Starting point is 00:00:00 This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports. What a play! Can you believe this? It's a no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Up to the races and he stays on his feet. It's just going to go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Okay, week five, let's dance, let's do it. I have a feeling I might hate fantasy week five when it's all said and done. And I'll tell you why in a little bit. Welcome to the show, everybody. Whether you love it or hate it, we're still going to set our lineups and have fun and hopefully win our leagues. I'm Adam Azer with Jamie Eisenberg. Jamie, which game are you most excited about this week? I was torn when you asked me this 30 seconds ago between the Lions and the Cardinals and the Bills and the Rams.
Starting point is 00:00:49 And I think I'm going to go to Lions Cardinals. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, a lot of points. It's the fantasy bonanza that we crave. We're very thankful for Lions Cardinals this week. Heath, which game would you make your worst enemy watch? There are so many this week. Really a lot of great options. But I will go with Giants commanders.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Are you trying to tell me something? Because I will be watching that game. On paper, it is looking like, just to me, in my opinion, such a bad week for quarterbacks. If you go through the quarterbacks and where they currently rank, not the weekly rankings, but where they rank in fantasy points this season. Josh Allen is QB1.
Starting point is 00:01:32 He faces the Rams. They allow the fewest yards per tempter in the NFL. QB2 is Brock Purdy. The last two times he faced the Seahawks, he scored a combined 10.5 fantasy points. QB3 and QB6 are on a buy this week. QB4 is Jared Gough. The Cardinals Lions game is our savior this week.
Starting point is 00:01:51 That is great. QB5 is Tyler Shuck. He gets Minnesota, hopefully with Chris Olave. Joe Burroughs, two wide receivers missed practice yesterday. Lamar Jackson is unlikely to play. So we might have a low scoring week here. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:02:06 I thought T. Higgins was at practice. He was not. They said he was going to be at practice, but then he was a DnP. There was two misleading reports yesterday, one positive, one negative. The Ramandre Stevenson report by Mike Rabel said he wasn't going to practice, then he was limited. The T. Higgins report said that he was going to practice and then he didn't play. Practice at all. Yeah, there were a few others, I think, where coaches said something and it didn't end up happening.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I can't remember what they were, but those were the big ones. But we still have some players that we love. So let's get into the players that we love brought to you by Stitch Fix. If you're like me in clothes shopping is not your thing. Stitch Fix has you covered. Get style today at Stitchfix.com slash football. Jamie, three players you love are Matthew Stafford Monday night, Emmanuel Wilson against San Francisco and Quinn-Judkins at the Jets.
Starting point is 00:02:52 So for Stafford, he's the start of the week. excited to see him take on this Bill's defense, which we know has been bad. And, you know, I think it kind of shows in our rankings how excited we are about Stafford for this week. So hopefully he delivers. He's had two really good games, two really crappy ones. But the last two games, he's been over 50 pass attempts. We know this Bill's defense has been very forgiving to a few quarterbacks. They make Drake May look much better last week with giving him, allowing him to go over 30 fantasy points.
Starting point is 00:03:17 He did that with 54 yards rushing. So take that into account. But this defense is not great. And Stafford should have another strong performance of best game so far this season. His only true home game was when he took on the Giants in week two. For Emmanuel Wilson, I think we're going to get another week of every touch going his direction, and the majority of every touch going his direction. He's now played 10 games in his career with at least 10 carries,
Starting point is 00:03:40 and he's scored 11.7 p.pr points or more in seven of them. So I think that's kind of the floor you should be looking at here. San Francisco's run defense has kind of been all over the place, struggling at times and looking a little bit better at others. but there have been four running backs that have scored at least 12.4 PPR points against them so far this season. And I think Emmanuel Wilson is going to be a very good number two running back, potentially once again as a number one guy. And Quintan-Duckins, I hope his role in the past game continues. It's two of the last three games.
Starting point is 00:04:06 He's had at least five receptions. So that's been, I think, a big boost to his production. Scored his first touchdown last week. He's not the same guy as Kyle Monong guy or Jemir Gibbs. But those two running backs have combined for 69 PPR points in the last two games against. this Jets defense. So Judkins has an opportunity here to be a very good number two running back as well. You like Judkins or Wilson better?
Starting point is 00:04:29 I like Wilson better. Heath, do you like Stafford this week? He's number one. Excellent. Let's go. Heath, three players you love this week. Jaden Daniels against the Giants, Braylon Allen against Cleveland and RJ Harvey at the Chargers.
Starting point is 00:04:44 What about the fact that Diggs and McLaurin both missed practice yesterday? It's Wednesday. what's over under eight and a half Wednesday practices for Stefan Diggs and Terry McClure and rest of season. They're wide receivers in their 30s with all types of health concerns. As long as one of them is playing, I think, listen, hopefully he can stay healthy. But I like Jaden Daniel's answer. They said, so how much do you have to protect the elbow if you're running? And it's third downs four yards away.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And he said, is it the fourth quarter? So I think he's still going to run a lot. I think when Jaden Daniels is active, you just start him. We all have them as a top 12 quarterback. I just like him the most. The Giants defense did some good things in the second half last week. I don't think this is actually a very talented unit right now, so I don't think they're going to provide much resistance.
Starting point is 00:05:35 And the commanders don't have a whole lot of a run game. Jaden Daniels might be their best passer and their best rusher. Jaden made reference to Emmanuel Wilson getting all of the Seahawks touches, Braylon Allen's literally gotten all of the Jets running back touches since Breeshall got hurt. It is not a great matchup against the Browns, but they do have a higher implied point total this week than they did last week. It was 19 and a half last week. It's 21 this week. They're the favorites.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And I expect him if they run a normal amount of plays, they were averaging 65 offensive plays per week through the first three weeks of the season. They ran 33 last week. That will make a big difference in whether. Braylon Allen's good, but you should expect around 60. You should expect around 20 touches for him. He's a must-start R.B-2 for me. And then I kind of buy the R.J. Harvey. I don't think he's going to have 10 targets per week, but this team can't run the ball very well.
Starting point is 00:06:31 And Bo Nix is throwing the ball about four yards per pass attempt. And R.J. Harvey is one of the best guys they have probably behind Jalen Waddle after the catch. So I still think we can really optimistically hope for six or seven. targets in this game. In full PPR only, he's a top 20 running back for me. He also has the biggest gap between his full PPR and non-PPR ranking. I'm interested, though, because he has been more efficient as a rusher so far this season than Dobbins. That's probably because he's played in more passing situations and had an easier defense to run against, but I wonder if we start to see a few more carries for Harvey. We've talked a lot about how bad he was as a
Starting point is 00:07:11 rusher last year. But he was also a rookie. He may have improved. He's been better this year. I also want to say with Braylon Allen, like Cleveland, their fifth best against running backs, but they're actually giving up 4.8 yards per carry to running backs. They just haven't a lot of touchdown yet. So, you know, like Basil Tuton, Bucky Irving, Chuba Hubbard, Jalen Warren, they all ran well against Cleveland. So maybe it's not such a bad matchup for Braylin Allen, even though, again, they haven't given up a touchdown yet. But who else? Who hadn't given up a touchdown? Who the Falcons play last week? Falcons played the Saints. Falcons hadn't given up a rushing touchdown going into last week's game.
Starting point is 00:07:45 They gave up two to Alvin Camara, so that's that you never know. All right. The only issue I have with Heath's picks right now is that he picked a couple of rain games. We've got to keep an eye on the weather this week because there's a hurricane going up the Gulf Coast, and it could impact some games. There also could be rain on the East Coast. So the Giants game in Washington, the Jets game in New York. I was trying to think of where the hurricane might affect.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Like Tennessee, I think. that's one of the games that Kevin Walker is looking at. Yeah. Yeah, it may be just be bad weather, but there might be like indoor stadiums there. But there could be some weather this week. We'll keep an eye on it right now, nothing too concerning.
Starting point is 00:08:26 All right, those are the players we love. Thank you to Stitchfix for sponsoring today's players we love. Stitchfix takes the hassle out of clothes shopping. Starting point is 00:08:52 That's stitchfix.com slash football. So it was Stafford, Emmanuel Wilson, and Judkins for Jamie. It was Jaden Daniels, Braylon Allen, and R.J. Harvey for Heath. Now to the players we avoid. Ramandre Stevenson for Heath against the Raiders. Alvin Kamara against the Vikings. Khalil Shakir. That one's interesting to me at Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:09:11 at the Rams on Monday night. Go for it, Heath. Yeah, let's start with Shakir, since that was the one that you thought was interesting. I'm a little bit worried. You mentioned Josh Allen against the Rams. I'm a little bit worried about the receivers that we just picked up off the waiver wire. Shakir and Keon Coleman, neither one were my top two wide receivers to pick up this week. The Rams have not allowed a wide receiver to have more than 50 receiving yard in a game. It's kind of like the opposite of the Brown situation.
