where Dalton is. But Dalton is playing really well. I guess it wasn't a great game for him. But I thought he looked pretty good.
Starting point is 00:54:26 19.7 fantasy points against the Bengals. All right, and then there's Flacco. If Flacco's in, are you starting Flacco over Lawrence, Watson, Dalton? That's it. Yes. Yep. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:40 So as Dave said, you can pick up Flacco first, and then if Richardson's making good progress, you can pivot to one of the other guys. What about Kirk Cousins against the Bucs? What about him? Not interested? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:54 He's in the mix with these other guys, but that just shows you where he is. Running backs. Jonathan Brooks, Rico Dowdle, Cam Akers, if he gets another week. Chase Brown is available in 25% of leagues. Alexander Madison, Tajay Spears. These are the shallow league guys.
Starting point is 00:55:10 So the running backs to get are Kareem Hunt and or Clyde Edwards-Hilaire. Jamie put Justice Hill on here. Hard to predict when he's going to have a good game, but he could have a very good game. He's done that twice. I mean, two of four, he's been very good. Yeah. What were his final numbers against Buffalo?
Starting point is 00:55:29 Four carries for 18 yards, six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. Okay, so I remember he scored in that game. I didn't know how many catches and yards that he had through the air. That was a little surprising to me that he did that well in a game where the Ravens were in total control running the ball.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Usually I would lean toward Justice Hill in matchups where I think they're going to have to throw. And I thought that that would have been the case last week to a degree against Buffalo. And he said he came through. So I like Justice Hill as a PPR bi-week replacement running back. I mean, they might throw 15 times against the Bengals. That would be a lot for them. You could also run it 45 times. Yeah, no, I'm just saying. Buffalo also came into that game
Starting point is 00:56:11 really struggling with pass-catching running backs. Yeah, right. So it just played to what the matchup was. But their receiving core right now is clearly struggling. Yeah. Now I'm just frustrated with the... I mean, the Ravens are doing the right thing, but it's frustrating for fantasy purposes.
Starting point is 00:56:25 The Bengals, by the way, allowing the second fewest receiving yards per game to running backs. They faced New England, Kansas City, Washington, and Carolina. Trey Sermon. Where would he be ranked this week if Jonathan Taylor were out? 22, 23 in that range.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Maybe even a little bit higher than that because it's Jacksonville. And it's Jacksonville without their best run-stopping linebacker. Yeah. It's still not a guarantee he would get every snap. True. Because Tyler Goodson could also get some work. Yeah, but he'll play the running downs.
Starting point is 00:56:58 He'll work at the goal line. He's done that a little bit when Taylor's played. And you also have, he did it once. You also have the situation with is Richardson in or out? Because that changes, I think, how they operate from clearly everything. Tank Bigsby is probably
Starting point is 00:57:13 someone you want to take a look at here, 24%. Tyler Algier would be a huge play if Bijan were out. Bijan was listed as limited, right? Not DNP? Right. Limited, so he's probably going to play.
Starting point is 00:57:27 That's why I wouldn't be so hot to try it with Algier. Roshan, still worth a look. He did get the goal line work, and DeAndre Swift's only had one good game. Jalen Wright had almost as many carries as A-Chan. He had nine, but obviously Mostert could come back. A-Chan had 10 yesterday. Wilson got hurt in pregame warm-ups, though,
Starting point is 00:57:44 so if Mostert doesn't come back, he's now next man up if something happens to HN. We know Emmanuel Wilson's been good in his limited role. Ty Chandler's a potential lottery ticket. Antonio Gibson's had three catches in two straight games,
Starting point is 00:57:57 and Kendry Miller is eligible to come back, but he's at the very bottom of this list for a reason. You know, I still think... Oh, Julio McLaughlin's not on your list, but Dave likes him quite a bit. Dave, you want to...
Starting point is 00:58:10 Quite a bit's a stretch. Sorry. Comparison to the other running backs, I guess. Comparison to other running backs is kind of a stretch, too. Okay. I thought you had him third. I did, but I moved Justice Hill up. I added Algier. Okay. Mo did, but I moved Justice Hill up. I added Algier.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Okay. Moved Roshan up ahead of him. Moved Clyde up ahead of him. Okay. You know, I know Blake Corum has done absolutely nothing. He's a handcuff. Good handcuff. A good handcuff.
