Starting point is 00:00:06 to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Oh, welcome in. Oh, brother. Oh, brother. Friday, September 18th, the fantasy footballers podcast. Getting you ready for the weekend. Oh, get out of here, Jason.
Starting point is 00:00:44 You're booing me? It's not fair. It's jealousy. It's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting. We didn't get, I mean, we didn't get a hundred. We didn't even get into the game. 113 points, not twice, but we did get 72 points last night.
Starting point is 00:00:59 You heard, I heard, and the people heard how long his intro was. How much flourish was in that introduction. He is so happy. And that, of course, he should be. I am happy for the fantasy football players out there that had lions and bills that weren't named DJ Moore and Jameson Williams. The stallion is. It's just, did you have any, Andy? I did have some.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Which three did you have? I had Josh Allen. Oh, okay. I had Alman Ross St. Brown. Oh, a couple of toddies. And then the lowest score on my team, kind of a stinker. Must be a bad player. Jamir Gibbs, yes.
Starting point is 00:01:32 So I have 103 fantasy points on Thursday. With three players. Well, I mean, look, this is not, I don't think anybody would be surprised at Josh Allen and Jemir Gibbs in Amman and Ross St. Brown had a nice afternoon. evening in Buffalo at Highmark Stadium. What a game it was. Josh Allen, 248 and 3 with two more rushing touchdown, 69 rushing yards, and now has nine touchdowns, zero turnovers through two weeks. I think that's an MVP start so far. Oh, it certainly is. He seems unstoppable right now. The lion's defense seems unstoppable in a different way.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Hey, they're back for us. Thank you, Detroit. Yeah, they Sorry Detroit fans Because that's not going to work out 41-31 bills Jared Gough was a spot start He ended up with a monstrous game I mean four touchdowns
Starting point is 00:02:26 327 yards in the comeback attempt Gibbs just 16 for 52 on the ground They bottled him up after Montgomery scored thrice against Buffalo last week But Gibbs had six for 61 through the air Had a touchdown Amon Ra has been I mean he's got four touchdowns through two weeks
Starting point is 00:02:42 13 targets Jameson Williams Yeah, I was going to say Amin-Raw is picking up for the slack of Jameson Williams who is goodness gracious, get it together, man. Two for 33 for JMO, another drop in this one.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Dalton Kincaid. Oh! 7 for 95. You saw DJ Moore go out early in this one. That was a huge bummer. I mean, everybody played DJ more after last week. And he dropped the ball in the end zone and ends up with an AC joint sprain, leaves the game,
Starting point is 00:03:11 doesn't come back. I think he technically had negative fantasy points because he had like one carry for negative one yards and the latest report there you know will he be available this week i'm leaning no but it could happen and he's it's not a broken collarbone that was a fear that i mean it seems like good news honestly like to be like oh you're hurt but when he was crumpled we all if you've we've all watched football long enough to be like oh it's collarbone collarbone and immediately you're like okay what's a collarbone six weeks or more. Yeah, so the fact that you're like, oh, maybe one game,
Starting point is 00:03:48 that would be very good news. Yeah, James Cook was awesome, 21 for 135 and 1, although he did have a couple of the, like they gave him his touchdown finally at the end of that game, but previously it was Allen a couple of times around the goal line, but he was great. And I don't have any stress going into the weekend anymore. I mean, this is wild.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Yeah, the Lions' defensive performance in this game, though, does, I mean, I said it this morning in our Slack channel. I was like, this helps me understand Baltimore minus eight and a half at home because the Lions defense through two weeks is a sieve. And you look at what Chuck did in the second half, and it was awesome. But going to Baltimore against a different defense will be more of a challenge. I kind of get it. But this is how our, like this is, you need multiple weeks of data to kind of start. to fill in, you know, the answers to these defenses that are good and which ones are bad. Well, they ended up, the lions ended up with more defensive injuries, which is going to hurt them
