What a play!
Can you believe this?
I know I can.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
This is going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
What's up, everybody?
Welcome to Fantasy Football Today, presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas.
We are pumped up to talk about week six as the 1 o'clock and 4 o'clock games are in the books.
Giants and Bengals will start soon, but for those of you listening on Monday, you already know what happened.
We've got, let's see, how many?
We've got four quarterbacks scoring 30 or more
actually five purdy and non-decimals at 29 points but if you include him because he got to 30 uh 30
quarterbacks scoring five or more points in destiny quarterbacks scored five or more points
is that a record with four teams on a buy yeah well you know like cooper rush got it there he
could have done it uh anyway five quarterbacks scored 30 or more fantasy points
in decimal six point per passing touchdown leagues.
Just big news real quick.
Travis Etienne left with a hamstring injury.
DJ Moore left.
Do we know if he's okay?
They got a bye coming up.
We don't know.
I know that he was getting his arm worked on during the game
and that he came back in and nearly scored on a rush after that.
I think it was a rush.
No, it was a shovel pass.
Okay, so not a rush.
He played 51 of 58 snaps.
It should have been Caleb Williams' fifth pass touchdown of the game,
in which case Adam might have felt bad about dropping him
and not letting me pick him back up.
You didn't really make a sincere effort to pick him back up.
You made a troll effort to pick him back up.
I bid $79 and you dollars, and you said no.
What do you think Dalton would go for on the waiver wire?
Jaden Reed is fine, but Dontavian Wicks is not.
He left in the first half with a shoulder injury.
He had three targets on seven routes run.
One of the leaders in target per route run rate this week, Dontavian Wicks.
Marvin Harrison left in the second quarter with a head injury as a concussion.
Chris Olave left in the first quarter
with a concussion, and Dallas Goddard
left in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.
With that being said,
you want to talk about Caleb Williams?
Now might be the time. Dave, who's the biggest winner
in Week 6? He is
the biggest winner. It goes without saying.
Just the game that he had and the fact that he
didn't have too many mistakes as far as being a rookie quarterback goes, the interception was,
was pretty ugly, but he's, he's, he's coming into his own. He's playing better. Uh, they're using
everybody in the offense. They're running the ball more effectively and listen, he beat up on
Jacksonville. So I want to see him do something similar to this against a tougher defense and I don't know if we're going to see that anytime
soon because the defense is in the future for the Bears it's the commanders it's the Cardinals it's
the Patriots those are his next three games after the week seven bye I think you can make the case
that holding on to Caleb Williams through his bye especially if you're not in love with who
your starting quarterback is,
makes all the sense in the world.
I had a buyer sell,
buy or sell.
Caleb Williams will be better than CJ Stroud rest of season.
And right now it's probably pretty close,
probably Stroud by a bit.
He has one more touchdown pass,
but Williams has almost a hundred more rushing yards.
Williams has one more interception, 260 more passing yards for Stroud.
So I'm guessing he's got more fantasy points.
But if you had to pick one rest of season, Stroud or Caleb Williams, who would you pick?
Stroud.
I think if I was betting on who was going to score more fantasy points rest of season,
I would bet on Stroud.
Okay.
And then pass attempts of 10 or more air yards,
this is the evolution of Caleb Williams here.
First four weeks, 14 of 45,
no touchdowns, three interceptions.
Last two weeks, eight of 15, 190 yards,
and three touchdowns, one interception.
Just so much better.
Okay, Heath, who's the biggest loser this week
if Caleb Williams is the biggest winner?
I was going to say you because you dropped Caleb Williams,
but that would be mean, and so I will not say that.
I think the biggest loser this week was Calvin Ridley.
Eight targets on 27 pass attempts from,
and how about that question you asked this morning on Twitter?
Who should I have benched?
Calvin Ridley, Travis Etienne, or Tank Bigsby?
All of them.
Bench all of them.
Because they're terrible.
Hey, I lost that league.
Shock.
Shocker.
Speaking of who's terrible, Calvin Ridley's quarterback, Will Levis.
No.
The question was, are the Colts so bad that they could make Will Levis good?
No.
They are not that bad.
But they are terrible.
And the Titans were worse.
I have very little hope for anything passing game related.
DeAndre Hopkins came back and did not look like he had any more juice.
Maybe they should try getting him two weeks off and see if that helps.
I am, thank goodness for Tony Pollard.
Three straight teams have thrown for 312
or more yards against the Colts.
Had.
Yeah.
We'll let us through for 95.
95.
Yeah. All right. So our biggest winner caleb williams our biggest loser calvin ridley i don't know if you saw what he said after the
game but he was pissed off and he's like so this i to confess i didn't watch the clip it was one
of those where they put a clip on twitter and put the quote underneath so you don't know what he
actually said i You know what?
Be irresponsible of me to say it because I may be wrong,
but yeah, it seemed like he was pretty angry.
He said, please start Mason Rudolph next week.
He didn't say that, but may as well.
CBS Sports HQ.
I want to tell you about CBS Sports HQ because it is really awesome.
It's 24-7 sports coverage. When we were growing
up, there was this great sports coverage all the time, and then it got so dumb, and it was just
people arguing all the time. CBS Sports HQ is where it's at. If you're a serious sports fan,
if you're a gambler, fantasy, whatever it is, just get the CBS Sports app, have it on my Roku,
and just watch CBS Sports HQ. Give it a shot. Try and you'll see highlights that cover everything that's relevant. And you're going to love it. Let's do a little
buyer sell here. The first one is buyer sell. You should sell high on. Oh, by the way, I'm sorry.
Just want to let you know, Jamie's on his way. He's always a little late on Sunday night because
he's in transit. He's doesn't he's not neglecting the show. But buy or sell, you should sell high on Baker Mayfield.
I don't think you can.
I don't think anybody's going to overpay for Baker.
What are you going to get for him?
All right, then I'll rephrase it.
Buy or sell, Baker Mayfield is a top eight quarterback rest of season.
Buy. I think I'm going to buy.
You know, he did it against Atlanta,
and they had been really good.
And they go, well, this is tough.
The Saints have given up one touchdown pass all year.
He scored 33.9 points today
and six points per pass in touchdown leagues.
He scored 20 or more points now in 11 of his last 13 games.
He's running pretty well.
It's 29 rushing yards today, 42 rushing yards last week.
I don't know.
I mean, I guess hold, right?
Just if you have him to hold, have fun.
By yourself, Rashad White should never see the field again,
barring an entry.
I think he can see the field on passing downs.
I don't see how they can go back to him
as their main running back.
I would just say,
he's been awesome as a pass catcher
the last two years,
especially in terms of catch rate,
and it's looked really good.
But maybe that was just a Baker Mayfield stat
because they threw the ball five times
to Sean Tucker and Bucky Irving.
Those guys caught all five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.
What happens to Saints?
Yeah, they got their doors blown off.
Next up, sell high on Bijan Robinson.
15 carries, 95 yards, two touchdowns, three catches, 10 yards at Carolina.
One of the easiest matchups he can have.
You should sell high on Bijan Robinson, buy or sell?
I'm going to buy it, but the emphasis is on high when it comes to sell high.
So don't come after me saying that this is the end of, I'm saying that this is the end of Bijan.
I'm not going to give them up for nothing, but this is an off ramp for fantasy managers who
have been nervous or upset about what they've gotten out of Bijan Robinson through the first
five weeks. This is your chance to get them off your team, get something really good in return.
I mean that really good. And then you can not have this headache again, because as good of a game as he had, he played 56% of the snaps.
