Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright. Welcome in!
Monday December 9th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, Mike Wright, Jason Maury, Andy Holloway.
Excited to have you with us, a reaction to the weekend, the studs, the duds, the news, the puns, and then I'm out.
I'm actually taking off.
Oh, all right.
I picked up the bye week in League of Records,
so I'm actually gonna take this week off, guys,
if you don't mind. Congratulations. We don't mind. I got nothing to worry about. Do you mind, Mike?'m actually gonna take this week off, guys, if you don't mind.
I got nothing to worry about.
Do you mind, Mike?
No, that's fine.
Yeah, I'm cool with it.
We should make a start-sit tool for bye week teams,
and it just, no matter what players you put in,
it just says it doesn't matter.
Al, are you in?
You like this frame of thought?
I hate that you have the bye.
Hey, you can still get the other bye, Al, if If I just got a root for injury, which I try not to
do. Yeah. But if Chase Brown wants to catch a cold before
the game, okay. Okay. That's not yes, a short term short term
thing. The cold right? Take some cold medicine. Take the week
off. That's what you need for the bye. Yes, sir. Okay. I don't
think he's gonna do that.
Hey, I made the playoffs too, baby.
Oh my, hey, congratulations.
Yeah, to those of us who backed in, baby.
Oh, and two on the week, don't matter.
Beep, beep, beep.
I think that the Briggs truck is coming to the playoff.
You got your socks blown off by Josh Allen.
Yeah.
You had no chance in heck, and you're still in.
And I'm in, baby. Oh boy, chance in heck. And you're still in.
And I'm in, baby.
Oh, boy.
And you've got such a powerhouse team.
You're just ready to run the table.
I know people don't want to play me,
because I will destroy your team with voodoo and black magic.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
The way the Chiefs do.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
They have done this to themselves.
There is no one left that likes the Chiefs.
Like I am, I like dynasties.
I root for the big, you know, when it was the Patriots.
Sorry, I liked it, I enjoyed it.
I was like, I wanna see them win another championship
and like, be like, I was part of that, you know,
era of football.
When you got to see it.
Dude, part of it.
Yes, I was part of it.
Well, I just mean like, that was the.
I was the guy that drafted Pacheco.
But the Chiefs, the football that they're playing.
It's so annoying.
They can't keep doing this, man.
This was not a distra, what did I call it a demolish it?
That was not a demolishing of our souls and eyeballs
It's like it's funny because you can go to Twitter and everyone points out every holding call
It isn't called by the Chiefs and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
But when you when you hit a field goal off the upright, oh
blah blah blah. But when you hit a field goal off the upright, it's not, you can't script it. You can't pre-plan. It just happens to go off the upright and through. Of course
it goes through.
Yeah, you said, so we weren't together when we were watching this, and I think you were
ahead of us at the time, and I was with Owl. We knew that they were about to kick a field goal
to win the game, a little chip shot.
And you said, oh my gosh, in Slack.
And I was like, did it go against them?
Final, like they're gonna miss the field?
This is crazy.
And then they doinked it in.
Unbelievable.
You know what bothers me too?
The level of celebration after all of these crappy wins.
They're always so... They won!
I know they won, Mike, but they just like... Bro, you've been in sports, you've been in
competition at the... when the clock is at zero and you have won, that's when you're
like, a win is a win and I will celebrate it like I won.
I don't blame them on that at all, but my point and the point of all people outside
of Kansas City or who aren't Chiefs fans, congratulations to Chiefs fans.
This is amazing for you guys.
I'm happy for you.
Just the rest of the world, you need to know the rest of the world would rather watch the
Panthers right now.
The Panthers are playing better looking football than the Chiefs and you just keep winning.
Now Mike and I are living the Bryce Young experience every week it's a great time. The
Kansas City Chiefs have pulled like this is the ultimate heel turn. Yes. Because
everyone loves the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes is throwing for 5,000 and
50 bajillion touchdowns. No lookers behind the back. Love it. They can win
every single game. Give me that level of entertainment and now we're
Back to the doldrums like this. This is
Like they hogan joined mwo. Yes, it is and now we all just we all hate the Chiefs
I get I but the problem your team is great the problem. I hate them our hatred is fueling
I know it's the chip on their shoulders they need to keep winning these games it's the same thing as the
Patriots like when the Patriots would just barely or the Spurs barely beat
teams yeah we sound fundamentals you get out of here it's far more than the 44 42
games like the Buffalo Rams game dirty dirty, you 12-1 sons of guns.
All right.
I guess we'll react with your puns right now.
What a weekend it was.
I've got all your Monday pun day submissions
from the Instagram from X. And away we go.
And I got to start it off.
Yeah, you'll enjoy this one.
Jalen McMillions, baby
Shazam Donald wait he made it John who swish yeah, baby overtime. Oh my gosh Alan
Oh my gosh Alan oh the garden of the elan. Oh nice. Okay, Isaac
Scorendo the char bones bones on you and Devon
H&O juan winnings and I like this bazooka Nakua
Oh, yeah, that's good
They weren't all good. You got yucky Irving
Travis smell see and anus Winston
Travis Smilcey and anus winston
Nick West broke a key. Yeah, it finally happened. Yeah, of course. Oh, AJ brown stains and jayden peed
How about pee-poo Samuel? Oh?
Won't levis that's good Mike mevans and let's end it with mr. Moore here is just where he's taking us all. Breeze Hell.
The...
Even Breeze Hell couldn't stop you from making the playoffs.
Yeah, because I could have benched my whole team.
Jaden Reed being in this list surrounded by just people
being annihilated like Anus Winston.
And he's just Jaden Pete, and he's out here.
He gave everyone zero points.
That's ridiculous. The best pun I saw on Jayden Reed was,
Jayden Reed sucks.
That's pretty clever,
because it's like they're using his name,
and it sounds just like Jayden Reed.
Jayden Reed was in, so Mike and I's Champ Champ Champ team,
our Dino Junior roster, we're playing for the bye week.
And we had-
Did you get it?
Well, we're still good.
We need 27 points from Joe Burrow.
Oh, that's doable.
It's doable, he's done it probably
four or five times this year.
It would have been done-able
if we had not played Jayden Reed.
We had Jayden Reed in and Devontae Adams on the bench.
Ah, that was a bad call by you. Agreed. Yeah. Agreed. All right, we're Jayden Reed in and Devonte Adams on La Bench. That was a bad call by you.
Agreed.
Agreed.
All right, we're ready to roll.
Welcome to Ready to Roll, presented by Nissan.
Well one of the things we said on this show for the entirety of the 10 years we've been
doing this is that you got to stay water in fantasy football.