Starting point is 00:04:50 going forward. However, you also have to account for the fact that this is the bills. Like, it's not just, oh, they're a civ. Are the Texans? No. You know, the Texans just got wallop by the bill. So maybe it's both and the Saints and Shuck are really good. It's still, still really small sample, but they did give up 71 points through two weeks. And so, yeah, it's, it is both and pay attention, try to remember all of it over the next couple of weeks because once you're a month into the season, I think you, you really could start playing matchups and understanding what, you know, where things are at. Two matchups, little early. Yeah, this was, this was awesome. What a game. I mean, it delivered. It delivered the magic. It did. It was awesome. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:36 beautiful new stadium. Game was electric. It was. Electric. It was. awesome. The Lions kept it close enough to where the bills had to keep playing. That was my worry halfway through the game. If you had Lions players, you're like, well, like even them going out there and scoring on that last drive and going on side, I wasn't sure they were going to try to score on that drive. When it went into the half, it was like, oh, this game is over. There's not going to be anything from the Lions. The Lions are going to disappoint, you know, universally. I had to watch the game afterwards. I had my son's show. So I knew what was going to happen. I knew the score at halftime.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I knew that the bills won. And then watching it after knowing that, I was like, yeah, this has got good replay value because these guys are awesome. And Dalton Kincaid genuinely, I think is one of the biggest stories. Eight targets, seven for 95. He's getting the yardage. He's getting the targets. He's getting everything that we had hoped and dreamed.
Starting point is 00:06:28 You know, it was my embarrassing. You talked about Kincaid all offseason as, you know, hey, this guy is not dealing with these chronic injuries. he's dealt with in the past. And yeah, it's two weeks. Stay healthy, Dalton. But right now he's delivering on your promises. And there was even more.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Like the Dawson Knox touchdown was a design play for Dalton Kincaid. No question. Josh Allen was booting out, but the defender. Wisely. Out of three, that defender had to choose between three things. And so he chose the right guy. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:00 The best thing he could do was cover Dalton Kincaid and hope that the rest of his teammates could take the other two options. The other two options remained wide open. Yeah, running it in. Josh Allen has decided that he will be a benevolent king. And he will give Dawson. It was really a gracious decision. He could have just jaunted in.
Starting point is 00:07:18 He had to afterwards be like, you're welcome. Yeah. You know that was my touchdown. And I you're getting dinner. I've never said this before, but I was impressed with Kea and Coleman throughout the game as well. DJ Moore, if he missed his time, Palmer, Coleman,
Starting point is 00:07:33 Shakir, maybe it's too many mouths to feed with the tight ends. Keon Coleman six for 63 caught all six of his targets broke his ankle and half and then was fine the next play. I don't know how that happened. He went down in a heap and it was like DJ Moore and him got hurt back to back. And then all of a sudden he was fine. And it'll be something to watch though because that could be one of those swells up. The ankle sprain that you can play through at the moment, but then you miss a week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And I'm sure our audience will not, but don't overreact to Joshua Palmer getting a touchdown in back-to-back weeks. This was like one giant pretty broken play. It was like the DJ Moore touchdown last week. All right, it's Friday. Put Clan Friday. We love you, Foot Clan. That's why every Friday we give a $100 gift card away to Fantasychamps.com to a lucky Foot Clan supporter from Jointhefoot.com. This week's winner, Sir Flop a lot.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Oh, man. These are always fun. LeBron? LeBron is watching? Jason, I had a Luca joke lined up and you went LeBron? I mean, they both Yeah, but we hate one. They're king and queen of the flops.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I would have gone and beat. Sir flop a lot, congrats. We'll send you that $100 gift card. Thank you for supporting the show. Let's talk some NFL news. News and notes from around the league. Nice little injury update. Zayflavers returning to practice on Friday.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Zaymond. Zaman. It's like Raymond. Yeah. Oh, man. His birth name, Zamand. Oh, brother, you're throwing me for a loop now. Everybody loves Zaymond.