Guess who played more inside the five?
You already know the answer.
If I'm saying guess who wasn't him.
So the, the, the offensive line looked great.
Everything looked great.
They took on Carolina, Carolina's defense folded.
It was bad.
And so Bijan looked good.
They got Seattle next week.
I think he could have another good game against Seattle.
But after that, I think he's got some difficult matchups in his future.
And I would strongly consider selling him,
knowing that he is going to continue to split reps.
What side of this what would you okay
what side of this trade would you rather be on bijan robinson and hold on bijan robinson and
let's say davante adams or tyree hill and and james connor no tyree kill and aaron jones tyree
kill and aaron jones or bijan robinson
and davante that is not high enough adam that's not close to high enough okay i'm trading bijan
robinson for a guy who i don't know when he's going to play football again or a guy who we're
hoping his quarterback comes no you're giving up bijan and adams and you're getting tyree kill
and aaron jones oh okay. Oh, gosh.
I'm trying to make a trade with Dave in the podcast league on the air,
and it's proving more difficult than I anticipated.
No.
All right, all right.
Listen, we're going to take a break and come back.
I have Bijan in the podcast league.
I was trying to see what I could get from Dave in return.
We're going to come back and talk.
I'm the one saying so high.
Why are you trying to trade him to me?
I don't know. I don't
need to trade him. I'll keep him.
That's the point. Unless somebody comes
to you saying, all right, Bijan's back.
Here you go.
Take my two best players or something like that.
Of course you're going to hang on to him.
Okay, but if you told me that
Tyreek Hill were playing,
if Tua was playing in week eight,
I would trade Bijan for Tyreek Hill in a PPR league.
I would try to get more than Tyreek.
That's the type of sell-high move I'm looking for.
Okay, because I can't sit here and just assume
that Tua is definitely coming back.
It feels that way.
But yeah, I mean, I think Tyreek Hill
could be the number one receiver in fantasy. I mean, I'm sure we all feel that way. I think Tyreek Hill could be the number one receiver in family.
We all, I'm sure we all feel that way.
I still think Bijan could be the number one running back in fantasy.
See, now that I don't think I buy.
Why do you feel that way, Heath?
Because I think the number, I'm not even going to look, but I'm going to guess that the current number one running back in fantasy has several games this year where he's had a snap share of 56% or lower.
He just scores all of the touchdowns.
Bijan is an extremely talented running back on a very good offense.
That's going to be heavily involved in the past game.
He could score two touchdowns a game the rest of the season.
And I wouldn't be surprised.
Two touchdowns a game.
Yes.
You'd be surprised.
He's that good.
In a major way. That would be pretty, that'd be pretty he's that good in a major way that would be pretty
that'd be pretty wild i mean yeah i just i he might give him 15 to 20 touches a game and he
might just score two touchdowns a game but that's part of the problem is that how often is he going
to get 15 to 20 touches a game you probably get that most weeks but again we're you know what
look we're not saying just sell bijan robinson it's got to be blown away and he's probably not going to be blown away. All right. We're going
to take a break here. Jamie's here. We're going to talk to him when we come back on Fantasy Football
Today. We'll be right back. Did you know that across Ontario, utility damage happens 19 times
a day? That's over 4,222 incidents a year. Don't let your next dig be one that causes costly delays or safety risks.
Before you break ground, make it a point to request a locate. It's not just the law,
it's a step to keep your team and community safe. Visit ontarioonecall.ca and avoid unnecessary
damages to get the job done right. Data sourced from the ORCGA 2023 Dirt Report.
All right, welcome back.
Jamie, you get to go first here.
By yourself, since you're going to be writing the waiver wire column,
Demario Douglas, currently 17% rostered,
six catches, 92 yards, and a touchdown on nine targets.
That's two straight games with nine targets.
By yourself, Demario Douglas will be the most added player in week seven.
I hope we don't have any more injuries between now and tuesday so let's take
that out of the equation uh most added sure i'll buy it macarendo he was he was on my big winners
list and i love the fact that after the game his head coach said that they are going to look into
ways to play him in two wide receiver sets because he's been so good we don't need to just play this guy when there's three wide receivers on the field um man how much of a lifesaver for
that passing game is drake may agreed and tamaro douglas last year his a dot was oh it was 8.2
yards okay i thought it was lower it's been about it's been about that eight point no it's been
higher than that 8.7 yards 9.7 yards in his last two games.
I don't like the guys necessarily who are like the 5-yard, 6-yard ADOTs.
So that's good.
They're using him downfield a little bit more.
All right, so Demario Douglas is going to be a winner
and is going to be added.
Like, is there any question in your mind
that if you had to choose between two wide receivers,
Christian Watson and Demario Douglas, who's it going to be?
How serious is Jaden Reed's injury?
We think he's fine.
He played almost every snap.
There were clips of him talking in the locker room and he looked jovial.
So let's say Jaden Reed's fine.
Is it that a tough call?
Watson versus Douglas?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
All right, we'll talk about it on Tuesday.

Alright, news and notes here.
We went through some of it.
Cleveland is sticking with Deshaun Watson.
Good, I think he's earned that.
Poor Kevin Stefanski.
He hasn't thrown for 200 yards yet,
and he's got to be among the league leaders
in pass attempts.
It's ridiculous.
He's the worst quarterback in the NFL.
Hard to argue against that.
Jerome Ford left in the first quarter.
Nick Chubb is expected back next week.
Travis Etienne, the hamstring.
Tajay Spears also left with a hamstring injury.
And then, Jamie, if you want to get into this,
you had James Conner as a loser.
They started the second half with Trey Benson getting four carries.
And then James Conner on the next possession had a couple of catches
and he fumbled one of them.
And that was his last touch.
And then, as Dave alerted me to, their coach, Jonathan Gannon,
said that Conner's fine.
It was a game script thing.
That's why I didn't play much.
They were getting blown out.
But you had James Conner as a loser coming off a disappointing game here.
It was a good matchup.
You know, I thought he would do better.
You know, I said earlier this week that he was a sell-high candidate.
I hope he's not hurt.
I mean, it sounds like he's fine.
But, look, this team is seemingly lost.
Like, one week they look great.
One week, they look terrible.
I just don't understand what's going on with the Cardinals.
So we'll see.
I don't know if you missed your sell high window because I think as long as he's healthy,
you're starting in most weeks, but this was just a bad performance across the board.
So sometimes you just got to say a guy played poorly, team played poorly.
He played poorly.
How excited would you be to buy low on James Connor?
Oh, I mean, if i could turn you know
somebody like if you tell me right now i could turn juju smith schuster to receiver needy team
for james connor i do that a minute sure bucky irving or james connor rest of season see that's
a tough one just because you know what's what's happening with rashad white and more importantly
do we have three guys now that the bucks can use because tucker looked awesome also he looks so
good yeah so that's why it why, assuming Connor's healthy,
I think I'd rather have Connor.
I feel like he's less of a headache.
I'd rather have Connor from a player standpoint.
But again, you know his history.
It's three to four missed games, five of the last six years.
So is that coming?
All right.
More news.
Wide receiver.
We think DJ Moore is fine.
Chris Olavi, the concussion.
Wicks, shoulder. Elijah Olavi, the concussion. Wicks, shoulder.
Elijah Moore left in the fourth quarter.
I pretty much gave all the... Harrison concussion. I did say that one, yeah.
I said that at the top of the show. Harrison concussion.
And Quentin Johnston left
in the first quarter, but I think he came back.
