Starting point is 00:00:00 This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports. What a play! Can you believe this? It's a no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races, and he stays on his feet. It's just going to go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Recap. Oh, Heath's got the Chiefs. You didn't have that on this morning, did you? No, no. I generally have it on when it's a 4.30 game, because I just, like, as soon as the game's over, I go upstairs. Okay. All right, all right.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Looking good. Yeah, an exciting win for the Kansas City Chiefs. Exciting day of football. Not quite like last week, but let's do the quick fantasy feud, basically. Give me the top five answers are on the board. Top six answers. Non-decimal scoring. Who are your top six players in PPR leagues right now?
Starting point is 00:00:54 Quarterback, whatever. Heath. Heath. Heath. Cidiam. Number one. Pass or play. I'll pass.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Okay, Dave, you're up. Keep naming. Kyron Williams, number two. Jamie, you're up. Kenneth Walker. Kenneth Walker is, yes, tied for fifth. Heath, back to you. No, I pass.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Jamie, back to you. Kyle Menagai. No, good guess. Dave. Nico Collins. Yes, he is tied with Kenneth Walker. Heath, back to you. I pass.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Okay, Dave. back to you. I pass. It's Drake May. And it's Javent. Wait, I thought it was not non-quarterbacks or anybody? I said quarterback.
Starting point is 00:01:40 I said everything. Quarterback. So, anyway. Drake May. Lamb, Carnie. Drake May. Drake May. Javante, Ken Walker,
Starting point is 00:01:47 Nico Collins, your six best scores for... Just take anybody against Houston. They have the worst defense in the league. Apparently, apparently. Yeah, pretty surprising stuff there with some career days. C.D. Lamb had 21 targets and 7th Catches.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Those were career highs. Kyron Williams had 10 catches. That was a career high. The Eagles, I saw her, this on Red Zone. Eagles went 0 for 12 on third down. Worst third down, I mean, obviously worst third down rate,
Starting point is 00:02:15 but for that many in team history. Worst third down performance in Eagles history, O for 12. And Trey McBride had 31 yards. I believe they're 0 for 18 in their last game and a half. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Trey McBride had 31 yards on 12 targets. That is the fewest amount of yards. on any of his 22 career games with double-digit targets. I told you it wasn't going to be good. Did you? No. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:40 0-4-17. They were 0-4-5 in the second half against the Bears last week. So 0-4-17, then their last third down. The last six quarters, wow. All right, let's talk about some good stuff here. Biggest winner today, Jamie. Jamie, who's the biggest winner? I mean, you make an argument for Drake May.
Starting point is 00:02:56 You know, after what the season has looked like for him and the way that he performed today. And now the season starts, the schedule is starting to get a little bit lighter, and hopefully AJ Brown, you know, we've got a positive report over the weekend that he's making progress. So,
Starting point is 00:03:06 you know, if he can come through this and start to, you know, give you some solid fantasy production leading into AJ Brown's return, you're going to be thrilled about that. So excited to see that. And,
Starting point is 00:03:15 you know, just because he's on the screen, Malik Neighbors as well. I think I was the most optimistic about neighbors, um, going into this, this weekend. And it was mostly just to do with the matchup,
Starting point is 00:03:26 you know, so I didn't think that everything was as bad as it seemed because, for neighbors, at least, getting banged up in the Rams game and losing dart and then playing that bad game in the weather. So this was a game that I wanted to see him come out and perform well, and he did. So Neighbors, I think, is backing our good graces as no worse than a number two receiver, if not borderline number one guy again, especially giving the injuries to the position.
Starting point is 00:03:48 All right. So usually we just do that the biggest winner, biggest loser. But I think right now we'll just do all the winners. And let's get into the pulse pounding performances brought to you by Whoop, the wearable device that gives you personalized insights into your sleep recovery. your strain and how daily choices may be influencing your overall well-being. Heath and Jamie have their whoops on right now. And if you want to learn more, head to join. Dot whoop.com slash FFT and whoop is spelled W-H-O-O-O-P.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Join.wop.com slash F-F-F-T. So Jamie has Neighbors and Drake May, and Neighbors is at Washington and then New Orleans the next two weeks. And May. So I think when you talk about May, Dave has Remandre Stevenson. Heath has Romeo Dobbs. All of you picked a Patriot as a winner.
Starting point is 00:04:35 And the Patriots, of course, with their best game of the season, their first win, they go to Buffalo and put up... Their second one. Oh, that's right. They beat the Steelers. Their second win, they're two and two.
Starting point is 00:04:46 They go to Buffalo, they put up 29 points. Drake May is your number one quarterback. But Dave, what are you thinking about? You've had Remandre on there as a winner. He has a touchdown. But what do you think about the Patriots in general? In general, it's an encouraging.
Starting point is 00:05:00 sign that they're able to put this together and have a functional offense. I think part of this did have to do with Buffalo's defense not being great. They're terrible. Yeah, this is going to be a problem. This was the third highest point total against Buffalo this year. That's saying. Only the charges have been worse. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:17 And I think it's going to be great for like fantasy production for our favorite bills players, but I worry about what it means for, for like, Buffalo's defense. Every game might be the same for them because they just Greg Rousseau can get to the quarterback. I don't know if anybody else really can. I know that they had a bunch of injuries. Benford didn't play and then they lost another corner on the game. So we'll see how Buffalo can get better defensively,
Starting point is 00:05:41 but you almost don't want them to so that everybody in a shootout. Yeah. Who has the best defense in the AFC? Who has the best defense in the AFC? I mean, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Denver. It might. You could make the case for Cleveland. Cleveland because they're doing great.
Starting point is 00:05:59 But Rogers had a great game against him on 30. You don't say it. Don't say it. I think he'll figure it out. I think they'll figure it out. They don't currently have the best defense in the AFC. They don't, you can't make that argument.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Yeah, I can't. I mean, the dolphins don't give up touchdowns. Oh, sure. It's not them. The Chiefs have a great, I think. The Raiders have a legit defense, I think.
Starting point is 00:06:19 The Raiders have a good defense. They have a good defense. The Chief's defense is fine, but it's not one of the best in the AFC. Well, who's is then? I mean, what do we think? That's why I'm asking it. You know who it could be?
Starting point is 00:06:29 You know who it could be is Jacksonville? That's a great call. I don't know. That is a great call. I think Jacksonville might end up have. They might have the best defense for now. But they've got, they're getting turnovers. They're stopping the run.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And they're getting pressure on quarterbacks. I had to talk with Pete Priscoe about this today. That they're, they're just not like finishing their pressures as much as Pete would like. But they're doing some good things on defense. Put me down for Jacksonville. Okay. Heath, well, Dave,
Starting point is 00:06:57 Steve, why don't you talk about your other winner, Tucker Kraft? I was going to talk about the real winners, which are doctors, trainers, and physical therapists around the national football league because they're going to be able to work on a bunch of players that got hurt again, more injuries again. It's annoying again. But Tucker Kraft, seven plus targets, second week in a row had the touchdown this week to go with it. I think it's encouraging signs. I think it steps forward for him. His playing time has been up now.
Starting point is 00:07:22 I think it's three straight games. So I feel like Tucker Kraft can be a tight end that we're. we can feel okay starting. And as for a remandre, not the most efficient stat line, but he went right back. It's been two weeks now. He's back to being the primary runner for New England, dominated on third downs,
Starting point is 00:07:39 all their snaps inside the five, kind of had it last week too. And he did get hurt a little bit at the end, so hopefully he's fine. But as long as he's fine, and the schedule's great moving forward, I think you can start remandre as at least a low end number two running back. Stevenson's dominating the passing downs,
Starting point is 00:07:55 but hasn't Henderson had more carries the last two weeks? No, they're almost even. But Ramontre has it. Hasn't Henderson had more carries last two weeks? No, I think they're tied. Oh, Henderson had more today. I thought he had one more last week, too. Oh, damn it.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Oh, damn it. One more each week. Damn it. Oh. Right, but we know that there's more to it than just getting a lot of carries and certainly playing time is still favoring Ramondre. Yeah, so you're right. Amundra is going to have the catches.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They're splitting carries evenly, but. Goal line work. Romandre is working at the goal line. There was a play in this game where Trevion carried down to the two-yard line, maybe the one-yard line. He came out. Ramandre came in. Yeah, look, I mean, I guess I'd like to see
Starting point is 00:08:35 one, another good performance before I just like, oh, yeah, I'm in on the Patriots. Heathie had Romeo Dobbs is one of your winners. Matt Collins got hurt in this game. Dobbs was only started in 13% of leagues. He's actually available in 30% of our leagues. Six cash is 58 yards, two touchdowns on nine targets. And still, he somehow made a terrible blunder
Starting point is 00:08:55 that almost cost him the game. But I think he was responsible for Drake May's interception, wasn't he? Right. It's kind of deflected. But it was two out of three games now where he's the primary pass catcher for Drake May without AJ Brown. I think it should be the expectation going forward, at least until AJ Brown's back. I think he can view him as a low-end wide receiver three next week.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Sure. Mack Hollins got hurt in this game also, so that could open up some targets for him. Yes. and Efton Chisholm came in for Matt Collins and caught an impressive touchdown. Awesome touchdown catch. So they get the Raiders next week. It's a very interesting game.