Starting point is 00:09:43 They've given up quite a few fantasy points to wide receivers because they give up three touchdowns to the 49ers wide receivers in week one. I think they gave up two touchdowns to Darius Cooper last week. But they have shut receivers down in terms of yardage. So I would rather, if Jamar Chase is out, I'm not we're expecting T. Higgins to play right now. But if both were out for sure. But if Chase is out, I'd rather start Myers for the Bengals. I'd still rather start my guy, Malik Wye.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Washington. If you have to start him as a flex or if you're just, I know a lot of people are desperate. You don't have to run away from him. But Ramandre, it just feels too risky to me for what the upside is. He's still getting fewer rush attempts per game than Trayvion Henderson. He's not 100% healthy right now. He has probably the biggest, if the ball gets knocked out of his hand, he doesn't get to play for a while risk. and so we're kind of counting on him having a really good day receiving.
Starting point is 00:10:45 I think he's more of a flex than an RB2. And it was a great first game for Elvin Camara without, it was a second without A-N. I don't really buy it. Yeah, and Jamie and Dave are right there with you on Camara. You all have him 27th to 29th, so to Sportsline. But Stevenson, if we go back to the Stevenson graphic and look at the rankings there, Jamie, you have him 19th, Dave 17th, Heath 27th.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So, Jamie, why the optimism for Ramandre Stevenson against the Raiders? I mean, it's really just about the touchdown and catch potential that he's shown. And so I'm hopeful more so than anything else that the Patriots offense got back on track a little bit last week. I think this is a tougher defense that they're playing. So there's not a lot of running backs that I love, to be honest with you. I probably should put Braylon Allen ahead of him when I saw that he was 20th and that Remandre's 19th. So if I had that decision, that's one that I would change, is Braylon over Ramandre. So it's not a slam dunk.
Starting point is 00:11:44 And to be honest, I wouldn't even say it's a guarantee that he plays. I know that he got in a limited practice yesterday, which is a positive sign. But it didn't sound very optimistic from what the beat writers were saying yesterday. So we'll see what's going on there in full. I would love to see a couple of Trevion games. Not that I have a lot of stock in either of these two running backs. I think maybe two teams of Ramon, two teams of Trevion. So I'm going to be happy in one sense and disappointed another.
Starting point is 00:12:11 But I think it'd be fun to just see what Trevion could do. You know, as we saw last year, he was so amazing. Average 24 PPR points per game somewhere in that neighborhood in the three games that Ramandre missed. And two of those games were over 28 points. So let us sit for a game. Yeah, pretty good. 12.7 points, 28 points and 32.3 fantasy points in PPR for Trayvion Henderson in those three games.
Starting point is 00:12:35 All right. back to the players to avoid. Jamie's got Tyler Shuck against Minnesota. Oh, man. Ali Gordon against the Bengals and all of the Eagles in London against the Jaguars. Yeah, Shuck is not necessarily like a must-sit guy. I do have him ranked 12, so he still in the top 12s. Looks like Heath agrees with me.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Minnesota is just so dominant at pressuring the quarterback, and we saw what it looked like for Shuck against Atlanta. Like, he was running for his life. I know he was only sacked twice, but he was just hit over and over and over again. And so I think you just got to put it in perspective. Like, this is just not going to most likely be a great week for Tyler Shuck. So I'm not necessarily running to the waiver wire to replace him. The only guy that I would start over him that we weren't considering as a starter prior to this week,
Starting point is 00:13:20 at least in the majority leagues would be Jacoby Brissette because I love his matchup against Detroit. But Chuck, if you can find a replacement for him, I think it's the right. If you can find Brissette on waivers, that's the guy that I would start over him. But the volume should still be there for him. Leads the NFL in past temps with 180. and so hopefully you can find a way into a little bit better production, the 17 points he gave you last week, as Adam alluded to, I think, on Wednesday show,
Starting point is 00:13:42 if one of those two short-yard touchdowns from Camaro goes to Shuck, it's a much better stat line, and you feel a little bit better just about the way that he came out of that game. But if Alave sits for whatever reason, then you're going to see Shuck. I'm sure Heath would be in agreement, like just plummeting down the rankings there at quarterback. In the case of Ali Gordon, look, it was great.
Starting point is 00:13:59 You got rewarded with the fad that you spent on him, and I hope that he has another solid performance. It was nine carries. a long run, got a touchdown against a team that doesn't typically give up touchdowns. And now he's facing another one. The Bengals won't allow two touchdowns to running back so far the season. One was last week with Chris Rodriguez. So it sounds like Ollie's going to remain in the lead role.
Starting point is 00:14:18 It also sounds like, according to Halfley, like they're going to give a little bit more work to Jaylen Wright also is coming back from the foot injury. So we'll see how just this split goes. I think he's a good flex. I hope he has another strong game. It would be amazing that Ali Gordon ends up with better production per game than Devon A-chan. but that's the case so far, the two games that he's played the majority of snaps.
Starting point is 00:14:36 He's been the best Dolphins running back so far this season. But I'm just being a little bit, I'm just a little concern taking on the bangles with, I think their run defense is still very good. I know they've been a production to running backs fantasy-wise. It just hasn't been in the way I think that Olly Gorton's going to get there without scoring a touchdown. And then the third guy, I forgot already who it is. It's the Eagles. And I don't just ask, like, if Dallas Goddard plays because he was limited yesterday, would
Starting point is 00:14:59 you change your opinion about it? No, no. I'd be a little concerned that he's going to. going to be on a snap count. Look, they've, they lost two offensive linemen this week. Cam Jurgens, I don't think it was guaranteed to play, but they trade Jurgens to Baltimore. Lane Johnson retires, no Sequan Barkley, no Tank Bigsby, most likely no Devante Smith. Jalen Hurst threw for 93 yards last week, and they're playing the Jaguars, which, who has a defense right now that looks to be one of the more dominant ones in the league. So I just don't think
Starting point is 00:15:26 this is a good opportunity to play the Eagles unless you're stuck. Like I'm stuck in one league. I had to overpay for Will Shipley. I hate it. I hope he has a strong performance at least gives you something in the neighborhood of a top 30 running back this week. But I just have no confidence in the Eagles offense right now. I don't know how anybody can. I think Will Shipley might be my favorite Eagles player this weekend. And it's not because of the running. I do think he's going to have to share early downs. But every single week, the Jags have given up at least five catches to a running back. Last week, it was 11 to Chase Brown. And I think Will Shipley will be the past catching back.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I wish that was something that Jalen Hurts did with some success, though. That's the problem is that, you know, we're set up here for a game that should be a running back, past friendly, a past catching, a past catching running back should have a friendly performance here because of the situation, the opponent and everything that goes into it. Like, I hope that's something Sean Mannion is like, we have to do this. Let's do this. Let's work on this. Let's keep it going.
Starting point is 00:16:23 You know, so there'll be some receiver that has a good performance. My guess is you get better showing from Wix. Could be a touchdown from Cooper. If Godder plays, he's definitely in the conversation. There's just so many good streaming tight ends this week that why would you risk it with playing Goddard less than 100%. Well, because Devante Smith's not playing. I mean, if he were 100%, what a great opportunity this would be. And I don't know how.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Agreed. I don't know how injured he is. I mean, I don't know that he's going to be on a snap count. What if he gets in a full practice on Friday or something like that? I mean, it's a great opportunity. There is one thing the Jaguars have struggled with, and it's been number one wide receivers. We'll talk about that game. It's the first game.
Starting point is 00:17:00 we're previewing. We'll talk about it pretty soon. We can make the case for Wix, but it could be Darius Cooper is the number one receiver. Could be McCoy Lemon. That's the problem. Being seven and a half point underdogs is crazy. Is it? No, I mean, just to see the Eagles as seven and a half point underdogs is crazy. I get, I mean, they kind of,
Starting point is 00:17:19 I don't think officially, but it felt like they waved the white flag yesterday with the trade. I mean, maybe. Yeah, I guess Juergens was playing guard because Dickerson was out, and he wasn't doing very well at guard. They liked their center, apparently. They got a second round pick and a fifth round pick out of it, I think. But yeah, it's concerning. I think a lot of teams could be touchdown underdogs
Starting point is 00:17:44 if they didn't have three of their five starters at the offensive line. Their number one wide receiver, their number one running back, or their number one tight end. I know. I'm not saying it's a wrong spread. It's just you don't see the Eagles at seven and a half point underdog area. And look, to be fair for them, They did get Bonn back at practice.
Starting point is 00:18:01 They did get Quinnian Mitchell back at practice. You know, those were two guys that they missed last week. And Mitchell, who knows if you... I'm sorry, Mitchell got hurt last week, but there was some thought that he wasn't going to play. So that's a positive for their defense. Huge. Yep. All right, we got more injuries for you in a minute.