It seemed like he played a lot. He, McConkie, and Hayden Hurst
all left and came back. I don't know about Hurst,
but McConkie and Johnston. And Jamar Ball.
And Jamar Ball, yeah. Thank goodness. and came back. I don't know about Hurst, but McConaughey and John. No, I think Hurst did not, actually. And Jamarbaugh. And Jamarbaugh, yeah, thank goodness.
That's scary, actually.
That was scary, yeah.
I'm glad.
Dallas Goddard hamstring,
and then a lot of offensive line injuries.
Cleveland's backup center left in the first quarter.
He's out.
Bad day.
You know, the Eagles did get a win.
It was not an easy one,
but Darius Slay got hurt for them.
Their left tackle, Jordan Maialata, got hurt,
and Dallas Goddard left with an injury.
So we'll see if they can make it back for Saquon Barkley Day
at MetLife Stadium next week.
We had the best performance today by a long snapper.
Yep.
Oh, yeah.
Cole Komet.
Also on the wide receivers, sorry to rewind,
but I don't know that Mike Evans is 100% healthy.
He kind of hobbled to the locker room at one point
and then looked almost like a decoy for a good portion of the rest of the game.
It's really true.
It was when Baker threw his first interception.
He went straight from the field to the locker room,
but I couldn't find anything of significance on him.
I can look around a little more before we're done here.
Oh, he went up against the Saints and it happened again.
I really don't think Lattimore shadowed him.
He just didn't have a good game.
Maybe it was health-related.
Okay, other major things.
Aiden Hutchinson, that was terrible to see.
They're going to be without him almost certainly for the rest of the season.
And also cornerback Carlton Davis for the Lions.
He left with a concussion.
He got kicked in the head.
His helmet came off and got kicked in the head by a teammate.
And there were other.
Patrick Sertan left with a concussion right out of the gate.
Washington had a couple of big injuries on the defensive line.
Dorrance Armstrong.
I got a lot of it.
Yeah.
Dorrance Armstrong, first half.
Jonathan Allen in the second half. Those guys left with. I got a lot of it. Yeah. Doran's Armstrong. First half, Jonathan Allen.
And the second half,
those guys left with injuries.
They play Carolina next week and a very good linebacker for the Texans.
Aziz Alshire.
He left and let's go to our winners and losers.
Jamie,
you've got Trey McBride.
And we talked about Caleb Williams at the top of the show.
I'm assuming you'll be holding him through his bi-week as we all will.
Yeah,
I know.
I know.
Trey McBride though.
Eight catches, 96 yards on eight. Oh, Jacob Gibbs is here. What's up? Jacob Gibbs. him through his bye week as we all will yeah i know i know trey mcbride though uh eight catches
96 yards on eight oh jacob gibbs is here what's up jacob gibbs uh eight catches 96 yards on eight
targets at the packers big day for him it's good to see him step up and we don't know how long this
uh concussion is going to linger for marvin harrison unfortunately so it might be right
back to where trey mcbride was a year ago where he was just getting every target for the cardinals
and every target for
Kyler Murray.
So you could be looking at the number one tight end for who knows how long,
but maybe just a one week situation,
but good to just see him play at the level that we know he's capable of
playing.
Did you want to say anything?
I mean,
we talked a lot about Caleb Williams.
We did a Caleb Williams or CJ Stroud.
Oh,
you got a Caleb Williams versus Jane Daniels now.
Yeah.
I guess the only thing with Caleb Williams is,
as you evaluate him for the rest of the season,
his last two games have been against the, who was it?
The Jaguars and the Panthers.
So I'm buying, look, I know I dropped him.
I still have him in three leagues.
I'm buying him.
He's obviously playing well.
He's processing.
He's going through his reads.
He looks great. But how much of this is the competition? That's the only question.
Well, it's definitely the competition, but you know, look, there's going to be good matchups.
There's going to be bad matchups. You know, the, the lions matchup is looking a little bit better
now. He hasn't played them twice yet. So, you know, things are going to evolve as the season
goes on. But the thing that you like to see is when he's getting these good matchups, he's taking
advantage of it, you know? So if, if this is what he's capable of doing in good
matchups, you know, you'll have a, I think a good feel for maybe what the floor could be.
So this is now the hope of what is the start of a strong finish for him. You know, it's
unfortunate that their buy is coming because he's getting hot at the right time. So we could be
looking at two rookies as number one quarterbacks,
rest of the way,
you know,
not just one.
All right.
Dave's winners.
Now here's what we need to talk about.
10 catches on 10 targets for 102 yards.
He did fumble.
This would be Evan Ingram in his second game of the season.
After a long absence,
he's only 76% rostered and huge game for Ingram.
And your other winner is tank Dell who had nine targets, seven catches, 57 yards and a touchdown.
But yeah, start with Evan Ingram.
What do you want to say about him?
Well, look, anytime the Jaguars have a tough time running the football and they've got to put the ball in the air,
I think it's clear that Evan Ingram will have a role.
I think that's going to be pretty much every single game for the rest of the season because their defense is terrible.
Their run game is a huge teal question mark with leopard spots and or I guess Jaguar spots. And Evan Ingram is just he was kind of that easy short area guy for for Lawrence to go to pretty much all game long. I think the Bears, we all watched the game. I didn't see the all 22, obviously, but I would guess that the Bears were focused on taking away the big play with Thomas. That opened things up underneath for Evan Ingram.
I think most defenses will do that. I think Evan Ingram is going to continue
to see good target volume as the Jaguars have to claw
their way in every single game moving forward. A minimum top
10 tight end, if not top five.
And he will usurp Christian Kirk as far as targets, volume, yardage, etc.
I want Jamie to ask his question because I think it was the same question
that I was going to ask and I want to see.
No, I just wonder if there's a sell high window here on Evan Ingram for two reasons.
One, you probably picked up a tight end in the interim that he was out.
And I wonder if,
you know,
Tucker craft is,
you know,
I know I did that,
you know,
Tucker craft was one disappointing game for him,
but there's a coaching change coming in Jacksonville very soon.
And when you get the coaching change is Evan Ingram's role,
better,
worse,
same,
you know,
and,
and it's just,
it's just,
uh,
I don't know. Any worse though. I'm sorry. Why would it be any worse? Evan Ingram's role, better, worse, same. You know, and it's just an unknown.
Why would it be any worse, though?
I'm sorry?
Why would it be any worse?
Because Doug Peterson's offense has been the most tight end centric offense in the NFL.
And this game is clearly a great one.
And we didn't see a lot of great ones for him consistently when Kirk was healthy last year.
Yeah.
So if you can flip him to a team that's tight end needy, which we know a lot of fantasy managers are,
this is actually a great week for tight ends.
But if you can flip him to a tight end needy team,
it might not be a bad move just because he may be somebody who's on your
bench.
Okay.
I would guess that one of the candidates to be the interim coach could be
Mike McCoy.
It's definitely Mike McCoy.
If they stay just in house.
Yeah.
I mean,
I mean,
that's usually what they do.
Like chargers,
chargers fans are, like, screaming,
oy, at that.
But I don't think they're going to be able to do much
to change the offense.
That's rearranging chairs on the Titanic.
It's just not going to be that good.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, I'm not saying it's a slam dunk.
You should be looking to trade him,
but it's just not a bad idea given the circumstance.
It's not like this guy's been your starter for a month.
He's coming back from a significant injury,
and you may have found something.
You know, you made him a trade.
You may have found somebody off waivers.
