This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Up to the races and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Welcome to the show.
It is Thursday, September 17th.
It is time to get into eight AFC home games for week two.
And they would be Cincinnati at Houston, New Orleans,
Baltimore. Pittsburgh at New England. Are we starting Drake May, differing opinions there. Jacksonville at Denver?
I hope you all remember what happened the last time Jacksonville went to Denver. The Colts are at the chief.
Screenbase at the Jets. Raiders at Chargers, Philadelphia at Tennessee. Could be one of those old
startem all sitem all games. I'm Adam Azer. Hello, Heath Cummings. Good morning. Good morning, Adam
Azer. Jamie, would you like to hear a great stat about the Jacksonville Jaguars?
None after you just disrespected the Titans, but sure.
They have one.
This is from CBS Sports, our research team.
The Jaguars have won nine consecutive regular season games over that span.
They have scored the most points per game in the NFL and allowed the fewest points per game in the NFL.
They look great right now.
You know, it's funny because I think there's some sentiment that they're a Super Bowl team,
which, you know, will have to be proven.
but it's a pretty good stretch.
And I think the AFC just looks so loaded right now at the top.
You know, with the Chiefs being back and the Bengals defense looking good and Baltimore
looking good.
And, you know, now you got Jacksville in the mix.
It's going to be fun.
And they are underdogs on the road at Denver, two and a half point underdogs.
Interesting.
Hey, real quick, Heath, got the game tonight.
Bill's Lions were fired up for it here.
But the Lions are going to be without two starting.
offensive lineman, guard Christian Mahogany, tackle Blake Miller.
Any concerns, any downgrades?
I haven't downgraded anybody.
I think the Lions, well, that's not true.
The Lions point total went down just a little bit.
They're now, I think they were four point underdogs to start the week.
They're now five and a half point underdogs.
So that was a small downgrade.
Jared Goff is tied for me at QB12 with Joe Burrow.
And you'd love to say, you know, well, it's easy to just say Joe Burrow, but he also
apparently isn't healthy.
So I think golf's in that range where it's justifiable to start him.
The game could still be a shootout, but if you get a little bit nervous and you want to sit him, there's options.
Although there's not options on the waiver wire.
You better have drafted two quarterbacks.
And Mahogany barely played last week for what it's worth.
And they struggled a little bit offensively, but he played, I think, 11 snaps.
And I've got a real quick, I know this is a starter sit episode, but I think I finally figured out the best way to do the fantasy playoffs.
love to get a quick opinion.
Oh, my gosh.
Real quick.
Very, not controversial.
The answer is no.
12 team league, six teams make the playoffs.
Top two teams get a buy, right?
Standard stuff.
You got four teams left for the last two weeks of the season.
Instead of matchups, all four teams play two weeks and the highest scoring team wins.
So the two teams that have the best record don't play the second week?
They don't play the first week.
So you said all four teams play two weeks.
Yeah, yeah.
Week 15, those two teams have a buy, and teams three through six play, you know, head-to-head
matchups, whatever.
Then you've got a final four instead of having semifinals where the one plays the four or whatever,
all four teams play for two weeks and the two highest scoring, the highest scoring team in
weeks 16 and 17 combined.
So you want to play a head-to-head league for 14 weeks and then best ball in the playoffs?
Why not just have a best ball league?
It's not best ball.
You still have to set a lineup.
You're not just, it's not like if you make the wrong lineup decision, you're fine.
Okay.
So how many?
Head to head, head then points.
Yeah, then point.
This eliminates the randomness as, oh, I had this one bad week.
You got to go out.
How many, how many leagues do you commission?
Four-ish.
Okay.
You should try it in one of them.
And then when everybody quits the next year, you'll get your wish.
You don't have as many leagues.
All right, you know what?
I'll move on.
It's a starter sit episode.
I would love to know what people think about this.
No, you should do it.
Do it.
You say these things all the time.
Every year you come up with some idea to revolutionize fantasy football and you never put it into action.
Do it.
See if people like it.
I'll propose it in one of my leagues.
I think it's still early enough to propose it.
I think people get frustrated.
They had this great team.
They ran into a buzzsaw in the playoffs, whatever.
They had a bad week.
Just do it.
Just stop talking about it.
All right.
Leave comments in the chat.
I'll check the comments after the show.
I'd love to hear what you all think.
Okay.
What do we do about the Nico Collins injury?
Should we be picking up Daman Claiborne for the Minnesota Vikings with Jordan Mason on IR?
We're going to talk about that in a little bit.
We'll talk about Lab McConkey and Zay Flowers.
If you have Thursday night decisions, you might have to go with the Thursday night guys.
But right now, let's get into players we love brought to you by Stitchfix.
If you're like me and clothes shopping isn't your thing, Stitchfix has you covered.
Get styled today at Stitchfix.com slash football.
Three players, Jamie loves this week, Baker Mayfield against Cleveland, revenge.
Chuba Hubbard at Atlanta and Parker Washington at Denver.
Let's talk about Baker at Cleveland.
Yeah, you get the revenge game narrative.
I like the fact that he's at home.
He averaged over 20 fantasy points per game at home last year,
despite it being a bad season for him.
I thought Emeka Buka looked good.
I thought Chris Godwin looked good.
I just didn't think that they got their fantasy production
that you were hoping for.
And so if Baker does what he did early in the season last year in this game,
which I think he will because I think they're going to have the ball a lot,
you just saw Trevor Lawrence have four touchdowns against his defense.
I think Baker could be a top 10 fantasy quarterback.
Chuba's a little bit tougher to trust,
but it seems like he's going to be the lead running back for at least the short term.
We'll see if it's for the long term.
But played significantly more than Jonathan Brooks.
My guess is the Ease Brooks back into it.
He's not a slam dunk.
I was looking for somebody that I love that's not necessarily an easy start.
And I think Chuba qualifies just because I don't think this Atlanta team is going to be very good
with their quarterback situation being what it is.
So again, time of possession should favor the Panthers.
Bryce Young carves them up annually in Atlanta,
four and one in Atlanta in his career.
And last two games that he's been there,
he's just shy of, I think, 700 yards passing in the two games combined.
So Chuba, I think, just gets an opportunity to be a number two running back here.
And then Parker Washington, I think there's some concern about the Denver defense being great,
which it is.
But Washington's start was part of his great run last year was a 19-point game against the Broncos.
Last season, he's coming off a strong game.
This one is an easy one.
Just start him.
Don't even think about it.
Yep.
And he plays enough in the slot.
You don't have to worry about Sartan shadowing him.
If you have to worry about anybody with that,
it's Brian Thomas Jr.,
which is pretty sure what happened last year,
Brian Thomas Jr., who has his shoulder injury, by the way,
but I think he should play.
He was shadowed by Patrick Sertan for at least a good chunk of that game.
If you're watching on YouTube,
there's a number that just stands out to me that I can't wrap my head around,
and it's the 57% start percentage.
Like, what more does he have to do to crack your starting lineup?
So when you look at that start percentage, you know, that's maybe just from last week
and people haven't set their lineups yet, what did you think?
No, that usually would be a guy coming off a big game that had all this hype that had a strong finish
would probably be in the 80s, and I would still say, okay, it's maybe a little low.
I'm curious to see what it is.
It's really correlated to the number at the bottom, which is a sports line rate because
projections low.
Okay.
All right.
And, you know, maybe people are spooked by Denver.
But, you know, again, that's more of a Brian Thomas Jr.
issue, we think.
We'll talk about that game in a little bit.
Chuba Hubbard or Jalen Coker.
Who's a better start?
Oh, boy.
PPR, I probably go Coker, but hopefully he's healthy.
All right, Heath, players you love this week, Jordan Love at the Jets,
Aaron Jones against the Bears and Luther Burden at Minnesota.
Yeah, this looked like a new Packers offense in week one.
They had a 31.3% run rate, which was third lowest in week one.
They have been amongst the league leaders in that over the last couple of years.
I don't believe that this Jets defense is anything to fear.
I'm a little bit more optimistic, I think, than everybody else on Marshawn Lloyd,
having a little bit better game.
It was funny, and that split looked a lot worse
than the first half than it did for the whole game.
But I still think this is a team that's going to have more success
passing the ball than they are running the ball right now.
And Love has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL
over the last couple of years.
He just hasn't got to throw it.
And now it looks like he's got a couple of wide receivers and Tucker craft that he trusts.
He's a top 12 quarterback, and I'd start him over Gough and Burrough, who we talked about earlier.
I'm sorry.
I may have missed it if you saw.
said it. Did you mention how pass heavy they were in the first half when they were leading?
I know. Okay. 71% pass rate or something like that in the first half. It wasn't just because they
were trailing or anything. They were leading for much of that game, the Packers, that is.
Aaron Jones against the Bears with Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury. Yeah. And I think
what we're probably going to see is maybe DeMond Claiborne work in just a little bit. I don't think
we're going to see the same split, though. And the real problem in this.
backfield has been that both of these guys just get nine to 11 carries and maybe they catch a
pass or two and it's hard to be a fantasy starter.
Only they both scored a touchdown last week.
I think we get 13 plus carries from Aaron Jones in this game, probably three or four targets
as well.
We know how good the defenses that are facing.
They're not good.
And so I think we could see Jones.
I'd rather start Jones than Chubbard.
I think they'll have a similar role.
and I think what Hubbard did last week
might be similar to what Jones does,
although Jones has a nose for the end zone
when he's healthy.
Jamie, how about you, Hubbard or Aaron Jones?
Jones, yeah.
I think it's an old ranking
of pre-Jordan Mason injury.
He's in the top 20 for me,
I think right around where Heath has him as well.
One of my favorite stats,
so he's played the Bears 17 times in his career,
and that's factoring in some games
where he left early and wasn't the full-time guy
or wasn't the dominant
running back for the Packers' early in his career.
