This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Tuesday, September 16th.
Welcome everybody to fantasy football today presented by BetMGM, the sports book born in Vegas.
What a waiver wire week
if you need a quarterback
you probably do
and there are a lot of them
available on the waiver wire
a lot of them with some good matches
Aaron Rogers
great matchup this week
are we going to trust him
and many many more names
to talk about here
including Jake Browning
and Tarad Taylor
and Carson Wentz
and Marcus Marriota
all right Adam A's or Dave Richard
and Jamie Eisenberg
Just a year is it
Yeah I know right
Just a quick reminder
usually we have CBS Sports Network Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m. Tuesday WaiverWire,
Thursday rankings for the week. We are not doing that this week. So no CBS Sports Network this
week, but we've got all your waiver wire needs right now, including the top three waiver wire
priorities from Jamie Eisenberg. Go. For me, it would be Juan Johnson won. Screw quarterback.
Who needs a quarterback? We need tight ends. So Johnson's, you know, back-to-back games over 15
PPR points, hard to overlook that.
And then it would be two quarterbacks with Daniel Jones and Jake Browning.
I think for Jones, it's time to buy into him as a number one fantasy quarterback at this point.
You know, two straight, solid games, one against Denver.
I know they both have been at home.
So we'll see if this is the, you know, pitfall coming up, division game on the road.
But based on what he's done through two games with this Colts offense, I'm going to trust him this week if I need a quarterback.
And then Jake Browning, the track record, small sample size, seven games, but 22 plus fantasy.
points on average in the seven games he started in 2023 without Joe Burrow and over 20 fantasy
points coming in for Joe Burrow in week two. And Burrow is going to be out the majority of the
season. So again, it was Juan Johnson, who has now go back to last year. John Johnson now has
seven or more targets in four straight games. You look at his career, you can find some good two
game stretches, hard to find good three game stretches for Joanne Johnson. This might feel
a little bit different because he is playing pretty much every
single snap. They're designing
plays for him and he's
51% rostered. So this might
be the last opportunity to get Joanne
Johnson who has 20 targets in two games
at Seattle this week. And then Daniel
Jones and Jake Browning for Jamie.
Okay, that's top three for Jamie. How about
for Dave?
I want to go in a different direction with my top three
Adam because a lot of people are in leagues
where Joanne Johnson was picked up last week
and obviously there's going to be people who are going
to prioritize quarterback based on
what they need. Let me give you a top three players that are going to be available in the
majority of leagues. So these guys are available in those deeper leagues. I think Troy Franklin is
number one with a bullet for the Denver Broncos. Looks like he's going to be their number
two receiver. The targets have been awesome for him each of the first two weeks of the season.
It's not like there's a whole bunch of great players on my specific list because it's a deeper
list. Jetavian Sanders would be there. I like the target volume that he got in week number
two. Just worried about how long that can continue for over the course of the season, but for now,
I think he's not bad. And then I was going to say Woody Marks. I'm not sure if it's ever going
to be Woody Marks. So why not put Chris Rodriguez on your shopping list, since I think he's going to end up
being active for the commanders. And we're going to have a new look for how the commanders are going to
use their running backs. Cross game is going to be their main guy. But who's going to work third
downs, who's going to be working near the goal line? Are we sure it's going to be McNichols,
who is definitely on the commanders each week for his special teams play? Could it be Rodriguez?
And so in those deeper leagues, you really don't have anything else to improve your roster.
Maybe you avoided the injury so far.
Stashing Chris Rodriguez and seeing what happens this week is not a bad idea.
All right. So those are really deep league guys. So Franklin, Chris Rodriguez, and I'm sorry,
who is the, who, uh, oh, Jatavian Sanders.
The Jatavian Sanders was in the middle.
And by all means, like if Jawan Johnson is out there on your waver war, he trumps all these guys.
Same thing with Harold Fanon.
Same thing with Cedric Tillman.
And of course, if you need a quarterback, Jones and Browning, those are the two.
Okay.
This is not exactly the top three.
Is this, okay, Dave is going kind of all.
My top three is a deeper league top three.
So people that are in 12 team leagues, slightly deeper benches,
Joanne Johnson's already rostered.
It's for those folks.
Gotcha.
So Troy Franklin played 83% of the snaps.
That was his first game of his career playing more than two-thirds of the snaps.
And I think at least in this game, he kind of played the Evan Ingram role, kind of what we expected from Ingram, kind of a short area slot guy.
Well, Ingram's barely playing so far this year, even when he's healthy.
And Franklin was, you know, he's primarily in the slot and he's getting wide receiver screens and things.
So he had one big play on a really nice play by Bo Nix.
But, yeah, I'm very intrigued by Troy Franklin,
just kind of seeing the role that he's feeling that.
We were excited about Evan Ingram.
It's not happening for Ingram.
And it kind of looks like Troy Franklin is doing that role.
I want to talk about, well, you know, you mentioned Joanne Jennings.
I thought, Joanne Jennings, 71% rostered.
Would he be the number one ad if he's available for you guys?
he'd be the number one receiver
he'd certainly be in the top three
are we sure he's okay
Carl Shanan said he was banged up on Monday
I think he's going to be banged up every week
and I think based on his contract
he's going to play every week
as long as he can play through it
okay that's cool
all right well Joanne Jennings coming off big game
and I thought he'd be more available
in ESPN and Yahoo leagues
but he's actually rostered in more ESPN
and Yahoo league than he is CBS
which is unusual because ESPN and Yahoo
more 10 team leagues than CBS but
John Jennings
71% rostered in CBS, 80% in Yahoo, 76 on ESPN.
How about Quinnshon Judkins, 89% rostered on CBS?
Yahoo, Quinchon Judkins, 62% rostered, 57% on ESPN.
So I just, I talk about Quinshan Judkins, and I feel like I haven't brought this up.
He's probably going to get suspended, right?
And I think Dan brought it up yesterday, but we've got to say this.
If you're thinking about dropping Dylan Samson or anything like that,
how are you guys looking at Jamie the Judkins situation right now?
I didn't see he's going to get suspended.
Where did that come?
Well, there was a report that they're bracing for a suspension.
Okay, maybe I'm reading into it too much, but I thought he's, what do you think?
He's met with league officials about the July incident.
Should I not have said that?
Am I jumping to conclusions?
I just didn't see it.
So I'm curious because that's news to me.
I would assume if he's going to get suspended, it's probably going to be a two-game suspension at most.
I mean, he's not been convicted of anything, and the charges were dropped.
So, you know, they can certainly do what they want to do based on how the Code of Conduct policy is.
But I wouldn't be dropping Dylan Samson anyway.
I mean, he's going to have a role in tandem with Judkins.
You want to drop forward.
That's a different conversation.
But in the case of Judkins, you know, again, I look at the other sites in their waiver columns,
and I get jealous when they get to write about Basial Tutin and, you know, Quinchon Juddkins.
Because I have to throw that into a category of, you know, hey, if you're in the 10-team league on CBS and these guys are available, go get them.
Yes, those are the two biggest priorities.
Tutin, to me, would be as right there with Judkins.
So, yes, if you can look at your waiver wire, if you play on a different site,
and you see guys like Juan Jennings and Tutin and Judkins and these type of guys that have so much upside,
Scataboo, you know, I mean, another one that, you know, looks like you could be taking over the Giants pack,
So there's lots of options, again, as I said to you on Express, and I hope people understand this that have been listening to us and watching us for years, that we try to, I try to, we try to on the show, but I try to in the column, you know, give you from 10 team leagues to 16 team leagues.
You know, it's, it's, it's, it's something that I think we make a good priority of doing.
I've got Tony Grossey of ESPN Cleveland reporting that, not reporting, speculating that there will be a suspension.
This was last week.
I mean, yeah, but again, I wouldn't be dropping those guys
whether Judkins is not suspended or not.
All right.
Okay, there we go.
There are some names for you.
And let me ask you this about Jake Browning
because obviously in Super Flex leagues,
we now have some other options.
We have Carson Wentz.
We have maybe, hopefully not, but maybe Mariotta.
But with Browning, you just mentioned how good he's been, Jamie,
when he's played.
