Who's trusting Gardner Minshew this week?
And is it actually Javante Williams week finally?
Find out right now on Fantasy Football Today in 5.
Yes, Javante Williams is going to get an opportunity today
against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tonight, in fact, against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Welcome to Fantasy Football Today in 5 on Sunday morning of week 13.
We're going to help you get those lineups set.
Adam Azer and Heath Cumming.
Where did you end up
ranking Javante Williams?
Well, it's a tough thing
because I think I moved him
originally to 18,
but then you have to decide
do you move him ahead of
Zeke and Pollard
who already played
and all of that nonsense.
But he is in the mid-range
number two running back spot.
The reason he's not quite
in the Jamal Williams
or Alexander Madison range in terms of fill-ins
for starting running backs who have gone down
is I still think that Mike Boone's going to play a bigger role
than the backups in Detroit or Minnesota are.
So I would anticipate Williams seeing a slightly bigger role
than what Melvin Gordon did,
but Mike Boone's still filling a slightly smaller role than what Javante
Williams was doing.
Maybe 60% of the carries 10,
12% target share solid number two running back for Williams.
Yeah.
I think people are going to be very excited about him.
So I just want to stay on that for a second.
When you look at a struggling player like Saquon Barkley or a guy who's
been playing well for fantasy,
but not IRL and Miles Gaskin in that same game?
Would you rank Williams ahead of Gaskin or Sanders?
Currently in non-PPR.
Yeah, and then I also wanted to throw Miles Sanders in there.
So go ahead with them.
Yeah, in non-PPR, I've got it Javante, Saquon, Gaskin, Sanders.
Okay.
In full PPR, I have it Saquon, Javon, Gaskin, Sanders. Okay. And full PPR, I have at Saquon, Javante, Gaskin, Sanders.
So I do think, and again, we talked about this earlier in the week,
I could be wrong, but I would expect that Mike Glennon
playing the full game is going to lead to a few more touches,
including in the passing game for Saquon.
Okay, how about the Eagles offense in general?
Man, who is not excited to see Gardner Minshew
back in the NFL?
I moved them just slightly more pass heavy
because some of their designed pass attempts
turn into runs because of Jalen Hurts.
And Minshew does a little bit of that,
but not near as much.
And you obviously have to give Sanders and Boston Scott
or whoever the two running backs they play
are a higher share of the rush attempts. I don't think Gardner Minshew will run the ball 10 times as Hertz has been doing so
it's a slight boost for the running backs it's a slight boost for Devante Freeman and Dallas Goddard
but a very slight boost Devante Smith yeah Smith is still a borderline number two Goddard's pretty
much a most must start tight end I'm going Sanders over Scott for the moment they're both borderline number two. Goddard's pretty much a must-start tight end. I'm going Sanders
over Scott for the moment. They're both
borderline number twos. And Gardner
Minshew is a solid number two
starting quarterback in a 2QB or
super flex league. I would start him
over the rookies. I'd start him over
Jimmy Garoppolo, Teddy Bridgewater, to
Rod Taylor. We've got a lot
here, especially in this Rams
Jaguars game.
Looks like Beckham's going to play,
but the running backs are a question mark here.
Daryl Henderson and James Robinson,
they're both questionable here.
Now, you know what to do if Sonny Michel
is the starting running back.
You start him for sure.
Carlos Hyde, that was 11% rostered.
So if you're desperate right now
and you can wait until 4 o'clock to make a decision,
Carlos Hyde could be in line for some work.
I don't know if he'll be good with it,
but he'll get some work.
But what do you think?
I mean, James Robinson, Daryl Henderson managers,
what should they be doing and thinking?
I moved them behind pretty much
all of the starting running backs
who are playing at one o'clock.
It's kind of the way that I'm handling it.
Now, they're ranked there
assuming you don't have Sonny Michel or Carlos Hyde.
If you have Sonny Michel or Carlos Hyde,
and again, I think it's important, Hyde's rostered in 11% of leagues side if you have sony michelle or carlos side and again i think
it's important hyde's rostered in 11 of leagues if you have daryl henderson you could go get carlos height as a backup option the problem is if henderson doesn't play and robinson does you
might be in a bad situation so i'm kind of trying to stay away from those guys anytime you enter a
game injured especially for henderson seems to be a bigger chance that you might leave the game
injured as well.
If there's no Daryl Henderson,
Sonny Michel's a top 12 running
back. If there's no James
Robinson, Carlos Hyde is
probably more in that
Damian Harris, Ramondre
Stevenson, Devin Singletary,
Rex Burkhead, high-end
flex range.
Okay, man, I got a lot of roster decisions to make right now.
This is going to be a stressful morning, Keith.
Real quick, are you starting any Seahawks running back
with Adrian Peterson going to play today?
No, I have Rex Burkhead, Devin Singletary, Kenyon Drake
all ranked ahead of all of the Seahawks running backs.
And there have been a lot of touches between David Robinson,
David Johnson and Rex Burkhead and Tim Duncan the last couple of weeks.
And Philip,
and Philip Lindsay and a big shot,
Bob.
Yeah.
Yes.
So what about Rex Burkhead with David Johnson out?
I like,
you know,
I'm going to rank him a little lower than i project him
in the projections i've got him right behind davante freeman and boston scott at number rb27
but i'm gonna go ahead and put damian harris and rwanda stevenson ahead of him because i think they
have more upside so he's gonna be right around rb30 um just one spot ahead of devin singletary
in both formats okay let's go to some questions in the chat here.
Devante Freeman or Hunter Renfro?
I'll go Hunter Renfro in both.
Could be Devante Smith, by the way, too.
I would still go Hunter Renfro in both.
Okay, and Rubio reminds us that Jalen Hurts has not been ruled out yet.
That is true, but someone on the Eagles website reported that he was going to be out,
so we're expecting him to be
out. Boston Scott or Mike
Williams, full PPR?
Man,
I think I'm going to go with Boston
Scott. We just have to watch that
one close because he's had a non-COVID
illness that's kept him
out of practice, and so I'd be very interested
in really watching for
any information before kickoff about how the Eagles
are going to distribute touches.
Marquise Brown,
Terry McLaurin,
or Jamar chase standard scoring.
You have to sit one.
I'm sitting McLaurin.
All right.
That's it for fantasy football today in five.
Good luck.
Everybody.