Starting point is 00:09:32 The Raiders can really rush the passer. I mean, that is their strength right now, I'd say. And also, yeah, Hunter Henry with five targets. That's the Patriots. Now, Emmanuel Wilson, I'm actually a little annoyed by this because I got a lot of Charbidei waiting to come back. Did Emmanuel Wilson just solidify a role for himself, Heath, with 24 touches, two touchdowns,
Starting point is 00:09:54 and he's had a solid year so far for Seattle. So I think, like, Charbonnet wasn't ever going to come back and handle 70% of the work, I didn't think. And with Price being on IR, I would say that Wilson has secured a role for himself for a while. I'm not sure about for the rest of the season. I don't really expect Charbonnet to be back to playing next week. Maybe he will be, but with somebody coming off the injury he did,
Starting point is 00:10:20 I'd think they'd like to get him a couple weeks of practice. So I think Wilson's probably in number two running back next week. Performed well. The rushing average got hurt a little bit by some rush attempts late in the game when everybody in the stadium knew they were going to run the bowl. But maybe most importantly, involved in the passing game and did well in that area too. There's just the wild card and all this is the Joe Mixon visit to Seattle. And do they decide to sign Mixon?
Starting point is 00:10:45 If they sign Mixon, then we're in trouble across the board because it's another player that's in the mix and, you know, clearly the best resume of anybody that would be on that roster. So if I was Joe Mixen, I would try and get a flight to Philadelphia, they may need some running back help over there. I would stay away from Seattle for now. Okay. Well, there you have. We have three Patriots on our winners list. We have Tucker Craft, Malik Neighbors, and Emmanuel Wilson.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Jamie, are you going to trust Malik Neighbors in a bad matchup? Define a bad matchup. Philadelphia in a few weeks. Houston's on the schedule. I mean, what's Quineon Mitchell status after leaving today? I mean, who cares? It's like Houston in three weeks. So I'll say this.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I think Malik Neighbors is back to being easy matchups. He's going to be somewhere in the top 15. Bad matchups. He's somewhere in the top 24. So it's just this was what you wanted to see. Now, did he have the, you know, over-targeted game? from James Winston when they scored 30 plus points? No, that was Isaiah likely today.
Starting point is 00:11:55 But you saw that James can make Malik neighbors a fantasy star. And that's what I wanted to see. I was really nervous after that first catch. Yes. When he landed on his shoulder and grabbed the shoulder and went off to the sideline, but he came back in and played great. Yeah, I think I just, I didn't mean to say like, oh, who cares about Quinn Sean about Quinnion, about Quinnion Mitchell?
Starting point is 00:12:20 He's a great cornerback, and it obviously matters. But I think my point was more like, as I'm watching the Giants, I think they can do okay against Arizona and Washington next week. I don't, I mean. First place, shine. Make sure you address them. Yeah, in sole possession of first place New York Giants. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:38 You know what this is, though? This is prolonging the bet. The longer that they stay in playoff contention, you don't have to go there. Jeez. No, you might get a gift next week if Huntley starts. Yeah, I know. and maybe Zay will have a game to bring it back into contention. I think it's pretty clear.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Who is this year's JSN? That question got asked so many times. I think we have the answer, and it's Zayflowers. Right. This guy's insane. Thank you to- Zayson. Hey, I love it.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Thank you to- prior to this week, Parker Washington was in that discussion, too. Maybe, but Parker Washington had, what, five targets last week, three this week, I think, like J-S-N or Z-S. Zay S-ed is being targeted. Zay's also missed the game. Let's not forget that. He has. But it's like, all right, I'm going to do the whoop read in just a second.
Starting point is 00:13:28 But you think about Zay Flowers' year so far. Amazing in week one, he played a half. Amazing in week three, he played 33% of the snaps. Amazing at half time of week four. And Lamar Jackson didn't play the entire second half. If you put it on like a per route basis or a per snap with Lamar Jackson basis. He has two half. with 23 fantasy points.
Starting point is 00:13:52 He's been awesome. Insane. All right, well, now I want to thank WOOP for sponsoring this week's pulse pounding performances. With Woop, you can better understand how your body is responding to the travel, the training, the late nights,

Starting point is 00:15:53 And Heath is going to talk about Dalton Trumbo, a famous American screenwriter who wrote Roman Holiday. Dalton McGinty, a Canadian politician. Dalton Rapitone, an American singer. Dalton Connect. These are just famous Dalton's, according to Google. But also Dalton Kincaid and Dalton Schultz. Go ahead. The Dalton's at Tide End were a disaster.
Starting point is 00:16:17 and I don't have any great explanation for it, but I think Dalton Schultz just completely not involved, although part of a very cool and very important play on a hook and ladder. But they had five tied-in targets, and only two of them went to Dalton Schultz. Dalton Kincaid was invisible for the first 90% of this football game. I think if somebody wants to drop Dalton Schultz, I'd have a hard time arguing against them,
Starting point is 00:16:45 and Dalton Kincaid, it's funny. We all kind of ranked him just outside of the top 12 tight ends. And then as soon as he had two great games, he was up into the top five. And I think he's probably right around 12 again. And I'll throw in a bonus loser because no one else added him. And I hadn't seen the Ben Johnson quote before I sent in my losers. But Daltandre Swift, benched for fumbling. And Kyle Monongai was awesome.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Definitely a loser for him as well. Well, Mononga got hurt late in the game. I didn't see the quote from Ben Johnson. What is that quote? He said that had nothing to do with injury. No, no, no. I know he got benched for fumbling. Kyle Menongai hurt his thumb.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Oh, I didn't see a quote about that, no. No, what was the quote about DeAndre Swift? It was that his benching had nothing to do with injury. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay. Yeah. I thought maybe when it happened, he just reagravated the knee injury that he'd
Starting point is 00:17:43 mispractice on Thursday with. No. Yeah, this one I actually did catch, unlike last week with Jedaria and Price. This one I did catch. That was DeAndre Swift getting benched for fumbling. And also it happened to Caleb Johnson. And he was having a pretty good game and he fumbled kind of going into the end zone for the Packers. And his coach, Matt LaFleur, said, I think he's the one who said, if you're going to fumble, you're not going to play or something like that.
Starting point is 00:18:07 The funny thing was it was just like you said, only, I think, reverse from the prior week. Marshawn Lloyd fumbled in the drive before that. It went out of bounds. It was fine. I know. Hypocrine. All right. Dave,
Starting point is 00:18:19 you've got this one really, oh, this one really grinds my gears, man. All of these grinds my gears. Go ahead. Jeremiah, well, like Josh Downs, okay,
Starting point is 00:18:29 you had a bad game. Jeremiah, I love, like, the role was bad, too. But yeah, you have love and downs. So starting with Downs, Daniel Jones was just an abomination
Starting point is 00:18:39 for pretty much the entire game. and just throwing short off target. It was ugly. It was really tough to watch if you were a Josh Downs fantasy manager. And as long as Daniel Jones just doesn't get out of this funk, I don't know how you can feel good. Or Daniel Jones getting out of the funk, I don't know how you can feel good about starting Josh Downs.