We've learned that conclusions can kill, right?
If you make a determination too soon, if you're unwilling to change an opinion if you are if you're suffering
from fantasy burns from a certain player and that carries on to you know you
making a poor decision based on the fact that you were hurt in the past all of
these things can hurt you in fantasy Jason you've talked about wide receivers
and how outside of the tippy tippy top of the wide receiver position you can go
look at our consistency charts they're all fairly inconsistent.
Yeah like a good grade for these wide receivers is to have a good game every other game like
over a certain barometer that's actually good it doesn't feel good in the moment but it
actually is pretty consistent for wide receiver.
So I wanted to look at a couple of things here in our ready to roll segment. First I wanted to take a look at the first
impressions we got just as a little bit of a reflection and a lesson learned
because the first three weeks of the fantasy football season are so impactful
on our psyches that because you have all the buildup we all drafted we built our
rankings we spent two three three, four, five months
talking about players, we have expectations,
and then the first three weeks.
Well, after the first three weeks, Andy,
you know now, now you know what's gonna happen.
It's all been locked in stone.
It's all obvious.
Except it's not.
In fact, this stat is wild.
Half of the top 10 fantasy wide receivers
on the year, right now.
Right now.
Half of them were outside the top 30 after three weeks.
Outside the top 30 after three weeks.
Here are some of the names as we look back at the beginning.
Terry McLaurin, wide receiver 39 through three weeks.
Jordan Addison, the wide receiver 104.
JSN, Garrett Wilson, and Brian Thomas all outside the top 30. wide receiver 39 through three weeks Jordan Addison the wide receiver 104 JSN
Garrett Wilson and Brian Thomas all outside the top 30 Jerry Judy outside the top 40
Cortland Sutton
outside the top 50 lad McConkey outside the top 50 and
Since then the McLaurin is the wide receiver for on the year. You guys realized that oh, I realize that
I've got them in one league and it is,
I just can't believe it keeps happening every week.
And Addison, wide receiver 16.
Jaysen is now the wide receiver five on the year.
Garrett Wilson, the wide receiver seven.
Brian Thomas in the top 10.
Judy in the top 10.
Yeah, I mean, he's been, he is a dominant league winning
type of fantasy wide receiver with Jameis.
So if you just put yourself in the boat of like,
if you reacted to those first three weeks,
it probably costs you starting those guys
another three weeks before you add any confidence.
Things change very quickly.
You look at common denominators in that situation,
Terry McLaurin with Jaden Daniels,
it transformed his fantasy outlook.
Cortland Sutton with Bo Nicks, quarterback situation, transformed everything. Jerry
Judy, now that he got Jameis Winston, it's transformed his whole season. So what are
the implications of that? One, it's a lesson learned for the future, right? Don't let those
first three weeks become... and I'm preaching to myself here, it's almost impossible, but a three-week stretch in the
middle of the season doesn't feel the same as the first three weeks.
No, it doesn't.
It doesn't in the sense that we already have established what we think of these players,
so it's like, okay, they're having a down week, but they've been good already this season.
When it's at the beginning, it's 100% of the year, so it's 100% of everything you've seen. So it's much more difficult. But I think it
is worth bringing up. If you're in a slump right now, if a player has had two bad weeks
in a row, that doesn't mean, oh, it's bad from here on out. You can't view it that way.
Everyone was dropping Mark Andrews after the back-to-back Gooses. And since that time, I'm pretty sure he's like a top three tight end.
So I did want to point out four names based on the idea that conclusions can kill.
We just talked about one in Monday Punday.
And I'm not going to pretend to know the future for this player, but I will tell you that
the burns of this past week, they number one they are medical Jaden Reed is a very talented
player that has had stretches of games where he's been a fantasy darling this
year he just goose you on Thursday his fantasy playoffs are the fourth easiest
schedule for wide receivers.
Another player that has made no impact on you for the course of the year that might make a big difference in the playoffs,
Adam Thielen, who we just said, the Garden of Thielen.
Jason looked up waiting for the point.
I was waiting. I was waiting. But to be fair, it's like 9 a.m. our time,
so I assume Adam Thielen was at his nap.
Yes.
Gets up around four or five, takes a nine hour nap.
He's already had lunch.
I mean, Adam Thielen continues to get it done
and looks great and-
And Bryce Young looks-
Thank you.
Healed a little.
There will be start-set decisions this week in particular
where you're gonna be facing the, is it the player that's done
well lately, Adam Thieland, emerging with a great matchup in two-thirds of the
fantasy playoffs. Dallas, Arizona and Tampa Bay. Or putting your confidence in
somebody whose situation is a little bit murkier. You know one name worth bringing
up where it's like, hey, be careful.
George Pickens. He just missed week 14 with an injury, precautionary. His first week in
the fantasy playoffs is going to be against Philadelphia in Philadelphia.
No problem for Adam Thielen.
No, it wasn't. And then C.D. Lamb, he's averaging 9.2 fancy points per game with Cooper
Rush you talk about one of those situations Bo Nicks, Jayden Daniels,
helped McClorn and Sutton Cooper Rush with now CD Lamb the big name the big
pedigree the big history under 10 points a game with Cooper Rush dealing with an
injury so if you go into your fantasy playoffs with the conclusion about CD
Lamb and what he should be and he gets to face
two out of three really tough matchups. Your championship week, CD Lam with Cooper Rush
in Philadelphia against Philadelphia. How do you feel about that? At this very moment, not good.
It might take some intestinal fortitude to win your fantasy championship as well.
Is the message here.
I wanted to lay out some of what's happened, but mostly just tell you it's the very difficult
calls that can win and turn the table in a fantasy championship. Now Jason, you've got
a look on your face. Are you just thinking about it?
I'm just thinking about it. I'm thinking about how I'm going to try to scrap and claw my
way through these playoffs with a garbage roster.
It can be done.
Well, I mean, look, there have to be people out there
that played CD Land this week instead of Jordan Addison
in that matchup.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so there's gonna be a lot of those type of decisions
coming down the stretch, and I wanted to highlight
some of the fact that there's these stretches of games that really change the way you
think about a player but but stay water be willing to let the burns go all right

Well, Derek Carr suffered a fracture in his left hand that is the shop. That is the fear
Okay, the car in is the shop. Yeah. Yeah. No, I I'm with you. Yeah
He also might be in concussion protocol. It was a hand and concussion combination
He the coach his helmet super hard with his left hand
If you didn't see the play, it's wild the coach said
He might be how do they not how that seems like something you should know
I feel like this happened like with with Harbaugh a couple years ago. We're like
What do you mean? Are they or are they not?