So 17 times he's played the Bears in his career.
He's hit 10 PPR points or more than 14 of them,
and he averages 14.8 PPR points against them in his career
with some huge spike games.
It's been like just massive games against Chicago.
He loves facing this team, just different versions of this team, too, obviously,
because he's seen them at sometimes their strength defensively.
It just is funny how it lines up that Jordan Mason misses the Bears game
and here's Aaron Jones once again.
Maybe his final two times that he's going to play this team.
It should be fun for Aaron Jones.
Yeah, he's a top 20 running back.
I would take him over.
Okay.
And Luther Burden at Minnesota.
So Ben Johnson, by the way, with the Lions going up against Brian Flores was amazing.
I mean, he just killed Brian Flores.
Last year with the Bears, not quite as much success, but there's plenty of good history there.
Six times, I believe they've faced off as coordinators or play callers, let's say.
So you like Luther Burden to bounce back this week, Keith?
Yeah, I pretty much left Colston Lovelland.
and Luther Burden in the same place that I had them ranked last week.
And it's funny because you mentioned it.
Ben Johnson's had a ton of success against this defense.
We generally think of the Vikings as a defense.
You might have to avoid for some positions.
No defense gave up more points to wide receivers in week one than the Minnesota Vikings.
I think there will probably be some big plays.
I'm not sure Romadunze is 100% healthy yet.
Expect both Luther Bird and Colson Lovelland to bounce back,
but nobody's questioning starting Loveland.
people are questioning starting burden, you should start him.
Do you think O'Donze is still a sit?
I would still sit Roma Dunzee, but if he is a full participant in practice later in the week,
I didn't even see what his practice designation was yesterday, I'm assuming.
Then I'd be more encouraged as a number three.
Yeah, that's interesting.
I didn't see that one either.
He was...
I think he's in full.
He was full?
Okay.
I don't even see an update here.
That seems like one.
There would have been an update one.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Jamie loves Baker Mayfield, Chuba Hubbard, Parker Washington.
Heath says Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, Luther Burden.

That is stitchfix.com slash football.
Please check it out.
It's really awesome.
I think you're going to like it a lot.
Players to avoid,
Heath says,
Harold Fanon Jr.
at Tampa Bay.
Bejal Tootin at Denver.
And interesting enough.
That Ken Walker performance.
And Josh Downs at Kansas City on Sunday night.
So we got Fanon, Tutin,
Downs.
And you could kind of just like use these guys.
to as placeholders for a group, I'd say Harold Fannin and Kyle Pitts, not with this quarterback,
but I don't want to drop them. I think there's a decent chance that we get Shador Sanders
starting at home next week against the Carolina Panthers defense, and I'm telling you to start
Harold Fannin. So, but I don't, I don't want to start with. Sean Watson's had a lower
tight-in rate of target than the other quarterbacks around him since he got to Cleveland. That
continued last week. Fanon was complete afterthought in this offense. Like I said, I don't want to
drop him yet, but I don't want to start him. Tuton, I think, I'm glad you said, it's funny after
what Ken Walker did. We've seen zero evidence that Bachel Tootin is Ken Walker, or anything close,
anything close to Ken Walker. And I would just say that this is where I'm the outlier this week,
is Parker Washington's pretty much the only Jacksonville player that I want to start against Denver.
that yes Jacksonville killed them last week they couldn't stop the run last week I think Denver at home is going to make a statement this week and I don't expect a high scoring game for Jacksonville Kansas City killed them last week Ken Walker killed them last week
I mean the white receivers did basically nothing jack Jacksonville also killed Denver last year I said that part for sure I think you said Jacksonville killed them last week yes and Kansas City
he killed him last year because I said two things.
All right.
I'm sorry.
Sorry.
I was just clear.
I think he just said last week twice.
I could be mistaken.
Okay, whatever it was.
You definitely said Jackson.
I know what you meant.
I was trying to clarify.
Yeah, we know you meant.
Okay.
So, yeah, I think, I mean, I'm excited to talk about Trevor Lawrence because you guys are
very different on the rankings with Trevor Lawrence.
Tootin.
Jamie, do you agree about sitting Tutin?
I guess you have him pretty similarly ranked.
I had Tootin as a top 24 guy before the Vikings news.
So Aaron Jones moved ahead of him.
So I think he's a low end number two running back.
Look, it's a good week for the position.
I did think that Tutin ran well last week.
You know, the 22-yard catch is something that's hard to expect if Allen is healthy,
you know, their third downback.
But I expect this to be an offensive game for a game where the Jaguars' offense does perform.
I just don't think Denver's defense is going to be as dominant as it was a year ago,
especially with Cooper out.
So when Cooper's back, they may change some things.
But for right now, I think just Axwell's offense is clicking,
and Tutin is a high-end flex or a low-end number two running back.
So I'm not scared of him because of Denver's defense.
defense, certainly after what we saw last week.
Also, we didn't really notice this because it wasn't at the goal line, but the Jaguars had
five third down and one or two situations, third in one or third and two.
Chris Rodriguez was in on four of them, and Bejel Tootin was in on one of them.
So that's still a big concern here for Bezal Tootin, that whole trapback scenario.
Heath, the last guy you had is Josh Downs at Kansas City.
Would you extend that to Alec Pierce as well?
Yes, I have Alec Pierce ranked the highest of the cold.
wide receivers, but it's just because of his ability to score on one play.
I think if you're going to throw a dart on the Coltswide receivers, just hope that
Alex Pierce catches one long pass.
I don't think that anybody in this offense in the passing game is going to have sustained
success.
Man, Sir Delane, rookie cornerback for the Chief's first round pick he is expected to play this
week.
I'm glad the Chiefs are back on prime time.
We don't get enough of the Chiefs on primetime.
Right.
I think the Giants have two in a row, though.
Yeah, there's only two teams that get Sunday night and Monday night to start the year.
Giants and Chiefs, here we go.
All right, Jamie, your three to sit are Quinn Sean Judkins at Tampa Bay, RICO Dowdle at New England,
Marvin Harrison, Jr., and his three targets last week against Seattle.
Yeah, we can start there.
He actually played well against the Seahawks in two games last season.
But, you know, now if there's Kendrick Bourne is really going to be in the mix and a fixture in this offense,
it's obviously a new coach.
I think you want to give Marvin Harrison another week if you can to see if you want to start him.
just given the fact that this is still a really good defense.
We'll find out just with the secondary and some of the injuries that they're still working through.
But I'm just not excited to start Marvin Harrison right now, nor is anybody else, understandably so.
For the two running backs, I think you look at Judkins,
hopefully, hopefully, with Dylan Samson out, they use him a little bit more in the passing game.
That does not seem to be the expectation because of either Rahim Sanders or the addition of Dula McLaughlin.
But you've got to hope a little bit.
And I think this is going to be one of those situations where I thought the Bucks run defense was actually pretty good last week.
I know Chase Brown had a good fantasy day, but that's more because I think the product of that offense, this just feels like a broken team at this point.
And I don't know how much you want to buy into it.
So it's not like I'm far off from saying he's a starter.
I think you use him as a flex.
He's obviously better in non-PPR than he is in PPR.
He really just needs a score touchdown.
I don't think he's going to have a big day running the ball in terms of his yards.
And in the case of Rico Dowal, we know what this Patriots run defense has been.
whenever Milton Williams on the field.
The split is not ideal to see both these guys getting touches.
I just don't want to start either one if I can avoid it.
If I have to pick one, I'm going to go with Jalen Warren,
just based on what he did in the passing game last week.
So I would like to avoid the Steelers' back foot if I can,
just because the Patriots run defense is still very much a dominant force.
And I think it's going to be a very low-scoring game.
All right, we're going to take a break here.
I just want to promote CBS Sports HQ because CBS SportsHQ deserves it.
Okay, it's on your CBS Sports app.
You can watch it for free.
It's 24-7.
streaming sports coverage. And, you know, I know a lot of people listen to this show are our age
in your late, late 20s to early 60s maybe, but a lot of you were like, you know, grew up watching
great sports center shows and kind of fell in love with sports. And that's gone, right? We don't
get that kind of sports coverage anymore unless you're watching CBS Sports HQ. It's how it's
supposed to be. Okay, we're not going to spend 30 minutes talking about the Cowboys. All right.
It's great coverage of like every major sport.
And if there's fantasy angles on it, there's gambling, all that,
please watch CBS Sports HQ.
If you're a sports fan, you will not regret it.
All right, we'll be right back with the news updates here.
How worried are we about Joe Burrow?
And then we'll get into the games after this.
My companion for this summer season has been Z biotics.
Let me tell you why.
Just headed out to a concert at Pier 17.

What a show.
I got home at 3 a.m.
And I realized 8 a.m.

What am I going to do? I got a big match. No worries at all. I took Zbiotics the night before,
had a few drinks, woke up the next day like nothing happened, got to that course at 7 a.m., warmed up,

Joe Burrow has soreness.
I saw a tweet that maybe he had a brace on his shoulder.
Is anyone concerned about that?
Or is that just the internet getting the best of me?
I don't like the fact that all of the Bengals are kind of hurt already again.
Yeah, I mean, my personal opinion is that Jamar Chase did not really look like Jamar Chase in week one.
Right.
I don't know if I'm right about that.
But he just didn't obviously had a terrible week.
So yeah, it's, it's annoying.
And they're facing an angry Houston Texan defense.
that is a little injured.
But Joe Burrow,
we're going to preview that game,
but there's Joe Burrow.
He says he's going to play.
Kyler Murray's in the concussion protocol.
Drew Locke is going to start this week.
Sam Darnold has a glute issue,
hopefully going to avoid IR.
Cooper Rush, right now,
looks like he's going to be the quarterback
for the Falcons this week.