Starting point is 00:18:59 He's more of a number three receiver. I think it's pretty easy to start Malik neighbors pretty much moving forward over Josh Downs, which is something that I did not do personally today, and I'm paying for it in one of my leagues. As for Jeremiah Love, he said after the game, talking about this workload split, quote, this is probably going to be the longest year of my life. And then Michael Flore, in his press conference, explained that Tyler Algear is essentially their third down back, two-minute offense back, and that's going to continue to be the case.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And we saw it play out. If you look at the snaps between the Cardinals running backs today, I'm, Algear had the lead. It was 54% for him. Jeremiah, 46%. Al Jare had the lead on third downs. Seven snaps inside the five for the Arizona Cardinals. How many do you think Jeremiah had? Zero.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Zero, not one. So we're right back to where we were two, three weeks ago with Jeremiah Love. Can't trust him as a top 15 type of fantasy running back. Went up against the Giants and could not do very well with it. Yeah, very disappointing. It was the goal line stuff that really bothered me. And the reason I think is because it wasn't like that last week. So maybe it won't be like that next week,
Starting point is 00:20:11 but obviously we can't look at Jeremiah Love and say he has some solidified goal line rule. All right, Heath had Dalton, Schultz, and Kincaid as losers. Dave had Jeremiah Love and Josh Downs as losers. Dave, you're offered right now, DeAndre Swift for Jeremiah Love. What do you do? I'm probably going to take it, assuming that I'm comfortable with Swift getting his rollback
Starting point is 00:20:32 and that his benching was just a one-week thing. Heath, you're offered right now. Hold on. I'll tell you in a second. You're offered right now, Omarian Hampton and Khalif Raymond for Christian McCaffrey. What do you say? I'm going to go ahead and keep Christian McAfree on that one. Yeah, yeah, me too. I just want to make sure I wasn't crazy because, you know, Jamie proposed it to me. So I just thought maybe I'm missing something here. James said to guys. Well, I know you're a big Wiz Khalifa guy from this morning. And, um, I think I'll offer you one of your favorite players. I'm throwing Amaran Hampton. Everybody hates Raymond. All right, Jamie, your losers were Devante Adams, four catches for 32 yards on nine targets,
Starting point is 00:21:16 another game where Matthew Stafford threw about 50 passes. And Jalen Hertz did score 17 and a half fantasy points against the Rams, but threw for 93 yards. So Adams and Hertz. Yeah, it hurts. Look, it's frustrating. And, you know, you can give him a pass on the fact that no, Devante Smith, no Dallas got her,
Starting point is 00:21:35 Barclay gets hurt early in the game, and no Lane Johnson starts the game. So he's down arguably his most important teammates to help him out. That being said, he has not played well, really, for the last three games. And if he doesn't have his weapons going into week five, I don't think you consider him a starting fantasy quarterback because he just looks absolutely awful right now. For Devante Adams, we talked about this. Did we miss our cell high window on Devante because Puka coming back?
Starting point is 00:22:03 and the answer for at least one week is yes. So the nine targets is great. He had a couple bad drops, which is not typical Devante Adams. But we had this whole disconnect with him and Stafford last year, and we're seeing it a little bit right now. And I think it was just going to be a situation. When Puka's on the field, if he's not scoring touchdowns,
Starting point is 00:22:19 this is what you're going to get because it's what happened last year when he wasn't scoring touchdowns. So I'm just a little bit nervous that Devante Adams is not going to be a top 15 caliber wide receiver. You're still going to start in most weeks because nine targets from Matthew Stafford, that's usually going to be a good. formula for success, and they get Buffalo next week. So he's going to still be a top 24 receiver, but again, missed the sell high window on
Starting point is 00:22:40 not getting rid of DeMonte Anzum, when he could have. Stafford was not very good for most of this game. No. And that's not been that unusual this season. I sort of, yeah, I mean, I tend to agree, right? I don't think he played all that well against Denver either. He just threw the ball so much and made some plays. Well, he's got six interceptions.
Starting point is 00:22:58 I mean, that's not great through four weeks. Yeah. Meanwhile, we didn't talk about Kiron, but the fact that Kiron Williams has two straight gains with at least five catches, I think. He dominated playing times. He sure did. Yeah, he's running away with it.
Starting point is 00:23:14 He's running away with it. And I'm going to give you a bonus loser here, and it's the Bucks, and it's Bucky Irving. I mean, that of all the things I saw today, I think what incensed me the most was Sean Tucker, being their short yardage and goal lineback. I wanted it. It's a way.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Why don't you love it? It's anarchy. It's anarchy. Oh, it's horrible. He's really good at it. He's like a bowling bowl. I mean, you can't, you can't start anyone in the Colts in the Bucks passing game confidently.
Starting point is 00:23:46 And now Buckees is tough, right? What do you think about Bucky? He's tough to start. Yep. Yes, very tough to start. Like, I think I just, there's some guys that are not necessarily, and I think you look at the Chiefs.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Like, What did Cream Hunt have last year? Like an 80% success rate on second and third and one and two? And Ken Walker is at about 50% this year. Like, Cream Hunt's not better than Kenneth Walker, but he might be better at that one specific thing. Well, I hated it. I got an injury update on DJ Moore.
Starting point is 00:24:20 So let's go through our news and notes here. That was a tough one. DJ Moore. He's been really frustrating for fantasy managers, no doubt about it. Okay. Lamar Jackson. They're calling it day-to-day with an ankle injury. Marcus Marietta, that looks more like a long-term one with the knee injury,
Starting point is 00:24:37 re-agravating his MCL injury from Marioita. And Jaden Daniels maybe plays next week, or we'll get Kaliak Manas again. I think we're going to see Jane Daniels. I hope so. I hope so. I hope Kaliak Manas. But no, for our purposes, yeah, that'd be great. Ramandre, did Ramonji leave with a knee injury, Dave?
Starting point is 00:24:58 He left at the very end of the game. I don't know how serious it is. Okay. So we'll keep an eye on Ramandre. Menangai with the thumb. Swift, the fumbles. Barkley, first quarter, he left almost immediately. Tank Bigsby apparently got banged up late in the game.
Starting point is 00:25:12 I don't think that's anything serious, but you never know. So we'll be talking about that. It looked bad. With Bigsby? Yeah, he was on the ground. Yes. It looked like his groin area. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Okay. Maybe it was worse than I thought. They went from Saquan to Shipley in one game. And, yeah, I mean, Honestly, it's too much of a split right now between Shipley and Biggsby, but Biggsby would be the preferred guy if he were healthy, and Barclay were out. They're at Jacksonville, best defense in the AFC, says Dave, next week.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Green Bay running back, Chris Brooks left with an ankle injury. We saw some progress from the run game. We saw Caleb Johnson having a pretty decent game, and then he fumbled. And then at least Lloyd was involved in the passing game, and they get Chicago next week. I mean, there should be a lot of points scored for Green Bay against Chicago, Dallas, and Detroit in their next three games.
Starting point is 00:26:02 And Carolina. And then Carolina after that, yep. I know as a Jets, but it's another good week of defense from Chicago. Sure. You're right. Yeah. Kyle Ushik left with a knee injury.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That one looked kind of bad. Yep. And wide receivers, we had Rishie Rice leaving almost immediately. They go into their by week at least, but Rishie Rice got hurt quickly there. And then Taekwon Thornton left late in the game with a gruesome ankle injury.
Starting point is 00:26:26 DJ Moore, shoulder injury. So I guess the report here is that it's not considered to be a long-term issue, according to Adam Schaefter. But I think we're all pretty frustrated with it. Jamar Chase left in the second quarter. We'll wait to get an update. They've got Miami this upcoming week and then a buy. Concussion. You mentioned that it's a concussion.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Oh, it's a concussion. Yeah. He is in the concussion protocol. So if he's healthy, he'll play against Miami. We have our new tight end to go pick up this week. Mike Kisicki, revenge game against the dolphins who just Well, Higgins also got hurt. Higgins came back, though, right?
Starting point is 00:27:03 He did. Okay. But we'll keep an eye on that. Sometimes they are able to come back and then, you know, the adrenaline wears off, whatever. Pat Bryant injury, Jalen Lane, serious injury. Malik neighbors with that shoulder injury that popped up again, but he came back in.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Jalen, Nailor, concussion, Mack Holland's calf, Ladd-McConkie, came into the game of the foot injury, had two targets, no catches, left with a foot injury. Ladd-McConkey, very frustrating start to the season. Baltimore, they're down to their fourth string center. They lost one of their guards. Andrew Voorhees to a foot injury. Joe Alt left right tackle for the Chargers.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Joe Alt left with an injury. It's just not Herbert's fault. What's his name left, too? The other tackle. Slater. Slater, yeah. Slater got banged up. Yeah, they were down to one of their starting offensive linemen for the year.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Oh, my. In weeks. To go get Zach Morris. And you know, it's just not Herbert's fault. The linebacker shouldn't have been. standing there. You should have just given Herbert a cleaner path. It doesn't happen to anybody else.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Minnesota, Minnesota lost two linemen, too. Well, at least Darisaw was evaluated for a concussion. I don't know if he came back. Darrysoe came back. Okay, good. But Donovan Jackson left with a knee injury, a guard. And there are some defensive injuries.
