We're going to get into the mailbag, some of your voicemail questions. Starting point is 00:02:25 Obviously, people are in a lot of different leagues, but it looked like about 75% of people still had not drafted. That's great. That's smart. That's wise. Yeah, I mean, injuries are, they suck. It's been worse this year? No, it's actually been.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Is it normal? It is normal. And I hate to say this out loud. So far I got bad news for you Jason Jinks isn't real Yeah What you say in this
Starting point is 00:02:52 Into the microphone right now Oh really? We'll have no interest Oh really? Yeah really This year the injuries Have been absurdly lower Than in recent history
Starting point is 00:03:00 And I'm so happy about that That there will be so few injuries For this off season Let's see You think you got a lot of power I'm gonna find out this weekend I hope I don't Settle down Truman
Starting point is 00:03:14 I am not joking in Mike Truman shows in my head Yeah so a lot's going on Let's go ahead and jump right in Performance Climers Presented by GMC All right We're looking at players
Starting point is 00:03:37 Whose Average Rapposition has arisen In recent The last week or two Keenan Allen That one's kind of like duh I mean Keenan Allen's ADP Somewhere in the 14th round range and what do we think
Starting point is 00:03:55 I hate him you hate it I hate it so so much I realized as I've you hate Keenan Allen I hate that Keenan Allen sign with the Colts I love Keenan Allen I really genuinely believe Keenan Allen's going to be their
Starting point is 00:04:09 like number one wide receiver target right off the bat week one and that's what I hate because I was pretty high on Josh Downs and the more that I've really looked at who this affects the most it's clearly Josh Downs. Like Tyler Warren's going to get his.
Starting point is 00:04:26 When Alec Pierce comes back, he's going to be on the outside. We know he's going to be on the outside. Keenan, while being a slot player through his career, he has been more of an outside guy the last couple of years with the bears. He went and played actually 60, 40 outside to inside. He can do it. And so my whole thing is like, I wanted to see Josh Downs in two wide receiver sets. And I don't, I'm going to.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Yeah, they didn't want to. They did. they saw it. Yeah, maybe he wasn't good enough. That's the thing. It's a tough thing to ask a player to do that's been in the league for a long time that has that physical size to go and become, you know, reliable at a position you're not used to.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I don't think it is solely an indictment on Josh Downs. They don't have depth. Alec Pierce is not back yet. They need another wide receiver, period. Yeah, they do. The relationship here between Stuyken and Jim Bob Cooter and Keenan Like this was. Is there a chance it's still downs? I think there is a chance, but Keenan's going to get his. I mean, he's after this year,
Starting point is 00:05:31 if he gets 50 receptions, at least 50 receptions, book it. He moves behind Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald as number three all time. That's, that's crazy. So he'll get his for fantasy, where do you draft him? What do you expect he's going to do? I think if I'm in a full PPR league, Keenan Allen's going to be a definite top 24 wide receiver for the first month. I don't know, man. I think that maybe. Maybe that's the case. I don't look at Keenan Ellen as a player. I'm targeting in drafts personally.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Me either. Because I don't target older PPR-wide receivers in the super late rounds. I target young rookie upside Concepcion, Lemon, you know, those Tyson. Tyson will be earlier. But just anybody in that later round, Jacoby Lane, who we're going to talk about in a second. I just want a shot at seeing if I can find gold. Like Keenan Allen at, I mean, to your point, if he's good at the beginning, it will decrease with the return of Alec Pierce. Which we did just from Stephen Holder, Colts wide receiver, Alec Pierce, is expected to return to practice this week if all goes to playing.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Well, that's great. Oh, it's funny because I saw something this morning that was an announcement that Alec Pierce won't practice today. Well, today. Both can be true. Yeah. It could still be there. this week. That's good though. That's great for, I mean, they paid that guy a lot of cheddar. Mike, do you, are you, do you see Keenan on any of your teams? Certain builds, I think there's, there's definitely a point where, especially like Jay said,
Starting point is 00:07:05 when you're in PPR and you're just getting those, those free points, but, you know, we make the joke all the time of like, he could be a boat. It's like, he can't be a boat. And now it might be a rowboat at this point, but which is like, it was like, it was. You aren't going to sink. Yeah, you're not plugging walls. You're not drowning. Yeah, but it's going to be a workout. Keenan or Diggs?
Starting point is 00:07:26 It's going to be a workout. I go. I would take Stefan Diggs. That's how I lean too with the opportunity with Jaden Daniels. Jacoby Lane, aforementioned Jacobi Lane, rookie wide receiver for the Baltimore, Ravens. He has moved up about a round or two.
Starting point is 00:07:40 He was a third round pick, 6, 4, 200. I watched a lot of Jacoby Lane film over the last month and a half. Why is that? He's on my dynasty team. don't act don't act like your Kyle Williams excitement isn't fueled by your dynasty rostering of Kyle Williams. Sir, I would never.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Yeah, I know how this works. But yeah, you pay a little extra close attention to players. Yeah, you do. Of course. Especially on a team like mine where I'm like, do I have any players? But to me, it's just been really exciting to watch him work. His highlights, his collegiate highlights are awesome. Jacobi Lane, you know, so far been making plays.
Starting point is 00:08:22 He's one of the few guys like Pat Bryant that has made headlines in camp. And you have a situation now with, look, Zay Flowers got paid, Mark Andrews is older. Rashad Bateman not only has never really materialized into anything of value for fantasy, but now he's dealing with the domestic violence situation. From the summer. Yeah. Like. Yep.
