Starter sit for week 11. Let's get it going right now on fantasy football today in five
And welcome everybody. It's sunday morning. It's november 22nd, and you've got to get your line upset
This is fantasy football today in five a podcast that gets you caught up fast on the fantasy news and advice
You need to know follow us and stream us on spotify. I'm adam azer with heath cummings. All right, heath
We've had a few days to think about it. Now. How are feeling about Taysom Hill? Drew Brees is on IR. He's
going to miss at least three games. Two of them are against
the Falcons, but how are we feeling about
Taysom Hill this week?
The two days didn't help me feel more certain.
If he plays the entire
game as quarterback,
as they're indicating he will,
then I think he will be a borderline
number one quarterback
and a tight end that you start over anyone not named Travis Kelsey.
And if you can use him as a flex, he's most likely your flex.
There's some risk, but that's how I would view him.
Okay, so how about Taysom Hill versus Derek Carr,
Tua Tungavailoa, Ryan Tannehill, players like that.
You are right in the correct range.
I would start Carr and Tannehill over Taysom Hill, most likely.
I would start Taysom Hill over Tua, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz.
How about Matthew Stafford?
He is looking to play this.
He's likely to start this week.
So he doesn't have Kenny Galladay.
He doesn't have Danny Amendola.
He doesn't have DeAndre Swift, his best pass-catching running back.
The Lions are a bit of a mess right now going into the Panthers game,
who are also a bit of a mess with Teddy Bridgewater questionable.
What do you think about the Lions in general?
Yeah, Stafford is right in that same range as all the guys we were just talking about.
I would put him just ahead of Tua, just behind Taysom Hill.
And I've gone back and forth on Hill and Stafford, but he really does not have very much help at all in that offense.
As for the Lions running backs, I can't get Kerryon Johnson or Adrian Peterson into my top 25.
They are both sitting there right around 30. They are high-end flexes. I slightly prefer
Kerryon Johnson, but there's, again, a high degree of uncertainty when it comes to those two running backs,
not much floor,
but plenty of ceiling against a very,
very good matchup.
I wouldn't feel bad about flexing either Johnson or Peterson.
How do you feel about the Marvin's is Marvin Jones,
a top 30 guy is Marvin Hall,
a good sleeper.
Marvin Hall is a fine sleeper.
I Marvin Jones is a top 30 guy, but
not a top 24 guy. So he's a number
three wide receiver with who's
I still think better. And even with
all everybody gone better in non PPR than
full PPR, I just don't know that there'll be more than
seven or eight targets there. Most of the
season there hasn't been even when Galladay's been out.
Okay, so
if Teddy Bridgewater does not play today
and P.J. Walker is starting,
would you start Marvin Jones over the Panthers wide receivers?
I would start Marvin Jones over D.J. Moore.
I would still start Robbie Anderson over Marvin Jones,
especially in full PBR.
I think the targets will be there for Robbie.
And obviously you'd start Marvin Jones over Curtis Samuel.
Yes.
And so how does that change if Bridgewater does play? Do you move DJ
Moore ahead of Jones? DJ
Moore, yes. Curtis Samuel, no. Okay.
Mecole Hardman is back and
Sammy Watkins is out.
So I'm looking for some sleepers here. What do you think about
Mecole Hardman? What do you think about Demarcus Robinson
in this Sunday night game against
the Raiders? I like Hardman more
as a sleeper than I do Robinson,
but they're both guys that I would rather start than Marvin Hall.
Hardman obviously has the ability that he could get two targets
and still be a great start.
So I do think the Chiefs put up a ton of points in this game.
I believe they have the highest implied team total of the weekend.
And so you'd be just fine to start Hardman or Robinson
as a desperation flex.
Some of the players that I've been asked about the most in recent days are Giovanni Bernard.
There's hardly ever an answer where he's not one of the players to start.
Duke Johnson, Kalen Balazs, and then there's Clyde Edwards-Ziller.
And he is the trickiest one for me, Heath.
I just don't know what to expect.
His touches have been so low since Le'Veon Bell came on over.
So how would you compare Clyde Edwards-Ziller to the guys that were picked up off waivers,
Sivan Ahmed and Balazs and Giovanni Bernard and Duke Johnson this week?
I would start Kalen Balazs and Giovanni Bernard over Clyde Edwards-Hilaire. I would start Clyde Edwards-Hilaire just barely over Duke Johnson
and definitely over Savan Ahmed.
Ahmed, I've got just a little bit of concern about
with Matt Breida coming back.
And he hasn't really done much in the passing game at all.
So Ahmed really more in in that Adrian Peterson,
carry on Johnson range for me than he is in the Clyde Edwards,
Ziller Giovanni Bernard range.
And finally,
are you downgrading Damian Harris with Sony Michelle coming back?
Much like the Savan Ahmed thing.
Like I don't really think Sony Michelle and Matt Brita are going to leave
their team in touches,
but it's just another piece that throws a little bit more mystery into the situation.
So I had Damian Harris as a top 20 back in non-PPR, a top 25 back in full PPR.
He's down about five spots from where he was.
I think I gave 10% of the carries to Sonny Michel just as a maybe.
It could be worse than that, but he's still a top 24 running back in non-PPR,
more of a flex in full PPR.
All right, that's going to do it for Fantasy Football today in five.
Hope this was helpful as you get your lineup set.
Make sure you're watching CBS Sports HQ today and going on Twitch,
twitch.com slash FF today at noon Eastern.
All right, good luck in week 11, everybody.
We'll talk to you tomorrow morning.
