This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Sunday night recap of week five.
A lot of scoring.
Game of the week was a hit.
Everyone loves that.
And here we are, breaking down to the game.
What was the game of the week?
Oh, the Seahawks 49ers, of course.
Very good.
Dave sort of ruined taking.
Oh, sure.
Blame me.
No, no, I'm happy.
I was going to do Bills Rams, but it worked out.
All right.
You should have done both.
Top five scores.
Go.
Any position.
Drake May.
Yeah.
Drake May's got to be up there.
Jerk golf's got to be up there.
Christian Watson's got to be up there.
Jalen Warren?
Jimere Gibbs.
Yep.
Those guys should be up there.
You nailed them.
There are two others.
Joe Burrow and Isaiah likely are basically.
tied with one outside.
Oh, yeah, very likely.
I don't know who had it in non-decimal,
but in decimal they're tied at 32 points.
Very good.
James Winston with 31.
Buckie Irving, 31.
Jaden Daniels, 31.
Parker, Washington, 30.
How many?
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 30 points scores this week at all positions
with Sunday night and Monday night still to play.
How does that compare to last week?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
7 last week.
And we had two teams on buy.
This was a much better fantasy week, much more fun.
I hope this whole show is you counting things.
Okay.
Let's count to one winner.
Heath, who's the biggest winner from Fantasy Week 5?
Mike is no longer dismayed.
I would like to officially nominate QB1 Drake May for the LOL.
Remember when we were worried about him award.
Drake May was spectacular.
He's running.
He's throwing.
Doesn't even need Romeo Dobbs.
Awesome.
Awesome.
fantasy day for him and maybe more importantly he's one week closer to getting a j brownback
second career 300 yard game for him he's been qb one and this is obviously pending monday night
and sunday night but really monday night qb one back to back weeks yeah he looks great it is
helped that he just isn't really facing a lot of pass rush pressure that was the one thing that i was
a little bit worried about from him against the raiders but he crushed
them. He crushed them. And when you look at his schedule, I don't know how many defenses are in front of
them now that are going to put a lot of pressure on him. He's playing great. It's buyback all the
way in time. Okay. Well, Dave, if that was the biggest winner, who is the biggest loser?
We got to talk about Chase Brown. Yeah. He has 12 plus PPR points in one of the
his last four games. Does that sound right? It sounds right to me. No touchdowns in those games.
His unofficial snap rate today was 60%. That's low. His schedule coming up isn't so great.
I am hoping, but this is just strictly hope that the Bengals go into their buy and say, we need to get him going. We need to get our run game going.
But those might be two separate conversations. They might say that they want to get their run game going and not necessarily put it all on Chase Brown.
We got away with one last week because of all the targets and the catches,
and he still had a few targets and catches today against Miami.
But this is Miami.
This was supposed to be the game that he would go off and have huge numbers in.
And we would say, all right, all is well in the world.
Chase Brown's a man.
13 carries, 39 yards.
His longest run with seven yards.
He really just did not have a ton of room.
And he didn't even have the most carries on his team.
So Majapiroon had one more.
I think you have to lower expectations now for Chase Brown.
Jamie, how do you feel about that?
Chase Brown also had a fumble.
At the time of the fumble, he had six carries.
P. Ryan had four.
I didn't even mention that.
Yeah.
And after that, P. Ryan got some work.
But I don't know.
This is a terrible day for a guy who was 100% started, Chase Brown.
Should have been a layup.
Should have been a layup.
I mean, Dolphins' run defense has been absolutely atrocious for the majority of the season so far.
So, you know, I mean, look, you don't have to worry about starting him next week.
So you had to reprieve if he's been, you know,
killing your fantasy team.
I still think there's a bylaw opportunity here because he's so talented and plays in this
offense and when they're healthy, they're going to score points.
And so this is just one of those games where Joe Burrow, you know,
it was some, you know, stupid touchdowns in terms of Mike Keseki, Simage AP Ryan,
and Tanner Hudson with the first three scores for them.
So there's reason to be concerned.
There's also a reason to, you know, want to still have this guy on your team.
What are the reasons to still have this guy on your team?
Again, very talented offense, very talented player.
You saw the catch potential last week,
and I know it was because of the injuries of the wide receiver,
but there's always going to be those type of games
and they're chasing points,
and they're throwing the ball a lot
that he's going to be involved catching the ball more so than he was today.
I don't know.
I mean, if somebody's selling Chase Brown, I'm still buying.
Now, listen, Joe Burrow wasn't playing for much of the beginning of last year,
but he didn't score more than 13.1 fantasy points
in any of his first seven games last season.
And then it took off.
Chase Brown, in case anyone missed that, I know we had a weird audio thing.
Didn't score more than 13.1 PPR fantasy points in any of his first seven games.
And then he just went berserk.
So hopefully he could pick it up.
Now, you say the Dolphins defense is really bad.
They give up a lot of fantasy points.
But coming into the game, they were only allowing 4.1 yards per carry to running backs.
And so far, he has faced teams that are allowing 3.4, 3.5, 4.1, 2.5, and 4.0 yards per carry to running backs.
So the schedule hasn't been as good as it might look on paper,
but still he should have been able to do more against the dolphins.
Would you like to know who he's playing after the buy?
I see, yes.
He has Baltimore, Tennessee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Washington.
There's some good matchups, some bad matchups.
He should be basically matchup proof if they throw to him enough,
but they're not.
I mean, three or fewer catches in three or five games,
and then the one game with 11.
You said something this morning in regards to Sequin Berkeley,
if we were redrafting when we draft Berkeley at this point,
knowing what we know.
it's the same thing with Chase Brown.
He would be more of a third round pick at this point than anything else.
And I think the three guys that are in that range that, you know, if you're looking at it with Amarion Hampton, like you're not drafting any of those three guys.
Chase Brown, Sequin Barclay or Hampton in the first two rounds.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, that was the biggest winner from Heath, the biggest loser from Dave.
Jamie, who is the biggest tie today?
I mean, if you want me to tell you the player that has a winner from a fantasy perspective,
it's the guy who tied with the stupidest play at the end of the game.
And that's Jay and Daniels.
Look, we were worried what he was going to do physically and not having Stefan Diggs
and not having 100% of Terry McClorin.
The rushing was there, which is what we're hoping to see from him.
The majority of the time when he's on the field that we know he's capable of that.
He's not going to do that on a weekly basis, but that's the reason why we love him as a fantasy quarterback.
So stupid decision at the end of the game from a reality perspective.
But great to see Jaden Daniels not afraid to use his legs and run and be a dominant rusher at that position.
OK, NFL memes with the tweet of the year.
Jaden Daniels thought the clock would stop at five seconds out of respect for him.
That is so funny.
I was just a wild sequence.
And then the Eagles Jaguars game was insane.
How did they win that game?
How did they lose that game?
Because Sireani is a moron.
Yeah, he took responsibility.
He said he should have the ball out of bat.
Did the Jaguars have any time?
No time left.
Did they have any time?
No time left.
None.
None.
Yeah, so you kick the ball out of bounds.
It goes to the 40.
It's not that unrealistic for them to get into Cam Little's field goal range.
They're 10 yards away from being able to.
I don't know that it was the wrong decision.
No, you're kicking the end zone.
You don't let him get a chance to return.
He said he should have kicked it out of bounds.
I don't know if they could have kicked it in the end zone.
I don't know if they often kick it in the end zone or like through the end zone.
But he said he should have kicked it out of bounds.
But that I don't think would have been a great solution either.
Unbelievable.
All right.
News and notes.
Caleb Williams could be back next week.
Will Shipley left in the second quarter with an injury.
They got Carolina next week.
We don't know if it'll be Sequin Barkley back.
If Shipley will be back, if it'll be Damien Pierce.
Quin Sean Judkins was apparently in a walking boot.
And Raheem Sanders left with a hip injury as well.
They get Baltimore next week.
David Montgomery left with a groin injury.
Woody Marks had a lot of work today.
They get the Jaguars next week, the toughest run defense in football.
Aaron Jones left, but then he.
return. Travion Henderson left, and Dave is going to talk about Ramandre Stevenson as a winner a little bit later.
I think you can make the case even if Henderson hadn't left Stevenson a winner. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, uh, the Texans acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. Heath, what do we think about this? Or they are going to acquire him.
Um, you know, I think if you have him on your dynasty roster, it gives you some reason for hope.