This is that's a strange thing.
So Derek Carr, I mean, first reactions to that injury
and what it means for, you know,
Camara and other options in the offense.
It will be very bad for the Saints.
I mean, we saw this already.
Week six, seven, eight, when they did not have Carr there,
it was not great for the Saints.
Now, six, seven, and eight, you look at,
they weren't like, Camaro's so involved,
but they were three of his worst games.
Not like he was just outright bust.
He scored 14 points, five points, 15 points, he was okay.
But if you look at all of his massive games,
they've been with Derek Carr.
So you hope Carr can clear concussion protocol
if he's in it.
And I don't know, man, if you've got a fractured left hand,
obviously it's not your throwing hand,
but you still have to catch snaps.
So we'll monitor that.
We did get news this morning,
Isaac Grindle left Sunday's game
against the Bears with a foot injury.
Kyle Shanahan said X-rays were inconclusive.
We'll have more imaging on Monday.
Concern is the foot sprain.
Gurindo himself said the exit was precautionary
and quote, I feel great.
Yeah, well, we'll see.
Feels great about his performance.
I mean, if he's out, then we've gone
CMC Mitchell, Mason,
Garinda.
Keyshaw on board, baby.
Patrick Taylor.
Both of those guys.
No, but it'll be Garinda.
Wild.
Bucky Irving left early.
This won't hurt, literally.
Bucky Irving barely played.
Final touch was the beginning of the second quarter.
Yeah, precautionary is what they're saying because he got banged up last week.
They were winning.
You know, that's a scary one because he's been playing so well.
Jonathan Brooks.
Oh, man. Left with acontact right knee injury.
This is the same knee that Brooks had surgery on
for a tornacea.
Yeah, I mean, we'll wait to see what happens,
but when it's non-contact and then he was down
and he tried to get up, tried to leave the field,
had to get back down, man,
for a player that took this long to come back,
you hoped that this was like the process
of allowing the body to just heal completely fully.
We don't have any other information,
but it makes me question if there was some setbacks
along the way of the recovery,
and that's why it took so long.
The fact that he's back out on the field,
and now the same knee
Says whoopsie doozles. This could be this could be like major major issue
Will Dizzley left injured shoulder injury sad, Montana. Yeah, Justin Herbert was playing through injury Edno Connell
Looks like a season-ending injury for Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell.
As the team circles the drain and is nearing the number one pick, I believe they're at number two.
And that will be brutal for Jacoby and Brock. Yes, that is another one of the... I wanted to
bring up Brock Bowers in that Raider role segment. That was the first name that came to mind of,
okay, maybe now that the quarterback change happens,
that's really, but it's not gonna impact fantasy
because I can't, no one's going to bench Brock Bowers.
No, no.
But your expectations for Brock Bowers
need to be extremely measured.
Oh, for sure.
You're going to have, I mean, when you go to
the third string quarterback on
A bad team. I mean it doesn't matter how good you are look at you know Malik neighbors is great
But you can't always get it done, and I don't know that Brock Bowers is going to be able to you know
I mean doesn't ridder Kyle Pitts and Drake, and the players he had in the past,
I mean, too bad they don't have Johnny Smith, you know?
Yeah, a lot of people in the playoffs have Brock Bowers,
and he's helped get you there,
and he might help you exit.
Correction to what I said,
the Las Vegas Raiders are now their number one
in the draft order. Oh!
The Giants are number two.
Strength of schedule one.
Congratulations.
Oh man, Brock in dynasty?
Get him the number one pick at quarterback?
Yeah, yeah.
DeMarcus Robinson left with an injury for the Rams.
Dallas got it, was placed on IR.
And I think that's all the news I got.
That's all we got for now.
I'm sure we could find more if you want.
Let's hope for a breaking news button.
I'm checking to see if Jalen McMillan
scored another touchdown.
No, just the two.
All right, that was today's News and Odes,
presented by USAA Insurance.
Learn more at usaa.com slash insurance.
We will take a break and come back with the studs.
The Jalen McMillan thing on Sunday was one of the most hilarious possible starts to a
Sunday ever.
It was a good time.
Because he did it so quick.
There was no sweat.
Yeah, it was a
great start to the Sunday morning games we had Kendra Miller in the end zone and
Jalen McMillan in like the first five minutes of action it was a chef's kiss
I mean those are the moments we live for right third fourth fifth string Tampa
Bay touchdown guarantee I just I can't wait for that next Troy Franklin
touchdown this year that's the. That's where it matters.
This week's fantasy stud muffins. All those names we mentioned reminded me of
studley performances so let's jump in here. You know normally on a week like
this we're talking Sam Darnold because what a performance
from Sam Darnold.
Five touchdowns.
Genuinely what a pro, like it wasn't luck.
It wasn't a screen pass that he looked outstand every single throw.
You know, we weren't together.
I was, I was with owl watching the games, and I was just like, the whole,
I'm like, look, he's on fire right now.
Moving in the pocket, Sam Darnold 22.
Hitting everybody in stride, down the field, everywhere.
He was so good.
He had a couple mind melds with Addison
where it was like, that was a short ball
that Addison read properly.
And to be fair, Atlanta's DB slipped on a few banana peels.
But 22 for 28, 347 and five,
that would normally have been your storyline,
move great in the pocket.
It's also a storyline, they've negotiated nothing
with Sam Darnold about the future
and is likely at this point he's priced out of their.
Yeah, he's playing for a good contract.
He's gonna play for somebody else
and be their starter next year.
That's what's gonna happen with Sam Darnold.
I wouldn't negotiate if I were Sam.
You wouldn't negotiate?
No.
I would be like, no, we're going to finish out the season.
Don't worry about it.
I'd gamble.
However, there was this guy.
Excellent.
Josh Allen, three rushing touchdowns, three passing touchdowns, the first player in history
with a three plus three in a loss.
42-44 in a, it was an amazing game.
No interceptions.
I find the coaching of McDermott to be atrocious at the end of that game. It was the worst call I've seen since Eberfluss.
I don't know if you saw the end of that game, Jason,
but their decision to, with a minute on the clock,
attempt a quarterback sneak with three timeouts
that they already had, they failed it.
It forced them to use one of their timeouts.
And by using one
timeout that eliminated their ability to call three timeouts and kick the ball
deep. It was insane to me, just absolutely insane. But Josh Allen, fantasy darling,
absolutely incredible and you didn't win if you played against him.
Correct. After last week Jason and I had started the show,
talking about the snow game of, hey, snow people,
which one do you prefer?
Oh, well.
Which one do you prefer, snow people?
Snow people.
I like 150 total yards.