Starting point is 00:08:46 And so. Baltimore Beach. reporters. What are you doing? This was out. This was out there. Well, okay. I think the most recent, I mean, I thought the news broke like a week ago. Yeah. If it were out, if it was out, look,
Starting point is 00:08:59 I'm pretty much the lawnmower man here. I live on the internet and I didn't see it. So they were not really getting the word out. Yeah, I mean, the, I literally had a claim in because there's like, the
Starting point is 00:09:15 day before that started going, like, public, there was a report. It's like, hey, the Houston Texans are looking at trading for Kayshan Booty or Rashad Bateman. Right. I had a waiver claim in in our dynasty league for Rashad Bateman. And then you canceled it? And then it's like, oh, this is all the sun coming out. It's a, yeah, the news that I'm reading is that maybe it was out there and we all missed it. It said following reports on Friday of Ravens receiver, Rashad Bateman's June arrest, the NFL started launching an investigation three days ago. So the club has been in contact with the league regarding the matter, which is under a report.
Starting point is 00:09:47 of you in the personal conduct policy, he could be suspended unpaid six games that may need to have the legal process complete for the NFL to do that? Yeah, he won't start suspended, but I'm curious, does it force Jacoby Lane onto the field sooner rather than later? Because he's a third rounder. We know historically the trends are guys who are going that late. They're just, they don't play very many. snaps at the beginning of the year. It's towards the second half. But if you are bracing that
Starting point is 00:10:23 Rashad Bateman isn't the future, he's going to, he will have his own problems in the future. Maybe we get Jacoby on the field sooner. Great quotes from the team James and Hensley came out on August 8th and said in 27 years covering the Ravens. I've never seen a rookie have a training camp like Jacobi Lane's. Every day Lane produces a highlight making catch and day. He has Derek Henry leaping in the air in celebration. Declan Doyle, their offensive coordinator, we thought, What we thought about him, it just continues to show up. The guy I was around that has hands like his that he reminds me of is Michael Thomas. He's definitely got amazing hands.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Let me ask this one. Yeah, the hype train is going. We haven't really seen any wide receiver two with Lamar Jackson be very relevant. And obviously, day three picks are. Well, we've seen a wide receiver and a tight end be relevant. So is it like is a pass catchers. Yeah, for sure. And this is a new offense as well.
Starting point is 00:11:22 But with the data that we have of like day two and day three wide receivers starting slow after this trade for Kayshan Booty, a veteran who's going to almost certainly be the wide receiver two on the field, would you rather draft Booty or would you rather draft? Oh, that's a good question. Jacoby Lane. I don't think, I mean, I saw some stuff this morning about Booty. the team might not even see him as a starter. And so I would take the shot on the younger Jacoby Lane establishing himself in a new offense
Starting point is 00:11:53 with a new head coach and offensive coordinator and system that we don't really know what they're going to unveil, but we know that we trust Lamar Jackson more than we trust C.J. Stroud to make something out of Booty. I mean, Xavier Hutchinson could very well be the starter from day one in Houston. Booty, it doesn't, you know, he's a last year of his deal, right? Like so do they use them? I don't know. It's also a pretty late transition to get things into gear for it.
Starting point is 00:12:19 It's a good point. Yeah. The last name in performance climbers, Mike Washington Jr. What a week it was for Mike Washington Jr. And all the hype there. I wish we had like real-time data. Of just like his draft spot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Here's what we'll start with with Mike Washington. This is a rookie running back for Las Vegas. Mike, you I think really liked what you saw on film from him. No, he was, no, it's more of the opposite of the, his metrics and stuff didn't fully match what he should be doing. Like, he's 6-1-220 and he is, like, he's the 1% of the 1% when it comes to athleticism. So you expected more out of, at least I expected more out of him. And we, you know, in the process, it was, oh, boy, this guy just ran a 4-33, like, he's going to get real steamed up in the draft, and he didn't. So I think that that was the part that we, that I
Starting point is 00:13:20 liked of, okay, he's going to a spot where he doesn't have to be the guy right away, because I don't think he's ready to, to be a, like a full-time pro starter. It was funny when Gentie, though, yes. When Gentie seemed like he went down, Underdog put out, like, how low Gentie went in some drafts and how high Mike Washington went in some drafts. And I believe Mike Washington was drafted at like 37 over all. Holy balls. What? Yeah. And it's, it's, um, what? I want to, it's the combination of the exciting long speed play in the preseason with,
Starting point is 00:13:56 oh, you, you're the only guy in starter somehow. But, but this is like, this is a very bad situation, a team that you don't expect to score a lot and, you know, a day three running back without production. His profile isn't really good. Like AJ Dylan, it reminds, me of that a lot where it's like AJ Dylan had a combine like Derek Henry. He's not Derek Henry or he would have been in college. Mike Washington has a combine like the best of him, but his, you know, is...
Starting point is 00:14:24 Well, let's do the exercise then. Okay. Let's pretend Genti did have a season-ending injury. Where does he actually belong in terms of starters? And I think you start to have that conversation. You have it right around the Bayshall-Tooten area because if you knew Mike Washington was going to be a starter, you know, Tutin, Price, Warren, Stevenson, these are committee situations.