Perhaps this coaching staff will unlock something in him, use him in some way that it wasn't going to get any better in Arizona.
So hopefully it does here.
He's reunited with C.J. Stroud.
That's about the most positive thing that we could say right now.
And he's on a team that's, like normally you would think he's going to the Texans.
Well, they just play defense and run.
They can't run at all.
So you're going to get 35 passing and play defense.
Yeah.
Do you think it'll have any effect on Nico Collins?
No.
I hope not.
It would be weird if it did.
There's just so many guys in that two through six spot that they have on the roster.
It's just frustrating.
Yeah.
All right.
I think it's a little weird that they did it.
We'll talk about it later.
It's not applicable to fantasy.
Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud, three games with Nico Collins, more than 20 fantasy points in all three.
So don't overlook him.
And Debo Samuel left with a hamstring injury in the third quarter.
He was immediately he ruled out, as was Casey Concepcion, who took a big hit to the head in the first quarter.
T.J. Hawkinson, unfortunately, he left in the first quarter.
And they get a buy this week.
So hopefully he can come back.
I think it's a concussion for Hawkinson.
It is, yes.
So he should be back.
Well, you never say that, but hopefully back in two weeks against the Colts.
The Dalton Schultz come back?
Or did he just get hurt?
He got hurt.
All right, we'll try to look at that.
I'm looking at it right now.
He played 32 snaps, so about half the snaps.
So I would imagine that something happened.
He played into the, no, he was a,
on the field for the last play of the game.
It was a kneel down. He was there.
Okay. Isaiah likely left in the fourth quarter in overtime.
Overtime. He trimmed off.
So that he had a huge game.
Hopefully back next week for the Saints and against the Saints.
And Kenyon Sadiq left with a head injury.
They're at New England next week.
There are a lot of offensive line things to know about left tackle Anton
Harrison for the Jaguars. Left tackle Will Campbell for the Patriots.
Right tackle Titus Howard for the Browns.
Right tackle Jermain or Luminor for the Giants.
they all left with injuries.
On defense, the Chicago Bears had a lot of injuries.
We don't know if it was maybe because they left because of the score,
but four defensive players for the Bears got hurt,
and they get the Falcons on the road next week.
They lost the Packers.
They're at the Falcons next week.
The Bengals got a little banged up.
They're going in their by.
The Eagles got a little banged up.
They get the Panthers.
And there was one other team that got seriously,
the Patriots maybe.
I don't know.
But the Bears are the big one.
Yeah, they,
they lost some players.
Early look at the waiver wire, Jamie.
The Bourne identity waiver wire.
Who are we looking at on the waiver wire?
Yeah, Kendrick Bourne is probably going to be the lead receiver to go get.
Kamani Vidal at running back was one that stood out.
Obviously, Damien Pierce, if there is no Barclay or Shipley.
Three quarterbacks, I think, made the list so far.
Aaron Rogers has just been great.
Jacobi, not Jacobi, excuse me, James Winston,
coming off another strong game as well.
And I would still look at Kirk Cousins,
easier matchup next week at home against Buffalo
by comparison to going on the road to play New England.
So there'll be some injury guys that we look at,
you know, again, from the Eagles backfield,
and then I'm trying to think any tight ends that stood out
that you should go get.
Hunter Henry had a nice game.
Henry was won.
Every week is going to be like, oh, Hunter Henry.
Oh, Hunter Henry.
Yeah, that same group of guys like Dalton Schultz
and Hunter Henry and this week was
Hawkinson, you know, Gaseki, you want to go back
to him just because of touchdown. Oh, Brent Strange, he's been playing well.
Yeah. And Pat Frymuth.
Oh, uh, Jeremy Bernard was another receiver
with Roman Wilson getting hurt.
Oh, right. I didn't mention that.
Nine targets.
Yep. Go ahead.
The current tied in four in fantasy points per game
is available in 100% of leagues.
Ooh.
Who? I don't think I can, I know how to pronounce his name.
Oh, the card.
Tegan, kitty, Oro.
No, Oro.
Quirirano.
Quiterano. Quint Tarantino of the Cardinals.
Teton.
If C.D. Lamb is banged up.
Jake Ferguson and Ryan Flannoy, we'll see what his injury is, but obviously those two guys will benefit as well.
You're joking about Quittoriano, right?
Of course.
Yeah.
But Roman Wilson did leave, and I forgot to mention that.
All right, we're going to get into some winners.
Let's do one right now.
Let's get into the pulse pounding performances brought to you by Whoop, the wearable device that gives you personalized insights into your sleep.
recovery, your strain, and how daily choices may be influencing your overall well-being.
I think I just saw Heath's whoop at just a moment ago.
And if you want to learn more, head to join.wop.com slash fFT.
And it's spelled W-H-O-O-P.
Heath, give me your two winners.
I already gave you one of them.
So I'm just going to give you one more.
And that's Oli Gordon.
Another fantastic performance, apparently, he's just going to be better for fantasy than Devon
H-N.
which makes perfect sense.
Didn't do anything in the passing game.
This was a terrible performance from the Dolphins offense for most of the game.
But I think if nothing else, if you spent all that fab on Olly Gordon,
you got two great weeks,
and now you have a legitimate sell candidate if you don't believe in it.
Like people might actually give you something for O'A. Gordon.
And you might just want to keep starting them.
Would you take Chase Brown for O'I.
Gordon. Oh, I 100% take Chase Brown.
Would you have, and Ashton Genti, then I assume as well.
Yes.
Yeah.
Dolphins have had eight snaps inside the five in their last two games.
Big turnaround from the first three weeks of the season.
Adam thought you were making fun of them.
This is a positive trend.
No, no, no.
For them, it's huge.
It's wild.
It's amazing.
Good for them.
Yeah.
And he's, he isn't catching passes, but he's getting so much work.
So that's good.
You can hold them or like he said, you can try to sell high.
By the way, your other sell, your other,
Your other winner was Drake May.
So we got an email from Mike who...
Oh, good.
Yeah.
And he said we owe...
So he is still dismayed?
He is still dismayed.
Now, Mike is a guy who had a bet with Heath last year, a Drake May bet.
He was offended at Drake May's preseason ranking from Heath.
So they made a bed.
They donated money to St. Jude.
Nobody had to grow a beard.
And he emailed us again.
He gave us something really cool that I'm going to show you after the break.
We'll be right back to see what we have to do for Drake May and some more winners and
losers from week five.
Drake May scores 47.5 fantasy points.
And we get an email
that says, oh, where'd I go?
Got me? Did you lose me?
We hear you. Okay. Sorry.
Drake May has this amazing performance,
and we get an email from Mike that says,
The Patriots started one and two last year,
you guys put Drake May on the Worryometer two weeks ago.
You had the audacity to rank him ninth this week.
Please have the crew fill out the attached form
and send it to you.
to me by Tuesday.
So here is the Drake May apology form.
And, oh, God, I'm having so many internet issues here.
Reason for behavior.
Why were you mean to Drake May?
The media convinced me he was a bust.
I didn't watch the actual games.
I don't know ball.
I thought he wouldn't bounce back from the Super Bowl.
I was jealous of Drake May, or I thought Drake May lover, which is Mike, was delusional.
And I hereby respect Drake May going forward.
So you have to fill this out, guys.
That's great.
It's really good.
The reason that we ranked him so low is not on there.
It was because he kept giving the bowl of the other team and looked completely lost.
But I'm glad he's figured out he was awesome today, and it's good to have him back.
It is.
It is, absolutely.
Okay.
Dave's winners are Ramandre Stevenson and Woody Marks, two guys who had their backfield teammate get hurt.
Yeah, kind of easy to put them together and call them winners because of that,
and we don't know what the long-term prognosis is for their backfield mates.
But even if their backfield mates were back, I would still say that they're winners.
Let's start with Remandre.
Started in 48% of leagues, that number's going up.
4.9 yards per carry.
Three catches, had a touchdown.
His schedule, moving forward, next seven games, there's a buy in there.
But it's jets, bears, dolphins, packers, lions, chargers, bills.
I love this schedule.
And we know he's going to be the passing downs back.
We know he's going to be the goal line back.
As long as he holds on to the football,
he should be good to go as a regular starter
as a number two fantasy running back moving forward.
He could even be a top 12 running back
if there is no Travion Anderson,
maybe even top 10.
Let's get crazy.
Woody and Marks has only started in 14% of leagues.
He finally had some efficiency.
