to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
Oh, welcome in.
The fantasy footballers back with you.
Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway.
Thursday, April 30th.
What, what, Mike?
I just had a realization.
That you're a fairweather fan.
I know what his realization.
No one.
Yeah, baby!
Also, what, go to my camera.
What are you talking about?
Mike is wearing a different hat today than we normally wears.
This is where it would be being the champs, you know?
Last year's chance, probably this year's champs.
You're a big OKC fan.
Always have been, guys.
Well, no, I remember you were a big Warriors fan during those heyday years.
No, no, I know.
Big Chiefs fan.
Yeah, Yankees.
You like the Astros a lot during their whole.
controversy. I know you were a big fan of what they did. And despise trash cans. Yeah, yeah. Welcome
into the show. Second half of our draft recap. What are you going to do, man? Sometimes you got to
get to jump on the train. NFC winners and losers on this show today. But first, we need some
sort of, can we get the mic announcement horn of some sort? Oh, you need the big horn. Yeah.
We do have our draft week giveaway winners to announce here.
on the show.
So anybody that picked up the Ultimate Draft Kit over the weekend or has purchased it since we
started pre-orders in February, they were all entered to win at Jamar Chase signed Jersey,
Bijon Robinson, Jersey, and a listener league spot, which have been picked out.
We also threw out some extra swag to some folks out there.
Let's start here.
The Jamar Chase jersey goes to.
Who?
I just wanted to put the producer on the spot.
There was a chance.
There's a...
There it is.
Adam Johnson with the Jamar
Chase signed jersey.
Congratulations.
Oh, now see, I have set us up for like multiples.
I put in slack I'll hit you
with a drum roll for the listener league slot.
No, we're committed now.
The Bijon jersey goes to...
Yeah, I knew.
Yeah, it's not good.
It's not good.
William Villa or Via,
however you pronounce it.
And then, hey guys.
Have we, have we messaged the listener league spot winner?
Not yet.
Oh, do we?
So this is, maybe they're just breaking news.
Right now.
You, if you haven't heard yet that you're in the league, this might be you right now.
All right.
If your name is.
Steven.
Good works, Stephen.
Go ahead and pronounce the last name.
Jabo.
It's Jibo.
It's Jiboy.
Gibboe.
Gibbyu.
I think Mike actually got it right.
I think it's Jabeau.
Okay.
All right.
that works. If that's your name or something close to it, we, we look out for an email from Al Borland.
We also sent some swag packs out to Cody.
Cody P. James F. and Bryce L. for some swag packs. Lots of giveaways this week. I had somebody email me this morning and they said, I didn't have time to pre-order it Thursday, Thursday. Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday when I had a chance.
Could I buy it today and still be entered? And I said, no, but. But, because we had already picked the winners, because
we're honorable men and there's a window, right?
But I said if you get it, we do more giveaways and more fun stuff over the entire summer.
Also, then you have it.
Right. That is also one of the perks is having it once you get it.
Ultimate draft kit.com for that. Let's move on to the news.
News and notes from around the league.
So much for knowing before the draft, huh?
The Steelers place the rare right of first refusal tender on Aaron Rogers.
I've never even heard of this tender.
It means that he can accept a 10% raise off of a vote.
last year's salary, which would pay him about
15 million this year from another team.
Right? And then they could match it?
Yes. That is. What a cool
thing that he has forced
them to do. Yeah, weird.
Aaron Rogers is going to be the quarterback.
Aaron Rogers is not going to get to the... I don't.
I'm... Where are you at? Give me your odds.
Okay, my odds are 95%.
I'm like, 55-45, no.
I can't imagine Aaron Rogers.
Will Howard.
This is Aaron.
Howard over Allard?
So in my opinion, this is just, does Aaron Rogers want to play football or not?
And by the time football starts coming around, I think he's going to be like, yeah, I want to play football.
So I talked to some of, I've got friends that are lifelong Steelers Flans.
They've grown up.
Flans.
They're flans.
All right.
Like the gelatin.
Yeah, no, I got it.
They grew up, you know, yellow and black.
Like they don't want Aaron Rogers as their quarterback.
They think it is a lost season.
I agree.
They would like to see Will Howard or Drew Aller or anybody else.
If I was a Steelers fan, 100%.
I would not want Aaron Rogers anywhere near the team.
It's not best for your future.
It will probably win the most games this season to have Aaron Rogers there.
Not best for your future.
Remember when Hakeem Ilajuwon was on the Toronto Raptors, Jason?
Nope.
What?
He was.
Really?
Yeah, Hakeem Olajuwon played for the Raptors.
This is the dream, the Canadian dream?
The Canadian dream.
The Canadian dream shake up there in the Great White North.
It's a fact.
But you know what?
We're not going to remember Aaron Rogers, the Steelers.
No.
We're going to remember the Packer, and he had amazing years,
and we'll be a Hall of Famer.
But can we, can we, he's doing, it's weird to be.
We're done with this.
We've already done the Brett Farve thing.
Yeah.
It's just funny.
Can't wait for Jordan Love to do this.
Oh, yeah.
I guess that's inevitable.
NFL Network's Ian Rappapapaport reporting.
wrap up a porting, as I like to say,
that Broncos quarterback Bo Nix
underwin a successful and anticipated
follow up, clean up procedure on his ankle.
Well, he had the injury that forced us into
not getting to watch him in the
title game, right? I'm just laughing at the
anticipated part there. Like, it was successful.
It was anticipated.
Oh, yeah, you got to do that. We didn't accidentally
have surgery. Like, we knew we were going to do it.
He didn't slip on a banana peel and fall on a gurney.
The scoppels in my
ankle.
One of the most anticipated surgeries in history, this one.
Free agent wide receiver, Joan Jennings, visited the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday,
still a free agent.
Jennings has spent at least three off seasons begging to be worth more.
And deserving to be worth more?
I think at one point, yes, but I don't feel that way.
Jennings is a solid receiver, sure.
I think he has a lot to offer a team.
You want him to bring it to Minnesota?
as the wide receiver three he would be very helpful
Lions exercise Jamir Gibbs 50 or option for 2027
shocking
that one makes sense and also Quentin Johnston man
huge what a roller coaster that's been look at us
whoever thought we would be here together
we are in the middle of doing our team by team player by player
stat analysis you know projecting every single
player that goes into the UDK so we are looking
closely at these teams
I saw Jason, he tweeted a disparaging remark about the dolphins after looking at them in the UDK.
Well, it was because I had to stat their wide receivers.
Right.
No, that's not a pleasant experience.
But I look at the Chargers and I see this team desperately needing Quentin Johnston.
It's like you look at what they have.
They desperately need him.
They desperately need him.
So fifth year option makes sense to me.