Starting point is 00:28:18 We'll keep an eye on. Jaguars had two safeties leave with injuries. One of them was a starter. The other one was more of a special teamer and blah, blah, blah. early waiver wire Jamie any big time names for the waiver wire this week I mean it's time to stop ignoring
Starting point is 00:28:33 Kirk Cousins at this point like it's just another strong game for him fantasy wise and the Kubiak system is just great like the touchdown Dean Thomas was fantastic he's you know Brock Bowers making plays for him
Starting point is 00:28:45 Trey Tucker's made some plays for him it's just cousins playing well you know so when we're looking at now no Bryce Young or Patrick Mahomes with their bye weeks and we don't know if Jane Daniels coming back
Starting point is 00:28:55 and just the way quarterback back play has been so far. Like, it's time to look at Kirk Cousins as, as an option. I don't know off top of my head, maybe you have in front of what Emmanuel Wilson's roster percentage is. Yeah, it's 64%. Yeah, I mean, he's the prize if you. Huh?
Starting point is 00:29:12 You just made it. Yeah, he's the prize if he's still available. I don't know where the dolphins ended up settling, but Ollie Gordon looked fantastic. He should be considered one of the bigger winners. 78% for him. 57% for Jalenright of the week wide receiver
Starting point is 00:29:33 yeah I guess Romano Dobbs is going to be in the list Keaum Coleman Cardinal Tate's going to be on the list Coleman Coleman willisone's going to be on the list Roman Wilson's going to be on the list yeah
Starting point is 00:29:47 I'm really happy for all the Olly Gordon fab winners you know they've spent too much they got laughed at They got laughed at at the end of the week because of the Jalen Wright reports. And then they probably left him on their bench. But 14% started.
Starting point is 00:30:09 He'll be a nine-carriage. You're going to roll them out there next week. I don't know how good he'll do against Cincinnati. You know, they started this game, like at halftime, they were even in terms of reps between Wright and Gordon. And then Gordon ripped off a long run early in the third quarter. And the coaches were like, hey, that's enough for us. He's the hot hand.
Starting point is 00:30:24 and he actually had a number of very good runs. He looked great. He sure did. There's no point in saying otherwise. And right botched a kick return. Like, it was all Ali all the time. Ali,
Starting point is 00:30:36 Ali, oxen free. One person in the chat, LAWRSA, Ali, you weren't free. You were very expensive. Yes,
Starting point is 00:30:46 you were. This guy's name is Ladd, which is appropriate because he brings up Trey Harris. Trey Harris. Like, if you see this, yeah,
Starting point is 00:30:53 you see the stats of this game. a lot late they were trailing and they put up some numbers. But he's got another injury on the first play for the panther. Maconkey could be out, could miss some time. And yeah, Trahares is interesting. Plus, the Broncos actually lost both starting cornerbacks, Sertan and Riley Moss, and that's who the Chargers play next week.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Okay. What else we got? That's the early look at the waiver wire. For the shallower leagues, I'll bring up Xavier Worthy because I think he could be kind of used like Rishi Rice, if Rice were to miss time, but they are going into the line. I mean, it could be, it could be Cyrus Allen. It could be, who am I biking on?
Starting point is 00:31:31 Jail Leroyal. Yeah, those guys. Yeah, those guys are you go get Juju? Juju's the immediate fix. He is generally the Rashi Rice fix. Yeah, the Band-Aid. So looking at some of the goal line work that stood out, I think Ramandre, Sean Tucker,
Starting point is 00:31:52 We talked about that. Tony Pollard dominated at the goal line. Basil Tudin had a three. Basil Tudin had two touchdown runs called back today, didn't he? He had a three-yard touchdown run called back.
Starting point is 00:32:03 So DeAndre Swift had two. That's reversed. Like actually cold touchdowns and reversed. Yeah. And. Jags had a bunch of big plays callback. Who did? Then the Jaguress have like two big plays callback?
Starting point is 00:32:16 They had 10 penalties for 100 yards in the first half. Yeah, two down to 44-yard touchdown callback. Not a good day for Scataboo. Now, in terms of goal line, I can't really say it was Najee Harris, but Najee did score on a two-point conversion. And Najee did have a better day than Scataboo, but Najee also fumbled. Almost touchdowns?
Starting point is 00:32:37 Yeah, I don't know. There were some. Nothing too big here. We mentioned Smith, Swift. Chris Bell for the Dolphins had a touchdown called back on a... Because he stepped out of bounds before he caught the ball. How about Antonio Williams? Antonio Williams had a deep one called back.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Tucker Kraft dropped a touchdown, then he caught one later. T.J. Hawkinson had such a great game, and at the end, he was about to score a touchdown, and he slid down. I started him in a tight-in premium league. Nice. May have actually cursed him in front of my family when he took a knee instead of scoring a touchdown. He gave me more than you ever could have expected. He gave me a great day, but just finish the job. You can't curse him.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I asked Dave this. Can you think of any other examples of when we've had a tight end, kneel down? slide on purpose. Yeah, slide on purpose. To end the game. It doesn't seem like a very tight end thing to do. Right. Well, good job, Tj.
Starting point is 00:33:33 It was a classy move. And they won the game because of it. All right, let's go to the games and start with the London game. Colts 30, Commanders 13. Now, Dave, you said Daniel Jones looks so bad and can't trust Josh Downs and all that. But Josh Downs did come through with two good games in a row with the same Daniel Jones. He just Jones had a really bad game here. So, like, really, like, really can't trust.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Josh Downs? You have to lower expectations a little bit. I mean, here, here was a platform for him, no Keenan Allen, against the commanders who had given up tons of numbers to wide receivers coming into the week. And not only three catches for 16 yards, only four targets. How does that happen? I think he's their best receiver. How does LeQuan Treadwell have six targets? And Josh Downs have four. How does Ashton Doolin have six targets? And maybe it's as simple as, well, the commanders were putting coverage over the top on downs and Daniel Jones was just going in a different direction. It felt to me watching this game that Daniel Jones just was trying to get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible, which is part for the course for him. But he was
Starting point is 00:34:34 also at times just like holding the ball and not even realizing what he was looking at. He had another fumble when he was hit in the backfield. It was just ugly. And I don't feel great about starting players connected to Daniel Jones, except for the running back. He's pretty good. on the Washington side of the ball heath we did see jacori krosky merit play a little bit on third down early in the game and that was pretty cool but you know what that was pretty much all we got that was cool um you know he keeps struggling to run the ball jokori krosky merit nine carries for 15 yards two catches for 35 yards just like when can you trust jokory krosky merit i i hate to say this out loud but i thought austin he looked good he did and they they love austin eclure there And I just wonder if he gets even more work next week. Especially of the report that we got about Rashad White is accurate that he did have shoulder surgery. So he's probably somebody today. I think he was 4% rostered this morning.
Starting point is 00:35:33 So he's not somebody you want to start necessarily or a top priority on the waiver wire. But there's a lot of leagues where he should be rostered. I don't think you can really look at the receiver. I don't think you can say, oh, Diggs had such a bad game. We didn't expect Kaliak Manus to be the quarterback. quarterback, so let's just throw that one away. Yeah. You have something to say?
Starting point is 00:35:56 It's just an interesting pronunciation. Yeah, Calliac Manus. That was close. I think that was closer. Well, I'm in between man and Mon, and I just got to combine them. I think it's Colliac Manus. I told Dave, he's the Calliac Manus now, Doug. I'm just glad that you fixed your Romeo dubs, whatever you call him this morning.
Starting point is 00:36:17 I said dubs. Why did I say that? We're going to take a break on fantasy football today. We'll come back and talk about the good games, starting with Green Bay and Tampa Bay. Oh, that's a great one. It's a three-point game. All right, we'll be right back on FFT. Okay, here we go, Green Bay and Tampa Bay. 1714 Packers win, and they weren't happy.
Starting point is 00:36:41 They won the game, but they said we can't play like this offensively. They've got to be better. Dave, what are your major takeaways for the Packers? Christian Watson with a bad game here. Yeah, only three targets, but he led them with 47 yards. We talked about Tucker Graft and what he means to this offense and how he had a good game this week. Golden had a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:37:04 I think there was more that Golden could have had in this game. I'd have to go back and look at my notes on it. But it's kind of uninspiring. It wasn't a great game from Jordan Love. The run game still is a mess. it's it's there's there's there's a lot more to take away from Tampa but it's not good and it's almost like Green Bay played down to Tampa's level because the bucks were just like they they couldn't get very much going offensively either and Green Bay just like they were just like okay
Starting point is 00:37:34 cool we won't do anything big because you won't do anything big and then they lost edger and Cooper in the game so I know it was a three point game and you're trying to sell it as like a good game great game I don't think it was even close to a good game I'm going to tell you, like, I don't generally share the behind the scenes like this, Adam, but the notes for this game are pretty terrible. Like, I'm trying to look at the notes and just, like, find some things to say. And it's really, really a bad job. Well, I think one thing I would point out with this team is that, you know, Golden and Watson have been so good.