Finally, a Texans running back with efficiency,
4.1 yards per carry.
He had four catches.
We know that he can play in passing downs,
and we're going to see him continue to get those checkdown throws,
held up decently as the lead running back with Montgomery sidelined.
His schedule is tougher.
He's got Jacksonville next week.
But even if Monty's out, or especially if Monti's out, you're still going to go with Marks because
he's going to get a lot of work.
They've got the Giants after that, then a buy, then the charges after.
It's not really that great of his schedule.
The scheduling is much better for a remandre than Woody.
But at least Woody Marks, if you've got them on your team, the floor is a biweek running
back and the ceiling is a low end number two fantasy running back and half and full PPR.
and maybe something gets going here with him
because he's had a little bit more juice than Montgomery
really all season long.
What's your favorite juice?
Apple, orange, prune.
Pick a juice.
Prone?
Hell do you think I am, man.
Put me down for orange.
Jamie Heath, happy to.
Very juice?
Yeah.
A lemonade count?
No.
Why not?
It's not a juice.
It's not a juice.
between lemon juice and lemonade.
Does fruit punch out?
Yeah, it's multiple fruits.
Fine.
Fine. Okay. Heath, your answer?
I like a nice cherry juice.
What? It's not a thing.
Yeah, 100% of the thing. We always have multiple containers of cherry juice in our refrigerator.
Oh, okay. I thought Heath was going to name his favorite beer.
I thought he's going to say like, oh, burnt ends. Would you rather have remodry,
Ramadre Stevenson or Ali Gordon rest of the season.
Ramandre.
I agree.
We're just going to continue to take a beating at the hands of Ollie Gordon,
but Ramadre is who I'll take.
Jamie Braylon Allen and Jaden Daniels were your winners.
Braylin Allen was awesome today.
He did fumble.
He had a drop as well.
The conditions were not great,
but 24 carries,
160 yards and a touchdown,
and Jaden Daniels scored 32.3 fantasy points against the Giants.
Yeah, just to recap,
The fact that he was running in this weather was great to see with the first game back from his elbow injury.
So aside from the brain fart at the end of the game,
I think there's still plenty of reasons to want to start Jaden Daniels' rest of season as long as he's healthy.
You should still continue to carry a backup quarterback because of the risk of injury for him.
And again, did this without Stefan Diggs and less than 100% of Terry McCorn.
For Braylon Allen, I think as long as there is no Briece Hall,
you're going to start Braylin Allen as worst-case Naira number two running,
and maybe a borderline number one guy
if he continues to get this amount of work.
So you'd like to see a little bit more involvement
in the passing game.
I just don't know if there's going to be in his profile.
But to me, this is just a better version
of what you're getting from Molly Gordon,
just based on how he's going to run
and the offense is going to play.
So are you at all concerned about Brees Hall
when he comes back with how well Braylon Allen has played?
He's not bad last week either.
Slightly.
I think, you know, just going back to the offseason
and Dave did a good job illustrating this a lot about Frank Wreck's history
and what Aaron Glenn wants to do is to use multiple running backs.
I'm going to guess short term, it will be more Braille and Allen than we want to see.
Long term, hopefully Brise Hall is the featured guy to the level that we need him to be.
But I think that Braylin Allen and Brise Hall can both coexist
as long as Brise Hall is getting the work in the passing game.
That seems to be something that he had before the injury and should have once again.
Jets schedule is really nice moving forward to.
I don't think you can really buy low on Breece Hall,
but maybe someone's got Breece on their bench
and they're desperate for guys who they can win with now.
And if Breece is out next week,
I would try and make the move for him.
Well, thank you to Whoop for sponsoring this week's pulse pounding performances.

And we're on to the losers.
Can you just as Giants fan take us
through the end of that game?
It's not going to be that exciting
from my perspective because I was doing my notes.
Like once the 1 o'clock games end,
I start doing the notes.
So I had the game on my laptop
and I'm doing my notes on my other laptop.
when scat-obo fumbled and I was just like,
this is what a ridiculous game. Remember, they were down 14 in the fourth quarter,
so, you know, a tie, I would have settled for a tie then.
And then they could drive down the field and I'm resigned to my fate.
But I wasn't really paying attention, just like Jaden Daniels.
At the end there, I didn't realize what was going on.
And nobody did until like three seconds left.
They were like, I don't every time else.
So, I mean, I got my Dan Schneier.
and one other guy, group text,
and it just didn't seem like it was a Giants Day.
They are so lucky to get that tie.
So lucky.
And, yeah, I don't really have much to say.
It was just,
I mean, it's just everything keeps working out for you.
Like the Cowboys lost Thursday,
the way that the Eagles lost today.
But the last three Giants games,
two interceptions in the end zone
on like the final play of the game.
And that, I mean, it's just,
they've had such bad luck for so many years
that it's like finally coming around, I guess.
But they stink.
of those four teams could win the division, you know, like I've been saying. But the Giants
stink. They have to beat the Saints next week or it's over. They're not going to beat any good
teams. And Tyler Shuck couldn't beat a good team today. The Vikings are 5 and 0. Anytime you have
a player going up against the Vikings, the possibility for them to just kill your lineup is there, Jamie.
And he had negative point two fantasy points today. So Tyler Shuck is one of your losers.
And Jalen Waddle. You know, Davis Webb is a winner today, by the way, just to say that.
I think Bo Nix is just a big loser across the board.
Yeah, go ahead.
Tyler Shuck, you got to keep an eye on this left-hand injury that he's dealing with
that might contribute to some uncomfortable performances for him.
But yes, this was Minnesota.
We were concerned going into this game that he would struggle,
and it was worse than we ever imagined.
So hopefully he bounces back next week's a much better matchup,
much easier opponent.
We've seen what the Giants defense is allowed to a lot of quarterbacks already this season.
And so hopefully there's an opportunity here for Shuck to look like the quarterback that we know he's capable of being.
And you should go right back to him as a starting option for Jalen Waddle.
I think it's just we have to consider him as a number three fantasy receiver at best until he starts to show some more consistent performances.
This was just awful.
You know, the fact that he just couldn't get opportunities.
And, you know, forget about Pat Bryant.
I don't think that was ever going to be like, oh, Pat Bryant's out.
Now this is going to be what saves Jail and Watt.
I was under the hope that Sean Pryan.
Payton taking over, you made the big aggressive move to go get this guy, feature him.
And I just don't think Bonex is capable of making anybody look that great.
You know, so at this point, I'm hoping he could just be what Corlin Sutton has been the last two years,
which has been a borderline number two, number three receiver.
I think Jaylon Waddle having a breakout season, still within their own possibility, but it's just hard to count on.
Who would you rather have rest of the season?
Michael Wilson.
Michael Wilson.
His schedule gets really hard.
Don't care.
He didn't even do that well today against the lines.
Don't care.
I care.
He's on the right team.
I'd rather have Michael Wilson and Jaylamo.
And you'd feel that way
if Carson Beck were the quarterback
for Arizona too, right?
Probably.
No.
I don't know if Carson Beck
could be worse than Bo Nex.
We know.
So, like, the way Bo Nex is playing now, maybe,
but we've seen two years of Bo Nex being fine.
You know, he's fine.
I'm saying he's good, but...
He's had a half this year
where he's looked good.
He's struggling.
He's struggling.
Yeah.
And I thought maybe being down seven points
in the second half to the,
Chargers in week five could get him fired up.
Nope.
They still found a way to win it.
It was a touchdown.
It was a good touchdown throwed.
Nice post route there.
I think it was a post route to Coral and Sutton.
It was a bullet, that's for sure.
And then two field goals.
Dave, do you agree, Michael Wilson over Jalen Waddle, rest of the season?
Yeah, I mean, I'm taking the L for Waddle for sure.
You know how excited I was about him this year.
But part of it was predicated on Bo Nix, taking a step forward.
And he's taking two steps back.
because opposites attract.
And wear your hands like a maniac.
Whenever I hear two steps back,
I think of the Transylvania Two Step.
Plus, it's October, you know.
But who was Dave floating?
I don't know.
What?
Yeah, I don't know.
Chad will let you know.
Chattell will let you know.
Willie Nelson?
That's one of the one of the really,
really memorable music videos.
Yes.
Of our, I guess, childhood.
but Adam was like a super child back then.
You know,
the Ophair may have never put MTV on.
I like being the one who gives the references.
