This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
No, I can.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
And we're on to the semifinals.
Welcome everybody to fantasy football today, presented by BEDMGM.
Take it legendary.
Hope we had some excellent, dramatic wins, some late catches by Devon A. Chan or something like that.
Or Darren Walt, what the on earth? Dave? You look very different. You get a haircut?
Who's ready to go to Beyond the Box Corps? Ready to talk Bill Kroski Merritt?
Oh, yeah. Jacob. Jacob is so happy about Giacori Grossi Merritt that he is now coming on the Waver Wire show. What's up?
What's up, man? Yeah, I'm down here with Dave, down here in Florida.
to pull a little switcheroo on you oh cool all right hey who's who's your top waver wire priority
yeah yeah bill if you can get him uh probably kirk cousins if you need quarterback um i would love
juar jordan game if if he's in that would be fun um yeah i don't i'm excited to hear you guys
we're gonna we're gonna hit it later on beyond the box score too okay no before before you go i don't
even know how long you're saying minchu what are we thinking about minchu this week i i don't feel
great about it. Dave and I were talking about it too. Like the offensive line, I don't think
there's any reason for them to rush anybody back. We've seen the chiefs like when they don't
have much to play for it. They're kind of content packing it in a little bit. The matchups
obviously great, but like I would just rather go with cousins. There's a lot of different areas I'd
rather go. Okay. All right. Well, however long you want to stay on, you stay on. Today we're
going to talk about basically this week is all these quarterbacks. See you later, Jacob.
Thank you. These quarterbacks that we don't want to trust have really good
matches. I think that's kind of the theme here. So you've got Gardner Minchu, Tennessee is allowed
21.7 or more fantasy points to seven of the last eight quarterbacks they've faced. You've got
Bryce Young going up against Tampa Bay. Six straight quarterbacks have scored 21.3 or more
fantasy points against Tampa Bay. You got Tyler Shuck going up against the Jets who just fired
their defensive coordinator because their defense was so bad last week. You've got Kirk Cousins
at Arizona. Four of the last five quarterbacks to face Arizona have thrown third.
three touchdown passes and scored 23.1 or more fantasy points,
which not exactly the easiest competition,
but C.J. Stroud was in there.
And then you got J.J. McCarthy,
who's been really good for fantasy for two straight games,
and the Giants are 30th against quarterbacks.
So, wow, that's kind of the story here.
Good morning, Dave and Jamie.
Dave, you look normal now.
Thank you.
Sorry to downgrade the show.
And Jamie, what's up?
Good morning.
Good morning.
All right.
Let's get our top three waiver wire priorities for week 16, which I think the other storyline is all the running back injuries, although we think Woody Marks is going to be okay for this week.
Jamie, who are your top priorities?
Michael Carter would be one.
Colby Parkinson would be two, and Jaden Reed would be three.
Okay, Michael Carter's got Atlanta.
Kobe Parkinson is Thursday without Devante Adams, not officially, but Devante Adams has been termed week to week.
So, not going to play at Seattle.
and I'm sorry, who's the third one?
Jaden Reed.
Jaden Reed, right.
Jaden Reed at Chicago on Saturday.
I think would you say there's a chance
Christian Watson plays?
It sounds like there's a chance.
So just something to keep an eye on there.
But I think Reed has an opportunity
with Watson to still be a part of this offense.
Look, we're talking about, you know,
trying to find help at,
for me, I was just trying to find somebody
to every position.
So, you know, you can make a case
that Jacori-Crossi-Mirut may be better than Jane Reed
or, you know, finding a defense,
or another quarterback.
So I just looking at it as like no Devante Adams, no potential Christian Watson, like
Jayden Reed to me is the best receiver to go get.
All right, Dave, your top three priorities.
It's very much a get what you need type of week or a get what your opponent needs type of week.
I agree with Jamie on the first two.
Michael Carter is the number one guy to get just because running back positions thin.
Great schedule this week and next week, obviously with the Falcons and then Cincinnati after that.
and he should be the lead running back for Arizona.
We've got some numbers on that.
Parkinson, I've got some amazing numbers on him
why he could be like a good flex play this week.
Forget about just tight end.
Of course he's a great tight end.
But here, here's my favorite stat.
In the red zone since week 10,
he's had a 37.8% target share.
14 targets, 10 catches, 94 yards.
We don't care about red zone yardage.
Five touchdowns.
Half of his catches have been touchdowns.
He's run the second most red zone route since week 10 behind,
Devante Adams, who's not going to play.
And so that puts him really at the front of the line,
or maybe Puka moves to the front of the line,
and he's just right behind Puka as a big time target getter.
And we know that the Seahawks struggled against tight ends for most of this year.
So I think there's a huge opportunity for Colby Parkinson.
I'll pivot on the third name.
I'll still say Luther Burden is the best one you get.
I don't know if there's another wide receiver that's got as much upside who could help you this week.
And maybe he's stashable.
The Packers matchup isn't necessarily great.
He's got the 49ers after that.
That's a pretty decent matchup.
And if Oduenze is week to weekend isn't going to play, his playing time is only going to stay where it's at.
He's going to continue to see some good volume.
I would start DJ more ahead of, well, I'm not even ranking burden right now because he's day to day.
But it's going to be tough for me to keep DJ more ahead of Luther burden.
if Burden practices Wednesday, Thursday, looks like he's good to go.
Burden has been impressive.
And so he's going to be third for me knowing that if he ends up crapping out, not playing,
I can still go to the waiver wire and find a wide receiver that can get me in that neighborhood
of 10 PPR points.
Right, exactly.
You don't have a lot of competition on the waiver wire.
So if you want to take a chance on Luther Burden, who is day-to-day, whereas Romo Dunzee seems
like he's more week-to-week, they might shut him down for a bit to get that foot right.
you have a better chance of pivoting to somebody
because, you know, there's less competition for wide receivers on the waiver wire.
And Dave, I think you mentioned,
check your opponent's roster and see what your opponent needs.
Because even if you don't need someone, your opponent might,
and that could influence your waiver wire priority.
Just a question about Michael Carter here,
who had 14 carries for 56 yards and four catches for 38 yards at Houston.
We saw him in week five,
have 18 carries for 51 yards in a touchdown,
and five catches for 22 yards against Tennessee.
But he pretty much lost his job after that to Bam Knight.
And I've been so unimpressed with him.
But I understand the appeal.
My question is, though, Atlanta, is this really a good matchup?
If you look at how they've done lately, it really hasn't been that bad.
Bucky Irving was disappointing on Thursday.
Ken Walker had 10 carries for 29 yards.
I think Sharbonnet had a better game.
in the passing game, especially.
Breeze Hall, 19 carries, 68 yards, and a touchdown.
Just, I don't know.
It seems like maybe they're not, I was like, oh, he's facing Atlanta.
That's great.
Then I went and looked at how they've done, Jamie.
They haven't been like a sieve to running backs here, production.
It's not a layup.
You know, you're talking about the volume that Carter's going to get
and hopefully continued work in the passing game.
And so does that where, is that where maybe Di Mercado comes in,
now that he's got a week back of shaking off the rust?
So there should be some concern there, but he's not going to run well.
I mean, you're not talking about a guy that's going to go out there
and average, you know, four plus yards per carry or certainly anything above that.
You're talking about a guy that's hoping to get 15 to 20 total touches.
And hopefully of those 15 to 20 total touches, you know, four to five of them are catches.
So with how much Jacoby Resett throws the ball, what the potential game script could be.
It could be they're playing with the lead because that doesn't happen very often for Arizona,
but we know Atlanta's defense hasn't been great.
Could be that they're chasing points, which is typically what's happened for the majority of the nine games
that Jacoby Percett has played.
I think you're just hoping that he's, for me, better than Brees Hall and
Quinn Jodkins and Ken Walker and these guys that have really been struggling because he
gets this opportunity.
And so that's where I haven't ranked right now.
Okay.
Tony Pollard or Michael Carter?
Carter.
Carter.
Kobe Parkinson or Darren Waller against the Bengals?
Parkinson right now.
As of now, but they're both going to be top 12.
I think the only thing that scares me about Parkinson,
you know this has happened in the past where you get so frustrated.