How concerned are you about the idea
of throwing all your fab at him
And then the Bengals trade for someone because we're already starting to hear speculation about that,
not from Cleveland, just from people who watch football and whatever.
Like, are they going to go after James Winston, Kirk Cousins, you know, whoever it may be.
Do you think the Bengals might go that route?
I don't think they're trading for a starter.
I think they're trading for a backup.
You know, so if they are going to get somebody, it's in the case of what happens to Jake Browning.
So you're right.
We talked about this a little bit on Express yesterday, and that was before we got the,
McCarthy and Daniels
News. So anybody that watched that,
we were giving you some options
in a different way. We were talking about Terrat Taylor,
you know, just if you want to manage the
week-to-week quarterback situation, if you lose
Borough, before you can make a trade or somebody else
emerges. But I think in the case of
what we're looking at now,
yes, you don't have to spend
all your fab. That being said,
if Browning is the starter for the rest
of the season, or at least until week 15,
then you could be getting
a borderline number one.
fantasy quarterback and so those type of options don't come along very often but we are three weeks
into the season and now we've lost purdy for potentially two games who knows much longer because
he sounds like he's going to miss week three you lose borough for you know 12 weeks essentially
you lose McCarthy maybe for two or three weeks you lose maybe daniels for a week you lose maybe
justin fields for week this is the one position where you could survive that in one quarterback
leagues. In Superflex and two quarterback
leagues, you need to go get these guys.
So, you know, there may be
because, you know, looking at the
roster percentages in some 10
team super flex and two
QB leagues, Russell
Wilson, Joe Flacco, Spencer Rattler,
those guys may be on waiver, so it's a different
conversation when you have all these guys. But in a 12
team league, like the one we play in, you know, where
someone like me is rostering Jackson
Dart with the what if.
And, you know, you had to make
the tough choice of dropping Spencer Rattler,
But for the most part, every quarterback is roster.
Then you're going to spend a lot of FAB on something like this.
All right.
So, Dave, let's transition to the FAB discussion here.
And how much FAB are we spending on the Jawan Johnson's of the world?
I think Jawan Johnson is worthy of a 15 to 20 percent FAB drop.
It's been two weeks of him playing well.
Marry that with the track record of tight ends under Kellyn Moore.
Marry that with how Spencer Rattler has been playing,
the game script for the Saints all along
and I think that we should
count on Joanne Johnson
oh man saying the sentence gives me
the heby-jeebies but I'm going to say it anyway
we can hope
that Joanne Johnson can be a top 12th
tight end rest of season
well I mean think think about where we are
at the position right
sure no no no I get yeah yeah I have
kiddle out for at least two more games
who knows where we go from there right
Ingram is dropable
Andrews is dropable those were two guys that for the
part, based on ADP, were drafted as top 12 guys.
Hawkinson, not great so far to start the season, potentially drop a bowl in 12 team
leagues.
And then a week ago, we were waiting to see or trusting, in some cases, from this group
of players.
Johnson was among them.
Johnson, Fanon, obviously Johnson's been better through two weeks.
Najoko's been a bust through two weeks.
But in terms of the waiver, where guys, like Hunter, Henry, Brenton, Strange,
Kyle Pitts, Dalton Kincaid.
Like, there's been a group of guys that, you know,
in some strange situations that have either been good or bad.
And so I think in the case of Johnson, like,
you're seeing this role with this new coordinator and quarterback.
And to Dave's point, Spencer Atler's thrown 80 times in two weeks.
You know, like, there's probably going to be a lot of volume in this passing attack.
And it's been, from a target perspective, beneficial for not just Johnson,
but Alave and Chehid.
And I think in the case, again, of Johnson, like, you're seeing production.
And, you know, you mentioned the targets, Adam.
The production was there at the end of last season, too.
He was taking advantage of those targets.
So when he's getting these chances, he's producing.
All right.
Guess who's number two among tight ends in targets so far this season?
It's Jake Ferguson because Joanne Johnson's number one, 20 targets through two games.
Guess who's number one in PPR points per game among tight ends this season?
Johnson.
No.
Nope. Tucker Kraft.
by a point and a half ahead of Joanne Johnson.
So Joanne Johnson, who nobody drafted through two weeks,
is doing better in the target and fantasy point averages
than our heroes, Brock Bowers, and Trey McBride.
Do I think this last?
No.
Do I think he's a top 12th tight end?
At this point, yes, I do.
Okay.
I'm starting to lean more toward 20% just to lock this up.
And hopefully you don't have any major tight end worries the rest of the season,
hopefully, fingers crossed, maybe.
Okay.
How much fab for Wondell Robinson?
This is one of those where I think with the receivers, there's so many options.
So I wouldn't go crazy with it.
But, you know, again, we're talking targets.
He's got 18 targets in two games, you know, and you just saw with Russ the second game of these two guys together, a career performance for him.
So, again, I wouldn't go crazy.
But, you know, Dave mentioned two names already in, you know, guys that he's interested in.
There are two guys I wrote about in Cedric Tillman and Troy Franklin.
you have um you know from uh still have Josh Downs out there so Christian Kirk still have
well I was going to say like you know he's ahead of those guys for now yeah I mean right now I have
Wondell as a number one receiver to add this week because the the floor is so safe and the ceiling
could be you know better than we've seen from him before but it's they're so lumped together
you know and I would say it's not just you know some of those guys it's like
IOManner is, you know, having a good start to his career through two games.
You know, like there's lots of guys that are kind of in this, you know, number three-ish range.
And so I don't, I don't mind, you know, taking chances on somebody a little, or I'm sorry,
I don't mind not necessarily spending all my fab on one receiver this week.
Like, I don't know by next week, you know, we're going to see WAND.
I'll come back to being, you know, 11 PPR points.
and, you know, Tillman took a fluky touchdown for him to get to where he was at this week.
You know, so there's just, you know, in Franklin, obviously, you know, you could see Marvin Mims showing a little bit of signs of life and maybe Ingram too.
So I wouldn't go crazy with it.
I'd go 8% and that's in full PPR.
It's going to be lower if it's half a non-PPR.
And he had 11.5 ppr points in week one.
And that's, that's what I would expect from him.
All right.
So unless it's Juan Jennings, we're not going to be spending more than, say, roughly 8% on a waiver wire wide receiver this week.
And then quarterbacks, obviously, Superflex changes everything.
Just last question.
You'd spend what percentage of your fab on Browning?
In Superflex?
Yeah.
I think, again, if you're committing yourself to all of it,
I would say in your league, you're probably starting in the 70% range.
So if you want to save yourself a little bit for the rest of the season, I get it.
If you miss them, you know, you got to make sure you try and get.
a Wenz, a Mariotta, one of these guys.
And by the way, let's give Thomas some credit.
His $38 on Carson Wentz is paying off.
And we'll see.
Let's see how once does and for how long before we give him props on the $38
bid.
That's still a lot of change.
Would you put a 38% bid in for Carson Wentz this week, Jamie?
In a Super Flex League, 100%.
In a Super Flex League when we don't know how long Wentz is going to play for.
This isn't like Browning.
This isn't like Daniel Jones has already.
rostered. Yeah, but you also have to take into account, and I'll speak for Thomas here. He has
basically one quarterback. So he was, okay, fine. And that's, he was. How much for, yeah, how much
for Wentz is a good question. Again, whenever you get these guys that are going to be multi-week
starters. So Mac Jones last week, you know, we were hearing two to five weeks. This week, it could be,
you know, two to three weeks for, for McCarthy being out, you know, so 30% makes a lot of
sense. All right. So I just want to say that I've been watching a lot of game tape.
the last day, Monday is, you know, good game tape day.
Welcome to the club.
Carson, thank you, Dave.
Carson Wentz in week 18 last year was the worst tape I've seen of any player I've watched this year.
Absolutely horrible.
He was playing Chiefs backups against Broncos starters.
So there's that.
It's not there.
That's all you got to do.
No, but that doesn't mean that you should be missing, like, wide open guys.
He was absolutely awful.
I suspect he'll be better than he was.
but it is worth known.
I mean, he was so bad in that game.