Tua didn't practice.
Michael Panics, Jr., don't think he's ready yet,
but we'll keep an eye on that.
We know that's a huge one.
Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury.
Did anybody want to pick up to Mon Claiborne?
Not yet.
Deep release.
I thought you spent a little bit too much fat.
I did. I spent, I meant to change it and I fell asleep.
I spent $8, 8%, I think is more like a 4% guy.
But he's one injury away for like a 31 year old or whatever, however old Aaron Jones is from being pretty relevant.
From sharing with DJ Dallas.
Yeah.
I don't think so.
I don't take DJ.
Like, yes, sharing, but being the preferred.
Like maybe just being the early downsback and DJ Dallas being the passing downs back.
The passing downs back.
Yeah, I agree, but that's fine.
Or a trade happening.
Alvin Camara expected to play this week.
Travion Henderson practiced in full.
We'll preview that game.
Sean Tucker practiced in full.
And, you know, look, we still don't know.
That's the big question right now for Bucky Irving.
If Sean Tucker's the goal lineback, it'd be very annoying.
If he's not, probably going to be a great year for Bucky Irving.
R.J. Harvey, they didn't officially practice because they had the Monday night game,
but Harvey was listed as out of practice with a hamstring issue.
We'll keep an eye on that.
Two wide receivers that right now, we don't know, Ladd McConkey and Zay Flower.
they both miss practice.
Based on the rankings,
you guys are more optimistic
about Zayflowers playing this week
because he is ranked
and Labiconchi is not
in for week two, as of now.
And Nico Collins has a hamstring injury
and he really might miss this week's game.
Apparently they don't think it's serious,
but week two is in jeopardy
according to Adam Schaefter.
Go ahead.
The strangest report that I've seen,
they don't think it's serious
and they immediately wanted him to see a doctor.
Yeah, I don't like that.
He had to go get testing Nico Collins
for the hamstring.
He missed two games last year.
One of them was a playoff game.
Xavier Hutchinson either tied for the team lead or just led the team in targets and in both games.
Is Heath, is there a Texan receiver or tight end that you think should be at it?
I mean, Dalton Schultz should already be rostered.
And Dalton Schultz is a good streaming option this week if you need him.
He went from maybe the most difficult matchup against tight ends last year to definitely the easiest matchup against Titans.
last year.
Very strange.
And this is probably just a fluke,
but I feel like I have to mention it.
He had five combined targets in those two games on,
86 pass attempts for C.J.
Stroud in two games without Nico Collins.
But I think, yeah, look at the more recent
transient eight targets last week, Dalton Schultz.
Alec Pierce practiced in full, which is great
because he was limited last week.
Jalen Coker was limited.
We expect him to play.
Cooper Cup was limited.
And Tori Horton practiced in full.
Maybe we'll see him this week.
week at Arizona.
Michael Pittman limited with a foot injury.
A lot of guys are going to be limited on Wednesdays.
That's probably just one of those whatever situations for Pittman.
Jalen McMillan Macmillan practiced in full.
Dejohn, Stripling, expected to miss about 10 weeks.
And Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury, but he should play.
Juan Johnson missed practice with an illness.
He should play.
Jake Tonjus, unfortunately, out for the season for the 49ers.
Brock Bowers and Trey McBride both missed practice.
McBride should be just fine.
It was listed as rest slash back.
Brock Bowers, on the other hand,
not ranking him yet, right?
No.
No, we don't expect him to play.
Okay, we're not expecting Bowers at this moment.
What was I going to say?
You love my playoff idea?
No, I don't dislike your playoff idea.
I just want to see you actually do one of these things
that you talk about all the time.
Me too.
I have this wonderful idea that you never do.
It's hard to implement.
It's your league.
Hard.
Do it.
So any major injuries on defense that we need to know about?
We got a couple of big players for the Eagles that miss practice.
Cooper de Gene who expects to play.
And Jalen Carter.
The Seahawks might get safety, Nickyman Worryback.
Chargers defensive tackle, Tier Tart,
mispractice and defensive back Elijah Moulden mispractice.
A.J. Terrell for the Falcons,
their number one quarter, he mispractice with a shoulder injury.
I have a feeling he's probably.
He's probably fine because he left the game briefly in week one and then came back.
And Carlton Davis, Patriots, a very good cornerback for them.
He missed practice as well.
One question for each game.
Here we go.
We'll find out today also about Aaron Donald.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
Please sit another game.
Cincinnati's at Houston.
Are we cool with the Bengals passing game, Heath?
I'm starting Jason Higgins.
Burrow is a very borderline starter.
And I'm not quite there yet with Mike Gisicki.
By the way, just back to the injuries real quick,
someone asked about D'Andre Swift.
He was limited with knee and ankle issues,
but I think if he's limited, he's probably okay.
But yeah, we'll keep an eye on D'Andre Swift.
Gisiki didn't run that many routes.
He had like a 40-something percent target per route run rate,
which is not repeatable.
I sent you guys that stat, I think it's 26 games in a row for the Texans.
They have not allowed multiple.
wide receivers to score 12 or more PPR fantasy points in 26 straight games.
Do you think it happens this week?
I hope so.
Yeah.
I mean, everybody starts these guys, I guess.
I know.
All right, New Orleans at Baltimore.
Jamie, start or sit, Tyler Shuck.
I would prefer to sit him, but he's, you know, at this point with no buy weeks,
I think when you get to a quarterback that's probably in the 16, 17, 18 range, he's probably
in the starting conversation.
So he's coming off a very strong stretch of games.
It's not just that he played well last week.
He's been, I think it's like six of his last seven, seven was last eight going back to last year of 20 or more fantasy points.
So there is a track record here of a quarterback that's been delivering.
That said, we saw Baltimore's defense look really good last week aside from the opening drive.
And that was a Jonathan Taylor touchdown.
So I don't think you have to start Chuck.
I would like to roster Chuck.
And if he has another strong game here, then I think he's going to be in the conversation to be a weekly start.
Tyler Shucker Joe Burrow
Burrow?
Berrow.
Heath?
Burrow.
Okay.
All right.
This is where the controversy starts.
Here we go.
We've got a lot of it right now.
I think we always do in week two.
Yeah?
Okay.
Yeah.
Pittsburgh at New England, start or sit,
Drake May.
Heath?
I am going back to Drake May.
I mean, he's not, I guess, at eight,
I'm not sure he's just entirely a must start,
but pretty close to a must start.
He was QB3 last year without A.J.
and with Stefan Diggs playing half of the snaps,
I think he will find a way he's going to run
and probably score between four and 10 points with his legs.
And the Steelers defense is good,
but it's not one that I feel like I have to run away from.
Jamie, you have him 18th.
Dave's right in the middle at 13th.
He's is at 8 on Drake May.
Sit him?
I just don't like what I see right now.
And it goes back to last year.
Granted, a lot of it has been against some of the best defenses in the NFL
because it was the playoff.
But his last six games, he's averaging just 17 fantasy points per game.
17.7 fantasy points per game.
It's eight touchdowns and seven interceptions over that span.
The whole idea of why we loved Drake May even more this year was because of A.J. Brown and Romeo Dobbs.
And it couldn't have gone worse for what happened to those two guys last week, aside from Dobbs also getting injured, but not having AJ Brown and Dobbs looking lost.
He is 100% correct.
He was great last year without those two guys.
He did have digs, even in a limited snap share.
So I'm hopeful that Drake May bounces back.
He did a good game against them last year in week three.
I just think that even though the Steelers defense wasn't tested to its normal degrees last week because it was Cooper Rush,
this is still a very good defense on the other side of the ball.
They're going to put pressure on Drake May.
This is a little bit of a discovery game for him.
Can you trust him coming off of this?
Because if he's going to struggle in tough matchups against good defenses,
you're going to have a hard time playing him, especially while AJ Brown is out.
So my guess is, looking at it, you know, we, we can.
can only go by what start percentage tells us.
And start percentage tells us that people are running away from Drake Mays.
The 69% started for a guy that was drafted as a top five quarterback at the minimum.
So for me, in the leagues where I have Drake May, if Jordan Love was available, I'm starting
Jordan Love over him without even questioning it.
So Baker Mayfield, I would start over him.
I have Tyler Shuck ranked ahead of him.
Yes, Mr. Viper, I would go with both.
Two questions from the chat were Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love or Drake May.
And Jamie's, I'm guessing, different answers than he.
Now, you do love Jordan Love, Heath.
Do you like him better than Drake May?
No, I've got Love at 11.
So I'll start May.
And you're going to start May over Baker Mayfield.
And part of this is, and I don't know what the, off top of my head, what the total is expected to be.
This is probably going to be one of the more low-scoring games of the week.
It's 41.5.
The Patriots, though, I think their number is 23.
So they're projected, their implied totals about a point in a half higher than Jacksonville at Denver.
I know he's going to say Drake Mae.
Jamie, Drake May or Bryce Young?
Yeah, I moved Bryce Young to 17.
Wow.
Okay.
And I'm going to read this typo here because their typos are fun.
Drake May or Patrick Mahoney?
Mahomes.
Mahoney.
And I will say, like, I don't generally look at this too much, but I was curious.
So when it went to look, last year, he scored 23 fantasy points against the Steelers.
Did not have a wide receiver top 20 yards.
Yeah, it's the rushing, right?
He's got to have to do something with his...
Well, he didn't have a rushing touchdown either.
Oh.
There's somebody else we're going to talk about a little later in this game that I'm pretty excited about.
Okay, okay.
All right, we won't talk about Drake May anymore.
That is the Drake May discussion.
Jacksonville at Denver, let's go through the rest of these games quickly here.
We'll get, and then we'll break them down, obviously more in depth.
Jacksonville at Denver.
How many wide receivers, Jamie, do you feel comfortable starting in Jacksonville at Denver?