Yeah, he scored a bunch of touchdowns.
He threw himself a touchdown last week.
I get it, it's weird.
Which one do you prefer?
That I get it.
And I prefer this, but I prefer this the way that every meal that I eat isn't a
four course meal, right?
If every meal was a four course meal, they're not, none of them are four course
meals, right?
These are special games because they're amazing.
The snow game, that's its own special thing.
None of them should be all the time and I want more of these. I'm just saying that
the variability is what makes it fun. Otherwise it's arena football. Which is
it's pretty good game. It's a pretty fun game. You ever been to an arena ball?
It's great. I don't think the ratings say what the NFL's ratings say is all I'm
saying. So you got mix it up, Mike.
This was awesome.
44-42, it was a great game.
It was a great fantasy game.
Pukka Nakua, Cooper Cup, Stafford got it done, Allen got it done.
There were lots of beneficiaries.
But Josh Allen's gonna win the MVP.
That's what's gonna happen.
And look, they're gonna go play Detroit next week the MVP. That's what's gonna happen. And look, they're
gonna go play Detroit next week in Detroit. That's a fun game.
Yeah. I mean, if they win that game, if the Bills win that game, Josh Allen will be minus
10,000 to get MVP. I mean, that will give them a record competing with the number one in the league and Josh Allen's been the best player.
Him, Lamar, they've basically been the best.
Yeah, and when you watch Kyler Murray play quarterback
and then you watch Josh Allen play quarterback
as a Cardinal fan, you realize that you are-
Don't, don't, you don't need to say that.
That you are stuck at an eight and nine peak
for the rest of Kyler Murray's career's career. Yeah. Jalen Hurts.
OK, another rushing touchdown.
This game was weird.
Yeah, 100 yards.
He passed for 100 yards.
He did not play well.
I watched the all 22.
His wide receivers were open all over the place down the field.
AJ Brown is furious right now.
Like if you saw his postgame conference, it was, he is, he is so unhappy.
Is he cryptic tweeting?
No, he's just, his face is not cryptic and it says, I hate my life.
Hey, I mean, he is cardio out there with 15 yards of separation and Jaylen
Hernds won't throw the ball down the field.
I mean, look at the evidence here.
Carolina could have won this game easily.
This is a mirage if you think it was
a good game for Philadelphia.
This was not a good game for Philadelphia.
This was a bad game for Philadelphia
that they figured out how to win
because Carolina's a bad team.
Yeah, but Carolina's been figuring some things out
as of late, and just because the Eagles had a bad game,
I still think they're a very good team. They, they are a good team, but he's thrown,
here's his passing yardage over the last three weeks.
179, 118, 108.
If you go into your fantasy playoffs.
You're fine with that.
As long as you use them rushing questions.
You're fine with that, is that what you're saying?
Yeah, I mean, his rushing.
Not if you have Brown.
No, no, no.
Not if you have Smith, that's my point.
No, I'm just talking about hurts.
Yes, the receiving weapons are obviously,
you need more passing yardage.
Saquon is a big part of the problem.
His rushing ability and his rushing yardage
has taken over the Eagles with their defense
and their running game.
You don't need to throw the ball a lot,
and so that can be frustrating for the weapons.
Yeah, if you're a Devontae Smith manager,
you're really scared. You're not expecting massive games. Obviously, you
got the touchdown this week. But the rushing touchdowns are still there for Hertz, so Hertz
you're fine with. The last four years, 10 touchdowns, just rushing. 13 touchdowns, 15
touchdowns, and 13 this year with weeks to go.
I mean, Pittsburgh though, next week to start your playoffs for Jalen Hurts.
He did finish at five this week the previous three weeks outside the top 12 three consecutive weeks.
I do think things are going a little bit like you said Saquon's a piece of it.
Competence in the passing game is not there. So if you're AJ Brown and Devontae Smith you're a little nervous.
If you're managing those players.
Tua deserves a ton of credit for what he is doing right now
in fantasy and on the field for his team.
In fantasy, Tua is the quarterback two, five, and three
over the last three weeks.
He's the quarterback one over the last month.
So, and he's getting it done each and every week.
You saw Waddle and Hill get involved. You saw John New Smith in overtime. He's the quarterback one over the last month. So, you know, and he's getting it done each and every week.
You saw Waddle and Hill get involved.
You saw John New Smith in overtime.
You throw the ball to Achan all the time.
He's averaging, you know, the last month.
Is that what you said, Jay?
He's the quarterback one.
He's averaging, as opposed to the, what,
108 passing yards of Mr. Jalen Hurts,
325 a game for Tuitonga-Vaioloa.
They play Houston, then San Francisco, then Cleveland.
I'm not scared of any of those matchups.
No, those are three good defenses,
but absolutely not scary.
I wouldn't bench them.
And the nice thing is, those are three offenses
that should be able to make it into
really valuable games.
Yes.
I think Tua could be a league winner.
Could be.
I just wanna see, the thing is with the Dolphins in general,
they do a good job beating up on bad teams.
And so I'm really curious coming up here.
Houston, they're not a
juggernaut, but they're a good team. San Francisco, if they're still playing for the playoffs,
they obviously played great this last week. I want to see this, because obviously against
the Jets, you kind of saw this coming.
I mean, 365 and two on the road.
The Packers?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a good win. That was great.
That's one game.
Yeah, I mean good game.
He's set up, by the way, to break
Debrey's all-time record for completion percentage.
He's at 74% on the year.
Well, when 80% of your passes are to HN and John New Smith,
that'll help.
Yeah, I mean, is his yards per attempt down? because I don't think it is. From like previous years. It's down to
seven point. He was in the eights. Instead of eight okay. Running backs this week the
top five Zach Charbonneau. Oh my gosh. Isaac Orindo, Rashad White, Josh Jacobs, Kyron Williams.
Charbonne.
Yeah.
Where has this been since college?
I'm just curious because Mike and I loved you coming out of college.
You've been slow and plodding.
He's only caused me pain, but whoo-ha!
No Ken Walker, who could be back next week might not Charbonneau goes
22 for 134 big touchdown run caught seven passes got 48% of the team's
rushing attempts and targets and you know the way this offensive line works
you know Charbonneau was very decisive I say that. He got the ball and he ran forward. You know, it wasn't a lot of dancing, very versatile,
very powerful, did some things that like probably are not in the area where
Ken Walker's strengths are. Yeah, that's fine. Tackle breaking. It was impressive.
They crushed Arizona. I can't tell you how much I hate the Cardinals. I hate them so much.
Isaac Gurindo, 15 for 78 and two.
Jason started the week, two for 50 through the air.