Jonathan Brooks.
Yes, Jonathan Brooks.
Ah.
Said he's been fully cleared to participate in Carol.
line is offseason program and feels close to 100%.
Taurus ACL out of Texas, retored in 2024.
Really sad story.
I mean, this was the highest drafted running back of that class, right?
Yes, he was.
Have you...
Ahead of Trey Benson.
Yeah, I mean...
Andy, have you been tweaking any Carolina projections yet?
Not with Jonathan Brooks.
I mean, I have gotten into Carolina, yes.
Okay.
I just wondered if how you were handling Chuba versus Johnny Brooks
because it...
I haven't got to them yet, but it's like in just, you know, the vibes and thinking through the situation.
Chuba feels like he will go back to what he was two years ago, which was a massive steal.
Because I just, like the making the bet on Brooks feels so difficult right now.
It's really tough when you come back from an ACL and then have an immediate, you know, ACL rupture again.
And now he's coming back and you'd hope that this quote is like, I'm 100%.
And he's still like, I'm close to 100%, which is.
is not great.
I've done the Panthers.
I had Chuba down for 230 carries to Brooks's 72.
Oh, okay.
He had Chuba at 230.
I have a.05 right now.
But I also spread the ball to A.J. Dillon's on that roster now.
Trevor E.T.N.
Rookie last year had 20 opportunities.
He could get more this year.
And Jonathan Brooks, it's really hard to expect much from him.
But it would be nice to see him on the field, I think.
Yeah, I mean, this.
this is one of the
like think about this we're doing rookie drafts all over the place
right now around the office
we're doing real rookie drafts and you get all over the place
you get to these places in the corner in the bathroom
over the world in the
middle of the second where it just
the floor drops out and you're just guessing
the middle of second
I was being I was being
late first yes at about
112 where I was picking but what
pick would you
say, you know what, I would rather take a shot on Jonathan Brooks if I could basically
draft him here.
You mean, right? Okay.
Trade what pick right now in your rookie picks to go acquire Jonathan Brooks?
I don't think he would go ahead of Adam Randall or Mike Washington.
He would for me.
Okay.
I'd be willing to.
Like, I'll do a second rounder for Jonathan.
So you would go make that trade?
It's super, it's real volatile of Ken Jonathan Brooks ever come back.
This is just because of draft capital and talent.
And age, he's still very young.
I mean, I think he's younger than some of these running backs.
You'll be drafting as a rookie this year.
And how old are his knees?
72.
Okay.
I don't think we have any other news.
So let's just jump right in.
We got the entire NFC to get through today.
It's time.
Hi, rookie.
Welcome to the NFL.
Turns out the Cardinals playing the NFC.
And we're starting with the NFC.
West, which means our three and 14 Cardinals are the first team we'll get to talk about.
Hazaa.
We shared a lot of information on our opinions of the Jeremiah Love pick on the last episode.
I know it was the AFC, but so many big storylines were out of the NFC and we are the Cardinals fan.
So we kind of launched the show.
If you want more details, I don't think we'll rehash the contract situation and all that.
Just suffice to say the Cardinals are so freaking.
stupid and it is a...
You just re-hast it. I just recapped it. Oh, a bunch different.
Just they're stupid. A recap is more brief than a rehash. The details are on the last episode.
The cap goes on the top. The Cardinals drafted, the player projected to be the number one
rookie pick, and them drafting him didn't change that. Correct. Chairman my love is still the
number one pick. I think in the majority of, I would not mind if somebody wanted to take Carnell
Tate. It's not happening
where I'm watching drafts.
But I don't think that
that is, historically you look back at rookie
drafts and how stupid we are half the time.
I don't think that that is, if you're a team that's
completely flush at running back,
I don't think Tate is a bad pick. Right.
And like, I don't
know what
just nasty bad karma,
Tyler Algier has.
Let's say a prayer for him.
Gets drafted by the Falcons.
Oh.
Tyler
Day 3 pick breaks their record
Their rookie record for rushing
Over a thousand yards
And they were like
Yeah but we got a chance to get Bejon
Oh what is the lights doing
It's like we're a real storm
Oh and you're like
Oh what that sucks man
I get it though it's Beijon
Don't worry this will never happen to you
One day I'll be a real boy
Gets paid to be a starter
We get reports that Alger is like
Yo
Uh
What the heck man
I was
brought here to be the starter and then the carders was like no because we can get jeremiah love so i
i feel bad for that guy because i think he really deserved his chance and for for fantasy
aljir will he'll do some of the stuff they needed to be jean and like he's stealing touchdowns the
arizona cardinals because he's good the arizona cardinals could have had no question
that whether or not they would be able to draft jeremiah love at three there's no the jets
aren't doing that with Brees Hall, who they've got
on the franchise, and Mendoza's
won. So it's like, this is not like,
oh, you couldn't see this coming before you signed
Tyler Algier? That is a very
valid point. Come on, man. You guys are so stupid.
That's because they didn't really have this plan.
Their plan was to trade him. They didn't get what they
wanted because nobody bent because nobody else
wants to draft a running back at
three. All right.
Yeah. But from a fantasy perspective,
he'll be, I think it's going to be. Algear and
Connor, both massive losers.
Jeremiah Love will be the bell cow.
You don't draft a running back at three and not let him do that.
Alger could steal some touchdowns like you said,
but I think Love will have 200 plus opportunities.
Agreed.
I would say rookie year Jeremiah Love is going to be a disappointment.
I believe fantasy-wise, where he's drafted,
he'll be a slight disappointment.
It is not a bad landing spot destination going forward.
They don't have as bad an offensive line as like the Raiders with Genie last year.
Are you thinking a Gentile-level disappointment?
Yeah, very similar.
I mean, Gentie was the running back 12 last year, but still was definitely a disappointment.
He was not a good tip.
I think so.
I mean, right now I expect Jeremy I love to end up in my rankings at like running back 15.
Okay.
Like running back two.
Not even not top 12.
Yeah.
I know we don't like the team and we don't think they'll win.
But the truth about Arizona is that their offense was very good, which a couple of percent.
Like statistically, you look at it, they were very good.
They were ninth.
They were ninth.
In total.
In totality, yes, their actual EPA and everything like that was really, really bad.
If you look at that offense, they have every piece you could want to dominate.
They have Harrison and Wilson, Wilson, who went crazy less.
They have the best tight end in the league in McBride.
They have now a number of three overall pick, the highest paid running back in the league.
They have a lot of weapons on that team.