Starting point is 00:38:10 They are horrible notes. Yeah, it's a bad game. But Tucker Kraft had like a 14% target share. So there's going to be some weeks where Kraft gets featured more. And just so happened that Marshawn Lloyd had some catches this week. And I think I'm pretty sure we'll all go right back to starting Christian Watson next week. And then the Bucks, yeah, we already talked about it. Just like how can you even trust them?
Starting point is 00:38:31 Also, I think we, I don't know if we expected at this point, but I think a lot of people have expected the Bucks defense to be really bad. It just hasn't been. They haven't been lit up by quarterbacks yet through four weeks. Sean Watson's had the best game against them out of Borough, Watson, Kyler, and Love. Well, Heath will love this because Jordan Love over 30 pass attempts is usually great. Yeah. And he was at 30.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Yeah, he needs one more. One more would have been a good day. Golden drew another pass interference penalty that set up the Packers right at the goal line. The interception that Love through was on a post to Golden. If he had been a little more accurate on that throw, that could have been another touchdown for Golden. And it wasn't, like a lot of it was Jalen Danielson just playing with an undrafted free agent in his first start. But the rest of the, the Bucks pass catcher did not help him at all. Mecca, Buka dropped a ball in the end zone.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Kate Otten had a terrible drop. You're saying this as we watch James and Williams drop. That could have been an unbelievable play. Sorry, I know. Did you make any guarantees for Jameson Williams? No, I've already lost all my fantasy. credibility. I can't get it back. Dallas 34, Houston 30. Jamie, what are your major takeaways from this game? And should we be worried about George Pickens? Two catches for 75 yards on three targets and
Starting point is 00:39:55 only one good game. No great games so far this year. I think Jerry Jones, the general manager made some calls and said, listen, we want to have George Pickens on the team. We just don't want to pay him. So let's just not give him a lot of, you know, big stats until we need like a, a player or two here or there. I mean, look, you're going to still start George Pickens. It's been frustrating. There's going to be some big games coming. He's a great by-low candidate because Dax's playing still at a very high level,
Starting point is 00:40:20 and they're going to still be in a lot of these games where they have to score points. So if you can get George Pickens cheap, I would do so. But C.D. Lamb was just an absolute monster, and you just want to continue to see this from the guy that you drafted in the first round. Javante Williams coming through with a great fantasy day despite facing this Texas defense, which rightfully so, Adam, you highlighted how great they had been through the first three weeks this season against some really elite running backs. I just think you're looking at it.
Starting point is 00:40:45 The Texans' offense, specifically C.J. Stroud is playing well. Nico Collins, great to see him back. So that connection is going to be one that you can rely on, especially, you know, you're starting Nico if there was any doubt. You hope you just stays healthy. But I think C.J. Strat belongs in the streaming conversation. Two games with these guys are together and two productive outings for Strout. So I'm going to, you know, obviously recommend him as a waiver wire.
Starting point is 00:41:10 ad and somebody that you should consider starting if you don't have Bryce Young or Patrick Mahler's next week. A lot of short hitches and slants and not really snouts, but like hitches and outroutes for C.D. Lamb. And it just really just, it added up and for whatever reason, Houston could not cover him. He had a 30-yard pass. There was no Texan within five yards of them on like this intermediate over route that he turned into a big 30-yard play.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Pickens like Golden had a pass-in. interference call go his way he drew that in the end zone and that set up one of Javante's touchdowns. I wouldn't freak out if you had pickens. David Montgomery or Woody Marks rest of season? Woody. I don't really want either one, but I think it's Woody. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Yeah, Woody with his second straight game with a touchdown, but five, six carries in each game, one catch in his last two games. It's not inspiring stuff. Jacksonville, 22, Cincinnati, 17. I am glad. Oh, actually, now that I think about it. I was going to make this game the game of the week, but then Dave kind of stole it
Starting point is 00:42:15 and, you know, tried to anticipate it. So I pivoted to San Francisco, Denver, which was worse. So Jacksonville, 22, Cincinnati, 17. And, yeah, let's talk about Parker Washington. Eight targets in his last two games. Now, in this game, Trevor Lawrence only threw 23 passes, but Washington had three targets. Heath, did we jump the gun with Parker Washington?
Starting point is 00:42:38 We may have jumped the gun, ranking him in the top 12. I don't think we jumped the gun calling him a must start, and I plan on starting him again next week. Yeah, and who got the targets this week? It was the tight end, of course, against the Bengals. It was Brenton Strange, seven catches, 95 yards on eight targets. And the Bengals next week, they get the Dolphins. So that's probably not going to be a Greg Dolsich week.
Starting point is 00:43:02 But, all right. To be fair, there hasn't been a Bretton Strange week yet this season, and then here comes this game. That's true. Hey, Ryan Thomas Jr. and Mike Marvin Harrison, like Spider-Rand meme.
Starting point is 00:43:17 All right, what about Chase Brown? Yes, he had 11 catches. He also had nine carries for 10 yards. Jamie, are we worried about Chase Brown?
Starting point is 00:43:27 Yes and no. I mean, clearly he's not running the ball very well. It's been a tough start to the season for him. You still see how much he plays. You still see what he means
Starting point is 00:43:34 in the passing game. Jamar Chase may not play. They get the dolphins coming up this week. Like, there's just such a layoff. opportunity for him to be dominant. So I know Aaron Jones didn't have the 20 plus point game that every other running back
Starting point is 00:43:45 has had against the Dolphins. You can see it happening for Chase Brown, though, just because of the type of player that he is. So similar to George Pick and similar to what he said going into the week, like if you can get Chase Brown cheap, he is one of the best by-low targets you could find of the upper echelon players. You still feel that way. I don't think anybody's giving away after this game.
Starting point is 00:44:01 But, you know, again, depending on the format you play in, PPR is much harder to trade for him. None in half. It's a little bit easier. I just look at the 11 catches and I go, well, Jamar Chase was out, so I wonder how much that influenced it. So then we're just looking at a guy who had nine. I mean, they were playing the 85 bears, too. They were.
Starting point is 00:44:20 All right, well, it's disappointing. And if we'll talk about Waverwire guys, maybe it's Dante Myers. He had nine targets, seven catches for 82 yards. Mitchell Tinsley had three catches for 49 yards. Last year, Tinsley had one pretty good, oh, no, he had nine targets in a game. He didn't do anything with him. Maybe it's the tight ends. Rams 24, Eagles 20.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Dave, I think we can, you know, as Jamie said, we can give Jalen Hertz and the Eagles offense a little bit of a pass. They're playing really short-handed. In fact, I think they were down 10 starters by the end of the game because they lost two guys on defense in addition to Barclay and whatnot. But for the Rams, you know, Jamie had Adams as a loser. What's your take on Stafford and Adams right now? I think you can lower expectations for Adams.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Adams and put him right back in that number two receiver category. I don't think it's going to be this bad again. And I didn't watch the game, so I don't know exactly what the Eagles did and whether it was Quinn and Mitchell shutting him down or what happened. And same thing with Stafford, but we know that the Rams are more than willing to give Stafford the opportunity to go out and throw 40 plus times a game, if that's what it takes to win the game. Usually when he does that, the numbers are pretty good.
Starting point is 00:45:32 The two interceptions stink. I think you can chalk it up to just being a bad game for Stafford. He still should be a consideration. as a starter as long as both Adams and Nacuah are healthy. I think I'll probably start Stafford and Adams both next week. Yeah, I don't think anybody's benching Devante Adams. I don't want to give the impression I said that, but it is just where he was without Puka to what we saw today.
Starting point is 00:45:56 And there's a huge difference. And the last 20 plus games, whatever it is, of them together, not exactly great for Devante Adams when he does not score touchdowns. Stafford lost one touchdown on a Kyrin Williams following a yard. short. You might have said that was the almost touchdowns earlier. I actually did that. Yeah. Thank you. You know, so that would have made his fantasy line a little bit better. But look, whenever you're getting the type of volume from him that we're seeing and then going into a game against Buffalo where Drake May just picked them apart, you know, there should be a big game coming up for
Starting point is 00:46:26 Stafford. So I think you should be encouraged by him if you, you know, didn't start him or you did start him and you got, you know, a lackluster stat line. And it's not just the Buffalo game. It's the next six games. Buffalo, Arizona, Las Vegas, Chargers, commanders, Cardinals. Don't say the Raiders. Yeah, Raiders and Chargers aren't great, but even if six are good. I don't mind taking on that past. I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:46:49 You're starting Stafford and all those games. Yeah, okay, okay. Yeah, probably. Okay, and we'll talk about Darius Cooper, I guess, on the Waver Wire show. Three catches, 30 years. Yeah, what an awesome touch. Did you see his first touchdown? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:04 How he ripped the ball away. from the defensive back. That was pretty awesome. Yep, sure did. That was awesome. New England 29, Buffalo 26. We have covered New England. Is there anything to say?