You pick up the trendy tight end.
It's looking good.
Oh, it happened two days ago.
No, it's not that he has a bad game, not like likely.
It's that the other tight ends do something.
And they use three tight ends a lot.
You know, they use Ferguson.
They use Davis Allen.
Yeah, but they use Parkinson the most.
They really made a shift toward him.
He's not playing 100% of the snaps or anything close to that,
but he's their huggy bear at tight end.
then. I think the fact that you just saw a game that Adams left and everything was a season
high for him, targets, catches, yards, touchdowns, like everything spiked. And now you get this
fantastic matchup that he's already scored a touchdown in. Like there's a lot to love about the
situation. So yes, there is the comparison to Isaiah likely in that situation because it was likely
against the Bengals. Then two weeks later, he was terrible against the Bengals. But I'm just factoring
in the injury here and the fact that he's got a chance here to keep this touchdown street going.
and, you know, at minimum, give you what he did against the Seahawks the first time around.
So two catches, 12 yards, 14 yards, whatever was, scores, get in the end zone.
It's matchup, it's opportunity.
Everything's falling into his favor.
And if we can take a stroll down Narrative Street, it's a revenge game.
Former Seahawk.
Oh, you didn't pay me.
The Rams paid me.
Guess what?
He's going to park and sin in the end zone.
Yeah.
Twice.
So I just have to bring up that.
Jake Ferguson did lead them in lead all tight ends and routes run last week.
But that doesn't mean I'm getting away from Terrence Ferguson.
Yes, yeah.
Terrence Ferguson had 29.
I mean, it was very close.
He had 29 and Parkinson had 26.
Also, Parkinson was, I think he only had one target in the fourth quarter.
So he actually was getting plenty of targets even before the Adams injury.
All right.
So we've got Michael Carter, Kobe Parkinson, and then Jamie said Jaden Reed.
Dave said Luther Burden, even knowing that burden might not.
uh play this week but still give you some time he's got a chance and he's been really good uh the ffti
open if you won your matchup in week 15 that means you are on to the ffti open semi
finals against 23 other division winners so the 24 divisions have been decided jamie did you make
it i did yeah way to go because dan did not dan lost to someone named man on the can and uh chris towers
to someone named Hurricane Ditka 2.0.
So I think you're the only CBS representative.
I have one tough call right now.
There you got.
It's not really.
No, I should say it.
No, I don't have a tough call right now.
Because if Marvin Harrison is out, then I'm rolling with, I'm going to start Burrow again.
It's going to be Burrow, Jemir Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, Michael Wilson, Mike Evans.
Kyle Pitts, and Bucky Irving.
Boy, your week is so dependent on maybe if Harrison and if London play, because you have Pits.
I'm sure you're going to start Pits anyway, but it could be the difference between, you know, a good game and a great game.
Yeah, I can pivot to Colby Parkinson if I want.
Oh, wow, it's a Thursday matchup.
All right, a lot of good tight ends out there, by the way.
Someone asked, would you start Kobe Parkinson over Harold Fanon Jr.?
against Buffalo.
I would.
Yeah, I'd be tempted to.
Yeah, I mean, unfortunately,
Fanon has such a bad matchup.
I think only one tight end
is more than five targets against Buffalo,
but look at this target volume for Fanon,
you know, you've got to figure he's probably
going to eclipse that.

Okay, news and notes real quick.
Joe Burrow is going to start for the rest of the season.
He's at Miami.
We think can bounce back for Burrow?
Oh, yes.
Javante Williams heard his chest
but I hope he's fine
he obviously came back in
Woody Marks
would you say Woody Marks expected
to play this week
or we expected?
Has it now.
Yes.
RJ,
I still haven't seen anything
on RJ Harvey.
I have.
What do you got?
There was a report
from Mike Cliss of
nine news in Denver.
He's been a long time
Broncos beat reporter.
He expressed concern
for other Broncos injuries
but not Harvey.
However, the team did sign
Cody Schrader, shout out
Missou, to their
practice squad. So that could be a sign
that maybe they're preparing in case
Harvey doesn't practice this week.
So I think we would have heard
that he's totally fine. If we had heard that,
we'd rank him and all that stuff. We haven't heard
that yet. So it could
come down to a game time decision.
Bejel Tootin, you can drop.
He's going to miss a little bit of time with a finger
injury, Devin Neal hamstring
injury, and Bam Knight is going to be
out with an ankle injury.
Christian Watson does not have a serious chest injury
He has a chance to play
I already mentioned some of this
but Romo Dunsday could miss more time
with his foot injury
but Luther Burden has a chance to play
with the ankle injury
Drake London they're calling him day to day
You got Tyquan Thornton in the concussion protocol
You got Ricky Pearsall
I don't feel like Pearsall is going to play this week
to you guys
Not based on what he said now
Yeah
You've got let's see
Devon Valet with a shoulder injury
and Devante Adams week to week
with the hamstring injury.
And I don't know if there are any
offensive line.
You got Laramie Tunsell for Washington,
their left tackle.
It's just Mario-O-Doha.
It's probably could be a tough week for him
against Philadelphia.
Christian Darrasaw's week-to-week.
That's Minnesota's left tackle.
Seattle, oh, this is one.
Seattle left tackle Charles Cross.
He got hurt at the very end of the game
and he's questionable for Thursday's game
against the Rams.
So if you have Sam Darnold, you're nervous about him.
It's just another reason to be nervous about him.
Kansas City's offensive line is beat up.
You mentioned that.
All right.
I'll leave it at that.
Steeler's center left again last night.
Their center or their guard?
I thought it was Samo.
I was sorry, guard.
I was Sumalo.
Amalo left last night.
Yeah.
There's a lot of offensive line.
I didn't want to go through all of them, but thank you.
Anything that you feel like is relevant, feel free to bring up.
And I'll skip the defensive stuff.
All right.
Let's take a break.
And we've got your top three.
We're not going to do Fab Talk today.
Oh, and by the way, if you've advanced in the FFT Open, you don't have to worry about FAB.
You're alone in your division.
You can pick up whoever you want, whenever you want.
So how does it work now?
It's the highest score, highest six scores, advanced, highest four scores, man.
The highest eight scores advance to the FFT Open finals in week 17.
And I will do my best on Sunday to give updates because you won't be able to see the other scores.
And the highest score from week 17 wins?
Correct.
Wow.
Yeah, man.
So you got a chance.
That would be so cool if you won.
I mean, not for the other people, but good luck.
I'll be right back.
Thank you.
And I'm playing Johnny Airport in one of the leftover leagues.
Hey, good luck.
He's the one seat, so it's going to be tough.
Oh, he knows his stuff.
Can you imagine that I didn't finish as the best team in this league with JSN and Jamar Chase?
Wow.
That's Johnny Airport must have quite a team.
He does.
Okay, we'll be right back with top three at each position after this.

Okay, welcome back, everybody.
Let's get our top three at each position.
As I mentioned, it's quarterbacks you don't want to trust
with great matchups for 100, Alex, right?
Is it not?
I mean, Jamie, it's a lot of them, a lot of them.
There is legitimately five quarterbacks
that if you were to tell me they all finished in the top 12,
I would not be surprised.
And if you tell me they all finished outside the top 24,
I would not be surprised.
Who are they?
And in what order?
So for me, the order is Gardner Mintchew 1.
two is Bryce Young
three is Tyler Shuck
four is Kirk Cousins
and five is J.J. McCarthy.
What about the guys
last night? What about Tua and Rogers?
Two has got the Bengals, Rogers has the Lions.
They're certainly in the conversation.
I do not want to trust Tua Vaila at all.
I know last night he played
he got you some good fantasy points.
He just does not look good throwing the football right now
and I'm sure they're still going to want to try to run the ball.
And in the case of Rogers,
I mean,
This could get ugly in Detroit because Detroit coming off a loss and back in their building,
he could be chasing points, but I'd rather have all these guys.
So right after them in my rankings is Rogers and two is behind Rogers.
But I think all these guys with their matchups are just in a better spot.
Yeah, I already read it off earlier.
So it's Kansas City.
Minchu's at Tennessee.
Bryce Young has the jet.
Wait, no, he's the Bucks.