Starting point is 00:58:41 If he even is the handcuff, though. Could be Ronnie Rivers. Yeah, well, Rivers has been playing ahead of him, but I bet those two would play in tandem at minimum. You would hope. All right, wide receivers. Oh, someone's asking about Jeremy McNichols. It's not a bad call,
Starting point is 00:58:58 but that's assuming that Austin Eckler's out for another week, and hopefully he clears the concussion protocol. Yes. Jeremy McNichols. Right. Right. Yep. You know,
Starting point is 00:59:08 because of Jeremy. What? What? That was Eddie Vedder. Talking about Jeremy. That was not Eddie Vedder. It was 100% Eddie Vedder. I should call them.
Starting point is 00:59:17 I got them to do a draw. I said, Hey, can you do a Jeremy McNichols drop? Wide receivers. All right. The shallow league guys are Keenan Allen, Jacoby Myers,
Starting point is 00:59:23 Jerry Judy, Jordan Addison, Darnell Mooney, Cortland Sutton of that group. Jamie, who's the prize? Keenan Allen, Jacoby Myers, Jerry Judy, Jordan Addison, Darnell Mooney, Cortland Sutton. Of that group, Jamie, who's the prize? Keenan Allen, Jacoby Myers, Jerry Judy, Jordan Addison, Cortland Sutton, Darnell Mooney. Between Mooney, Judy, and Sutton, I guess you can lean Sutton,
Starting point is 00:59:40 who's had nine-plus targets in three or four games, but it's just so hard to say. Trust the quarterback who just threw for 60 yards. I know the weather and the matchup played a huge role in that, but Bo Nix has not exactly played great. So I'll stay Sutton begrudgingly. Is Addison not at the top because he's got the Jets and then is on by? Yeah, and look, he hasn't, because of how this offense is operated, hasn't just seen a huge amount of targets.
Starting point is 01:00:04 And so will that change? Will they change how they're operating? And then Hockinson's coming back. So how much of that is going to be a problem for him? Sure. I mean, as far as talent goes, he should be at the top, but there are some concerns. All right.
Starting point is 01:00:17 And he's got, does he have a bye coming up or no? I mean, at some point, yes. Oh, he has a no. So he has the Jets and then he has a buy. Right. So that's like not a really compelling case
Starting point is 01:00:29 to add Jordan Addison. Okay. So anyway, add Dontavian Wicks. You know what? I'm really sorry. This is a failure on my part. Have we even mentioned
Starting point is 01:00:38 Romeo Dobbs? We need to. There's a lot of other receivers. I mean, I haven't written up with Wicks. Look, Dobbs has just not been fantastic so far this year. But you go back to last year and you're kind of getting almost 10 PPR points per game in the games where even when you score touchdowns. So he's still third at best.
Starting point is 01:00:59 It's almost like Wicks just kind of replaces Christian Watson in number two in the pecking order. And then you now have the Tucker craft factor as well. So I don't think you should prioritize Dobbs, let's say ahead of the get or Robinson, and then you could put them even behind the Rams guys, you know, whichever one you like Whittington or, or, or Atwell. So he's not the most, he's not the most, most prioritized receiver you should be going after,
Starting point is 01:01:25 but he's certainly in conversation. I mean, there's an opening, and this offense does have the ability, as you alluded to, Adam, to put up a lot of points and a lot of production for its receivers. He's got the most routes run among Green Bay wide receivers this year, and he's fifth in target per route run rate at 16.4%. I think I would go Dobbs, Ligette. No, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:01:47 I would go Wicks, Ligette. Third, not third. Sorry. Wicks, Ligette, Dobbs, Wandale for me. I would put him ahead of Wandale. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. Okay. I mean, in a half PPR or non-PPR league, it's easy.
Starting point is 01:02:02 But in a full PPR league, Wanda does get a lot of catches, but the giants just can't score touchdowns. I think I'm just, there just aren't that many good offenses. So any chance I get to attach myself to a, to a great offense, potentially great offense, I'm going to take it.