It does a great job in keeping me on track. So I love using whoop to help me get through what is a grind from now until January. So make sure you're checking out whoop for more. Head to whoop.com. Okay. Injuries, news and notes. Lamar Jackson may not play. That's a Sunday night game. Jaden Daniels is expected to play. Running back. news. Ramandre Stevenson was limited. He has a chance to play this week, but we're not super optimistic right now. Chorri Croski Merritt and Rashad White were both limited.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Breece Hall still week to week. RICO Dowdell was limited. That's a bummer if you have Jalen Warren. Sequin Barclay missed and they elevated Damien Pierce, the Eagles did. Who leads the team in carries this week? Shible. Yeah, but it's not a big gap. Zach Charbonnet was limited, but we've already been told he won't play this week. George Halani was limited. Chris Brooks mispractice. And, you know, we got five catches, I think,
Starting point is 00:21:03 for Marshall and Lloyd last week. So maybe it shouldn't be overlooked. We had Caleb Johnson have a decent game before he fumbled. Tony Pollard missed practice, but he's fine, I think. Kyle Menangai and D'Andre Swift both missed practice. Are you guys concerned about either Menangai or Swift missing this game? Not yet. So Ben Johnson talked a lot about his running backs yesterday.
Starting point is 00:21:22 And he said, talked about in length about DeAndre's fumbling and how he has to fix that. He said in regards to Monongai, he's not, I'm going to paraphrase, he's not concerned about the thumb, but more just giving him rest from general shortness after all the work that he had. So it sounds like both should be fine, but obviously if one misses, the other one becomes more than just the must start guy, like top 10 potential for that particular running. Camara mispractice.
Starting point is 00:21:52 You got, you know, remember he got hurt during the game and then he came back in, so probably okay. And Jeremiah Love was limited, but they've said that he should be fine for this week, Jeremiah I love. Now to the wide receivers, Jordan Addison has minor hamstring soreness. He should be fine. And Justin Jefferson was limited and he's planning to play, but it's not a guarantee for Justin Jefferson and the Viking sign Odell Beckham. Jamar Chase and T. Higgins both mispractice. Right now, we're ranking T. Higgins. We're not ranking Jamar Chase. Malik neighbors mispractice with knee swordness. This is we have to keep an eye on. He said he was more sore than usual. So obviously this would be terrible for James Winston
Starting point is 00:22:25 if you have to stream him this week at Washington. Chris Olave was given a rest day. They held a walkthrough, so Olave was listed as a non-participant. We've got to keep an eye on Chris Olave's status. Stefan Diggs and Terry McLauran mispractice. At least McLaurin was able to work off to the side. As he said, they're
Starting point is 00:22:41 in their 50s and they're, you know, injured, so they're going to miss practice. Devante Smith mispractice. Jalen Naylor's in the concussion protocol. Deontay Thornton could play this week for the Raiders. Keenan Allen was limited in practice so maybe he works his way back.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Mack Holland's mispractice. Adonai Mitchell was still week to week. Tank Dell was limited. Caleb Douglas mispractice. Doesn't sound like he's ready yet. Zay Flowers was limited with a foot injury. Rashah Bateman has a shoulder issue. And Ladd-McConkie missed practice.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Actually, did he miss practice? He did mispractice. There was another one, I believe. There was a pre-practice report that he was going to practice and then he did not. There it was. But at least there's a little optimism,
Starting point is 00:23:19 I guess, about McConkey. and Quentin Johnson was limited. By the way, with Keenan Allen practicing in a limited version yesterday, would you rather have Keenan Allen or an Eagles wide receiver this week? Kenan Allen. Probably Wicks for me.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Keenan Allen or Dante Myers. Myers, if any of the Bengals guys are out. Yep. Even if just one of them's out. Myers, if any of the Bengals guys are out. Okay. I'm going to read you a Dante Myers quote. It's about him.
Starting point is 00:23:49 It's from Bengals. Jack Taylor put the 5-11 186-pound Myers in some elite company when talking about his ability to make tacklers miss, a stat that Myers leads next-gen stats for NFL receivers with multiple catches. Quote, in terms of make-miss bursts to go get big plays, he's close to Jamar as we've probably had. Jamar's obviously top of the chain there in terms of any ball he catches, he can go to the house.
Starting point is 00:24:16 And Dante, I think, is probably next in line with that ability. pretty cool. Mason Taylor practiced in full. Heath, do you think that affects Adonai Mitchell? No, because I don't think Adai Mitchell's going to play. It might affect Kenyon Sadiq. That guy. If Mason, I'm I think the high guy on Sadiq and the only one with him in the top 12, I did not have Taylor ranked, so I would lower him a little bit, but I think Sadeek would still be the guy. Isaiah likely was limited and Dallas Goddard was limited. The offensive lines that are really beat up are the Eagles. The Vikings right now with their left tackle, Christian Darry saw and the concussion protocol,
Starting point is 00:24:56 their right tackle limited, their right guard, I think, out. Maybe their left guard out. Atlanta's left tackle, Jeth Matthews' mispractice. The chargers are obviously a complete mess. And Chicago's offensive line right now is pretty beat up. We'll check the Thursday practice report. And the Cardinals, too. You got Paris Johnson, their left tackle out for the season,
Starting point is 00:25:16 and right guard Isaiah Adams out for the week against Detroit. There are some big defensive injuries, but we'll, I think the most important one to know, I don't know if it matters for the Patriots. It does matter, I think, for Brock Bowers, because I think Gonzalez would line up on Bowers. Bowers lines up out wide almost 50% of the time, which is so much more than any other tight end. Christian Gonzalez missed practice, and so did the other cornerback, Carlton Davis. One question for each game.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Eagles are at the Jaguars. Jamie starters hit Trevor Lawrence. I would start him. I think the concern would obviously be the lack of volume that we may see here because of what the Eagles probably fail to do. But I still think Trevor Lawrence always has the potential for a big game based on what his profile is. I'm just hoping that he has to push the tempo a little bit and play a little bit to the level that I think we need from an upper echelon quarterback. But you kind of ran down the list of players for this week and some of the games and performances. And I just don't think this Eagles defense right now is playing very well.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I would trust Trevor Lawrence as a top 10, potentially top five quarterback. I might have him ranked a little too I. Jamie's got him fifth, Dave's sixth. He's 10th for Lawrence, and he is actually on paper having a phenomenal year. 69% completion rate, which is unheard of for him. 8.1 yards per attempt, it's never been higher than 7.2. The air yards have basically been the same, so that's not why the completion rate is better. The off-target rate much lower.
Starting point is 00:26:44 This is going to be the Trevor Lawrence section. When we get to the game, we're going to skip them. Would you start Trevor? So, yeah, I just want to point that out. Like the Jaguars, they don't run plays. They are like, they've run like the third fewest plays. They're really low in pace. He hasn't thrown 30 passes yet, but he is playing great.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Would you start Trevor Lawrence or Tyler Shuck? Lawrence. I have Lawrence one spot higher. Preset or Lawrence? That's when I'm probably going to switch and go Preset. Lawrence for me. Lawrence or Purdy? Pertie.
Starting point is 00:27:17 I think I have already one spot higher. All right. Next game is the Colts at the Steelers. Heath, Josh Downs or D.K. Metcalfe? That may be determined by Keenan Allen. Right now I have Josh Downs ahead of D.K. Metcalfe.
Starting point is 00:27:32 They've kind of been similar in that they're getting, we love the targets. We haven't always loved the actual fantasy production. I will take Downs over DK if Keenan Allen's out. I will take D.K. over downs if Allen plays. Cincinnati's at my. Jamie, Jamie, if one of the Bengals receivers played, let's say Higgins plays and Chase sits, who would be the second best wide receiver in this game? Dante Myers.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Over Malik Washington. Yes. Heath, you agree? No. You like Malik Washington. You know, big Malik Washington guy. No, they're like 28 and 30. So they're very close.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Okay. And that's with Higgins play. Okay. Right. If Higgins were out, where would you? you guys ranked Dante Myers? Ahead of downs, ahead of Metcalf, top 20, Roger Cere. Probably 24-ish.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Okay. Cleveland's at the Jets. Brelin Allen or Denzel Boston, Heath? Braille and Allen, for sure. Like, Boston has that big playability and may even have more weekly upside, but it's very difficult to be a guy that you just want to start every week with his A-DOT. You've referenced it before. Like he's just getting a lot of stuff down to downfield right now.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And he had a 60-yard gain on busted coverage last week. Otherwise, I think it was 60. It was a big chunk. Otherwise, it really wouldn't have been a very good game for Boston. Okay, next game is Denver at the Chargers. Jamie, what matters more when you preview and project Denver at the Chargers? The Chargers' offensive line injuries or the Broncos cornerback injuries? the chargers inept everything uh yeah they're offensive line matters more do you think they're going to
Starting point is 00:29:20 struggle in this game yeah i mean they struggled every game so do you think they're going to struggle in this game yeah no you face the broncos you face the broncos without sartan and maybe without riley moss but the last three times they play without sartan i think it was just him at four times actually um they actually they were great i mean it was three times. Yes, they were great defensively. They have a lot going for them. They have a great pass rush. That's the key. Yeah. Houston's at Tennessee. Start or sit,
Starting point is 00:29:50 Carnell Tate. Heath, would you believe the Texans allow the most fantasy points to wide receivers? I would believe that. It's factually true. I am starting Carnal Tate as a number two wide receiver. It is a little bit risky, especially with the change in defensive play caller. But he's been really good lately. and he is the clear number one wide receiver, and he was a first round rookie wide receiver that we all think is very talented, and the Texans haven't been good yet, so I'm starting him.