One.
I would start two, but one comfortable.
Parker Washington is the comfortable guy.
and Jalen Waddle would be the other one.
Okay.
All right, Indianapolis at Kansas City.
Heath, how many wide receivers do you feel comfortable starting?
One.
Kenan Allen?
And it's a more, for me, it's a more definitive one than the prior game.
I like Jalen Waddle a lot more than I like any of the other wide receivers in this game.
What about Parker, Washington?
No, I think I have it.
Rice and Washington for me are like back to back.
And then Waddles, the clear number of three.
three between the two games and I'd like to stay away from everyone else.
Okay. Green Bay is at the Jets. Jamie, are we going to get a bounce back from Marshawn Lloyd?
I hope so. You know, I agree with Heath that he has an opportunity here to perform better than he
did last week, mostly because of the defense that he's facing. I know the Jets defense looked good
last week. It was the Titans. They still allowed five yards per carry to Tony Pollard for
UIPC for Life guys. This should be a game where they have the ball considerably.
and I hope they try to get their run game going.
And I hope this is the guy they try to get their run game going with.
So I still think Jordan Love, this is if I was like how I would sketch out this game or, you know,
outline this game for me, ideally it would be throw to score or run to win.
And so let the passing game dictate the tempo early in the game and then use your running game to sort of put the game away if it goes as according to plan based on how the Packers should operate here.
So I think we're going to get a lot of panic on Marshaun Lloyd this week for two reasons.
or going into week three for two reasons if it doesn't go well.
One, can you trust him because he didn't have a good game?
Two, we're probably getting Josh Jacobs news soon at some point.
So we may see Marshawn Lloyd on the waiver wire quickly if he does not perform well on this matchup.
So I'm hopeful, but more of a high-end flex than a must-start running back.
Yeah, I wouldn't call a must-start, but just the one thing that gave me encouraged,
he had a 62% share of the team's rush attempts.
So if they are ahead like we think they're going to be in the second half,
we could
he could be okay
he could be okay
that's Marshawn Lloyd
how would you compare him
heath to this next guy
Raiders at Chargers
Quentin Johnston
if there's no
Ladd McConkey
I'm going right back
to Quentin Johnston
in fact more than right back
I'm ranking them a lot
higher than I did last week
I think he's a borderline
wide receiver two
and maybe the best
boomer bust
wide receiver three
I also want to go
add Trey Harris
just in case. Eagles at Titans. Jamie Start them all, said them all?
Basically, Hertz, Barkley, Devante, Goddard, Mustarts, Titans. I think Goddard's really the only one that I see.
I feel like there's a big difference with you guys. Last I checked, I think he was like fourth for Jamie and tenth for Heath, something like that on Dallas Goddard.
Does that sound right? That sounds right. Okay. So we're going to start him over Kyle Pitts. I
assume. Oh, yeah, and Harold Van.
How about Sam Laporta tonight or Goddard?
I like Goddard better, but...
Be LaPorta for me.
I don't know how many people have that decision to make.
Okay. Isaiah likely at the Rams or Dallas Goddard?
Likely.
Dalton Kincaid tonight or Goddard?
Gotter, but I like both.
Ooh, I have Concade one spot ahead of Dallas, Goddard.
Michael Mayor or Goddard?
Goddard.
Mayor for me.
All right. Cincinnati at Houston. Let's do it.
as I mentioned, Texans haven't allowed multiple wide receivers to score 12 or more points
in the same game since week 13 of 2024, 26 straight games.
They have not faced a lot of really good tandums of wide receivers.
There aren't that many to begin with.
We're the best.
Can you have any examples?
I would say last year it would be Devante Adams and Pooka and Nakua.
Okay.
I could go through the list, but I don't know if people care.
No, that's fair.
I just want to know because, I mean, it's a lot of Tennessee in there and Indianapolis in there,
and Jacksonville in there.
Yeah, I was going to say, like playing in the AFC Salazar.
helps for your defense.
Yeah.
Because Jacksonville hasn't always been what they are now.
Okay.
So anyway, just your general, I think everyone's going to start
Jamar Chase, but Jamie, for Burrow and Higgins,
your general enthusiasm level for them for this week.
I mean, look, Higgins didn't score a touchdown last week,
but he still, I think, looked okay
and is probably the healthier of the two
because of Chase coming off the knee injury
that he suffered in camp.
You don't love that Burrow is not 100%.
you don't love that he's taking out of defense that, you know,
struggled last week.
That being said, this offense, when it's right,
there's not many defenses that will slow them down or make you concerned.
So I'm not going to the waiver wire to replace Joe Burrow,
and I'm not sitting Jamar Chase or T. Higgins.
So unless you're just, you know, absolutely loaded at your, you know,
wide receiver or flex positions, 10 team leagues being more the case.
So I don't know.
I don't think we're getting a huge Joe Burrow game.
So there is reason to downgrade him.
but again, I'm not replacing him with Baker Mayfield or Jordan Love or anything if I don't have those guys already on my team.
Okay, how about Jared Gough?
I would still start, bro, especially with the offensive line issues.
Unless we get another bad practice report today.
Okay. Heath Gopher, bro.
I literally have them tied in the projections.
It probably will come down to which Lions offensive Lion men play tonight.
Well, two of them are out.
Two. I'll go burrow.
Okay.
So how about T. Higgins versus David Montgomery.
One guy coming off a bad game, one guy coming off a three touchdown game.
Who would you flex?
Non-PPR, it's easy.
In half and full, I probably still go Higgins.
I just, I'm very curious about this Bengals run defense.
I thought they looked really good last week, and Bucky Irving just had a lot of great plays.
We know David Montgomery's not as shifty as
as Bucky Irving, so we're going to get
maybe another 20 for 60
and if you don't get the multiple touchdowns,
when Shock movie scores won, remember, he's a Cincinnati guy
and he beat them up last year in Cincinnati
or last year or two years ago as a member of the Lions.
So I'm sure this game means a little bit more.
Oh, that's the game where they had him throw a touchdown, I think?
I think so, yeah.
Because his sister was in attendance.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was a very emotional game.
That's a great point, yeah.
So, like, I'm not sitting David Montgomery
but I think there's a higher ceiling for Higgins if things go right.
Especially, look, if you believe that Chase is not 100%, it wouldn't shock me if Stingley's
probably going to follow Chase.
So, you know, Higgins might have the easier path.
Stingley did not follow more last week.
It's so frustrating with the shadowing.
I think I said this last week.
The only cornerback where I feel like he's almost a lock to shadow a great receiver is
Sertan.
The other guys, it's like sometimes they do.
Sometimes they don't.
I would guess Gonzalez shadows D.K. McCabe have this week.
Yeah, I think so, but I don't think he shadowed JSN last week.
Different.
Different.
They are.
Okay.
So Houston, let's see.
Nico, if he plays, I think so we're going to start him.
Stroud is a sit.
Montgomery.
Stay on Montgomery for a little bit because you're going to start Chase Brown.
And we don't like Mike Kosicki, not yet.
Again, he only ran 46% of the routes.
So we'll start, we'll go.
back to Montgomery. Montgomery or Bejel Tootin?
Montgomery. Montgomery. Montgomery or Scatibu?
Scadababoo.
I think I have scataboo.
Okay, they're pretty like similar to me.
It's funny thing is it might be Montgomery and PPR, Scatibu, and none.
Yeah. Yeah, what are you?
Yeah, what are you? Three catches in Montgomery last week? He split the third down reps
evenly. I've got Scatabu one spot higher.
Okay.
what do you think about Jalen Knoll and Hutchinson and these guys if Nico's out, Jamie?
Put the Spider-Man meme up with the Patriots and the Texans and say,
okay, figure out who the best pass catcher is when the tight end is probably the preferred option for both.
I would lean slightly toward Hutchinson.
I would not be surprised if it's Noel because I think he's got some upside.
And then you'll get more opportunities for Kishon Booty.
So it's really such a wildcard of what it could be.
I just feel like there's a connection between Stroud and Hutchinson,
and that's the kind of player that he will lean on a little bit more.
So none of them are like, oh, my God, must-starts.
Like I picked up Hutchinson for $12 and $1,000 budget guillotine league.
You know, for end of bench, maybe, you know,
so many flexes that you start in that format week, too.
Like, that's the type of league I would be starting him in,
unless this is a multi-week injury for Nico Collins,
which it doesn't sound like it,
then you want to just stash one of these guys and speculate.
So for me,
it would come down to most likely Noel or Hutchinson,
and I would slightly lean Hutchinson.
Heath, how do you feel about Dalton Schultz this week against the Bengals?
He is the most borderline tight-in one.
I almost feel like I should move them up a couple of spots,
but we still have quite a few tight-ins that,
despite week one not going great,
I like quite a bit.
But he had a 22% target share last week, had 106 targets last year.
The Bengals were the easiest matchup for Titans last year.
We haven't seen for sure that that's going to be the case this year.
But he's very close to a start.
I'd start him over pits.
I'd start him over Fanon.
I would start him over Kittle also.
Houston DST, start or sit?
I would prefer to sit them, but I don't want to drop them.
So I'd probably just start them and carry one.
Not going to drop them, not going to carry two.
All right, here we go with chat questions.
Burrow or Nix?
Burrow.
Burrow or Dart?
Still burrow for me.
Burrow for me.
Burrow or Stafford?
Still burrow for me.
Stafford.
Higgins or Parker Washington?
Higgins.
Parker, Washington.
Chase Brown or Ashty.
Chase Brown.
Yep.
Burrow or Jordan Love.
Love.
They're back to back for me right now, Burrough.
Jalen Waddle or T. Higgins. Higgins.
Montgomery or Giovante Williams?
Javante.
Yep.
Okay. Thank you for the questions.
We're going to take a break.
We've got seven games to go.