Dave's losers are Chase Brown and the Chicago Bears who scored seven points,
but Paula Abdul.
Oh, opposites attract.
So can we just throw this out the window for the bears since they're probably getting Caleb next week?
Oh, great.
You remember what it was like when Caleb was the quarterback in the first two weeks of the season?
Week one, they put up a ton of points.
How did O'Donzee do?
How did Burden do?
How did Loveland do?
I'm going to be sick, man.
A Loveland was another guy.
Everybody was excited about him.
And last week, double-digit PPR points were thinking, okay, he's turning the corner.
This bears' offense is playing on time.
And then they run into the machine that is the Green Bay Packers defense.
And just a total mess.
Bejan got benched.
Case Keenham wasn't particularly good either.
And Romo Dunzee had nine targets, three catches, a fumble.
Burden was getting just a bunch of short throws.
He had one nice play, a 23-yard catch.
But just it's ugly.
And now you're going to ask Caleb Williams to come in.
And yeah, I think Caleb is still great as a fantasy quarterback.
But you know what he's going to do, Adam.
He's going to hold the ball and move all over the place.
And I don't know if there's anything that you can really set your watch to with this bear's offense.
They've got so many guys that can contribute.
And when things are going right, maybe two of them do.
Maybe.
And I'm talking about the passing game.
The run game, I think, is a lot easier to kind of predict what's going to happen.
Aren't they central time, Dave?
Yes.
Thank you.
Well, when they're at home, by the way.
Anyway, 246 total net yards.
They allowed four sacks.
Just 10 of 40 throws were quick throws.
That tells me that things were going on that weren't jibing with what they were doing last week.
You've got to give credit to the Packers' defense for stepping up this week.
It's now time for Heath's losers.
Dave's were the Bears and Chase Brown.
Heath's losers or Josh Downs, 51% started out targeted by Keenan Allen.
And RJ Harvey, one target, no catches.
Thanks, John.
Sent that in before the half was over.
So you were like just, Harvey's done.
Because early in that game, it was Tyler Biday playing on passing downs.
And it was RJ Harvey.
I think he had in the third quarter two carries for six yards.
Just a complete lack of involvement, played 35% of the snaps,
had a season low, 4% target share, only a 7% target per route run when he was at like 40% for the season.
Just an absolute Sean Payton middle finger to the RJ Harvey Fantasy Managers and RJ himself, apparently.
And disaster on that front.
it's so discouraging for Josh Downs because I think everybody that I know that evaluates talent at
wide receiver thinks Josh Downs is so much better than he ever produces.
And Keenan Freakin'allin comes back and out targets him.
And this is what Keenan Allen's been doing.
The last two years of his career is not being good at producing yards or fantasy points
but still getting bunch of targets
and ruining young wide receivers that we like.
And he did it again.
And even when he wasn't there,
like it was kind of spotty from Josh Downs
and Daniel Jones looks awful.
And so, yeah, I guess he's a number three wide receiver
who could have a 15-point spike week.
Yeah.
And I think what's so discouraging is that you actually got 267 passing yards
and 44 attempts from Daniel Jones.
And after two straight weeks with a 30% target share or better,
You got 14% target share two straight weeks now for Josh Downs.
And I think like he's fun because he gets open.
He kills defenders and stuff like that.
But he's still really small.
He doesn't do much on the outside.
I don't think he's making a bunch of contested catches.
So from the town.
They just have three guys that do the same thing.
Well, yeah.
I mean, he does it better than Keenan Allen.
But yeah, I don't know.
I don't think he was ever going to become like a star.
I don't know.
That's just me, but...
Well, no, but we thought he was going to be a number two wide receiver.
And if he was going to become a star, it would be because they traded away the one wide receiver in front of him.
The other one had a chronic injury that kept him out.
Like, everything was there.
You're going to still hold him, though, right?
Don't drop Josh Towns?
No, not in a 12-team league.
In a 10-team league, I probably would.
You could talk me into dropping him in a half-PPR or a non-PPR.
He's definitely drovable non-PPR.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, some goal line stuff.
Before he got hurt, Will Shipley got a goal line touchdown.
If you were paying attention this morning on the noon show.
No, on the 830 to 930 show.
I definitely had a hissy fit when that happened.
I thought of you when it happened and kind of giggled a little.
It was not good.
It was embarrassing.
You had a hissy fit?
Why?
I was so certain that Will Shippley was not going to have a good game.
And then there was a stupid pass interference penalty.
that set them up.
Right?
And as...
Well, and we had like an entire segment on the 830 show, Jamie,
where Adam talked about how he didn't want to start Will Shipley,
so he was going to pick up Kendrick Bourne to start over him.
Yeah. And so like he really, he'd put himself out there.
And it ended up.
Will Shipley got hurt and it worked.
I know.
I didn't want Will Shipley to get hurt.
But I just, you know, it's just so frustrating.
Anyway, Ramandre Stevenson, goal line.
Chris Rodriguez was in at the goal line a lot.
Bejel Tootin got a jet sweep at the goal line
a play where Chris Rodriguez was also in.
But I think it's pretty clear they're both going to be used.
But Rodriguez might be preferred.
Kendry Miller had a goal line touch.
That was weird.
Alvin Camara got like no work in this game.
Kendry Miller was their guy and he scored at the goal line.
He was hurt though.
Yeah, there was some speculation that he wasn't at 100%
that something happened in the game.
He stayed on the sideline.
He played into the fourth quarter, but something might have happened there.
For Camerra.
And this is a bad day for Camp Scadaboo.
Even before the fumble, he ended up with a decent.
since that line, thanks to overtime.
But Naji Harris was in at the goal line,
and Scataboo just couldn't get anything going.
And that run game is struggling.
A lot of almost touchdowns, but I think you'd rather hear us
recap the game.
But for those of you
frustrated with Alman Ross St. Brown, he almost had
a touchdown.
Ali Gordon actually...
He was at like four.
He had a second... Who, St. Brown?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Ollie Gordon had a second touchdown overturned.
The league neighbors had like three
almost touchdowns, and one real one.
D.K. Metcalf drew a defensive pass interference in the end zone on the next play.
Pat Friarmouth scored.
And we're going to come back and talk about Jacksonville and Philadelphia.
That's our first game.
We'll look at all the Sunday action when we come back on fantasy football today.
So the Eagles lose a heartbreaker.
Jacksonville 19, Philadelphia, 17.
But the Eagles only had the ball for 25 minutes and they threw 40 passes.
Jamie, do you think this might be closer to the new normal or a,
Do you, at least we'll see a more pass-heavy team, even when Barclay comes back, because this team, well, I guess they ran it decently with Barclay.
But do you think we'll see more passes than usual from Jalen Hertz, or you think that's just kind of a one-off?
I think it's kind of a one-off.
No Barclay, no Bigsby.
Shipley gets hurt.
You're playing against Jaguars.
It's just, you know, why would you try to run into the strength of that defense as opposed to at least maybe trying to have some plays in the passing game where teams have had more success doing that?
Now, granted, they're doing that also without Devante Smith on the field.
So it was just kind of, I think, see what works and maybe they felt comfortable enough with putting the ball more so in Jalen Hertz's hand than in Damien Pierce's hands, which would make sense.
So I would not be expecting it to continue like that when Barclay's there because when Barclay's there, he will be their best player, at least if he's 100%.
So hopefully we get a healthy Saquoan Barclay next week.
We don't have to deal with Damien Pierce.
Adam, we talked about it this morning.
the Eagles.
Right now.
Well, I don't think we had a consensus on that.
We have a comment up here about the upcoming schedule,
and I think that's what you want to highlight.
Carolina, Dallas, Washington, New York Giants over the next month.
Yeah, but I've already made the point that they have struggled against Tennessee,
Chicago, and the Giants.
That's true, but they're also, I think, going to get healthy the next month.
I hope so.
Well, they're healthy is a different healthy now because,
of the offensive line changes.
So I thought they held up much better than I expected in this game, given Jacksonville
defense.
But what will they look like when they're healthy?
And what will their situation be, meaning like, where are they at as a team at that point?
Because it's going to get ugly moving forward with what Siriani did today and the pressure
that usually comes from that city on that team.
And so how will they respond?
They've weathered a bunch of storms the last couple of years when things have gone
through, you know, gone the negative route.
So hopefully they continue to do that.
And Hertz can get right.
And Smith gets healthy.
And it's good to see Goddard back out there.
They didn't have a great day today.