Starting point is 00:14:46 I think Washington would be a committee as well. But I think what you're saying is right. But then it was compounded by the long runs and success in the preseason, the explosiveness, those physical gifts on display. I mean, I'm sure you're taking them over Chuba. I'm sure you'd probably take them as a starter. Would you take them over Ramondre or Warren? I mean, probably. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I think I would rather have the better off. Maybe Warren. Remandre is on a good offense and Warren is a, I think I would take Warren ahead as well. Do you think Mike Washington deserves to be drafted? Yes. You do? Yeah, because we right now. Right now. Right now, at the very least right now, I mean, week one, Genty is rumored to not, we don't know that he's going to be back for week one. The last I saw is it's potential. He misses week. one. So this is where... And the last was like, we're hearing it's a low ankle sprain
Starting point is 00:15:45 as compared to high. Which would be good. Which that's, but that's the thing is we're hearing. Why can't we get an official? Because they don't have to really report that stuff. Mike Washington deserves to be drafted. The preseason has been solid.
Starting point is 00:16:00 There's a chance that Gentie misses time. And based off of what this is, I'm not saying Gentie won't be like the main. for the Raiders. But it's like based off of what Kubiak just did in Seattle, Mike Washington might be in the plans to be someone who's getting like 35 to 40% of the, of some rushing attempts here. If you build zero RB, that's exactly the player you want to take it. Tyler Alger and Mike Washington,
Starting point is 00:16:27 those like guys who, yeah, exactly. Like they might be great starters if those are your. And if it, if it is a high ankle sprain, like he'll be out multiple weeks and then he gentie won't be ready to go on that first like the first couple weeks. That was performance climbers brought to you by GMC. We are professional grade. We're going to take a break real quick and then we're going to come back and do some news. Get into the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:16:59 News and notes from around the league. The Texas traded for former Patriots Wide Receiver, Kishon Booty. They've been trying to get that booty out of town. What do you guys make of that? Them trading him? No, no. Just that all of the news,
Starting point is 00:17:15 the offseason was like, Kishon Booty. he wants a trade. He, and then it sounded very much like, oh, well, the team is, they're quite open to trading him away. I mean, he was not like a dominant part of their offense last year, but I think he showed that he belongs on a football field. He would have easily been there. He was a great deep threat.
Starting point is 00:17:37 He would have been a starting wide receiver for them. I feel like it was the final year of the contract situation that is hanging over it. They have a lot of other weapons. What's wild to me. But why not ride it out? I think this was four booters. I think this was, I think they are doing booty a solid. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Because when they, when they, they're going to write, oh man, write it out. Not our fault. Yeah. Kishon, when, when Kishon requested a trade, it was like, you signed Romeo Dobbs. Well, he was upset for sure. Yeah, you signed Romeo Dobbs and then you sign, you get trade for AJ Brown. You're like, oh, I don't have the opportunity to thrive. He doesn't want to be there.
Starting point is 00:18:12 He wants a place where he can. And then with the injury for the Texans, it's like, Okay, he's at least got the opportunity. Maybe Hutchinson starts the season as the second wide receiver. I think Booty is a better wide receiver. And so in Booty's mind, he's got the... How many times can he say Booty in one minute? In Cajon Booty's mind, I think he's excited about the opportunity to thrive in a situation where he doesn't have to overtake two other people ahead of him.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Here's something that's not been said. And it'll open up opportunities for Kyle Williams and DeMario Doug. and some other past catchers. What's wild to me is that we're sitting here. This is the team that went to the Super Bowl and the Patriots. All the, you know, schedule notwithstanding, amazing season, MVP candidate and Drake May. And two of his primary targets last year that were significant contributors to this team were Kishon Booty and Stefan Diggs that are gone.
Starting point is 00:19:08 The past catchers are great names with Dobbs and A.J. Brown. But we actually haven't seen them together, right? So like it's just a little bit unique to me to have a top five offense passing wise, reset all of your past catchers and then expect it to just work perfectly from day one. I thought somebody shared a tweet and I put it in the chat somewhere. Maybe you guys can find it. It was basically something I would love to actually see for all the teams. And when, you know, when people speculate about preseason numbers, I tell you, I hate completion percentage. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:43 They should be trying new stuff. They should be failing in preseason. hate it when they go through and they're like me in camp in camp yeah but the numbers of like it was a list of the receptions by pass catchers from new england caught from drake may caught by from drake may in the entire training camp and it was like a j brown was number one dubs was number two romandre was number three hunter henry was number four like boo he was way up on that list he was he was not as high but yeah it was uh j brown romeo dobs romay madre's Stevenson, DeMario Douglas, Hunter Henry, then Kishon Booty.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Don't worry, Trayvion's there just below Eli Raridon. But I would love to see that from every team to get a little bit of an idea of where these guys are going regularly in camp. Like, you want to ask me who the past catchers to roster are? I mean, it's Brown and Dobbs. And Dobbs is not getting nearly enough talk on a team that was a top-tier passing percentage offense. were sitting there, AJ Brown like Dobbs is sitting right there. I agree. I think the
