This is fantasy football today from CBS sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Welcome to this show.
We are getting into week six on Thursday, October 15th with the Seahawks and the Broncos playing tonight to kick things off.
Today we've got seven mostly AFC home games.
We've got Houston at Jacksonville.
Really interesting game from a fantasy perspective.
Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay.
The Bucks have been pretty tough against quarterbacks
against wide receivers.
It's just going to be a tough game for Aaron Rogers.
Baltimore at Cleveland.
The Jets are at the Patriots.
We've got these running backs.
We're excited to play.
And also we've got Garrett Wilson versus Christian Gonzalez.
Tennessee's at Indianapolis.
Buffalo at Las Vegas.
Good news for Aschen Genties.
Seems to be getting healthier.
And the bills allow the second most fantasy.
points to running backs. Chargers are at the Chiefs. And Heath, you know, I can remember
Nick Costas, former colleague of ours singing Andy Reid, off the by, Andy Reid, off the
buy. They've actually lost two of their last three games off the by. That might be the game
I'd have my worst enemy watch, the Chief Chargers. You know, it's going to be a great game.
It's probably going to be a very close game.
I traded this game for a season of laughter.
So the chiefs are going to lose to the Chargers.
Chargers are going to get their first win.
And then they won't win another game until they play the Chiefs again.
Actually, it does seem like a lot of these weeks off the buy recently for the Chiefs have been very competitive games.
So it probably will be close.
Jamie, what's the best game?
Your favorite game on the slate?
Favorite game on the slate?
Jacksonville, Houston's very intriguing just because I, I think.
I want to see Houston turn a corner, you know, so I'm excited to see Marvin Harrison and what that looks like.
So that might be my favorite game.
Yeah, that's kind of where I was going, too.
This is not, we don't have Bill's Rams.
We don't have anything like that this week, I think, but that's...
Oh, I mean, Sunday night.
Yeah, yeah, that'll be a shoot.
Yeah, Dallas at Green Bay will be a shootout.
That'll be a lot of fun.
But, yes, Houston, I think we all are hoping they are better than a one-and-four team,
and they're getting Marvin Harrison back this week, and Tank Dell is practicing in full as well.
Stat of the week for you from our John Breach on Twitter.
John says we're getting it.
Wait, before you say, is it a kicker-related stat?
No.
Wow, upset.
We're getting an NFL rarity this week.
A team coming off an international game has to play a team coming off a buy.
That would be the Eagles hosting the Panthers.
This has only happened four times, and the team coming off the international game is 0 and 4.
That helps explain something to me.
I think Breach is responsible for some line movement because I went through this morning just to update the projections based on the line movement.
I think the Eagles opened as a one and a half or two-point favorite.
The Panthers are currently a one-point favorite.
So it may have also been because Delante Smith and Saquan Barkley weren't at practice yesterday.
Could have had something to do with it.
But let's give credit to Breach.
Okay, there you go.
All right, players we love.
Let's get into the players we love brought to you by Stitch Fix.

Jamie's got Jordan Love, Ramandre Stevenson, and Jalen Coker as players he loves.
Yeah, love is our start of the week.
Another guy that we're all excited about.
Dave's the lowest one on him at 8, but top 10 guy and coming off his best game of the season,
taking on a Dallas defense that has allowed every quarterback group.
that they've faced except for Jalen Daniels to score 24 or more fantasy points.
I say group because the commander is combined for it with Jaden Daniels in the first half
and Marcus Marriota in the second half when Daniels got hurt.
Love, you've heard me say this stat a billion times by now already.
We're down up to 30.
So 30 times in his career where he's been 30 or more past attempts,
19 of those games, he scored at least 20 fantasy points.
So I think the floor is there because he's probably going to throw in this matchup.
I know maybe Joey Porter Jr. changes some things for the secondary for Dallas.
I'm not really concerned.
He's throwing the ball a lot.
While they may have some success running the ball,
I don't think that's the strength of his team by any standard at this point.
So Jordan Love has immense upside.
Love, all right, Jordan Love,
you guys both have him in the top four.
And as Jamie mentioned, Dave has him eighth.
From Andre Stevenson,
now we got this news that Trayvion Henderson was actually limited in practice,
Jamie.
So what's your read on the Patriots backfield right now?
I mean, obviously that will lower some of the numbers or projections for Stevenson,
but still will be a must-reveeastern.
star guy.
He had one game already this season without Henderson.
It was a brutal matchup against Seattle.
He had 23 total touches, five catches, 18 carries.
So I'm guessing that's the neighborhood of workload we're looking at.
You know, certainly I would say 18 plus touches for him in this game.
His last two games against the Jets, he combined for 50 PPR points.
So this is a match that he obviously likes.
And the Jets run defense, we know, has been very up and down so far the season.
So they've given up two games.
I think it was Jemir Gibbs and Monongai combined for 69 PPR points
and a back-to-back stretch against them.
So Stevenson should have an opportunity here to perform at a high level.
And then in the case of Jalen Coker, I was happy to have him back.
Hopefully he stays healthy, coming back from the quad injury.
First two games we know are awesome.
Nine targets, eight catches in both of those games.
Or was eight targets and seven catches?
No, it's nine.
You had it, yeah.
A lot of work for him.
And I think we'll see him.
Heath alluded to this on the cell high for Tedderall-McMillan.
The last five games of last year, first two games of this year,
Jaylon-Coccur outplayed Tetrault and McMillan.
I don't think that will be the case consistently moving forward,
but this is just a great opportunity against a secondary,
which is somewhat underperformed.
So not the easiest of matchups, but still the guy you should be excited to start.
Yeah, I got an interesting question in the inbox today.
Jalen Coker or Emmanuel Wilson in PPR.
Who would you go with?
Coker.
Coker.
Hey, that's what I said.
All right.
Blame Jamie and Heath if we get it wrong.
Heath, the players you love this week are.
Do you have them?
I have them.
Yeah, Braylon Allen, which again, not a great matchup against the Patriots,
but the state of the running back position is such that if you are getting as many touches
as Braylon Allen is getting, we're going to love you.
And so you can start him with confidence as a high-end RB2 this week.
And last week we finally saw someone besides Braylon Allen touched the football in the backfield.
It wasn't enough to matter.
He's the clear, dominant workhorse back in this back field.
Start Braylin Allen.
My second one was not a person yet because we don't know who it is, but whoever starts at running back for the Eagles, the Carolina Panthers.
I don't know if there's ever been a bigger swing between two matchups than facing the Jacksonville run defense to facing the Carolina run defense.
They are the best team against running backs in terms of yards per carry.
The Panthers have been the worst team.
I believe it's 5.39 yards per carry.
If it's Saquan Barkley, he's a top 12 running back.
If it's Damian Pierce, he's a top 20 running back.
He'll be somebody in there sharing touches with him.
But Pierce should get the lion's share of the work.
And then Pat Fryermouth with Michael Pittman out, with Roman Wilson out.
Firemooth lining up outside a lot more, playing a little bit of wide receiver.
Aaron Rogers throwing 38 past.
passes per game.
I think, yeah, eight of them will go to DK, six or seven of them will probably go to Jeremy
Bernard.
And I kind of like him as a number three wide receiver, but it's also going to be a big
day for Pat Frymer who's start him.
Yeah, and Tampa Bay, their defense hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be just based
on like preseason projections, but they've struggled against tight ends.
They've been good against receivers, struggled against tight ends.
Don't tell that to Jake Ferguson.
All right.
So for Jamie, it was Jordan Love for Andre Stevenson and Jalen Koker for Heath,
Braylon Allen, the Eagle starting running back, and Pat Friarmouth.

football. And now let's get all negative here and talk about the players we want to avoid. He's got
Roma Dunzee at Atlanta on the avoid list. This one hurts my heart a little bit. Marshaun Lloyd
against Dallas on Sunday night and Jacori Kroski Merritt at San Francisco on Monday night. Odunze
and then those two running backs. Yeah, Adunze has one game with more than 52 receiving yards
this season. In the two games that Kayla Williams played, he had a combined seven targets. It was his
two lowest targeted games. I think there's some hope that Caleb Williams, because of the hamstring
injury, might play in the pocket a little bit more and on time a little bit more. I'm not sure
that's the best thing for Roma Dunzee. That tells me more short area targets to Luther Burden,
Colston Loveland, and Kleefe Raymond. I think Odunze is kind of guy that could benefit if
Williams is running around a little bit and then throwing it deep. Hopefully he does that at least
once. No, Dunez scores his first touchdown of the season, but he is a low-end wide receiver
three, more of a flex for me this week.
hopefully you don't have to start him.
And then Marshawn Lloyd and Jacori Kroski Merritt,
kind of both the same thing.
They scored touchdowns last week.
Lloyd got two of them.
But the usage really wasn't much better.
And Lloyd's still been awful as a rusher this season.
The team still can't run the ball.
Dallas, I think, is going to put up a lot of points
against this Packers defense as well,
which is going to lead to more Jordan loves throws.
It wasn't just Marshaun Lloyd handling the passing downs last week.
Pierre Strong had a big role in the passing game for this Packers' offense.
So I don't, he's a flex, and I'd probably rather flex him than Roma Dunezay,
but I don't want to start him.