Starting point is 00:09:18 What? Oh, crap. Throwing you for a loop as in maybe you get to play a really good player? Yeah, shut up. DJ Moore exited with the left shoulder AC joint spraying. We talked about it. I had a plan. Bengals expect Joe Burrow to play.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Your plane was Devon Vele, right? Oh, no, he's playing regardless. Oh, okay. Because he's a superstar. Nick Underhill said Chris Olave hamstring left practices of cross-man. You were talking about Devon Velae? Yeah. I know. Olave, though, the hamstring. We need to keep an eye on that. Hamstrings are popping up right now. Joe Burrow expected to play. The back injury. Hopefully he'll be fine. His back's just tight. What are you going to do? Nikolns is not going to play, right? Isn't that the news we got this morning?
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yeah, I mean, he's not practicing on Friday. He's got a grade one hamstring issue. I can't fathom he played. The report we got was the expectation is he'll be out. And genuinely, I know Don't, Donald Schultz, the doctor. Yeah. Dr. Schultz is your start of the week. I, I, I, I, I, don't expect him. I can't expect him to have more than 50 yards, but he might have 50 receptions. Yes. I mean, he is going to be peppered with targets. Yeah, Xavier Hutchinson, I think, had six targets last week and then you remove a primary target. He'd be someone, Jalen Knoll. I mean, that's the hard part is there's a bunch of different people. Booty. Yeah, and Booty. Nico Collins did not practice on Thursday, not seen practicing on Friday. We talked about it. Jalen Coker, limited on Thursday with the ankle. Michael Pittman.
Starting point is 00:10:39 This one, yeah. Not practicing on Friday. was a DMP yesterday and is in the, he is firmly in the I'm Injured Doghouse for Aaron Rodgers. Yes, he is. Aaron Rogers, if you listen to him this off season, he talked glowingly about Roman Wilson and, and D.K. Meckoff and Pat Friermuth and then was like, and then Pittman, you know, he hasn't been around. I mean, he was so clearly not happy with Pittman's unavailability due to injury. This, was this the injury he was dealing with through? I don't remember what specific injury Pittman had.
Starting point is 00:11:11 What? I don't remember. Maybe Kyle does. I thought it was more soft tissue. But yeah, Kyle, if you can look up what Pittman missed a lot of the camp with. I think he might be out this week. And then you're talking to Muth might get Luth again. Yeah, I mean, we're late in the week for Pittman to be gone. And also D.K. Metcalf, who we talked about, he had one of the highest expected fantasy points. They were targeting him. They were giving him valuable targets, deep targets. It didn't work out. Because as Mike would say, he sucks. I would never say that. But I would say that Metcalfe seems like a fine play. Oh, he's a good play this week. And I mean, honestly, because there's leagues out there where people,
Starting point is 00:11:52 you glossed over, but Roman Wilson, like 16% target share last week, Aaron Rogers seems to already trust him. It's, I've smelled stinkier trash in my day. Yeah, so Pittman was a hamstring through. camp. This is even worse for him. It's just a new part of the leg. Yeah, I mean, that's not good.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Is a foot part of the leg? No. No. That's a real. Your foot bones connected to the leg bone. Yeah, otherwise it would just be your leg bone. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Good. I didn't know. No, I know you do. So your hand is not part of your arm. Yeah, that makes sense. He's just working through. Yeah. We're working through the science textbooks right now.
Starting point is 00:12:33 401. Oh, very, very. Yeah. Kailin Black. This sucks. Wait, what? What? GROIN injury.
Starting point is 00:12:40 No. Seriously? Let me check the website. Hold on. Let me check the couple of these websites. Yeah. Let's see here. He is on the groin index.com, but let me check butterflystretch.com.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Is he there as well? He is also on butterfly stretch. Oh, we got Jason's name on it. That's probably for the best. Jason Moore. I'm just trying to teach people how to avoid those groin injuries. It's simple. Roin injury prevention.