What was it, week 18 the year before?
Yeah, his numbers weren't great.
He didn't throw that much.
He ran, let me see.
So week 18, the year before that with the Rams,
he was 17 of 24, 163 yards, two touchdowns, one interception,
but he also had 17 carries, 56 yards, and a touchdown rushing.
Against the Chiefs, he was 10 of 17 for 90, no, not with the Chiefs.
Against the Broncos, he was 10 of 17 for 98 yards and no touchdowns.
But obviously, there's a lot of appeal with Carson Wentz,
especially facing the Bengals and then the Steelers who have been horrible in the next two games.
All right, we're going to take a break.
We got news and notes for you, and many more waiver-wire names after this.

Oh, this is it, the day you finally ask for that big promotion.
You're in front of your mirror with your Starbucks coffee.
Be confident, assertive.
Remember eye contact, but also remember to blink.
Smile, but not too much.
That's weird.
What if you aren't any good at your job?
What if they demo you instead?
Okay.
Don't be silly.
You're smart.
You're driven.
You're going to be late if you keep talking to the mirror.
This promotion is yours.
Go get him.
Starbucks.
It's never just coffee.
Joe Burrow, there's no official timetable for him,
but the reports say minimum three months.
Are we dropping Joe Burrow?
Do you have an IR in your league?
No.
Then you're dropping Joe Burrow.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, is it a keeper league?
Okay.
Kevin Stavansky brushed off talk of a quarterback change for now.
I still worry about this situation, guys, because the Browns are 0-2, their next two games are Green Bay and then at Detroit.
So what happens if they're 0-4?
Do we have to keep us in the back of our mind here as we pick up Tillman, as we pick up Harold Fanon is still widely available?
I wouldn't worry so much about Fanon because I think what Dylan Gabriel does will be okay for him.
I mean, in the case of Tillman, clearly he's benefited now in the six games that he's been fantasy relevant from the majority of that being James Winston and Joe Flacco, you know, two of the biggest gunslingers we've had in the last, you know, three, four years.
So, yes, there'd be a concern, but I'd like to see how this plays out because they're still going to be throwing the ball so much.
Okay. And Jaden Daniels with the knee injury. So Marcus Mariotta actually was very good last year.
in two games where he replaced Jaden Daniels,
23.6 fantasy points against the Panthers,
30 fantasy points at Dallas.
Those were two of the worst defenses in football last year,
but Marietta played really well.
He'll get the Raiders,
who really haven't been that bad defensively through two games.
J.J. McCarthy, high ankle sprain.
The speculation is two to four weeks,
Bengals this week for him,
and Carson Wentz is his replacement.
You know, I don't think anyone eclipsed
300 yards last night, but at least six quarterbacks through for more yards in week two
than J.J. McCarthy has thrown for in the entire season so far. So they've thrown for 150 yards per
game. It should get better no matter who's the quarterback. We've got Justin Fields with the
concussion. Could be Terad Taylor at Tampa Bay. And we've got some running back news. Aaron Jones left
with a hamstring injury, and he seems unlikely to play this week. They get Cincinnati, so it could be a
I think I know my start of the week is, by the way.
So, yes, so Jordan Mason
going to be starting a lot of leagues against the Bengals.
And that's pretty much it for running back.

Brian Thomas Jr. had a wrist injury going into week two.
I think many of you saw the clip circulating.
He just, he alligator armed a few of them.
He just seemed to be shying away from contact.
Maybe the wrist injury for Brian Thomas Jr.
was the reason for that.
He gets Houston this week.
It's going to be interesting.
You know he's going to get shadowed by Stingley.
As I recall, he had success.
I have to go back and watch it.
He had a lot of success against Stingley last year.
Jaden Reed, six to eight weeks with a broken collarbone.
So, Don Tavian Wicks, Romeo Dobbs.
Who do we want there?
We'll discuss that.
Xavier Worthy trending toward a week three return.
Are you guys ready to drop Marquise Brown for your desired waiver wire option?
I wouldn't do that yet.
I think Marquise Brown is certainly in the same kind of range that
Wondale and Tillman and all these other guys,
at least for their short term,
we just don't know what this is going to look like,
you know,
with still Rice out for another couple of weeks.
So if you want to play,
you want to go that route that Rice is returning and you're looking long term,
I get it.
You know,
Tillman and Wondale and Chehede and,
you know,
even Christian Kirk.
But look what the Cowboys just did to the Giants.
And,
You may see Mahomes come out and have a very strong game.
Wouldn't shock me at all clearly.
And so wouldn't be surprised that Marquis Brown does something of significance.
I would just hold on to him until we're sure that Xavier Worthy's playing.
And then even when Worthy's playing, I think Jamie's right, there's a chance that Brown can be useful as a number three receiver.
Okay.
But long term, like if you're making a long term decision, like no chance you're starting Hollywood Brown this week and you want to try and, you know, get that tight end you need or a quarterback, then yes.
Brown is dropable.
Yeah, I'll give you example.
Like, I picked up Brown last week in a league where I had no intention of starting
him.
It was more, I had nobody really that I needed.
My lineup was fine, but I had a roster spot to, you know, sort of, you know,
play with a little bit.
And now I'll drop him.
Tucker Kraft is a big liar.
He said he'd never had a 100-yard game before.
He actually had two in college.
So, quite frankly, I don't know if I could roster someone that I can't trust, but I
will make an exception for Tucker Craft.
There's a lot of offensive line news.
The Buccaneers super beat up, but they just keep on ticking.
They're down both tackles right now.
San Francisco Guard, Ben Barch.
Baker's like, I'll see your 40 touchdowns, and I'll raise you.
Nice, yeah.
And honestly, I mean, it could have been a better game for him, obviously,
but they ran with Rashad White touchdown at the end was anti-climactic for fantasy purposes.
Dallas Center, Cooper Beebe, is going to be out a long time.
with an injury, two minutes, Minnesota's beat up.
Maybe they get Darrasaw back this week.
That'd be nice.
Titans are beat up right now.
Oh, so two panthers.
This is a big deal, I think.
I'm going to end with this.
Then we'll get into the waiver wire.
This is, yes.
The Panthers, right?
So they got, remember, a couple years ago they go out and they, they improve their interior
offensive line.
Part of the reason for that, other than the obvious, is being better, is that they
have a small quarterback and you don't want pressure in his face.
So they knew, and I remember reading this, I'm not just making this up.
They knew they had to be, you know, better in the interior offensive line for the pocket for Bryce Young.
Now you've got Austin Corbett and Rob Hunt on IR.
So, you know, how does this affect, Dave, how does this affect the Panthers offense going forward?
It's going to open the door for more pass rush pressure on Bryce Young for sure.
Yeah, I mean, that being said, he had 169 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter against the Cardinals.
now the Cardinals were without some of their starting corners for most or all the fourth quarter so that could have played a big role in there but i think it's going to be a little treacherous for anybody who's like running routes of 12 plus yards on a semi regular basis in carolina this is one of the reasons why i think jatavian sanders could have some staying power because he can run those shorter routes ted macmillan can run those shorter routes they can work on getting the ball out fast they can work on getting
Bryce Young on the move a little bit more, and they're going to have to do that.
I think the Hunt injury is the one that's way more concerning than the Corbett.
And don't forget about Hunter Renfro.
I mean, he had a big game, too.
So he's involved here.
But just keep in mind, Bryce Young to 55 times.
Like, everybody got a chance to get an opportunity.
He had a whole game's worth of attempts in the fourth quarter, 30 attempts.
Well, Falcons DST, by the way, 7% rostered coming off a six-sack performance at Minnesota.
They're not bad options.
That defense looks great.
Yeah, I mean, they stunk against the bucks, but they were great at Minnesota, and now they face the Panthers.
So we're giving up the third most fantasy points at DSTs.
All right, let's get to our top three players at each position.
Jamie, for quarterback.
What do we got?
So Daniel Jones is one for me.
Number two is Jake Browning, and I believe three is Rogers.
All right, Daniel Jones, Jake Browning, Aaron Rogers.
Rogers facing the Patriots this week
who are giving up the most yards per attempt
and over 300 yards to both quarterbacks they've faced.