And then Bill had this fantastic start to the game and then didn't play for most of the
fourth quarter and all of overtime.
It was all Rashad White at the end of that game.
And I think that's what happens when the commanders get into kind of a,
we got to play fast or chase the score or throw the ball a lot.
And guess what?
They're eight and a half point, maybe seven and a half now, point underdogs against maybe the best team in football, the San Francisco of 49ers.
I don't think he's going to have a good rushing average against this defense.
And I think probably in the second half, it's not going to be him on the field.
Only thing I would say about Marshaun Lloyd is that the role did change in the sense that they didn't use Caleb Johnson at all until the fourth quarter of a blowout.
Caleb Johnson didn't play a single snap in the first three quarters.
So that is the only the only bounce that he got.
You're right about the passing downs, but he was the only ball carrier, basically, for them.
I think what you need in the case of both these guys is fast starts.
Oh, I was going to say a touchdown.
I was going to be a touchdown.
Definitely touchdowns.
I think the two things, and he's not wrong in anything with what he said.
The thing about Crosske-Marit, two full games with Jayden Daniels, he scored in both of those.
So hopefully just the threat of a better quarterback and maybe some of the open running lanes that we see.
I think that's what happened on the first run.
You know, 33-hour touchdown run is, you know,
that's what you're going to have to need from him is the commanders to stay competitive early
and that he does his damage early in the game.
And for Lloyd, it's the same thing because if the Cowboys get ahead early,
then it could be problematic.
All right, Jamie, you are sitting Jeremiah, well,
you are trying to avoid Jeremiah Love who may not even play.
Make sure, I'll take a look at Tyler Alger and I'll get you his roster percentage in a second.
Jeremiah Love at the Rams, Jalen Waddle tonight, Trevor Lawrence.
That's a tricky one there.
Lawrence against Houston.
So Jeremiah, I love Michael Flore.
I don't know what he's doing.
You know, doesn't want to play him on passing downs because of past protection issues,
which don't necessarily mean it's him having past protection issues.
It just was a very confusing quote that he gave.
He's just been very confusing in how he's using him.
So this is a borderline starter at best when you're looking at his production here.
Jalen Waddell tonight, I mean, look, he's, I don't know what's going to have.
happened with the second game of Sean Payton calling plays.
Bownex looks off.
Waddle not getting the amount of targets that we need.
He's had two good games this season.
One game where he was hyper-targeted.
It was week two.
After disappointing week one,
I just think you're looking at him as a starter in three-receiveral leagues at best,
but you're talking about still Seattle's defense, which is amazing.
And then in the case of Trevor Lawrence,
he said, yeah, it's tricky to sit him, and I understand how he's played.
Three of five games, he's been great.
Two games he's been disappointing.
His history against Amico Ryan's not great.
His history against the Texas overall, not great.
Ten meetings against this team, two games over 20 fantasy points, only one against D'Amico Ryan since 2023.
They have done a much better job of quarterbacks, facing quarterbacks of late.
So in their last four games against, take it for what it's worth, Joe Burrow, Daniel Jones,
Dak Prescott, Cam Ward, two really good quarterbacks, two bad quarterbacks.
They're giving up an average of 13.8 fantasy points over that span.
The high is Joe Burrow at 20.8.
So it's not like there's been like a big spike game, a disappointing Cam Ward game.
and, you know, not much in between.
It's not like they're giving up big performances to quarterbacks across the board.
So this feels like it could be a low-scoring game with two good defenses.
I think Trevor Lawrence is going to struggle.
Without his left tackle, too, keep that in mind.
Oh, yeah, I'm sorry.
I forgot to mention that.
Yes, without his left tackle, Walker Little will be the left tackle taking on Will Anderson and Denial Hunter.
Good luck.
I got another tricky question in the inbox today.
Tyler Shuck or Trevor Lawrence?
For me and Chuck by a lot.
Me too.
Okay.
Hey, that's what I said.
Blame Heath and Jamie, if we are wrong.
Tyler Algier is 59% rostered.
He's obviously done nothing.
But in week one, he had 17 carries.
Jeremiah Love's got this ankle injury.
There's a chance he doesn't play.
They're trying to rest him to get him right.
And honestly, if you're a Jeremiah Love manager,
I think you should be rooting for him to not play.
Like, let's sit him as long as he can.
We don't need this stupid split where they're both useless.
We need a healthy Jeremiah Love.
He's obviously struggling with his ankle injury.
And the floor said, we got to give him time to rest.
That's what he needs.
So, like, get him healthy.
get him back to that week three usage where he played two-thirds of the snaps,
where he played in the goal line where he was the guy were a far cry from that.
All right, players to avoid.
The other part of this is the Rams last week, first time they've given up a touchdown
to a running back, which was James Cook's going twice.
Yeah.
Yeah, sure, obviously.
It's tough.
I'm going to name five players here on your avoid list.
Who's the best one?
Roma Dunes-A, Marshaun, Marcia, Kroski, Merritt, Jeremiah Love, Jailen Waddle.
Who's the best in terms of who would I rather start?
Yeah.
it would be like
probably going to be waddle for me
okay
hey we got a note about Sunday

Okay, news and notes.
Michael Pennix, Jr., Caleb Williams,
they're expected to play this week against each other.
And Lamar Jackson missed practice, but he still could play.
Travion Henderson got in a limited session.
He's supposed to miss some time.
And he still might, but he was able to practice.
Dylan Samson and Quinchon Judkins' mispractice.
Rahim Sanders is on IR.
Take a look at Jaliel McLaughlin.
As of yesterday, he was 19% rostered.
I'll take a look at the updated, see, updated right now.
Jalil Mugloffin, 30% rostered.
So people are picking them up, playing the Ravens.
They have a good run defense, but he could get all the touches.
If Jaliel McLaughlin is the guy, would you start him or Marshawn Lloyd?
Lloyd.
I'd probably start my...
I think they did.
If you're in like the deepest of leagues is
Audraguestimate too, because that's going to be
who he shares with.
All right. I've got Lloyd just ahead of him.
Sorry, Lloyd.
Okay, my bad. Seguan Barclay mispractice.
Just mentioned the Jeremiah Lump thing.
Kyle Menangai mispractice and DeAndre Swift was able to practice,
which is good news.
In full.
What's in full, yes.
Sean Tucker mispractice.
He may not play this week and we know he could be a thorn in the side of
Bucky Irving.
Alvin Camara was limited.
Ashton Genti, I tease this.
He's practicing, he practiced in full.
They say the ankle's getting healthier for Ashton Genti.
That's great news.
Now, the bill's run defense hasn't been that bad.
They do, however, give up the most or the second most receiving yards to running backs.
And Genties been great there.
Wide receiver news.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to play.
Tank Dell practice in full.
DJ Moore was listed.
They didn't have a practice.
They had a walk through.
He was listed as a did not practice, DJ Moore.
Josh Downs missed practice for him.
hamstring and rest. He's probably going to be okay.
C.D. Lamb practiced in full.
In fool. That's cool.
Jalen Coker is good to go.
Devante Smith missed practice.
Trey Tucker's questionable with a quad injury.
I'm going to keep an eye on that.
Denzel Boston was limited.
I'm assuming he'll be all right.
Rishie Rice missed practice.
Jacoby Lane practiced in full for the Ravens.
The Jets are neat.
They need a number two receiver right now because Adonai Mitchell's likely out this week.
Omar Cooper Jr. designated to return from IR.
Every Chargers wide receiver is questionable.
They were all limited.
Sorry, I meant limited.
Except for Trey Harris.
No, Trey Harris is week to week.
But Johnston and like Lambert Smith, I think, and McConkey, limited, limited, limited.
And who else was limited?
A.J. Brown was limited.
You think there's a chance A.J. Brown plays this week?
There's absolutely a chance.
It'd be great.
That would be awesome.
I'd be surprised, too.
But let's keep our fingers crossed.
Kenyon Sadiq's in the concussion protocol.
Joe Brady wants to get Dalton Kincaid more involved.
And the teams with bad offensive line situations right now
would be the Chargers.
Maybe you could say the Patriots without Will Campbell.
The Giants might not have their right tackle.
The Browns might not have their, I believe, right tackle.
The Jaguars don't have their left tackle for at least a month,
or three to five weeks, rather.
Green Bay could be getting left guard Aaron Banks back this week.
The defensive injuries you need to know about,
the tonight the Broncos are pretty beat up on defense.
Dre Greenlaw line.
So you think we should start JSN?
I think so.
Should we sit the Broncos DST?
I'm not going to carry two defenses.
I think just the thing to keep in mind is
Donald's played a couple bad defenses recently
or not San Francisco, but the week before.
Turnover prone.
Also, one more guy you didn't mention.
I was encouraged slash surprise.
Casey Concepcion, who is in the concussion protocol,
was at a limited practice.
So that's a pretty decent sign on a Wednesday.
We'll see where he's at Thursday.
Yeah.
And like I said, I think Denzo Ball is somebody fine, but he was limited.
All right.
Chicago's a little beat up on defense.
Actually, Chicago's very beat up on defense with this game against the Falcons.
I think they're okay in the secondary, but the front sevens banged up.
Chargers have a couple of defense.
And Montespa's suspended.
Yeah, right, exactly.
And Christian Gonzalez is going to play.
Carlton Davis did not practice.