Starting point is 00:13:05 We need to get the URL up there just for people that might not understand. Ladd McConkey did not practice again on Thursday, worked off to the side with trainers. I would not expect when you have a rib injury, I'm not saying Lad's going to play. But what I'm saying is if he's going to play, I don't think you would have seen a different path to playing this week because a rib injury,
Starting point is 00:13:25 you're not going to take hits. You're not going to go out there and take hits until game time. This is the last update we can give other than Sunday Live. Make sure you follow on YouTube and we'll be there an hour before kickoff. But I don't think that the advice could change from now to then. let's say lad is active. Do you play him and who do you play him over? Yeah, I would say you play an active Ladd-McConkie
Starting point is 00:13:45 after what we saw last week. And I would say he falls pretty much right into where he would have been. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I don't, I'm not going to discount it. If they think he's good enough to go out there and the medical, you know, the medical people say, look, this is something people normally play through. I guess to me.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I'm still going to, I think the PPR stuff's going to be there. To me, there are some guys out there that I would have played. Like, I would have played Ladd if he was healthy over Mike Evans, Parker, Washington, T. Higgins. Yeah, I'd play all three of those over him. Yeah, okay. So let's go a little deeper. Devante Adams or Ladd? I'd probably, I think Ladd with the, I mean, they're heavy home favorites again.
Starting point is 00:14:24 I'm going to play Ladd. Okay. So that's about the waiver sensation, Jalen Coker. He's got his own injury. He does. I would definitely go Ladd there. Okay. Really cool story here.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Michael Pinnock's throwing to practice squad receivers right now while Cooper rush takes majority of throws with starters. While they hope that Tua could somehow play. What a disaster! There's going to be Cooper Rush again. Would you play Pat Fryer Muth over Kyle Pitts? Probably. Hunter Henry. I just had that thought.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I just had that realization right here right now. Donald Schultz. I mean, he should be out there in most situations. Yeah. Luckily for me, it doesn't even matter. You're like, I'm just going to play pits. I am. I don't need. I'm not going to make the middle. Your team when you have a hundred.
Starting point is 00:15:07 points from three players on Thursday night. Yeah, we get it. Maybe I won't play any. Just bench him? Binch. I'll bench. Out of respect. Yeah, just to motivate. But for those out there struggling at the table, my process is like, I, he, of course,
Starting point is 00:15:24 something crazy could happen for Kyle Pitts. But I don't care about that. I'm not playing him with Cooper. The one thing that I'll say is that the Pittsburgh defense is not the Carolina defense that gave up 59 points. So there's a world where I think Carolina will score against Atlanta, and I think Atlanta will be able to score, even with Cooper Rush, against Carolina.
Starting point is 00:15:45 So, I mean, what's the overrunner of that game? Do we have it? Is that only like 40, 41? That's got to be. But they're heavy. They're three and a half point favorites. Drake London is the biggest question mark to me. I mean, Pitts is an easy, pits is an easy guy to swap out, right?
Starting point is 00:16:00 You've got Dalton Schultz that's fine on the waiver wires, grab them, play him, Hunter Henry, whoever, all the names we've been mentioning. but Drake London's a guy that, you know, that was your second pick in a draft. And it's like Terry McLaren, my start of the week, or Drake London, who's a way better player, more investment? Terry. Yeah. Terry. Terry against Dallas.
Starting point is 00:16:21 You got to do it. Process-wise. 43.5. 0.3.5.0. under for that game. 23 to 20 is the implied point total Carolina favored. There you go. Brock Bauer's not practicing again on Thursday. So he's so healthy dead.