You know, it's just something to consider.
Yeah.
All right, and Tank Dale, Dave,
you going to continue to start him until Nico Collins is back?
Yeah, I mean, that's the idea.
This isn't necessarily a long-term winner,
but somebody who at least for the next three games for Houston,
you can feel really good about starting. A blowout win for the Texans. He led the way with nine targets,
and he looked good. Scored a touchdown. It was a short touchdown early in the game.
I think you can look at him as, at minimum, a flex, but he's he's escape boom bus flex territory for at least the next three games.
He's better than that.
I would guess next week's game is going to be probably the most high scoring
or one of the more high scoring matchups of the week.
He's got the Packers.
Yeah.
All right, Heath, your winners.
We've got the Colts after that, James.
Your winners are Justin Fields and Demario Douglas.
We talked about Demario Douglas.
So Justin Fields was started in 46% of leagues.
And here are his fantasy points in six points for passing touchdown leagues
the last four games.
20.4, 34, 19.9, and today 23.7.
I was just going to introduce him as the high upside quarterback you didn't drop but um no i think most importantly
they just completely whipped the raiders i mean this was the game where okay russell wilson's
ready russell wilson's looking over your shoulder and he didn't play a perfect game by any stretch
he threw for 145 yards but they whipped the raiders that he had a design run inside the
10 they had two rushing
touchdowns they got home games against the jets and the giants the next two weeks that i think
it seems like the job's his and he's got a maybe just a little bit of cushion now hey man i picked
up tank bigsby okay all right let's uh actually instead of going to break, let's stick with... You keep saying that, though.
You could have had Tank Bigsby and Caleb Williams.
You dropped...
I'm aware.
I'm aware.
I've been reminded.
I think I know this by now.
It is seared in my brain.
I get it.
All right, let's go to our losers.
Is this worse or better than the Jefferson one?
The Jefferson one was actually perfectly reasonable.
He didn't really have a lot of hype coming into the season,
and he did nothing for two games.
His rookie season...
It's true. It's true.
You guys didn't really like him that much.
Nobody was picking...
This was not a guy who was in high demand.
You may not remember.
I do not have that recollection at all.
That is exactly how it was.
His rookie season was actually a big surprise.
It was a big surprise.
We weren't drafting him like we were drafting Harrison and neighbors,
but I'm pretty sure we were taking him middle rounds.
Yeah, like the eighth round, if not later.
I want to go back to Fields for a second.
He's got to be a sell-high candidate.
Why?
Because the first bad game, it feels like Russ is going to be in there.
I agree.
He really did not have a clean game.
That's not what you get from Justin Fields.
But the upside, I think even –
and they were talking about it on the broadcast a little bit.
They know that Russell Wilson is the safer option,
but the potential of what could be with Fields
if they stick with him by the end of the year
is just they can't pass it up.
I think both
points are accurate. It's one of those things
where I think he struggles and
they'll bench him. That does not mean
they'll stick with Russ if Russ and Lesk just comes in
and blows the doors off whatever game they bench him in.
But at the same time,
if you're looking at your team and you're evaluating your future,
Justin Fields could be their starter long-term.
Russell Wilson can't.
Okay.
Justin Jefferson had an 11th round ADP.
So don't tell me that he was super hyped because he absolutely wasn't.
Let's go to Heath's losers here.
We'll start with Heath.
As we talk about the losers,
who do you have Heath?
Darnell Mooney and Amari Cooper.
Well,
that was it.
This was my Joe Boo week for Amari Cooper.
So I do it myself from now on.
But go ahead, Heath.
Yeah, I think like even for just hoping
for the Browns offense,
like you talked about it this morning,
this Eagles defense,
we didn't really think they were very good.
Their pass rush had been one of the worst in the NFL.
He got back an offensive lineman Watson did in this game
and just right off the bat, a drop from Amari Cooper and David Njoku came back and actually led the team in targets.
I, I'm probably not going to drop Amari Cooper, but he's not getting off my bench.
Yeah, please.
Right.
Please.
I, I, I am less like it was upsetting that this was the game that
darnell mooney was bad and every other falcons player was good but like i said he had a pass
in the end zone hit in the hands um i still i feel better about him than i do cooper
he also had a sideline route that cousins yeahins bad throw. He would walk backwards into the end zone if he caught it
cleanly. All right, Dave,
your losers are Travis E.T.
Well, the Jaguars running backs and George
Pickens, who also had an
end zone pass hit him in the hands.
Pickens ended up with three catches for 53
yards on eight targets. But yeah, you have
okay, like
just think about a week ago. We're pretty
excited about Tank bigsby right
so obviously oh my gosh yes he has a terrible game barely played because they were trailing
but can we not like if etn's out next week are we not starting bigsby against the patriots
the problem is i think we we are but i don't know if he's gonna be like anywhere higher than like
22nd in my running back rankings only two teams on by i
know there's a lot of injuries at running back that's something that's not impressive yeah
that's quick rankings that's impressive well i'm just i'm it's off the top of the dome i i think
the problem is what we saw in this game that etn was basically unavailable and if they went hurry
up or passing downs,
it was de Ernest Johnson.
Yeah.
I just don't think,
what does that mean?
That means that if they're winning or they're competitive tank figures to get
the majority of the work,
I think.
Yeah.
All right.
Well,
uh,
maybe they're competitive.
I don't want to bet on Jacksonville being winning or competitive.
Right.
Next week's the week.
Right.
They're just horrible.
So Pickens, 59% started.
Does that sound about right for what you expect for Pickens?
Yeah, I think he's going to be a question mark.
Basically, the theme with all these guys that are losers for me is I've got trust issues.
How much can I really trust George Pickens when he's making small mistakes
for now as quarterback, when he throws the few times he does throw,
he makes mistakes sometimes too.
And if it's Russell Wilson under center,
what does that mean for George Pickens?
And I'm just a little scared that he's definitely not going to hit the
ceiling, but is he like a bad wide receiver three and then the next
two games do not help him at all okay jets giants and then a buy yeah all right jamie your losers
james connor and then we actually did talk about calvin ridley at the top of the show uh he said
i think well i don't know i don't know what he said i just know what the quote underneath the
video said but he's 85% rostered.
Would you drop Calvin Ridley for Demario Douglas?
100%. Wow, yeah.
Would you drop him for DeAndre Hopkins?
No.
I don't want any part of the Titans passing him.
Yeah.
Okay.
Sorry.
He's a bust.
He's just terrible.
Let's take a break and come back and talk about the games.
We'll start with the London game, Chicago and Jacksonville,
and we'll go from there.
Unless you guys, should we do the top five at each position?
Yeah, let's do the top five at each position.
We'll do that when we come back on Fantasy Football Today.
As we established earlier in the show,
30 quarterbacks scored five or more fantasy points this week,
but also five quarterbacks scored 30 or more
and six points for passing touchdown leagues.
Caleb Williams, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love,
Jared Goff, and Brock Purdy.
Heath, thoughts on Love and Goff?
Weird year for Love so far.
Lots of touchdowns, more interceptions
than we were expecting.
I kind of doubted the touchdown rate coming into the year,
and he's just continuing to do it, so it's hard to doubt it anymore.
Start him.
He's in that Baker-Mayfield range.
Okay.
And let's do the running backs, top five running backs this week.
Who's number one?
Who do you think is number one?
Sean Tucker.
Sean Tucker.