Starting point is 00:30:23 And I skipped a game. Raiders at the Patriots, Jamie, is Romeo Dobbs a must start? The Raiders have allowed the six fewest points to wide receivers, but again, this is kind of a touchdown thing. They've already allowed 70 or more yards to four receivers. Is Romeo Dobbs a must start? No, but he is. In three receiver leagues, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:40 In two receiver leagues, he's in that blob of Cardinal Tate and Denzel Boston and probably should still be D.K. McCaff and Josh Downs and Dante Myers with or without any other guys. There's just a lot of guys that you can make cases for and against. He's had two very good games. He's had two very mediocre games in terms of Romeo Dobbs. He's coming off on nine target game where Drake May look great. It also was against Buffalo. So take that into account. I just think you've got to be realistic with Romeo Dobbs.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Like, if you have him and you need him, start him. If you have better options, which hopefully you do, then you probably shouldn't. He's 50% started for a reason. Yeah. I changed my take on this game as I did some research, and I'm excited to hear what you guys think about it. We'll get to that game. That's game number four, Raiders and Patriots. Also, funny comment from Johnny Airport.
Starting point is 00:31:27 That shirt color really brings out Adam's eye. Yeah, wearing a bright red shirt. Beautiful. Philadelphia is at Jacksonville. This game is in London. and I talked about Trevor Lawrence who's twice been good for fantasy, twice been bad.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Hopefully he can throw more, but we discussed him in one question for each game. And Jalen Hertz is a sit. You know, things should get better for them. They threw for 93 yards last week and they ran 47 plays in 23 minutes. But yeah, he's a sit. All right, Heath, what do you think about Will Shipley, Damien Pierce?
Starting point is 00:32:03 I think that we'll probably see around, round 13 rush attempts for Shipley, probably five to eight for Damien Pierce. I think most of the targets go Shipley's way. It's just whether it's three targets from Jalen Hertz or five or six, like it probably should be in this matchup. I would view Shipley as a high-end flex. Pierce, you're only adding in very deep leagues. I'd rather not have to start any of them.
Starting point is 00:32:32 How would you rank Shipley compared to Romeo Dobbs and Carnell Tate? and Dante Myers and those guys. Tate is the top of that list for me. In full PPR, I would also have Dante Myers over him. Who was the other one? Dobbs.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Dobbs and him are kind of the same guy for me. I think there's good potential for both of them. I would probably start Shipley. Who's your favorite Eagles wide receiver? Wicks. Jamie?
Starting point is 00:33:07 Yeah, I would agree. You know, last week was disappointing, but much tougher opponent. So you hope to see something that you saw in the first two games from Wix, where he was 12 PPR points or more. It's been a little bit of a downward spiral for him the last couple of games. But I think that's just the type of player that he is. He's going to have some strong performances and some disappearing games. I just go back to, you know, the start of the show with players to avoid. Like, if you could avoid Eagles, this is the week to do it.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Yeah, I just think God are really, I mean, I'd be more interested in him. him. The first game of the year, he only played one, he got hurt in the second game. First game of the year, he had four catches, 77 yards and two touchdowns. And now no, Devante Smith. I don't know. Jamie didn't seem too optimistic about it. No, I think he's definitely in the, the back end, the back end, you know, so, like, we're discussing today on CBS Sports Network, your favorite, like, backup tight end or, you know, guy that's ranked in the top, in the 13 through 24 range, consensus-wise. So, like, Heath has Sadiq as a guy. that he is interested in. And you can definitely make a case for him based on how he should have performed last week if they threw the ball a little bit more, given his target share. I would rather go back to Colston Loveland over Dallas Godder just based on what he showed last week. Tyler Higby's coming off a strong game. You still have Dalton Schultz getting, for the most part, being the second guy in terms of targets.
Starting point is 00:34:30 That's a guy you could debate versus Dallas Goddard. Jake Ferguson's got a great matchup tonight. You could debate him versus Dallas Goddard right now. I hope in a week from now that's not the case. It's just if you're Jacksonville, like, what are you trying to take away? They don't have a lot to have to worry about to take away. This team has just stripped so down to its core without any of their star players there, plus a bad offensive line and a quarterback who's struggling.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Like, there's just a whole mess of things going on here for Philadelphia. Pretty bad. Okay. Then let's move over to the Jaguars, Bejal Tootin, starter Sid Heath. He's an RB2. You're probably starting him. but it could be a situation where you had two better running backs. I'd love to see them just put more on his plate.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Give him some more catches. Give him some more opportunities. Don't take him out of the goal line. He could, he could, in theory, be a top 10 fantasy running back. That's the potential with the way this offense is performing and how he's looked. I tried to acquire him yesterday in our Superflex league. I offered Omari and Hampton straight up for Bejel Tuton, and it was rejected. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Yeah, because they don't take him out at the goal line all the time. He does have two one-yard rushing touchdowns, and he's just playing so well. Chris Rodriguez is really not much of a factor. He does get in sometimes as short-yardage, but it's nowhere near an even split. So, yeah, I mean, that could have been. I thought it was an interesting trade offer, but I'm pretty high on Tutin. Jamie's got him 15th, Dave 14th, Heath, 19th. Tudin and Emmanuel Wilson are basically back-to-back for all of you.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Jamie with Emmanuel Wilson slightly ahead. Heath with Tudin slightly ahead. Dave with Tudin slightly ahead as well. Okay. And then the Parker Washington, is that the only wide receiver you want to start? Yeah. You know,
Starting point is 00:36:20 Jacobi Myers has one great game. He had a touchdown in week one. He's had three or four games with four targets or less. And so Mitchell playing, I don't think that helps him. It's just a matter of like, they can pick and choose who they want to,
Starting point is 00:36:35 you know, get involved here. Like, that's Liam Cohen's, I think, evil genius. Like, you know, the New England game was Myers, but I don't know if that was a revenge factor or not, but it's just hard to bank on anybody else besides Parker Washington. Like last week, you know, I was moderately excited about Brent Strange,
Starting point is 00:36:53 who really only had to do with the Bengals matchup, and he comes out and has a strong performance. I don't think you can count on that again. Let's read some questions here to help us out here. Parker Washington or Josh Downs? Washington. Yeah. Parker Washington or
Starting point is 00:37:10 Bucky Irving. Parker Washington. Yeah. Jacoby Myers or Dantavian Wix? Wicks for me. I guess Wix. Wix, Godwin, or Dante Myers? Myers.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Unless both wide receivers for the best play. Yep. Tuton, Golden, McLaren, or Parker, Washington? Pick one. Just need one? Wow. Parker.
Starting point is 00:37:41 I'd go Parker. Brail and Allen, Bejel Tootin or Emmanuel Wilson, pick two. I would sit, Braylon Allen. I would sit Wilson. Shipley or Ramandre Stevenson?
Starting point is 00:37:57 Man, Ramonre, if he plays. That'll probably come down to whether Remandre gets in a full practice for me. Dallas Goddard or Kenyon Sadeek. This is one I probably would go Goddard, but it's close. I think the tight-in position
Starting point is 00:38:10 as of Thursday morning is the most unsettled. So like if Mason Taylor's back and Dallas Goddard gets a full practice on Friday, then I'd probably go Goddard. But I don't really think Goddard's going to play this week.
Starting point is 00:38:25 The Jaguars DST is a must start. The Eagles DST is 8th for Heath but 23rd for Jamie. Yeah, I'd moved him down to, I do think that they might have, like I don't think the players are giving up. And the defense, sounds like it's mostly going to be at full strength.
Starting point is 00:38:42 And I think they have a lot of talented guys. So I do think they could have kind of a last stand kind of game. But they're down to 13th now for me. Okay. They'd be so disappointing, though. I mean, they are. Yeah. The thing is like, it's a really winnable division.
Starting point is 00:39:00 In fact, I might still pick them to win the division. I don't even know. I mean, just like, I know the Giants and the commanders aren't that good. Are the Cowboys? I don't know. They lost the Giants. with dart. But yeah, I mean, they shouldn't give up here.
Starting point is 00:39:15 They could definitely win the division. I don't think they're giving up. I mean, you know, look, they got value for a player that, I don't know if he's a free agent end of the season. So I don't know what that factors. So Juergens, okay, so they still am under contract. Like you said, he wasn't playing his, he wasn't playing the position he was in as well as he would probably play his normal
Starting point is 00:39:32 position, his natural position. So that makes sense for the ban, for the Ravens to go get a center given what they're looking at. but it just feels as if when their best offensive lineman and a cornerstone of their franchise, I know there's off-field situation going on there, retires. And then they trade away another offensive lineman, which when you looked at this team, that was still one of the strengths of this team. And now you don't know when Barclay's going to come back.