It's going to be a long one today.
We'll be right back on fantasy football today.
One of the things I'm going to do this week is look at players whose roles have changed
or showed that they changed in week one.
Obviously, things can change from there.
But here's one guy, Mark Andrews.
We look at New Orleans at Baltimore.
Mark Andrews, 26.1% target per route run rate, much higher than it was in any of the last three seasons.
Last two seasons, he's averaged four targets per game.
Mark Andrews had a 79.3% route participation rate in week one.
It was less than 70% in each of the previous two seasons.
So that is good stuff for Mark Andrews.
Yes, sir.
This is one of the biggest will he play or won't he play splits in the first half.
Mark Andrews had an 18.8% target per route run rate.
That's when Zayflowers was healthy.
Okay.
In the second half, Mark Andrews had a 42.9% target for route run rate.
Okay.
His increase in usage was entirely dependent on Zayflowers being out.
Well, there's another injury, too.
What's the injury?
Jacoby Lane.
His increase in targets, yes.
At least I think he was still running the same amount of routes,
which is good.
At least he's on the field more.
than he was the last two years.
So, yeah, Mark Andrews or Dalton Schultz?
Well, Andrews.
Is Zay Flowers playing?
Okay, that's your answer?
Yeah.
Jamie, how about you?
Yeah, I think with Lane's absence,
we hopefully get the Mark Andrews touchdown
as opposed to the Jacoby Lane touchdown last week.
All right, keep this game simple.
Start, Jackson, start, Henry.
Zay Flowers, if he starts,
if he plays, he's a must start, I assume.
If he's playing Hurt, then tune in Sunday morning,
and we'll talk about it. You just heard about how we feel about Mark Andrews.
Is there, if Dave Flowers is out, is there anyone, Rashad Bateman or Jamie or anything like that that you'd be in?
How would you compare that to Xavier Hutchinson? Yeah, the same thing. You know, deep league dart throw of hopeful.
Lamar Jackson was asked quite a bit about Rashad Bateman yesterday with, you know, you never like to hear that with Flowers banged up.
But there's, again, there's another opening here because of Lane's injury. So there's going to be some opportunities for everybody else.
but Bateman was basically the cardio guy last week.
Just run down the field a lot and don't get any opportunities.
So Olave's a start, Velae.
Devon Velae or David Montgomery.
Montgomery, but it's close in PPR.
Devon Bailey or Brian Thomas Jr.
Veyle.
B.J.
Okay.
I am very curious to see what the Saints do in this game
because, yeah, we've already talked about it.
Ravens defense was really good in week one.
Is this just going to be a tough matchup for anyone?
And not just that, but they're probably going to run a third as many plays as they did in week one, the Saints.
And so you should probably expect six targets for Devon Bailey instead of nine.
And that's, I hope he scores a touchdown flex.
Got a couple of valet questions here.
Vailet or Marshawn Lloyd?
Lloyd for me.
Velae or Jalen Waddle.
Still Waddle.
How do you guys feel about Travis A. Chan this week?
Number two, running back.
Yeah, I'm kind of back to where I was in draft season on him.
He's definitely a top 24 running back,
but he's also one of the top 24 running backs I'm least excited about.
And now he's maybe playing a good defense too,
although they didn't have a lot of success against the run last week, the Ravens.
I don't kind of like, I view the Travis A. Chan, Jonathan Taylor comparison,
and similar to how I view Bachel Tootin and Ken Walker.
I don't think that's the same thing the Ravens are facing this week.
So he played 59% of the snaps.
Kendra Miller played 29% of the snaps.
So that at least was good,
even though they had the same amount of carries.
You just hope that is not a three-way split this week.
Yeah, I know.
And we did have Donaldson playing,
CJ Donaldson playing as kind of a third downback for them last week.
Hopefully just Camara takes that job.
Okay, and Tyler Shuck, we already talked about in the one question for each game format.
Shuck is 15th for Jamie, 12th for Dave, and 18th for Heath.
Would you start Tyler, Shuck, or Drake May?
I don't think I asked that.
May.
Shuck for me.
May Shuck.
Tyler, Shuck or Bryce Young?
Chuck.
I think I have Shuck.
Yeah.
Shuck or Stafford?
Stafford.
Oh, Joanne Johnson.
Forget about him.
John Johnson or Mark Andrews.
Who's the best tight end in this game?
I would go, Joanne Johnson, but close.
Does A Flowers play?
Okay, fair enough.
Joanne Johnson or Michael Mayer.
Mayor?
Mayor.
All right, let's read some questions here.
We got Olave, Parker, Washington, Christian Watson, Travis H.N, H.
E.N.
And Burden.
Olave, Parker, Washington, Watson, A-chan, Burden.
Who sits? Pick one.
Half-P-R.
Burden for me.
Watson and A-chan are my two lowest-ranked.
I think I would sit, Watson.
Veilet over Debo and Lloyd for a flex?
I would go Debo, Vele, Lloyd, in PPR.
I would go Lloyd, Debo, Vele.
Andrews or Joan, we just answered that one.
Travis A-chanter-V-V-E-Lay.
We're going to go A-Chan.
Velae or Marvin Harrison, Jr.
Vailay.
Morf.
Pick one, A-chan, Chuba Hubbard, or Aaron Jones?
In half PPR, I would go with still A-Chain.
It would be Aaron Jones for me.
And last one, Shuck or Herbert?
Herbert.
Herbert.
See what happens with Lab McConkey.
Okay, fair enough.
How do you feel about the Ravens' DST?
similar to the Texans because their schedule coming up is amazing.
So I would not want to drop them if you can carry two.
It's not a bad move to go get the 49ers or the bucks.
I think the Saints offense is good.
So I think their score.
Low end starter.
It's a pretty good week for DST.
All right.
Well, that means it's not going to be a great week for offense, I guess.
Pittsburgh at New England.
Well, we get some of the memory we had last week with the crappy teams playing the crappy teams.
Now we have the crappy teams playing good teams.
Good.
All right.
All right.
Yeah.
Might as well use the crappy teams against the good teams.
Pittsburgh's at New England.
The Steelers, they won 20 to 3,
20 to 13, pardon me.
They threw 40 passes.
They were fifth in pass rate.
They were actually eighth in pass rate last season,
but ran the fifth fewest plays.
Still slow-paced, but...
I think this game, or the Steelers' offense in particular,
is one of the most difficult for the underlying data
versus the actual performance.
Because, like, what they did offensively
and what they specifically with DK Mac's,
Keff having the second most air yards in that game is awesome for him, but the performance sucked.
And the running backs, Rico Dowdell played a lot more snaps, ran a lot more routes, but the performance
sucked. And do they go away with from what they were planning on doing coming into week one
in week two just because it didn't work? Because if they do that all season long, I think it's good
news for D.K. and Doughtall.
Yeah, Dave was watching the tape of this one, and he told me, I guess I didn't realize
that said, they basically just alternated possessions, Jalen Warren and Rico Dowdle.
So it surprised me that Dowdell's snap count was so much higher.
As far as Metcalf goes, there were three defining plays of this game and three reasons
why this game wasn't a bigger blowout.
One was a throw to the end zone where it was like a lot of contact, no call.
Metcalf couldn't haul it in.
one was a deep ball down the sideline
where AJ Terrell 100% got away
with the pass interference
Yeah, just grabbed his arm.
Ridiculous.
And that should have been a big play.
And one was just a flat out drop
by D.K. Metcalfe, and that should have been a big play.
So if they convert two of those three,
it looks a lot different, I think.
And Metcalf has a really big game.
So with that said, and everything you just said,
are there any Steelers that you want to start in this game?
Not with any confidence at all,
but I'm still starting DK as a wide.
receiver three and I still have Warren and
Dowell ranked pretty close to where I did last
week. I think your thought
we kind of got both. Like I talked about
how I thought with Mike McCarthy they were going to be
throwing down field more. They did that.
But your thought that Aaron Rogers
throws so much to his running backs also
proved true. Warren and Dowdell, I think, had
nine combined targets.
So it was encouraging
for all three of them. I think they had
11 targets. I think 11. Even better.
They both had five or six. And that
And that kind of, obviously it's not going to happen every week.
But a lot of deep balls and a lot of short balls, bad for Michael Pittman.
All right.
So, yeah, I mean, I got worn in a few leagues.
I'm going to flex them.
I just think he's going to catch a decent amount of balls in PPR.
Give me like a little floor there.
But it's a flex.
Yeah, that's kind of what we're looking at here.
We're looking at flexes.
Jamie, who's a must start in this game at any position on any team?
I'd still start remandre.
I expect the Patriots to be very conservative.
Their defense is great.
They're going to be able to control that side of the ball
because I still think the Steelers' offense work in progress
and not as good as their defense still.
So if they struggle to run the ball
and you put Aaron Rodgers in some one-dimensional situations,
I know the Patriots, oh, my God, they lost that game last week.
They still did a great job in it and take it to account Sam Darlinga Hurt.
They did a great job in containing the Seahawks offense.
So I feel like this is a very low score.
in game where you don't get a lot of huge production across the board.
And Ramandre still is preferred running back here.
So he's the only one I would consider a must start player.
And you say that you're expecting Treveon to play, right?
Yeah, I think we're going to get Trevion eased in.
It would be great.
I think he's talked about this earlier in the week when we were talking about him coming
back to practice.
Like, this injects some new life into this offense that feels flat after what we saw last
week.
So maybe there's a few ways to be creative with him.
I don't know how any fantasy manager can start Tremba.
Trevion coming off an ankle injury, knowing that when Ramandre has been healthy, it's been difficult to trust him.
So you'd love to see, oh, this is the new way it's going to look more in his favor from a playing time standpoint, more touches for him, more opportunities.
Even if it's just like the old Patriots, Josh McDaniels' offenses of there's a thumping running back and then there's a pass catching running back.