14 carries, 136 yards and a
touchdown three catches 56 yards and a touchdown and joe mixon welcome back welcome back 13 carries
102 yards and a touch for him plus a receiving touchdown for mixon bijan was third derrick henry
four and david montgomery and deandre swift are tied for fifth. So Sean Tucker, Joe Mixon, Bijan, Derek Henry,
David Montgomery, DeAndre Swift.
Jamie, are we going to be picking up Sean Tucker?
I can't imagine you're not.
We don't know when Rashad White is back.
So it feels like they have a pretty good one-two punch here.
And you're looking at what the season has been for them.
These two guys were explosive.
Rashad White has not been explosive running the ball.
So take into account the matchup, the Saints run defense.
For the most part, it held up.
But the last three games, they started to show a few cracks,
starting with facing Saquon Barkley.
But I think just moving forward, the problem is,
are we going to get three guys?
Or are we going to get, hey, Rashad, get yourself 100% healthy,
and then we'll see what happens when you're
ready to return. But yes, you should be
picking up Sean Tucker. If you have an open roster spot,
I don't think he's the first priority to go get,
but he's certainly on the list.
Is it possible that he's
the Jawan Jennings of running backs this year?
Possible.
You know,
I want to know kind of what the game flow
was because he had 14 carries,
Sean Tucker,
14 carries.
He had six carries for 64 yards and a touchdown on their last possession of
the game.
Right.
So up until that point,
it was 14 carries for Bucky Irving and eight for Tucker,
which isn't,
you know,
which is like a normal one to split,
but it was working on passing downs.
Yeah.
But if you just look at the box score, it it was uh 14 14 and carries i i'm comfortable saying irving was their main running
back i i first of all he i don't know if he was their passing downs guy third down bucky played
seven of ten snaps yeah um bucky had the lead he played 64 of the snaps. Yeah. Um, Bucky had the lead. He played 64% of the snaps,
but it did feel like,
I can't say for sure that it was like a rotation by drive,
but it felt like Tucker was mixing in there fairly frequently with,
with Bucky,
but Bucky played more,
had more of the high value opportunities.
Who played more?
Bucky.
Bucky played more.
Okay.
64% of the snaps.
Okay.
I'm sorry. I thought maybe they both look great
you know like you said adam it was the the the saints were clearly a defeated team by the end
of the game and so you know sean tucker was doing what you know physical running backs are capable
of doing when they have that type of opportunity and are are running well what's sustainable though
all right let's go to the wide receivers.
Of anything.
We could sit here and say Bucky was building toward
maybe taking the job before Rashad White got hurt,
and now they may have the reason to just give him the job
and make Rashad White a passing downs back,
and Tucker could be just a rotation player.
It's a very, I think, fluid situation,
but you have an open roster spot.
Why wouldn't you take a chance on someone who may get some opportunities?
I wouldn't go crazy with your fab.
All right, let me speed this up here.
Let's go to wide receivers.
Chris Godwin is number one with a bullet.
35 fantasy points.
Number two is Terry McLaurin at 23.
A.J. Brown at 23.
Zay Flowers, 22.
And then, of course, Gabe Davis and Demario Douglas tied for fifth.
Dave, we've got Godwin, McLaurin, A.J. Brown, Zay Flowers, Gabe Davis, Demario Douglas.
Who stands out?
Yeah, those guys are good.
Demario will be popular because of this huge performance.
And honestly, he's the most electric receiver that the Patriots have.
So a little undersized, but he's fast.
He can move quick.
And Drake May is certainly aggressive enough to target him as much as he did.
I don't know if it's going to be nine targets every week, but it'll be plenty every week.
I wouldn't surprise me if he's the best receiver for the Patriots by a mile.
I mean, he was getting nine targets before Drake May.
So he got it last week.
Yeah.
Two games in a row.
Did it nine?
Like I didn't even didn't even dawn on me that that happened.
What was the stat line?
50-something yards.
Yeah, that's why.
That's the Drake May effect.
Improved numbers with a better...
Drake May had more passing
touchdowns in this game
than Brissett has in this season.
He has eight hours in the second half.
Zero yards, zero touchdowns.
Did you see that play?
You just have got to be kidding me.
Okay.
Tight ends.
Wait until you see what Joe Burrow just did.
Tight ends.
Cole, come on.
I'm sorry.
I know people hate that.
People hate that, but that was unbelievable.
Was that unbelievable? I mean, you have got to be kidding me how many yards a 46 yard touchdown run i thought the pollard run was was yeah right that was what a 20 yard run on third and 19
yep uh cole commit george kittle evan ingram trey mcbride brock bowers it's really commit
heath we got to talk about commit five days are back baby five can you believe they were playing George Kittle, Evan Ingram, Trey McBride, Brock Bowers. It's really Kemet, Heath.
We've got to talk about Kemet.
Tight ends are back, baby.
Can you believe they were playing Gerald Everett over him early in the year?
Yes, I can.
And now they're not.
Yeah, so is he good?
What's the deal?
He's good.
He's going into a bye.
I'm not really jazzed about picking picking him up but should i be um
yeah if he wasn't already rostered then maybe you can get by with it because he's not going to show
up in the projections for next week and so maybe maybe nobody adds him but like he i'm probably
trying to carry a second tight end if i've got him and nobody else. All right.
It just depends on who you're comparing him to.
Because prior to this, his only other good game was when the other two guys were missing.
And this was Jacksonville, who's probably going to be his easiest matchup rest of season.
So feels like a sell-high candidate to me.
The nice thing about what he did, and really I think more it speaks to Caleb Williams is we may
be looking at a or a nice thing I shouldn't say that but nice thing for for commit but we could
be looking at a 49er situation where there's going to be one or two guys every week that are left out
right and that's what's happened to commit four four of six weeks. Four games this year with 8.7 or fewer PPR points.
Okay, so I think we need to remember that 8.7 PPR points is like tied in nine this year.
Yeah, he had one game that high.
The other three were seven or more.
Yeah, he had three decent games.
Two of them were blowout games.
And then three duds.
And the question is, again, go back to the Caleb Williams conversation.
Is this Caleb developing and he's going to be a consistent threat?
Or is this one week is DJ Moore and Caleb does nothing
and Odunze does nothing and Allen does nothing.
One week it's two guys today like it was Allen and Komet.
So you're gambling.
But he's certainly in the top 12 conversation.
I don't think there's any way around that.
Yeah,
sure.
And if you want to see the best play by a tight end this weekend,
I hope you watch the Penn state USC game.
That was an unbelievable play.
Did you see that?
Was that cool?
Oh my God.
All right.
Chicago,
35 Jacksonville,
16.
We go to the games.
We've talked about this one extensively,
but I will ask you this buyer sell.
Evan Ingram is going to hurt Brian Thomas Jr.'s value.
I'll sell it.
Either that or we were a little bit over our skis
having him inside the top 20, or I was.
I think he's a borderline number two.
Man, go look at Deontay johnson and what he did against
chicago last week and then he comes back and has another good game this is a very very tough match
up but they had how how many corners they have out they had one corner and one safety out and
then i think kyler gordon gordon kyler gordon crawled off at one point i don't know if he yes he did
i think he did early no i mean he crawled off early i mean he had seven tackles total in the
game so i'm thinking that he played more okay so he crawled back in there you go all right
from the bears standpoint i mean assuming dj moore is fine i. Let me ask you about Keenan Allen, right?
Because he had two touchdowns, five targets,
caught them all, 41 yards, two touchdowns.
Dave, are you excited about Keenan Allen?
No, I'm even more skittish about Allen than I am Komet.
Okay.