With Daniel Jones,
do you guys feel like this is a must-have player,
basically, whether you need a quarterback or not?
Because this is, Jamie, I said,
the Baker Mayfield yesterday,
and you said, let's say maybe the Sam Darnold,
but is this the guy who's going to be a top 10 quarterback this year,
then just needs to be rostered?
I guess if you have, you know, open roster spot and based on the fact that all these quarterbacks are going down, maybe you can add him and trade him or, you know, you want to cover yourself just in case, you know, that your guy is the next one to get injured.
But if you need a quarterback, then yes, he should be added.
So if you're the borough manager, if you're the Daniels manager, if you're the Fields manager, you know, I mean, Fields probably whether he's going to play this week or not, you want to pick up Daniel Jones to see what this looks like moving forward.
But clearly there's something here.
And, you know, you could chalk it up the first week to say, well, we thought Miami was going to be bad.
And he just completely blew us away with how he performed, scoring on every possession, you know, in terms of the Colts, the way that he scored the two rushing touchdowns, you know, leaning on Michael Pittman and Tyler Warren.
Okay.
So there was everything that he could have asked for.
And then here comes Denver.
Well, we know Denver's defense.
They're going to make him look stupid.
And he made them look stupid, you know.
And so a 300-yard game gets you another rushing touchdown.
So the things that Daniel Jones has done well in.
his career, using his legs. You're seeing that. And now you're seeing a guy that's not making the
same stupid mistakes. Again, you know, going, spending time in Minnesota, getting better
coaching, getting better coaching with the Colts and what Shane Steichen is doing with him. So I think you
got to trust it, you know, at least in the short term, until he turns into a pumpkin. And that may
happen and it may happen again you know this week not that i think that the titans defense is one to
run away from by any stretch but when you're seeing all these quarterbacks getting hurt and you're seeing
some of the poor play from some of the guys of the position like why would you not want to buy into this
and i'll go back to something i said in the in the preseason or off season that if let's just say
aaron rogers had signed here based on the weapons at the cold tap you know just a guy that can throw
the ball like we would be so excited about the situation because the situation on paper is great you know
you have this passing attack that just needed somebody to be competent.
And that's what Daniel Jones has been so far.
And so I still don't think, like I said yesterday, Adam,
I still don't think we've seen the best of it because we haven't seen sort of everybody clicking at once.
You know, Warren's been the constant, great, awesome, because we need that at that position.
And you had one good game from Michael Pittman and then an okay game from Josh Towns.
Imagine if we get sort of like that Browns game that we had in week one, you know, where everybody's getting involved in touches and producing.
and then you're seeing Daniel Dones even use his legs on top of that.
So I think it's just low-end number one guy for the rest of season.
He's in that category.
For this week, I think he's a top-told quarterback.
Okay.
He had, according to Fantasy Points Data suite, a 97% first-read target rate in week two.
The highest percentage of passes that were first-read for quarterback in any game
since fantasy points data
has been charting those games
back to 2021.
This is a tweet from Jacob Gibbs.
So he's just kind of running
within the confines of the offense
and it's working for him.
So good job, Daniel Jones.
Would you rather have Caleb Williams
or Daniel Jones rest of the season?
That's great questions.
That is a good question.
I'm a little worried about Caleb
getting benched at some point.
I'm not worried about that
with Daniel Jones anymore.
I mean, God, I love Caleb this week against the Cowboys, right?
This should be a great one.
Sure, yeah, I do too.
Yes, for this week if I'm, so if you're the Daniels manager, let's say, 10-team league and both are available, I would go Caleb Williams.
All right.
Top three running backs, Dave.
Top three running backs.
I would have Rodriguez one, and these are not great names.
Rodriguez one, Woody Marks 2.
I guess Monongai is three, but I had a hard time finding running backs that I really.
A, were available, and B, could be something significant in the short term.
Jamie, do you like Rodriguez or McNichols?
I would go to McNichols first.
I just think that based on what he can do as a past protector,
they're going to trust him to be on the field more.
So the way that I view it is McNichols is going to get the first shot in Echler's role,
which is going to change.
But Echler's snaps if you want to go that route.
and then Rodriguez, I still think, is just the backup to
Jacori Crosky Merritt.
The hope would be is that Crosky Merritt starts to get involved in the passing game,
but I do think that McNichols is going to be the one that they trust in past protection, as of now.
Okay, top three, and Jamie also likes Blake Corum, who will discuss in a bit.
Top three wide receivers.
You're probably haven't seen the updated version of it.
So Rashad White would be second for me just going past the Washington situation
because he's a 64% rostered.
And I think if you're going to get double-digit touches,
for him because we did not see that in week one, and I don't know how much of that was
the groin injury, you know, coming back from that, that he suffered in the preseason.
So you got 11 touches, or excuse me, 12 touches, 10 carries and two catches.
Like, he can still be in the flex conversation, especially when we start to get in it by weeks
if he's doing that.
So even take away the touchdown.
You know, he ran really well.
He actually ran better than Bucky.
All right, wide receivers, Jamie, who are the top three?
So I'll go Wondale 1, Tillman, 2, and Shaheed 3.
And I think you pretty much intimated earlier that it's close, right?
So don't put a huge fad bit on any of these wide receivers.
You go Wondale, Tillman, Shaheed.
Dave, how about you?
What would your order be at wide receiver?
Tillman's still going to be number one, Wondale's second,
and there's a clear difference between those two and the other wide receivers that are available.
I'd go Romeo Dobbs three as a short-term fix.
We know that Christian Watson's still not playing for the next couple of weeks.
Jaden Reed's out for a while, Matthew Golden, they're trying to get going.
I think Dobbs is just the safe, steady, wide receiver in Green Bay's passing game.
And so I'd rather have him than Shaheed, then Franklin.
But it's a short-term play, not a long-term play.
Okay.
Yeah, I would actually go Wicks over Dobbs if you're looking for the Packers guy to go get
because I think we kind of know what Dobbs is.
And you're right.
I mean, he's going to be on the field a lot.
He's going to get opportunities.
Hopefully, you know, he gets more targets.
But you saw Reed goes down and Wix playing time spikes, target spike, you know, like this is, I think, a guy that has a higher ceiling than what Dobbs can give you.
One of the things the Packers and a lot of offenses do well is they put guys in motion and then they create easy opportunities for those guys.
And that was often Jaden Reed.
But last week it was Dantavian Wix.
He was in motion on 30.6% of his snaps and it led to some easy catches for him.
Romeo Dobbs, meanwhile, is almost never in motion.
So I don't know if that's too beyond the box story for you, but I did like seeing that from Wix.
I mean, Wix had a nice game and good target share in week two.
I just, I know who he is and I know he doesn't have reliable hands.
I'd rather go with Dobbs.
Yeah, I agree.
But I'll use your exact same phrase.
I know who Dobbs is too.
Like there's just like a cap ceiling for him, unfortunately.
Do you feel like that ceiling is there, though, without Reed and without the downfield targets
being great for Green Bay?
I just think he is who he is.
He's not going to be a guy
that gets a ton of opportunities.
He's touchdown dependent.
Like, Wix can be such a difference maker.
Granted, he's got to catch a ball.
That's a big part of this.
But clearly, clearly he's their guy
that they want in this role without read there.
All right.
Top tight ends.
Dave Richard, who are top three tight ends?
It's Joanne Johnson, number one.
It's Harold Fanon, number two.
Jatavion Sanders, number three.
Who are some players you drop?
for them?
Well, among tight ends, I think you can move on from, there's a lot of them.
Breton Strange, Hunter Henry, Evan Engram, Dalton Kincaid, Dallas Goddard, if he's not
back this week, could hit the waiver wire in a few leagues.
Mark Andrews is like 96% rostered.
You could move on from him.
I don't know if you necessarily can do that, but if you can, then by all means, go for it.
Okay.
Some people are going to want to hang on to Andrews because they know who he's been.
If he's your worst player to drop, you know, we talk about this all the time.
Who's the player on your bench who's most expendable?
For some people, that could be Andrews.