And then we get Trevion being the James White, Danny Woodhead type of guy that always had some people who,
are success. So that'd be fun to see. I just think you got to give it a week and see what this
looks like. So why don't we rank the running backs and wide receivers like the top four in this
game? Heath, you can take a stab at it first. Oh, yeah. So, Romandre is first. Warren is second.
No, I'm sorry, D.K. Warren, Douttle. So Ramondre, D.K. Warren, Douttle.
Warren
Hunter Henry
Oh I think I should have concluded the tight ends
I'm sorry yeah
DK MacK
So I do have Hunter Henry
as a starting tight end
I think he's 8th or 9th for me
And if you like what they did
Against this team last time
He had eight catches for 90 yards
And two touchdowns on 11 targets against them
In week three
And if you look two years before that
The last time he played them before that game
he also scored two touchdowns.
So basically a guarantee Hunter Henry's going to score two touchdowns.
Yeah, the Steelers are actually terrible against tight ends last year.
They gave up the fourth most fantasy points.
They were pretty good in week one.
They were no catches for Kyle Pitts on one target.
Okay, so there's Henry or Dalton Schultz?
I go ahead.
Also, like that one target for Kyle Pitts would have been a touchdown if Cooper Rush could throw the wall.
He made a great move.
He made a great move on that play.
So, and Pat Fryer-Muth, I think worth mentioning.
a lot of routes last week. He had five targets. He caught a touchdown. That was encouraging for him,
but we're going to be cautious with him. He's outside the top 15, Pat Fryermuth. So I guess I'll
read the questions here, but we already talked about Drake May. Go back to one question for each
game. If you want to hear about Drake, maybe we talk a lot about him. Jacob wants to know
why I'm calling E.TN, Achan, because that's how he wants to pronounce. I don't know when this is
going to stop. I guess people are gradually finding this out, but his name is pronounced Travis Achan.
To be clear, he says that's the way it is supposed to be pronounced.
It's not just like he decided that he wants to be called A-CEN.
Yeah, that's his last name.
Okay, J-chan.
Yes.
Yeah. Dowdell, Dobbs, Godwin, Dobbins, pick one.
Dowdell, Dobbs, Godwin, Dobbins.
What a great avatar.
Godwin.
I'd probably go dowdwell.
Yeah, we didn't really talk about Romeo Dolls, but is he in your top 40?
No.
No. This is, you know, if you have a roster spot,
it's not Dobbs because he was 75% plus rostered.
If you have an Oberosters spot, put Matt Collins there,
put DeMorrow Douglas there, put Kyle Williams there,
someone's going to have an opportunity to make plays in the next six weeks.
And if you guess right, congratulations.
I think it's going to be Dobbs and Henry just because of the investment
that they made in Dobbs and, you know, on top of that, Henry.
Look, it could be Eli Arreden.
You know, we could get a lot more 12 personnel or 13 personnel
and they're, you know, featuring their tight ends more because they just don't trust
the receivers.
Douglas had seven targets.
last week. Dobbs had three and he was terrible with the drops.
Would you rather have Mac Hollins or Romeo Dobbs?
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'd rather have Xavier Hutchinson or Romeo Dobbs.
Assuming that Nico's out?
Yeah. If Nico's out, I'd rather have Hutchinson.
I think I'd still rather have Dobbs. I actually have DeMario ahead of Dobbs in full
PPR though. But not Matt Collins?
No.
Hollins has kind of been like this just annoying veteran that makes plays.
Anytime he gets like five plus targets, he's like 10 PPR points.
So you know what the floor is. If he somehow finds a way to score,
touchdown, I'll have a decent day. If you get a point per pancake, then Mac Hollins would be the best.
Great blocker. Yeah, DJ Moore or D.K. Metcalfe, that's going to be DJ Moore. Remandre,
Stevenson, or Kyle Menangai? Remandre. Unless Swift somehow is out. Yeah. Mac Hollins or Antonio.
I'd rather Rosser Williams. Yep. Don't want to start either. But if you had to start one of them.
It would be Holland. Yeah. Scataboo or Stevenson?
Stevenson.
Patriots or Chargers DST?S.T.
Patriots.
Montgomery or Stevenson?
Stevenson.
Yep.
And Friermuth or Ferguson?
I don't know which Ferguson that is.
Doesn't matter.
Friamuth.
Okay.
That's that game.
Patriots DST is top six.
Steelers DST is top five for Dave and Jamie.
12th for Heath.
I don't know if we're going to get to that.
I mean, some of you might, this show is going super long.
Some of you might not be around for Eagles Titans.
I have something I want to tell you about Devante Smith,
and I don't like it at all.
But here's Jacksonville at Denver.
Just looking at rolls, things that caught my eye in week one,
Brian Thomas Jr's average route depth was 14.8 yards.
It was only 14 routes, but that ranked second
among 105 wide receivers who ran 10 or more routes.
I hate that.
Stip Brian Thomas, like he's going to be booed.
If he keeps doing that, he's going to be pretty boom or bust.
Sip Ryan Thomas this week.
Jalen Waddle, big role change for him.
65% slot rate.
He hasn't been anywhere near that since his rookie year
when he had a 54% slot rate.
After that, it was about 20%.
Meanwhile, Evan Ingram, he lined up in line
on 21 of his 32 snaps.
He had been about 47% in line his previous two seasons.
They barely played Evan Ingram in the slot.
He did catch his touchdown when he's lined up out wide.
But different roles,
Jaylen Waddle in the slot a ton.
Evan Ingram in line.
So that's like on the end of the line of scrimmage a ton,
like two-thirds of his snaps,
which is usually not good thing for a tight end,
even though he had a good game.
All right.
Trevor Lawrence, let's go.
Fifth for Jamie, 19th for Heath,
and Dave is right in the middle at 12th.
Holy cow.
Heath, you're just, yeah, what do you think?
I think the biggest problem with the Broncos defense in week one
was that they couldn't tackle.
And I don't think that the Broncos defense forgot how to tackle.
I think one, Ken Walker's great at creating broken tackles, too.
They had a really miserable weak one.
They were still very good in coverage.
They can still get pressure on the quarterback.
I can't imagine how angry this defense is,
both at getting embarrassed on national television by the Chiefs
and by remembering what Trevor Lawrence did against them in the playoffs.
I think they'll have a better scheme for what the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing,
and I don't want to trust anyone but Parker Washington in this offense.
Okay, Jamie, let's hear the rebuttal.
How many games did they won in a row?
Nine.
How many points did they scored in that nine games?
Wait, like 33.
They won nine regular season games in a row.
They did lose a game in the middle.
33.7 regular season wins in a row.
Nine regular season wins in a row, 33.7 points per game,
and the number one defense in that.
stretch too. And in that stretch, including the playoff game, Trevor Lawrence has scored 23.1
fantasy points per game or more. So he's just locked in right now with Liam Cohen's offense. And I think
it's just going to be another game where he performs at a high level. I'm just very encouraged by
what Jacksonville is doing right now. And it's not just one guy. Yes, Parker Washington was great
last week. Three other players caught touchdowns. None of them was named Brian Thomas Jr.
or Travis Hunter, who they're forcing it in a lot of ways on the field.
So I think Trevor Lawrence has another good game.
I probably haven't ranked a little bit too high,
but I just love what Liam Cohen has done for him
and what it looked like last week.
I know it was against Cleveland,
but it was just easy.
And it was easy in a lot of ways against Denver last year, too, in Denver.
Yeah.
I mean, look, Denver's defense is great,
but they played a lot of bad teams last year.
They did.
This is a bad team at all.
37.2 fantasy points last year in week 16 at Denver.
was a big statement for Trevor Lawrence.
All right, Heath's just not there with it.
Okay.
I want to, you know, I probably sounded the alarm a little bit too much on Brian Thomas Jr.
I think we all agree this week's got the shoulder thing.
He's probably going to get certanned.
Not going to be great.
But he did, he was limited in snaps last week.
He had a 24.1% target per out run rate.
That was really good.
The way Trevor Lawrence is playing, the way he's throwing the ball downfield, it could
work for Brian Thomas.
I just don't like him having basically the highest average route depth in the NFL in week
one, second highest among
105 wide receivers.
Okay,
Brent and Strange,
starter sit?
Touchdown or bust?
Yeah.
Bo Nick's starter sit.
So, I mean, for me, it's a must sit at this point.
Is there any Bronco that you want to start
or just kind of begrudgingly start Waddle?
Yes.
And Waddle's a number three.
Right.
And this run defense for the Jaguars,
it was great last year.
best against running backs.
It was great in week one.
It's a tough matchup for Dobbins.
If Harvey's out, we can reconsider.
But we don't expect that at this point.
I'm so curious, like, what the correction is going to be for Denver.
What the correction is going to be for Sean Payton, what the corrections is going to be.
It's a shot back.
If this gets ugly or early, give me that.
Oh, yeah.
You know, I would love to see, like, Davis Webb and his offense drawing up plays.
and Sean Payton, like, looking over and going,
no, he, they had him interviewed during the game.
And he, or, no, I think it was on the Manning cast.
And Peyton Manning said talking to him, he said that he asked Davis Webb.
He's like, what's it like with Sean Peyton, who's called plays for so long?
And he's like, oh, he comes into the office all the time.
And if he gives us a play, we run that play.
Like, what Sean Peyton wants in the offense is in the offense.
Yeah, I mean, look, it's still his offense.
It's, you know, Davis Webb running the plays that Sean Payton has installed over time,
you know, certainly over the time with, with,
with Bo Nix.
It's just, you wonder, like, if this gets bad early,
does he just, give me that.
You're done.
Which DSTD you prefer?
The Jaguars.
I think I, I still have Denver higher.
Yeah.