Green Bay 31, Arizona 14.
This was just domination.
And Green Bay, 36 minutes and 35 seconds of possession and we talked about
connor in the running back situation is you know connor didn't play much in the second half it was
a game script thing he's fine uh but marvin harrison jr going out obviously hurt so uh i
think you know actually let me ask you about josh jacobs jamie and a bad game for him 18 carries 62
yards three catches for 28 yards.
I mean, it's not terrible.
90 total yards in the three catches.
But where are you on Josh Jacobs right now with Houston coming up?
Number two, running back.
You know, I don't think anybody's sitting him unless you just have other options.
For example, I have our IDP league where I'm playing Chuba Hubbard over him, for example.
And I drafted Jameer Gibbs and maybe
Brees Hall, running back, running back in some form. So you got to have a pretty loaded roster
to be sitting Josh Jacobs. I think the thing that it was, it was interesting. He was asked this week
about not catching a touchdown and seemed like they tried to do it. There was one attempt in
the red zone where they seemed to look like an awkward throw,
awkward play design that was sniffed out pretty quickly.
But in any event, anytime you're getting this many touches in that offense,
as long as he's healthy, it's hard to get away from.
Do you think Jaden Reed, was today a warning sign?
Oh, he did catch a touchdown.
It's like it's unbelievable. I't know he's producing I'm guessing
fantasy points per target he's got to be
among the leaders and I just
want to know if you think that this is the time to try
to sell him
I think it's directly tied
to what I said about Jordan Love
like if you
look at the rate at which
Love is producing points based on his past attempts
and yards that doesn't really make a lot of sense either and that's directly tied to what jayden
reed is doing on a per touch basis yeah so i i'm a little bit skeptical but at the same time, they just keep doing it. Yeah.
All right.
Philadelphia 20,
Cleveland 16.
Okay.
We'll get Nick Chubb next week.
We'll talk about that
throughout the week,
of course.
And real quick on Cleveland Heath,
David Njoku,
five catches,
31 yards on seven targets.
Do you consider him
a must roster tight end?
He's 73% rostered.
Um,
I,
I don't know if I'd go so far as must roster.
No.
Um,
but I also think there might be a situation where he's the guy who's in my
starting lineup and I'm just,
I'm not going to go add Hunter Henry or whoever this week's flavor is to start
over him.
He's,
he's going to probably be ranked somewhere between 10 and 17 on a weekly basis.
And like somebody might need him because Dallas gutters got hurt early in this game.
So Devante Smith was able to be good,
but yeah,
not excited about rostering him.
Not never a must start,
but he's okay.
Does any,
is anybody at all concerned about Saquon Barkley?
Two kind of bad ish games in a row.
He gets the giants.
No way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If he,
if he sinks next week,
then ask us again.
Okay.
Jalen hurts only through 25 passes.
He scored 25.9 fantasy points.
I'm concerned about Jalen Hurts.
Yeah.
Why?
Not to bench him.
He just looked bad.
He may have just lost his left tackle.
We'll see what the severity is there.
It did not look good.
It doesn't seem as easy.
Look, he's only had Brown for two games,
and he has only had Brown, Goddard, and Smith for one game.
That's a fair point.
But it doesn't feel easy right now for the Eagles.
It kind of feels like the end of last year.
It was a struggle.
I thought they showed quite a bit of confidence in him
in the way they handled the end of that game, though.
There were a couple of different times
when they could have just tried to run it three times
and get a first down
and they chose to pass multiple times.
Yeah.
How good is A.J. Brown?
My God, that guy is awesome.
All right.
Houston 41, New England 21.
Dave, go ahead.
What are your thoughts on this game?
Yeah, what are your thoughts
on the Patriots running backs?
They're gross. Don't start them.
Hopefully, Ramondre Stevenson comes
back and maybe there's a matchup down the line
where you'll feel okay starting him.
I think this is
DeMario Douglas
and that's really about it
besides Ramondre. Obviously,
Drake May and his super flex makes sense.
Maybe as a bi-week replacement.
Certainly, the matchup against Jacksonville is one where you could buy into him.
I like that he ran a little bit.
That was good to see.
That's something that carried over from college.
The reason to be excited maybe a little bit about Tank Bigsby next week
is what Joe Mixon and Damian Pierce did.
Mixon, 13 carries, 102 yards of touchdown.
He caught a touchdown, didn't play a ton Looked great, by the way. That's awesome
to see. And then Damian Pierce had a
long touchdown run late in the game.
Patriots defense just does not look good
at all. I will say
as the guy who was way too high on Gibson
this week, if
Stephenson's still out, it's going to be hard for me to not
rank him as a starter next week. He still had, what,
17 touches in this game.
And Jacksonville's awful. It is next week. He still had, what, 17 touches in this game, and Jacksonville's awful.
It is Jacksonville.
And he's not...
He was terrible. 13 carries
for 19 yards or something, but it's not
like that's what's been happening all year long.
Does it annoy you that there was a three-way split
at running back?
Yeah, it's annoying.
Gibson, 51% of the snaps. He had all the
good snaps.
6 of 13 on third down. They only had one snap inside the 10. That's kind of the snaps. He had all the good snaps, 6 of 13 on third down.
They only had one snap inside the 10.
That's kind of a problem.
Hasty played 29% of the snaps.
Somebody named Terrell Jennings played 22% of the snaps,
but that was mostly in the fourth quarter.
You know, just speaking of what Dave just said,
when the Raiders threw a touchdown, we had no idea who caught the ball.
I told you who it was after like four
guests.
Who was it? I think it was Doug Gabriel
as one of the guesses. What did I miss?
Who was it? Christian Wilkerson.
Former Patriot, by the way.
We had no idea. And I don't
think the broadcast had any idea.
By the way, now the
Patriots have allowed 80 rushing yards
or a touchdown to nine running backs in six games.
Let's move on here and talk about, well, I guess Drake May.
I mean, does anyone think, Dave said super flex, maybe bi-week replacement.
Does anybody think differently of Drake May?
I mean, look, the Jaguars are bad, man.
I mean, I'd like to pick him up and just see because he might light jacksonville up next
week and we might be talking about him as a streamer all right colts 20 tennessee 17 got
the surprise that it was going to be joe flacco he scored 70 17.8 fantasy points which really
isn't that bad uh pitman yeah uh jamie where you at on josh downs versus michael pitman
who's the quarterback?
Richardson.
You sure?
They're both number three receivers of Richardson is starting at best.
I mean, look, this is the first time a receiver scored against the Titans.
To Dave's point earlier in the week, you know, the competition,
that exactly great.
I didn't think Flacco looked good at all today.
There were a lot of like, you of, as Pete Prescott would say,
a lot of helium balloons that he was floating all over the place.
But he comes through with a decent stat line,
I think the best stat line against the Titans all season.
I would consider them sell-high candidates if somebody's buying,
if you can still get name recognition for Pittman
and production for Josh Downs.
Who knows when this back injury flares up again for Pittman and Downs, you know, an injury track record
had a toe injury coming into the week. He he's looked very good, you know, but is he going to
look the same with Richardson? I mean, you know, Richard, this will be a good target for Richardson
because he's, they only play one game together and we saw what these two were last year but until richardson's accuracy is like
60 as a passer which you know may not be this year at all uh it's going to be hard to say that
these guys are safe how much of a difference is there between tony pollard who had 17 carries
93 yards and a touchdown and three catches today and bijan robinson
i would hope bijan ceiling is much higher.
Bijan's in a much better offense.