It's just wild to me that it's like they just,
need to figure out the play call, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
they also did not in any way shape or form this offseason address their
defense at all. Which is great for fantasy. It's great for fantasy. They didn't do it in the
free agent market. They really didn't even do it in the draft. I mean, they they,
they went Jeremiah I love, then a guard, then Carson Beck. And so this is still going to be a
team that is going, if you want to win a game, you're going to have to score 30. They have a
play caller that people believe in and trust in. You, you're going to, you.
saw the difference in the offensive play of Jacksonville last year. Jacksonville was the bottom
dwelling team. Yeah, this isn't, I don't think this is a bad landing spot for Jeremiah Love.
My issue and the reason why I say in redraft year one, it'll be disappointing. I do think that
the James Connor and Tyler Algier combo will be involved. They will get goal line. They will get
receptions. That would be great for Connor. For Connor, he should be traded. Yeah, for the team. And
Andy just to point it out even further,
2024, the Arizona
Cardinals had 42
total touchdowns. Last year they only had
40. Like this was a team that was
getting destroyed so they couldn't
run. No, they couldn't run at all.
They were four string running backs. I mean, they were very
successful in giving us fantasy points and getting
yards and things like that, but as an
truly effective offense, I don't
think they were. And there's
a good chance at the end of the season. We're going to see
rookie Carson Beck third rounder
running this offense, which will not be good for
So multiple things here.
I hated that pick.
As someone who you're like, yeah, I've said I don't want to be a fan of the Cardinals.
I'm not really.
It's just like, try to pull me back in.
I think this is just a, this is a waste of a pick because the highest odds are next year,
you're very high up in the draft.
You won't know does Carson Beck have it?
Because by the time you put him in, it will just be like towards the end of the year
and you're playing against other teams where people are giving up.
so I hated the pick
I also hate that you like
if you're in a Superflex
rookie draft you have to think about it
because you're like hey
what if what if we're all
what if I'm wrong what if the NFL is wrong
and not taking Carson Beck higher
and he's good
there's a hive of people who believe he is
and he's now
he's now three or four in Superflex
quarterback rankings because
you're going to have Simpson
you're going to have Mendoza
should he be two
I mean we'll get to the Rams but I don't think so I would not take him over because Ty Simpson is an injury away or years away I think two years at at minimum and it's like Carson Beck should at least try to play he's getting snaps this year unless something changed with the depth chart I think Arizona will play Jacoby and they'll play MNchu before they play back well their draft to sum up the entirety of their draft in their offseason the Cardinals are
the highest odds for Vegas to get the number one pick next year.
So they're not expected to do good things.
It's amazing when you took your shot at Miami,
who by the way, they weren't a good team.
You took your shot at them on Twitter,
and everybody attacks you like you think the Cardinals will be better than them.
We are not appealing to,
there is zero pride left on that front.
I think you were just sharing your opinion,
especially through the fantasy lens.
Yeah, it was genuinely just for fantasy.
of Miami. And so, look, Miami's the second highest odds for their one pick.
So there are a bunch of bad teams. We'll talk about him. San Francisco, 12 and 5.
They go, well, they didn't have a first. So they spent their second round pick on,
not Denzel Boston, who was sitting there, right? They could have. But Dazon
Stribling. And they would have taken him with their first round pick. They said that,
but they traded back into the second. Well, we'll take him. We'll take him earlier.
than you could even believe.
Which they still did.
They still took him.
They tried it back.
And then they drafted him higher than anyone would have believed.
Dejaun Stribling is a really
fascinating guy for Dynasty Leaks.
I'm watching him go in the third round of
rookie drafts.
He went third round of ours.
I mean, that's the 302.
That's unacceptable.
A second round running back.
I get that the, you know, we don't.
Yeah, yeah, thank you.
We dunked on the 49ers.
They have a history of failing with their day two skill position picks.
That's just an objective fact over the last several years.
However, this is a player that they basically were ready to take in the first round.
They did take him very high, super high draft capital, an offense that's good.
And because the draft community and the big board community was not really up on stribling,
like maybe we should have been
because we weren't earlier,
we aren't now.
And that's a mistake.
No, I stand by that position.
You stand by that he is not good enough to be...
When the 49ers have reached for players,
they don't work out on the field.
And so they reach for a player
that nobody has a consensus belief in,
and they take them early and we're supposed to believe in them.
I'm not going to go to that place.
I don't see the depth chart showing me that.
Let me tell you a story about...
Jaylen Polk.
Sure.
Second round pick by the noon and the Patriots who lasted about five seconds.
Yeah, I just don't believe.
This is a team that wants to win a Super Bowl.
I don't see this rookie in the second round that should have gone in the fourth round
contributing more than a handful of catches on the year.
They have Pearsall, Evans, Kirk.
I have a different opinion than you on that one.
It's just simply the one of the greatest signals for success.
Yes, for other teams.
Sure, from only other teams.
is draft capital.
And that is pretty much, if you were to,
if you were to do all your rookie drafts with nothing but draft capital,
you just take whoever was taken highest.
You're going to do all right.
It's kind of like auto drafting with your ADP and your fantasy football league.
That sucks.
That's why you believed in golden all last year.
It's why I took him and that's not going to work sometimes.
But a lot of things don't work.
I mean, you're just trying to make the bets that are 60% odds.
and usually higher draft picks, perform more, get longer leashes.
I say, I'm with you, Jason.
If I'm in the third round of my rookie draft, I'll take stribling there.
But I'm more on Andy's side.
Like, there's guys drafted after him that I prefer to take the shot on.
And Caleb Black, third round running back from the San Francisco 49ers,
we're here yet again for, I don't know how many years in a row,
and prepared to be fooled by it.
I had the 212. I have Christian McCaffrey in our dynasty league. I took Kalen Black. I took
him over stribling because I'm going to take a chance that I have the 49ers insurance
running back. I know that will not be correct. No, it'll be Jordan James this year, most likely.
Or maybe it's Garando again. I mean, they go through four a year. So, yeah, I picked him up.
He's 24 and a half years old. Prepared for it to be wrong. Kaelin Black is so bizarre.
He was not invited to the combat.
Not invited to the combine, and yet, what do we got?
10?
Oh, 10?
10 teams he did a top 30 visit for.
I want that agent.
Yeah, I mean, doing good work.
So I...
The San Francisco 49ers have drafted over the last five years,
Trace Sermon in the third round.
Elijah Mitchell in the 6th.
Tyrion Davis Price in the third.
Isaac Garindo in the 4.
In the 4th.
And now Jordan James was the 5th round pick last year.
now Caelin Black in the third.
Who was the-
Elijah Mitchell worked, but he wasn't above
80, like expectation
at all. He was a six-round steal.
No, I mean, when you look at reaches,
both of these offensive players
this year were massive reaches
over where they were expected to go
in the draft. They,
they could have gone probably
rounds later.
Kyle, who was the
one of the OGs?
It was the, where we got all the reports.