Bryce Young has Tampa Bay.
And Shuck has the Jets, yeah.
Shuck has the Jets.
Cousins has the Cardinals
and McCarthy has the Giants.
Dave, you know, what do you think about that list?
What's your order?
Yeah, my order is different.
I've got J.J. McCarthy at the top.
26 fantasy points each of his last two games.
The Giants have allowed at least 21 fantasy points
to seven of the past nine quarterbacks.
I just think that this is the quarterback who has the most upside of all the guys
that are on the waiver wire.
And he's out there in two-thirds of leagues.
if I had Mahomes and McCarthy's on the waiver where he's who I'm adding and he's who I'm starting in the fantasy playoffs.
It sounds back asswords, but he's really played well without getting great numbers from Justin Jefferson, and that's telling.
And so I would lean into that.
I think he's got the most upside and the same type of floor.
Jamie said, I wouldn't be surprised of any of these guys finished top 12.
I'd be surprised of none of them finished top 20, but McCarthy's one with the most upside, safest floor.
They all kind of have similar floors.
I can't say safe floor.
Tyler Shuck is next up against the Jets.
I thought the Jets sunk last week against Jacksonville.
Shuck has been around 20 fantasy points.
Pretty much every single start he's had.
His run game is a humongous question mark.
His offensive line, at least that's decent.
That's a strike against McCarthy.
You mentioned Darrasaw's week to week.
But Shuck would be second for me and Cousins would be third.
That great matchup and he might get Drake London back.
the only worry I would have about Shuck that I don't quite have, or I'm sorry, the worry that I have about cousins that I don't quite have with McCarthy and Shuck is that cousins could end up handing off a lot.
This could be a game where Bijan and Algier just kind of take over and they pummel the Cardinals on the ground.
That would leave light stats for cousins, but he could still get you 16.
So we could say the floor for him is 16.
The floor for Shuck is 19.
The floor for McCarthy is negative 2, but the ceiling.
his highest for McCarthy because he's done it
each of the last two weeks. And I don't think
the Giants are going to stymie him.
I don't think their defense. So my
fear for both cousins and McCarthy is
the run games taking over because the two
teams that they're facing cannot stop the run.
And McCarthy has only
thrown, I think, 25 or 26 passes
in each of his last two games. He's put up big
numbers. Boy, he's put up touchdowns.
Yeah, it's just, it's not something you want to bank on
necessarily, but there's pros and cons to all of them.
And maybe the other angle here is
which quarterbacks are you sitting
this week? Are you sitting
Dak Prescott against the Chargers?
Not for that.
I don't like the matchup,
but I wouldn't start him for any of these,
or sit him for any of these guys.
Are you sitting
Jordan Love at Chicago?
Caleb Williams?
No, not for those guys.
I can be talked into sitting love.
How about, oh, Trevor Lawrence at Denver.
I could definitely be talked into sitting
he's just ahead of those guys for me.
Again, I think,
I think it's huge upside, huge downside.
You know, so it depends on how risky you want to be with your fantasy roster.
Like to sit a guy that's been as hot as Trevor Lawrence is tough.
Yeah.
He's really, he's really had amazing matchups, though.
And this was a fun topic we talked about on Beyond the Box Square yesterday.
I mean, Jordan Love was playing great football,
and then he went to Denver and had a pretty bad fantasy game.
So, but I didn't mention this defensive injury.
The Broncos put one of their starting safeties on IR, so that could affect them.
All right, those are your quarterbacks, whether it's Minchu or Young or Shuck or Cousins or McCarthy,
if you're feeling risky with Tua or Rogers.
The thing I like about Rogers is they don't throw the ball, but I looked at their game log.
And in a game like this, I think you should expect at least 30, maybe up to 35 past attempts for Rogers,
based on similar game scripts, assuming the Lions score on them.
So a lot of options if you're desperate.
And I wouldn't even say desperate if you're needy.
Dave, who are your top three running backs?
Carter is the top running back.
That's pretty easy.
We've talked a lot about him
and the opportunity that he's got this week.
There's a big gap after that.
I don't love the matchup for Kroski Merritt,
and I'm worried about how much work he'll get
versus the Eagles, especially if they're trailing.
I took a look at it earlier today,
39% snapshot and 33 total carries
for 3.5 yards in the second half of games
when the commanders are down by two scores or more.
So quite a qualifier, quite a mouthful,
It definitely tells you that Kroski Merritt, if the chips are down and the commanders are trailing against Philadelphia, that he might not get many opportunities.
And so if you're starting him, you're hoping that he can get off to a hot start.
I don't really like Audric Estime, but he might have a great opportunity for the Saints, lead that backfield.
He's got the kind of speed that makes Green Hunt look like CJ2K.
And Devin Neal, Devin Neal has to be out.
I did like how he had a couple of design screens last week.
And, I mean, he literally was off the practice squad, onto the field for the Saints, and they had stuff designed for him.
And so that was at least mildly encouraging.
Those would be my top three.
And I'm not even sure if I would put Crossley merit ahead of estimate just because I'm worried about game script for him.
The Jets have allowed 23 touchdowns to running backs, 15 rushing, eight receiving.
Estimate versus Hull.
They had about the same amount of carries.
estimate was the third downback
after Devin Neal left with the injury.
You just wonder who they're going to use.
That's the question.
Yeah.
All right, Jamie, top three wide receivers.
So I put Jane Reed ahead of Luther Byrton
just because of Burden's injury.
So if we were to find out that Burden plays,
then Burden would be the better than two.
So I agree with Dave on that.
But as of now, we weren't ranking Luther Burden.
The fact that he's day-to-day,
fact that there's a game on Saturday.
You've got to be a little bit concerned there.
So if you want to not a guy that's top three,
but keep an eye on Alameda Zakias.
He's had four games this season with at least six targets.
And in those four games, he's averaging 12.6 ppr points.
So that's a good number three receiver if he's going to get those opportunities.
And he did score against the Packers two weeks ago.
Didn't have a lot of touches, but a lot of targets, but something to keep an eye on there.
But I have read one, burden two, and three, I believe is Jalen Coker.
Great matchup against Tampa Bay.
and coming off back-to-back games where he scored a touchdown.
So 14 PPR points in each of his last two outings.
And I do think that this could be a game where they have to throw a little bit,
especially if Tampa Bay's offense shows up.
So don't think that Coker is a bad number three receiver for this week.
Yeah, you also have added I Mitchell on there.
And, you know, typically it's one of those weeks
where there are some good wide receiver options,
but we know that they can always disappoint.
Tight end. Dave, who are the top tight ends?
Colby is number one,
79% available,
all kinds of great metrics
that suggest that he's a touchdown monster
for the Rams,
although you could just look at his box score,
and you'd know that he's a touchdown monster for the Rams.
Colson Loveland doesn't quite make the cut.
He's 34% available,
but he's really close to being a great tight end ad
and a good flex if you're a little thin
at wide receiver in a PPR league.
Look for both of those tight ends.
I've got Brenton Strange third.
I know that it's kind of gross.
His numbers haven't been good the last couple of weeks.
But I just wonder if this is going to be the type of game where Trevor Lawrence isn't going to feel comfortable throwing deep, isn't going to be able to hold on the ball for a while, needs to check down, needs to throw short.
And that would be where Strange could get five catches, 50 yards, maybe find the end zone.
It's a tough call between him and Theo Johnson.
You can even throw Rhonda Gadsden in there.
He makes the cut.
He's 37% available.
I'm not in love or committed to any of those three tight ends.
In fact, Strange and Theo Johnson, they don't even make the cut for us, the 35.
percent qualifier. They're available in fewer of those leagues. So maybe Gadsden by default
should be second. But the bottom line is that once you get past Parkinson and Loveland,
it ain't great at tight end. All right. To look at tight end, you know, first of all, if you have
Tyler Warren, we're moving on. I would start Parkinson. I'm up. I'm going to drop him for a couple
guys. Um, Harold Fanon Jr. How many, and let's throw Darren and let's throw Kyle Pitts in
there, right? Let's say they're available.
We'd like them over Fanon?
Yeah.
And how do you rank Waller, Farrant?
Waller, Pitts, Parkinson.