Hopefully that helped a lot of you
to have the pat on the butt.
The endorsement of Gurindo coming right into that situation
and starting for your fantasy team.
Hopefully his foot's okay.
If it's not, it will be par for the course for the 49ers and for your fantasy teams because
a running back that you can count on in San Francisco is an illusion, a ghost, and a mist.
It's just you get them for a time and then they're gone.
Yeah, but when they're there, if they're there, you plug them in your starting lineup.
Josh Jacobs, three more touchdowns against Detroit. Okay, so the last six games,
Josh Jacobs has played. He's on pace for 28 rushing touchdowns. That's, I mean, he is,
when they get around the goal line, which is so funny because-
We brought him up as a regression, a positive regression candidate because he didn't score
on the ground for the first four weeks.
But I do feel like he is kind of murdering the passing game.
Like I would like it to stop, personally.
I mean, it's a great game.
He looks outstanding.
It's like Saquon in the Philly situation.
It's just like, you know, Jayden Reed is like,
can I play two?
And Josh Jake was like, nah, I got this.
Rashad White did it again.
17 for 90 and one on the ground.
Passing touchdown.
I mean, Rashad White, we saw this last year.
If he's the dude, if he's, you know,
he was out there all of the snaps last year,
just a complete workhorse back and great for fantasy.
I mean, you could have this again this next week
against the Chargers
Sean Tucker did not get a lot of work. He was three for
47 in his three touches
Kyron two more rushing touchdowns James Connor against Seattle 18 for 90 also scored
Four for 32 and one plays New England at home next week for your fantasy playoffs then Carolina then the Rams all right James Connor three more games that's all we
need from you James you can get hurt for the last week because we won't play
fantasy then yeah I like that let's take week 18 off with like a pinky injury
Bijon Robinson continues to get it done Shuba Hubbard was last man standing and
is a good running back.
So 26 for 92 and one against a brutal rushing defense.
Yeah, the upcoming weeks, Dallas, Arizona,
and Tampa Bay for Chuba who's completely alone now.
I mean, Miles Sanders is gone, Brooks is gone,
and I forget the-
Black Sheep.
Black Sheep, yeah.
Yeah, he's gone, so.
The pirate.
Yeah.
Have you any wool?
Oh, you and- Yeah, I went a different way. Yeah. I like both. Which one? No, no's gone. So the pirate. Yeah, have you any wool? Oh, yeah, I went a different way. Yeah
No bags full you gotta pay gotta pick I'm gonna go with the wool cuz I didn't see it coming
It was a little bit more difficult. Sorry Mike
But it was just like actually the Pirates cool, too. Yeah, no, they were both good. That's fine. We'll go with the sheep
Yeah, all right
Have you any wool? No, they were both good. They were both good. That's fine. We'll go with the sheep. Yeah.
All right.
Have you any wool?
Anyways, he's injured too.
So, Tuba's completely alone.
At least this week against Dallas, this coming week.
I mean, that is, I hope you have him in playoffs.
Top five wide outs this week.
Pooka Nakua, 35.8 points.
Jordan Addison, 35.3.
Justin Jefferson, Juwan Jennings, and Tyreek Hill.
Welcome back to the party.
Hey, I remember you.
Right.
10 for 115 and one for Tyreek.
First 100 yard game since week, one.
Holy moly.
You look like you were about to hold the football.
The way that you're posing is like a two handed, don't fumble.
Is practicing. No, I had an itch posing is like a two-handed don't fumble is practicing
Look like a Look a little bit of a huh. You're not fumbling. Um, Devante Adams 9 for 109 and a touchdown
Jalen McMillan, you know who should have had touchdown Garrett Wilson. Oh my gosh, Mike can't handle it. Dude, Rogers.
Bro.
Did you see the 76 yard touchdown that was an easy one
but he ran him out of bounds?
Yeah.
I mean, I don't know where the ball came down.
When I watched it live,
I kind of had a little blame on Garrett Wilson as well.
There's a little blame on Wilson there for sure.
I brought it up to Mike, he had,
he would not accept that.
No, because if you watch the play in totality, the margin for touchdown was probably 10 yards
wide.
Yeah.
And he missed it.
I will definitely say that any throw, if you put that ball just a little bit more inbounds,
it is a guaranteed touchdown.
But I still felt like watching it, I mean, he didn't make that big an effort to stay in bounds
He's like I caught the ball. I'm gonna get out
It's like there's a good a big field ahead of you guys. He didn't even try that was my issue
He did not falling out the ball took him out of bounds
Anyways Adams had a good game 9 for 109 and Garrett did a good game
Jalen McMillan 4 for 59 and 2
the question here is not you know am I
some sort of genius but really do you care about this? No I don't care much
it's nice to see the rookie involved and he's still a matchup play you know like
for instance this next week they're gonna go on the road and play against
Chargers. We've talked play against the Chargers.
We've talked about how the Chargers games
have hit the under a lot, and even though they've
opened things up with Herbert a little bit more,
they've got a really good defense.
I don't expect that one to be a barn burner.
I'm not gonna be looking to start Jalen McMillan
just on the back of two touchdowns, caught four balls.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, it's the same as Rome.
Rome with doons eight.
Which is the same as Tim Patrick.
Yep, four, and Patrick, I I would put at the bottom of it,
the bottom of the list of players.
I'm more talking about like two touchdown outlier performances.
But it's like if you had to order those three of which ones
do I care about, I'd put a Doonze at the top.
But it was still just four catches for Rome.
Darn Al Mooney.
Oh, there you go.
Your start of the week. Six for 142.
Yeah, that was him.
Nice to see Jerry Judy getting it done as well.
Has an amazing schedule down the stretch.
Last year it was Amari Cooper,
this year it's gonna be Jerry Judy
with a backup quarterback in Cleveland
winning people championships.
As long as Jameis Winston is behind center.
Now, it was not good for Jameis.
No.
He will be brought up momentarily. I was- Just 21 fantasy points. I thought he for James. No, he will be brought up momentarily I was just 21 fantasy. I thought he had no he was he was okay for fantasy
He didn't have like a bust game, but he didn't have
Obviously when you throw two picks and you get those minus points
It's difficult and he's used to and we are used to those picks scoring touchdowns by the opposing defense
But that didn't happen and that was really sad
for me. When I want Jameis to throw in picks, I want those picks to be housed.
He was 212 and 2 but had three turnovers.
Yeah.
So that was not, it was not up to expectation is all I mean. Tied ends.
Oh and Jawan Jennings, you missed him, had another good game.
Oh he looked so good.
7 for 90 and two touchdowns. Debo.
Pause, pause, we're about to talk about poop.