Kyle Shanahan is, is
pounding the table.
For somebody that they wanted to draft this running back,
and then they got drafted and we never heard from him again.
I mean, Tiri and Davis Price was one of them, for sure.
Yeah, there was been a lot.
I don't believe anything.
They'll be a good team.
But the one thing about San Francisco is that they,
while they draft players in the wrong spots and miss on them,
they also have no, it's ironic,
because you're saying, look, the statistics say your draft
Capital Associates with Success, which it does broadly.
Not nuanced necessarily, but broadly.
It's 100% fact.
Joe Williams.
But they don't give a crap about where the player's been drafted.
It can draft Trace Sermon in the third.
And if Elijah Mitchell has two better practices, that's their loyalty all of us.
That is legitimately true with the San Francisco 49ers.
That is a point that can't be argued against.
I mean, look at Brock Purdy.
He was Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick in the draft.
They're like, you're the better player.
You're up.
And so if these guys are better, they'll play.
That's where it's ironic because I have that same opinion, but more on the Kaelin Black side.
Because I just don't think Kailen Black's a good running back at all.
He was productive?
I don't, was he the best running back on his team?
No, he wasn't the more productive of the two, but he was and he's athletic.
Joe Williams, man.
I remember Joe Williams.
Fourth round of Shanney's first draft.
All right, we're taking a break.
We're talking Rams.
This is the division of confusion in the dress.
So like I said, the Cardinals were done a favor by San Francisco, in my opinion, spending picks.
If you like these guys, just take them later.
Yeah, I agree.
And then the Rams blew everybody's mind, including, I think, their head coach, who, you know, you can read it however you want.
I watched press conferences from previous years.
I watched this one.
Either he was constipated or he didn't like the pitch.
pick, Ty Simpson goes 13 overall to a team that was a eyelash from the Super Bowl.
Shocking to me when, like, Mackay Lemon's there to be taken.
When you talk about, they might trade or get rid of Devante Adams this offseason.
I couldn't believe.
Like, we all, we all picked Mackay Lemon to the Rams.
None of us picked Ty Simpson at 13 to the Rams.
He hadn't even spoken to Sean McVeigh before.
So that is actually not true.
There was a report of a secret meeting.
So here's what happened.
Top.
The way that this has.
gone down. That's what I would say too. Has been a roller coaster. What happened was the first press
conference, you had Sean McVeigh just looking like his dog died, very unhappy, short answered,
not like you've ever seen him before. The next day he comes out to the press conference,
jokes around, brings it up right off the bat about why he was upset, what was happening. And he
basically said the truth is that was out of respect for Matthew Stafford. He didn't. He
not want to go out there and sit down and look overjoyed about the future.
This is Stafford's team.
He wants to project it that way.
And then it came out, you know, they were talking about, oh, they had never even met.
Shaw McVeigh just really, they don't ever meet with who they draft pick.
Then Ty Simpson had an interview where he's talking about.
He was told from the Rams a lot about this.
He was given a script of what, like, how to behave and what to say and what to not say.
Oh, I didn't read that one.
And then, like, he had to keep everything under wraps about any of their meetings.
They had the secret meetings with McVeigh.
So this was, this was, at first, I thought this was a very GM over head coach situation.
I don't believe that to be the case anymore.
I think they were in sync.
And they're looking at the future of this franchise.
They don't usually have a pick.
I mean, they don't usually have a pick in the first round anyways, but let alone at the 13 spot.
they're usually, and project to have a very low first round pick.
So if you have any chance to help your franchise in the future that is,
I mean, you're on the edge, I can understand the argument of taking that.
And then you go, well, what about the prospect?
Is Ty Simpson good?
Well, let me tell you, this is a fact.
If Ty Simpson went to the Arizona Cardinals, he would not develop.
Correct.
He would not become a good NFL quarterback.
If Ty Simpson gets to sit for two years behind Matthew Stafford and get trained by Sean McVeigh,
I'll bet he ends up being a pretty good quarterback. That's my opinion.
I don't think there's anything wrong with any of that. I think that's all true.
I think it's a shocking pick when your team is on the edge of success.
I also think it's a little bit funny when it's like, oh, you never get a pick at 13.
So now that we're at 13, we're going to take a guy that wouldn't have gone until the end of the round.
We're going to take him at 13 because we have that pick.
That part shocked me too.
I think, you know, maybe Arizona was very vocal about trading up to 25 and you had to do it.
Yeah.
But there's every chance for him to succeed.
We don't know when that will be.
It might be a couple of years away.
It doesn't do any good to debate how, you know, predicated it is.
He's a ram.
That's what he is now.
I took him in the second round of our dynasty draft because I am building for 2028.
And I'm like, I'm going to take a shot at a quarterback that could be the starter on the Rams with McVeigh in two years.
I don't blame, especially the build of your team going with him a little bit earlier than I think he'll go in most single quarterback drafts.
I really like the pick and is the Aaron Roder stuff we just read at the top of this show where the team is being held ransom by an old busted quarterback.
They know the time of Stafford is coming to an end sooner than later.
Be prepared for it.
This is, to me, it's like, this is nothing like Kirk Cousins getting the bag of money and then them drafting Michael Penix.
This is a, it's nothing like.
This is more like the Jordan Love move.
This is where, yeah, that did piss off Aaron Rogers, but look where the Green Bay Packers are now because of that.
Okay, but here's the counter argument to that.
And I think where Andy saying this is a bad draft.
This is a very similar situation to what happened with Jordan Love, Aaron Rogers.
You literally have the MVP this year in Matthew,
Stafford, you're close to a championship, right?
Yeah.
If you rewind the tape to 2020, we can say, well, Jordan Love was a good pick.
That would help their franchise.
They're good.
But in 20, maybe they win the Super Bowl.
In 2020, they were in the championship game, and they were a hair away from winning that.
And they passed on T. Higgins in that draft to get Jordan Love.
You're telling me that maybe you don't win that if you ended up with T. Higgins like
McCoy Lemon?
And you do, you still have to, like, I know McVeigh, he's not going to be a, he's not
necessarily going to be a miracle worker for everybody
at quarterback. Like, what's
the ceiling for Ty Simpson in reality?
Is this pick going to look more like the
Michael Pinnock's pick? Or is it going to look
or can he pick it? Or
somebody in the first round that just didn't develop?
Or is it going to be the future of your
franchise? That's where I think people
debated whether Simpson was worth... If everybody
believed in Simpson, he would have gone in the top five.
Right. So that's where it's going to be interesting
from a fantasy perspective. I bet they
all believe in Ty Simpson now.
All those teams that the
The card is like, wait, McVeigh, you like him that much?
Oh, crap.
Fantasy losers of this draft is the insanely deep and now probably useless tight-end room
that has Colby Parkinson who scored five times last year.