Starting point is 00:16:35 He's not playing. any second now. Not meant where he's second to second, guys. I hate to stop. You hate, I know what you're going to say. Wait, can I guess? Yeah, you can guess. You hate that right now you're hating Kubiak.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Yes. I knew it. Because it's like we want to love Kubiak. He's such a brilliant mind. He is doing this to us. Don't be a turd. Like, you don't, you don't need to do it this way. No.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Not everyone. Like, this isn't the standard. You could just, like, I don't know. There's plenty of coaches. out there that are brilliant, that don't have to like, you know, I think about how, what a tight squeeze of information Aaron Glenn keeps. And it's like, okay. Is that how you want to do things? Oh, that's why he's winning. I will remind people with all these injuries and late decisions, Mike will be live an hour before kickoff on Sunday on YouTube, YouTube.com slash the fantasy
Starting point is 00:17:30 footballers for Sunday live. Come and submit your questions. You know, there are thousands of you on there last week. It was super fun. Definitely check that out. We'll take a break. We'll jump into the forecast. Fantasy Forecast Presented by Price Pigs. Can I, can I like talk a little bit about my mindset with my super team for a second? Because I want to just deal with
Starting point is 00:18:01 Can you mute him? Like we've done this show. No, this is not bragging or anything like that. We may cut you off at any moment. That's fine. So keep it clean. We've done this show for so long. We've played fantasy for 20 plus years. I'm saying this is like a different, like I didn't think there was something I haven't seen before.
Starting point is 00:18:17 but I've never had a team that looks this good on paper and should be good, but it's a 17-week season. So I don't even know how to feel about them playing well now because there's injuries and there's things that- Dude, just go to sleep. Don't worry about it. Yeah, you think I'd be fine. I think you should just coast. I'm so used to being a neurotic trader.
Starting point is 00:18:36 No. You don't need to. I sent like 12 trades out this morning and deleted them all. I did. I sent a bunch out because I don't know what else to do. I normally wake up on Monday on trade. So trade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:47 trade away. Well, I tried. People turned down my heels. No matter what you do. It won't matter. It feels like it right now. Yesterday we talked through the Panthers Falcons game we just mentioned. The Vikings, bears, Eagles, Titans, Patriots, Packers, Jets, Browns, Buck and Nears, Saints, Ravens, Bengals, Texans. That's how we, that's what we covered yesterday. Seven more matchups today, starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who looked great in week one. One and O against the Denver Broncos who continue their gauntlet of a schedule to start the year. Broncos O'N-1 Vegas line, Denver, minus.
Starting point is 00:19:17 is two and a half at home. Overrunners 45 and a half in this one. Jags won 34 to 10. Chiefs beat the Broncos 31 to 10. So bounce back. Do we expect it? I mean, the tackling by the Broncos was some of the worst, statistically in history and so frustrating. The worst I've seen with my eyeballs. It was insane. They looked pitiful, but they are well coached in a good team and should bounce back and they're at home and they're favored. So how much do you expect to see the bounce back? And where does that translate in terms of fantasy? Like we've had our week one high draft picks that have failed,
Starting point is 00:19:56 the Colston Loveland's of the world. Waddle's in that category. He seems like the biggest question mark to me on this team right now is like, do you have the same, like Loveland, do you have no qualms? Throw them right back out there, let's go. Do you feel the same about Waddle? Not as strong as Loveland, but I'm not as strong. more than one game happened.
Starting point is 00:20:17 The guy with the brand new team, it was definitely a bummer. But, I mean, he's... They brought him in for a reason. And I don't think that the... While the Jags were awesome against the Browns... Yeah, it was the Browns. Like, I want to see their defense against not Deshaun Watson
Starting point is 00:20:38 before I start really formulating that opinion. So I'm... Waddle is right back into the lineup for me. Just for, you know, Sutton, who is seemingly like the least popular player that could exist because Pat Bryant's sexy and exciting and Waddle's the new arrival, he led the team in snaps at wide receiver. Cortland Sutton had more than Waddle. He had more than Pat Bryant. I just noticed that he also had a target share that just trailed Pat Bryant. So I don't think the team looks at Sutton.