Okay, yeah, we'll get there.
That's where he belongs.
And I watched.
Oh, I was talking to Jerry about it the whole game.
It's like, you saw it.
I mean, we're talking about it now.
Ah, yeah.
There's no spoilers.
Hey, hey, hey.
Deebo kept getting the Deebo plays.
Yeah, they poured cement in his shoes, though.
They kept getting the Deebo.
Here's how Deebo plays used to work.
You get him the ball behind the line of scrimmage.
You get blockers out in front. There's one guy who leaks in.
Debo basically clowns that guy, throws him off, can't tackle him.
And then he goes down, breaks about 12 more tackles along the way.
Now here's how it works.
They get Debo the ball in the backfield. They get blockers down the field.
One guy comes in, he tackles Debo very easily.
I mean, that just didn't ever used to happen.
Now it happens every single time.
All right, we'll talk more about it in a second.
I wanna talk about big performances,
studs at the tight end position,
which was Kittle, Najoku, Juman Johnson.
Hey. Keep your eyes open there.
Yeah, man.
Although, maybe close them after cars injury.
Yeah.
Mike went through the whole cycle with me. Yeah, man. Although maybe close them after cars injury. Yeah. Mike went through the whole he went through the
whole cycle with me. Yeah. He's like, oh, yeah. Oh, oh, no.
Yeah. And I'm out. Uh, he got in. He got in one one side of
the car, scooted across. Grandpa Simpson. He was the
grandpa Simpson. Yeah. Um, Pat Friar Muth back in the end
zone. Um, you know, if he scores, you're always gonna be happy.
Welcome to the tight end world.
And then Johnny Smith.
Johnny with the most ridiculous fantasy game.
He is shut out.
Full goose and regulation.
Full goose, he goosed, he had zero points.
The game was over.
Four quarters, full goose.
He should not be in the studs.
And then overtime was the Johnny Smith drive.
And Trey McBride tried to do the same thing
He was goosing at the half seven for seventy at the end of the game. They tried to get him a touchdown again
they try I would say 80% he dropped it 20% Kyler missed him and
We're never gonna get one. I'm gonna call a touchdown guarantee for Trey McBride
Rest of season I tried it. I mean he will get one. Yes, I do
Rest of season I tried it. Wait, what do you mean rest of season? I mean he will get one. Yes, I do
Bowl the take he will get one before the end of the year. I'm not gonna even tell you what game
Cool, man, but I'm I guarantee it Wow. He was gonna get one. See I thought you were gonna be
Somewhat more, you know courageous and say this next game against New England. I would never I will
You will?
Yeah, done.
Okay, okay.
Mr., I'm gonna go back there real quick.
No.
He is on pace right now.
If you remember Deontay Johnson had 142 targets,
no touchdowns for Pittsburgh two years ago.
That was the record.
And Trey McBride is well on his way to.
He might be able to do it.
So...
If anyone could get that done, it's Kyler.
Him finishing in the top, I mean, I just want him to finish now at this point where we are.
Trey McBride will score next week.
I want him to just finish as a top three, maybe even higher with no touchdowns.
You're rooting, you want no touchdowns.
Yeah, let's just finish this.
It's a small sample, but I'm gonna say it
because it's hilarious and fun,
but Trey McBride is on pace for 232 targets
over the last three games.
Yeah.
This is the segment that-
That's how you kill a man, just for the record.
That's literally, I don't care who you are,
I know Trey McBride is big and tough,
but you can't.
Well, he needs to reduce his hurdle count.
Oh, I agree. I agree.
Mr. McBride, stop it.
There's a lot of hurdles.
Stop it.
Listen, this is more than McBride.
Oh, Drake London had the stupidest hurdle in that game.
You know who else did? Three times? Michael Mayer. Listen.
He's too heavy to do that.
Stop it. Hurdles are supposed to be special and rare. That's what makes them cool. If you try to do it on every play, you're going to die.
Didn't Derek Hart, isn't that how we got hurt?
Yeah.
The thing that is...
Hurtle himself into a girdle.
Yeah, the thing that people need to understand, if you're in the open field and it's a one-on-one
Tackle time that's when you hurtle. Yeah when there's other defensive players nearby
You can't hurtle three dudes you you're just gonna you're you're slowing down your progress to get
Lacked if you cool if if you complete the hurdle now, there's always the possibility
You're not gonna complete the hurdle the possibility
complete the hurdle. Now there's always the possibility
you're not gonna complete the hurdle.
The proshability.
The proshability.
But my point is like,
you need to be a little bit more selective
cause it's a high injury risk play.
And I'm pro hurdle.
I want a good hurdle.
But do it when you can run afterwards.
Not when it's like,
I'm gonna hurdle this guy while that guy tackles me.
Now, Tucker Craft did the right thing.
Cause he would have been annihilated by Joseph.
That was not really a hurdle,
that was an avoiding attack.
That's an escape.
All right, we'll take a break, we'll have to duck.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
No, I gotta know.
We waited that whole ad break.
That was a long ad break, and before you go, oh.
Oh.
Jason.
Did you poop?
What'd you find out?
I went to bet the Trey McBride touchdown,
right? And it's next week, so you can't bet it. It's not there.
There is a player's specials. I just clicked that button. I've never clicked
that button. It's called the Trey McBride's Made. And they only have one
thing you could bet for the entire game. Trey McBride's made nine plus receptions,
but no touchdown.
You can bet it.
Yeah, I mean, it's great odds, but I'm not,
I don't know, I'm betting that.
All right.
Because he's gonna score a touchdown.
Yeah, I guarantee it.
Here we go, Dud's time.
Poofed in his big boy pants.
Kurt Cousins. is big boy pants kirk cousins
uh... jay jay's accuracy summarizes performances over the last four weeks ten
points four points two points nine points
uh...
who put michael panics on our wall
all do we really have we do all who is that that's a pro move
who do i really have we do? Oh, who is that? That's a pro move who did I almost requested it?
Oh, that was that was the Falcon the Falcon took care of that. That's a good one
Yeah, Kirk. I was I don't want to like I
Want to be fair?
344 sucks
He's done it's over you're not winning with him. It's over. $100 million dollars. Over. Wasted.
The last month of football he is on pace for zero total passing touchdowns and 34 total interceptions.
Now when he throws zero touchdowns, I'm just curious Jason, how many touchdowns does Drake London catch?
He gets 100% target share of those touchdowns. Okay, and how many does Mooney score?
100% target hits 100 gets all of the touch on receiving touch is exactly a hundred percent of nothing be very afraid
I'm not look 344 cool
So, you know, it's a lot of garbage time in that game, too
Man that game got out of hand because Kurt Cousins cannot get it done.