Tyler Higby, who came back from injury.
Terrence Ferguson, who they drafted and, you know, believe in.
Davis Allen has flashed.
Now they draft Max Clare in the second round.
They live for tight-ins.
And he's a good tight-in.
Max-Clair is like a good tight-end.
Betts is very excited for, or was at least very excited for him. What a terrible landing spot. Good
for the Rams, a good pick, a good player, but I don't know how they're going to use all five of
these tight ends. Like, there are, there's Tyler, there's Tyler Higbee retirement rumors floating
around. So I mean like, maybe not this year. And then is, what's the contract situation for like
Kobe Parkinson's. Parks had just got a big contract. Did he? I mean, I felt like he was on the,
Kyle is he on the last year.
But the, I think,
I think maybe they're the, yeah,
so Colby and Alan are free agents in 2027.
For this year.
This is their, because this is their new way of doing the offense,
so they want to make sure that they're stocked.
For this year, I think that you just have to avoid
all tight ends there.
Yes, I think that's.
They didn't do anything to get wide receiver.
So if you don't talk about fantasy winners,
there you go.
Devante Adams is still on this roster.
And he'll catch a bunch of touchdowns.
Seattle.
They did it.
They spent the first round pick on Judarian Price.
Wild.
As expected.
Jardians in the first.
Yes, he was a very popular pick to there.
Andy, you believe that they would do it.
I say wild of a first round pick on a running back with that level of production is.
That level of production has not, I mean.
That's crazy to me.
I'll say is that unanimously
from pretty much the jump
until the day of the draft
it was pretty unanimous that Price
was the number two prospect in this entire
in the mock draft world, yes. Well, not just in our
world, but in the NFL world. There wasn't a
move for Emmett Johnson or Jonah Coleman
to pass him. It was pretty unanimous
from people's perspective is that Price was the
second best talent.
I think that's what pushed him.
Not that he was the second best, but the gap between
him and everyone else
is what pushed him up into the first. Whereas, like,
if we don't get him, we don't see a player that can come in and be in a really important
role for our team.
Yeah.
This is the short drafted Jonah Coleman.
Yeah, you and me agree.
However, for fantasy purposes, this is an incredibly important pick.
The Seahawks, Charbonnet is not going to be ready week one.
Charbonnet will most likely be starting on the pop.
It might be the end of the year before he's.
I projected him for eight games played.
Yeah.
So you're talking about a team.
that wants to run the ball that's successful, literally Super Bowl champions coming in.
And so that's what you got to do.
He is going to get the rock a lot.
And he doesn't even have to succeed in order to get the rock more and more and more.
We saw that with Charbonnet.
They just, they will do it.
They'll say we are committed to handing this ball off.
Yeah.
I mean, Charbonnet is a fantasy loser from the draft with Price being drafted there.
Emmanuel Wilson, the free agent acquisition, a loser in the draft.
You know, Judarian Price is a winner.
You know, the fantasy community that needs a relevant rookie to step up to the plate,
if you draft them, you're going to get snaps.
And that's pretty much what you can say about that.
Big winner here, Eli Lilly, Jardians in the first.
I think the comp to Josh Jacobs is perfect for what we saw limited Josh Jacobs.
I mean, he was the last one that has had under 700 receiving or rushing yards in a final season
and then get drafted that high.
I think that comp's perfect.
I think Price is a great running back.
I think he'll succeed there, especially because of how he's going into such a perfect situation.
It's kind of the opposite of what Jeremiah Love has to do, where I feel like Love has,
he has to carry a lot of the responsibility for that offense now in Arizona.
And I think Price just gets to go do his thing.
He's got other players that can come in.
They won't have Charbonnet right away, but George Hollani will be getting snaps.
At least Jacobs had a receiving profile, though.
Oh, I know.
There's no receiving profile here at all.
I think what, five catches or something.
And Price, I mean, jumped.
And I think he's pretty locked in at the 105 in your rookie drafts.
Yeah, for sure.
Like, because Concepcion went to the Browns,
you're like, and it's going to, you would have to project it's going to take a little bit of time,
even if KC does pan out to be a good player.
I would take him 105.
The New York Giants did not end up spending the early picks that I had thought they would spend on offense
with a Jordan Pyson or a Jeremiah.
I love who never felt to them.
Instead, they went defense.
and offensive tackle, cornerback in the second,
and their one offensive splash was Malachi Fields in the third round,
who is a monster of a man.
I hate this.
You hate the pick?
I hate it because this was the spot that I was using all of my willpower
to get one of the bigger wide receivers as in like the higher end guys.
And it's like Malachi Fields is, he's big.
No, I'm not physically.
I mean, you know, it's not that he's a bad person.
players just things didn't go nearly as well as he had hoped this year he had kind of you know
his draft stock fell and but i i will be interested in a giant's wide receiver malachi fields
finds a great landing spot here being with jackson dart and really it's malic neighbors and a bunch
of jags i mean they they don't like darius slayton at all they're likely there as a past
and so they did add darnel mooney in the offseason don't forget that as well yeah fields is a prospect
that I was ready to be out on.
See, that's what I mean.
Before the draft, I was ready to be out on him.
I am fine taking a shot now with this landing spot.
Cam Scataboo, big winner of the draft.
Oh, yes. Yes, yes, Cam.
Oh, the people.
The people are thrilled.
The people love it.
It's a big deal.
And I'm going to go out and just say Malik Neighbors is a winner of the draft
because what I didn't, my biggest fear this offseason with neighbors
was the combination of a high profile exciting wide receiver.
landing and him missing a few games.
And again, his time with Jackson Dart is non-existent,
which means that if he misses a few games and Jordan Tyson becomes the
the dude for Jackson Dart, it's great for Dart. It's not great for neighbors managers.
And that would have worried me a little bit. Neighbors, if anything, you look at the offseason
and you say, well, you subtract Wendell Robinson's billion targets and you replace it with
Mooney and Malachi Fields. It seems like the targets will be just fine for Malikai neighbors.
But, man.
Just imagine them.
We almost have the world, guys, the Giants.
Malik neighbors and Jordan Tyson.
I think you're saying this from the perspective of Jackson DART.
Yes.
But I actually think that.
Oh, it would have been nasty.
I think that the offensive tackle is as big a help for Dart.
If you're not going to take a wide receiver.
Dart is a winner here because they did add a wide receiver on day two and got an offensive tackle.
I like what they did.
The commanders.
Maui Noah.
You're talking about the tackle?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
No, I like, for what it's worth, broadly, I like what the Giants did in the draft.
I think it was a good draft.
Washington, they spent a third round pick on Antonio Williams.