He's going to score a lot more points.
But what do you think the Titans are going to do
no matter who their quarterback is?
They're going to try and lean on the run as long as they can.
Well, how long is Tajay Spears out?
I don't know if it necessarily matters
because he had been playing at least 60% of the snaps every week anyway.
And coming into this game, he had 19 plus touches in three or four.
Now that's four or five.
I'm not, I'm not going to say that Tony Pollard is, is better than Bijan Robinson.
Okay.
The ceiling is definitely higher with Bijan, but I think Pollard's pretty good.
I just, I hate, I hate the offense season and I'm a little scared about what I just hate the offense he's in,
and I'm a little scared about what's going to happen
when he's got a tough matchup.
Like if Buffalo gets their act together,
that's where they're playing in week seven.
Well, you say that, though,
but Buffalo is the team that allows the most fantasy points to running backs.
Well, I know.
But if they get their act together,
if they look really good against the Jets
and Josh Allen's putting up points.
All right.
I,
I was saying it from a stance of trying to make that sell high on Bijan
earlier,
but you just,
you go to the Tony Pollard manager and you upgrade big at wide receiver and
you downgrade from Pollard from Bijan to Pollard.
It doesn't,
it doesn't sound like you guys necessarily want to do that,
but I would,
well,
if you're getting a significant receiver,
then yeah,
sure.
Yeah. All right. Tampa Bay, 51, New Orleans, 27. do that but uh i would well if you're getting a significant receiver then yeah sure yeah all
right tampa bay 51 new orleans 27 wild game here make mayfield with almost 34 fantasy points we've
talked about the running backs there we're thinking evans was maybe banged up he goes for two catches
34 yards on six targets kate otten scored and he had six targets. Anything, anybody interested in Bob Means?
Because it's going to be an extended absence, I guess.
Spencer Rattler is.
Yeah, eight targets, a touchdown.
I mean, yes, you should be interested in him for two reasons.
One, the Thursday night game and the Broncos may be down Sertan.
So the secondary is now shifting all over the place in Denver.
So at 12-team league, no, 10-team league, certainly.
Not a 14-team league or larger, sure.
Rashid Shahid was dangerously close to a Calvin Ridley.
Rashid Shahid had one catch for 11 yards on seven targets. If the report is accurate and Derek Carr is going to miss another two to three games,
would you be surprised if Rashid Shahid got dropped?
And if he did get dropped, that's a better question.
If someone dropped Shahid, would you rush to pick him up?
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Baltimore.
I guess it's kind of similar to maybe like what we've been dealing with.
Jalen Waddle.
Baltimore 30, Washington 23.
Pretty good game here.
It was fun.
Yeah.
And it was pretty much all Eckler.
I mean, and McNichols had two touches eckler
had 13 didn't have a great game but ravens run defense is ferocious yeah we bounce back after a
bad game bad showing against the bengals the week before are we just all in buying terry mclaurin
this guy's just gonna have a great year yeah you kind of have to at this point. Two touchdowns on seven targets today.
Yeah, McLaurin.
I made a trade a few weeks ago.
It was McLaurin and Flowers were the two wide receivers swapped in the deal.
Who would you guys rather have rest of season?
Flowers.
I think it's still Flowers.
This feels like maybe the second game this year where Zay Flowers had a monster game and Derrick Henry had a monster game.
And Zay Flowers did it in a half.
That was the most insane part of all.
Welcome back, Mark Andrews.
Yeah.
You guys think about that.
Mark Andrews' final line was three catches, 66 yards, and a touchdown on four targets.
And Lamar Jackson threw 26 passes in this game.
Do you think you can get anything for Andrews in a trade?
Like anything?
Yes.
I mean, again, similar to Cole Comet.
Or, I'm sorry, similar to Evan Ingram.
Like, if he's been replaced in your lineup,
and you're comfortable with that replacement option,
why would you not be trying to sell him based on this game?
Yeah.
I just don't know if you can get anything good i likely had two more end zone targets he
didn't catch either one of them but he had two more end zone targets so i think he's still gonna
see those you could argue that rashad bait man could be more than 10 percent rostered yeah i i
still wonder if you know the, barring the report,
which was really just a way to drum up more interest,
like if the Ravens really are in on Devontae Adams.
That'd be interesting.
All right, well, I mean,
he doesn't want to have a quarterback downgrade.
Aiden O'Connell is his guy, apparently.
Oh, stop that.
Los Angeles Chargers, 23.
Denver Broncos 16.
It came down to an onside kick, and then there was a penalty,
and it came down to another onside kick, but the Chargers won the game.
Let's see.
We've got Justin Herbert with his best game.
He threw for 237 yards.
That's a season high.
He threw pretty high on J.K. Dobbins.
He had 27 touches.
Wow.
Buy, sell, hold J.K. Dobbins. He had 27 touches. Wow.
Buy, sell, hold J.K. Dobbins.
Buy.
Okay.
He's healthy.
Maybe he'll get hurt, but if he stays healthy, I think he's probably a top 14 running back rest of season.
At Arizona, he's a top 12 running back next week.
I want to look into, is Arizona's run defenses that bad? rest of season. At Arizona, he's a top 12 running back next week.
I want to look into, is Arizona's run defenses that bad?
Josh Jacobs might tell you it isn't.
Yeah, but Josh Jacobs hasn't been
really lighting the world on fire. But Jordan Mason was
bad the week before. Yeah, I
don't know. I forget right now. I feel like they're not
such a layup. They're not.
The bottom line is, Dobbins is the
man for them. Vidal had a
minimal roll. He caught a touchdown. Two catches, 40 yards, and a touchdown.
Still a good guy to stash.
On the Denver side, what did you make of this game, Jamie,
for Javante Williams?
Only six carries, three catches,
coming off two straight games with 18 touches.
They really didn't have the ball much.
What do you make of this, Javante?
So Dave and I were talking about this when we were watching the game. My fear for Williams was when Tyler Bidey was a factor.
It feels like Sean Payton wants to use three guys in some capacity.
Not necessarily consistently, but he's going to give guys opportunities.
And Estime was active today.
And I don't know what the playing time was,
but it feels as if there's going to be three running backs touching the ball
when he has three guys that he seems to like.
So Javante, not an easy matchup, so take that into account.
Javante, I don't think, is what he was the last three weeks,
which I think was a number two running back that you wanted to start
or felt comfortable starting. the last three weeks, which I think was a number two running back that you wanted to start or
felt comfortable starting. I think we're back to borderline starter flex territory for him.
He had a fumble and I wanted to say that he lost snaps because of it, but he played almost 70%
of the snaps. I think it's a season high for Javante, including every third down snap. That's
a role that I just don't think will ever go away for him.
McLaughlin played 25% of the snaps, Estime barely played.
The Broncos had one snap inside the 10.
None of those stiffs were on it.
I don't feel good starting any Broncos running back moving forward,
except for maybe Javante in half or full PPR as a,
do I really have to start this guy?
Yes,
because I have no one else at RB two.
Just keep in mind,
they are playing the saints who just couldn't stop Sean Tucker and Bucky
Irving.
And you get the,
uh,
Sean Payton revenge game factor.
Oh,
that's since week three,
the last month.
Bo Nix is averaging 20 fantasy points per game.
Wow.
He run,
he can run.
He runs. Yeah. Yeah. And then they fall behind. Then. Wow. He can run. He runs.
Yeah, yeah.
And then they fall behind, then he throws.
And name a wide receiver you'd rather have
if there's an impossible catch in the corner of the end zone.