Starting point is 00:47:14 Anybody concerned about Josh Allen right now? He scored 17.5 points last week, 20.5 fantasy points this week and six point per passing touchdown leagues. Anyone concerned? To what level? You're not benching Josh Allen. So I don't know. Look, is he going to get you 50 every week or 40 every week?
Starting point is 00:47:34 No, no, that's just not realistic. So you know what this bike game is. will be, you're going to be some down games. And New England is still a really good defense. You know, I know they didn't have Gonzalez, but, you know, losing DJ more, probably negates that a little bit, despite the fact that Gianckelman had an amazing game. Cleo Shakir played well. You're just not getting the, the extra points from Josh Allen, which sucks.
Starting point is 00:47:54 And there's, like, he and Brock Purdy have scored 21 more fantasy points than any other quarterback this season. And he scored 20 in this game. Like, if this is his bad game, great. Yeah. I just hope, I mean, I don't think he was injured at all or anything like that. I think he got hit in the knee last week, but it didn't seem like he was, but, you know, seemed like he was running like his normal, normal self.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Okay, that's Josh Allen. Now, if DJ Moore were out next week, would you start, would you rather have Coleman or Shakir? I feel better about Shakir because I just, I know what that track record is with Josh Allen and how he's been with him for a while. Coleman played great. He's looked good the last couple of weeks. I'm happy for him. It's good to see.
Starting point is 00:48:39 And if he can keep it up, he can evolve into a number three receiver. Listen, again, Buffalo's defense isn't good. This is going to be their game script. So Josh Allen needs pass catchers, and Shakira has been a reliable guy for him for years. Keon Coleman has stepped up. There's something that I wanted to point out on Kincaid.
Starting point is 00:48:56 This was his first game of the season where he didn't have a route rate of two-thirds of Josh Allen's dropbacks. It was down to 54%. It reminds me of last year when the bills kind of managed how much work he'd get. And so a drop in snaps, a drop in routes played, another drop in targets. He has five total targets in his last two games. That concerns me. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:49:22 That's a good point. And those routes will get updated tomorrow. So they probably change a little bit. But still, they're going to be a little lower than what we want to see from Kincaid. Giants 36 Arizona 24. This came down to the final play of the game, which was a pick six by the Giants cornerback Deonté Banks was pretty crazy.
Starting point is 00:49:42 They've won the last two games with interceptions basically in the end zone. And earlier, he got beat by Marv Harrison for a touchdown. He did. You know, I wouldn't even say he got beat. I would say Marvin Harrison made a really nice catch. And there's a lot. He was in coverage.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Okay. Marvin Harrison, there's a lot that he can't do. But he can do that. He can make a nice jump ball catch, or he can drop it. You can also do that. But, yeah, I mean, Harrison, one catch for a touchdown. Michael Wilson, though, and we talked about the Giants and neighbors and whatnot,
Starting point is 00:50:14 likely getting all those targets. But Michael Wilson, 13 targets this week, 17 last week, seven catches for 95 yards. Heath, how confident do you feel of Michael Wilson rest of season? I feel like he's going to be, like, We talk about boom bust number three wide receivers, and he feels almost like a boom bus number two wide receiver. I think he's going to be very close to that wide receiver 24 ranking most weeks.
Starting point is 00:50:41 During the biweeks, probably a little bit higher. Still, I don't feel like he has this great floor that I can definitely count on. It's just that he might get double-digit targets any week. How would you guys rank Devante Adams, Michael Wilson, and Malik Neighbors' rest of season? Adams' neighbors, Wilson. neighbors, Wilson, Adams. Let me, Adam, did you watch this game for the Giants?
Starting point is 00:51:08 You were probably locked in, right? Pretty, fairly locked in. So was it Jamis throwing the ball well? Or was it Arizona's defense just letting guys run wide open? It was basically the same formula. James was pretty bad. James had some really bad moments and the interceptions were terrible. But he had a really good knack of escaping, extending plays,
Starting point is 00:51:29 and throwing like on the run out of the pocket. and getting chunk plays when the Cardinals defense and the broadcasters were talking about it too. Their zone defense, they really were bad. They just made coverage busts. There was that big play to, I think it was either fields or neighbors downfield where the guy was wide open on third and 20. So it was not like James Winston played that. Well, he made some good throws, but it was bad coverage, I would say, by the Cardinals. And on the other side.
Starting point is 00:51:57 So that makes me nervous about neighbors moving forward because he's not going to have matchups like this. 100%. That's what I was saying. Watching the Giants, I still feel like if they played a good defense, they'd be one of the worst offenses in football. But they play the commanders next week. They do. They have a generally pretty easy schedule. Washington, New Orleans, and then a bad stretch of Houston by Philadelphia, Washington, you know, whatever. There's a lot of good matchups.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Detroit and Dallas and the fantasy playoffs. I like that. All right. Malik neighbors are George Pickens, rest of the season. Pickens. I'll take Pickens. Pickens. Heath?
Starting point is 00:52:34 You could probably get that trade done. Probably. And you know what? I made a trade for Pickens last week. It was so damn smart. Three targets this week. Maybe we're just wrong. Maybe we're just wrong.
Starting point is 00:52:44 I think Jamie's right. He just needs to sign the contract so they'll start throwing it to him again. He can't throw. He can't sign the contract. It's too late. Baltimore 24. Tennessee 18, I believe.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Is that the score? Yeah, it's good notes. Yeah, well, I put 28 for Tennessee, but they definitely didn't. Cam Ward, first game throwing for more than 183 yards. We do have a little bit of a Carnell Tate thing going on here. Nine catches, 145 yards on 12 targets. Last week was solid.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I watched a lot of this game. And I thought the Titans offense looked surprisingly competent for large stretches. Good. So I think, yeah, I'm encouraged about Tate. I'm encouraged about Pollard, even though he only had 48 rushing yards. They're not going to be great, but I don't think they're going to be awful.
Starting point is 00:53:39 It's 16 carries and 17 carries two straight weeks now for Pollard. That's pretty good. Henry, with another inefficient game, but he scored a touchdown. Flowers is awesome. And Mark Andrews scored, and he was actually open for a second touchdown,
Starting point is 00:53:54 but Lamar missed him. How good is Zayflowers? Yeah, that's very funny. even without the bet you have to admit that flowers is just blowing away expectations i think i already did i nicknamed him zaysn you weren't there for that oh you did you did that that was you you did that greater late do you think andrews is an asset because like andrews he gets like his five five to seven targets every week um could have had two touchdowns today like how do you view him like andrews or kinkade kinkade i
Starting point is 00:54:31 Yeah, I still want to say Kincaid. Because to me, Andrews is more of a touchdown or bus tight end anyway. He doesn't score its 8 PPR points. Gentie or Henry. Which, frankly, we could have used from Benry. Kincaid. It's definitely Henry over Kincaid. Although Genties roll in the passing games nice, and we'll talk about that game, I guess, in a minute.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Go ahead. Chicago 23, Jets 12. The time of possession here, you almost can't believe. 42 minutes and 45 seconds for the Bears. 17 minutes and 15 seconds for the Jets. And this is one where I had the Giants game on one computer. I had the Jets game on another computer. I had Red Zone on my TV.
Starting point is 00:55:09 And I kept saying myself, okay, what is going on with the Jets offense? I'm going to sit. I'm going to watch. I'm going to see what's happening. And they're punting every time I look up. Yeah, they didn't get a single third down. It was unbelievable. There's defense.
Starting point is 00:55:23 I guess so. I guess so. Also, the Jets couldn't really get off the field on offense when they were on defense. No. And by the fourth quarter, they were. just getting run over by Menangai and a little bit of Roshan Johnson. Do you have this fear that the Jets, after a fairly encouraging first three weeks, are just going to become a terrible offense again?
Starting point is 00:55:45 I think they're going to suck the next two weeks and then be good against the dolphins. I mean, four of their next five matchups aren't great. Cleveland at New England, Miami, Raiders, at the Chiefs. What should I tell the Kenyan Sadiq manager right now? the guy just got a zero on four targets. Depends who your other tight end is, but you stash him. I mean, look, he's still got tons of potential. He just got the Detroit bump.