The other starting cornerback for the Patriots did not practice.
Okay.
We're taking a break.
One question for each game, and I'm going to catch my breath after this.

What did you say about Trey Tucker?
That he was questionable or that he missed practice.
He's not on an injury report.
I'm not sure what you saw.
Jalen Naylor, maybe?
Was it Jalen Naylor, quad injury?
Jailen Nailer is a concussion protocol.
Okay.
I don't know what I saw.
All right, well, that's good.
Sorry about that.
No, you're fine.
I just caught me off guard because I have to start him in the guillotine league.
Hey, Tucker quad injury.
I'm going to Google it.
Like, if you're going to have to hope.
You know what?
It's probably Sean Tucker that has the quad.
Yeah.
You got the Tucker's confused.
I am very sorry about that.
He did say Sean Tucker's injury.
I did, yeah.
You're going to have to throw a dart at one week that Tray Tucker is going to catch a long pass for a touchdown.
This isn't a bad week to do it.
Yeah.
It's true.
Facing Buffalo.
They give up a lot of big plays.
All right. I do have a very quick. It'll be a very quick food review that Heath recommended something.
And it was one of the weirdest things I've ever had in my life. And I'm going to, I'm going to tell you after one question for each game. Houston at Jacksonville. Heath, how much do we trust the Jaguar's offense?
Parker, Washington's a must start. Basial Tutin is probably a must start. He's a number two running back. I'd like to get away.
Brenton Strange is a borderline tight end one. I don't know if trust is the right word, but with four teams on a buy, you're probably,
starting most of them.
Okay.
Yeah, their offense has been better at home.
Great at home so far.
And I mean like truly home, Jacksonville, not London.
This is home.
Yeah.
Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay.
Is this a tough matchup for the Steelers, Jamie?
On paper, yes.
And anytime Todd Bowles has got his blitz working,
it's tough for opposing quarterbacks and offenses.
but I think you have one definite must start in Jalen Warren,
two potential starting wide receivers,
one potential starting tight end,
and one potential starting quarterback.
So not slam dunks,
but four teams on a buy,
a lot of injuries.
I think based on how those other players positions are playing,
you can turn to them and rely on them in this game.
Yeah, I mean,
the Buccaneers is kind of crazy.
They've held Joe Burrow, Jordan Love,
and Dak Prescott to 17.1 or fewer fantasy points
in six point per passing touchdown leagues.
And I am tormented by this Aaron Rogers
versus Kirk Cousins thing.
I changed my mind every five seconds.
Cousins.
I've gone with Cousins, too.
I'm just going to stick with Rogers.
But now that Trey Tucker is healthy again.
Cousins, I'll tell you why.
There's something about Cousins.
It's the pressure rate.
The last two weeks,
he's been one of the most pressured quarterbacks in football.
And he's kind of struggled.
Now, two weeks ago we had a good game,
but he threw 52 times or something like that.
54 times.
But I don't want to talk you out of Kirk Cousins because he could be awesome this week.
I mean, really the only concern with Cousins is if they get behind early, do we see Mendoza?
That's the other thing, yeah.
Baltimore at Cleveland.
Starters said Harold Finn and Jr. Heath coming off a terrible game.
If you can find Pat Friermouth on the waiver wire, I would sit him.
If you can find Brinton Strange on the waiver wire, I would sit him.
He's not a top 12 tight end for us.
He might score a touchdown.
That's pretty much the hope.
The Ravens see the second few as tight-end targets per game in the NFL.
They do very well on short pass attempts.
The Jets at New England,
are we worried, Jamie, about Garrett Wilson versus Christian Gonzalez?
I do have him ranked too high, so I will drop him a little bit.
This was, I think, initially when I ranked him there,
and I didn't change it with Gonzalez coming off to miss games.
You're not setting him, though.
It's four teams on a buy.
The receiver is the position impacted the most.
by injury and by weeks.
When you think about the Bengals guys,
the Lions guys,
Justin Jefferson,
he's favorite player of all time.
Malik Washington,
you don't have these guys available.
Wilson's still going to get targeted.
He's been awesome.
So just don't expect him to win you your week.
He'll still be good enough to start.
Jalen Coker or Garrett Wilson?
Still was.
Wilson.
Tennessee.
This is like Wilson.
I have Christian Watson behind him.
Like I'd rather start Watson over Wilson
just giving the matchup, for example.
And I've got some history with Wilson and Gonzalez
us that I'll share with you when we talk about that game.
Tennessee at Indianapolis, Heath, this is the question that's been on everyone's mind.
Colts and Titans here rank the wide receivers in this game.
Carnal Tate, Josh Downs, Wondale, Robinson, Keenan Allen.
Okay.
Carnal Tate is where for you?
20-ish.
Okay, that's where he is in the consensus rankings.
Everyone else is a number three receiver, Downs, Wondale, Keenan, Allen.
Let's see.
Buffalo at Las Vegas.
Jamie, you think we can get a big Ashton Genti game?
It'd be nice.
It's tough to trust that he's playing at 100%.
You know, you said he practiced in full.
There was a little bit of a hubbub in Las Vegas, I guess,
when Dan Graziano of ESPN in the notes column that he does with Jeremy Fowler
suggested, I think the report was,
internally the Raiders discussed sitting gente to get him 100%.
it right because he's got the ankle injury and then the other foot injury on both different
legs.
Kubiak said he's playing and then he practices in full.
So yet to score a rushing touchdown, the majority of his fantasy production, the positive
stuff has come from the passing game.
Like you said, the bill struggle with past catching running backs.
So hopefully that's what you get your numbers from.
Again, four teams on a buy.
If you have Ashton Genti, you're thrilled that you have him.
I just don't think that he is a top 12 guy this week.
I think he's just a good number to write back.
I think I might have just changed my mind again.
I think it might go with cousins over there.
Look, it's the tight end and quarterbacks that we talked about on waivers.
There's three guys each from each position that you could have pros and cons for
and beat yourself up over who are you going to start.
It's cousins, Rogers, Winston, and it's Strange, Friamuth, and Higbee.
They're all going to be potentially great or they're all going to suck.
I don't think there's any in between with those guys with how they perform.
yeah Rogers kind of reverted to old Rogers last week with all these super short pass attempts not mean he'll do it this week but he got kind of lucky with that Jalen Warren play Chargers are at the Chiefs how do we feel about the Chiefs passing game this week Heath that will depend on whether Rushie Rice plays if Rice plays he's a low-end wide receiver two Mahomes is a low-end QB1 Kelsey is a low-end tight-end one if rice is out then Xavier Worthy is a little more
more exciting as a wide receiver three.
Good, not great.
Yeah. Mahomes is tough, I feel like, to me this week.
I don't know how you guys feel about him.
I mean, he's top 12.
I don't think you're going to start a WaverWire guy over him.
No, I wouldn't do that.
But he's played so well this year.
You know, throwing the deep ball great,
but who's he going to throw the deep ball to?
I think the Thornton loss is kind of an, you know,
underrated thing just for his fantasy value.
He's not really running since week one.
he's five rush attempts in the last three games combined.
I don't know.
What do you have around 12th, Mahomes?
I think he's 10th.
Who did he get hurt against last year?
Oh, it's the Chargers, yeah.
Oh, yeah, he's had this game circled for a while.
Oh, you like him a lot.
You have him seventh.
Dave has him fourth.
This is with Rice playing.
If Rice is not playing, I will drop him closer where he has him.
Yeah, I mean, he was great last year without Rice.
I mean, Rice hasn't really done that much this year.
You think it's a big deal?
I mean, it's not ideal, but like you said, he hasn't done much with Rice.
He had a great game against the Raiders with Taekwon Thornton.
So can Cyrus Allen do that?
Can Justin Watson do that?
Can obviously Xavier Worthy do that?
That game against the Raiders, Travis Kelsey did nothing.
He wasn't really that great.
He scored like 20 points or something.
He scored 21 fantasy points.
He actually kind of struggled, 15 of 30.
Yeah, I'm not expecting 28 points from Mahomes.
I think he's a good enough start.
And again, Kelsey did nothing in that game.
So no Doran James, most likely again.
He's got the hamstring injury.
So that helps Kelsey's scenario.
Yeah, that's true.
All right, real quick, food.
I think Xavier Worthy is somebody that, you know,
what was the trade you offered me last week?
I can't remember.
Was Shakir?
Yeah, it was Shakir for.
Yeah, let's make that trade now.
I don't even know who has.
Was that the podcast league?
No, that was a Super Flex League.
Xavier Worthy.
I dropped him.
I had to drop him for Kendrick.
Oh, my God.
I could one billion percent use him
the Super Flex League.
I have Jefferson,
my three receivers from last week,
Justin Jefferson.
You picked him up.
I did?
Yeah.
Oh, let's go.
Way to go.
That's fantastic.
So you tried to trade him,
Xavier Worthy.
He declined the trade.
No, no, no.
He pulled the trade.
He rescinded it.
I had to drop worthy,
like,
it was right before kickoff.
I had to drop.
You did it for Country Born.
Yeah, it worked out.
All right.
A food review real quick.
My son was starving the other night,
went to a gas station,
was trying to get him like a kind bar or something.
Very small gas station.
They didn't have anything like that.
So I had to go to the Doritos aisle.