And Evan Inger, by the way, is not ranked in the top 24.
Just letting you know.
All right.
So, question should from the chat.
Tutin or Ladd-McConkie?
A lot of he plays.
Oh, yeah.
But we're not projecting that right now.
Sorry.
or Brock Purdy.
Purdy.
Pertie.
Bo Nix or Justin Herbert?
Herbert.
Trevor Lawrence or Jared Gough?
Lawrence.
Gough.
Sit one.
Waddle, Coker, Godwin.
I think I have Waddle and Coker back to back,
but I probably stick Godwin.
I would sit Godwin.
Lloyd or Dobbins?
Lloyd.
Lloyd.
Tudon, Lloyd, or Godwin,
start two.
I'd start Godwin and Tutin.
Full PPR.
I'm going to start the running backs.
Let's test Jamie's love for Trevor Lawrence.
Trevor Lawrence or Caleb Williams?
Caleb.
That's it for Denver and Jacksonville.
I think there was one other thing I was going to say about that game, but I can't remember.
Okay, Indianapolis is that Kansas City?
We're going to sit Daniel Jones.
We're going to start Jonathan Taylor.
Oh, I know what I was going to say.
If you want to hear more about Bejel Tootin, top of the show.
He told you why he is sitting Basil Tutin this week.
He's just outside the top 24.
He's not terrible, but we'd like to get away from Tutin if possible.
And I also mentioned Chris Rodriguez had four of five snaps on third and one or two yards to gain.
We're going to try to get away from the Colts wide receivers, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Keenan Allen.
Heath said he prefers Alec Pierce because he could always have that one big play.
Josh Downs, 76% roster right now, got open a lot, didn't really get the ball enough last game.
Starters at Tyler Warren, Jamie.
Start.
Yeah, tough to get away from him.
Terrible game.
He did score a touchdown, but only five targets.
Heath and Dave have Warren in the top five.
Jamie has him eighth.
So, you know, still starting him.
Heath, Mahomes.
How do we feel about him this week?
I think, right, like, he is in the top 12 conversation for me.
If you look at my projections, the difference between Jordan,
love at QB11 and Patrick Mahomes at QB15 is less than a half of a point.
But I think with how run heavy the Chiefs went and the fact that we expect the Chiefs
to be playing ahead in this game, I would rather not start Patrick Mahomes, but I don't have
to run away from him if I've got him.
I'd rather start Patrick Mahomes than Jackson, Dart, and Trevor Lawrence.
So you have like two ways to look at the performance last week.
Great that he ran, right?
because that was a concern and didn't show any hesitation in doing so.
Great that you got the little pop-pass touchdown because that's always an easy point
way to get points for him.
The run game was awesome, as he just said, Rashi Rice,
we have some questions about how just good he'll be top-end production.
And so that, I think, limits the receiving core.
You got the huge play from Travis Kelsey, which to me is fluky.
And less than 200 yards passing.
So is he going to be a touchdown dependent quarterback, which would be great?
And then you get some of the big yarders pops on top of it.
I just don't want to run back to Patrick Mahomes because he had 25 fantasy points last week.
The one thing I'm really curious about, and I think Jamie's higher on Emmett Johnson.
I might move him up based on this.
But I wonder if they try to get Rice going and don't want to give Walker too much this week.
it's a short week and he just had 26 touches.
Dude, it was crazy that he was still in the game late in the game.
They said career high something.
I don't know if it was something yard his record or something.
There was something that they had just got close to or maybe it was Walker's career.
And I was like, okay, this makes sense.
Like they're trying to get him something when he finally came out of the field.
But I was like, it's a short week and like, what are you doing?
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think his touches were high, 26 touches, just to throw this out.
out there. I don't want to see Jemir Gibbs get 29 carries every week. That's a little scary.
But do you want to see Bejohn Robinson get like a 53% target share every week? I mean,
I'd rather it be catches than carries, right? Anyway, Mahomes, yeah, Jamie, you're about the same
on Mahom. He had him 17th. He's has him 15th. Dave has him 18th. So we'd like to get away from
him. Rish is 17th-ish for everyone, 16th to 18th in the rankings for Dave, Jamie, and
Heath. We talked a lot about Rishiris yesterday. I have concerned.
I hope he bounces back.
I hope he shows more.
We're going to sit Xavier
Xavier worthy.
That's his name.
Kelsey,
how would you compare Kelsey to the guys
that we may have picked up lately,
Heath, Dalton Schultz,
Joanne Johnson.
Who is the other guy?
Michael Mayor.
Michael Mayor, there he is.
So I would start Michael Mayor
and Hunter Henry over Travis Kelsey,
but I probably wouldn't make
a move to do that
unless I just had somebody I wanted to drop.
I have Kelsey one spot.
ahead of Johnson, two spots ahead of Schultz,
but they're all the same guy in the projection,
so I wouldn't argue too strong for any of those guys.
Okay, let's read some questions from the chat.
Rice or Parker Washington?
Washington.
Rice.
Mahomes or Brissette?
Mahomes.
Kelsey or Kincaid?
I have Kincaid one spot ahead of,
or two spots ahead of Kelsey.
Rice or DJ Moore?
More.
More.
Rice or Garrett Wilson
Wilson
Rice
How are we feeling about Xavier Worthy
Drop a bowl
if you need a rush spot
I was encouraged by
I think his route participation
was a career high
but it didn't really help
I probably wouldn't drop him quite yet
I think if you have any concerns
about Rishi Rice
and you saw week one
where Xavier Worthy had three times
as many targets as Rishie Rice
Oh I thought you were going to say
and you saw week one
where the Colts were chasing Zayflowers all around the field.
Oh, that's true, yeah.
But also the average route depth for Xavier Worthy was seven yards, which is pretty low.
It's in fact, I think it's low.
It's a yard lower than what it was for Rishi Rice.
So big issue for Worthy has just been like he's this deep ball guy that they can never connect.
I guess what I'm saying is I'd be patient with Worthy, you know, if you share the same
concerns that I do, that I have.
And we're going to, it looks like we're going to sit the DSTs,
the chiefs are kind of borderline, and we'll sit to Colts.
All right, Green Bay is at the Jets.
It's out of the game.
The Titans facing the Jets last week had the fifth lowest pressure rate and zero sacks.
And Gino Smith had his fifth highest completion rate of his career.
I went back and watched the tape for this game, and I think they played pretty well offensively.
It wasn't amazing or anything, but, like, really looked competent.
On time, solid performance against the defense that, again, had nothing in the Titans defense.
Packers, we'll see what they have.
Okay, talked about Jordan Love at the top of the show.
You guys both have Jordan Love 11th.
Marshawn Lloyd, we've talked about a ton,
but Heath is higher on Marshawn Lloyd than Jamie.
I guess I'll throw out some Marshawn Lloyds.
Marshaun Lloyd or Xavier Hutchinson, if Nico were out.
Lloyd.
Lloyd.
Marcia Lloyd or Stefan Diggs at Dallas.
Diggs.
Diggs and full PPR, Lloyd, and everything else.
Marshawn Lloyd are a Colts wide receiver at the Chiefs.
Lloyd.
Okay.
So come on Marshawn Lloyd.
Make me look good.
I have a lot of Marshawn Lloyd.
All right.
How are we approaching the Christian Watson's?
Now, how are we approaching the Green Bay wide receivers, Jamie?
Watson is a must start.
Golden is a maybe start.
Reed is a stash.
So the disappointing one was obviously Reed.
You know, the fact that he had seven targets,
I would sign up for that on a week-to-week basis.
Hopefully that continues.
Golden, 12 targets was fantastic.
Watson looked the part of being an alpha
receiver and hopefully that continues.
So this is what we were hoping for.
A lot of volume from the passing game, 42 pass attempts.
Love has been great.
Basically, his career every time he's been over 30.
So keep that going.
And then continue to feature the four guys in the offense when you factor in Tucker
Kraft.
So I don't know how many.
Golden and Jalen Koch are very similar.
Like you drafted these guys relatively late.
Do you have spots in your lineup to put them in?
So you're trying to force two guys coming off strong performances that
you could see having success once again into your team.
I think Golden is a definite starter in three receiver leagues and a potential flex
in two receiver leagues.
Again, I wouldn't give up on READ just yet.
Would you start Marshawn Lloyd or Matthew Golden?
Golden and PPR easily.
Golden and PPR, Lloyd, and everything else.
Christian Watson or Parker Washington, a question from the chat?
Parker.
Both, but Parker.
Tucker Kraft is a start this week.
He ran less than half the routes and he had 65 yards on 6.
targets. He's so good.
Sit, Gino Smith, start
Breeze Hall, start Garrett Wilson.
Shout out to Adonai Mitchell, three targets,
turn it into 60 yards, but we can't start him yet.
And Kenyon, Sadiq, we're not going to start.
You guys like the Packers' DST.
You like the Packers or the Chiefs this week?
Packers.
I have the Packers.
Keith mentioned the Broncos being pissed off.
I can't imagine that everything is going really well in
Wisconsin right now without that game unfolded
against the Vikings.
All right, questions from the chat.
Jaden Reed or Jalen Coker?
Coke, Coker.
Pick two, Christian Watson, Parker, Washington, Malik Neighbors.
I would sit Watson.
Start all three, but I would sit Watson.
Jaden Reed, R.J. Harvey or Pat Bryant?
Oh, boy, I'd go with Reed.
If Harvey plays, it'll be Harvey.
If not, it'll be Reed.
Okay, from Jared.
Adam, it's beard time.
Take Heath's offer and be done with it by
Thanksgiving, it's time to pay the Piper.
I think, yeah, I think you might be right.
I really, I didn't like the way they used
Devante Smith, way too much downfield stuff.
I could tell you that right now.
Devante Smith had a 6% slot rate.
That's crazy.