And in those situations, I wouldn't blame you for dropping them based on what we've seen for the last couple of weeks and what we know is coming for the Baltimore offense once Isaiah likely gets healthy.
And even if likely gets healthy, I think that just it hurts Andrews chances, but Andrews chances are already muddled because of what we're getting out of DeAndre Hopkins and say Flowers is dominating targets.
It's just not working out for Mark Andrews.
Now it's time for coverage you can count on, sponsored by Nationwide.
Just like your fantasy roster is more than just your offensive starters,
Nationwide is a great insurance company and a great financial services company.
So don't forget about the defensive side of the ball.
And remember, Nationwide is on your side.
Give me, Jamie, a DST to stream this week.
Well, I'll go with the Chiefs.
I know Russell Wilson went for, you know, $4.50 and looked great.
But the Chiefs just shut down the Eagles.
It was really funny if you caught the conversation between Chris Jones and Jalen Hertz at the end of the game.
He said, you don't even have 100 yards.
And Jailen Hertz goes, we won the game, basically, dumbass.
They're angry.
They're going to take it out on the Giants.
It's going to be probably pretty ugly for this Giants offense.
Yeah, the chiefs are still available in almost 50% of our leagues.
So that's one that I like a lot.
Yeah, you know something?
I'm not looking forward to watching that game with Heath on Sunday night on the air.
That's going to be brutal.
What would be worse?
You watching that game with Heath or me watching the Hurricanes Gators game with you?
Don't upset potential there, but that.
Oh, please.
Come on.
All right.
That was coverage you can count on.
Some sort, but I don't think...
I don't even think I want to watch the game.
That's how this...
It's only an eight-point spread.
I'm telling you, like the Gators are...
They threw five interceptions and barely lost to the number three team in the country.
All right, guys.
That's the formula you want.
That was coverage you can count on, sponsored by Nationwide.
Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company.
They're one of America's largest financial services companies, too.
For your insurance and financial needs, nationwide is on your side.
nationwide investment services corporation member FINRA Columbus, Ohio.
Jamie, who are the kickers to pick up?
Who are the other DSTs and then the kickers to pick up?
You mentioned the Falcons.
I have to add them.
I didn't have them in there just after.
Jamie's saying the Falcons is a little hard to hear them there.
Absolutely.
Behind the Chiefs, though.
Actually, I like the Seahawks.
I think they're going to make some plays against the Saints.
The Bucks against Tarot Taylor and the Jets and the Colts.
Listen, their defense is playing well too.
So there's five defense as you could look at for this week.
Chiefs, Falcons, Colts are my top three.
Colts get Tennessee.
And then kickers, Jamie?
Spencer Schrader.
He's been very good.
Chris Boswell continues to get the job done.
John Parker Romo, who just learned his teammates after the game on Sunday.
That was a very funny interview.
And then Joey Sly, he's got to be up there in terms of fantasy points amongst kickers.
He's got 16 plus in each of the first two games.
So the Titans are moving the ball.
They're just not scoring touchdowns.
All right.
We're going to take a break and come back.
back with the shallow leagues, the deep leagues.

President Ontario. Eligibility restrictions apply. See golden nuggetcassino.com for details. Please
play responsibly. Shallow leaguers. Definitely going to start that conversation with Quintan Judkins and
Joanne Jennings. As I mentioned, Judkins is available in more than 40% of both ESPN and Yahoo
leagues. Jennings is more like 25% available. But Jamie, who are some other shallow league guys that
if you saw them, you'd make a B-line? They'd be top, top priority. Regardless the position?
yeah you mentioned Caleb Williams if he's out there I think you look at him at
quarterback okay then Drake May still somebody you want to target Trevor Lawrence
we'll see how he does but um if Brian Thomas Jr. can get right then there's still
a lot to like there running backs Tutan we mentioned Judkins we mentioned
Tray Benson, Brian Robinson, Jr., those are two guys I definitely want a roster.
And then Scatavu, you know, just basically with the opportunity of him taking over the Giants job.
And I wonder how much the fumble, I know it wasn't credited to him at the end of the game last night from Arryn Hampton, is going to impact playing time.
It's just, I mean, this rookie class, with all the hype that they had, we had for them, unfortunately, is not paying off.
the first two weeks of the season my goodness you know gentie struggling hampton struggling
henderson struggling like it's been it's been rough harvey's struggling horrible it just sucks um
uh the wide receiver is pretty good opportunities for some guys in 10 team leagues you know
it apparently people bailed on cooper cup i get it after week one but 84 percent roster for him
the two chargers guys are still available in about 17 18 percent of leagues quentin johnston
and keenan allen marquis brown again you know see what happens there darnel mooney i expect
there's going to be a lot more production coming.
And you mentioned Joanne Jennings.
And I also would, you know, go back to Khalil Shakir, too.
I know last week was bad, but it was bad for the entire Bill's passing attack.
They get Miami this week.
Like, there's an easy bounce back potential for Coleman and Shakir as well.
Like, it would not be surprising if you're just, you know, like if you miss on Wondale
and people are dropping Shakir, like this is the same type of player from a floor perspective.
I don't think Shakir does what Wando did last week.
I don't know if he has that potential in this offense, but you still want to.
to, in my opinion, at least, you know, roster, Khalil Shakir if you can't.
Tight ends, there's a bunch of guys, you know, so.
I just want to get it where you don't yell at me that I'm not talking to the microphone.
Zach Ertz and Jake Ferguson.
I'm sorry, not a bunch of guys.
There's two.
Zach Ertz and Jake Ferguson.
Like, those two guys right now off to such great starts.
And Ertz, there was, not Ernst, I'm sorry, I was the theme so much.
But Ertz has been great through the first two weeks this season.
And we'll see if Terry McLaren gets going, what that means for Ertz's production.
But for right now, I think even with Mariotta coming in to start,
Urts will be fine.
And Ferguson, you know, I liked him going into week two.
He exceeded my expectations, you know, and Dave mentioned it.
You know, he's up there right now in terms of, you know, targets in production.
Nine catches, 78 yards, all targets last week was pretty fun to watch.
Yeah.
Can I, I just add something on Ferguson here.
So Chicago's actually been pretty good against tight ends.
They faced the Porta and Hawkinson and held them both to less than 30 yards.
Brock Wright scored, though.
But Chicago's defense is horrible.
They just lost Jalen Johnson for the season,
not that that's going to necessarily affect their tight end coverage or anything,
but they also lost T.J. Edwards, the linebacker.
I don't know the severity there.
So on paper, it doesn't look like a great matchup,
but it's a, you know, they're going to be throwing a lot probably.
But then they got the Packers the week after,
and that's the one thing the Packers have been bad at so far,
is covering tight ends.
Sam Laporta, 79 yards, Zach Earts, and a touchdown.
Ertz, meanwhile, is...
I do think, though, for that game, just based on the narrative,
Michael Parsons will cover everybody.
Well, Ertz is 57% rostered on Yahoo, 50% roster on ESPN.
So he's 82% rostered in CBS.
But, you know, how about, would you rather have Joanne Johnson, Zach Ertz, Jake Ferguson.
How would you rank them?
Ertz?
Ferguson, Johnson.
Johnson's first for me.
I think I'd take Ferguson over Ertz, too.
Okay.
How about Kyle Pitts in this thing?
discussion.
Dist and forth.
Okay.
But he belongs in the discussion.
Yeah, but you know what, Dave?
Like Kyle Pitts?
Zach Earths?
None of these guys are available in my league.
What about the deep league guys, Dave Richard?
Starting a quarterback, you know that Jake Browning is going to be out there in a ton of
league's 98% available.
If you can't get your clopies on him, then look for Mac Jones, who's 89% available.
I thought Mac Jones looked pretty good.
for the 49ers.
It's actually shocking that Pearsall didn't have a good game.
I know that that was a player that Jamie and I went back and forth on a lot last week.
It was weird out, turned out.
But Mack Jones really played well, I thought.
And so if he's going to continue to get some opportunities, short term, I like him.
Rattler also has played okay through the first two weeks of the season,
and I think he's got more staying power than Mack Jones.
Chris Rodriguez, Woody Mark, we talked about those guys that were running back.