Starting point is 01:02:16 So, you know, that's, that is what we may have here with the Packers. I don't know, maybe even with the, with the Panthers, with Andy,
Starting point is 01:02:23 great schedule for green Bay moving forward, too. Their next four games are pretty fantastic from a passing game standpoint. Yeah, I was going to say to buy high on Jordan Love tomorrow. I mean, you can't buy low, but he could be so good. All right, anywho, we also have, we've talked about Wandale, Liget, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Jamie favors Whittington, Dave favors Atwell. They get Green Bay Bay who have not really been very good against wide receivers this year. Um, you got Alan Lazard, Dave, you said there were other wide receivers to talk about Lazard downs, Mike Williams, Tyler Lockett. Who do you want to talk about? So Dobbs was going to highlight that list of other receivers to talk about. And a lot of the other names came out when we talked about the deep league, um, waiver wire ad. So I'll just run through the names. If there's anyone that stands out, tell me Dobbs.
Starting point is 01:03:10 We just talked about Whittington Tucker, uh, or Jordan Whittington, Trey Tucker. I'll throw in first names, Tyler Lockett, Alan Lazard, and Michael Williams with the jets. And I might prefer Williams long-term over Lazard. Um, Michael Wilson with the Cardinals. Jalen Tolbert. Jonathan Mingo. We're collecting Panthers receivers now. Demario Douglas.
Starting point is 01:03:30 Keon Coleman's only available in 34% of leagues. I could see his role growing. And Juju. Smith-Schuster. As opposed to other Jujus out there that you might confuse them with. I'd like to stash Tolbert and Juju, I think. See what happens there. I'd like the Chiefs to make a trade.
Starting point is 01:03:51 I'd love that. What are they giving up for Tyreek Hill? I don't think they're getting Tyreek Hill because the Dolphins are hoping to. It comes back. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns give up Amari Cooper. I wouldn't be surprised if the Titans give up DeAndre Hopkins and probably
Starting point is 01:04:06 hopkins they can get for next to nothing cooper would probably cost them a little bit just because the browns i'm sure still consider him to be a big piece of what they're trying to accomplish this season but it feels like both those guys could be you know available via trade all right guys uh let's go to tight ends here and see if you can get no joku ingram fryer muth hawkinson cole comet um but tucker craft so of those guys that i just mentioned if you were rostering comet no joku ingram or fryer muth would you drop any of them i know you said comet yes would you drop the other guys for tucker craft so that's the joke and ingram yeah uh, Najoku, Ingram, and Fryermuth. Yeah, because you don't know when those guys are playing.
Starting point is 01:04:49 And it's not like, you know, Najoku was great with Deshaun Watson last year. Is he going to be great with him this year? Probably not, especially with the way that Jerry Judy's playing. So I take my chances with Kraft, who now has an opportunity to improve without Christian Watson there. So, yeah. I might keep Najoku ahead of Kraft.
Starting point is 01:05:05 All right, Taysom Hill. If Taysom Hill plays, you know, you got to pick him up. He's 42% rostered. And then there's Cade Otten, back-to-back games with eight to nine targets and about 50 yards. Well, the other part of that, though, is, you know, Dave mentioned he's playing well lately, certainly this past game for Tampa Bay, they lost both Dylan.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Why am I screwing up his name? McMillan and and Trey Palmer both got hurt. OK, but they got Sterling Shepard, Jamie. Yeah, that OU connection. Boomer Sooner with Mayfield. And then there's Conklin at Minnesota and then Eric All. And you put you on Johnson here. Is that because of Taysom Hill's injury? Oh because they're playing the Chiefs
Starting point is 01:05:50 I think he's kind of taken over for Morrow kind of past him It's a deep league dart throw I believe he had a catch called back last week. Big being a relative term. Noah Gray four catches for 40 yards on four targets. We just got to see who steps up in Kansas City.
Starting point is 01:06:08 And that's what Andy Reid said. He's like, you know, we have a lot of guys. He didn't want to put it all on Xavier Worthy. It wouldn't be surprising if they used more just two tight end sets and keep Noah Gray involved. Okay, kickers and DSTs. The DSTs are the Vikings, the Broncos. Vikings get the Jets.
Starting point is 01:06:23 Broncos get the Raiders. The Seahawks against the Giants. The Buccaneers are at Atlanta. And the Raiders are at Denver. Kickers, Will Riker, Jason Myers, Chris Boswell, Austin Seibert, and Greg Joseph. And that is it for Fantasy Football today. We'll see you at noon Eastern on CBS Sports Network.
Starting point is 01:06:42 Thanks for watching. Everybody talk to you. We'll see you next time.