Starting point is 00:39:56 You don't know when Devante Smith is going to come back. The quarterback obviously has issues, as we've noted time and time again, and it gets magnified when he doesn't have his players there. So the way that they've looked in barely being. the Titans and losing the last two weeks, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence for what they're looking at rest of season. So to his point,
Starting point is 00:40:15 obviously the defense is still mostly intact when they're healthy. They should be able to carry them in some games. We've seen that now with two franchises that are expected to have great defense is not doing so, the Texans and the Eagles. So can the Eagles bounce back? It just doesn't feel like it against a team that seems to be as one of the cornerstone
Starting point is 00:40:34 top tier teams of the league right now. It's interesting because if you look at the past blocking grades and stuff, I don't think Jacksonville's offensive line is actually playing very well. No, it's one of the worst I could. So it is an opportunity if the Eagles can, but they haven't played up to the potential yet either. When I checked last week,
Starting point is 00:40:55 there were only two teams that were per ESPN that were top 10 in both run blocking and pass blocking. And I'm looking again now. The bills and the Rams are, are the only and the nineers. Three teams that are top 10 in both run block
Starting point is 00:41:14 and pass block win rate according to ESPN. We have strayed too far from the subject. Colts and Steelers. My son just got an interesting tradeoff for regarding the Eagles. He just texted me.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Okay. He would be giving up Omari and Hampton and Parker Washington and getting Sequan Barclay and A.J. Brown. What? Sequan Barclay and A.J. Brown for who? Hampton and Parker, Washington?
Starting point is 00:41:35 Yeah, I told him no. No way. keep the Washington side. Hey, you know what, even though we're going to have a two-hour show today, why not talk about the Eagle who scored twice last week? That's from Marcus. And it's a great point. I mean, we've said we like Wicks better.
Starting point is 00:41:46 We said we don't really want to trust any of the Eagles, but we should talk about Darius Cooper. If they get seven targets last week, he's got three touchdowns in his last three games, scored against Titans in week two, scored the two touchdowns last week. He's obviously somebody that Jalen Hertz trusts because he's giving him some 50-50 opportunities,
Starting point is 00:42:02 although you can probably make a case that a lot of Jalen Hertz throws are 50-50 opportunities. I think Cooper is definitely in the number three receiver conversation. Should not be far off from Wix, but it just feels as if like if you're looking at it from a pecking order standpoint, when everybody's healthy, if I shouldn't say, if Goddard plays, it would be Goddard one. I would put Wix to Cooper three.
Starting point is 00:42:22 We're going to take a break. Colts and Steelers when we come back. We've got six games to go. Colts are at the Steelers. Aaron Rogers has not had a 300-yard game since joining the Steelers, but the last two games, 292 and 299 yards. Dare I say he's playing well. The completion percentage is horrible,
Starting point is 00:42:39 but he's throwing the ball downfield. He's averaged 10 or more air yards per pass attempt in three or four games. Aaron Rogers did that one time in the previous two seasons combined. It's a different Aaron Rogers. And I wonder what that's going to mean against this Colts defense, which is giving up the six most points to quarterbacks, which is giving up a lot of big plays, although I went and watched the big plays,
Starting point is 00:43:01 and a lot of them were great throws. But D.K. Metcalf, you know, he had two big catches late in the game last week, week. I obviously see the potential here for the Steelers, Heath, against the Colts in this passing game. What do you think? Rogers is the top 15 quarterback for me this week, and I would obviously start him over Jalen Hertz and Justin Herbert and Bo Nicks and a lot of other guys. I think the hope for the Steelers offense with Mike McCarthy taking over has mostly happened. They are running more plays. They are throwing more. They are throwing downfield more. they aren't throwing 75% of their passes to running backs and tight ends. It's a cautiously optimistic situation. It's a good matchup against the Colts.
Starting point is 00:43:45 If you had to start Aaron Rogers, I wouldn't feel that bad about it. Dare I say, did you write that in there? Me? Yeah. No? Why? Dare I say he's playing well? It felt like it was a...
Starting point is 00:43:57 No, I did not. But, yeah, no, I didn't have. I wish I had like a DARE T-shirt on right now. Sit Daniel Jones. Aaron Rogers or Jalen Hertz? Heath just said it, and I agree. Sorry. Aaron Rogers or...
Starting point is 00:44:19 There I say, he just said that already. Aaron Rogers or Kirk Cousins? I would go Kirk, but I've gone back and forth on it. The matchup definitely favors Rogers, but Cousins is playing so well right. I mean, they're both playing. So it just really like, whoever's available on waivers, I would pick up. All right.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Last one. Rogers or Jaden Daniels. I think there's more, I think there's more long-term appeal for cousins. Rogers or Jaden Daniels. Daniels. Why are you looking at me like that, Heath? Do we have him close in our rankings?
Starting point is 00:44:52 No, but people might be wondering. They may not be ready to trust Jaden Daniels. I think of the Rogers is at a better season, so I can understand that. Yes. Start Jonathan Taylor. Josh Downs is number two-wide receiver. We talked about him in Metcalf. They're pretty similar in the rankings.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Are there any tight ends that you would start over Tyler Warren? Not for Heath. Heath has Warren third. And Jamie has him 12th. No, seven. You got to update your list, dude. Seventh, seventh. There you go.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Yeah. But it's a little bit of a difference. And Jamie has him ninth. I mean, Dave has him ninth. Who are you again? Rogers or it hurts. Would you start, would you start, Joan Johnson? And you'll ask you if you wrote, there I say, in your notes.
Starting point is 00:45:34 throw you off so much. Completely threw me off. Duon Johnson or Tyler Warren? Dare I say, Tyler Warren. Yep. Dalton Kincaid or Tyler Warren? Warren.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Okay. Rogers, we talked about Jalen Warren. If Rico Dowdell plays, Jalen Warren or Josh Downs, D.K. Metcalfe. Still Jailen Warren. Yep. Why is so confident in Jalen Warren with Dowdell on the
Starting point is 00:46:04 way back potentially? I would not expect a typical workload for Dowdell, but he's going to be a nuisance. So, you know, you've gotten the Jalen Warren full workload scenario for the last two games, and it's been absolutely amazing. I just hope that he's shown enough that he's going to be the leadback. I know what Mike McCarthy said, but, you know, production is production, performance is performance. So dare I say that Jalen Warren has earned the right to be the guy there.
Starting point is 00:46:32 But you have him ranked in the top 10. Are you going to drop that? No, we don't jump. Yeah. I mean, he'll fall into the, you know, low teens, right? When you say 13 or 14, is that low teens or high teens? That's the low teens. Low teens, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:47 So he'll still be a must start running back, but he won't be as high as he is right now. Don't tell me you don't have him ranked in the top 10. I just refresh the rankings page and it's top 10. We're not ranking Rico Doudal. He had a limited practice after missing two weeks. Well, all I can do is go by. what the page says. Of course, because we don't, like, you're,
Starting point is 00:47:05 what you're talking as if Rico Doudal has already been announced as the, as the week five starter. That's why I ask. I say, I said, we're not sure he's going to play yet. All right. How about it?
Starting point is 00:47:17 I think it's also worth noting, like, it was 75 yards a game the first two weeks of the season when RICO Douddle was there for Jalen Warren. So it's fine. All right. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Rogers are hurts. Now, listen. What do we think? about Roman Wilson this week. You love him. He picked them up everywhere. I did not pick him up in a league, did I? Yeah. Oh, I didn't check. Unless there are people that have their teams named after you.
Starting point is 00:47:42 I didn't check anything today. Right in the Shakir Coleman range for me. He's a kind of a low-end number three wide receiver, but he's made some big plays. You can make big plays against the Colts defense. I think the nice thing about it is the targets have been consistent, six in every game. The production last two weeks has been fun. he's the type of receiver that if you're stuck this week,
Starting point is 00:48:05 he doesn't, at least in my opinion, present the same upside as Myers if the Bengals guys are out, Coleman or Shakir, if DJ Moore is out, but can easily be somebody that you plug and play for this week and definitely somebody that can be
Starting point is 00:48:18 an end-of-bench type receiver for you. Michael Pittman apparently went through the locker room yesterday in a scooter. Oh, yeah, scooter, yeah, yeah. So his foot is still a problem. And not that he's been, a problem for Roman Wilson. He's been a problem for Aaron Rogers.
Starting point is 00:48:35 I think you're just looking at right now, like he's established himself. Roman Wilson has the number two receiver in his office. And just to be clear, it was one of those scooters where you bend your knee and you rest your knee on it. He wasn't riding a scooter. Yeah. I see I picked up Roman Wilson in one league.
Starting point is 00:48:49 I'm not sure about all the others that you claim. I picked him up in like three. So yeah. Yeah, same. I mean, I think he could be a consistent number three receiver as we're dealing with all these injuries and bye weeks. You starting a Steelers tight end? No.
Starting point is 00:49:04 Are you starting the Steelers' DST? Yes. Yes. Let's go to the next. Oh, wait, questions. Questions from the audience? Here we go. Downs over Waddle and Jamo or Jamo?