He can't move in the pocket.
Every third throw comes out like my grandmother threw it.
Yeah, I mean, for her grandma, she had a rocket.
But look, I'm just watching.
Raiders this week?
Raiders?
Huh?
Can I interest you?
Is Max Crosby not playing? Because he will sack the crap out of Kurt Cousins.
Man.
They've lost all these games, right?
I mean, they have to have gone four losses in a row.
Yeah.
Tampa Bay is at the...
Yes, they have.
They're leading the division now.
I don't know, man.
It's just, it's gone.
And when it's gone, it's gone.
And Mike said it last week.
Achilles injuries to quarterbacks that are old.
Two and O.
Yeah, Achilles two, quarterbacks nothing.
Jordan Love, this was bad.
12 for 20, two oh six and one on Thursday.
Not his fault, that's Josh Jacobs' fault.
It's a lot of Jacobs, but also the past completions of 12,
that's rough.
But only throw, I don't know.
Yeah, and he only threw the ball 20 times. That's a weird rough. But only throw, I don't know.
He only threw the ball 20 times.
That's a weird game.
They're just, too much Josh Jacobs.
Let's reel that back.
Throw the ball a little bit.
Patrick Mahomes, 2-10 and one in his victory.
Patrick, the youth of America are turning on you.
Running backs, duds.
I haven't seen a lot of the shaved side, curly tops.
No, not anymore.
No, it's not cool.
We're out.
Josh Allen in.
So the thin little weird mustache,
is that what people are going to be doing?
I hope not.
Girl on the Josh Allen.
James Cook, Mike, this is one of the storylines at Running
Back.
Yes, it was.
Duds of the Week, 6 for 20 in a game
where his team scored 44 points, his fewest opportunities in a, uh, since
week 15 of 2022, we wondered frequently whether they were,
whether he was hurt, but it was more so when Buffalo's in
catch-up mode for the very first time this year, as opposed to
mustard thing.
Yeah.
Um, Ty Johnson was the guy.
That was a joke for Falcon.
James Cook, though.
Is this scary or is this an anomaly?
It's an anomaly.
I'm not worried.
Has to play Detroit in the fantasy playoffs next week.
I mean, that's a bad matchup.
I don't love that.
But I mean, you go back one week and James Cook was awesome,
got two touchdowns.
So I'm gonna I'm gonna
look at him this coming week in Detroit as you know probably an RB2 but probably started
in most leagues. Jacobs did score three times against Detroit. As did Kenneth Walker right?
Huh? Earlier in the season? Yeah I believe he had three touchdowns earlier in the season
maybe maybe it was two but. Wow. And keep in mind. He believe he had three touchdowns earlier in the season. Maybe it was two, but. Wow. Hold on a second.
And keep in mind.
He did.
He had three rushing touchdowns.
Keep in mind, we've been talking about the last couple weeks.
The injuries to Detroit's defense are monumental.
So I'm not looking away from James Cook
because of this performance.
Which is what people need to hear after a bad week.
Isaiah Pacheco, 14 for 55, Kareem Hunt five for 12.
Disappointing, but you need to,
this is like a takeaway moment.
You had 14 carries for Pacheco to five for Kareem Hunt.
46% of the snaps to 29% of the snaps.
Pacheco is now a startable player.
This was a hard matchup against the Chargers
who are one of the best run defenses in the league. Low scoring, divisional matchup, but
Pacheco's good to go. He should be started going forward. Nick Chubb, only 36%
of snaps. Jerome Ford was 56% of snaps. That's a problem.
Yeah, you can't play him. Yeah, when they're playing catch up it's going
to be more forward and then Jaylen Warren 9 for 47. A wide receiver, Jayden Reid, the
goose on Thursday night. Amon Ra, season low performance of 5 for 43. You don't worry about
Amon Ra. To play Jayden Reid at this point after a goose is very difficult to do, but the matchups are good.
So, you know, he's gonna be better
than some other options this week, he really will.
Yeah, playing him, if you don't have the right players
to get Reid out, this is not a, don't be angry and spiteful.
I mean, are you got me zero points?
He is a good player.
He's not a top 12 guy for fantasy football,
but he should probably be in the majority of lineups.
A.J. Brown, another disappointing week.
We talked about it.
If you look at the last six games played,
he's on pace for just 76 receptions.
I gotta go watch this press conference.
Yeah, do you have any fears of what we saw last year?
It was the locker room chat, not the presser.
Because last season we saw AJ Brown the first nine weeks, he was the wide receiver one.
Yeah, that stretch of 150s.
Yes, I have massive worries about that.
And then the whole second half, the last eight games played last season, he would not have
had pace for 1,000 yards.
And he had one touchdown over the course of eight games.
He's not different.
He's the same.
He's always open.
He makes every contested catch.
He's not getting the opportunities.
I'm very worried about it.
Well, don't worry.
And when your quarterback throws for under 200, you're capped.
Guys, do not worry, because it's not
working for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Oh, I get it. Sarcasm because they keep winning.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean this-
That's why I want to watch the locker room.
I want to see the face of a man who's mad that their team has rattled off nine straight victories.
Yeah.
Saquon is working. Their defense is great.
Why would you change the recipe? They're not interested in AJ Brown's-
You've won nine straight games! Receiving lines. Are you big mad? This is- this is gonna- this- Their defense is great. Why would you change the recipe? They're not interested in AJ Brown's
Receiving my man. This is this is gonna this come on you can easily see a path where this continues and
It's very difficult almost impossible to say to recommend benching a you can't bench AJ Brown, but you might not get
What you want? I mean if if you have, like, there are situations where I think you might choose to bench AJ Brown.
Jawan Jennings.
Jawan Jennings was the name that came to mind.
Cool, cool man.
I would 100% I'm not benching Jawan Jennings,
who's been awesome.
Cortland Sutton.
He's a guy that you might have got off waivers halfway
through.
You got to play him over AJ Brown right now.
You got to rebrand Jawan Jennings in your head.
Just look at it like it's JJ.
Like, oh, I got Justin Jefferson here.
Dude, the JJs rocked this week.
Yeah, they did.
But Jerry Judy, Justin Jefferson, Juwan Jennings.
It was a good strat.
What's wrong with DK Metcalf?
4 for 49 against Arizona, which he can't.
But like the last month, wide receiver, 32, 37, 41, 42.
Well, he's very banged up. I mean he he missed a couple games
He's been playing through injuries. He is also
Seating sees the wide receiver to on his own. I was gonna say it
JSN is is really taking over JSN's I believe since the kind of shopping network has happened
Jason's on on pace for like almost 1800 receiving yards.
