All right, week six, just an hour or so away.
Let's get started here on Fantasy Football Today in five.
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the show. Let's get your lineup set.
And let's start with Saquon Barkley. The hardest decision for sure. There's optimism that he's
going to play tonight, but it is a Sunday night game and he's banged up and we don't know for
sure. Heath, what do we do with Saquon Barkley? I would like to see, and I did this in one league this morning,
I'd like to pick up a Dawson Knox or a somebody
that's playing on Sunday or Monday night
just so I have a backup plan.
Other than that, my approach is going to be
if I don't have two running backs that I like,
I'm going to start Barkley.
I've got him at RB22 in my full PPR rankings.
That's behind some guys like Ramondre Stevenson and Zach Moss and Alexander Madison than he
wouldn't normally be, but that is ahead of Chuba Hubbard and Rashad White and Deontay Foreman.
You're still Zach Moss over Jonathan Taylor this week.
I am still Zach Moss over Jonathan Taylor. I do
not feel good about it. And the floor is going to fall out on Zach Moss at some point, but I'm
starting on this week. Okay. T Higgins is expected to play today against Seattle starter set.
I'd view him as a number three wide receiver. Like I said, with Saquon, if I don't have two
wide receivers, I like I'll start or two running backs. I like I'll start him. If I don't have
three wide receivers, I like I'll start T Higgins.
But he's a he's a mid to low in number three.
Well, those are kind of the headliners.
But then we got the replacement running backs.
We've got Rashawn Johnson and Khalil Herbert are out.
Miles Sanders is out.
Keontae Ingram is playing today for the Cardinals,
or he's off the injury report, at least.
So how do you rank Deontay Foreman against Minnesota, Chuba Hubbard at Miami, and Mario
DiMarcato and Keontae Ingram for that matter against the Rams?
Yeah, I've got Chuba just barely ahead of Deontay Foreman as a borderline number two
running back.
I have Keontae just barely ahead of Amari De Mercado as a mid-range flex. I'd like
to have both guys rostered, but I would expect this is going to be a hot hand approach situation
in Arizona. And one of these guys might win a starting role for the next four to six weeks
today. I have no confidence which one it will be.
Yeah, I just want to check the roster percentage for Keontae Ingram.
It is 29% rostered.
So that's a player that you should go out and stash.
And if you're listening to this really early in the morning, you could do the same with Keaton Mitchell for the Baltimore Ravens.
They're about to get started at 930, but you might have some time.
Let's see.
Jeff Wilson's not going to play.
Is there any other Dolphins running back that you're interested in this week or stashing?
I am stashing Chris Brooks, Christopher Brooks on some sites, Chris on others.
I think Suman Ahmed would be the better start this week if you had to, but I'm not that interested.
Okay.
Joe Burrow feels pretty close to 100%.
Did you move him up at all throughout the week,
Joe Burrow, against the Seahawks?
Not throughout the week, no.
He is still a low-end starting quarterback.
I think 99% chance if you have him, you're starting him.
All right, Sam Laporta, Heath.
You ready to start Sam Laporta?
Yeah.
I mean, I'm a little bit nervous about it,
but he's a tight end.
Okay.
How about the Jets-Eagles game? We've got Darius Slay and Jalen Carter out but he's a tight end. Okay. Uh, how about the jets Eagles game?
We've got Darius slay and Jalen Carter out Carter, a defensive tackle and slay starting
cornerback for the Eagles. And we have both jets starting corners out for the jets, not for the
Eagles. Uh, how does that change anything for you? Yeah, I feel more comfortable, um, with all,
basically all the offensive players involved.
I think you're starting Brees Hall.
You're starting A.J. Brown.
You're starting Dallas Goddard.
You're probably starting Devontae Smith as well, although I didn't have him.
I had to move him way up from where he projects because of how bad things have been lately.
But he's a low-end number two, just barely ahead of Garrett Wilson, who's in the same range.
Okay, I just want to read.
I don't know if you have other information, but Sam Laporta is not certainty to play,
right?
I just want to go back to that.
It says on our site,
it says that he's trending in the right direction.
He like kind of planning on playing,
but the lions are going to put the rookie tight end through a pregame
workout to see how a strained calf responds.
Yes.
Right.
Okay.
All right. If he plays, you play him. If he doesn't, you don't. Okay. Fair enough. And then two other news items, not for this week, but Anthony Richardson could be out for the season. There's a possibility for that. And Justin Jefferson, there's a possibility for that too, because it's a four to six week injury, they believe. But if they're out of contention by the time he's ready to come off,
he did not sign a new contract.
There is a chance he might shut it down.
That was according to a report.
So just beware.
I'm trying to trade Justin Jefferson in the one league that I still have him in before kickoff today.
Let's see if we have a few minutes.
What league is that?
Podcast League.
I don't have enough good players.
I guess maybe you're getting desperate.
I may not need a bunch of good players. Are we playing have enough good players. I guess, I guess maybe you're getting desperate. I don't, I may not need a
bunch of good
players.
Are we playing
this week?
No,
I'm just saying I
might want to make
a trade for him.
Yeah,
you might.
I tried to get
Aaron Jones.
That was rejected.
CJ Stroud,
Gino Smith,
or Dak Prescott
this week?
I,
ooh,
none of those
guys are top 12
quarterbacks for me.
I would go with
Dak.
Deontay Foreman, Michael Thomas, or Di Mercato?
Full PPR.
Full PPR, I'd go Thomas.
Kirk or Stafford?
Kirk for me.
Marquise Brown or Devante Smith?
That's a really tough one.
I'm going to go with Marquise Brown.
Drake London, Madison, Ramondre, sit one.
I'll sit London.
McLaurin, Palmer, London, half PPR, pick one.
Palmer.
And we are out of here for Fantasy Football Today in five.
Thanks to Heath.