Starting point is 00:49:15 No. I would, if Keenan Allen was out, I wouldn't have Keenan Allen is back. Roman Wilson, Chris Godwin, Will Shipley, Keaton Mitchell, Sit One. Godwin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Roman Wilson, Malik Washington, or Jacoby Myers? Washington. Yep. PPR, Josh Downs, Romeo Dobbs, or Matthew Golden? Golden. Yep. Brisket or Bridget or Rogers? Did you cover your set? I'm the only person with Rogers, but I'll stand by it.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Roman Wilson or Keon Coleman? I'd go Coleman if more is up. I have Wilson. Next game, Cincinnati's at Miami. Miami has not scored more than 13 points yet. so that's not great. How do you feel about how do you feel about the Bengals offense
Starting point is 00:50:06 in general Heath like Joe Burrow and I know it's dependent on who plays and whatnot but just the fact that they may not have to do much in this game like what's what's the deal? You don't have to do much to have a good fantasy day against the dolphins like at one point late in the game Brock Purdy was 22
Starting point is 00:50:23 of 23 I think like Patrick Mahomes didn't throw a whole lot of passes still had an okay day from what I remember I'm starting any, was it bad? No, it wasn't bad. He played great. He had 24 pass downs, but he only scored 19.9 points. Only one quarterback has scored more than that. So, and that was per game.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Yeah, to be fair, though, cousins in week one through three touchdowns, he just threw two interceptions against them. Yeah. I will start any of our bingles starters who are active. So Burroughs is a start. Chase Brown's a start. T. Higgins is a start if he plays. Jamar Chase is a start if one of Chase where Higgins misses.
Starting point is 00:50:59 I think the only one that I'm a little bit less certain about is Mike Gisicki, and this is just the type of guy that it is a revenge game, and he has scored a bunch of touchdowns. But the targets have been so low that I have a hard time calling Gassiki a start. But I understand a lot of people are going to stream him. Yeah, I know we're going to get so many Gassiki questions on Sunday. I'm already Gassiki of them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:24 This is kind of what I found. at his production in week four. I mean, actually, it isn't even that concrete. He had a 16.7% target per outrun rate with T. Higgins off the field. So Jemar Chase missed much of the game. But it was really when T. Higgins left that we saw a spike for Gassiki. And even then, it wasn't that great. I was going to say he had three catches for 40 yards.
Starting point is 00:51:51 Yeah, yeah. But he had his touchdown. He had three of his targets. with Higgins off the field. No, sorry. All right, let's just look at target per ron rate because Higgins played a lot. 10.7% target per out run rate
Starting point is 00:52:04 last week with Higgins on the field. That's terrible. 16.7% target per out run rate with Higgins off the field. That's still bad, but it is a big spike. So if Higgins plays, you have to wonder how much you're going to like a sickie,
Starting point is 00:52:15 but I do love the revenge game narrative. And also, the dolphins are terrible against tight ends. I mean... You could have stopped it terrible. Yeah. I think the... The thing to keep an eye on here is if they're both out,
Starting point is 00:52:31 there's reason for confidence in Myers, Gaseki, and to a lesser degree, Mitchell Tensley. If one plays, Myers and Gassiki become extremely risky. If both play, you're not starting anybody else. Yeah. Agreed. But also, you say the dolphins are terrible,
Starting point is 00:52:47 but from a fantasy standpoint, they're bad against receivers. They're bad against, yeah, they're good against receivers. And, yeah, they're good against receivers. They allow the third fewest points to receive. This is what the Bengals used to be as well. Whenever you can run on teams to the level that teams are running on the dolphins,
Starting point is 00:53:02 you just don't throw the ball enough. And when they have been thrown against, it was tight ends. So that's the thing that benefits Gisiki here. And so hopefully, if you did invest a lot of Fab in Gisickey or a lot of Fab and Myers, we would all much rather see T. Higgins and Jamar Chase play because those guys are rostered and starting every league. But for the people that are desperate in chasing these positions and maybe handcuffing them to chase or Higgins.
Starting point is 00:53:26 you're going to get some quality production if both are out. Again, if one plays, it just becomes extremely risky because one of Myers or Gaseki will probably do something. It's just hard to expect both. And this should be an unbelievable game for Chase Brown. Like, this is what the Chase Brown manager has been waiting for. You got really, I don't want to say lucky, but you got the benefit of the PPR boost last week with the 10 catches.
Starting point is 00:53:49 This is a game where he should have a dominant run performance. And if you are completely stuck, look at some Aj-P Ryan, because there may be an opportunity frame as well. I just want to clarify one thing. Just the dolphins have been good. I think people probably, I know you guys know this. The dolphins have been good against wide receivers because of the number of times people have thrown on a per target basis. They've been awful against wide receivers also. Yes. They don't stop wide receivers. Just teams stop throwing. Not totally do teams stop throwing. Teams throw their tight ends against the dolphins too.
Starting point is 00:54:20 It is a lot like previous Bengal seasons. It's also a lot of who they've played. I mean, they played the Raiders who don't have a wide receiver that is going to command a lot of targets. And Jack Bech scored a touchdown against them. They played the Vikings without Justin Jefferson. And who knows if Jordan Addison, you know, popped up an injury port, was dealing with that hamstring injury at some point during the game. You know, so it's like there's been some circumstantial stuff here. Rashi Rice, that was the game that he got going a little bit, you know, after a sluggish start was against the dolphin. So when you throw on them, I think you're going to have success.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Like he said, it's just we just don't see it. All right. Malik Willis is a sit. We'll get to Ali Gordon in a second. Well, how about this, Ali Gordon or Malik Washington? I would probably go Gordon's upside, but Washington safer. I think I'd go Washington and full PPR Gordon and everything else. And in terms of Chris Bell, are you starting like pretty much all the waiver wire wide receivers, the bills guys, Dante.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Yes. Okay. Yes. I know it's tempting to say that, but he did have a 60-ish-yard touchdown callback because he just barely stepped out of bounds. He's one of these players that you'd love to see like a Denzel ball. Austin type performance from him every now and then because he's capable of it. We saw it from Caleb Douglas in week one. I still think that's somebody you want to keep an eye on.
Starting point is 00:55:31 You shouldn't be, you shouldn't need to roster him at this point, but, you know, hopefully he gets healthy. I would love to see what they look like when everybody's there. You know, I mean, Malik Willis, he got a little overshadowed because of who he is by comparison to Jalen Hertz. He had a game under 100 passing yards as well against Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Not surprising because Minnesota is so good and he's not. But there still could be some potential for Malik Willis at some point this season to help fantasy manager. He's still running, you know, so. you're getting that okay so let's do some ollie gordon stuff here we've got some questions from the chat and we'll start with this gisicky or goddert i would go gisicky if uh the receivers are up yeah and just to be clear like we're not expecting goddard to play it this time sure and if one receiver's out or if two receivers are out um if one receiver is out still i would play gisicic
Starting point is 00:56:21 gisicke or joan johnson same thing it'd have to be the receiver is out Glewynne for me, period. Malik Washington or Keenan Allen if he plays? I'd go Keenan Allen. Washington for me. Bengals, DST or Jags? Jacks.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Yeah. Ali Gordon or Dalton Schultz at Flex? Gordon. Similar to what he said about Washington. Ali Gordon or Scadaboo or Tutin, we need two. Ollie Gordon said. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Sit Gordon. Ali Gordon, Quinchon Judkins, Emmanuel Wilson, Buckie Irving, pick two. Wilson and Judkins for me. I think it's Bucky and Wilson for me. Would you start
Starting point is 00:57:06 Ali Gordon or Devon Valé against the Vikings? Bailey. Deli. Denzo, Boston or Austin? Gordon. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Keon Coleman or Gordon? Gordon. If Moore's out. Heath is higher on Gordon. Gordon or Blah, Jeremiah Love. Jeremy Love.
Starting point is 00:57:32 All right. Next game is the Raiders at the Patriots. Okay, this is the one where I've changed my mind on something, I think. At the beginning of the week, and I went on NFL play action and said it, I was saying to sit Drake May. And I said, you know, it's a horrible week for quarterback, so he probably ended up being close to top 12 or something. but I wasn't too optimistic. I think the more I dug into it, I really don't think the Raiders defense is good.
Starting point is 00:58:01 I think they're great. I think they're great at one thing, and it could be a huge problem. They're great at rushing the passer. They barely blitz, and they get home a lot. Well, they get to the quarterback. I don't know if they sack them.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Fourth best pressure rate, something like that, and they barely blitz. But you look at some of the other stuff here. I mean, I think they could easily be beaten. So I've been more optimistic about, Drake May. However, Drake May versus Kirk Cousins is a tough one. Who do you guys like? May for me? Do you like May this week? Yes. Relative to what quarterback is this week, I think Drake May is like he's a top 10 quarterback. You can obviously make a case for Drake May versus
Starting point is 00:58:46 cousins, Drake May versus Rogers, Drake May versus Jacoby Rosset, you know, these guys that weren't expected to be fantasy starters that have played better than him, at least in the case of and cousins and matchup-wise definitely favors per set. Is he completely fixed because of one good game? Still doesn't have AJ Brown. The Raiders, for what it's worth, have been a good team in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. I think part of that is who they played.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Malik Willis, Justin Herbert, being two of those guys. So, you know, I'm hopeful that May runs because I think that's a big part of his fantasy production. It was such a big part of him as a rookie. It was part of enhancing his production last year. And you saw it. He doesn't need to go for 54 yards. I think we all love 30 plus points for our quarterback.