I am still stashing Breschard Smith.
in my deeper leagues.
He's a rookie running back for the chiefs.
And I can just hear, I can hear the rolling of the eyes from everybody out there.
Oh, here we go.
Another rookie that the guys are touting.
But they've got to find something out of their run game at some point here.
I mean, they're still using Cream Hunt almost as much as they're using Isaiah Pacheco.
He's a stash.
He's somebody in those deeper leagues that is worth stashing.
Wide receiver, a lot of names.
We can start with Troy Franklin.
I talked about him earlier.
He's getting a lot of target volume.
I don't think he's going away in Denver.
I think he's a pretty good receiver.
Elico Manor, Tontavian Wix, Isaac Tesla, Tori Horton.
Jalen Coker is still worth a stash, too.
He's halfway home from his IR stint.
He's going to eventually come back for the Panthers and be a good short area target.
He's a big slot for them, 91% available.
And Christian Watson is talking like he's going to be back sooner than later.
He's available in 92% of leagues.
You could stash him, especially if we've got those IR spots.
And then at tight end, there really isn't that much.
It's just, it's to Tavion Sanders.
The other tight ends that are available in deep leagues I wouldn't go after.
Okay, more names coming shortly.
Team name Tuesday real quick.
Boswell, that ends well.
Very good.
I never know how to pronounce the name of this old video game, but Ninja Jaden.
Is it Gaden or Giden?
I always said Gideon.
Gaden?
It's guided.
Positive.
It's guided.
Okay.
So Ninja Jaden is a terrible team name.
Thank you for playing.
Loser.
Bill and Tetz, parentheses.
his mom doesn't like it.
Excellent adventure.
A swift kick in the booty.
Remember when Dave mispronounced booty's name for some reason on Sunday?
That was so strange.
Remember?
It was two days ago.
This happened sometimes.
I know, but you made all the booty jokes.
Rishi Rice and Beans got me tooting.
Very good.
A little elaborate, but very good.
All right, I think I want to save the Monday night games for the very end of the show.
including our thoughts on Omari and Hampton.
I want to get into the waiver wire a little bit more.
First, give me a 0 to 10 on the dropometer.
Caleb Johnson, 78% rostered.
One billion.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'd go lower than a billion, but yeah.
Isaiah Pacheco.
Zero.
He's going to have a big game this weekend.
No, he's not.
It's a Joe Boo week, though.
If he doesn't, it's a problem.
I mean, the run defense is so bad.
It's a great matchup.
but just worried it's going to be Kareem Hunt.
They also have yet to play with the lead.
Matthew, will you stop counting the Giants out?
I mean, it's right in front of me.
Matthew Golden.
We should do some sort of bet, like Gators, Cain's, Chiefs, Giants.
Why would I, why would you even get involved in Chiefs Giants?
Are you just saying Adam is making bets across the board?
I'm very nervous about the Gators game, okay?
Oh, yeah.
You should really be shaking.
They're good.
They just keep beating themselves.
They're not good.
Well, that's coaching.
Well, yeah.
Matthew Golden, drop o meter.
That's what happened to the Cains for two years,
and then they figured out how to call games.
Two and ten-team redraft leagues.
I didn't hear the-12-team league.
Drop-O-Meter for Matthew Golden.
I'm still mad about the Cains blowing that game
against Georgia Tech two years ago.
It's a zero.
Trevor Lawrence.
zero
I don't know man
I mean he's got Houston
and San Francisco in Kansas City
and Seattle coming up
I would say in a 12 team league
he is a 4
Kishon booty
I would prefer to stash him
5
Stefan Diggs
zero
three
DeMario Douglas
10.
Eight.
It was very strange.
He barely played.
I mentioned this yesterday.
They basically were two tight ends for a lot of the game, barely went three receivers.
It was so weird.
They went two tight ends and they didn't throw to Henry very much at all.
Yeah.
And I don't know why they didn't try attacking the cornerbacks even more of the dolphins.
They really wanted to get that run game going.
Did you hear Vables on his radio show in New England, wherever in Massachusetts?
wherever he was, wherever he is.
Probably the same place.
About the Ramandre catch?
No.
So he said that play was designed for Trayvion.
They ran in practice for Henderson.
He said it was like they were struggling in practice.
They ran the play.
He hit the play.
And the whole, you know, tenor of practice changed.
Everybody was excited.
I don't know what I didn't do it for him in the game.
Henderson had a brutal game pass protection.
Terrible.
He really struggled.
Yeah, that was supposed to be a strength.
matters for Steventon moving for it sucks uh Hollywood brown dropometer you guys said you
don't really want to drop him I think he's pretty dropable if we're worthy coming back let's put
him out of five but it's it's a zero if worthy is out it's a five if if worthy plays and it could
be a 10 a week from now okay yeah so let's be patient with the practice reports for the chiefs
hunter henry nine uh four t j hockinson
You can move on from Henry to one of those guys pretty easily.
Yeah, I'm not dropping Henry for Jatavian Sanders yet, though.
Yeah, I mean, the disappointing thing for Henry was that Austin Hooper was so much more involved in week two than he was in week one.
T.J. Hawkinson.
No, not yet.
May have a better quarterback now.
I have Hawkinson in two leagues, and I want to sit him.
I don't know that I'll drop him, but I definitely will try to pick up someone else.
All right.
waiver wire the shallow league guys
Caleb Williams we're I'm assuming
you guys like Caleb a lot this week against Dallas
top 12 quarterback yeah
Drake May you like him against Pittsburgh
top 12
but uh top 15
and then there's Lawrence
against Houston
not a top 12 quarterback
okay
add in this order
Daniel Jones 1 for James Jamie's order
Jake Browning
Bryce Young
No, Rogers is three.
Aaron Rogers, and then Bryce Young?
Mm-hmm.
All right, Rogers is three because he's getting New England.
After that, he gets Minnesota, which has been kind of an interesting match-up.
But Young, you know, nice comeback effort yesterday or Sunday through 55 passes.
So where's it, if Aaron Rogers is your third priority on waivers and Bryce Young is fourth, where are they in the rankings this week?
Jones is a top 12 quarterback.
Browning is just outside.
Rogers, I believe, is 12.
Wow.
Rogers is 12th.
Wow.
Okay.
Bryce Young.
Bryce Young is near the bottom for this week.
But the next four games,
total, in totality, the schedule is good.
Atlanta, New England, Miami, Dallas.
Yeah, you're right.
It's a very good schedule for Bryce Young.
You got Tua at Buffalo.
That's a Thursday game, right?
Don't love him this week, but the next two games are good.
Next two games are Carolina.
No, Jets and Carolina.
Matthew Stafford.
Matthew Stafford's thrown for 245 and 298 yards in two games.
He's got three touchdown passes at Philadelphia this week, which can't be great, right?
No.
No.
And then the Colts.
Sam Darnold against the Saints
His schedule also coming up very favorable
Mm-hmm
Mm-hmm
Saints Cardinals
Next two games for Sam Darnold
They're gonna try to be a run heavy team
Russell which is not a surprise
Russell Wilson gets the Chiefs this week then
So the orders change a little bit
So this is where the backups come in
Oh like the Mariotas of the world
Yep
Tarad
So you'd rather have
mariotta than russell wilson assuming mariotta's starting uh i have wents first
just because of the potential longevity okay mariotta's not even guaranteed to play this week
just keep that right and you have browning first just in case anyone got confused browning is
and and mac jones too like i mean listen this is now uh i think four of his last seven
going back to his time with jacksville 21 or more fantasy points so
he's going to run the system.
I mean, look, he's going to give you
Kyle Shanahan quality numbers
if you're just looking for
what he can't do. And I don't think the Cardinals' defense
is one of the fair. The Cardinals' defense
might be without all three of their starting corners.
And their pass rush
is good. It's not great.
Cardinals have seen
101 pass attempts in two games.
It's insane.
So, yeah, so Mac Jones has Arizona.
Then he has Jacksonville.
It's really pretty good if he keeps that job
for the next couple of weeks.