I said, oh, Heath loves late-night Doritos.
Let's give them a try.
This is one of the weirdest things I've ever tasted in my life.
Like the first time it touches your tongue, I think it's disgusting.
It tastes like...
Noritos?
Late-night Doritos, specifically the late-night flavor.
It tastes like a taco, and it's just like not what I wanted.
And then you take a bite?
and it gets so much better.
And you start, like, feeling it.
It's like, oh, this is actually not bad.
But it's one of the weirdest things I've ever had.
I encourage everyone to try late-night Toritos.
Give me a review.
Jam, I'd love to get your review of late-night Doritos for the mailbag.
I will eat them.
I have a great story for the mailback, by the way.
I'll just give you a little bit of a tease.
So I have to write starts it every Wednesday.
It takes a very long process.
If you read it, you understand why.
and Dan and Dan Schneier and Brandon Howard edited it for me.
And they're obviously waiting around, waiting around.
So it comes out in segments.
And so I had to do the last part of it, which is the lead of the story,
start of the week, tight ends, kicker defense.
And I had to go drop off my son at an event.
It came back.
There was an alligator being dragged across street.
I'll tell you the rest tomorrow.
That's fantastic.
Also, if you want the full late-night Dorito experience,
I don't know if you eat sour cream or Greek yogurt, whichever one you prefer.
Dipping them in that is fan.
Because you eat a little sour cream on your taco.
Oh, it's fantastic.
That's a great idea.
Great idea.
By the way, they're-
Adam.
I'm curious with you because you and I are similar.
You're worse than me as a germaphobe.
And I would never do this in public, but only home.
But I, you know, make my kids lunch, I give them Doritos quite a bit,
cool-washed Doritos all the time.
The only, one of the only foods, again, at home only,
where I will actually lick my fingers after I touch it
because Doritos on your fingertips are the best.
You have to.
I mean, like, Doritos require the licking of fingers.
Absolutely.
Yes.
All right.
Houston at Jacksonville.
Stad of the game.
No running back has more than 12 carries against the Jaguars.
No running back has reached 40 Russian yards yet against the Jaguars.
Chase Brown with a big receiving game is the only running back
with more than 60 total yards against the Jaguars.
They have not faced the toughest competition.
face Cleveland, Denver, New England, Cincinnati, and Philadelphia without Sequin
Barkley.
We've kind of talked about the Jaguars and our expectations for them, but Jamie, what are our
expectations for Waverwire number one guy, Woody Marks?
So he's kind of alluded to this a couple times.
It's a bad week for running backs.
I think if you pick up Woody Marks, given his expected workload, you should be starting
him as a number two guy this week.
So the matchup sucks.
The Jaguars number three and few is fantasy points loud to posing running backs.
I'm hoping what we've seen from two games, at least so far this year, he's been involved in the passing game.
And I think that's going to matter here like we saw with Chase Brown.
He's not catching 10 passes, but can he get to four or five?
I think that's realistic.
Is he going to have a good rushing average?
Probably not.
This is a better Houston offense than we've seen in recent years.
C.J. Stroud looks like rookie C.J. Stroud again.
And now you're injecting Marvin Harrison for what that's worth into the offense, maybe tanked L.
I think that Houston will score against Jacksonville.
And that should lead to Woody Marks having some good enough production.
So don't love it.
If this was no teams on a buy and we had everybody available injury-wise,
I think Woody Marks is at best of flex.
But for this week, I think he qualifies as a top 20 guy.
He kind of gets that, I think I have where Damien Pierce, Tony Pollard,
Marson Lide, where that Bermuda Triangle sort of connects.
That's right where Woody Marks is right in front of.
I like Woody a lot more in full PPR.
I think I didn't, I don't know if Jamie said this because I was having some connection issues over the last 60 seconds.
But you mentioned that Buffalo gives up a lot of catches to running backs.
Jacksonville tied with Buffalo for the second most receptions to running backs per game.
A little misleading with the Chase Brown game, but you're right.
You wouldn't start what he marks over, um, Basil Tutin, though, because he has a tough matchup too.
I would start Basial Tutin, but that's close.
I would start just, you know, again, for what it's worth, not that these guys are playing great,
but I would start Woody Marks easily over Jeremiah Love and Omar and Hampton.
Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
If someone asked Kendry Miller or Woody Marks.
Marks.
Unless Cameras ruled out, then it's closer.
Marks or Romo Dunzee, PPR.
Marks.
Marks.
Marks or Luther Burden.
It's close.
I'd probably still go marks.
Me too.
Okay, CJ Stroud or Trevor Lawrence?
I like Stroud better.
Lawrence for me.
Where do you have those guys?
Back to back.
Stroud at 13, Lawrence, at 14.
I think 13 and 15, yeah.
Okay.
All right, so you could start Chuck over them.
Who's had more 20-point games?
I think the same.
Three for each.
That's a great question.
Yeah, it's a good call.
It's definitely three for Lawrence,
and I'm pretty sure it's three for Stroud
because he's had 20 or more in every game with Nico.
It is.
The only issue I have with, sorry, Heath,
the only issue I have with Stroud is like,
look who he's done it against with Nico Collins.
He scored 20.5 fantasy points against Buffalo.
That's really not good.
He scored 27 fantasy points against Dallas.
That's great, but Dallas is terrible.
23 fantasy points at Tennessee.
You know, he's had a really easy schedule.
Jacksonville's allowing the seventh fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Joe Burrow is the only guy to score more than 16 points against the Jaguars,
and he had 54 pass attempts and a rushing touchdown.
They haven't given up multiple touchdowns, passing touchdowns, in a game yet.
But didn't he play a couple of games without, was Nico just one or he missed two?
Two.
And now Marvin Harrison Jr. is his wide receiver two, which I think will help.
You might get tankedell this week.
Man, if, that could be a really good pass offense.
Yeah.
He's playing pretty well, man.
He's slinging it, no doubt.
All right.
So Woody Marks and Bejel Tootin, we talked about.
guys you could start over them, agree or disagree, start Remandre?
Yes.
Yep.
Even if Henderson plays.
Oh, okay.
And Bejel Tootin, I mean, sorry, Chuba Hubbard and Jalen Warren, obviously.
You could start.
And same with even if Rico plays, still J.L.
How about Emmanuel Wilson tonight or running back in this game?
I would take Emmanuel Wilson.
I mean, back-to-back games with 20 plus touches.
It's hard to overlook.
I would start Tutin.
Yeah, after all those late-night Doritos, I bet you would.
How about Bejel Tootin?
That was a good one.
Bejel Tootin or Michael Wilson at the Rams.
I'd go Wilson and PPR.
Yeah.
Carnell Tate.
I would go Tudin.
Yeah.
Okay.
Anyone want to start Marvin Harrison or just kind of wait and see?
Wait and see.
Wait and see.
There's probably available in some 10-T leagues.
with Dave, you know he's available in one.
I think just the hope
would be is that you start to see something.
There was this video posted of him running routes
and practice, like, oh, look how much better he looks.
Like, I'm, you know, he was tanking in Arizona
to get out.
Like, it's going to be a better situation.
You know, we'll see.
This isn't a matchup that you should run away from.
I think you should be encouraged by Harrison.
If you have him and you're stuck this week,
then start him in a three or serial league.
But I would like to see what it looks like.
I do kind of believe that like he just,
like he was really, really unhappy in Arizona.
I expect him to be a better route runner than he was the last couple of weeks.
I think he was just fed up with that role.
Yes, he was definitely fed up with the cardio role.
I'm curious because of the comments, like, did Jeremiah Love see this unfold and just be like,
I'm not waiting three years like, you get me out here now?
No, I hope not.
Okay, let's talk about the tight ends here real quick, guys.
What I mean you hope not?
You got a Hall of Fame quarterback because of somebody wanting not to be in a place that they
want them, didn't want to go.
No, I just like, it would make me sad for the Cardinals if the two of their last three.
They're a poorly run organization.
Well, they're trying to change that.
Yeah, you know.
How?
I don't know.
They have a new coach and I don't know.
Anyway, Breton Strange.
Dalton Shultz is the guy they're sitting.
Don't start him.
Brenton Strange or Harold Fanny Jr.?
Strange.
Strange.
Brenton Strange or Pat Fryer Muth.
Heath, you said you love Pat Friarmuth.
Moose.
It's another one I've gone back and forth on.
Matchup is definitely better for Frymouth, but not by much.
So if you want to go Faramuth, I have no problem with that.
Brenton Strange or Joanne Johnson?
Johnson.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
So you can start Brent Strange.
She's a solid start, but don't start.
Don't start Dalton Schultz.
Which DSTD you like better?
Texans.
Yeah.
So questions from the chat and we'll move on from this game.
The left tackle issue could be huge.
Woody Marks or Marshawn Lois?
Lloyd. Marks.
Yep.
Lawrence or Purdy?
Pretty. Oh, Purdy.
Yeah. Parker, Washington or Mike Evans?
Evans.
Evans.
Parker Washington or either starting Packers wide receiver.
Both Packers.
Watson, Parker, Golden, but that's all close.
Yeah, I don't think you have to really get away from Parker Washington.
Right now the Texans are giving up the second most fantasy points to wide receivers.
We expect them be better than what they've been.
but he plays in the slot.