Pitts, Parkinson, Waller right now.
I agree.
If you go into Thursday and you know Drake London is playing,
do you move Parkinson ahead of Pitts?
No.
Maybe.
Definitely a non-PPR.
Probably not in half and full.
Slightly off topic, but if two wide receivers come back this week,
I'm hopeful that the replacements we've been riding
can do better than what they did before the injuries.
That would be Pitts.
Like, he can have a good game and a great matchup.
And Michael Wilson, in the same game.
I feel like he's earned it.
But I don't know.
It's, I mean, it is such a weak changer.
You know, who's going to win the matchup?
Who's, you know, for the Michael Wilson manager,
are you getting this wide receiver one game
or are you getting maybe eight points
because Marvin Harrison Jr. is back,
but I'm thinking maybe it'll be more of an even target share
between the two receivers.
I don't think there's been a player
where I've been, like, more excited about it
if Michael Wilson starts, then, like, it's just, it's crazy.
I know.
I mean, he's, he's to be ahead of Rishie Rice.
he'd be ahead of George Pickens, I assume, at this point.
Oh, yes.
I mean, he's amazing.
So, Jamie, give me a DST to stream this week.
Yeah, we said to pick this defense up last week
because of this upcoming matchup, but it's the Saints, you know, taking on the Jets.
Based on the defenses that are available, it's just such a great opportunity,
such a great matchup.
Brady Cook did not look great last week, as we're well aware.
We'll see if he starts again.
But even if it's Terad Taylor or Justin Fields, this offense is struggling.
I'd be much more encouraged by the Saints if it is a Brady Cook,
but still I'd be starting them as a low-end option.
They have top five upside, you know.
So great opportunity for the Saints.
The Vikings defense, I think, will make things comfortable for Jackson Dart.
So not the best scenario, but I think the Vikings are still in play.
And then I think the Lions will get after Aaron Rogers in their building.
So again, looking at the defense that are available, they're not my favorite.
But the Saints are the only one that's a guaranteed starter.
Yeah.
Last week was such an exciting week for DSTs.
This week, not so much, right?
In terms of the ones that are available.
Now, you may see, you know, a defense that was available that you didn't pick up last week that could be out there.
Like the Chiefs or the Bills, you know, their matchups this week are very good, clearly, you know, taking on the Chiefs, taking on the Titans and the Bills taking on the Browns.
So those are two that I like a lot that may still be out there.
But, you know, and still the 49ers, too.
I know they didn't play well against the Titans, but I don't think the Colts offense is going to put up much of a fight unless Jonathan Taylor goes crazy, which you could.
I mean, Tony Powell just ran for 100 yards against that 49ers defense.
But, I mean, Philip Rivers is not going to make a lot of plays down the field.
So hopefully Robert Sala comes up with a good play.
Good plan.
Yeah, I said those were the three I was going to ask you about.
The Chiefs, the Niners.
The thing about the Chiefs are facing the Titans, the Titans have been really bad for the DSTs the last two weeks.
Titans have been so bad against DSTs all year.
And then the last two weeks, the Brown's awful.
The 49ers awful.
We feel confident starting the Chiefs.
We just start the Chiefs or the Saints?
Chiefs are at Tennessee, Saints have the Jets at home.
Still the Chiefs.
Dave?
Still the Chiefs.
How about the Bills at Cleveland or the Saints?
Bills.
Bills, I believe, are in my top five.
So bills would be my preferred one.
And then the Niners at the Colts or the Saints.
I believe I have the Saints ahead of the Niners.
Me too.
Now, that will change if Tarad plays.
Right.
Right.
So today's Tuesday.
Apparently the Jets will have a quarterback decision.
made by Wednesday.
All right.
So that, let's see, anything we're missing here?
I don't think so.
Just we'll recap in a second.
Canada can be a global leader in reducing the harm caused by smoking,
but it requires actionable steps.
Now is the time to modernize Canadian laws
so that adult smokers have information and access to better alternatives.
By doing so, we can create lasting change.
If you don't smoke, don't start.
If you smoke, quit.
If you don't quit, change.
Visit unsmoke.ca.
Jamie, how about kickers?
So, again, keep an eye on some of the ones that are available.
I went just based on matchups and in the case of the first two, for sure, weather.
So no concerns with Pinheiro taking on the Colts.
He's been great for the majority of the time.
He's been with the 49ers.
Zane Gonzalez, what a great matchup against the Cardinals.
They're one of the best teams in terms of the most fantasy points.
I believe they're number two.
And then Boragallis, taking on Baltimore,
they give up a lot of fantasy points to kickers also.
So weather could be an issue there,
but that could also be a field goal game.
I haven't done a full weather check,
but I believe this weekend is going to be significantly warmer
than last weekend.
I think we're going to be in much better shape with weather.
Like in New York, I tell you, in the Northeast,
it seems like it's actually going to be kind of a nice weekend in the 40s maybe,
whereas it felt like it was 12 degrees or something, you know, over the weekends.
I think we're going to be in a better spot with weather this week.
To recap, top three quarterback, well, the top five quarterbacks were Minchew at Tennessee,
Bryce Young against Tampa Bay, Tyler Shuck against the Jets,
Kirk Cousins at Arizona, and J.J. McCarthy at the Giants.
But Dave's order was very different, and you could really order them almost any way you want.
The top running backs, Michael Carter against Atlanta, Jacori Kroski, Merritt,
against Philadelphia.
Audrick Estime against the Jets.
That was Dave's top three.
Jamie's top three wide receivers would have been Luther Burden, if available.
Jaden Reed, or not if available, but if he plays.
Jaden Reed at Chicago and Jalen Coker against Tampa Bay.
And the tight ends, Colby Parkinson at Seattle, Colston Loveland at Green Bay.
He's 66% roster, but we'll count him.
And Brenton Strange.
For Jamie, he has Parkinson won.
He didn't put Loveland on the list just because he's 66%.
A Gadsden, two, Theo Johnson, three.
So really the price is Parkinson's.
In the case of Loveland, if you're going to go that route, Dalton Schultz is the same roster percentage, a 66%.
So both those guys should be picked up for sure.
Darren Waller's just a little bit ahead of them.
He should be picked up for sure.
Kyle Pitts is still available.
I saw him in a 10-team league on the waiver wire.
Pick him up for sure.
Again, just keep it on a Drake London situation.
And in the case of Gadsden, in the two games that Quentin Johnson has,
missed have been two of his best
game so far this season. The first one was the Miami
game, which was his breakout game. And then
this past week's game, he's facing a
Dallas defense that in three of the last four
games, they've allowed a tight end to score
11.1 p.pr points or more. So
it's not a bad spot for him, especially if Johnson's
out taking on that secondary. So let me
ask you about Schultz, because he has this
huge game. It catches 76 yards and a
touchdown against Arizona.
And you look at his game log and it's
terrible against Buffalo, really
good at Indianapolis, terrible
against Kansas City, even better, you know, amazing against Arizona, and it's pretty obvious.
Good matchup, start Schultz. Bad matchup, don't start Schultz. The Raiders were just torn apart
by Dallas Goddard, six catches, 70 yards, two touchdowns. However, before that, this has been
a strength of the Raiders. They're fourth best against tight ends. So, Dave, how are we feeling
about Dalton Schultz this week? Like them, don't love them. Let's call them a top 10 tight end,
especially in full PPR, who has a pretty safe floor of around 10 PPR points.
I think when you look at the, there's, if you want to say there's no Drake London,
and depending on how you feel about Kelsey and Bowers at this point, to me there's three,
assume that there's no one, there's three easy tight ends.
It's Big Bride, it's Kittle and Pits.
Then you get, I'm going to still put in the top five Kelsey and Bauer.
So Kelsey's four for me, Bauer is five.
And we may get the Kelsey, let's just feed him over and over and over against another reason why I like Minchu.
You know, not many home games left for the Chiefs.
This might be one of their last.
The grand finale to the career finish.
Yeah.
So we may get a big, a big Kelsey, you know, swan song here.
They're on the road.
They're on the road.
I'm sorry, they're on the road.
But end of career, excuse me.
End of career stretch for him.
The next group of tight ends is.
it's almost like these quarterbacks that we're talking about.