Do you expect, you know, 18 or more fantasy points from Mariotta if he plays this week
against the Raiders, Wenz against the Bengals, Terad Taylor at Tampa Bay.
Marioita, yes.
The other two right at that number.
Taylor a little bit lower.
But Mario, like you said, the-
Wentz is right at that number, maybe a little bit below Marioada after that, Tarad after that.
You mentioned what Mario did in this offense last year.
He's going to use his legs.
And I don't think this Raiders defense, yes, they've played well.
But they're now short week cross-country.
I don't think it's a great setup for them.
Yeah, it's quite a trip.
I think it's a great setup for Bill.
Hmm.
All right.
No mention of Michael Pennix gets Carolina this week.
Any interest there?
I would mention Pennix.
I think that he had a tough game against Minnesota on the road.
I think he deserves a little bit of slack for that.
And the Carolina matchup should be favorable for him.
The only thing I want to see is
he's okay.
Which Pennix shows up
because when he had to make plays
in week one,
he used his legs.
He took advantage of Bijan
in whatever, however, Robinson in the passing game.
Mr. Robinson.
And then they ran the ball so effectively in week two
and Pennix as a fantasy quarterback wasn't great.
And so again, small sample size.
But in the three starts last year
and the two starts so far this year,
he's got one
say pretty amazing game
one pretty good game
and three just kind of game managing
and I don't know how much
of having to go out and win the game
he certainly could
you know in terms of
you know making plays with his arm
but
I think he's just kind of in the mix
with all these other guys
as opposed to standing out above them
and that's what took me
just so long
doing the waiver wire show yesterday
is like doing the notes
you say he's in the mix
there's so many guys
in the startable mix, you know,
that it could just,
it could be this way every week
where you could go to the waiver wire
and find a quarterback you like
just based on the matchup.
I don't know how it's going to turn out.
If Aaron Rogers goes out this week
and has a big game against New England,
then we're just going to be streaming guys
against New England all year.
We're going to be streaming guys against Dallas,
streaming guys against Chicago.
And there are a lot of just really good quarterbacks
potentially in the NFL this year.
And it's going to, it's going to be this like this.
It could be like this every week.
Maybe the dust will settle and it won't be like this.
But right now it's, you know,
So we should save this conversation for next July, and we'll see how Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen and hopefully everybody stays healthy and the guys that were drafted at the top.
This is the one position you can survive an injury.
Yeah.
And so you lose Joe Burrow, it sucks because there's not somebody you're going to find off waivers that's going to be Joe Burrow.
I'll end, if you want to end the conversation there, I get it.
You're not going to find Joe Burrow on waivers.
But you are going to potentially find Sam Donald or Baker Mayfield or in this year, Daniel Jones, or maybe Jake Browning, or maybe somebody, whoever you think it's going to be in this range.
And do you want to invest early in a quarterback?
That's a question you have to ask yourself.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's go to the running backs.
Cam Scataboo, 81% rostered and Bejal Tootin, 75% rostered.
These guys are making some good progress in their backfields.
Trey Benson and Brian Robinson, Jr. are obviously high in handcuffs,
but Benson's also fairly involved on a weekly basis.
And then you've got the commander situation, Jamie favors McNichols,
Dave favors Chris Rodriguez, but they have Giacori Kroski Merritt.
We're hoping that he's the guy that just excels here.
Blake Corum.
Blake Corum has a role in Shaw McVeigh wants it to be more of a maybe two-thirds kind of split
in terms of the snaps.
Do you want the quote again?
Sure. Yeah, this is what Sean McVeigh said about the Rams backfield, Blake Corum, with five carries, and he scored a touchdown at Tennessee.
McVeigh said he was really impressed with what Quorum did. And then here's a full quote. I was pleased with Blake. He's explosive. He's a good football player. I have a lot of trust in him. And then we'll continue to see that moving forward. So I thought that was good today.
And then you got Rashad.
He played 31% of the snaps. He actually had the edge inside the five over Kyron, four of seven snaps.
inside the five was that throughout the course of the game or just at the end of the
course yeah that's the whole game no but what he's saying because he scored that touchdown
super late in the game i don't know if it was he got most of his snaps right yeah like what do you
have the breakdown of the first three quarters of those yeah sure i can get that just give me a second
all right rashad white is another guy you could add taj spears could be coming back in a couple
of weeks tyler algir 48 and just while you're there like if you do not need a running back
and have an open roster spot with no IR.
Stash him.
And that's how I feel about Christian Kirk.
Hopefully he'll start practicing.
But I feel like he could have the most staying power
of these wide receivers that we're talking about.
Obviously, you can't count on him for this week.
But good grief do they need a number two wide receiver.
And maybe he can play one back.
One of the two.
What did you say?
Or an offensive line.
Yeah, or a running back.
I still think the buck.
I think the bucks let him score.
at the end there.
I love any time I get to use one of your gifs.
Miles Sanders is whatever.
He's four or five carries.
First two games scored a touchdown.
What about Kareem Hunt?
Any interest in picking him up?
Sure.
Yeah.
If he doesn't score, you're not going to be happy that you've got him.
I guess if you're stashing him in case Pacheco gets benched or hurt,
and Breschard Smith never becomes anything
and the chiefs do nothing else at running back,
that seems kind of narrow.
I'd be more inspired by some other players.
I've got your Kairn number, by the way, James.
Go.
First three quarters,
68% of the snaps.
No, what about inside the five?
What about inside the five?
Inside the five for the first three quarters.
Yeah, we were just wondering if Rashad White,
or sorry, if Blake Corum.
You're at three of four snaps inside the five through the first three quarters.
Okay, thank you.
Mystery solved.
Wow.
Wow.
Kyle Menangai is the clear number two running back right now for the Bears, and he played
about, I think, a third, 40 percent of the snaps, and he had eight touches.
Shallow leagues in wide receiverville.
Chris Godwin, could be back soonish.
You know, we were expecting about a four-week absence.
He started practicing.
Cooper Cup.
He started watching Abuka perform, and he's like,
hey, you know, my ankle feels okay.
Cooper Cup, nice bounce back there.
So if Cooper Cup were available and Joanne Jennings were available,
and Scadaboo and Bejal Tootin were available,
who you go, of those four names.
I'll throw Godwin in there.
Godwin, Cup, Tootin, Scataboo, Joanne Jennings.
Who's your favorite?
Tootin, by a long way.
Yep.
Followed by?
Jennings right now.
Jennings over Godwin.
I'm not believing in Cup.
And I probably go Scatibu running back.
I don't know why I'm scatibou.
I probably go Scatibu after Jenner.
Scadabababoo?
Yeah, I would go Scatibu over Cup too.
Kalil Shakir, they didn't throw much against the Jets.
But, you know, Josh Palmer is a guy that is, has a one more target than Shakir.
If you look at the Bill's targets through three games, or through two games, they've only played two.
14 for Coleman, 12 for Palmer, 11 for Shakir, 10 for Kincaid.
And obviously the views of Coleman v. Palmer are much different.
But another guy is kind of a deep league guy, Josh Palmer, 20% rostered.
All right.
So the wide receiver priorities are Wondale Robinson for Jamie.
Cedric Tillman, Rashid, Troy Franklin,
Jamie and Dave disagree on which Packers wide receiver to prioritize.
Jamie likes Wicks a little better than Dobbs.
Dave prefers Dobbs.
There is Christian Kirk and Ehrlich, Iowmanner.
Tori Horton, Hunter Renfro
But with Tillman
You know
Would you if I
How much is the
The potential of a quarterback change
Changing things for Tillman
If I told you Flacco
We're going to keep starting
Would he be ahead of Wondell Robinson?
No
I get let me
Let me
Counter your question with a question
How long is Russell Wilson starting?
The whole
the whole season.
That's a good call because I think
Dart will be more aggressive than
Russ. Although, look at
how Wandao was used last week. That was pretty
impressive. I think
it's not just
the quarterback. It's
he was 93 catches
last year and 140 targets. Like,
dable's going to give him chances to
get
volume. For Wando
Robinson, this was his career best game.