Starting point is 00:59:34 But realistically, can't he live in that 23 to 25 range or 20 to 25 range, you know, where you'll just be happy with him as a starting quarterback and confident and starting him week to week? That's, I think, where he'll be. You know, so I don't know if the ceiling is there. I just think Buffalo's defense is that bad, and they were missing some guys last week. So, look, he struggled against them last year. year when they came to his building and he finished as an MVP candidate by the end of the season.
Starting point is 00:59:58 So I just hope that whatever they did to fix him last week, get him more confident, playing well, hyper-targeting who right now is his best receiver. There's got to be some guys that make place for him. Hopefully that's continued. And the other thing about May is that he's averaged 7.3 yards per attempt are better in three or four games. And 7.3 yards per attempt is what Matthew Stafford is averaging for the year. It's kind of average.
Starting point is 01:00:23 And, you know, it's past volume has been kind of an issue for him. And when you talk about that, there's only been one quarterback who's thrown more than 30 times against the Raiders. It was Tyler Shuck, and he scored 32 fantasy points. So I'm just not really believing that the Raiders are that good of a defense. It's turnovers. How many did my home throw? What's that? How many did my home throw?
Starting point is 01:00:43 I don't know. But not 30. Or not more than 30. And again, that speaks to their defense. Like they got to place the chiefs with Rice. leaving the game very early. You threw 30. In overtime.
Starting point is 01:00:56 No, I can go to overtime. That was an overtime? Oh, the Colts are overtime. Sorry. So, anyway, the New England running backs, I mean, if Ramandre is out, where are you going to rank Trayvon? Top 15. Top 20 for sure. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:11 And if Ramandre's in, then these guys are much less appealing. We talked about Ramandre at the top of the show, the players to avoid, I believe, section. One of he was higher on him, but... Yeah, I'm interested. Dave has Ramonjay as a start for our show at noon. Let Heath and Dave debate that one. Okay. And Romeo Dobbs is a number three receiver.
Starting point is 01:01:36 Check the updated rankings, so I don't get yelled at. He is 29th for Jamie, 33rd for Dave, 35th for Heath. If Stevenson plays, who's the best flex for the Patriots? Stevenson. Probably. Okay. I'm encouraged by Dawes because I think the absence of Mack Hollins, I assume he's not going to play, is kind of a big deal, actually. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:01 Matt Collins, 20% target per route run rate are better in three or four games. He draws targets. Dobbs had nine last week, caught two touchdowns. Hunter Henry, 16th for Jamie, 14th for Heath as of yesterday. Now it is 17th for Jamie, 14th for Heath, 22nd for Dave. You could do worse than Hunter Henry. The Raiders are 24th against tight ends. because they're giving up touchdowns.
Starting point is 01:02:22 They don't give up a lot of yards. Do you know what Romeo Dobbs A dot is this year? No. 16.1. It's not, yeah, it's high. If you're going to have a high A dot, it's Drake May is a pretty good quarterback to have that with, I think.
Starting point is 01:02:38 He was last year. Yeah. All right, on the other side of the ball, Cousins or Stroud. I like Stroud better. same may or stroud may yep may stroud cousins okay cousins is you know he's he's not bad like the chiefs were giving up the fewest fantasy points the quarterbacks last week kirk cousins scored 26.6 points against them he did throw 52 times though um all right patriots ninth best so
Starting point is 01:03:09 his worst game so far was week one 19.8 points yeah and that was with two interceptions on top of three touchdowns he's been better than that in every game since so it's surprising because it's Kirk Cousins at his age. But I think this is a credit to what we talked about this offseason. Their offensive line was definitely improved. And the Kubiak system has been great for him. Yep. Now, start Bowers.
Starting point is 01:03:38 Stop Bowers and Gentie. Michael Mayer or Hunter Henry. Who do you like better? Henry's definitely safer. It wouldn't surprise me. A mayor has another good game, though. Yeah, Henry. And Tucker really hasn't gotten a lot of targets since Bowers.
Starting point is 01:03:50 came back. He had eight last week, but again, more than 50 passes for Cousins. And four of the eight targets for Tucker were in the last minute and a half of the game. So you guys have him outside the top 36. Heath a little higher on Tucker than Jamie and Heath, but still not a guy we're looking to start. He's one of these guys that's dropable if you can pick up Myers or Coleman or Roman Wilson. Mostly the Bengals or Bill's replacements. That's the type of receiver you can drop if you want to pick up somebody that has more upside for at least one week. You like the DSTs in this game? Like, but don't love.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Sure. Okay. Questions from the chat? Pick two, Cousins, Murray, Tyler Shuck. I'm sitting Murray. Yep. If Jefferson plays? Yep.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Yeah. Remandre or Emmanuel Wilson. Wilson. Emmanuel. May or Purdy? Pertie. Yep. Mayor Lawrence.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Lawrence. I've got May. Ramandre or Jeremiah Love? Love. Yep. Say I dare, cousins or hurts? Cousins. Cousins.
Starting point is 01:05:00 Gentier, Emmanuel Wilson. You guys are dressed the same as the avatar. Genty. All right. Clefins at the Jets. I think we have three more games, guys. Let's see if we can do it in 10 minutes. Start or sit to Sean Watson, Heath.
Starting point is 01:05:14 He's a high-end QB2 for me. Actually, my favorite. streamer. I love the fact that he's second amongst QBs in rushing. I don't think this Jets defense is one you have to shy away from. I think the Todd Monkin system is working for him. So top 15 guy. 13th for Heath, 18th for Dave and Jamie. Deshawn Watson or Kirk Cousins. Watson for me.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Watson or Stroud. Watson for me. Watson for me. All right, Quinchan Jodkins. 14th for Jamie. He talked about him earlier. Heath, how come you're not 16th for January, 16th? You're not as high, Heath, you have him 22nd. I mean, I don't know if that's a big difference or not. I mean, it may be a bigger difference this week than it is most.
Starting point is 01:05:58 He's got one game with more than 53 rushing yards. The receptions are awesome when they happen, but it's been every other week. So I guess he's due for two targets this week. No, it just not, that was a joke, but they're not reliable yet. So he's a, he's an RB2. I just think a low end. Okay. You heard Herbstry talk about it on the broadcast
Starting point is 01:06:20 that he felt like Judkins hadn't really looked like himself coming off the injury until last week. We finally started looking better. I watched some of his runs, and man, he missed two plays. He missed like the obvious holes. He could have had much better a game. I don't know if that's a normal thing for him,
Starting point is 01:06:36 but at least he was bouncing around out there and looked a little faster. Jets, by the way, give up the six most points to running backs. So Boston and Concepcion, Jamie, how would you compare them to the streaming receivers this week? So if there are no Bengals, starters, I'd go Myers over Boston. If one of the Bengals guys plays or both, I would start Boston over Myers. And I would start Boston over Coleman, even if Coleman-Agear, even if DJ Moore is out.
Starting point is 01:07:11 You would start Boston over both Bill's guys, even if Moore is out? Yes. Okay. I would, too. the only wide receiver, I think, on the waiver wire that I would start over Boston is Malik Washington. And Concepcion has just got to hope for something here, I guess. But he does have two straight games with eight or nine targets. Yeah, he's just not doing much with them.
Starting point is 01:07:30 There's going to be a game where he has like the Wondell Robinson, you know, six for 90 type game, seven for 90, eight for 90, nine for 90, based on his lack of yards per catch. It's just hard to envision it right now. But he's not a bad stash candidate in PPR. I'd like to, I've had thought about dropping him a couple of times, and I do not want to. Concepcion, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Is Harold Pan & Jr. just a easy start at this point? It's not an easy matchup, but I think just given the fact that he's giving you three straight games of 10 or more PPR points. Last week was a little frustrating how he got it because it was touchdown dependent, but he does have three touchdowns in his last two games. So the way Deshaun Watson's playing right now, I don't think you should have a lot of faith in this Jets defense overall. I think it's a good start. He is the definition of a borderline tied-in one for me. Sid Gino Smith. Who's your favorite running back in this game?
Starting point is 01:08:25 Jack Allen. Heath made the case for Braylon Allen earlier. He had every running back touch since Breeze Hall's injury. And I also said that Browns, they allow 4.8 yards per carry to running back. So I imagine Allen and Judkins are going to be started in a lot of leagues. They should be. What'd you say? They should be.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Yeah. Would you start Allen or RJ Hart. in PPR. Alan. Alan. Alan or Jalen Waddle? Waddle leaving at Donald plays. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:58 Okay. Waddle even if who plays? I think he's... I think he's Dailen Warren. Excuse me. I heard Jalen. I would start Allen over Jalen Waddle. Excuse me.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I'll go Waddle in full PPR, Alan, and the rest. Dare I say. That was a mistake. There you go. Start Garrett Wilson. Although the Brown's logo is bleeding into your shirt. Gee, you think if they're name the team of the Browns,
Starting point is 01:09:21 you'd have more brown and your helmet. But start Garrett Wilson. I know his name after the owner. Very narcissistic thing to do, by the way. Any interest in Isaiah Williams? You would name your team the Azers if you bought a team. I would call them the Red Eyes. The Azer Lasers.