Starting point is 00:21:12 I don't think they look at it as a, it's this guy or that guy. Right? It's everybody, one big group. That's been a problem before with Mims and Franklin and guys getting involved and we expected Sutton to do it. So this will be a week to me where if Jalen Waddle doesn't have eight targets, I will start being really worried that it will not necessarily be a 1A alpha that we're expected. Like we expected with the draft capital they gave up to get him the money. Like they're saying, hey, he's our, he's our Drake London, he's our JSA, he's our leader. of the wide receiver room and the target share needs to go through him. This matchup is very different than the Kansas City Chiefs.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I mean, we don't know what the Jags defense is because they played the Browns Week 1. But if you look at last year, they were pretty doggone good against the run most of the year. And they were just an average team against the pass. So this is an average NFL matchup. There's a team that should be able to score on the Broncos because they're a good defense. That could get in the way of a wide receiver. So to me, this matchup is like the perfect wrestling. for your average game where you can pass the ball.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Does Jalen Waddle get eight plus targets? Is he like the one for the offense, or is he one of the pieces in the offense? Are you playing Parker Washington on the other side over him? Yeah, I am. So, yeah, I mean, 45.5 point over under. It's not, you know, it's fine, it's good. It makes me wonder, you know, R.J. Harvey,
Starting point is 00:22:42 he had 51% of the snaps at running back. He is questionable right now. He's dealing with the you-hoo. That'd be a hamster. When you put it like that, though, if it sounds like something else. If he's out, we might finally see Jonah Coleman on the field. It's true, and I think that's exciting.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I don't think that there's a world you can start him. I'm not even sure if you can start J.K. Dobbins this week. Like I said, this is a team that last year was very good against the run. You can start Dobbin. I guess with RJ Harvey out, if he's out, Dobbins is okay, but I'm not bullish on him. Really? Yeah, I would think that Dobbins would get more work. I'm pretty interested in Dobbins. If Harvey misses, though, this is, that's the window that Jonah Coleman needs.
Starting point is 00:23:25 And like, because Jonah Coleman has to get on field, get some tape, start earning the trust. He has been kind of the biggest concern for the success of Dobbins. If an injury like this happens to Harvey, I don't think, once the genie's out for Jonah Coleman, that I think that's what ends up happening. But for this week, Dobbins will be in my starting lineup. I like Bachela Tuting a lot this week, although there was a report this morning that LeQuint Allen is going to get more and more third down snaps
Starting point is 00:23:56 according to Liam Cohen. That's fine. So we'll see what happens there. Parker Washington is a star. Brian Thomas Jr. to me is a must bench this week. I would not mess around with the shoulder injury. He got knocked out early last week. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:24:09 A good defense. I think you can find another option out there like valet. He can, he's the, like, Velae seems to be the litmus test of like the spot start this week. He does. But I mean, Pat Bryan on the other side, would you play him over Ryan Thomas Jr.? Yes, I would. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Pat Bryant looks like he's in the, you know, like Troy Franklin. Jason. Hey, it's Franklin. Yeah, I mean, if you want to go ahead and hit that. Sometimes you do it for the last time. Yeah. Sometimes you know it's getting retired. Troy Franklin's role in that offense last year.
Starting point is 00:24:39 He got a ton of targets. And it's like, I think that. That's Pat Ryan's job now, where even if Cortland Sutton's in there, you know, running on the field more, Pat Bryant's going to get more targets. And then just for Bachelutein, Tutin is a tackle-breaking machine. Like this is part of what he does. Kenneth Walker, tackle-breaking machine. I mean, the fantasy algebra doesn't always work out, but.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Make Denver prove they can tackle you. And if you're good at it, even when people do tackle well, yeah, that's a good point. point. Trevor Lawrence, I think it's not the best start matchup-wise on the road in Denver, but I imagine if you started them last week and got 2.45 and 4, you're going to roll them right back out there and trust Liam
Starting point is 00:25:24 Cohen. And then Bo Nix, I'd find someone else to kind of lead my team until he proves that he can get it going. By the way, a quick update for you since we covered the game yesterday. I'll tackle this real quick. A further update on Zaymond Flowers.