142 yards. He had never had more than
100. And also 16.2
yard a dot in his entire career his previous career high was 11.5 yard a dot so he's if they could use
him downfield a little bit more that'd be great but i think it was just a product of the cowboys playing
this pathetic zone defense the entire game and the giants and no pass rush uh but yeah again if
thomas comes back you've talked about this quite a bit in the last you know month of what this
offense does scoring wise and let's just say his a dot improves by
marginal not to what it was against the cowboys but just a little bit better and now his six for 50
becomes six for 60 six for 70 like we're talking about a very easy number of three ppr receiver
on a week to week basis yeah but i think personally that christian kirk is is a better version of
wanda l robinson but obviously that's that's assuming you don't have to start one of them because
you know kirk's not playing right now but i don't know i hope i hope kirk is good for you man you really
love this guy. I mean, I don't. I don't really love him, but I don't really love Wondell Robinson,
you know, but I think Robinson is 10 and a half PPR points per game. I mean, he's going to be
in the Giants Hall of Fame. Safe floor. I mean, Tommy DeVito is going to be in the Giants Hall of Fame.
I think if you're just, if you're looking at the list on YouTube and you're reading it and you're
listening to it, the names are Wondell Robinson, Cedric Tillman, Rishici, Troy Franklin,
Don Tamey and Wix. The other names, aside from Wondell Robinson, almost to a man, have
more upside because of what they can do from a touchdown perspective, from what they've done in
their careers, from maybe their quarterback situation, like there's a lot of ways to sort of look at
this. I'm sort of a little bit diving into the unknown here because it's two games of Russell
Wilson. The targets have been constant. So it's 18 targets through two games. That is a carryover
from last year. He had 140 targets. Then you have what Russ does for Robinson, at least in a two-game
both sides. One game was exactly the same
Wondell Robinson in week one. That's the
exact guy you got a year ago. Exactly.
Game two, you got a different version
in Wondell Robinson. And so
can we get somewhere
in between, probably still closer
to week one, but can
we get somewhere in between where
there's a few yards down
the field a little bit more? So again,
that 5 for 40, that 6 for 50,
that 11 PPR range
that he just lives in his entire career,
now becomes 12 or 13.
I'm willing to take the chance on that.
Sure.
All right.
I'm looking to see what his previous high was an A dot.
I just told you.
It was 11.5.
It was 16.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, it's okay.
16.2 yard A dot.
That's only the second game of his entire career with an A dot over 10 yards.
Usually it's like six yards.
So he was used very differently, Wondell Robinson.
I will go with him over Christian Kirk.
I think I'm being too optimistic here because the,
The Texans are a mess.
They're just an absolute mess.
We're not going to have time to talk about those games today.
We'll talk about them tomorrow.
But obviously, the offensive line is so bad.
And they have no run game.
And I think that hurts them.
They're in obvious passing situations.
And when you have a bad offensive line, it's not good.
So Christian Kirk's not going to fix that.
And you saw what Damika Ryan said about mixing last week, right?
No.
He basically was talking about him in past tense when he said what he's done for this team.
Yeah.
He may well may not play this year.
All right, Elic Isle Manor, you know, whatever.
He's not a bad option.
He's got 13 targets in two games and gets the Colts
who actually been pretty good against wide receivers
except for Troy Franklin.
All right, let's go to the tight ends.
And just, sorry, Josh Downs.
Would you pick up Josh Downs or Wondale, Tillman, Shaheed, et cetera?
I think if you're picking up Josh.
you're doing it with the hope that he becomes what he was a year ago and he certainly can get there
I mean you know you're you're looking at again signs of life in the in week two but until we see it
I think there's just more options with those you're going to see Josh downs dropped in a lot of
least question for my chat but I would go Wondale over him because oh sorry no I mean downs has a
Jonathan Taylor problem there's definitely going to be some games coming up where Jonathan Taylor just continues
to dominate and really restricts just how much they throw the ball.
Colts aren't going to need to throw the ball as much,
and that'll hurt Josh Downs already.
So I'd rather have Wondale.
But I do think that Downs is very talented.
At tight end, the shallow league guys are Kyle Pitts,
Dalton Kincaid, who's got to be,
I mean, we're not really excited about him, right?
But he is playing the Dolphins.
You are looking at the wrong version of the call.
Okay.
So it's Jake Ferguson and Zach Ertz?
Mm-hmm.
All right.
And Dallas Goddard, if he were available, how much do you like him?
I don't.
All right.
And we don't really like Kincaid, and you don't really love Pitts.
You'd rather have Joanne Johnson.
And Harold Fanon.
Okay, Harold Fanon, five targets.
He gets Green Bay this week, and they have been bad against tight ends.
Is Harold Fanon a top 12 tight end for you guys?
He's just on the cusp.
I mean, this is a tough matchup against Green Bay across the board for the Browns.
But you've got to like the usage.
I like the fact that his route participation increased a little bit.
They clearly want to get him going.
And how amazing would it be if they traded David Najoko?
To get Najoko to maybe a place where he could still be the guy that we hoped he would be,
and then Fanon just gets unleashed.
So you've heard a little bit of like, you know, maybe he's on a trade block.
I don't know where he would go to make some most sense,
but it's just hard not to buy into what Fanon could become.
Go back to his college home.
back to Miami
for David
Nijoku
that'll fix it
Darren Waller
by the way
I think has a chance
to at least practice
then they list them
as limited
not
easiest $5 million
ever made
probably not gonna
play on a short week
but
then there's
by the way
do you
do you drop Nijoku
for Joan Johnson
and or Harold Fannin
yep
I definitely do it
for Johnson
you could probably
talk me in
to do it for Fannin
Isaiah likely is someone that Jamie's been talking about stashing
and Dave's been banging the drum for Jatavion Sanders.
Any interest in a 49ers tight end against the Cardinals?
I think the fact that Farrell got the touchdown is not great.
Tom just had five targets, but yeah, I mean, we're talking deep leagues here.
Yeah, deepest of tight end premium leagues.
Oh, I know.
There is one.
George Kittle.
What do you mean?
He said interest in the 49.
Tenants, yeah.
Can I get killed?
Yeah, I'd take it.
DSTs, chiefs are at the Giants.
They do have Baltimore the following week, so it's the one-week thing.
Falcons get the...
Panthers.
Panthers.
Thank you.
Seattle gets the Saints.
Seattle's been very good so far defensively.
They have four sacks and four interceptions.
They get the Saints, then the Cardinals.
So Seattle might be a two-week thing for you.
Tampa Bay against the Jets.
They haven't been so great so far against Falcons and Texans.
they get the Jets, and then the Eagles, that's Tampa Bay, and the Colts facing the Titans.
One great game for the Colts, one bad game.
Titans have been a pretty good matchup so far.
Kickers, Spencer Schrader, Chris Boswell, John Parker, Romo, and Joey Sly.
All right, we're going to talk about Marion Hampton and anything else, Brock Bowers walking around,
running around with that knee brace on tomorrow's show.
I'm going to leave everybody with a really bad beat for me in the IDP League, where I have now
lost two games by a combined five points.
And yesterday, it was Omari and Hampton for Scott Fish versus Devin White linebacker
for the Raiders for me.
And Hampton was having such a bad game and that he fumbled at the end.
And we were tied.
Oh, no, I was down by one point.
And then Devin White got a tackle and we were tied.
And I was like, oh, my God, I'm going to salvage this.
I'm going to get a tie.
And then they changed the fumble to Justin Herbert.
instead of Omari and Hampton, and I lost by two points.
We have a similar situation in the podcast league
where right now we're sitting with a percentage point edge
with Hampton.
So if they change the fumble,
I just that correction, we lose.
Oh.
And I have one league where I lost 11.02 to 111.
Oh, my God.
I listen, stack corrections, baby.
Stack corrections.
Yeah, I have that in that league.
It's my longest running league, and they think I always do all the write-ups on the
draft recaps and all stuff.
So I sent a text this morning.
I said it's time to call on that favor for stack correction.
Wow.
All right.
Look at us.
Me, Heath, Jamie, and Dave are a combined seven and one in the podcast, pending a stack direction.
All right, folks.
Have a great day, everybody.
We'll talk to you tomorrow on Fantasy Compact.