Since week four, Debo Samuel is the wide receiver. That is a full bench. That's not a 55 you
want. That's a full bench. Yeah, I mean, it should be. He's really been bad. If you look,
I mean, since week three, he's had two games, two, where he
had, not just, he's had two games where he hasn't busted. I mean, we're talking
about total fantasy points of 2.5 in a week, of zero in a week, of 4.1 in a week,
of 2.6, two, 4.5. This is the regular... They won going away, scored four points.
Let's just... And the film backs it up. up the film is he's not breaking tackles the whole thing that makes Debo Samuel
The now you're a man is like you just can't tackle this guy is bigger stronger than you now
He's slower and heavier now your old man
That's what how it feels it It's gonna be really tough.
I maybe he'll have another game this year where he scores a couple touchdowns, but it'll be on the bench and maybe you
Do you land mine him?
Do you tempt someone out there to start putting him on waiver sure
I mean, I would pick him up from my league record keen and Allen and Westbrook. Okina return to earth
Westbrook Okene was so close.
He was.
To having the game, would have been winning touchdown?
That part I don't remember.
I think winning touchdown.
But he missed it.
And one for 19.
And as soon as you return to the bench, you'll score again.
And Marvin Harrison, I mean,
if he doesn't score a touchdown, he's averaging 3.7 fantasy points a game. That is Marvin Harrison right now. Which, breaking news,
that's also most wide receivers and that's also Michael Wilson. Like, that
that is not... A 22% target share for a top five pick, a wide receiver who is drafted in the top five, 22% target
share is not, that's not forgivable.
Well, I don't blame that low of a target share because the catch percentage and the in sync
with Kyler percentage, it's not always a good idea to target him right now as a rookie.
The play calling in Arizona is-
That's what I'm talking about.
It's driving me insane.
Jason, you and I watched the L22 a few weeks ago
when Kyler had one of his, what would that be?
Is that the Jekyll performance?
Which one's the good one, Jekyll or Hyde?
I think Jekyll is the good.
Yeah, so his Hyde performance-
No, Jekyll's the bad guy in the story.
Whatever one's bad.
Dr. Hyde is the scientist who turns himself in.
Hold on, we've got-
I don't know what you want for fantasy.
It's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
The doctor is-
What, I had it backwards?
Mr. Hyde's bad.
Jekyll is good.
Wow, okay.
Okay, I'm dumb.
Anyways, Kyler's been Hyde, all right?
Hi, Ding.
And when he is, you know, the all 22,
the play calls for this Cardinals offense
They'll run four guys into long developing routes down the field. They give him no escape. It's unbelievable
But at the same time Marvin Harrison jr. He's the wide receiver 25 on the year a disappointment for where you drafted him
he is leading I believe all rookie wide receivers in touchdowns and
You know, he's had a lot of big games, so this isn't a, some of these players we're talking about,
I don't know how you start them anymore.
You brought up in the games where he doesn't have
a touchdown, he's awful.
But in the games where he has a touchdown,
he's averaging 17 fantasy points.
It's not like it's just a touchdown,
so he's getting to 10.
He has good games and bad games,
and really that's just what Kyler is 10. He has good games and bad games, and really that's just what Kyler is.
Kyler has good games and bad games.
New England at home, but I can't imagine
that I'm going Harrison over Jennings,
or Sutton, the names you mentioned before.
Jennings.
Was that a Forrest Gump?
That was a Forrest Gump.
Swish!
Busted!
I got it out first, I got it out first.
That was a swish, because.
What in the world
Where did you pull that I heard the way Andy said no this was great look?
Well go to do sirs alley here. We got a nine and a ten these does a great joke
That was great because Andy the way he said Jennings was just like how Forrest Gump
Jennings
It's good it's good I'm gonna just like how Forrest Gump, Jen Ains.
It's good, it's good for, I'm gonna need feedback on that one. No, I'm off apparently.
I think- Just because the two poopers laugh
doesn't necessarily mean you nailed it.
The people loved it.
Brock Bowers, three for 49.
Uh oh.
Uh oh. Sp Uh-oh.
Spaghetti-os.
I mean,
you don't get to make a mistake two weeks in a row
in the playoffs.
And so the idea of moving away from Brock Bowers
if you had another option.
Gen Nanks. Oh no, now you're lying. Yeah, you like it. Oh no. Yeah. Moving away from Barack powers if you had another option
Try it it's fun
If you've seen Forrest Gump this I mean obviously if you if you haven't seen Forrest Gump This is not it's not a good job. That's just called a reference and you don't get it. Don't watch Forrest Gump
Jennings
It's a lot of fun. Try it at home. How do you spell that though? How do you put that in the nickname? and you don't get it. Go watch Forrest Gump. Jennings.
It's a lot of fun, try it at home. How do you spell that though?
How do you put that in the nickname chart?
Yeah, you can't.
Oh poor Juwan Jennings.
Brock Bowers, you're gonna keep playing him and praying.
But nine targets for Michael Mayer in this game.
There was a point in the game
where I was wondering if Brock Bowers banged up.
TJ Hawkinson, four for 45, not what you wanted. Evan Ingram 4 for 33. Travis Kelsey 5 for 45. Cole Comett goose for goosey goose.
And Kyle Pitts with his cursory one catch on six targets.
Man, Kyle Pitts. I keep wondering.
Are we like, is this funeral for pits and Debo are like baby so
with Kyle Pitts, I
genuinely keep wondering how much is him but if
you know, he's going to get a
Decent to big second contract he will he's he's a young
highly drafted athletic whatever like all you see the open market tight ends go
and get decent contracts based on very little work done.
Someone out there will pay for Kyle Pitts
and I just, I scratched my head to go, is it all him?
Is it mostly him?
Is it half him?
Like if he were to go to a different team paying money,
different scheme, better quarterback, could it work?
I don't know, I'm skeptical.
I think he phones it in a lot.
I don't think he can separate very easily
in any intermediate route.
He can get downfield and hide, you know what I mean?
He's got some top speed if he gets up to speed,
but when I watch him run the routes,
the Kelsey route, the McBride route,
in the middle of the field,
I go and I make a break and I try to get out quick,
I don't see that.
That's what I see the,
and that's the easy stuff for a tight end
to rack up the total reception.
That's where it feels lazy.
There's been a couple curl routes or braking routes
where it's like, the effort just seems like.
I don't think his legs work.
Yeah, something's weird.
They did pick up his fifth year option,
so he's got one more year in Atlanta.
Can they undo that?
I don't think so.
I don't know if you can.
They would take it back if they could.
Can you?