Starting point is 00:20:51 news on Dobbs has just been kind of weird of there's been a couple days where it was like, oh hey, it's Romeo Dobbs day, but it kind of few and far between and then AJ Brown gets there and you know, there was talk at the beginning
Starting point is 00:21:07 of they're not fully connecting, but the stuff I've been reading lately is very, very positive for AJ Brown. It's for Dobbs is like how do they how do they actually put these wide receivers you know on the field is it the just
Starting point is 00:21:23 standard okay we got Brown and Dobbs are going to be on the outside and then Douglas will just be the slot player or are they going to move Romeo Dobbs where he'll get to do he'll play some big slots I think they've been because that would be humongous for dogs to be a little bit of the big slot which you see in the second you know target pecking order from camp
Starting point is 00:21:44 that that role is very valuable historically from the Patriots. So I'm open to Dobbs. Like, that's another name where it's like Dobbs or Jacoby Lane. I would rather have Dobbs. On the
Starting point is 00:22:00 on the booty to Houston side, I have so I have no interest in any way, shape, and form pre-Cashon booty in Houston from a fantasy perspective. He was on one of the best passing offenses in football last year, played a ton of snaps for them, and
Starting point is 00:22:15 still, you know, he had his splash games, but consistency-wise, it was, it was trouble. He's touchdowner boss, pretty much. To me, it's just, that's a tough thing to ask of C.J. Stroud and a defense and a running game offense. I don't know. I just, I don't care. I think Bouty will be, if anything, he's just, he'll be on the waiver show when Hutchinson inevitably is overtaken. Brees Hall on track to play week one. He was dealing with the groin. Must a must have a butterfly stretch. By the way, we did an embarrassing butterfly stretch analysis of all staff members yesterday. Some of you,
Starting point is 00:22:49 Papa Josh, impressive. Papa Josh must have tore those groins as a young man. Doesn't have them anymore. No restrictions. Needs to the ground. But on the other hand, Al Borland has work to do. I do. Not a butterfly that could really get off the ground, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:23:06 You know what I mean? That was a cat a caterpillar stretch. Yeah, you could. A lot of crisscross applesauce going on, eh? Oh, yeah. No, I love chairs. The news about Ashton Jensi's ankle sprain more low than high. That's good.
Starting point is 00:23:23 We'll see. More low than high. It's such a weird phrase. The high versus low is like different ligaments. It's not literally like a percentage of direction. I don't get it. Trayvon Henderson has been diagnosed with a low right ankle injury and will undergo further precautionary tests.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Malik Neighbors was wearing a non-contact jersey on Monday's practice. Reasonable to assume he will be ready for week one, according to John Harbaugh. That's big news. Chikori Kraski-Mir, injured is growing. Yeah. Thank you. Sorry. That was honestly embarrassing at this time.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Well, I was not be ready. I was reading because we have in Monday's practice, but I think I had read something that it actually happened last Thursday. Rashad White returned to individual drills. So there's a little flippy floppy of availability for the running back room. Trey Benson, set free by the Cardinals, released. What a great third round pick he was. I saw one play yesterday.
Starting point is 00:24:24 He had one play with Arizona that accounted for 11.5% of his total yards on the team ever. That's how utilized he was in Arizona. Dude could not stay healthy. Well, I mean, year one, he was buried behind James Connor, who at that point was still playing very good football. And then he couldn't stay healthy. If you're a Benson believer like I am, this was the only way forward. It's, I mean, we're, it's probably over. But if he stayed on the Cardinals, there was no path at all.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Michael Flores said Monday, Jeremiah Love is progressing in his recovery from a high ankle sprain and will remain sideline this week. Is that, now I know the rumors were the high ankle. Does that like an actual confirmation of it? I don't know. Okay. I saw it reported as high ankle, but I did too, but I thought it was, they were like, we're not sure because they're not saying anything.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I'm assuming there's also. degrees. Well, it's more high than low. Yeah. I just mean like there's got to be a worse or better. Yes, there are great. High ankle spray and grade wise. We had a mild setback for Keaton Mitchell who had missed practice on Sunday and Monday. I mean, he was flashing in the preseason. They want to utilize him, but if he can't stay healthy, which has been a problem for Keaton Mitchell. True. I mean, he missed an entire year in Baltimore
Starting point is 00:25:43 and had other injuries. That's something to pay attention to. You would love of Omari and Hampton to get some pass-catching third down work that would be going to Keaton Mitchell to concentrate it a little bit. That's the biggest concern. Brian Thomas Jr. is quote, all right. After falling on his shoulder, there was some news reports this morning that
Starting point is 00:26:01 All right. All right. That he was down and people were worried. And then this is exciting. This is terrible news for Michael Pennix. Kevin Stefanski said Michael Pennix and Tuotungo Vilo will split first team reps on Monday. I saw the stats. Penix, you've got to have a setback, brother.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Pinnix was four for eight. So you can start. Yeah. And Tua was 0 for three. Yeah. So all that. Man, that is, um, oh boy. What they wouldn't do for Sado do or Sanders.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Am I right? And then Alan Robinson. Hey. The target monster. The last time we over here I say that officially retiring, uh, he was a my guy for Mike in 2015. Oh, yes, he was. Yes, he was.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Jacksonville. That is. That was a good one. he led the league in touchdowns. Yeah, that was a great year. That was a pro bowl year for Alan Robinson. Alan Robinson, great player. Thank you for the, uh, didn't have the career.