Again, Washington was rumored to be in the running back game, and to be, which they did,
they got probably a steal on Ketron Allen in the sixth round.
You mean like Ketron Allen is going to steal their money?
How do you mean?
Because he's not that good.
Oh, you don't like him?
No.
Oh, I got you.
Yeah, that was a shot at him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Take that.
That was an insult.
Right.
Two.
Where did Nick Singleton go?
Where did Singleton go?
Fifth round?
Yeah.
Did he go ahead of K. Tronnell?
Antonio Williams' wide receiver in the third round.
Again, Washington was one of those teams we thought maybe we'd use number seven overall to go after.
They could have taken Jordan Tyson, right?
It tells me a little bit about their plans, maybe with Brandon Ayuk, that they did not prioritize another big name.
Because if you put.
Sure.
If you put Brandon Ayyuk with Terry McLaren with Chigua with Antonio Williams with
Ben Sennett.
I hear you loud and clear, brother.
Yeah.
Yeah, you got it.
So Antonio Williams, I mean.
I am the Senate.
Did you, he worked Ben Sennett into that.
He did.
This draft.
I mean, we are talking about the commanders.
Third year breakout.
Traylon Berks too, man.
Your guy, Jay.
Oh, yeah, dude.
I mean, AJ Brown, who?
I think this is a great landing spot for Antonio Williams.
He's shot up my dynasty rankings.
the GM has come out and talked so much about why they like Antonio Williams, targeting Antonio Williams.
The opportunity that he finds himself in is great. I mean, if Brandon I.U. shows up, that will
nerve it a little bit. But as of now, he has a real opportunity to be the wide receiver two for a good offense.
That's hard to find yourself in that situation. You expect Jane Daniels to be good.
Terry McLaren's the one, and they really need someone else to step up.
So Antonio Williams right now, I mean, he is my number 12 ranked rookie.
So he is the back of the first round for me.
Catron Allen will have an opportunity, whether you like him or not.
This backfield did not add other pieces.
Please refer to Catron by his chosen name.
Fat man.
Oh, that's right.
That's right.
You don't know about this one, Andy?
This one's real.
That's not a joke.
bad insult. No, no, no, no.
It's not a joke. It's not our nickname.
Oh, I will call him that. Yeah.
If he would like Fat man.
We honor and respect these players.
Yeah, Travis A. Chan Jr. Rumblei. Rumballi.
Fat man. And Fat man. Oh, this, I like him more.
What a gift, Ketran.
His mama calls him fat man. It does make me like him more.
Yeah. Fat man Allen. Mama calls him fat man. That's where the name came from.
Bill Kroski and Fatman in that backfield?
And Crod!
No, he's gone.
Jason.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Welcome to 2026.
I just was excited on the names.
I know.
I know.
You just got to be faithful.
There you go.
Chikori Crosky married is a winner, by the way.
Yes.
Because you did not end up with the Jeremiah Love situation.
I thought maybe J.C.M's window was completely shut.
It was possible.
And it seems like they're willing to have him in a committee with Rashad White.
I can't wait for.
Rashad White to be the clear leading back again and be good for fantasy.
There's one major problem there. He's busy for Rashad White.
Yeah, he's not good at running. It might. It just, so people are aware,
Antonio Williams did run 93% of his routes from the slot last year. So that, you know,
you might have a Jaden Reed problem with his production. Traylon Burks, I think they gave him money,
right? And he's going to come back. Jalen Lane's still on the roster. Van Jefferson, I think,
is still on the roster.
Can't cut that guy.
Can't cut that guy.
They did say goodbye to Debo, though, right?
So Debo's gone.
Debo, and nobody even knows if he's anywhere.
Yeah, I haven't heard of Pee Pee is technically a free agent.
I heard it too.
What?
It sounded like I haven't heard a Pee peep.
Peep, what are you, the roadrunner?
Yeah, that's it.
Dallas.
Where did you hear Pee Pee Pee Pee.
They heard Mike.
Oh, you got a bunch of chielder.
I can't find Devo's peepe.
What?
Anywhere.
No, that's not what anyone said.
Thank you.
Oh, thank you.
Look at that wall.
Look at that magic Mike wall.
Nobody came close to saying that.
Oh, one of us did.
One of us said it.
You did.
So, so there you go.
Take a lap.
Take a lap.
The Dallas Cowboys.
Cowboys, they did. Put them on the wall and we're done. Yeah, I mean, they went defense in this
draft. The news. Which is bad news for fantasy. You want to say who's a fantasy loser? We are.
Yeah, because Caleb Downs is awesome. Oh, I love him. And he's going to make him. Malachi Lawrence.
A big difference on this defense. The only offensive stuff in this draft was really
the news as to whether or not C.D. Liam, or I'm sorry, George Pickens was going to sign his
franchise that we did sign he didn't we talked about it last episode
he could end up holding out into the season
more optimism when you didn't like mckeye lemon went in the first round
to philadelphia that made you say well there's a plan there
there wasn't a plan in these draft picks to replace george pickens i'll tell you that
that is absolutely true and mckeye lemon could never have gone
there to the eagles their division mate if the cowboys had not moved down given them
that pick speaking of the eagles
Multiple years ago, you had
Yeah, DeVante Adams.
No, C.D. Lamb.
They drafted Citi Lamb when they were on the clock.
This was still, Cooper was still like the good version of Dallas, Amari Cooper.
We didn't think they would take Citi Lamon.
They just said, this is the best guy on our board.
So I would believe that if they thought that highly a Mikey Lemon,
they would have just taken him.
Yeah, they could have made the statement to George right there, and they didn't.
Philadelphia did take Mackay Lemon with the 20th overall picks, stealing him from the clutches of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And good for you, Mackay.
You don't have to go, Will, Howard, Drew, or Aaron Rogers this thing.
The first two picks, offensive weapons, Mackay Lemon and Eli Stowers, both values.
Both could make instant impacts, although I would imagine those of you drafting Stowers in Dynasty League's
to wait a year to get major production.
Dallas got it was brought back and was very productive in this offense.
I'd be shocked if they would just hand the reins to stowers.
But here we go.
We got some actual weapons for a team that may lose AJ Brown soon.
I mean, that's what the signal here was they are losing AJ Brown.
Like that's what it said.
They trade up to get a wide receiver in the first round after all of the,
I don't even know if it's rumor.
So it's just reported that on June 1st, there's a trade that's going to happen with the Patriots, TBD.
But when you then go and grab McIllum and Eli Stowers, it's like, oh, yeah, we see you are working on your offense post A.J. Brown.
It's strange because, I mean, maybe this will be a minority opinion.
I don't think you're a better offense with McIllum and Eli Stowers than you are with A.J. Brown this year.