It was about 50% each of the last two seasons,
about 22% before that.
11.1 yard average route depth,
13.2 yard A.D.
I mean, that's just, I don't like seeing that.
I want to see some easier stuff from,
from Devante Smith. I don't want him to have to rely on big plays.
Just to be clear, that offer was on Sunday. So now it's Thursday. You know the offer's still on the table.
It would just be that you would wear the beard through Thanksgiving until the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Oh, gosh. How could I do that? It's Thanksgiving. My family's going to be the one right?
Dan all of a sudden. All right, Raiders and Chargers, sit cousins, start Gentie.
Any interest in going back to Trey Tucker?
I mean, he ran 87% of the routes.
I don't think Trey Tucker is a guy that just because he had a bad game in week one,
he can't have a good game in week two.
That's just kind of who he is.
So what do we do with that, Heath?
Boom, bust flex.
He's still in my top 48.
I agree with you.
If I had to start a Raiders wide receiver, which you probably don't.
He would be my favorite Raiders wide receiver to start.
But you're right.
He's the type of player you don't overreact to one week in either direction.
I totally agree, but this is also the type of guy on your roster that if you want to speculate on a Texans receiver or a Patriots receiver, that particular player could easily be better than Trey Tucker until the starting wide receiver comes back, who they were replacing.
I hope the Chargers defense can bounce back.
They were so bad against the Cardinals last week.
And Michael Mayer, as of yesterday, 33% rostered.
I dropped Michael Mayer, but I feel like people won't pick him up.
And I will pick him up again.
And I, you know, I was disappointed, but I think that seven targets, Jamie, was encouraging.
And they're all pretty much short area stuff.
He's really low A-Dot.
But he's a big part of the offense.
So, you know, I'll pick him back up.
I dropped him just in case Bowers plays.
I wanted to pick up some guys.
But, yeah, I think you have him ninth.
He has him seventh.
Dave has him 11th.
We're cool with Michael Mayer.
It's worry more about the target share, too, than the targets, because the Raiders probably won't have very many games the rest of the year.
we're in that type of game script.
Yeah, 30 pass attempts is not super low, but it's pretty low.
I'm guessing league average is probably in the 33-ish range.
You might know that, Heath.
But 30's low for Kirk Cousins last week.
Jamie, how do you feel about Justin Herbert?
I'm sure it's a Ladd-McConkie thing, but how do you feel about him?
Discouraged, clearly.
I mean, you know, somebody had high expectations for it, and the offensive line let him down,
but would have like to see Ladd-McConkey finish that game.
I think you've got to consider what your lineup looks like.
if you can carry two quarterbacks, you stash Herbert and you play Jordan Love, you play
guys that have better matchups and are coming off in the case of Love, a better game.
So I don't know, I don't have many teams. Similar Drake May, like I don't have many teams where I drafted
those guys that I'm cutting players at this point to pick up a second quarterback or there's a good
enough second quarterback out there. And that says a lot because I like Bryce Young's matchup
this week. I just wouldn't want to drop somebody to pick up Bryce Young to start over Herbert
or the same thing with May. Look, the Raiders,
defense played very well last week. It was against
Malik Willis and the Dolphins.
So hopefully, hopefully,
McConkey or not, you get a good game from
Justin Herbert and you feel a lot better about him moving forward.
Okay, he's 16th for you. And Heath, you actually
like Herbert this week. I'm 10th?
It's, yeah, very similar, I think,
to where I had him in the preseason.
I think, I don't think this
Raider's secondary is very good.
I think he'll be able to have enough
success with Quentin Johnston
and Trey Harris and David
the Jocko.
Okay.
So you're going to start him even if Lab
McConkey does not play.
Start Hampton.
Yeah, Quentin Johnston.
Heath, you said you're going right back to him with
McConkey's out.
And if McConkey's in, not so much.
Yeah, he'll be in that
Trey Tucker range if McConkey's in.
Jamie, where do you have
Quinn Johnston?
Top 30.
You know, that's the number two receiver, essentially.
And good game against the Raiders
last year at the start of the season.
He should see an uptick in targets.
At least that would be the hope.
I mean, this is where if you're Mike McDaniel,
you better come out with some quick because it was bad against what I still think is a bad defense.
And like he said, this should be a bad Raiders defense too.
So hopefully they protect him.
Hopefully he gets some chances to make some plays.
Maybe he goes back to running a little bit.
That was a big part of his game last year as well.
So they just need to be better across the board.
Like involve Hampton in the passing game.
That would help.
If Najok was your guy, okay, cool.
Feature him a little bit more too.
get some shots down the field to
to Quentin Johnson. The wild card and all this really
is Trey Harris if there is no McCawkes.
So, you know, another situation where, you know,
the Trey Tucker's of the world,
the Josh Downs of the world, you know, the receivers
that are at the end of your bench,
do you move off of them to pick up Harris
in case this McConkey injury is not just this week,
but it's long term. Doesn't sound like that,
but I think Harris is in that,
pick your favorite Patriots,
pick your favorite Texans conversation,
and hopefully he delivers. But there's a lot more upside
for him just based on his pedigree.
I want to just highlight one question from the chat,
just because I was the optimistic guy on Herbert,
and he says,
I don't know,
I have Purdy,
I'm starting Purdy,
yes, 100%.
Purdy's a top five quarterback.
That's not somebody.
I'd much rather start him than Herbert.
And I'm going to ask this tomorrow
because we're an hour and 21 minutes in
and people might have tuned out by now.
But we've got A.J. Brown, Zayflowers,
Lab McConkey,
Niko Collins,
I said Labaconkey.
That might be it for like injured star receivers.
I want to know who your favorite guy.
is out of Hutchinson, Hollins.
I won't say Romeo Dobbs.
He's so rostered, but Hutchinson, Mac Hollins,
uh,
Trey Tucker, we throw Brock Bowers injury in there,
Trey Harris, who ran every route
in the fourth quarter with Lab McConkey out.
That's the one, Trey Harris.
That's the one, Trey Harris?
Yeah, yeah.
All right.
I'll ask it again tomorrow.
We'll get Dave's opinion on it.
And honestly, I think David Nijoku is another reason why I was
fine dropping Matt Michael Mayer.
So I was like, look, if someone picks up
Michael Mayor. There's David Nijoku. There's Dalton Schultz. There's guys.
Like Nizoku had five targets last game. Three of his targets came without Ladd-McConkie.
I figured that they had. Right. I'd start Noghukes with, if Mokonki's not in, I'd start him over a fanning and pits.
Yeah, exactly. He's not a bad option.
You wouldn't start Pits though. The quarterback's better of the right.
If any other quarterback besides Cooper, I think if anybody besides Cooper Rush,
put out of my quarterback and I'm starting Kyle Pitts.
All right. Philadelphia is at tennis.
see, I already talked about the trend
for Devante Smith that I don't like.
Here's another thing I didn't love.
Sequin Barclay only ran 27% of the routes.
The previous two seasons with the Eagles,
he ran about 60% of the routes,
and he didn't have a catch last week.
The good thing is he didn't come off the field
that much on third down.
He just did a lot of blocking.
He didn't run the routes.
But I thought without A.J. Brown
that they'd involve him more in the passing game
because they had in the past.
And in week one, it was a dud.
It was one catch.
one catch for negative three yards for Berkeley.
We ran really well, though.
That's the good thing.
Start Hurts, start Barclays.
Devante Smith, we're going back to him.
You guys have them in the top 13.
Dave has Devante Smith 20th and Dallas Goddert.
We talked about earlier during one question for each game.
We talked about him earlier.
He's fourth for Jamie and 10th for Heath.
There's not a titan we want to start.
But who would be the best?
One deal.
Carnal tape.
Would you start Trey Harris over those guys if McConkey's out?
Yes.
I would start Wondale over here.
Eagles DST is number one for both of you, number four for Dave.
Do you feel like I shortchanged this game?
Is there anything else you want to talk about?
Wix.
Not there yet with Wix.
Wix is in that Patriots, Texans mess if you need a receiver.
Yeah, this one's an easy game.
Okay.
Let's see if I have any questions for this game.
I don't think so.
I'll go back to the last week.
You got a Wix or DeMarcus Robinson one for the deepest of leagues.
Who did you go with?
Johnson.
No, no, no, Wix or to Marcus Robinson.
Not an option.
Quentin Johnson or Chris Godwin.
Oh, sorry, Heath.
No, that's good.
Quinn Johnson or Chris Godwin?
Johnson, if there's no lead.
Quinn Johnston or Devon Valet?
Bryce Young or Justin Herbert?
Herbert.
DeVante Smith or Christian Watson?
Smith.
All right, all right.
Thanks for watching and listening, everybody.
Sorry this show went so long.
One other thing to keep in mind,
if you adopt the Adam Azor playoff strategy,
the playoff format.
This is why the show went so long.
Not really.
If you adopt this playoff format,
you can win one round in the playoffs
or get a buy,
and then you can tell everyone
you made the finals of your league.
This is the most ridiculous.
This is the perfect Adam Azer hosting.
It's like we are almost an hour and a half,
but we need to spend
a couple more minutes on my crazy idea.
How many leagues again do you commission?
I don't know.
Well, I'm the commissioner of 36 FFT Open Leagues.
Does that count?
No, that doesn't count.
So you have your softball league?
I don't want to get into this.
No, no, I want to know.
You have your softball league?
Softball, both podcast leagues,
Bake Burger, maybe one more.
You're already doing this in 36 leagues.
This basically is the playoff format in the FFTO.
Yeah, it kind of is, exactly.
Good.
The Eliminator League?
Yeah.
Eliminator League.
Eliminator League, we do Akepeck scoring, which is great.
I have two more commissioner tips for you.
I'll give them to you tomorrow.
We'll talk to you later on Fantasy Football today.
Podcasts.