Starting point is 00:26:56 I think we might have hoped from that point forward. No, no, he didn't. But the target monster was awesome. It got me, I believe, a league of record championship that year. You have, yes. He had that play down the sideline. Oh, yes, the saints. I think you said you.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I was in my boxers, high kicking in the living room. Yeah. Yes, sir. Remember. Title is mine. I guess you remember it too, huh? Let's do some mailbag. Mailbag.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Mailbag. Yeah. If you have a question for the show, go to the website. The Fantasyfoolers.com, click to submit a question button or dial our voicemail hotline. We have a couple of voicemails today. 302464 TFFB. We'll start with one of those. Hey, ballers.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Just wanted a quick question on a keeper that I have in an upcoming league. Should I keep Cam Scataboo with my ninth round? round pick, or should I keep Quinchon Judkins with my 16th round pick? Thanks. Love the show. Man, that's such a good question. Cam Scataboo for a ninth, Quinchon Judkins for a 16th. I think you've got to start with just who do you like more? Because the ninth round is where, you know, that's where I'll start taking quarterbacks. I'll start taking my late tight ends because the running backs and wide receivers there are, you know, they're not exactly the guys that are high odds to good. So if you, if you're like definitely on the scataboo side, I don't think the value from
Starting point is 00:28:23 9 to 16 is worth switching, but the question is which side are you on right now with the recent kind of vibes that it's not going to be the scataboo show. They bring in Najee. They, you know, the way that they've been talking, it just doesn't seem like he's going to be a three down back. Although Tyrone Tracy feels like he has really just zero down back. Oh, man. I mean, his. What happened? His preseason... I'll take Cam here.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Oh, and you're Mr. Judkins. Yeah. I'll take Cam here because you know what? You can talk a big game about not giving the ball to Cam Scataboo a lot, but when your alternative is to hand it to Devin, Singletary, Tyrone, Tracy, or the often Achilles, Naji Harris, who, by the way, this is not Naji from five years ago that was, you know, more of... Even five years ago wasn't great.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Exactly. That's my point is, like, we hear the name Naji, and we're like, my gosh, what a threat. Like last year, this was, Naji was the threat to Hampton, right? And so I think when push comes to shove and this team needs to get going, three, four weeks into
Starting point is 00:29:28 this season, I'd be shocked if Skatterwood who doesn't have the workload. I hope you are correct. I don't have a ton of faith in the coaching staff up in New York to make real good decisions with their offense. But of these... You want to know a little bonus to picking Cam here?
Starting point is 00:29:46 Please. You don't have to watch Watson. Yeah, that's a, look, it's Camp Scaboo for me. I want to watch the Giants. I think the Giants are going to be a good team this year, right? I don't know that we're going to necessarily love how Nagy implements everything, but I think their defense is underrated, and I believe that, you know, we haven't seen them with this many good offensive weapons in a while. Dart, if he's the real thing, you know, didn't get neighbors, has neighbors, didn't have Cam, has Scatteroo there. I really wish they still had Juan Dale. I feel like that's the missing. piece of that team is I wish they had Wondale neighbors likely Cam. I hope that like Malachi Fields and some of these other guys can step up. That's just the
Starting point is 00:30:26 one thing that sticks out. But I hope you're right. It'd be fun, right? Yeah. Are you taking Cam or Judkins? I'm going to take Scataboo. I believe that he's just so talented and I Judkins, I worry, won't have the pass catching rule, whereas
Starting point is 00:30:42 Scataboo is such a good pass catcher. Hey, Ballers. This is Dan and South offense. I want to see if you guys think I'm overreacting. I'm thinking about trading Judkins or Remindy Stevenson, but Stevenson being on what I feel is going to be a much better offense than Cleveland. What do you guys think about that? I appreciate it. Love the show. So this is trade, Quinn Sean Judkins for Romandre. Sir, I would, at first I would say, I don't think you're overreacting to believe the Patriots offense will be better than the Cleveland Browns. I'll start with that one. I don't think that's his overreaction. It's just, are you going
Starting point is 00:31:15 as far as saying I would rather, I mean, basically, would you draft Ramandre ahead of Judkins? Here's one thing I will mention to you when you think about this. On a points per game basis, Stevenson was better than Judkins last year. 11.6 to 11.2 fancy points per game. It's Ramondre. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking Ramandre. He just... Oh, there's plenty wrong.
Starting point is 00:31:42 I have the back-to-back in my rankings right now. Who do you have higher? I've got Quintan Judkins a spot higher than Ramandre right now. Yeah, I mean, I think it's, I think that's a, like Jason said, pick the guy you like the most there. I don't think that's a problem. If you have more conviction around goal line opportunities for Ramandre, because Watson hasn't sniffed a goal line in five years. We talk about, you know, when you're in a tier, that's when you use tiebreakers. And if you want to use the team, the environment as the tiebreaker, great, do it.
Starting point is 00:32:10 We did get a fun little update from Jordan Renan over there in New York. the unofficial giant depth chart for the finale just got released. Cam Scadaboo the starter. But listen to this. Here's the backup is. The RB2 is Tyrone Tracy or Naji Harris or Devin Singletary. That's the listed. Brother.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Have some backbone. Who knows who the backup is? The backups don't. You can't tell Tracy's the backup. No. Can his preseason has. Dan, da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da. Our next question comes in
Starting point is 00:32:49 entirely your fault and then fumbling in the red zone the next week. Not a good luck. No it's not. Not bright. There you go. All right. Our next question comes in from Preston in Utah. If you draft Josh Allen, is it worth targeting DJ more later in the draft to get that stack?
Starting point is 00:33:10 Yeah. I think so. I'm a big fan of. You're in now. I'm not necessarily in the sense that like I'm not personally taking a lot of DJ more. I see I'm not completely opposed like I was earlier. He's looked really good in camp. You know, it seemed like at his age, he had lost it with the bears.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Changing teams to a team that can do it without him. You know, they've done it the last couple of years. It seemed very uphill sledding to have DJ more work out. However, this offseason, DJ Moore's looked really good. I mean, I know we've gotten duped in the past from Alan Robinson looking great in camp and then he doesn't have it. So I'm fine letting DJ Moore go. But if I were to have already drafted Josh Allen, that's the place where I take DJ Moore personally. Would you go, would you rather do that?