Starting point is 00:56:12 And so far, that's not happening for the Panthers. But, you know, everything fell in line for him last week, you know, with no Mitchell, no Taylor. This week, no Mitchell, no Taylor, but he's not playing Detroit. Almost half of their yards came on a deep ball touchdown to Isaiah. say of Williams in the fourth quarter when it was 23 to 6. Yeah, they have no threat of a run game right now, you know, because they're not going to fear Braylon Allen until he proves something. So that's going to be disappointing.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I think you just look at it as Wilson's a must-start guy, stash Braylon Allen, see what happens. You know, we don't know when Brise Hall's going to come back. When Bristall comes back, you have two must-start guys for the Jets, and that's kind of what it was at the start of the season. Okay, but to be fair, Brise Hall been running like garbage the last two weeks, and Braylon Allen had 14 carries for 59 yards. He had two catches for eight yards. that's really not bad when you have the ball for 17 minutes.
Starting point is 00:57:01 And Isaiah Davis didn't have a single touch. I don't think you're looking at it and saying, okay, it's going to be case by case. But like, anybody that just picked up brailing out as a one-to-one or had him as a replacement for a breeze hall as a handcuff, like that's an okay replacement option until you figure out whatever your next potential move is. So like if you're pivoting to, I'm trying to think,
Starting point is 00:57:25 if you're pivoting to Emmanuel Wilson in a 10 team league, if he's still available, or if you're pivoting to Shipley because he's going to be now the starter for the Eagles. What if it's Eckler? What if it's Eccler? What if you're pivoting to heckler? You know, that's, I'd probably still start by now because I know he's going to get carries. So like there's lots of different ways that this can go. So yes, maybe they have the ball a little bit more, but now they're playing what should be on paper,
Starting point is 00:57:49 a tougher defense in week five against the Browns. And can you really trust it with how this looked today? So I don't think Braylon Allen, correct me of them wrong. I don't know what a start percentage is was played today as a must start running back, probably in the 30s, right? 62%. Okay, so people treated him a little bit higher than that. So that's a disappointing performance.
Starting point is 00:58:08 We'll see what happens moving forward, where his start percentage will lie, especially with two teams now want to buy and more injuries. Okay, and let's get to the Bears, because the Bears are actually pretty interesting. The distribution of targets was a little bit different today. We had Romo Dunze, a big part of the offense. agent through 34 passes. You had O'Donzee getting seven targets, 94 yards. You had Khalif Raymond getting two targets, six yards.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Luther Burden, six targets, 63 yards. Loveland, nine targets, 57 yards. And the second week in a row kind of almost had a touchdown. He was targeted at the goal line. So his role, you know, was much better today, Colson Loveland. Heath, can we make sense of it? Do you think it's just going to be kind of a week-by-week thing with them? It seems that way.
Starting point is 00:58:52 I did not think that Bayjent played very, well in large stretches of this game. He probably got ahead four interceptions. Thank you. That's what I thought too. And I saw the numbers and it's like, am I crazy here? Yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 00:59:05 No, that's what I thought. It was nice to see that Romo Dunseh is not dropable. But yeah, it's frustrating because you can't go into, I mean, I guess if Menonga is out, then it's pretty easy to go in saying Swift is a must start. If Menonga is trying to play through something, then it's just a disqualification. disaster all the way around and everybody's just like they have the upside to be a top 12
Starting point is 00:59:29 option at their position and they have the downside to be a single digit score. Okay. You got to drop Khalif Raymond or should we hold on to him another week? I think you probably should answer that question. When you invest as much as I did, you hold it on another week. The only league I had in Kleefe Raymond was the one that you bid on him. Yeah, you're welcome. Okay, let's go to the late game.
Starting point is 00:59:55 San Francisco 24, Denver 14. And Bo Nix, still not really running. Only 10 rushing yards for Bo Nix. Scored 16.2 fantasy points. I can't imagine people want to ever start. J.K. Dobbins. He was 25% started. But R.J. Harvey, 16% started.
Starting point is 01:00:12 I have trouble with guys who are so, running backs who are just entirely dependent on catches. But he has 16 catches his last two games, Jamie. RJ Harvey, is he a thing? Or is he just a, I'm desperate. I'm going to throw RJ Harvey Harvey. be in. Well, I think he's a thing. You know, again, we have two teams on a buy and a bunch of injuries.
Starting point is 01:00:28 So, you know, whether he's a starting running back or a flex, you got to start to look at him as, you know, the more productive Denver running back. And if you, you know, go back to the start of what Alvin Camero was in his rookie season, like, this is how it began, you know, so maybe we're starting to see a little bit of that. I know it's a second year and you know what he was as a rusher. And then we'll see what happens when, you know, Jonah Coleman eventually comes back. But he just looks so much more explosive than Dobbins. It's hard to keep him off the field.
Starting point is 01:00:53 So this is looking like. anybody that got the discounted price on draft day when he started just a plummet, you might be reaping the rewards of it a little bit right now. But they just can't run the ball, I think, just as a team. So if they're going to be stuck in these situations and their defense hasn't been as dominant, so they're chasing points a little bit, that's going to benefit RJ Harvey as well. So not a must start running back, but certainly in the flex conversation, whether you're talking about replacing a wide receiver or potentially whatever running back situation you might be in.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Adam, did you see the passing chart I sent you for Bonax today? Yeah, that was great. Like everything was at the line of scrimmage. Very few passes were even like more than seven yards downfield. It was crazy. It's also been a disappointment, I think, from the standpoint, at least today, San Francisco's defense lines a mess, you know, and the fact that they couldn't run on this team. I said you, the noon show, like, I wondered if they were going to have an opportunity here,
Starting point is 01:01:47 like we saw last week against the 49ers, and just, they didn't even play J.K. Dobbins early in the game. It was a little weird. and Waddle did get the touchdown. Five catches, 35 yards and a touchdown. Evans had a good game. Sertan left around halftime. I wasn't watching. I didn't see if Sartan was shadowing Evans.
Starting point is 01:02:05 He was on Kittle a little bit. Well, yeah, at one point he was on Kettle. He was not on. Evans caught a pass on the play. Sertan got hurt, and Sertan was not on Evans. Then he was on a different receiver. I think Evans was in the slot on that play,
Starting point is 01:02:16 but you're absolutely right about that. Anyway, would you rather have Evans or Waddle the rest of season? still Waddle. Waddle. Still Waddle. He had a bad job, too. Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah, the Niners, I mean, like, Debo Samuel,
Starting point is 01:02:32 zero targets last week, six targets this week. I don't really... He just continues to produce in the funniest way possible. Three carries for 44 yards in this game also. And Kittle is another guy. He's not going to get a ball in his hands.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Like that... Kittle has two games with four catches for 60 or 70, for 70 or 80 yards and a touchdown. Yeah. This is George Kittal. Have you met him? I mean, a little bit,
Starting point is 01:02:58 but the target volume is not really that good. This is George Kittle. All right. He's had 85 target seasons where he was the tight end too. Minnesota 15, Miami 10. And another time of possession game, Minnesota had the ball from more than 39 minutes of this game. What are we thinking about, Allie Gordon?
Starting point is 01:03:18 I think he deserves a little more talk here. Dave, we did briefly mention it, but I mean, would you try to sell high on Ali Gordon, ride it out? Sure. I wouldn't expect him to average 11.1 yards per carry. Is he going to be Miami's best running back? Sure. Is he going to do this? No.
Starting point is 01:03:35 So it's amazing how fantasy works and how the NFL works, where he currently has the best game for fantasy of a dolphins running back this season. And it came against the Vikings of all teams in a one-score game where the dolphins were in it in the fourth quarter. So it's crazy how things work, but I don't know how much he can necessarily build on it. He's been like around three yards per carry, sometimes even lower than that in his short time in the NFL. I just think he got a great 53-yard run, had a couple of other good run, scored the short-yardage touch. I was a 12-yard Dutchman.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I guess I can't say it's short-yardage. Is he startable? Yeah, I think he's startable. Am I going to buy into it and say like he's going to be a must-start fantasy running back? I feel like I need to see more before I say that. Okay. I like how our producer is a Vikings fan. And I don't know if there's a graphic where it's just,
Starting point is 01:04:31 the majority four out of five is like. Get Jordan Addison on there and put Malik Washington on there. I figure there's nobody else, nobody's starting. Oh, you're not starting any dolphins, right? Everybody started hockey. I mean, Monique Washington had a better pain. I like, no, T.J. Hawkins is a start for a footage. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:48 Yeah, no, but I just wanted to show how bad, Kyler Murray was. We get it. You were right to do it. No will. I had an entire bear's full screen. If you didn't even notice,
Starting point is 01:05:01 I didn't have a single jet on there. Oh, I didn't notice. Yeah, I didn't notice. Oh, NFC North bias. That's true.
