Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, everybody. Let's get those lineups set. Who's starting Peyton Barber in week two? This is Fantasy Football Today in 5. I'm Adam Azer with Heath Cummings. Boy, when a guy is announced as the starting running back, you usually see more people run to the waiver wire to Adam. But Peyton Barber is only 6% rostered.
Starting point is 00:00:26 And no, I am not dropping Justin Jefferson, everybody. For Peyton Barber, you can stop asking. Heath, Barber will start. And, you know, according to Gruden, he's going to get a lot of the carries and they're going to keep Kenyon Drake in that passing downs role. Do you buy that against the Steelers?
Starting point is 00:00:40 I guess you're not starting Barber. Are you starting Kenyon Drake? I, yeah, I don't have Barber in Are you starting Kenyon Drake? I don't have Barber in my top 48 running backs, so I'm going with the flow of everyone else. I don't know why we would ever ignore what John Gruden says, but I presume
Starting point is 00:00:55 it's about a 50-50 split in terms of carries, but Drake gets the passing game role and that will be more valuable. I bumped the Raiders. They were extremely pass-heavy in that game against the Ravens. 70% of their offensive plays were passes. I bumped them up a little bit more pass-heavy, which lends itself more towards Kenyon-Drake production
Starting point is 00:01:16 and not Peyton Barber production. And besides, I project Kenyon-Drake at about 4.5 yards per carry. Peyton Barber is about half of that. So I'm treating Drake in full PPR like a low-end number two running back. So the last team to face the Steelers, and that's who the Peyton Barber, Kenyon Drake-led Raiders are going to face today, was the Buffalo Bills. And Devin Singletary didn't get a lot of work, but was efficient on the ground.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Now Zach Moss is going to play. So what do you make of the Bills backfield? I would rather start Kenyon Drake than a Bill. I would rather start both Bills than Peyton Barber, but I don't, I'm still mostly treating it with an expectation that Devin Singletary is the lead running back. Zach Moss will spell him and probably play in short yardage. And, um, I, I view Singletary as more of a low-end flex. Moss is a complete desperation play. I did pick him up on waivers a couple of places where he was dropped after week one.
Starting point is 00:02:14 I think he should be rostered, but I don't want to use him. Okay, how about the 49ers and the Ravens? Who's your favorite? Who are your top three running backs in these two backfields 49ers at the eagles ravens sunday night against the chiefs right now i have it elijah mitchell then tyson williams then latavius murray then trey sermon i i don't think anyone should have a great deal of confidence about any of the things i just said none of these running backs are in my top 25 for this week. All of them have top
Starting point is 00:02:46 12 upside of everything went right. But I expect a little bit more of a committee than what we were originally thinking with Mitchell. Hopeful that sermon can
Starting point is 00:02:55 can build towards something. I would start Mitchell for sure out of this group. I would start Mitchell over all the running backs we've talked
Starting point is 00:03:01 about so far except for Kenyon Drake and full PPR. What about James Robinson? Would you start him ahead of a 49er or Ravens running back? Yeah. Yeah. I would,
Starting point is 00:03:13 um, I would start Robinson ahead of Mitchell, at least in PPR and non PPR. I might go with Mitchell just because of the touchdown chances. And again, this is another situation where we're kind of hoping that urban Meyer does something that he didn't do last week, but surely he saw Carlos Hyde run in a real game now. And we can go back to giving the ball to James Robinson. Sure. Hope so. All right. Let's talk about some
Starting point is 00:03:33 wide receivers or tight ends. You have any other difficult start sit calls, anybody that you're getting a lot of questions on this week? I mean, I think it's, it's tough to know as far as the same offenses that we talked about before. Dallas got cleared up because Michael Gallup's not going to play. With Tampa Bay, it's really unlikely that all of the Buccaneers wide receivers are going to be good. Godwin's the only one I have ranked as a must-start. I have Brown over Evans right now. But I think both those guys are more like either boom as number one wide receivers or bust like
Starting point is 00:04:06 Evans did last week so those guys are a little bit risky the Dolphins got more interesting with Will Fuller not playing this week because I do think they're going to have to be pass heavy I prefer Jalen Waddle because I think he'll get those targets to closer to the line of scrimmage does the return of Jamison Crowder impact Corey Davis at all? And are you starting or sitting Corey Davis? I'd prefer to sit Corey Davis, rookie quarterback going up against Bill Belichick. That doesn't generally work out well for the rookie quarterback. Crowder may have had a small impact on the projection just because I would expect him to earn more targets, but Braxton Barrios got like 18% of the targets last week. So it's not like there wasn't already a role carved out
Starting point is 00:04:45 for what Crowder is going to do. All right, I'm going to just ask you some quick questions here from our viewers on YouTube. PPR Gaskin or James Robinson? Gaskin for me. Nick Chubb or Jonathan Taylor PPR? Wow, that is a good problem to have. I have them for this.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Seriously, flip a coin. It's probably a gold coin if you're that rich to have both Chubb and Taylor, but I've got them projected. I've got Jonathan Taylor projected for 0.02 more fantasy points. Oh my god. I cannot read that.
Starting point is 00:05:16 You've got to change your avatar, bro. Corey Davis or Emmanuel Sanders? Corey Davis. YouTube. A lawless land of YouTube. Chase Claypool or dj moore dj moore jamal williams drake or brandon cooks and then we'll end on this and you tell me all right give me your answer first jamal williams drake or brandon cooks i'm going with drake with drake okay what about um this deandre swift injury are we doing anything about this? It was a full go on Saturday. The expectation
Starting point is 00:05:45 is that both he and Jamal Williams are good to go. I am starting them. If you've got a roster spot, you might pick up somebody like an MVS or one of those Lions wide receivers because Tyrell Williams is not going to play. So that way you'd at least have a backup
Starting point is 00:06:02 spot. Try to get Swift into your flex if you can and then pick up one of those guys. All right, that's Heath Cummings. I'm Adam Azer. Thanks a lot for watching and listening to Fantasy Football Today in 5. And good luck, everybody. In week two, you'll get a win.