Like you have Waller, great matchup coming off big game.
You have Parkinson, great matchup coming off big game.
You have Goddard, who's been hot the last couple of weeks and has a great matchup.
I think Schultz is at the tail end of that group, but he's in the conversation.
I feel much better about him than Joanne Johnson right now, than Brent Strange right now,
then Kincaid.
Then Fanon, you know, all these guys.
But that whole group, there's like 15 or 16 tight ends that.
You can make a strong case for either way.
But just Schultz, five of his last seven games, 11.1 ppr points or more.
Like you said, Goddard just took apart this defense.
I don't know how much of it is just teams didn't throw against them, tight end-in-wise.
I know they played well against a couple of good guys.
But I just feel like C.J. Stroud and Schultz are locked in right now.
Yeah, well, Joanne Johnson, though, I mean, with Vailet missing,
he didn't really get a bump last week when Vailet got hurt.
But I just wonder if you change your mind at all on Joanne Johnson with Vailet dealing with an injury.
You definitely go back to Jawan Johnson.
However, we just saw Trevor Lawrence have a monster game with Brent and Strange doing nothing against Jets.
So it's not like it's going to be, and Strange had been one of their key pieces offensively
with the amount that Trevor Lawrence had been throwing.
I still think like Johnson's good.
I just don't know if he's better than some of those other guys.
Okay.
All right, let's take a break.
And we'll talk about the shallow leagues and the deep leagues when we come back on fantasy football today.
Be on high alert.
We've got a league.
because Sun Wings Black Friday deals launched early.
Huge vacation savings on the Dominican Republic are out there,
but only until November 23rd.
Wasn't an accident?
Wasn't the work of a cunning vacation genius?
Either way, we're in it now.
To lock in these prices before we find the leak and shut it all down,
contact your local travel advisor or visit.
And welcome back.
All right, so the shallow leaguers.
Who are the headliners?
I guess Jacoby Brissette and Kyle Pitts come to mind, Jamie.
I mean, layups.
Go get them.
Who else would you think might be available in 10 team leagues or something?
Those two in particular, Brissette and Pitts are two top three players for me
at their respective positions for this week.
So just a great setup for both of them.
And hopefully they continue to produce.
Obviously, Pitts is tied to Drake London.
But there are some other guys, C.J. Stroud, another one.
You know, if you're looking for quarterbacks, you know, the guys that we listed, I think I'd rather have Stroud than all of them just based on his matchup and what he did last week.
Running back-wise, it's not great, but Gainwell would be the prize there.
I know he was great for you.
I mean, at this point, you've got to treat Gainwell.
I know there was some questions going into last week's game, but Gainmell's got to be considered the best Steelers running back rest of season and certainly for this week's game against the Lions.
But Ramandre Stevenson, we talked about the Sunday, could be a flex.
Tyrone Tracy, is somebody that you should be starting.
Do you want to trust Tony Pollard?
Wait, do you like Tracy or Gainwell better?
I like Gainwell better.
Wow.
But Tracy has got a good opportunity.
It's just such a, the Minnesota run defense is so Jekyll and Hyde.
I think you can start him, but I think the opportunity for Gainwell with his role in
the passing game is a little bit safer, especially in a game where they're probably chasing
points.
Tony Pollard, if you want to trust him against San Francisco, back-to-back, 100-yard games.
I do think this could be an interesting game for Tyler Algier
because you're looking at an Arizona defense
that's really been bad against running backs
and you know he's going to get work.
And so this is a game that they could still win.
I think they have easy opportunity to play with the lead for sure.
And so he could be a good flex this week.
And then Blake Quorum with the four touchdowns
in the last three weeks, easy to look at him there.
Wide receiver, there's not a lot of guys.
But in the case of,
Troy Franklin, as long as there's no Pat Bryant, you know, he looked great last week against Green Bay.
We're going to find out what the Packers decided to do with out Christian Watson there,
but Romeo Dobbs in the first six games of the season was averaging 13.1 ppr points per game until Watson showed up.
Watson shows up. He's been miserable. So if no Watson, maybe he's the guy that benefits the most more so than Reed or Matthew Golden.
And then Jaden Higgins, look, if you want to trust him, I know he had a bad game last week,
one catch four yards, but this Raider secondary is miserable, and Higgins prior to last week was
still very good.
And then the tight ends are really just easy.
Pitts still at 81%, Waller, 72% Schultz and Loveland, 66% each.
Those two, those four guys can easily be top 10 tight ends for this week.
And in the case of Pitts could be top three once again.
You like Loveland?
I know you like Pitts better.
You like Loveland or Waller?
Right now I have Waller ahead of Loveland just with, again, the opportunity to face the bank.
Like it was, so I write that just for, you know, anybody that has not been paying attention.
I write the story Monday afternoon and, you know, it's usually up by about four or five o'clock.
And so whenever I have a Monday night player in there, I'm like, check back after the game is done and this will be updated.
And I was a little hesitant about, you know, Waller's been so non-existent for the last two weeks.
Like, if he does do anything, can we still recommend him even though Cincinnati, especially after what happened with the Ravenstead ends?
And it was like, okay, he scored the first touchdown.
Then he scored second touchdown.
And then you just saw, you know, how the game unfolded for them.
And you figure, okay, this game could be a track meet between the Bengals and the Dolphins, you know, if the Bengals offense shows up, which I think it will.
So Waller, you know, went from where I initially had him ranked like 14, 15 to, you know, inside the top 10 and easy guy to recommend.
And the same thing with Gamow.
Like, it was check back after the game, but Game Will should be good against the Lions just based on how game script could go.
He looks awesome.
He looks absolutely fantastic.
Like, I don't know how much of it was worn.
I know we'll talk about the game.
But how much Warren was, you know, dealing with illness and not 100%.
Like, I'm sure for you, I know you had that decision of Gamewell versus Warren.
Is that what put you up the top?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So Gamewell, you know, four of his last five games over 16 PPR points.
He just looks dialed in right now.
Yeah, it was kind of a fun.
I'll tell the quick story when we get to that game.
Funny story of how I ended up with Warren, with Gainwell over Warren, which was the
difference between winning and losing.
By the way, I'm glad, Jamie, that you didn't just decide after the end of the third
quarter to just finish your waiver wire column because at that point, Darren
Waller had one catch for eight yards on two
targets. Yeah. And then he ends up
with what seven catches, 66 yards,
two touchdowns by the end of the game.
Okay, let's, Dave,
I picked up Darren Waller in week three.
None of these guys are available in my league,
deep leaguers.
So let's call it the Carter too
because Michael Carter, 86% available.
We've talked about him a lot. Should be the lead back for Arizona.
Go go get him if you need a running back.
he's the best one you can get after that that's a little bit about audric estimate he's available
in a bazillion league's julelea mclaughlin in case r j harvey's out maybe if you've got r j harvey
you put a little bit more of an emphasis on getting jule mclaughlin on your bench uh after
that it's it's it's it's weak it's joward jordan just in case that woody marks doesn't
play who by the way jordan looked pretty impressive as the main back for houston i wonder if he
gets an opportunity at being like the one b back even if woody mark
Marks plays. It kind of stinks for Woody Marks. We want him to be the feature guy. But
Jawar, Jordan, in major desperate situations. Same thing with Keaton Mitchell, Jeremy McNichols,
Isaiah Davis would absolutely want to have Isaiah Davis on my bench if I was counting on
Brees Hall for anything. A quarterback talked a lot about a bunch of names there. The deepest of
leagues, we're talking about 80% more. It's Minshu and then it's gross. It's Ward. It's
Philip Rivers. Brady Cook, Kenny Pickett. Don't start Kenny Pickett. It's bad to even suggest
picking them up in any league. So I'll
I'll take the blame for that.
Wide receiver, we talked about Jalen Coker and the huge opportunity he could have.
I wish he had more targets, you know, just four targets last week.
I wish that there were more than that.
He's the one receiver that's available in a ton of leagues, but there are so many others
that are available in 60 percent or 50 percent, 70 percent.
Guys that we haven't talked about yet, like Adnan, I, Mitchell, Parker, Washington,
Darius Slayton, Matthew Golden.
They're going to be out there on a bunch of waiver wires, too.