Starting point is 01:05:10 I think it's unfortunate that Addison had the big game last week, Hockinson, the big game this week, but I just feel like when Jefferson comes back, it probably won't matter.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Yeah. Right. But I guess, Jefferson playing in New Orleans next week is going to be big. I think I'm going to regret not drafting Justin Jefferson. Kansas City, yeah. I don't think Kyler looks. I don't think Kyler looks very good at all.
Starting point is 01:05:33 I don't know about that, Adam. He doesn't. Unless Carson wins gets in there. They're going to design so much stuff for him. Like if T.J. Hawkinson can have a game like this, and Jordan Addison can have a game like he had last week, I think Jefferson. But Kyler might just trip over himself or something.
Starting point is 01:05:46 Well, then Carson Wentz will get in there. Kansas City 30. Las Vegas 27. Kenneth Walker was having a somewhat quiet day until the very end of the third quarter. He scored more than 21 fantasy points in every game so far this season. Massive Day for him.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Xavier Worthy had seven targets. What's going on with Kelsey Heath? This is for Kelsey, four targets. He had two targets last week. So kind of ugly and did not get the touchdown this week. Horrible game for Kelsey. Yeah, he probably lost five points on a tipped pass.
Starting point is 01:06:19 He had a target over the. the middle of the field where they just forgot to cover him. But then it got batted down by a linebacker. It's discouraging, especially with Rice going out and his involvement still being so low. It's strange because when he's gotten the ball in his hands, he's done incredible things. I think I'd probably say the same thing I said about Concade is you kind of like just have to put him in that tight-in 12-ish range. What do you guys make? His birthday tomorrow, too.
Starting point is 01:06:48 It's Kelsey's birthday tomorrow? Yeah. What do you guys make up as Michael Mayer game? 11% rostered, 1% started, 82 yards on 10 targets. He also caught a touchdown last week. I don't think they have a number two option in the passing game that's consistent. So Trey Tucker is the most logical receiver, but that doesn't mean that he's going to be the most targeted or the second most targeted player in the passing game. So I don't think you could trust Mayer to be a consistent fantasy option.
Starting point is 01:07:18 But again, as we go into a buy. weeks and you start to say, you know, I probably would still trust Dalton Schultz, but Hunter Henry and Sadiq and Darren Waller, depending on what happens tonight, you know, those type of guys. I think mayor belongs in the conversation with them. He plays a ton. And they run two tight end, three tight end sets a lot. They did today for sure. I agree.
Starting point is 01:07:41 David would almost argue that Brock Bowers is almost a wide receiver. Yes. Well, that's sure. That's kind of the way that they, I think when they paid mayor, that was. kind of the report that mayor is their inline tight end and bowers is more of their receiving option just you know plays like a receiver okay a couple more games here actually i'm sorry skip i didn't skip the raiders anything to say about gentie i mean uh yes i they started this game out and i think of the first eight carries five of them went to mike washington
Starting point is 01:08:13 and the the broadcast was talking a lot about how kubiak had said throughout the week Mike Washington had earned more work. And those Mike Washington carries didn't go very well. And so we saw more Ashton Genty from that point forward. I think the biggest thing is, like, sometimes he's the number two option in the passing game behind Brock Bowers. And as long as he has that role, a little bit of a split with Washington, who's probably going to be a home run hitter who strikes out three times a game, it's okay. Gentee's target per route run rate in four games. He had a lot of catches today,
Starting point is 01:08:54 but Kirk Cousins threw about 50 passes. His target per out run rate was 21% and 24% without Bowers, and then it went down to 10% in week three, back up to 17%, which definitely can live with that. You're not going to get to six catches every week, because again, a lot of passes times, but 10% would be a little low. 17% would be pretty good for Genti.
Starting point is 01:09:15 Chargers at Seahawks here. This ended up being a close game. Seven point game, I think. Didn't put the stupid score in. Were any of the Chargers touchdown? 30 to 23. Technically garbage time or because they got it back within seven, it was never garbage time.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Well, it was 27 to 6 in the third quarter when Vidal caught a pass for a touchdown. Yeah. Dave, let's talk about the running backs for the Chargers. You had nine carries. I'm really pissed off that Hampton. It had a decent game. Hampton, Keaton Mitchell.
Starting point is 01:09:47 I already pissed off that he had a decent game. Because I was so intent. I told everyone to sit him, and I sat him for Kleefe Raymond. And I also sat him for Manuel Wilson. I sat him for Manuel Wilson, too. Well, the Wilson call was great. But the thing is, like, the theory was right.
Starting point is 01:10:03 It was a terrible matchup. He ended up in a three-way timeshare here. He had nine carries, and he gets a late touchdown. It was absurd. Technically, he was third. the team and running back snapshot this is not a good game for amari and hampton i think that's the it was also not a good game for caliphany it is the way you said that was so funny why what i say
Starting point is 01:10:29 because i said it was a mistake it was a mistake that didn't work out and it wouldn't work out even if hampton didn't score the late touchdown he did look he did have a number like last week he had one nice run where he created yards this week he had more than once that was good so good for him but the chargers like this three-headed backfield and harbaugh said as much after the game videl actually started the game and he played a lot on passing downs it's i don't know i don't think you can feel great about any charges running back and you sure as hell can't look at amaran hampton and say oh yeah that's a that's a top 15 fantasy run there's just no way and this a whole the offensive line continues to be a mess.
Starting point is 01:11:14 The whole team continues to be a mess. Two of the worst interceptions you'll ever see were thrown by Justin Herbert today. I think Herbert does deserve credit, by the way, for taking a big shot to his ribs and staying in the game. So he might not be able to read safeties and linebackers, but he sure is tough. We've reached the point of Dave literally wanting to give Justin Herbert a participation trophy. credit for participating. I mean, he can't participate in fantasy lineups, so at least we can give him credit
Starting point is 01:11:45 for participating in an NFL game. What are some of the worst interceptions you've ever seen? James Winston. Max Brazmer against the Seahawks. Max Brozmer is one. But how about Justin Herbert, like, literally throwing it to a linebacker.
Starting point is 01:12:00 He didn't move. Didn't move. The linebacker shouldn't, was that Ernest Jones? He had no business being there. That was not nice. And then the first play of the game was an interception.
Starting point is 01:12:10 There have been so many confounding interceptions from a guy who's supposed to be like a super tier franchise QB. And he's making reads that like even like a competent high school quarterback would not make. Okay. Maybe he'll get him, Jeremiah Smith. There you go. Well, that is it for tonight's show. The Seahawks are the Seahawks, by the way.
Starting point is 01:12:37 We talked about Emmanuel Wilson and bad game by his standards for Jackson Smith and Jigba. He has no Zayflowers. J.S.N or ZayS.N rest of season? JASN. JASN. Jackson. Like, when do the Chargers get a win? Next year. No.
Starting point is 01:12:59 Next year. Denver next week. They could beat Denver. Denver's defense has. What in the world makes you think? that because they might be able to hold them to field goals Denver neither these teams can run the ball really well you consider like winning a game win or like when they fire him at mannail win well Denver's are next best chance because then it's the chiefs a buy and then the rams
Starting point is 01:13:25 i'm telling you based on what heath has done they're going to go two and oh against the chiefs and lose to everybody else that's fine perfectly fine chiefs go 15 and two chargers go at two and 15 it's fine week 18 they're at denver someone's sent me a text with a graphic that said this is the first time the Giants have been in first place in the NFC East since 2015. That can't be right.
Starting point is 01:13:49 Do you know the current first place teams? Maybe this late in the season. Yeah, who are they? The one on this. Okay. Current first place teams, the giants, the undefeated Vikings.
Starting point is 01:14:02 The Panthers, Saints, and Falcons are all tied for first, but the Panthers are winning right now, so I think they're technically in first. Two of them played played Tudmarnet. Yeah. The undefeated. Undefeated 49ers, not the Rams or Seahucks.
Starting point is 01:14:17 Yeah. And then the bills, the Browns, the Jags. Wait, aren't the Browns tied for first? I guess, yeah, they're tied with Baltimore, yeah. Yeah, okay. But the Browns are listed in first, so they must have strength of schedule. And then the only undefeated team in the AFC. The Chiefs.
Starting point is 01:14:38 It's only their defense were as good as Jacksonville's. That's true. All right. Denver's tough. When the Chiefs have to play them, I'm sure it'll be harder. Denver without two. So Denver Chargers next week could be Denver without their two cornerbacks and the Chargers without their two tackles. That'll be interesting.
Starting point is 01:14:54 And the rest of their offensive one. We will be back tomorrow with Beyond the Box Corps to break some more stuff down.