Starting point is 01:09:39 No one's interested in Isaiah. Red eyes would be so good. You get so many airline sponsorships. And yeah, Heath. Kenyon, Sadiq, you're the only one who's got faith. Yeah, it was a bad game last week, but I think that the Jets are probably going to have
Starting point is 01:09:57 a little more success passing this week than Gino Smith did last week. I think so. And he had four first read targets. Thank you, Jacob, for that stat. Cleveland's DST, yesterday they were 44. I don't even know why I bother doing roster percentages on Wednesday, because a lot of leagues now run their waivers Wednesday night.
Starting point is 01:10:14 For example, Will Shipley last, yesterday was rostered in about 41% of leagues. Now he's over 60%. But the Browns, DST, they're out there. Three straight, solid games, they're highly ranked this week. Denver is at the Chargers. Heath, who are the players you want to start in this game? It's tough. The Broncos defense.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Yeah. Even without Pat Cater Chan. other than that, like I am going, I would start in full PBR, R.J. Harvey over O'Marian Hampton. I think Hampton and Mitchell are fine flexes. Waddle's a low-end, wide receiver, too. I don't really, like, I don't love anybody in this game.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Who's the best flex? Probably Waddle. The issue I have with Waddle, and I said it last week, and it continues, is I just don't know why. I don't know what happens when he struggles and what happens when he succeeds and what keys to look for.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Oh, well, and the matchups like this, he does well. I don't know. It just seems completely random. His slot rate and his outside rate are all over the place. Like, they use him differently. I don't know. So it's almost like you have to have blind faith in Jalen Waddle. You know, and he's come through decently since week one.
Starting point is 01:11:42 I caught a touchdown last week Yeah, five for 35 and a touchdown. So it's now, well, he was terrible. I forgot he was terrible against the Rams in week three. Granted, that is the Rams. I don't know. If Bo Nex throws for 200 yards, Waddles come through with a good fantasy game.
Starting point is 01:11:59 That's the, uh, their passing game is struggling. It hasn't, you know, usually you get a player of his pedigree joining a new team and it's, there's the boost, right? The passing game gets better, the quarterback gets better. He's usually pretty good, the receiver.
Starting point is 01:12:12 we just haven't seen that yet. So it's not like Pat Bryant being gone is going to be a huge boost for anybody because he's been getting like three or four targets per game. But maybe it does help a little bit. I think you're just looking at Waddle as a number two receiver that you hope has a strong enough performance, but it just hasn't been consistent. And I should point out, Derwin James is out
Starting point is 01:12:31 and one of their cornerbacks for the Chargers, he's injured as well. So it's a deplete, like obviously their whole team is injured, but their secondary is a little bit depleted too. I should also point out, This is something I was worried about preseason for Waddle. Cortland Sutton, who's having a terrible year, he leads the team in red zone targets, green zone targets, and end zone targets. Jalen Waddle has two red zone targets.
Starting point is 01:12:51 He does not have a single target in the green zone, which is 10-yard lining in, or in the end zone, which is the painted spots behind the goal lines. So that's, I don't know, maybe an issue for Jalen Waddle. Obviously, that could change. What? Defining end zones? It was funny? It was good.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Thank you, thank you. R.J. Harvey, I want to point out, Last two weeks, he has career high target shares. Bo Nix has an unusually high running back target rate over the last two games. Two of his top five in his entire career. So those of you who are, I see some people trading for R.J. Harvey. I don't think you should expect like 17 targets or whatever it is in a two-game stretch. Yeah, 17 targets.
Starting point is 01:13:32 This is like the Broncos offense throwing the running backs on steroids. Probably won't continue at this rate. But it is happening. so he's worth a look. Camara or the Camara or the new Camara, R.J. Harvey. Harvey. Harvey or Metcalf. Why not?
Starting point is 01:13:55 It's a good one. I go Metcalf. I have Harvey. Which quarterback you like better in this game? Nix. Next. He addressed his run. or lack thereof yesterday.
Starting point is 01:14:11 And he said he still feels great. He's just trying to make more plays with his arm. 25 rushing yards on the season is pretty bad. Yeah, that's terrible. Okay, and then Sid Ingram with McCongy plays. Where are you going to rank him? Borderline top 24. So the fact that there is no Cirtan is great.
Starting point is 01:14:36 It's just how healthy is he? And I think that was something that was an issue going into last week. like we kind of got sold a bill of goods that he was healthy and he wasn't. I think you just view him as a boom bust number three wide receiver because he has the potential to be great and he has a potential to play after snaps. And if he's out, do you like Trey Harris or Quentin Johnston? Harris, but not with a lot of confidence. Right. You like Harris.
Starting point is 01:15:01 If McConkey's out, would you start Harris over O'Mary in Hampton or Keaton Mitchell? No. No. Would you start Will Shipley over Omerian Hampton and Keaton, Mitchell? No. Hampton, Shipley, Mitchell. Would you start Amarian, Hampton,
Starting point is 01:15:18 or Keenan Allen, if he plays? Hampton. Probably. All right, we're not interested in Kamani Baidel. Rodney Gasson at eight targets last week. That was cool. Listen, he's also in the streaming conversation if there is no Mokonki because they just need,
Starting point is 01:15:38 you know, healthy bodies to make plays at this point. but it's just the offensive line is such a disaster. Houston's at Denver's DSTs to start. Let me fly through a few questions here. Let's see, we have any for this game. Waddle or Debo? Waddle. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Hampton or Jeremiah Love. Love. Waddle or Christian Watson? Watson. Yep. Trey Harris or Josh Downs? Downs. Yep.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Flex spot, RJ Harvey or George Kittle? Kittle. Houston's at Tennessee. The Texans are getting a new play caller. D'emico Ryan's taken over, calling plays defensively. Hopefully that helps. C.J. Stroud over Bo Nix and over Justin Herbert. C.J. Stroud and Kirk Cousins, I think I asked you guys that earlier.
Starting point is 01:16:30 I think you have Stroud, right? You went May Stroud, Couss. C.J. Stroud over Jacoby Preset. Percet. I think Stroud for, no. set. Now, Tennessee, they're giving up the fifth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, but 26th and yards per attempt.
Starting point is 01:16:46 Lamar Jackson scored 21 points and a half against them. So this is another one. I'm not really buying it. But they did it all last year, too, right? Did they? I'm not sure. Or they were good against wide receivers, one or the other. It was for the same exact reason. It's just like nobody has to throw against them. Yeah, that's true. This team,
Starting point is 01:17:04 though, they cannot run. So hopefully Stroud throws enough. and do you want to start? How would you compare the Chargers running backs to the Texans running backs? I'd rather have the Chargers, guys. Both chargers over both Texans. Okay, so that is not,
Starting point is 01:17:18 we do not want to start David Montgomery and Woody Marks. And this is a good run defense. They give up 3.63 yards per carry to running backs. And three running backs do have 20 or more carries against the Titans, though. So again, teams run a lot,
Starting point is 01:17:31 don't throw a ton on Tennessee. Start Nico Collins. Start or sit Dalton Schultz. I like to get a good Okay Shultz yeah I don't know it's hard This is kind of what tight ends do
Starting point is 01:17:45 And receivers do it too Up and down There's no reason why Shultz can't have a good game Shultz or Gadsden Shultz Shultz Shultz or Gisiki
Starting point is 01:17:57 Gisiki if the receivers are out Gisiki if both receivers are out Sitkamm Ward Tony Pollard or Amarian Hampton? Pollard. Hampton. Oh, this is a big difference here.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Heath, you want to make the case for Pollard? He's just getting a large share of the work. He's running very well. I think he's going to have a couple of catches. And I don't want to start Amarian Hampton. Pollard's 27th for Jamie, 26 for Dave, and 20th for Heath. Would you guys start Kyle Menangai or Tony Pollard? But non-guy if he's healthy.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Pollard for me. Okay. And then start or sit, Wondale Robinson. Sit. Yeah, he's a low upside number three. Any Carnell Tate questions in the chat here? Any Carnell Tate questions? Carnell Tate or Tony Pollard?
Starting point is 01:18:55 Tate. Tate. Carnell Tate or Denzel Boston? Tate. I think they're back to back. I'd go Tate. Carnell Tate or Ali Gordon. Tate.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Tate. I'm excited that we got Carnell Tate, Heath, in our 10-team league. Yeah, yeah. It was, I mean, I had to give up Kleefe Raymond, which is never easy. But we got him. We got them. We got them. Texans DST.
Starting point is 01:19:25 This is your last chance. They are number, they are top two in the rankings. I'm not seeing a lot of questions in the chat about this game.