Not that you want to start them, but you might want to stash them just in case you
something in week 16 and calamity hit your receiving core before week 17. And then tight end,
Parkinson, 79% available. Really the only tight end I feel good about as far as those deep
leagues go. All right. Excellent. Well, last night's game was so unbelievably boring. 28 to 15 Pittsburgh
wins. They basically just took the air out of the ball and ran all over Miami. Miami's defense
held in there for a little while, but just couldn't keep it going in the second half. So,
You have this really weird 20-point fantasy game from Tua.
Just felt like a horrible game that he played.
They ended up with decent numbers.
Yeah.
There's not much to say here about that, except Waddle.
You know, one thing that I think is comforting for Waddle,
it was a 14.5% target share or something like that.
He's usually, he had been up 30% or higher four straight games.
So, you know, start or sit Waddle.
we know the Bengals are good against number one receivers,
but hopefully there's more pass attempts for Tua.
Jamie Starrisett Waddle in week 16.
He's still a number two receiver.
I think for me he's been ranked as a low end number one receiver,
high in number two.
So he's closer to 20 than he is the last several weeks
where he's been around 11 to 14 in that range.
Like if you have a Cortland Sutton, for example,
you're starting him over him.
If you've been debating Michael Wilson for whatever reason,
you're certainly starting Wilson over him.
You just have to hope that we,
get bengal's offense shows up and dolphins maybe in a similar situation like we saw last night
where they're they're throwing the ball a little bit more and that benefits waddle but yes you know
DJ Turner's been great I'd imagine he's going to see a lot of DJ Turner I just think in a
better weather weather weather you brought this up that you know Tua and cold weather is do we have a
wattle concern and you were right about that you know just because we didn't see a lot of opportunities
for him and and one of Tua's poor passes the first interception was you know
just an absolute duck fart that, you know, shouldn't have been thrown, bad route concept,
bad play design across the board, and Tua should not have made that attempt.
So I have Waddle in a couple of leagues.
I'm still going to start him, but it's not with the idea that he's going to be a league winner.
It's hopefully what we got from him in the, I believe it was the Saints game.
Waddle in the Saints game.
Oh, the Jets game, excuse me.
It was a Jets game.
Five catches, 50 yards, and a touchdown.
down on seven.
Yeah, like, that's where you got to hope for this point from him.
Well, I'm just hoping that this is the first time that the dolphins have been trailing in like a
month and a half.
And they just didn't have the ball that much.
But against the Bengals, if Burrow is, you know, is Burrow, maybe we can get 33 pass
attempts out of Tua, which could be nine targets, you know, for Waddle.
If he's got a 30% target share, it's even more than that.
But you got at least to have a chance for that.
On the other side of the ball, Dave, Jamie said that Candace Gainwell is clearly the
the top running back for the team.
He was going into last week.
What's that?
He was going into Monday's game.
It was clear to me.
I had to rank that way that Gainwell was the better guy
and certainly the one that Aaron Rogers trusts.
And as far as like,
he's,
he's,
you can make the argument.
He's their number two receiver.
You might make the argument.
He's the number one receiver.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mentioned he has one of the highest target per out run rates.
It's probably even higher than McCaffrey's now.
I think he might have,
of like the regular running backs.
I think he might have the highest target per out run rate in the NFL, Kenneth Gainwell.
The lions are really good against past catching running backs.
I think they allow the second fewest receiving yards to running backs.
So I don't know.
You know, why don't we focus on that later in the week?
I don't know if there's any other Steelers takeaways here, Dave?
Not really.
I do know that earlier this year when they were without Somalo, the blocking was just terrible.
And so I wonder if he could be a linchpin for that front.
five and we know from watching rogers over the last two years and four plays that he's had that
when he's pressured he's he's he's making life decisions and business decisions rather than
trying to throw down field or try to keep a play alive shout out to rye geese who said i won on
a chance last catch i kind of did you know i won like slightly before that maybe on the dolphin
sack i had somebody tell me the exact same thing this morning that they won on that catch
Yes, exactly.
So I went into the night down 39 points in our FFT league,
and I had A-chan, whichever Steelers running back I wanted,
and the Dolphins DST, and I took that decision right up to the,
and I share a team with Dustin, and I'm like,
what do you think we should do, gain well or Warren?
I'm looking for everything.
I know he's active, but I'm looking for,
is he going to be limited, whatever?
I find nothing.
There's a video of Jalen Warren walking through the tunnel,
and I'm like, let's see, how pale does he look?
Does he look okay, you know?
And so he says, so Dustin says, what would Jamie do?
He says, J.B. says you always use his rankings.
So I asked Jamie.
So I asked Jamie, he says probably play it safe with Game Well.
I still wasn't sure.
So I asked Dave, he says go with Game Well.
I still wasn't sure.
I asked Twitter.
I said, Gain & Well or Warren, the first name I see five times I'm going with.
I get six responses immediately, three Gainwells, three Warrens.
And then I didn't even have time to wait for more responses.
I just, we went with Gainwell, and we won by two and a half points or something like that.
So, yes.
Now we have Heath next week, this upcoming week in a semi-finals.
It is the definition of rivalry in that semifinals.
It's you and Heath and then Jack and Maron.
Are there rivals?
Well, friendly rivals.
Yeah, yeah.
That's great.
That's great.
Jack and Maron are a couple of producers for us.
Our Maron is, what's Maron?
He's like a dude.
Corby.
Yeah, he's a dude now.
All right.
I'm not going to do the dropometer today.
You guys approve of that?
Sure.
Anyone who you wouldn't consider starting or stashing shouldn't even bother
beyond your roster, unless it's somebody that would make another team in your league better.
And you brought up something, Dave, in our private chat that I forgot to mention,
but there's a little bit of etiquette to blocking your opponent.
It is absolutely not okay.
Let's say your opponent needs a kicker or a tight end or whatever.
It's not okay to...
Your opponent just lost Patrick Mahomes.
Yeah.
You cannot add guys, drop them.
Add another guy at the position.
Drop him.
You cannot just intentionally drop people
to put them on the waiver wire.
This is usually people do this on Friday or Saturday or something.
You can't do that.
In fact, we have a clause in the rules for the FFT Open
that you can get kicked out of your league if you do that.
So don't even think about it.
But there is nothing against just picking up a player
that you don't need just to block your opponent from getting him.
But you got to hold on.
him through the week.
I don't know that you have to hold on to him through the week.
Like, okay, you need Mahomes, so I pick up Kirk Cousins because you wanted him.
I don't think I'm obligated to hold on to Cousins for the week.
Do you?
Yeah.
Well, just based on what you said, you shouldn't drop him the next day.
Right.
And what are you going to, you're going to drop him Sunday morning before the game start?
Oh, that's my feathers would be, one feather would be ruffled if you did that.
It's not that big of a deal.
It's nothing.
It's fine.
I think you should have to carry that player through the week
if you really want to keep everything
No way.
Basically is you just you can't you can't add and drop multiple players
but you can add one player and then drop them right away.
Um,
well the thing is if you didn't say right away,
you're saying you're going to pick up Kirk Cousins on Wednesday to play keep
away from me.
Yeah.
And then you're going to keep them until Sunday and then you're going to drop Cousins on Sunday.
Yeah, he's not saying keep him until Sunday.
I guess if it's one place.
player, I guess it's fair game.
I said I would only have one feather ruffled.
I wouldn't be up in arms about it.
Definitely not the same thing as add drop, ad drop, ad drop, ad drop, ad drop.
And then the only guy I can get is Kenny Pickett.
Like, that's not fair.
That's not cool.
Right.
And people usually do that with one roster spot, one spot on their roster that they just
keep cycling with add drop, ad drop, ad drop, just to put someone on weight,
just to pick someone up and then put him on waivers so he can't be picked up.
Yeah.
Anyway, I think you get the point.
All right, to the wide receivers or to the quarterbacks here on
the waiver wire.
Brissette is the best.
Stroud.
Jamie, you said you like Stroud over everyone?
I do.
Okay.
Over Minchu and Bryce Young and Shug.
Okay.
I think we've talked about them enough.
You know, Dave is gravitating to J.J. McCarthy.