But, you know, did they find something in Darius Cooper?
You know, that this kid could be a threat for them to at least give them something consistent
on the other side from at least maybe a touchdown perspective because Don Tavian
Wix has disappeared the last two games.
He could have had a huge game today.
He missed a – Jaylon Hertz missed him on a big throw.
So it's going to be, I think, just a work in progress.
But really the thing I would like to see is Barclay and Smith on the field.
Because you're right, Heath.
The schedule is going to be very favorable for them.
Dave, what are your thoughts on the Jaguars coming out of this game?
Anything earth-shattering?
No, Parker Washington's a stud.
We were worried about him for the last couple of weeks, really after last week.
And it came out right away first quarter, 51-yard touchdown,
and then really got Jacksonville back into this game with a 27-yard touchdown.
That was just an awesome throw, awesome catch by him.
Brent and Strange, Jamie talked about it, that's somebody to consider off the waiver wire.
And Tutin got a ton of work.
He just wasn't efficient with it.
I wrote in my notes so many times burst with Tutin.
And when you watch him, you see it.
But it's not, he just hasn't been able to live up to maybe the ceiling expectation of what we had for him.
I still think he's going to be a number two fantasy running back.
And I wish he had more targets, three targets in this game, two catches.
that actually helped you out a little bit.
It got into double-digit PPR points anyway.
I like Tudin.
And I wonder if he's going to, he's already got a grip on the running back workload.
I just wonder how much more he needs to do to kind of push Chris Rodriguez off to the side.
Who has more PPR fantasy points per game, Bachel Tudin or Chase Brown?
Tudin.
Chase Brown.
I feel like Chase Brown had that point.
out.
Chase Brown is at 13.
Basial Tutin's at 12.7.
Yeah.
The two touchdowns called back last week.
Don't count for Bachel Tutton.
So Tuton, look, he has Houston this upcoming week.
That could be tough.
They have a great run defense.
Then he has a buy.
If he struggles after the Houston game going into his buy and you believe in
Bejal Tuton, he's got Dallas and Washington in week 16 and 17.
I mean, you don't have to look at the schedule.
If you believe in him, that might be a time.
We'll revisit it, but that might be a good time to go get him.
All right.
Let's go to our next game here.
it is Green Bay 31 Chicago 7
Dave already talked about Green Bay
Heath I'm sorry David
I talked about Chicago
Keith what do you think about Marshawn Lloyd
who had two touchdowns today
and you can see Caleb Johnson had seven carries
but all of them were in garbage time
is Marshaun Lloyd a he's only 58% roster
is he a thing until Jacobs comes back
well he certainly is going to have to be in the waiver wire
yeah it's somebody that we're going to have to talk about
I think Pierre Strong did kind of
fill the Chris Brooks snap
He did.
It still may be a three-headed backfield.
This Packers' offense has been one of the bigger roller coasters of the season.
And Dallas next week, then Detroit, then Carolina.
Yeah.
We may want to start Marshawn Lloyd.
Okay.
Remember, they're still working in some new offensive line.
I'm in.
Does Iler play today?
I think so, actually.
But yeah, hopefully get better on the line.
and maybe they'll get Aaron Banks back at some point.
Because I either played, he didn't start.
They, uh, they're one of the few teams that consistently challenged down the field.
Like, it's fun.
You know, they, they just take shot after shot after shot.
And you saw it with Watson today, you saw it with Golden.
Like that, that's going to help, you know, Jordan Love have some big games,
you know, to his point about them being a roller coaster.
I just, I hope it continues, you know.
I don't think they're going to ever become a good running team.
even with Jacobs is there like they're not going to go back to being as good as they were with this offensive line.
But they could certainly be better with a better running back.
That being said, Marshaun Lloyd is probably a winner coming out of this game with the production that he got you in the first game without Brooks.
Giants and the commander's tie at 27.
It's their second tie in the last five years, I think.
It's weird.
And my question is you got James Winston.
Here was the 326-yard three touchdown game that was a.
inevitable, right?
Almost 32 fantasy points for him.
James Winston and Malik neighbors with two great games in a row.
And is this the time to sell even maybe Malik neighbors?
Are you just buying it?
Or likely, I mean, likely he's injured, maybe perhaps.
We'll see.
But they got the Saints, that's fine.
Then at Houston, then a buy, then at Philadelphia.
And then it's kind of a mix and match with good and bad matchups.
But just hold them or sell them, you think?
Neighbors specifically.
I think you hold.
Excuse me.
I think you hold.
20 targets is ridiculous.
I don't know how many times the Giants will be in a game where they're going to run their way to victory.
And even though J.J.
McCarthy got in a few snaps in this game, even had a couple of carries.
I think they're going to live and die by James.
And if they're doing that, that means that two dudes are going to get the ball thrown to them every single week a whole lot.
and it's going to be neighbors and likely.
Yeah, he wasn't very happy and vice versa with Darnal Mooney.
Their exchange on the sideline.
Not that that has been a factor, but still.
Just when you see a team do it against Arizona and Washington
and going to overtime against Washington, you know,
you just wonder, because that's how I felt about the Giants after week one,
the Cowboys.
They suck the next two weeks.
I think if you take off 10 points on both those guys,
on neighbors and likely, like, that's still awesome.
If you take 15 points off of likely,
like still great like there's there there's they're going to get hyper targeted and they're both
playing very well with a quarterback that has no fear about challenging in tight spots and giving them
opportunities to win so if you're selling them you're selling them for I think I don't want to
say superstars in the case of likely but yeah superstars like likely is in the conversation to be
a top three tight end this season and neighbors is back to being a healthy hopefully healthy version
of himself which is pretty awesome so
I don't think you should be trying to get rid of them unless you're getting something amazing every turn.
And it was actually an amazing second half for them.
Like the first,
James was terrible in the first half.
He was seven of 16.
He had no touchdowns.
I have a right here,
72 yards passing.
It was disgusting.
And then all of a sudden James did what James does.
And he just turned into like the best deep ball thrower ever.
And yeah,
it's Washington.
Look at their schedule.
You tell me how many tough,
tough defenses, pass rush plus secondaries they have left.
Houston's on there.
I know, I just said this.
I just said this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, yeah, they have.
I was driving the point home at him.
Yeah, but and then like, look at the Washington schedule.
The Washington next month for the commander sucks.
I mean, it's, it's at San Francisco, then a buy, then the Eagles, then the Rams.
And then it lightens up considerably.
But they got Minnesota and Jacksonville in week 16 and 17.
And they also have Houston later in this season.
Like, Washington schedule is not good.
I would take anything I can get for, for Jacori-Krosky Merritt.
Not anything I can get, but I would take something for him.
Yes.
And I don't know.
I wouldn't be so sure that Jaden Daniels is going to.
He didn't really do much as a passer today.
They had no downfield passing game.
They didn't have digs, but whatever.
Yeah, he did.
Was McClure in a full go?
I saw him at 75% route rate.
That almost felt high.
I was kind of surprised.
Yeah.
But he didn't have a good game.
I mean, he didn't have that game.
He didn't get thrown the ball.
No, and he doesn't with Jay.
and Daniels.
I think the thing you got to continue to hold for for Jay and Daniels is that there's not
going to be a fear of risking, a fear of re-injury because of the elbow.
And so if he's going to run, that's a great sign.
And so is he going to, you know, be a dominant passer in the current state of his health
and the current state of his team?
No, my biggest fear would be as if they fall out of playoff contention, do they just shut him
now?
So, like, you know, you're talking about.
the end of season schedule.
I don't know if they get there
because of just how this goes.
Now you said it, which I agree.
NFCs.
Yeah, it's an NFCs.
You know, so they could still stay in it.
But, you know, they're the one team,
at least for me, that feels like they're the least likely to win the division.
So I think just looking at it, like,
McLaurin and Diggs will be number three receivers,
probably on a week-to-week basis.
Daniels will be in the 6 to 10 range, you know,
depending on six points or four points,
unless he just continues to do this with his legs,
then he'll just keep creeping up.
But you kind of know what they are.
Would you say you thought the pass rate was?
75% route route.
I'm seeing 80%.
So it was in that same range.
And pretty much every single snap that McCorn played on.
Well, he played 34 snaps.
So about 55% of the snaps in the game,
almost all, all but 10 were pass plays,
which makes sense, fishing usage.
And I do think, like,
take the passing game numbers with a little bit of a grain of salt,
just because while this was an over,
time game. It was
a Washington playing it safe.