Starting point is 00:25:41 He did return to practice, did very little during the media viewing portion, spoke to teammates and coaches, did not do any running during media viewing at all. So the full practice or back at practice thing, will he be limited on the official report? We have an injury blitz podcast that comes out Friday afternoon by Kyle or by Matthew Betts.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I almost say Kyle Betts, which they kind of merged. They are. That would imply an amount of technological advancement to Matthew Betts that he doesn't possess. Kyle just screamed, do not. Do not combine them. But there you go.
Starting point is 00:26:17 They flower is still very much in question. Mike, your plans now. That's so much worse. You had plans to not have flowers and you were so bummed when flowers was available. Well, but he's not available. Well, you should be happy. This is worst case scenario. Is it?
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yes. Oh, darn, the year of mine. Las Vegas. Los Angeles. Yeah, I did like when you're like, I've, I've never seen. this with my team. Super duper champ over here. Oh, dear you. You know there's a big difference in what I was talking about.
Starting point is 00:26:48 You ended. I want to be in the playoffs. You didn't go into the season. Like you had, Josh was had a better record than you last year. Yes. That's all I'm saying. Like, I think it's a, it's a heavy burden to bear. That's all I'm saying. I don't know why Josh is catching strays over there. Catching strays by having the best record. And then losing. Ah.
Starting point is 00:27:08 You just gave him the stray. It was implied. is all over the place. The Raiders 1 and 0 against the Chargers 0 and 1. Of course. Vegas line, Chargers minus 6 and 1 half. O'Runners 43 and a half.
Starting point is 00:27:22 What I saw, no, I know I already hit the button once. But what I saw on tape last week from the Raiders' defense in particular and the Chargers' offensive line against the Cardinals brings me great concerns here. There are three things that have happened
Starting point is 00:27:38 in the last few days. One is the Chargers are favored by almost a touchdown. So it's like, okay, the complete forgiveness. The chargers are going to be totally fine. Then there is the, we were looking at MVP odds after the game last night for quarterback. And right there last on the list, you could still bet. You could still bet on Justin Herbert.
Starting point is 00:28:02 And it's like, brother. Oh, you're just. And then we were doing our, our, we were doing. They know they could just, all the Herbrose are like, yeah, fine, give me your money. we're doing the picks. Dumbo. We were like, every,
Starting point is 00:28:14 every week we have like a fun roll. Just like an office pool for the pitch. No money. Just a pool where we're picking the lines every week. And I come to this matchup and I'm like, six and a half. And I was like, oh,
Starting point is 00:28:27 you know what? I'm going to click on the charges. I'm going to completely forgive them. And I mentioned that and then Mike's like, I kind of am too, but it's like it feels like we know it's a trap. We are this week against the Raiders at home. Dude. Chargers, Herbert, you have got to get it together and send a message.
Starting point is 00:28:48 If you don't win this game, I'm about to tell you the story of stories. You ready? Yeah. If you don't win this game at home against Las Vegas, because by the way, the Cardinals were supposed to be the easy one. And this one, too. Let me tell you what they're doing next. Oh, their schedule, yeah. Just listen. Just watch the plane fly around the country here. You ready? Week three at Buffalo. Oh, but don't worry, Jason. Week four, you want to get back on. contract. You just started off with a tough start at Seattle. Okay. Wait. I go from Buffalo to the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahogs.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston, Baltimore the next week. What? I'm not joking. Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston. Four of them on the road. You got in Los Angeles against the Rams. They'll be back in this building. You have two days to figure everything out because that's it. You got two days left to fix it all.