Jamie likes Gardner Minchew.
I already told you.
Tennessee's a great matchup.
Tampa Bay is a great matchup for Bryce Young.
Tyler Shucks has a great matchup with the Jets.
Kirk Cousin, great matchup with Arizona.
Four of the last five quarterbacks have thrown three touchdowns against them.
Then you got Mario da and we're just not feeling it with him, right, Jamie?
I mean, look, again, if you're the Mahomes manager and this is the best you can get,
like, you know, Dave mentioned Rivers and Pickett and all those other guys.
Clearly, you want Marioita if he's still out there.
As much as he did not take advantage of the Giants, he also had a 27-point game against the Broncos.
So it wouldn't shock me if he has a good game against Philadelphia.
I just don't want to count on it.
So all these other guys, including Aaron Rogers, would be better than Mario.
I'd rather Mariona than Rogers.
But I'll have to get the point.
I'm sorry, Jamie.
Mariona has Dallas in week 17.
So that's just another thing to think about
if you have room to stash him.
He gets the Cowboys at home.
A couple questions in the chat.
Brissette or Dak Prescott this week?
Reset.
Jackson.
There's only two quarterbacks I would start head of Brissette this week.
One is Josh Allen.
The other is Jalen Hertz.
Okay.
So you're telling me I should go Hertz over Burrow this week, huh?
I would, yes.
I would too
I'll see about T Higgins is out
that's an easy call
Stroud or Dart
I've got such a tough matchup
right now I have
Dart but it's close
just not really loving
what I'm seeing from Dart
these days
and then there's of course
the Minnesota aspect of it
okay
we've got
running backs
so Michael Carter
Michael Carter
Michael Carter
Kenneth Gainwell
Tyrone Tracy
how do you rank them Dave
Carter will be third
Jamie
Gainwell Tracy
Carter in PPR
okay
it's going to be close
between Tracy and Gainwell
and then if
Woody Marks were out
would you
would you then prefer
Gawar Jordan to Jacori
Kroski Merritt
I would prefer
Joe R Jordan to Michael Carter
okay
yeah but we're just not expecting
that it seems like Woody Marks
is going to be fine
I think the way you approach Jordan is the same way you approached Dailen Wright last week.
Like, you want to have him on your team just in case you have Woody Marks, but even if you don't have Woody Marks, like, why would you not want to start that guy after what he just did and the matchup that yet?
Did you know that Jackson Dart and Woody Marks are roommates?
They are renting the Blue Medical Tent.
Every single week they are in the Blue Medical Tent is like insane.
You've got Jaleo McLaughlin.
Where would you rank Jaleel McLaugh, or I guess you probably haven't ranked against Jacksonville?
Jacksonville is a brutal matchup.
Oh, my gosh.
Where would you rank McLaughlin this week, Dave?
A flex.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
It's fine.
Jamie answered for me.
It's a low-end flex.
Okay.
And then you guys like McLaughlin overestime?
No, I need a switch set in the column.
Estimate should be ahead.
I just wish there was a little bit more clarity.
I think the Denver situation, there's pretty clear that while Tyler Badeeat,
Badee will have chances to work in passing down situations.
McLaughlin will be the running downs guy.
And so the New Orleans situations, I think it's going to be Estimate.
It sounds like Dave does too.
But like there's still some, you know, potential of both guys and maybe the hot hand.
And so SMAs played the last two games.
When Camara first went down, Hull was the backup to Devoniel.
And so does Hull get the first opportunity?
and we know how bad the jets are.
Like, you know, when Dave was going through the deeply guys,
like if you can't get estimated, it's not a bad idea to take a flyer on,
on Hull also just in case he's the guy and we get to the middle of the week.
And, you know, you get those, here's the videos of the running back drills
and Hull's the one going first.
And, you know, he ends up being the better of the two.
So it's just, I don't think, a situation where it's a guarantee it's estimate.
And in the case of both of these backfields, you know,
we're seeing some, I'm seeing some stuff in the chat here.
Like, Neil may still be able to play Camara, maybe.
be back, you know, and in the case of Denver, you may get R.J. Harvey back. So there's,
there's not, I think, a clear path for Jordan, for McLaughlin, for SMA to be even
relevant this week. But with Neil Hurt and I don't know if Camer is coming back, I think that
SMA, like if I had to fire the waiver wire shot on one of them, it would be Estime.
I wouldn't feel great about it like we've talked about. He did have a slight lead in
snap share after Devin Neal got hurt on Sunday.
day was 54%. They had five third down snaps. He played on all five of them. They weren't inside
the 10. But I mean, you just take a look at Evan Hall and Audrey Estimate and you know that
estimate is going to work in goal to go situation. So I think that Estime will have the high
value touches and have probably like a 1A type share on running downs. And that makes me feel
comfortable with him over Hall. I like Hall when he came out. He's an interesting player,
but he's just never been able to even get the opportunity to show what he can do.
SMA has shown it on occasion.
I just think he's the more physical
and he's got just as good of hands.
You also have Taysam Hill, though,
so we'll see how that factors into.
Yeah, but I mean,
they could have been using Hill this whole time with Neil.
But they haven't had a situation
where they didn't have one of Camara,
Kendry Miller, or Devin Neal.
So they're down to their fourth and fifth options.
Like, this could be Taysam Hill show for all we know.
I think everyone's going to be a little nervous
starting a Saints running back,
even against a team.
Like I said,
the Jets have allowed 23 touch.
touchdowns to running backs. It's unreal.
So you said, you know, we don't know who's going to play.
I don't know if you mentioned this, but Chris Rodriguez could play.
I mean, Chris Rodriguez was a game time decision.
Yeah.
So, Jacori Crosky, Merritt, first of all, the Eagles run defense has not been great lately.
They're now 21st against running backs.
They allow 4.35 yards per carry and the sixth most receiving yards per game to running backs.
Certainly they could get Jalen Carter back, and that would help.
But it's possible that Chris Rodriguez plays because he was a game time.
decision got ruled out just before the game.
So that's another thing we have to keep in mind here.
Okay, wide receivers.
You got Troy Franklin.
You didn't have a lot of the shallow league guys this week, understandably, but you
had Troy Franklin on there.
I just wanted to point out his role really didn't change that much, even without Pat
Bryant.
He actually, like, Lil Jordan Humphrey replaced Pat Bryant and played more than
Troy Franklin.
Franklin played 50% of the routes, around 50% of the routes, I think.
He just had a great game.
And he maybe could have had two touchdowns, but was ruled.
down on one of them.
But, you know, he came back.
And the Jaguars have been better lately, but they face really easy competition.
This used to be a matchup that we really picked on.
So you got Franklin, you got Romeo Dobbs, you got Jaden Higgins, who's had two bad games
in a row.
But then we get to the guys to actually add on the waiver wire, Jaden Reed.
Well, I shouldn't say it that.
The guys who are more available.
Jaden Reed, Luther Burden.
I think you guys have agreed that if Burden plays, he'd be ahead of Reed, right?
Yes.
Yeah.
He's really doing some great things.
I mean, he played about half the game
and had six catches for 84 yards on seven targets, Luther Burden.
So he's really coming into his own.
Back-to-back games with 11 PPR points with O'Donzeo.
Right, and one of them was a half game.
That's awesome.
And Jalen Coker, you know, it's a little tough to trust
because he's usually getting four targets.
But, you know, I would love to see a bit of a shoot out here
between Tampa Bay and Carolina.
Huge game, by the way.
Holy cow.
Mass.
Yes.
They play twice in the last three weeks for the division, basically.
Dave, what do you think about Adonai Mitchell?
Nine targets, six catches, 58 yards in a touchdown after a terrible game.
But now he gets New Orleans, and usually we don't see a lot of running back wide receiver targets against New Orleans.
But what do you think about Mitchell this week?
I am mildly encouraged by Brady Cook and how he looked against Jacksonville.
He did have to do a lot of passing.
And he had good timing with Adonai Mitchell.
Certainly you see it on the touchdown.
There were a couple of hitch plays where Cook is getting the ball out before Mitchell comes out of his break.
I think he's probably going to be my favorite Jets receiver of him, John Mechie, Isaiah Williams.
Is he going to be a top 36 receiver?
