Let's get into the playoffs to wrap up that first round by on Fantasy Football Today in 5.
We're going to help you set your lineups right now.
It is Sunday. It is a big day.
We are fired up for three straight days of big-time football.
Adam Azor and Heath Cummings here on Fantasy Football Today in 5.
Follow us and stream us on Spotify as we get you caught up with the news and advice you need to know
in the fantasy world every single morning.
All right, Heath, let's start with the Ravens.
We don't exactly know who's in and who's out,
so if you're setting your lineup on Sunday morning
and it's 8 o'clock in the morning right now,
there might be updates later in the day,
but how do you go about your Ravens versus anyone else?
One thing I did see was that Vegas had released a number on it finally,
and it had the Ravens as pretty significant favorites,
so I wonder if that means they think Lamar Jackson's going to play.
As of right now, I'm not planning on having Lamar Jackson.
I am planning on starting J.K. Dobbins.
I'm not planning on having Mark Andrews.
And I'm pretty much treating Marquise Brown like the boom-bust flex he is.
All right.
Ben Roethlisberger on Monday night, this popped up.
He's questionable.
Are you confident that he is going to play?
What do you do if you have to start someone today or Roethlisberger tomorrow?
I would, I mean, it depends on who that someone today is.
If it's Mitchell Trubisky, I'm probably just starting Trubisky.
If it's Taysom Hill, I'm probably just starting Taysom Hill.
If I have to drop down to someone like Tua Tagovailoa,
Tungavailoa, or Drew Locke,
then I might just go see if I could pick up Alex Smith and wait it out.
Okay. All right. That works.
Miles Gaskin and Tua Tagovailoa look like they are going to play today.
If they're both in, I don't think you're going to be excited to start Tua.
I know that.
But what about Gaskin?
I mean, it's a great matchup for him and maybe a nice opportunity.
We just don't know what the workload will be against Cincinnati.
Well, the injury report had DeAndre Washington as doubtful,
Zavon Ahmed as doubtful.
I think their only other running back might be Patrick Laird.
So I think he's going to get as much workload as he can handle.
And with their starting two,
they're going to want to hand the ball off as much as possible.
So I am starting Myles Gaskin.
He's a top 12 running back for me.
Oh, wow.
So you'd start him over like Jonathan Taylor?
That might be the breaking point.
I've got Taylor really close to top 12 this week as well.
Let's talk about the Eagles.
Would you start them over Miles Sanders?
Let me start with that.
I would start both Miles Gaskin and Jonathan Taylor over Miles Sanders.
All right, what do you make of this Jordan Howard thing?
He's going to be active today.
I don't think it probably matters too much.
I mean, they've been trending a little bit towards
they want to share with their running backs.
But Miles Sanders really hasn't made his hay this year by grinding out four yards of pop
20 times. He's done it with enormous plays and he still has the enormous play potential. I'm still
starting him as a mid range to low end number two running back, but I would start David Montgomery,
Antonio Gibson, Clyde Edwards-Ziller, Jonathan
Taylor, guys like that over Miles Sanders. So Zach Ertz, we see the Eagles say they're going
to be smart with Zach Ertz. They're facing Green Bay, and we're going to be watching that on the
home team watch party presented by Lowe's on Twitch, twitch.com slash FF today. Come join the
fun 4 p.m. Eastern. Are you going to be smart with Zach Ertz? Are you going to, well, what is smart
with Zach Ertz? Is he a starter? Is he a sit? Are there any streamers
that you'd start over him? It was
much easier to say he's definitely just
a sit. And then we got the
John U news was out and
Mike Gasicki is now catching passes from
Tua instead of Fitzmagic.
So it's not quite as easy, but I'd like
to sit Zach Ertz. I would
start Jordan Aikens over
Zach Ertz. What about Ferkser and Gasicki? I've got
Gasicki higher than Ertz in non-PPR, Ertz in PPR,
and I have Ertz over Ferkser. You are a little hesitant with
Chris Carson this week, and it seems like Carlos Hyde is going to play against the Giants.
What are your thoughts there? Yeah, it's just I think we're going to look at pretty
close to a timeshare.
There's only been one running back since week five and only two since week two that have
rushed for more than 60 yards against this Giants defense.
You've had success catching passes against them, and he might catch a couple of passes,
but I don't feel confident in him as more than a low-end number two.
I would start Miles Sanders over Chris Carson as worried as I am about Sanders.
Phillip Lindsay looks like he's going to play, and Todd Gurley, same thing here. Number two, I would start Miles Sanders over Chris Carson as worried as I am about Sanders.
Phillip Lindsay looks like he's going to play,
and Todd Gurley, same thing here.
So I know you're going to, you know, Melvin Gordon is the lead guy there.
Are either Melvin Gordon against Kansas City or Todd Gurley against the Saints worth starting this week?
And would you start a Lions running back over them
as we don't expect DeAndre Swift?
I am more likely to, of that group,
I would say I'm most likely to start Todd Gurley
and then Melvin Gordon and then the Lions um I don't want to start Philip Lindsay really just
you're gonna have to hope he breaks one long run I think because they're using Gordon in the goal
line and they don't really throw to Lindsay much so I would go Gurley then Gordon then
carry on and Peterson.
Okay.
Last question.
Devante Booker.
Where do you have him ranked?
I've got him projected like fifth, but I think I dropped him down to eighth or ninth in the rankings just to try to be more reasonable.
But this is a fantastic situation.
I think he's going to get close to 20 touches.
I expect him to score a touchdown.
I'm starting Devante Booker.
I said I had Miles Gaskin top 12.
I'd start Booker over Gaskin.
Right. Yes. I'm fired up. I've been recommending I said I had Myles Gaskin top 12. I'd start Booker over Gaskin. Right. Yes.
I'm fired up. I've been recommending him to a lot
of players, a lot of fantasy players.
Let's get a big day from Devontae
Booker. Thanks to Heath Cummings. Thanks to all of you for
listening. I'm Adam Azer. Make sure you listen