They've got a lead game for a lot
of the second half. He threw 25
passes. He averaged almost eight yards per
attempt. It was a pretty good day
passing efficiency. He looked good.
He looked good. Right.
All right, but it's just the Giants suck.
Anyway, let's go to New England
first place giants.
New England 45, Las Vegas
17. We talked a lot about the Patriots here.
Heath, what's your level of concern for Ashton Jentie?
10 carriers are 27 yards, 3
hatches for 50 yards?
You know, I think
he might be that borderline
top 12 running back that just
always makes you a little bit nervous.
This is a bad matchup
in terms of rushing.
Not sure.
Well, I think we can be pretty sure he was not
100% coming into this game.
It seemed like I thought
their response to that would be
maybe give Mike Washington a few more
carries and save Ashton Genti for
passing downs.
and they gave Dylan Lauby some passing downs
and used Ashton Genty on more of the rushing downs
and that's not good at all.
But mostly I still think he's a borderline top 12 running back rest of season.
I'd rather have him than Chase Brown or Bachel Toon.
Would you rather have Brock Bowers or Justin Jefferson rest of season?
Bowers.
He's amazing.
It's great.
All right.
That's that game.
Who's the number one tight end rest of season?
Yeah, it's got to be Bowers.
Kirk Cousins said...
Gotta be Bowers.
I mean, I'm on Bowers side, but I don't think it's got to be Bower.
No, I was the one screaming that it should be McBride, so I think I'd lost that.
McBride?
McBride was pretty awesome today.
He had a garbage time touchdown, and the Cardinals' offense looks bad.
I mean, this was the lot...
That touchdown was sick, though.
It was a sick, though.
It was sick.
He's averaging five...
Mark Bowers is averaging five and a half more PPR fantasy points per game than Trey McBride.
It's insane.
And McBride's been incredible.
Yeah, right.
McBride's been really good.
After the game, Kirk Cousins said that Patriots pressure was really the difference in this game.
It was.
They got home.
They got to him fast.
All right.
Pittsburgh.
They'll bounce back next week.
Buffalo's defense bed.
There you go.
Pittsburgh 34, Colts 22.
Believe it or not, when Rico Dattle is back, Jalen Warren is a, is better than Ashton Genti rest of season.
Believe it.
I think I believe it.
We have, uh, we have on CBS Sports HQ.
JJ Watt or Ross Tucker, depending on the time of day, does a hit with our crew, our NFL crew.
And I happen to listen to JJ Watt talking to Joe Musa, one of our hosts.
And Joe asked him, you know, how much of a difference maker is Jalen Warren's offense?
And this is after Aaron Rogers on the field talked about it as well with Tracy Wilson.
The reason I bring up J.J. Watt is because he's in the meetings with the coach's pregame.
And he said he's just the key to their whole team at this point.
You know, that it just, it makes sense.
Like, their offense just looks much better.
He's been awesome.
He's been awesome in the passing game when given opportunities.
Aaron Rogers was talking about, he said he loves him as a teammate,
and he goes part of the reason why is because he's just so unselfish as a blocker.
Like, you're going to have a role for Rico Dattle.
This isn't going to be what Jalen Warren gives you.
But, like, he should be their guy.
If they go away from him, then Mike McCarthy's an idiot.
Yeah.
Yeah, but comparing him to Ashton Genti, I mean, that's, you know, that's,
Jetty's still a very valuable player.
And Ashin Genti does not have a rushing touchdown this year.
Isn't that crazy?
No, everything he's doing is through the air, including in this game,
his most explosive plays were through there.
He also had a drop on top of it.
I agree.
I think Warren is better than Genti rest of season.
We've seen it now for several weeks where Warren is contributing every which way for the
Steelers.
How do you take that guy off the field other than maybe like two drives before the fourth quarter
combined and you want to give RICO a little bit of run.
So RICO is the handcuff for Jalen Warren.
Warren is a stud.
The targets are great for him too.
I don't really think this is much of a question.
And Jalen Warren is healthier than Gentie.
It's a question.
I mean, if he just said that Ashton Gentie is a borderline top 12 running out.
If I had Gentie on my team and I could trade him straight up for Jalen Warren, I would do it.
All right, all right, fine.
And then, Jamie, I know you had originally D.K. Mechaf as a loser, you switched it to Jalen Waddle.
it's pretty disappointing that he wasn't able to get anything.
He did draw a pass interference in the end zone,
but only four targets against the Colts.
With the way that Rogers played today, too, you know,
so it was a big play by Jalen Warren.
It was a lot from Jeremy Bernard.
It was Pat Farageman was getting involved.
And, you know, this was, so three of five games,
now you've had D.K. Metcalfe nine targets or more.
He just needs a volume.
And so I wouldn't panic too much if you're in the DK.
Metcalf camp.
But this was just frustrating to see Rogers, great game,
everybody else do something.
that calf do nothing. Next game is the Bengals and the dolphins. The dolphins always make it interesting,
don't they? But they always lose. 31, 24 Bengals, Joe Burrow with 32.6 fantasy points on only 190
passing yards. We talked about Chase Brown. Jamar Chase was great again. Bad day for T. Higgins.
He was 88% started. And he played a lot, but he only had four targets and a tough day for him.
I don't really know what else to say about this game. We talked about.
Ali Gordon. Heath, how about Malik Washington
led the team in receiving again
in a day where Malik Willis
finally had a good fantasy game, but what did he
throw for? He threw for 137 yards.
I don't know. Any thoughts?
I think it's three straight games from Relique Washington
between 11.1 and
12.1
or 30, you already get to a 13.1
maybe in this one, 11.8.
It's just kind of what you should expect.
Maybe he'll score a touchdown one week
and give you a 15 point game.
I think with four teams going on a buy,
he's going to be ranked as a PPR number three wide receiver.
Not this week.
Dolphins are one of the four teams.
Next time,
there's four other teams on a buy he will be.
That's probably good recovery.
I've got to learn from you.
I'm just curious what they look like when Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell are actually healthy.
Like it's not going to make them a good team,
but I wonder what just the receiving,
how it's all split up.
Yeah.
Who has more?
Ashton Genty receiving touchdown?
or Malik Willis passing touchdowns?
Gentie.
I'll go Gentie.
They're tied. Sorry, I shouldn't have done Who Has More,
but it's the only way I could bring that up.
They both have two.
Second touchdown pass of the year for...
You of all people are allowed to do a tie on
who has more today.
Houston 26, Tennessee 3.
This was a mismatch.
We talked about it Mark, C.J. Stroud,
just brush off the Nikon.
I hope he's healthy.
I don't think he finished the game at 100%.
Nico?
Yeah.
I know he finished the game, but I think he wasn't he favoring his hip a little bit in the game?
That's what I was told in the room I watched the games.
I didn't know that.
Okay.
Well, if I'm wrong, then maybe we're just spitballing on what I heard in the green room.
Heath, why did you, on the team that we share, how the hell did you drop Khalif Raymond for Carnell Tate?
I mean, this is a loss.
We are...
I think we've lost two in a row now.
And, you know, Clef Raymond had a great day, so we really missed him.
Yeah, better than Tate.
What do you think about Carnell Tate?
Can we throw out this Titans game in general?
Just no chance today against the Texans.
I am just taking this as the Texans defense is mostly back.
The Titans were completely overmatched.
They won't be this badly overmatched most weeks.
Maybe we got a little bit too excited about Carnell Tate a little too fast,
but I think if you're going to do that with anybody,
do it with rookie wide receivers who are starting to show that they might be really good.
I still think Tate's a wide receiver three rest of season.
Tater Downs, rest of season.
Tate.
Hey.
Minnesota 23, New Orleans 13.
And just domination here.
Minnesota had the ball for almost 40 minutes.
Jamie, Kyler Murray is 65% rostered.
We would assume that in two weeks he'll have his full arsenal, Jefferson, Addison, Hawkinson, my three sons.
Do you think hold him through the buy?
or is he expendable, Kyler Murray?
I think if you're rotating him
in with whatever quarterback situation you have,
whether he's your backup
or he's been your streaming starter,
you probably need to find somebody.
You probably want to keep your players on your bench
unless your bench is able to carry him.
But look, this was his best game
and we're talking 20 fantasy points.
And like you said,
we have yet to see this offense fully healthy
with Addison and Hawkinson and Jefferson
all together.