Starting point is 00:34:02 Or would you just wait and have like a Dalton Kincaid Josh Allen stack? I mean, I love. Those are both things in the back of my mind. I think I prefer that one. manager in our upcoming draft is this like to split the difference on like with kincade or goddard or all those later round tight ends is like that'd be awesome to have the stack it'd be awesome to take a shot on dj more if he's around late i feel like he's going to get ignored in a lot of drafts i mean that could be an underrated stack for sure you're in the late fifth or in the uh
Starting point is 00:34:31 early six i'm trying to pull up 80p real quick because it's what what is your opportunity cost to buy that stack you're talking you're passing on Probably not a lot. Jamo Williams. Wait, what? Luther Burden, Bayshall Tootin, Judarian Price. Oh, I might not have DJ Moore.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Yeah, that's, that's your name to. You shouldn't have said any of that stuff. Like if you take- Was that fifth round? It's late fifth, early sixth round. They're talking, uh, this is a sleeper ADP. Yeah, DJ Moore needs to be back of the sixth.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Yes. Yes. So more like you're, you're open to it, but you're not, maybe not force it. I'm definitely not forcing that. And to answer your other. question, I would rather do the Dalton Gincade because I believe in
Starting point is 00:35:15 Dalton Gincade at the position. All right, that's a name. Instagram question from Big neck officer. Big neck officer? Is this Davis Mills? Maybe. Well, that's tall neck. You wouldn't call it a big neck?
Starting point is 00:35:31 That's a good question. I think of big necks is more like, you know, why? Grethie. Brock Leicester. But Shrek doesn't really have a neck. Brock Leicester is more of the law. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Yeah. Yeah. Traps. Who's the Eagles security guy? Oh. I can't think of his name. I know what you're talking about. Big Dom. Yeah, big,
Starting point is 00:35:52 but the question is how many games? Or as Matt would say, Big Dim. You idiots. Matt. Yeah, and you tried to delete it before I saw it. What, he typed that? Yeah, he typed.
Starting point is 00:36:02 It's a typo. I'm sorry. This is a typo. He types like he thinks. You understand a typo like big, big dom to big dim is a pretty big deal. your hair all wet? No.
Starting point is 00:36:13 What are you doing? Why are you practicing dance moves? Why are you so sweaty? Oh, man. Matthew. Oh, this is great. What are you doing back there?
Starting point is 00:36:22 YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. He's having a run. He's trying to lean so hard to get out of frame. Is it because of the sweat? No, it's a new look. It's a new thing that my stylist me. Oh, no, I feel bad. No, it looks great.
Starting point is 00:36:38 It's supposed to dry eventually, but it hasn't in an hour or two. We're like put this oil in? Yeah. All right. From this angle, it's more of a hairnet. But anyways, how many games into the NFL season do you think a team has shown you who they really are? Oh, that's a great question. We may have to compensate for some of what we do to the deucers with a deucer of the day award or something.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I think we're going to need that. Give it to Matt. That's fine. I'd like to talk about it. You are the deucer of the day. The first ever deucer of the day. Congratulations. We'll be back to talk about you some more.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Yeah. Now that you're the deucey of the day, you can take it. Just nominates you for the whole show to get ripped. Yes. Oh, congratulations. Congratulations on such an honor. How many games into the NFL season does it take for a team to show you who they really are? Gosh.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I'm going to say, I got my number. I'm going to, you want to write it down? Yeah. Well, let me, you write your number down, but I'm going to give one thought, which is, um, the Colts last year. But I guess that was in. That was surgery.
Starting point is 00:37:45 All right. I've got my number. Like trends and just like momentum and stuff, I think that can ebb and flow, but to know who that team is. All right. My number is. Oh, Mike wrote 10. I went 10. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:37:58 I went six. I went four. Okay. I think after the first month, not the teams can't change to get better. Like, I remember. That's why I need more. Like, I've seen. I think four is too few for me.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Remember in the Denver Broncos were like six and oh or seven o. and then they didn't make the playoffs. Like that was the McDaniel year. But those are outliers. I was just going to bring up when the chiefs were, oh, and five and made the playoffs. That was like they really changed course. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:24 And so by the end of the year, they are something different than they were at the beginning of the year. Well, let's put it to the test. Okay. Four weeks into last year. Do you want to look at where we were? Oh, that's neat. We have that information.
Starting point is 00:38:37 It exists. A little bit. Oh, man. Bills are four and out. Oh, man. Yeah. I don't think you're going to get good information. I wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:38:45 I don't think it's the right data. Kyle says 17. We do know through 17 games. Yeah. I should be able to get this data. We'll figure it out. Kyle's on it. Kyle's on it.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Yeah, I'm a busy hosting the show. I can't get good data. But yeah, for me it's like six, but I was leaning more towards the high side, maybe eight. I think after six is like you can, you're starting to figure it out. The schedules can be just really compliment. or tough. Like the Broncos, are we going to know
Starting point is 00:39:13 who the Broncos are through four weeks? Yeah, the Broncos, the Jaguars, the Patriots, they get off to really tough starts. But I also think you have to,
Starting point is 00:39:22 for fantasy purposes, you've got to kind of make an early judgment. You don't want to do too early. None of us wrote down like, hey, you just need to see them play twice. My point was,
Starting point is 00:39:33 I don't think you can do it before four. Oh, totally. But after four, you've got to start making those judgment calls of who's a great defense, who's, you know, the offense. It's tough because if you wait 10, you know, you've got a couple.