He's going to be close, but probably not.
Not one I'll have a lot of conviction on, even though it should be a very familiar game script.
I'll feel better about Mitchell if Terod Taylor ends up starting, and I will feel worse about Mitchell if Justin Fields.
is starting. So a lot of variables there, but at least it's a receiver who's going to play a lot
and he's had some solid games over the last month or so. Maybe you can buy an oom if you're totally
desperate. I'd rather have burden. It's, Reed is like the floor play and Mitchell would be the
ceiling play. But I would take, I would take Mitchell if Watson's out and Terrad Taylor's in,
but those are a lot of ifs that we just don't have the answers to on a Tuesday morning.
And then Rashid Shaheed is pretty interesting.
It'll be, I assume, tough for people to trust him.
Thursday against the Rams.
He's finally starting to get some more targets.
He's got a target per out run rate about 22%, two straight games.
This is Rashid Shahid we're talking about here.
And maybe you get a touchdown last week.
Yeah, and maybe you get, you know, high scoring game with more pass attempts.
The Rams have a good run defense.
Seattle's not running the ball well.
And the Rams are 24th against receiver.
No.
But that offensive line, you have to keep an eye on the injuries there.
You said Charles Cross left the game later?
Was it Abe Lucas?
No, it was cross.
I think it was on the game-winning field goal.
Okay.
Well, Lucas was hurt, too.
And so, oh, my gosh, if they're down both of their starting tackles.
Wow.
Yeah, that's bad for Sam Darnold, who really looked panicky for much of last week's game.
That's bad.
They're debating how fast you are versus Dan in the chat in Johnny Airport just said,
Dan is faster, but he gets winded really quickly from all that butter he's been drinking
to coffee.
I, I, I, ooh, that's a good question.
I think I'm faster than him.
It takes me.
I think you're faster than him.
Yeah.
It takes me a little while to get going.
I would Dan say, though, if you ask him, you're faster.
Oh, you think you're faster than me?
What, you weigh 140 pounds?
You have no strength in those legs.
Yeah.
We should have you guys run a 40 before your next tennis match and then after your next tennis match.
and then after your next tennis.
No, I think they've got to do a decathlon next summer.
One guy you should keep an eye on is Devon Veilay,
who's on the injury report.
But if he plays, we're seeing some good things from him,
and he's 30% roster.
And what do you think about Slayton?
Slayton had 10 targets last week,
and another drop touchdown.
Minnesota.
Yeah, Minnesota.
Yeah.
I didn't mention these injuries for Minnesota,
but Jonathan Grinard's out for the year.
He's a great edge rusher for them,
and defensive tackle.
That's significant.
Javon Hargrave left with an injury to defensive tackle.
Yeah, that's significant as well.
That makes the match of a lot better for Jackson Dart.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Jacob says it was a perfect hand impression.
Thank you.
All right.
So someone said Dan and I are the new Starsky and Hutch.
Which one am I?
Neither.
You're like bizarro Starsky and Hutch if they were dorks.
Well, one of the, isn't Starsky a dork?
I mean, not in the TV show.
I've only seen the movie.
I've never watched an episode of this show or seen the movie, so I have no clue what you're talking about.
The movie is great.
It's great.
Oh, good.
Another recommendation.
Dude, it's Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
It's great.
And Vince Vaughn.
Do it.
Do it.
All right, tight ends.
Kyle Pitts, Darren Waller.
That's the only line that people use from that movie, though.
People won't even know it's from that movie
That is the best
The most quotable line of the movie
But it's actually
You know who loves that movie
Schaefer loves that movie
Right Schaefer back me up here
Yeah that's an old timer
It's great
It's real I'm gonna watch it like very soon
I'm pumped up about this
All right there's Dalton
The car is the best part
Which one?
The car
The car
Like the whole
His love affair with the car
Yeah it's
I mean it you know
Like when you think
I mean for me like
as a, you know, dating myself here, but a kid of the 80s, like the generally Knight Rider
and the car from Starsky and Hutch, like, and the Ferrari from Magnum.
Like, they're all icons with the shows.
What was the name of the guy?
Oh, yeah.
I always quote, I'm going to give it to my man dancing, Rick.
I've quoted that movie before.
Okay, anyway, you like Colson, Loveland or Dalton Shultz?
I forget.
Well, that's a good one from Game of Eric, the 18 Van, too.
What was the question?
Lovelland or Schultz?
I'd go Schultz, especially what he's done.
But Loveland gets a little bit of a bomb.
I just don't like the fact that he hasn't had a lot of targets,
even though O'Donzee's been out.
Okay.
And we've got Parkinson, Gadsden.
You think Gadsden will do better or worse
than the four catches for 61 yards he had last week?
I mean, that puts him in the range of a low-end starter.
I think just looking at the matchup here,
like this is an opportunity for Herbert to have maybe a get-right game.
just because Dallas has been so bad.
I mean, again, look with J.J. McCarthy just did against them.
So if there's no Quentin Johnston, I think Gadsden's going to be a little bit better, yes.
And no Quinn and Williams obviously helps the pass rush as well.
It won't be as effective.
And even though the offensive line for the Chargers is Swiss cheese,
maybe Herbert gets an extra couple of seconds to get the ball out and find people downfield.
I'm with Jamie.
I think if there's no Quentin Johnson, you could go with Arronday Gadsden.
how do you feel about
So Mr. Viper says the DeLorean
The DeLorean was a movie
Not a TV show
But yes, the DeLorean obviously is iconic
Kid is the 101 for me
I love Knight Rider
Yeah
How do you feel about Theo Johnson
Against the Vikings?
I mean he's not a car
So he's not as cool
But I think you can make a play for him
And maybe give him a little bit more value
In non-PR and half PPR
Because he just doesn't get a ton of catches
From week to week
But he's in that range of low-end
starter maybe a top 12 tight end the ones that that i could see playing well but also make me nervous
are theo johnson breton strange and joan johnson like you know you've seen certainly the highs
some in in the case of like johnson and strange uh both johnson's and strange like the highs
haven't exactly been huge you know you've seen 10 to 12 points like they just don't score touchdowns
very often and that's the concern well yeah so how would you rank guys like theo johnson
breton strange with harold fan and junior and dalton kincade
cancate ahead of them fanning ahead of them those guys right behind okay how about fanning or um
i'm ready to start parkinson and loveland ahead of theo what about yeah but what about
gadston over would you start gadsden over fanning as of now as of now i'm i don't think i'm there yet
between theo when johnston out i will start gadsden over fanning quentin johnston in i will start
fanning over gaston all right oh here's a trivia question for you guys
It's funny you say, wow, I don't disagree with you, but like prior to the last three weeks or, you know, maybe last four weeks, but like Gadsden was clearly the better of the two.
What does kit stand for?
Right, writer.
Oh, man.
Keep it simple, thupid.
Is that what it is?
No, I don't know what it is.
But do you remember what was the name of the evil kit?
Oh, man.
That's so far.
I don't remember.
Looking for the answer.
They made a version of Kit that was, like, evil.
What does Kit stand for?
It stands for Knight Industries 2000.
Okay.
And then Evil Kit was Carr.
Knight Automated Roving Robot.
They could have done a little better with the acronyms in the 80s, I'd say.
You know, in Stranger Things, the most recent season, they've referenced the flux capacitor, which obviously I knew.
but they also made a Bilbo Baggins reference.
Is that a, is that character super old?
Is the Lord of the Rings story?
Absolutely.
I didn't realize that.
Lord of the Rings has been out there for, it's not,
Lord of the Rings was a, like a whole novel series.
Adam doesn't read.
But from, from the 80s?
Yes.
I had no idea.
Of course you didn't.
Okay.
You sit in your house all day and smell dead mice.
Anything of what's going on.
I prefer that to cat crap.
Again, the DSTs,
if you can get the chiefs,
Niners, and Bills,
you can roll with them.
If not, Saints, Vikings, lions.
This was not the best week for DSTs.
Eddie Paniero, Zane Gonzalez,
Andreas Boragalas.
And I'm going to give it to my man,
Dancing Rick.
All right, we'll talk to you guys tomorrow
on Fantasy Football today.
Paramount Podcasts.