He moves around.
He's their best offensive players.
I don't think it's close.
Trevor Lawrence or Kirk Cousins.
I would go Cousins.
Me too.
We definitely like Jordan Love over him.
Woody marks or Braylon Allen.
We like Braylin Allen.
Yep.
Woody marks are Jalen Waddle.
Marks.
Yep.
Parker Washington or Ramandre Stevenson.
Remandre, if there's no Henderson,
Parker, if there's Henderson.
Sure.
Okay.
All right.
Moving on to our next game here, and that would be Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay.
But moving on to our next commercial break.
We'll be back with six more AFC home games, although Tampa Bay is not an AFC home game.
I get it.
But they have an AFC opponent.
So that game and five AFC home games after this.
We're back.
Here we go.
Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay.
And Aaron Rogers versus Kirk Cousins, you guys appear to be on the cousin's side now.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Wonderful.
Yeah.
So Rogers, three straight amazing games in a row.
Tampa Bay, 10th best against quarterbacks and Joe Burroughs struggled.
Jordan Love struggled.
Dak Prescott struggled.
Now, did they struggle?
Did they just not put up big numbers?
That's a separate question, but they didn't put up big numbers.
So Rogers very, very low A-DOT last week.
More conservative game plan, I didn't love seeing that.
He benefited from the Warren catch and run.
He benefited from two defenders colliding with each other that left Pat Friamuth
open for his second touchdown.
All right.
Well, anyway.
It wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing.
I mean, you've got a blitzing, a defense here, and potentially a low-scoring offense.
So you might have another conservative week out of the Steelers, and you just have to hope that the touchdowns are there.
I think just Rogers is playing so well right now.
McCarthy's got a good game plan, good structure.
Really, the question, I think when you start to, you know, Rogers comparing him to cousins or Lawrence or Stroud or these guys, you know, that's where he belongs.
You know, so whether you want to make a transaction to pick up Rogers and drop wherever you have,
a great byweek replacement if you don't have burrow or golf i think that's obvious um i'm just curious
like what happens to warren if dowdell comes back to me that's the biggest question for the steelers
yeah well what do you think i assume dowdell's i assume he's going to be back i'm yeah it seems like
he's getting there and they said that jalen warren's earned more of a role but he's not going to have
as many touches as he's had so you know you're talking about a top five guy without dowdell is he still
top 10 is he still stop top 15 again you're not sitting him in any scenario unless you have be john
robinson and chuba hubbard maybe i don't know you know those those type of guys hubbard might be the
only one that you consider over him if dowdell's there so i you know i took it's just matter i'm sorry
just a matter of like how i'll finish i'm sorry no it's okay i took 10 percent basically off of warren's
workload with the expectation that dowdell's working his way back
If Dowell gets a full practice, maybe I'll take another 5 to 10% off.
But that's still 15 to 17 touches.
And he's been so incredibly efficient that I think he's probably for me going to be somewhere between 7th and 10th in the running back rankings.
You're not going to drop him below Ashton Genty, Braylon Allen.
I'm not going to drop him below Bucky Irving in this same game.
He's a top 12 running back, even if doubt will place.
And four running backs already.
have five catches against the bucks for what it's worth.
So I don't know.
I mean, it's a theory of mine.
I don't have any hard evidence, but you blitz a lot.
It makes sense to throw to the running back in that situation, right?
So get the ball out quickly and try to beat the defense like that.
This is definitely a Rogers, not that he doesn't do this all the time, but run the clock down,
try and figure out where the blitz is coming from.
It's going to be a slow game for them.
So what about the receivers?
Do you like Bernard or Metcalf this week?
Or Anabook.
I'll throw a book in there.
I don't think we're going to start Chris Godwin.
but Bernard, Metcalf, Abuka, Heath, how do you rank them?
So I think I'm not, might be the highest on Bernard and Metcalf,
but I would go Metcalf, Bernard, Ibuka.
Metcalf's a number two wide receiver.
Bernard and Abuka are number three wide receivers.
No, great.
I have Metcalf and Bernard back to back 24, 25,
and Abuka's like right around 30, 31.
You got lucky last week with the rushing touchdown.
You know, nine targets was fantastic.
That's against Dallas.
had six catches for 38 yards.
You know, so you like to see that type of involvement.
I'd love to see a few more, you know, opportunities down the field.
You are talking about the Steelers defense versus the Cowboys defense.
The pressure is going to be much different for Jalen Daniels.
So I just don't think you should have high expectations.
So one of the receivers will probably make a play.
Last week we saw it was Tess Johnson, you know, getting the broken play and getting
the big play down the field.
You know, that's kind of what Daniels is going to try to do, be my guess.
I think this is a game where the Steelers are probably playing with elite.
I don't know how big of a lead.
and then we see this, you know, Buck's offense, what it looks like.
To me, the only safe start for Tampa is Bucky.
I said on Sunday morning stream that if I'm grumpy,
it's going because I started so many guys.
Like I had so many tough lineup decisions and I started the wrong guy.
If I'm grumpy this coming Sunday night,
it's because Jeremy Bernard was like not involved or really bad
because I haven't calculated it,
but I think I may have spent like $3,000 in Fab
on Jeremy Bernard this week.
So he is, I'm heavily invested.
Please be good.
Yeah, I mean, I feel like everyone on Pittsburgh is a tough call except Warren.
I don't know how you get.
Well, I can see getting worn out of your lineup because you would you drafted him to be your number three or number four running back.
So you have difficult decisions with him.
And now Dowdell is probably coming back.
But we just don't know what to.
You're not bench.
No, I mean, you're not benching him.
But there's certainly a scenario where, I mean, you could have, I think I have.
I think he's my number three running back on a team because I just happen to get lucky in that regard.
And no flex?
No, I'm starting him.
I don't know what the scenario would be.
But basically, I don't really, like I'm starting Pat Frymer with over almost everybody.
But it's because I think they're using him more as their third wide receiver.
And now with only having really two wide receivers, that usage might even go up more.
But 60% of his snaps, he's lined up in the slaughter out wide.
he just is a wide receiver.
He finally, last week was Pat Frymer's first week with a target share over 13% I think.
And I kind of made this point that the guys on the on the Steelers have really benefited from them throwing so much.
If they don't throw so much, they could be flops, especially against the bucks who just have been pretty solid against the pass.
So, all right, we'll see what the chat has to say.
On the buck side of the ball, you know, is there.
any hesitation with Bucky Irving?
No.
No, okay.
Like how do you compare Bucky with Bejel Tooting and what he marks?
Better.
He's better.
All right.
So he's going to be started coming off that great game.
And again, if Sean Tucker, not Trey Tucker, if Sean Tucker misses the game, that takes
away an obstacle.
Abuca, yeah, Bucca is where, let me check where Abuka is.
30-ish.
He is 29th for Jamie, 31st for Heath.
Dave is the high guy on Abuka at 23rd.
He had a lot of targets last week.
He had a rushing touchdown as well.
And Kate Otten, if you're desperate, they involve him a lot.
But I don't know, maybe that's more of a Baker-Mayfield thing.
All right, so here come to chat questions.
Jeremy Bernard or Mecca, Bernard.
Loveland or Friarmouth.
Muth.
Friar-Muth or Pitts?
Mooth, yep.
Dahliel McLaughlin or Kenneth Gainwell.
A lot of moving parts there, but probably McLaughlin is the easiest answer.
Yeah.
Rogers, Winston, or Daniel Jones?
Rogers.
I agree.
Warren or Swift?
So that's one where Warren will fall behind Swift if doubt a place.
Unless Menonga comes back.
That's for me.
Kendri Milliken probably Warren.
He did not practice.
Menong had to not practice.
Kendri Miller or Chris Godwin?
Miller.
Yeah
Jeremy Bernard
Jalen Waddle
or Luther Burdon
Half PPR
Burden
Yeah
You like Bernard over Waddle
Yes
I do not
They're back to back I think
Metcalf born or Downs
PPR
McKay
McKay
Metcalf
Come on man
Like he's
Get it going here
Bucky or Steven
He was going
And then last week happened
He was going
Yeah
He got two
Two long catches
On like the last drive
There's second
The last drive
the game against Cleveland, which was nice to see.
But again, that's what I'm talking about.
Last week is like a five-yard A-Dot for Aaron Rogers.
That's terrible for Metcalf.
Bucky or Stevenson?
Right now it's Stevenson, but it will be Bucky if Henderson plays.
I've got Bucky.
Either way.
Pittsburgh's DST is worth starting.
Tampa Bay allows the most fantasy points to DSTs.
Baltimore and Cleveland, I don't have a stat of the game.
I have a profile of the game.
I want to talk more about Denzel Boston because he keeps coming.
through for the most part. There are 61 receivers with 20 or more targets. Denzel Boston
ranks first in yards per catch out of 61 receivers with 20 or more targets. He ranks fifth
in yards per target. Here are the guys ahead of Denzel Boston in yards per target. Drake London,
Zayflowers, Christian Watson, Jackson Smith and Jigpa. You know who he is? He's Alec Pierce.
He's Alec Pierce a little bit. Yep. He's got a 16.5 yard A-DOT. And he also has a 16.5 percent
target per route run rate.
That's the most concerning thing for him.
He has a 20% target share, which is okay.