Starting point is 00:39:45 It's not a lot of information. Yeah, you got a couple weeks left before fantasy playoffs. I was looking at the question more of like, who do I, like the team, do I actually believe that this team is going to make noise? There. We'll take a break. We've got some more questions. All right.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Brett writing in, is there such a thing as overmock drafting? I've done 100 since May. Please don't judge me. No judgment. Judgment free zone here. I don't think so. Unless you're annoying yourself. I think the danger could be that mock drafts are a tremendous tool to kind of get you ready for things.
Starting point is 00:40:27 But you know that in your live draft, you're going to have at least two wild cards where a, and, you know, like a pick here or there in the second or third round really changes the trajectory. So if you're like, I've done this a hundred times, I'm locked in. I know that this is the range. Weird stuff happens in drafts. I do have the standings after four weeks. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Last year, Buffalo is 4 and O, New England was 2 and 2. Okay. I'm just going to read the top two of every division. Sure. Pittsburgh 3 and 1, Cincinnati, 2 and 2. Baltimore was 1 and 3. That changed. Indianapolis 3 and 1, Jacksonville 3 and 1.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Chargers 3 and 1, Denver 2 and 2. Philly 4&O, Washington 2 and 2. So, I may... Take some time. Yeah, Detroit 3 and 1, Green Bay 2 and 1, Tampa 3 and 1, Atlanta 2 and 2, San Fran 3 and 1, Seattle 3 and 1, Rams 3 and 1. Cardinals 2 and 2. Wow. Firmest never won another game? I think the rest of the year, that was crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Stack question from Gunderson. What's an underrated stack to watch for when drafting we just talked about? I mean, I think DJ Moore with Josh Allen is an underrated stack. Tyler Shuck is free. Stack, if you get a lava and you want to wait on a quarterback, why not? take that shot. I'm for it. The man, the Jordan Tyson injury is such a bummer for
Starting point is 00:41:50 Tyler Shuck at the beginning of the year. Although it's a clearer stack now. Oh, of course. I'm just saying that Tyler Shuck being free was oh man, it was going to feed families. Yeah, you were very in on him for fantasy this year. I don't think you have to be out at all.
Starting point is 00:42:07 I think it can happen in the first half too. I do believe that what we saw last year, you know, he didn't have. His starter pace of 4,200 yards. Yeah, exactly. And he didn't have Jordan Tyson then. One touchdown. And coming into year two, I like that stack. I did a tweet of my favorite stacks, including like the ADP value in order and in little tiers. I accidentally left Shuck and Olavé off. And that was, that was my mistake. The one that I'm going for that I like the value of
Starting point is 00:42:38 right now, if I can get, I like neighbors in the third and dart in the ninth. It is playing with fire. Because both of those guys, you know, Malik neighbors coming off to ACL, does he start slow? Is it a problem? Jackson Dart, I mean, Andy's bust pick. Like, you could see how that doesn't work out, Matt Nagy. But at the same time, I feel like both guys are in a range where they represent value, where if Malik Neighbors is healthy and has his best season, he is, he does not belong anywhere near there. Jackson Dart has his good version of us he doesn't belong anywhere near these are both guys that could seriously out produce their ADP where do you so you know we would we bring up the hey draft is laid as you
Starting point is 00:43:25 possibly can there are a few players where it it does help the drafter early if you had the courage to do it because it's like Malik and the third I I think when like this huge drafts are coming this weekend and some even next weekend he's not going in the third. He'll be in the second. People will go early second round on Malik neighbor. So that's an ADP. Like if you're looking at that, you know, rubbing your hands thinking you're going to get Malik neighbors in the third. I think that is incorrect. I think, well, let's just look here because right now you've got, I doubt he goes above the, uh, AJ Brown, Drake London tier. Would, would he, could he sneak about me? I bet. I bet there's
Starting point is 00:44:04 leagues he goes about Drake London. Uh, Nico Collins, George Pickens. So, yeah. So if that's the case, If he's in that area. I think people are going to be willing to do that. It's basically the tooth return. Yeah. You're at the back of the two more than likely. And yeah, I agree. That's where he'll go in every league.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Yeah, just someone will reach. Just want people, be aware. Don't be sitting looking at that ADP. Thinking he'll come back around you. The rest of your league is salivating, looking at that ADP, trying to get a steal. I'll bring up Bo Nix and Jalen Waddle. You know, the case was made just earlier for Bo Nix being a true value. in the draft.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Bo Nix was very close to being a my guy for me if it wasn't for the first six-week schedule. Right. So I, dude, we all can see that. Like, how can it be worse than where he's being drafted? Yes. He's going in the late 10th, which is like, this is an afterthought. And then I'll stack in with Jalen Waddle,
Starting point is 00:44:58 who remains one of my favorite picks in fantasy right now. One thing we were talking about before the show is that there are certain players that are, like, some players are like kind of guarantee. guaranteed to produce on some level. Some players are full, like maybe that wild card category, where they could be, like I was saying, Trayvion. Like, Trayvion could be three things.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Yes, he can. He could be worthless for your team. Yep. He could be a flex-worthy player, and he could win your league if he got the opportunity. I look at Dart, do that lens? Do you agree with that? I definitely agree with that. Dart could fall on his face and be worthless, and he could be a league winner.