So I think that that'll be an interesting way when we're projecting Philadelphia.
for the fantasy output of Jalen Hurts in this offense,
which struggled tremendously last year,
was not a high pass falling offense.
I think there will be a little bit of a transition period.
Mikai Liman is certainly not built the same way that AJ Brown is
or to serve the same role.
Stowers is a monster.
We all love him.
Dante Van Wicks had a two-week window of being kind of
maybe important.
That is gone in Philadelphia.
And Jaylen Hertz benefits from at least adding more weapons
because if you just took AJ Brown away,
we'd be very scared about this.
Yeah, this is very good for Jalen Hertz
and for Dynasty version of Jalen Hertz as well
because Michaelim and Eli Stowers rookies,
they will get better.
And I think that those two are great players.
So smart franchises draft great players.
All right, we're going to take another break
and jump into the NFC North.
This one, we got two more whole divisions, guys.
Did you know that?
Well, we'll be able to go pretty quick on some of these.
Well, how about the Lions?
That's one of them.
Start there.
They didn't really do anything impactful.
You could say Isaiah Pacheco was a fantasy winner.
They didn't, you know, Mike had picked Gedarian Price to Detroit as a surprise.
They spent a fifth round pick on a wide receiver.
I think that means they feel really comfortable with Amun Ra, Jameson, James, and Isaac Tuslaw.
And we're moving on.
Yeah, they did get a tackle with their first pick, which is in.
Whoa, that one scared me.
Yeah, because you're not the one pushing the buck.
button for once. It was also like,
yeah, it's terrible. Awful.
Second seconds after I said to slop.
Yeah. I was giving you time to do the right thing.
Oh, that was, oh. But yeah, they have
I got scared too, Mike. I got places on me that are tight. That shouldn't be tight.
Speaking of Debo.
Yeah, anyways, their offensive line has gotten worse from the
incredible offensive line of the last, you know, of a couple years ago. But first
round pick on a tackle is good. Minnesota. Minnesota did not end up
drafting a running back where we thought they might.
In fact, they had back-to-back picks where we were almost certain that Jonah Coleman would be a Minnesota Viking.
They brought out five top 30 visits for running backs.
And usually...
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
More?
Nope.
Nope.
No, what?
Oh, no, I was saying nope to each one.
Oh!
I thought I was saying something.
Yeah, I did too.
Nope, no.
Nope, no, no.
Yeah, I got it right.
Yeah, there you go.
But usually that's like an 80% clip to take a running back well before.
they did. They wait until the sixth round.
And they got, yeah, Claybourne there.
So yeah, Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, fantasy
winners, moving on. Green Bay,
moving on. Now, Green Bay, I mean, it was cornerback,
defensive tackle, defensive end center, cornerback.
You know, again, pretty good endorsement
of Matthew Golden and Christian Watson on this offense.
You didn't spend anything on any more wide receivers.
yet you lost Wicks and Dobbs.
Yeah, I mean, it's great news for the existing wide receiver core
and an opportunity for Matthew Golden to prove that he is who they wanted him to be.
And for Christian Watson to finally be a one in this offense
and for, you know, Marshaun Lloyd to step up and be a like relevant committee back.
No more Emmanuel Wilson and they didn't draft the running back.
So Green Bay, Josh Jacobs and who you have on the roster, you were the winners there.
the Chicago Bears.
Dot, dot, dot.
Yeah, not a ton.
I mean, there were, you know,
DeAndre Swift and Menangai are the guys at running back.
Yeah, we did not get a running back drafted.
That was the story.
I mean, this wasn't a deep running back draft class anyway,
so you kind of felt like they were safer.
But early in the off season, it felt like Swift was going to get cut
and wasn't even going to be a part of this team.
And now I'm like, Swift is going to be exactly what he has always been,
a solid RB2 for fantasy for sure.
Well, we can talk about this one.
The New Orleans Saints,
6 and 11 last year with the eighth overall pick.
Jason called this one on his predictions.
Jordan Tyson of the Arizona State Sun Devils heads to New Orleans to join Crystal Lave,
to join Tyler Shuck.
What do we think about?
I mean, Tyson was my number one wide receiver in this draft class.
He remains my number one.
Yep, same.
What's funny is I don't know if he remains my number one anymore.
You like Tate Moore? I like Tate Moore at this point. My rookie rankings have Tate higher. But Tyson is a great landing spot. Great upside provided for Tyler Shuck. But, you know, Crystal Lave is still the dude there. My rankings clearly are going to show that. Yeah, I mean, this is wonderful. They desperately needed another pass catching option. Their second best catcher of the ball is probably Joanne Johnson before this draft. And that can't be good for your franchise.
so good for Tyler Shuck. I think Tyler Shuck. Also in the third round, Oscar Delp.
Oskar Delp La Jolla. Thank you. Yes. Yes. We both heard that during the draft when they
draft with the third pick, Oscar Delp and both Mike and I.
Not even in the same building. We are the dumbest. Yes, we are. Oscar Delp La Jolla.
He is not a, yeah, he's not a player that is going to threaten in the past catching game.
right now, but I'm just saying for Tyler Shuck for this offense, and they added, obviously, A. Chan, Jr. to this team.
I'm excited. I'm excited for the Kellynne Moore, Tyler Shuck, led Saints.
I'm super. For fantasy. I'm super, super excited. Alave and Jordan Tyson is, it's not Malik neighbors, Jordan Tyson, but it's still pretty nasty, and that'll be real fun. And then Bryce Lance, aka,
Tray Lance's brother who plays wide receiver.
And it's a wide receiver who has all of the athletic ability that Tray Lance had,
except we don't have to worry about him being a bad quarterback.
You don't have to throw it?
Yeah, he doesn't have to throw it.
He has to catch it.
So him and the fourth to bring an extra boost, you know, just athletically and field-stretching ability.
I'm real, real excited for the Saints.
All right.
Let's move on to Atlanta.
their one big offensive pick was a third round selection of Zachariah Branch.
Dudes very fast.
They do have a very weak depth chart.
So when you look at opportunities to break into the rotation,
you don't have to go very far.
You know, Johan Dodson and Zakias,
Zakiya's kind of pigeonholed into a specific role.
Branch could be as well.
We'll see how they use him.
You know, a round three pick, that's just fine for draft capital.
At Georgia last year, 51% of his routes were screens, which, so he's catching the ball at the line of scrimmage half of the time, which for fantasy football purposes, that is generally a big red flag, as in this person will never turn into a mega producer.
Not that he can't help the team, or maybe he evolves into a wide receiver two at some point, but he's going to be a high risk pick to,
despite being a third round guy. He's going to be a high risk, but he is also a high reward.