Cortland Sutton is incredible.
I don't know.
You guys probably didn't hear the game,
but Gene Steratore said he would have called it incomplete.
Yeah.
It looked like it was incomplete,
but the call on the field was a touchdown.
That's why we don't make a call on the field.
Please, NFL.
It's the only reason the Hurricanes were undefeated.
Every scoring play gets reviewed.
Why do you have to make a call?
Don't make a call.
Just go to the replay and make your best judgment
based on the replay.
Yeah, it's a great idea, everybody.
Just buy into it.
Just trust me on this. Okay, Pittsburgh's a great idea everybody. Just buy into it. Just trust me on this.
Pittsburgh 32, Las
Vegas 13.
We talked about fields. How about Najee
Harris, man? I was just about to
ask you, is Javante now the running
back with the most carries without a touchdown?
He must be, right? Oh, that's
a good question.
I'll let you know. Your number was 56
coming into the week. Najee
scored, and I believe when we asked this, Dave
said it was at 53 carries for Javante,
so he was just below the threshold. I think it's Rico Dowdle.
Yep.
Tied with Javante. They both have 59.
Rico's caught two touchdowns, though.
All right, but what do you think about
Najee? Does this do anything for you?
Because he was having such a bad year.
I mean, it's very encouraging.
It's a terrible, terrible, terrible defense.
What's the matter, Adam?
What's the matter?
Give me a break.
You guys.
All right, forget it.
Come on with that play.
Come on.
You can't do that.
You can't do that. You're in the league for six years, dude. Come on. Oh, geez. All right. Like, you can't do that. You can't do that.
You're in the league for six years, dude.
Give me a break, loser.
All right.
Anything else from this game?
George Pickens we talked about.
Do you think, make a case here,
Alexander Madison has been so bad running the ball the last two weeks
that Zemir White is actually under-rostered right now
at like 53%, 51%.
Zemir White's been just as bad,
and Alexander Madison can contribute in the passing game.
Okay.
But I think that Zemir White could get that lead running back role,
rushing runs role.
Dylan Lauby made his debut.
Lauby had a snap and a fumble.
Was it his debut? Did he have a snap before?
He might have had a snap.
That was the first time I'd seen it.
Atlanta 38, Carolina
20.
Cousins, yeah, I don't know. Disappointing game.
But Bijan, they had the rushing
touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns. Those
types of things happen.
Drake London's been amazing uh would you
rather have drake london or my goodness i was gonna say garrett wilson but i think we would
have to wait how much of a difference is there between cd lamb and drake london
well are we there already um there's a difference there's a big difference
what i don't know if it's a big difference.
Okay, which side would you rather have?
B.D. Lamb and Tony Pollard
or B. John Robinson and Drake Lennon?
Yeah, that's where I was going, yeah.
I'd rather have the Falcons.
I think I would too.
As much as I don't love having two guys
on the same team like that, but sure.
Look, London's coming through
on what we were talking about before the season.
I feel like we say this every week now since week two.
So lots of volume target in the red zone.
Good player.
Just not explosive.
As long as he keeps getting fed.
I think the thing with cousins had,
and it goes back to heat,
you know,
calling Mooney and a loser this week.
If Mooney catches that touchdown,
we feel a lot better about Cousins.
That was right
before, I believe, Algiers' second touchdown or first
touchdown. Algiers only had the one.
It was right before his first touchdown.
They tried.
Chuba Hubbard
is just playing really
well. 18 carries, 92 yards, 5
catches, 11 yards. Who's going to be
the best?
From the second that Jonathan Brooks
plays his first game, who's the best
Panthers running back?
I'll say Brooks. I'll say Brooks, too.
I'll say Hubbard.
Okay. And
Deontay Johnson bounces back.
I'd be very surprised if they're going to play Brooks
to not play Brooks.
I think they view brooks as
a long-term type of investment prospect what have you and they don't need to overload them with work
when they've got chuba running well they don't have to overload him with work to be better than
chuba i don't know how's he going to be more efficient than what chuba's been chuba with
andy dalton chuba's been amazing he Andy Dalton, Chuba's been amazing.
He really has.
It's remarkable.
He's one of the best picks you could have made on draft day.
But as a talent, though, Brooks is better.
That's true.
As a healthy talent, we don't know what he's going to be.
Sure.
I mean, if he's right, then I'll take him if that's the choice.
So, like, first game back, how many touches for Jonathan Brooks?
Ten.
Yeah, I'm thinking less, but maybe ten.
I will say, like, if that was their plan.
Maybe a little bit more after that.
Just a little bit of dynasty talk.
Don't be the Panthers.
Don't draft the running back with the idea that you'll play him a year from now.
That's an awful, awful team management.
All right, Detroit 47, Dallas 9.
I mean, Dak Prescott, wow, wow.
What's the worry-o-meter on Dak Prescott?
It's got to be like a six minimum.
And this is another team, Dave, where I said it about the Eagles,
where it just doesn't feel like anything's easy for the Eagles,
or it's not easy enough.
It feels like everything is pulling teeth for the Cowboys offense.
It just doesn't feel smooth for them, to me anyway.
They should offer a fourth for one of the Tampa Bay running backs,
not named Rashad White.
I don't know.
Obviously, they had to get away from the run today and their their offensive line was did not play well you know and when when a team can pin their ear back and pin their ears
back and get after you i know it's tough but they have a lot of pressure on dac but i just feel like
there's like you look at the ravens game was that his huge game and it was a huge comeback effort
it just has not been easy so this was about the time of year where they snapped out of it and became
the best quarterback receiver duo in the league.
What,
you know,
what are you guys thinking about lamb and Dak?
It's almost exactly that time of year because it was after the bi-week when
they were basically saying,
all right,
we're going to target CD lamb 12 times a game and chips fall where they may.
And he had 14 targets today and he still had 15.9 PPR,
maybe a couple more because he had to carry.
I think part of the problem is that Dallas's defense is trash right now.
They can't rush the quarterback.
Trevon Diggs did not have a good game whatsoever.
No,
he had linebackers.
They had a bunch of backups at linebacker.
So I'm,
I wonder if just that, that game script kind of forced Dak into a situation where
the whole world knew he was throwing and the whole world knows, okay,
CeeDee Lamb is going to be the one who's going to get targeted a lot.
And no one else could really make big plays for him. I'm nervous. I've got Dak on a couple of
teams. I'm, I'm a little nervous. So I was going to ask you, Drake London,
I couldn't figure out who to ask you,
but how about, and look,
the answer for me would be St. Brown,
but how about Drake London versus Amon Ross St. Brown?
Because London's got 12 more targets than him.
Right.
It's true, but I still think St. Brown will have
plenty of games where he's got double digit targets.
This wasn't one of them.
You kind of got lucky because you got a late touchdown as the Lions were
pouring it on from Amon Ra.
Four targets is not the norm from him.
Yeah.
And Jamison Williams.
I think, Dave, as I was going to say,
I think that Trayvon Diggs was shadowing Jamison Williams.
I was trying to watch.
I saw him on him a lot, and it did not go well.
It did not go well.
Trayvon Diggs was not good. Yeah. So that's a guy coming off a torn, and it did not go well. It did not go well. Trayvon Dix was not good.
Yeah, so that's a guy coming off a torn ACL.
It's not so easy.
No, it's not.
Jamison is just a guy that I usually start in our podcast league
and just kind of live with the ups and downs of it.
It is what it is.
All right, that's it for today's show.