The target per route rate doesn't matter all that much with him because he's one of the few
receivers who runs almost every single route.
But his three touchdowns, Denzel Boston's three touchdowns this year, 46, 55, and 29 yards
out.
I'm painting the picture of a guy who is coming through for you in fantasy most weeks, but
makes me nervous as hell.
He is a terrible profile for fantasy.
But every week it seems like Deshaun Watson will throw one incredible pass in the end zone on a deep ball to Denzo Boston.
So, start or sit, Jamie, Denzo Boston.
I'm starting him.
Again, four teams on a buy, all the injuries at the position.
Maybe he sees a slight uptick in targets if Concepcion doesn't play.
This feels like chasing points, throwing the ball late in the game, which has happened to him twice.
So look, at some point you just have to say luck, yes.
Is it going to stop at some point?
Sure.
But how many times you get stared at him sitting on your bench and say,
I wish I started Denzel Boston?
So you start to compare him to Jalen Waddle, for example,
who's been struggling or D.K. Metcalf.
Steelers, yes.
You like them better than the Steelers guys?
Yeah.
Okay.
Heath?
I think there's like a million moving parts for Denzel Boston.
does Concepcion Judkins play
and one maybe people aren't thinking about
does Lamar Jackson play
because I think this line has moved quite a bit
with positive reports that Lamar Jackson
could come back this week.
If Tyler Huntley's starting,
I don't think this is a five and a half point spread
and I don't think the Ravens implied point total
is near as high against the Browns defense.
And if the Ravens don't have a lead,
then I don't think there's a lot of Deshawn Watson
Yolo balls in the second half.
So right now I have Boston
just behind the Steelers wide receivers,
just ahead of Josh Downs,
Ameca, Buka, and Terry McLaurin.
I think he's like,
that profile you described
is the profile of the boom bust
number three wide receiver that we talk about.
He's boomed a few times.
He could bust any week.
He could boom again this week.
Yeah.
All right.
The easy ones in this game,
Derek Henry is easy.
There's not that many.
Zay Flowers is pretty easy.
He's a cinch of Lamar Jackson plays.
He scored 14.9 fantasy points last week.
with Tyler Huntley, Tyler Huntley having one of his better games.
It's basically the last three games with Tyler Huntley has been the exact same thing
except last week he had the 19-yard rush.
He's going to get you 13 points probably.
But he also had a chunk play, probably like a 15-yard catch, that they took off.
They accepted a pass.
It was like 20-something yards.
Was it?
Yeah, they accepted a pass interference penalty, which you don't really-
I can sway the bet.
You don't really see.
I know.
I was just thinking that I was like, oh, I hope to God that the bet is decided on
that play. You don't see a team like take away stats from their player, but it was on their game
tying drive. It was, it was like a deep hitch and the penalty was five yards further than the
catch. So it made sense. It was great. So, anyway. I'm sure there are people who lost their fantasy
game because of that. Yeah, well, it wasn't me. So start head to restart flowers at worst as like top
15 guy, better if Lamar Jackson plays. Mark Andrews or Harold Fana Jr.?
Fanon.
Yeah, I got this theory about the, about the Ravens defense.
They remind me of the bills last year where they don't,
a lot of teams are very content to just give up short passes and then make the tackle.
They are not.
They try to cover this from what I saw anyway.
They try to cover those guys.
And they allow the fourth lowest completion percentage,
six lowest yards per attempt on air yards,
on the past attempts of seven or fewer air yards or zero to seven air yards,
which is where tight ends live.
Terrible, terrible Harold Van instead.
He had a 24%.
target per route run last year. It's 17% this year. Wow. That's like that's just not if you're not, unless
you're in a really good offense, that's not a starting tight end. Yeah, that stinks. But he had had three
good games in a row before a dud against the jet. He's the he's the touchdown or busts
tight end right now. And thankfully, the tight end position has been good enough that we don't start
touchdown or bust tight ends. True. And I guess we don't start Mark Andrews either. All right. So then
the last thing here would be, well, first of all, Deshaun Watson and Andrews and Sean
Watson.
No.
Not with all the other guys
like Jamis is rostered and Leslie
because I'd rather start James.
I think he's in a similar range as James, but
James has been a lot better lately.
Heath, give me a rundown of how you're treating
the Cleveland running backs.
Oh boy.
So we're not expecting Judkins to play right now.
And so I have Julio
McLaughlin like right around RB30,
which is,
is pretty bad this week, because once you get past the top 18 running backs, it's just pretty gross.
He might go up a little bit if Judkins is ruled out, but he's probably going to score around 10 PPR fantasy points.
This team has thrown the ball.
Like you mentioned, I think it was McLaughlin versus Kenneth Gainwell.
Rahim Sanders, I think, has been better than Kenneth Gainwell.
So even if Judkins plays, McLaughlin might be better than Kenneth Gainwell.
Because they've thrown it to their running backs a lot.
If Judkins is out, then I think Audric Estimate is probably going to handle more early down work than we want him to, and McLaughlin will be in that RB30 range.
If Judkins plays, put him in the Omari in Hampton range and Hope.
Okay.
So just one more, one more name.
I'm expecting Judkins to sit.
I would love to see Dylan Samson get healthy and be the guy because I think he can play on passing downs.
They know how to take him off the field.
So none of these guys are great rushers.
And so if they give Samson the opportunity to play, 70% of the snaps.
But he didn't practice at all yesterday, right?
He did not.
But the fact that they're talking about opening his window, again, it's hope.
So if we're talking about no Judkins and the choices are Samson, McLaughlin, and estimate, I want to see Samson.
Adam, I think a good off-season study for you, this seems like something you'd be really good at.
is like my
from what I'm remembering
the practice window being open
usually means the players
two to three weeks away.
Yeah.
I want to know how many times
the practice window has been open
and a guy's played that week.
Okay.
Well, hopefully it starts with AJ Brown.
Well,
Jacobi Lane also,
another one that sounds like he's trying
in the right direction.
I'm trying to think this happened
at all this year.
And I think there's a difference
between the practice window opening
for the Pupless versus
is I are.
Same time frame.
If not mistaken, it's 21 days.
But usually the IR guys are coming back from something that happened in season,
and they're probably a little bit more ahead, far ahead.
I don't know.
All right.
Let's read some questions here.
Boston, Burden, or Woody Marks?
Woody.
I would go with Woody.
Judkins or Dobbins, if Judkins play.
You're not going to, that's a Thursday nighter.
You got to go Dobbins.
Got to play Dobbins.
or Higby.
Higby.
I've got Fannin.
Flowers or Parker, Washington?
Flowers.
Lamar Jackson thing.
I've got flowers
just one spot ahead with Huntley,
so I'm going flowers either way.
Jamie, you go flowers at Lamar place?
Flowers either way.
Oh, you said flowers.
Boston or Kraft?
Hmm.
Boston.
That's a good one.
I have...
I've got craft.
Ravens DST or Seahawks DST?
Seahawks.
Yeah.
Ravens have been a bad DST.
Ravens or Niners?
Ravens for me.
I'll go Niners, I think.
Valle or Jacoby Lane if he plays this week?
Yeah, go Vailaylea.
McLaughlin or Kendry Miller or Wondale Robinson.
Wondell's floor is very safe at 11 PBR points three games in a row.
Miller would be the easy choice for me
if there is no Camara.
I'll go Wondale or Miller.
I'll go Wondale probably.
I mean, yes, I agree Miller if Camara's out,
but we've got a partial practice on Wednesday,
so I'm expecting him.
Here's my last question about this game.
Is there another Cleveland-wide receiver
you'd be interested in, like, Concepciona plays?
Because I would be.
I mean, he had eight to nine targets
in two straight games before last week.
I mean, 11 PPR points,
if that's what you're looking for,
Sure sure.
I think I'd start him over McLaughlin.
Yeah.
I don't know with that.
Sure.
It's like Wondale.
All right.
Jets at Patriots.
Don't disrespect Wanda.
You want to know the history of Garrett Wilson
versus Christian Gonzalez back in 2024.
Looks like Gonzalez shadowed.
I was watching the targets in most some of the routes.
Gonzalez pretty much shadowed him in like week two or something like that.
And he had five catches, 33 yards and a touchdown on nine targets.
So he struggled.
The second time they played, Devante Adams was on the team, and Gonzalez shadowed
Devante Adams, and Garrett Wilson had a huge game, 113 yards.
I would not be surprised if Gonzalez did a really good job on Garrett Wilson.
So, again, I don't have Garrett Wilson, but I would start him, but I just have to bring that
up.
We talked about that earlier during one question for each game.
Braylon Allen is a top 17 running back, but Ramandre Stevenson is even better than that.
Stevenson is 12th, top
14 for everyone, between 11 and 14.
He's just behind Chuba Hubbard.
He's right there with Bucky Irving.
He's behind D'Andre Swift.
What are the tough calls in this game?
Because we're going to sit, Gino.
There actually are some tough calls.
Definitely, Drake May, for sure.
Let's say A.J. Brown does not play.
Jamie, how do you feel about the Patriots-wide receivers?
Listen, somebody's going to play,
give you something.
And I wish that there was,
here's why it's going to be this guy.
So last week,
it was two touchdowns for Demerio Douglas.
It was a touchdown for Kyle Williams.