And even the backfield, you know,
being up and down
with Mason not being there.
So who knows what it all looks like, the total picture.
But the biggest thing is that he ran.
And when he runs, you're going to get good fantasy production.
When he doesn't, you're probably going to be left with what you saw the last two games.
So I don't think he's necessarily a hold.
My thought would be is how many people are picking up Kyler Murray on his by week?
Yeah, the only real argument I think I could make for it is Colts, Lions, Bill, Packers coming out of the buy.
Yeah. Now, I asked you about
Breece Hall maybe being threatened by
Braille and Allen. I asked you about Rico Dowdell
and Jalen Warren. What do you think happens
when Jordan Mason is back?
Aaron Jones has been awesome and he had another
good game today. Heath?
I think Aaron Jones is
31 or 32 years old
and they know his injury history and
they're 5 and O and probably thinking
about January.
So I think we'll see a heavy, not
like Aaron Jones will be the leadback,
but a heavy dose of Jordan Mason
as the 1B, especially on early downs.
You've had Jones each of the last three weeks,
mispractice, play with a knee brace,
left the game today, came back in the game today.
Like, he's been a hero for them,
probably playing through something that's not,
I'm sure, making him at 100%.
So I think that's definitely one to watch.
Okay.
Jets 17, Cleveland 12.
Both of these teams...
Nothing about the Saints?
Not a word about the Saints.
We talked about the Saints.
Saints. We talked about Velae. We talked about Johnson. We talked, we did. I'm flushing this game down the toilet for the Saints.
Okay. They had the ball for 20 minutes and 23 seconds. They were two of 10 on third down. Shuck was intercepted twice. The second one was a yolo
ball at the end of the game. It was, I agree with you flushing it for. Now you're flushing in a Nando's house or your house because you have an issue.
Well, and I think we talked about Shuck as a loser. And I think we all look at Olave, Velae and Johnson's stat lines is just a reflection of.
of what Shuck did.
Yeah.
Yeah, 100%.
I mean, this is a combination
of not having the ball
and Shuck being under pressure.
You know what I was thinking
since Dave is the quicker,
slicker, looker,
upper?
If any quarterback ever makes
their first start
against a Brian Flores defense
and does well,
as I assume he didn't face them last year,
I don't think he faced them last year.
I'm just wondering,
you know,
because, you know,
remember like rookie quarterbacks
versus Bill Belichick?
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I get it.
A young quarterback against this Flores defense
is just,
the way Jordan Love played against them
was really impressive in week one.
Caleb Williams was horrible against them in week two.
So it's just like, and not that it was a third time.
I'm rambling here, but you get the point.
And it was rainy and all that other stuff.
Jets 17, Cleveland 12.
This was a game where both defensive lines
dominated the opposing offensive line.
The Jets had eight sacks.
I think the Browns have.
The Browns had four sacks.
It was tough to anything to get going here.
The weather was bad.
Oh gosh, I don't even know what to say.
Let's wait until the WaverWire show to talk about the running backs.
But, hey, Heath, we got another Denzel Boston touchdown.
That was cool.
He was only started in 42% of leads.
And that was one of the rare occasions in this game where the wide receivers weren't completely awful.
And Boston had a bad drop too.
But Isaiah Bond, who had a couple of nice catches, but terrible, terrible drops.
It was just, I think this was probably the one game that the weather.
impacted in terms of the passing game.
And I thought on the other side,
it's just incredible the difference
between Gino Smith,
when the guy's open on time
and he's not pressured,
he looks like a good NFL quarterback.
And as soon as the Browns got pressure on him,
everything just crumbled.
That's a great point.
Also, Isaiah Bond was wide open.
It was open in the end zone
and Watson missed him.
Watson played okay.
Numbers are terrible,
but it was tough conditions.
Oh, he was awful at the end of the game.
He was bad at the end, yeah.
Also, but again, he was sacked eight times, so it wasn't all him.
And Garrett Wilson's amazing.
He holds the ball forever.
Would you rather have Garrett Wilson or Jalen Warren?
Or Jalen Warren?
Wilson.
Jalen Warren.
I think about the past catchers that will eventually be back for the Jets that might take a little bit off of his plate.
plus Bruce Hall will be back.
I'll take Warren.
All right.
Well, I don't know if you have Kenyon.
I had a very, very low route participation rate for Kenyon Sadiq,
and I know he left early, but I saw it was like 20% or something.
I'm going to look now, 23%, and that's still really low.
And I do wonder, what was Mason Taylor?
Mason Taylor was 63%.
So I'm going to see what that says tomorrow,
because it'll be more accurate, and I'll take a look at just the first half.
But I think it's possible Mason Taylor kind of took Sadiq off the field.
Well, he's going to get dropped in a lot of leagues
and then he gets the dolphins in week seven,
so keep that in mind.
Denver 23, Chargers 17.
You know, it's just not Justin Herbert's fault.
I don't know why the defense has to play so hard against him.
No, listen, I think I've told the story before
of the first Super Bowl I ever watched was the Bears and the Patriots,
and I started off cheering for the Patriots,
and by the third quarter I felt so bad,
or it was cheering for the Bears,
and by the third quarter I felt so bad for the Patriots
that I just wanted them to score.
And I got to that point with the Chargers
when Trey Harris got hurt today.
It's an impossible situation,
and the Broncos played awful.
No, but Herbert's interceptions
pathetic, especially that.
Yeah, and the fumbles were bad, too.
Yeah.
Adam convinced me this afternoon
in one league to start both
Trey Harris and Ronda Gadsden
that works out great.
Yeah, the fact that it was like
Charlie Kohler was...
No, who was the guy
that caught the touchdown?
I'm sorry, I shouldn't admit this
is a fantasy football analyst.
Yes, that'll be crazy too.
Rucci?
Yeah, I think that's it.
Oh, yeah.
H. Rucci.
How many, how many?
H-for-H-back?
How many backup tight-end slash H-backs caught touchdowns that drove it was crazy?
Bengals at two.
Oh, one, sorry, Hudson, I guess.
Good question.
Tegan, Cardinals at Tijuana.
Tegan had two.
Oh, man.
All right, so anyway, thoughts on the chart.
Who's the best chargers?
running back rest of season.
Ladenian Tomlinson.
I don't want to.
Look, I love Keaton Mitchell, and
I think he's interesting
to have on your bench, but they've gone
to a three-way
split at running back.
And, you know, Jamie and I watched
the games with Rancarthon
and Damian Harris. They work
for CBS Sports HQ. They give
unflinching analysis on CBS Sports
HQ. And I asked them both, like,
is that, how bad is that for a running
back to split with two other guys and both of them just kind of like rolled their eyes and said
it's the worst.
And Damien Harris, of course, was with the Patriots and they use 17 different running backs
from game to game.
And you just can't get into a rhythm.
You don't get a feel for what the opponent does or how they're playing.
And Vidal had a very fortuitous run for a touchdown.
And I don't want people to get excited for that because on his other carries, he had 15 yards
on seven attempts.
This run game stinks.
This offensive line stinks.
If you want to take a chance on a running back,
I guess you start Hampton,
but you're going to get games like this
where he's averaging two yards of carry.
And then Keaton Mitchell,
I would like to think that they would use them more
as an explosive option out of the backfield
and catching passes.
They did it last week.
This week they didn't do it.
I don't know why.
I don't know why they do anything.
They're a mess.
They're 0 and 5.
They literally should not try and win another game
the rest of the year.
Put Justin Herbert on ice,
tank for Jeremiah Smith,
and then just draft nothing but offensive linemen
for the rest of your 20,
and draft and hope that you've got enough there.
It will be the greatest summer of all time
if they get to draft Jeremiah Smith.
The greatest summer of all time.
I think he's the one dude who might be able to like
transcend all the bad.
No, they'll find other guys.
Can he called place?
No.
Well, that they can fix too in L.A.
Question.
Would you rather have J.K. Dobbins coming off a nice game
finally or O'Marion Hampton?
Dobbins.
I'll take Hampton.
I think he'll be healthier all season long.
I don't want to start either one.
Detroit 45, Arizona, 21.
Buy-sell, hold, Jared Goff.
I think we should try to sell high on Jared Goff?
No.
I mean, he's been 20 fantasy points more in every game,
and he plays with one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
All right, let's just keep him then.
Did you see Jemir Gibbs get mad at him, like,
just kind of play mad, but get mad at him for the sneak?
No.