We talked about this on the Dynasty show this week. His ability, like, I think he is not going to
work out. These screen warriors in college don't translate to the NFL. I am guessing he will not be
a good fantasy player. But if he hits what his skill is, it is the Tyreekill-ish kind of stop-start
that no one else can do.
And so should he hit, it is, it's a scratcher ticket.
You know, it's like you're probably going to lose,
but if you win, you could win big.
That's what a scratcher ticket's about.
Which, to be fair, this year's draft,
you can't win if you don't play.
This year's draft where he's going in the late second,
third round of rookie drafts?
Yeah, sure.
It's all crap.
Go for upside.
Well, that's where I'm letting quarterback situations
determine my differentiator and a lot of rookie drafts,
where you just talked to
you just talked about Antonio Williams
well you got Jaden right like at least
there's that and in here
I get like the double whammy of you got a hit and then you
got a hit with crap a quarterback maybe
maybe but probably yes
you have crap uh Tampa Bay
eight and nine
fantasy winners for Tampa Bay
we didn't find another running back in this draft
that uh is a benefit
for Bucky Irving um
we didn't really have a whole lot
else going on other than the third round selection of
Ted Hurst. This is one of the deepest, even
with the departure of
Mike Evans, it's still one of the deepest
wide receiver rooms in the league with
Abuka and Godwin and McMillan and Tess Johnson,
Kate Otton soaking up targets.
I know you guys like Ted Hurst.
I don't know.
I like Ted Hurst. You need an injury to have
a rookie season. It's bad news for
oh, no,
I can't think of it. Tess Johnson.
Yeah. I think Tess will be
the odd man out. I agree. He would
be the odd man out. I thought Ted's played great last year. He was. He was very good. This is, like you said,
this is a very deep wide receiver core, but it is not full of firmly established. You've got
Godwin and you've got a Bucca. Those two guys aren't going anywhere based on draft capital and
contract. And then they've got a lot of other talent, but it's not anyone that is so established
that someone can't come in over the top. And be the three. Ted Hurst, well, be the three this year,
but Godwin, you know, at this age with the departure of Mike Evans. Ted Hurst is, I mean, he's
obviously not a Mike Evans, but he's a taller field stretching guy that can do
some of the same stylistic, you know, routes and, you know, losing Mike Evans matters
for this team. And they went out and they said, hey, day two, we're going to, we're going to
target Ted Hurst. They were Hursty. That, oh, I like it. I'm going to take a drink on that one.
I shouldn't. I'm, I'm Hurstie. Oh, man. Refreshing. Sometimes you, sometimes you say it, and then
the reaction, you're like, man, I really wish I wouldn't have.
There you go. I like
Ted Hurston. I like the landing spot. You've painted
the picture pretty well on an opportunity
to break through. It's not like,
you know, Ted's had 22 catches.
Jamie Millen was hurt and came back
and caught 12 passes. So it's not like those two guys
were dominators. I think they're both
good, but there is room
for the size of a player like
Ted Hurst to establish
some dominance. Carolina
offensive tackle, defensive tackle,
third round pick of Chris Brazel the second.
Brazzle.
Brazzle.
Brazzle dazzle.
Brazzled dazzle.
That's from Chicago.
These,
my musical theater.
Jeremy, you got me, right?
He's like, yeah, you're right.
He's like, you got it.
Nerds.
Chris Brasel, the second.
Third round pick.
I did think Carolina.
it would go after.
I know. That's all that it is.
I like his film. I like his production.
I like his measurables.
And then he's from Tennessee.
I'm out.
What was that? That was the Adonai Mitchell and Xavier worthy?
Jalen.
No, they were Texas.
Hyatt?
Oh, they were both Texas.
No, no. You're thinking of Jalen Hyatt.
What's wrong with that guy?
For some reason, Tennessee.
From last year, they just.
Tennessee is able to produce a lot of statistics that's
somehow are manufactured well in college and doesn't translate.
Brazel is a good player.
He is and he's the son of a former NFL player, which, you know,
so you know he's grown up knowing ball.
Day 2 draft capital goes to the Carolina Panthers who really need another weapon outside
of Teteroa.
Yeah, they have Jalen Coker, who will be healthy this year and has been productive.
They have Xavier League at your favorite player in football.
He's still there.
But there's an opportunity there for sure.
Chuba Hubbard.
Like we said, they didn't go after a running back.
It's good for Jonathan Brooks and Chuba Hubbard.
Trevor E.T.N. still there.
AJ Dillon's still there.
So that's going to be your backfield.
Any of their thoughts on Carolina?
I think it about does it.
Okay. We got through it.
We did it.
NFC winners and losers in the books.
What do we have coming up next week?
Don't we have some overreaction episodes coming up?
We do. We've got some things.
Players to forgive.
That's what I was going to say.
You got some producers to forgive.
Why do you think Papa Josh isn't here today?
We're not ready.
Yeah, I have not forgiven.
We're not ready to forgive him.
He's certainly not on vacation with his family.
Something he did.
We went golfing today.
We did.
You got back on the course.
People, I don't know why I didn't open with that.
You found the other half of your putter on whole nine.
Yes.
Like you pulled, he pulled it out of his bag.
I was trying to put a club in my bag and I was like, what is blocking this?
And then I reached in in the other half of my putter.
was in there. The long half. Yeah, the shaft.
The shaft of the putter. And then you left it like on the ground by some bird feathers.
So it looked like you had killed him. When we rolled up.
We left it for you guys. Yeah, we rolled up and we were like, someone murdered a bird.
Yes, exactly. That's what that's, that is what I did. We wanted you to believe that. We wanted you to see that I murdered a good time. You, you had a better time. Adjusting expectations? Not statistically. I had a better time emotionally. I had fun golfing with you.
Yeah, that's good.
That's good.
You know, we've had quite a few people reach out since we've started.
I will say this.
You know, because we're golfers now.
Yeah, we're total golfers.
Which, by the way, Mike came out today for the first time and how long has it been since you golfed?
Pre-pandemic.
Pre-pand-a-pac.
He played great.
Better than all of us.
Or so I've been told it.
I was not in his for some, but they're all bragging on it.
Unfortunately, I was. And he played great.
And how did you play out?
I did not play well.
This is what's unfortunate.
Like, we had a bet last week and about me versus you.
And we both played pretty poorly.
Yep.
And I played the same this week I did last week, but you played just much worse.
Terrible.
I would have smoked you.
Apparently I'm really motivated by $100 bill.
Hold on.
Your whole story right there was you played equally bad.
Exactly.
But you would have smoked him if he had just played worse than you.
Yes, like he did this week.
Is that too much to ask?
I don't know.
I don't know what it is.
I don't know what we do on the golf course,
but it's getting hotter in Arizona,
so who knows it will keep doing it.
You're right out there at a time.