It was,
huh?
You lost that matchup.
You just made me think about Yolo again.
Oh, sorry.
I love DeMario Douglas.
I love him.
He's awesome.
Yeah.
It was, you know, Chisham with six targets
and five catches, whatever it was.
He's got back-to-back
weeks with kind of that he's the new Malik, Washington.
So if we're just ranking them as flexes, I would say Hunter Henry is one, then I would
go Chisholm 2, Douglas 3, I'm sorry, I would go Henry 1, Dobbs 2, Chisholm 3, Douglas 4,
Williams 5. But it was the first game without Matt Collins 2.
Yeah, and he's on IR now.
Yeah, so it's really just a dart throw. So that league where I reference,
where I'm down like a bunch of receivers.
I picked up to Mario Douglas.
It's bottom of the barrel.
Just somebody with a pulse.
And hopefully he comes through.
That is bottom of the barrel right there.
Which quarterbacks are you starting over Drake May?
Jordan Love?
Yes.
I have May higher, but that's close.
Yeah, Drake May is the top five guy.
You start here.
All right, Hunter Henry is not like a slam dunk start here.
Would you start Hunter Henry or who did we just talk about?
We had Fanon and Mark Andrews.
Henry over those guys.
Yep, but Mooth and Strange over Henry.
He's, you know, back-to-back games with 11 PPR points,
one touchdown over that span.
The Jets have actually done a pretty good job against tight ends.
You know, I know it's not like, oh, they're great because of this player,
that player, but they are doing a good job containing the position.
The irony of all that is that Aaron Glenn is defending the position well,
but his former team cannot come close to it.
So I think if you, you know, kind of been riding Henry for the last couple,
weeks as you're, you know, de facto streamer, keep him. But if you could pick up for
Aramuth or I like it, it can be better and strange as well. Okay. And then, yeah, Brelin Allen, like I said,
he's a really solid number two running back. The Patriots run defense has not quite been what it was
last year, not even close. Last week, maybe a step in the right direction. Well, their run defense is
still decent. Their fantasy production allowed has been dramatically different. I mean, last year,
they were the best run defense in the NFL when they had.
Yeah, it's not, it's not even close to that, but it's not, it's certainly not a good
matchup.
But they do allow the fifth most receiving yards per game and running backs.
We'll see if they can get Braylon Allen involved there.
That hasn't really been the case.
Well, to be fair, he had four targets last week and only one catch for New York.
That's true.
He had a drop.
He was out open in space, had a drop in the rain.
Giants DST or Jets DST from the chat?
No.
Go get the Colts.
Yeah.
If this is the best you have, I guess I'd probably go Giants.
I would.
Yeah, me too, but not.
Yeah, but I don't want to do that.
Sit one.
Braylon Allen, DeAndre Swift, or Emmanuel Wilson?
Wilson.
Braylin.
Patrick Wilhelm Holmes or Drake May.
May.
Okay.
Remandre, Emmanuel Wilson, or Braylon Allen.
Who's your favorite?
Ramandre.
Yep.
All, Ramandre's top 12.
right now are right around there.
Where are you going to rank them if Trayvion plays?
14, 15.
18.
Azer loves shadow receivers
and who's the goal lineback.
Yes, I do.
I love those.
I love it.
I love a number one cornerback going up against the number one receiver.
It's one of my favorite things in...
We don't get it as much as we used to.
We really don't, but we do with Christian Gonzalez.
They don't mess around most of the time with him.
He shadows.
Adam is way smarter than Dan.
That is complete.
I have no idea what the comment.
I just saw it and I put a star next to it.
Thank you.
Henry or...
Hey, Sam, can we show that tomorrow on the mailbag, please?
Get Dan's commentary.
I'd like, I think next year's competition should just be an IQ test.
Oh my God, Adam would kill him.
No, I don't think so.
Dan's very smart.
But I do think I did better on the SATs.
I will, you know, let's just go back to that.
I don't want to take an IQ test.
Henry or Kraft?
I think our production staff would much rather do an inside IQ
Q test and set up for tennis again.
Craft for me.
Last one.
Pick two.
Braylon,
Alan,
Emmanuel Wilson,
Emanuel Wilson,
Emanuel Wilson,
and Tootland for me.
Alan and Tutin for me.
All right.
And that's it for this game.
Let's see.
We got Tennessee and Indianapolis.
Sorry,
to keep you all waiting.
I'll save the best for last.
No, I got two more after.
Because I do that.
Come one.
I think we get, well,
Look, I don't do it by like best game.
I do it by tough calls.
Buffalo, Las Vegas is super easy.
And then the last game is Kansas City and the Chargers.
That's pretty easy too, right?
This game is kind of tough, actually, with Josh Down.
So even Tony Pollard, right?
Tony Pollard to bounce back.
Wondale and Carnell Tate.
Actually, there may not be a single must start in this game other than Taylor.
Oh, Tyler Warren.
But there are a lot of guys that I think we're going to be.
going to get questions about it. So Heath, how do you see it? Like Taylor, obviously, Tyler
Warren, obviously. There's a lot of fringy guys. Who do you like? Um, well, Taylor and Warren
are the guys that we like. I think my, my next favorite guy in full PPR would be Tate and then
Pollard and then Downs and then Wondale who apparently unfortunately they're kind of the same guy.
Um, but yeah, it's, it's in that range. I've seen some people maybe wanting to stream Daniel
Jones. I don't really love that. Um, I think.
you're probably going to end up starting Tony Pollard this week unless you just found gold on the waiver wire.
Well, you got Braylin Allen, right? You got obviously Jaylen Warren. You'd start Braylon Allen over Tony Pollard, I assume.
I would.
How about Woody? I think the tough calls for Pollard would be Marshawn Lloyd because of just where he's at and touchdown potential.
In terms of waiver, guys, Damien Pierce.
What about Woody Marks?
I would start Marks over him, but.
I would too.
I would have more of like the lower tiered waiver wire guys.
And if for whatever reason, you know, Camara doesn't make it through a full practice,
that back injury may, like he said, he may play, but he may not be 100%.
And Kendra Miller against the Giants, there's, to me, more of a pass-catching role for Tony
Pollard, but not significantly more after what we saw last week than Kendra Miller.
And Miller may score a touchdown against the Giants because that's what happens.
Man, I've had such a hard time with the Kendra Miller thing,
because he did score a touchdown.
But do you know that C.J. Donaldson led Saints running backs and snaps.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah, they couldn't do anything offensively, though.
So it's hard to, like, you throw that game out.
Well, it's the only reason we might start Kendra Miller.
Well, the Giants are the reason.
But the Colts are terrible against running backs, too.
The Colts give up 4.7 yards per carry.
So to backs, they're giving up the six most fantasy points,
at the most receiving yards per game to running backs,
which might be why Dave likes Tijey Spears a little bit more
than you guys do this.
week. But if you look at who the Colts have played, they were bad against Derek Henry, they were bad
against Kenneth Walker, they were bad against Jalen Warren. They were good against the Houston
guys. They were good against the Washington guys. And Tony Pollard is closer to Houston and Washington
than he is to Henry Walker and Jalen Warren. He's in the middle. But, you know, Pollard, he has,
what, 14, 17, 16 carries in his last three games? No. And then 14 again. So 14 or more in
four straight games for Tony Pollard, I believe.
In most weeks he'd be a flex.
This week, he's right around 20th.
I think you're just looking at it as comparing him to,
did you need to make a roster move to go get Damien Pierce
or to go get Kendrae Miller or to go get Julio McLaugh?
I'm like, that's dependent on what you have on the rest of your bench.
I think Pollard is serviceable.
I just don't think he's league winner without finding the end zone.
He could easily score, you know,
but the thing about Spears last week,
He had five catches coming into the game.
He leaves with nine on nine targets for fewer than 30 yards.
So it's not like you're talking about a,
like this was the poster child performance for why people hate PPR.
Yeah.
Do you think that Carnell Tate is better than,
who've we been talking about?
Like you wouldn't start Carnal Tate over Garrett Wilson or anything,
but you'd start over Josh Downs.
Yeah.
I started over the Steelers.
Okay, yeah, Steelers guys. Heath would start him over them.
Jamie, how about you?
Tate versus Steelers guys?
Yeah, for me, I start the Steelers guys, but essentially it's DK, Bernard, and Tate back to back to back.
So, you know, two solid games for Cardinal Tate where he looked like he was starting to build towards something
and then has this back injury, which I think could be the reason why he struggled last week.
I don't know.
I'd like to see a little bit more consistency.
And if you're just talking consistency, Wondell Robinson has been more consistent than Cardinal Tate.
You know, so there's easy, there's an argument to be made that Wondell is the best receiver in this game.
So I would still take Tate.
I think there's more upside.
You had to score a touchdown.
They're probably not going to be many touchdown opportunities just based on how Cammore struggles.
So I don't think is a slam dunk for Cardinal Tate.
All right.
Tennessee, by the way, if you look at Josh Downs, Tennessee is allowed, and Keenan Allen.
They've allowed 60 or more yards to six wide receivers in five games.
So that's not bad.
Take that from Josh Downs.
Let's see if we have any...
Oh my gosh.
We have a lot of Adam versus Dan
potential competition.
I'll read those at the end of the show.