They were talking on the broadcast about how Gibbs told them his goal this year is to break Ledani and Tomlinson's touchdown record.
Oh, that's funny.
And he has nine, I think, in five games now.
And he got stuffed and goff did the QB sneak.
And he just kind of like raised his hands up.
Amazing.
Yeah, they're a fun team.
Is there any concern about Amon Ross St. Brown?
He has scored 40.3 fantasy points in PPR in his last three games combined.
By low, if somebody is.
Yep.
And they're going into their buy.
So if you got a St. Brown manager is 1 and 4, go for it.
He had 11 targets this week.
He had 11 targets last week.
Jameson Williams with the Jamison Williams.
Do you try and trade James and Williams for a Monrox, St. Brown?
What a weird game for him.
Yep.
Two catches, 47.
This is the James experienced.
And frat.
Yeah, but it hasn't been the experience this year.
So high on JMO now.
Yes.
Two good games in a row for him, right?
If you can.
I'm a little mad at Thomas for not putting Sam Laporte on
graphic.
Heath, I thought of you when I left it off.
I was like,
Heath is going to see this and not be happy.
What you should have done is made a separate graphic
with Sam Laporta's head on one side and Heath's head on the other side.
I haven't talked about Jeremiah Love yet.
Neither of the Cardinals.
Yeah, so at least he got a lot of character.
They'll be trading it next year.
It's so sad.
It almost looks like he hit the rookie wool in like week three.
And preseason week one.
He just wants it to be over.
Like, he said it last week.
Yeah.
But I think it's just, it's just another one of those, like, sometimes ankle injuries, if they don't, if you don't let them go away, they don't go away.
Well, I think he just hates everything Arizona right now.
But here's the thing.
Like, you look at the Cardinals, they just face the lions.
I keep, I keep bringing this up.
Their next six games, Rams, Broncos, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams.
chiefs, two Rams,
Broncos, Seahawks,
chiefs in there and just get the Cowboys.
And their offense really isn't operating
at that high of a level.
No. I think it could be, you know,
if this is, if they score, what do they score?
21 points against
the lions today.
Last week, they scored, let me just check
how many against the Giants.
They scored 24 points
against the Giants. Now they threw an interception
at the goal line to end the game.
What the hell do we expect from this team against good defenses?
It could be really bad.
And he's splitting almost evenly with Alger in terms of snaps.
Alger is getting the high value touches, 12 of 18 on third down, four of six inside the 10.
I don't know when there will be a good time to start Jeremiah.
What about McIride and Wilson and everyone?
Well, I mean, you're starting McBride every week.
I think Wilson's a number two receiver every week.
I think you want to pick up Kendrick Bourne to see what this becomes.
they're going to just throw this.
This is what they thought they're going to be.
It was 40 plus 50 plus pass attempts.
Like that's going to be their MO.
And whether it's successful or not,
that's just depending on who they play
and how much you get excited about them.
This was the week to get excited about them
because Detroit stinks.
And so I think in terms of the running backs,
you know, you said this,
which I don't think was wrong,
Adam, when he had the big game two weeks ago
that he thought he was going to be a top 10 running back rest of season.
There's going to be another game or two,
no matter who they're playing,
that he's going to pop off, have a big run, big play.
He's just too explosive.
You sell him immediately.
So what happened that week was he got a ton of work.
Alger did basically nothing.
And he got the goal line work.
And it just looked like, okay, the first two games, whatever, we were having fun.
In San Francisco.
Now it's his show.
Now it's his game.
He re-injured his ankle.
He heard his different ankle, right?
He heard a different ankle last week.
That's what they said.
Jeremy, I love.
So, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have just brushed it off.
Maybe he isn't healthy.
But I'm just saying,
in general. I'm wondering, should I trade
Tray McBride for Tucker
Kraft and a good
number two receiver or something like that?
You got to get higher than that.
All right. The craft part of it is fine,
but you got to get not just the number two.
That's got to be like a borderline number one. Like if you're trading
for if you still believe in A.J. Brown and Devante Smith,
like that's the kind of trade you got to look. Okay.
So yeah, Tucker Kraft and Devante Smith
for McBride. And it's a fair deal?
If I need receiver help, I'm considering it. Yeah.
Don't love it, but I'm considering it.
All right. Now to the game of the
week. Seattle 32. Nope. San Francisco 32, Seattle 29. Well, if you were nervous about starting your
49ers, you got 20 points from Purdy, you got a decent, you know, solid game from McCaffrey. He scored.
Mike Evans is awesome. He was awesome. Love it. Yeah. He's, every time he walks to the sideline,
I'm afraid he's hurt. Yeah. Yeah, I saw that. It's just how he walks. There was a report. I don't know where it was
that said somebody suggests, or John Lynch suggested to Mike Evans, like, you're not playing.
He's two weeks ago.
And he said, no, I'm playing.
And, like, the rib injury was that bad.
Like, they didn't want to risk him getting, you know, having further injury.
And so for him to be playing through this and playing like this is just, you're thrilled.
And one of the greatest, like, smack talk moments.
Somebody said it in the chat.
I don't know who you are.
The turning digs around to look at his next.
name on the back of his jersey.
It was fantastic.
Diggs was talking trash to him.
He just grabbed him by their shoulders and turned around and looked at his nameplate.
It was hilarious.
That's cool as hell.
I didn't see that.
George Kittle sucks, obviously.
Drop him.
No, just kidding.
And Emmanuel Wilson, another game with 20 plus touches and a touchdown.
And they've got a Thursday game against Denver.
So they've already said it might be tough to get Zach Charbonnet back for that game.
So you might have another week of Emmanuel Wilson as a featureback.
He did fumble once, but George Halani fumbled twice.
I assume another big workload for Emmanuel Wilson and the Broncos run defense other than, no, no, today they were bad against Vidal anyway.
Well, on one run.
Yeah.
But I'm not ready to say they're, they're, well, but you can't judge them against the Chargers because they're like their whole offensive line is like a preseason.
Any running back that's going to have 20.
Any running back that's going to have 20 plus touches, you're starting.
And Wilson's got that.
That was good.
That was good.
Could you put the Chargers and Eagles offensive lines together and have a good offensive line?
It would probably just be the Eagles offensive line.
He's on fire!
Only if they all got to play at the same time?
Well, that's right now.
Right.
Were there any other thoughts you had on this game?
Once Slater gets better.
You know, I'm going to say something.
Chris McAvary has been good.
He has not been great.
Yeah.
He's having the Seekwant Barkley here, right?
Not hurt.
Playing, not playing great.
At least he's scoring.
That brings up a good point because I was going to ask you guys.
I think we should have some sort of contest for the rest of the season that decides who has to write the Jemir Gibbs 400 touches next summer.
Nobody's going to want to do it, but he is going, like, he might have 450 touches.
I mean, he's not going to do that too.
Who's the, if you're building your team right now, which running back you pick in?
NFL.
NFL team.
So we had this conversation with, uh,
Ran and Damien also.
Damien took Gibbs,
me, ran, and Pete Prescoe all took Bejohn.
Is there a wrong answer?
No.
Scatabin would be a wrong answer, I'd say.
No, yeah.
Thanks for watching, listening, everyone.
Oh, we got some Bijans in here.
I would go Bijan, but I'm not quite sure why.
He's bigger.
He's bigger.
You know, he's got the size to handle the punishment.
it.
You put them both on the dolphins.
It was better.
Ollie Gordon.
Gips.
This is a strong finish to the show.
This is Tomlinson versus Terrell Davis again, right?
Is that what it was back in the day?
Was it not Tomlinson?
It was Terrell Davis.
Definitely not.
It was Barry Sanders.
I'm sorry.
Barry Sanders versus Thorell Davis.
No, it was Marshall Folk, wasn't it?
No, it was Barry Sanders versus Terrell Davis.
I think it was Tomlinson.
versus Falk.
That could have been as well.
Yes.
Yeah.
But the original...
Sean Alexander
had a couple of years
in there too with Tomlinson.
When I first started playing fantasy football,
I'm pretty sure it was Terrell Davis versus...
It was late 90s.
Well, Terrell Davis had like three years.
Barry Sanders.
Yeah, but it was the best.
All right.
Good night, everyone.
We will talk to you tomorrow with Beyond the Box Score.
Hopefully we'll talk a little more about Chase Brown,
see if we can figure out what's going on there.
And whatever else is on your mind.
Thanks again to Heath.