Starting point is 00:45:32 So I have a couple other names, see if you guys agree on them having three possible outcomes. Oh, I love this. The extreme bust all the way up to extreme league winner. Bucky Irving. Do you think that that's the case? I don't. I don't see league winning. I don't either. I think it's established that the past catching role is Gainwell's now. What about Judarian Price? Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Yeah. So all three ranges? Yeah. If the coaches decide that he is the guy, which, come on. Yeah. Dude, a thing that will bring me such joy, and I get it, I'm sorry, it will be it, it'll be fantasy misery for people. if George Halani is keeping Judarian Price off the field because this is just what Seattle does
Starting point is 00:46:16 and living my life of of Charbonnet keeping Ken Walker off the field it will bring me some some sick sense of morbid pleasure yeah I'll feel pretty okay about it there's a lot of stuff in fantasy like that that you're just like I don't want to see you fail but I would rather price just take the job
Starting point is 00:46:38 Price could be all three. Yeah, agreed. RJ Harvey. I don't think he can be the league winner because I think if slash win, J.K. Dobbins misses some games. I think it goes to Coleman. Like Coleman is now to the point of the drum beat and the hype. Like, he's making me more nervous about the J.K. Dobbins pick.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Right. I don't give two farts about RJ Harvey. He's not taking, he's not overtaking Dobbins and getting a whole bunch of work. If Coleman is as good as we thought he was going to be, and then the coaches believe he is the guy, that is a transition that could happen. Yeah, I think that RJ Harvey has a higher ceiling than we have been giving him credit for, but I agree it's not a league. Like if Harvey's catching 40 passes, what did he catch last year? Probably near there?
Starting point is 00:47:33 Yeah, probably in the 40s. Let's see. So, because he finished at RB21. Yeah, he caught 47. Man, five receiving touchdowns. So I guess he would have to be more up in like the high 50s or 60s. Three more names that I'm at. I wonder if you see them in all three categories.
Starting point is 00:47:48 This potential bust, potentially just good and potentially league winner. Parker, Washington. Definitely. I don't think he can bust. I do. Oh, I do. Okay. I don't.
Starting point is 00:48:00 Okay. I think that he is solid. Interesting. To great. Did you guys see the new, uniform reveal graphic. Oh, the, the jaguars? It's the rival uniforms from the team. It's not about it's not about the uniforms. Oh, is it Parker in the center? Parker is dead center. And it's not like in a line. It's a V where Parker's in the front and everyone is flying V? The flying V and everyone is
Starting point is 00:48:25 behind Parker. He's sitting there front and center like. Those are always, it's not even Trev? No, no. A horse boy? It's, yeah, the horse boy. Is he too tall? They had to put they tall people in the Yeah, short in the front. It makes sense. But I do, I do think Parker Washington could bust simply because of how many mouths there are to feed. But I also, he's interesting though, Mike. He scares me as, he scares me as a, on the league winning side. Two more.
Starting point is 00:48:50 I love these. I love these. One quarterback, one tight in. You ready? One quarterback, one tight in. Kyler Murray. Oh, man. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Yes. I, disgusting. I will put my face back in the woodshedder for Kevin O'Connell. Disgusting, yeah. The only, J.J. McCarthy's the only quarterback who, well, Brosmer, but Broussmer didn't just belong to be on the NFL field. It's like you got value out of the shell that is Carson Wentz and that you let him be destroyed and he was still giving you production. We talked a lot on this episode about stacks and, you know, we've been a little bit worried about Justin Jefferson, at least yellow flags for where he's going in the first round. It's like.
Starting point is 00:49:34 there. And I'm still there too. But I was thinking about this. If Justin Jefferson works, like let's say Justin Jefferson's awesome, meaning he's a top three wide receiver where he has been most of his career. Yep. The Jefferson, Kyler, Stack is going to be the best one in football. So that's, you know, if you grab Justin Jefferson in the first, even if you have another quarterback, maybe like use your last pick. Because Kyler's, I mean, borderline undrafted right now in single quarterback leagues. I think he could go high, but doubtful. Dalton Kincaid. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:50:09 I do think so. I think that there's a world where he jumps to the elite if he gets the opportunities. He's obviously been great on a per route run. And there is definitely, I mean, we've seen it year after year where absolutely worthless. Yeah, those picks are interesting. You really don't want a bunch of those on your team, I think. I think it's good to have one,
Starting point is 00:50:32 maybe to players that you spin the draft pick and you're like, they might not start for me. But they could also be tremendous. I think it's a matter of where the cost is. You know, if you're talking about double-digit round cost on guys like, you know, if Dolan Kikade makes it to the 10th and Kyler is free, and I'll take shots on them like crazy. All right.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Do you guys know what tomorrow is? Oh, my Atlanta. It's Wednesday. It is Wednesday. Middle of the week. Big day. What day is it? Hump day?
Starting point is 00:51:04 Mike, Mike, Mike. You think Mike doesn't know when hump day is? It is My Guys Day. Fantastic. You can see how excited Al Borland is there with the huge My Guys yawn. You can see how sweaty the Falcon is.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Oh, he's excited. Ducer of the day. So sweaty about it. Oh, how's your hand? How squishy was that pet? It was like slapping water. I almost wore a hat. It's in my car right now.