But Tate or A.J. Brown if he plays.
Brown.
I'll probably have Tate.
Pollard, Kendrick Bourne, or Dylan Samson?
Pollard.
Stuff between Pollard and Bourne.
I'd probably go Pollard.
Did you start?
Let's see, looking for this game here.
Keenan Allen, Jalen, Waddle, Jeremy Bernard, who sits?
Allen.
Yep.
Adam is way better at everything than Dan.
Thank you very much.
Tate or Waddle.
Did we just do that one?
Tate.
Waddle, Keenan Allen, or Godwin.
We're going to go with, oh, yeah.
So Waddle, Keenan, Alan, or Godwin, Waddle, right?
Yep, yep.
And Pollard or Bill?
Howell?
Downs or a Bucca?
Downs.
I think the one thing is to keep an eye on with both downs and Keenan Allen.
Like, you know, downs, two very solid games, the first two without or the game where
Alex Pierce got hurt and then the next game afterwards.
And then two disappointing ones last week.
Is it because he can't handle being the one?
We'll see.
Keenan Allen, two games without Alex Pierce, he missed one.
Nine targets on both those games?
All right, Buffalo and Las Vegas.
Can we do five minutes for the last two games?
I think we can do it.
Start Alan, start Cook.
Start us at Kincaid.
So he's behind the streaming guys for me this week, behind Strange,
behind Firemooth, behind Higby.
I do think there is reason to go back to him.
You did get a lot of questions for Joe Brady this week
about why Kincaid's usage has been so poor.
This is from the Bill's Media.
And he talked about,
got to do a better job getting him more involved.
So you could get this squeaky will game here.
The Raider's thinking against that ends.
And so there is an opportunity here to hope for a bounce back.
But I would, I would, the way that I would approach it is if I have Kincaid and I picked up one of these guys, I would start the other player and just keep Kincaid on the bench with the hope that this is the, you know, getting back to getting him back on track.
I wonder if he might be better if DJ Moore's back.
Like they just don't have anybody else to defense.
like Dalton Kincage your biggest concern in the passing game if there's no DJ Moore.
It felt like the Rams game was, let's not take chances with this receiving core against his defense.
Like that's just the way it felt.
And so conservative for Josh Allen, he ran for over 100 yards.
Like, I know he's got that in his bag, but I can't imagine that's what Joe Brady and Josh Allen want to do on a week-to-week basis.
So, yeah, if DJ Moore plays, I'll start him, Jamie.
If DJ Moore doesn't play, and then we'll talk about the Raiders with Heath.
But if DJ Moore doesn't play, are you going to Keon Coleman, to Shakir, or just avoiding or what?
I would start Keon Coleman and three receiver leagues.
I don't think you can make a case for either of the two guys to be started in two receiver leagues.
But, again, four teams on a buy with a lot of big-name time receivers missing and a lot of injuries at the position.
He had, I think it was like, I don't know, 30 yards worth of receptions taken away from penalty.
So not a huge game.
But you tack that on with the touchdown and maybe another catch or two.
And then you're talking about 12 to 15 ppr points.
So this is a much easier matchup.
I mean, again, we just talked about what the Patriots did.
Three touchdowns combined from Kyle Williams and Demario Douglas.
So Keon Coleman's got an opportunity here.
You got a little lucky where Keith got unlucky with the tackle,
but lucky with the Khalil Shakir play at the end of the game, 3 for 80.
You know, you take that away.
It's a pretty miserable performance, but he's capable of more as well.
So I think this is a better throwing game for Buffalo than what we saw last week.
and that should lend to the past catchers,
the three main ones, at least if DJ Moore's not there,
of Kincaid, Coleman, and Shakir being more involved.
So not anything with a certainty.
You know, I picked up Coleman in a few leagues
where I need to start him in three or sea relief.
Heath, let's talk about the Raiders and Ashton Genty real quick.
So Genti...
You're starting Ashton Jenti.
Well, I mean, yeah, you could be,
but he's been pretty brutal.
And, you know, in full PPR, he really hasn't been that bad,
but he hasn't been great.
I think he's RB12.
All right.
So I was going to say like you like the Stior's receivers.
You like Carnell Tate is like kind of number two.
You're starting Ashton Gentie.
All right.
Ramandre or Gentie over them?
Gentie for me.
Remandre for me.
It will be Gentie if Henderson plays.
Raylan Allen or Gentie?
Gentie.
I'm doing it right now.
I am dropping Aaron Rogers for Kirk Cousins in one league.
I'm going to start Rogers over Cousins in the other league.
I'm going to split it.
There you go.
All right.
You guys have cousins right.
right around 12th.
I see the appeal.
Every quarterback beats up on the bills.
Their past defense isn't good.
They score a lot of points.
They make you throw.
I am a little nervous about the pressure rate
because the bills can get pressure on the quarterback.
The Raiders' offensive line has not been very good
the last two weeks.
Kirk Cousins even talked about that post-game
said that Patriots got a lot of pressure on him
and that certainly affected him.
But every quarterback's thrown at least 34 times
against the bills.
And not only that, Kurt Cousins,
he scored the most fantasy points
of any quarterback against the Chargers this year by far.
The most fantasy points of any quarterback against the Chiefs this year by far.
The most fantasy points of any quarterback against the Saints this year by far.
And the Saints have also faced Jared Gough and they face Lamar Jackson, granted without safe flowers.
So Cousins has had a good season, struggled last week.
Let's bounce back Kirk Cousins.
Start Brock Bowers.
Michael Mayer or Dalton Cuncate.
King Cade.
And Trey Tucker is like a dart throw.
Who's the best wide receiver in this game if DJ Moore does not play?
Coleman.
It'd be Tucker for me, but they're all the same flexes.
And where would you rank DJ more if he does play?
Gets in a full practice, probably around 20.
Partial practice, probably closer to 28.
Chargers are at the Chiefs.
I would guess at this point, though, they're probably going to sit him.
They have their buy next week, so the fact that he didn't even go through a walkthrough is not encouraging.
Heath, would you start any chargers?
If Ladd gets back and is healthy, then yes.
Are we still going to deal McLaughlin over a Chargers running back, Hampton?
I'm still going to start Hampton over McLaughlin.
How about Damien Pierce, if Barkley's out?
Pierce, for sure.
You saw the report that if they fire McDaniel, who the coordinator is going to be right?
Oh, is it case?
Yeah.
That'll be good.
Yeah, McConkey, you think he'll be a top 24 receiver if he plays?
If it's a full practice.
The Chiefs allow the fewest fantasy points
to the wide receivers right now.
They have not faced good competition, though.
But they did great against Waddle.
That's pretty much it.
If Mekonki's out,
who is the sleeper, if anyone?
Johnston.
As somebody, Johnson plays.
Yeah.
I mean...
I think their next best receiver
is Mark with Valdez, can we?
Yeah.
Charlie Kohler?
A revenge game.
This is a disaster.
Patrick Mahol's, seventh for Jamie, fourth for Dave, 10th for Heath.
Why the confidence in Mahomes, Jamie?
Well, this is with Rice playing.
So if Rice is out, then he'll drop, you know, probably closer to 12,
and I might start Kirk Cousins over him.
But I would still start him.
His history, recent history versus long-term history coming off five weeks is much different.
So he does have a very good average in his career coming off five weeks,
but the last couple of seasons
and not as good as you expect.
I think this is a game
where Mahomes is probably going to try and be theatrical
because this is the game that he tore his ACL.
So just knowing the player
and how he gets motivated,
would not be surprised if there's a moment or two
where he's flexing in the end zone.
So I think there's still opportunities here.
And again, we've seen very different versions
of Mahomes so far this season,
a couple games where he's run more than I expected.
To me, this feels like a Kelsey game
with or without.
Rice. So I think Kelsey's going to have a strong
performance and do well.
And then I have interest in Xavier
Worthy if there is no Rashi Rice.
He's gotten two games. He's had two games this
year with seven targets. He's been double digit and
both of them. Not huge performances, when he scored
a touchdown. So you're looking at
no Thornton. That gives him a bump.
If there's no Rice, I think he's
a borderline top 24th year.
Kelsey is top eight
for everybody. Chargers allow the ninth
fewest fantasy points to tight ends. They've basically
been really good other than against Trey McBride.
I don't know what the hell is going on with Travis Kelsey.
He's got an 8.7% and 14.8% target share of the last two games.
One of them was basically entirely without Rishi Rice.
So I don't know.
It's not encouraging after an encouraging start to the season.
But I think that's going to be Kelsey.
I think it's going to be pretty up and down this year.
And Chiefs DST, Jamie loves them.
Heath does not.
Heath is like fine with them.
I picked them up in a league.
They've been great against Denver and Miami.
Terrible against the Colts and the Raiders.
So good matchup, certainly.
for them.
And let's see if I have any questions here for this game.
We've got Hampton or Damien Pierce.
I think I asked that, right?
Pierce.
Pierce.
I think, yeah, Pierce.
Lad or downs?
It'd be loud if he plays.
Yep.
Kendrae Miller or Hampton?
I think I have them back to back right now with Hampton one spot ahead.
So Camara's injury situation will determine if that changes.
Yep.
Bernard, Jeremy Bernard or Ladd-McConkey?
Be Ladd if you place.
Yep.