Starting point is 00:29:43 So, yeah, this is, this is completely the most important game of their season right now because you are staring down by week winlessness, potentially. You could be 0 and 6 going into the buy. It's not impossible. Holy moly. After this week, three of your four games are at Buffalo, at Seattle, at Kansas City. You have to imagine they are decent underdogs in all three of those. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Wow. So, yeah, Mike McDaniel, he said it was a case of hum. Humble pie, I'm losing to the Cardinals. How dare you? Humble pie tastes terrible. How dare you? All right, start sit decisions in this one. You know, the Hampton thing, I think last week it's like, what are you watching? This week, what are you looking for confirmation on or continuing to keep an eye on to see what your decisions are?
Starting point is 00:30:34 You know, Hampton this week, that's where my eyes are. I want to see this guy play well. there has been some talk in the past you know three or four days about the scheme fit not necessarily being right um lad mconkey the injury him not out there they looked way worse on offense
Starting point is 00:30:53 without him out there Mike you're throwing your hat in with Quentin Johnson this week yeah I mean understand what it is but yeah I think you complain yeah and then other than you know Herbert you going back to him this week or are you trying to pivot?
Starting point is 00:31:10 I'm going back. Just like we were saying about Jacksonville playing the Browns, Raiders played Miami, who Miami's, Miami's probably going to end up being the worst team in the NFL. So let's see some more from the Raiders. Until they give me a reason to really believe
Starting point is 00:31:32 and not target them, then I'm going to do it. So I'll play Herbert. Gentie was great in week one, got the ball a lot in the receiving game, you can play him. Bower's probably not playing. You probably have better options than Michael Mayer, although he led the team in targets last week, so he's not the worst.
Starting point is 00:31:48 I don't think it's complicated on the Raider side in terms of starts. Correct. I mean, you're not playing a wideout on the road, six point underdogs. You're not playing cousins. You're not playing, probably not playing a tight end. So, you know. Jack Bash is on pace for 17 touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Thank you. Thank you for that. The Washington commanders, O and one, taking on the Dallas Cowboys who were O and one, Vegas line Dallas minus three and a half at home over under 50 and a half. As Kyle would call it, the backwards hat versus the visor. That's right. Yeah, you've got Dan Quinn with the backwards cap. Looks so cool. And then the visor on Schottenheimer.
Starting point is 00:32:27 You know, the idea of visors is very funny. Because you're like, you're not going to cover the head. Yeah, you're like, I want to shade the eyes. But it's a little too warm on the top of the dome. How do we possibly fix this? Maybe it's, you don't want hat hair. But you still get a visor hair, man. Yeah, it pushes.
Starting point is 00:32:44 The worst part of hat hair is the front when everything is is diveted to the back. Yeah, it's a forced, you know, front. Cowlick. Cowlick, yeah. All right, starts the decisions in this one. Dak, Jaden Daniels, I think they're both in your lineup, right? Dak has got a – Dak is the highest projection of the week on price picks with 266.5 yards.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Yeah. I think I would agree with this. I mean, these were two of the worst defenses in football last year. And, you know, the commanders definitely didn't get blown out in week one against Philly. I think they looked okay, especially stopping Saquan. But, yeah, you're starting all your stars in this one. JCM, Mike, your start of the week. Jason, you're going to give Terry McLaurin a pat on the butt and say, hey, this is your week against Dallas.
Starting point is 00:33:32 50 and a half, man. He should be, he should be absolutely fine. I think that means that dig should be fine. And I think Antonio Williams is interesting to keep an eye on. There was a, can't credit it, I apologize, but before the season started, you know, it was, I don't necessarily think it was like a bold take, but it was a, like, these are things that are, that are a little spicier, but we truly think can happen out of Washington. They're like, Diggs is probably going to lead this team in receptions and yards and stuff,
Starting point is 00:34:03 just based off of what he does versus Terry McLaurin. So is Diggs, the safer? play between Diggs and McLaurin? Oh, I think it's a higher upside. Yeah. So would you start Diggs or Velae? He's got both. Mike has both. He's probably starting both. I will be starting both. But if in the, if you had to pick one, I'll play Diggs. Me too. Really? Yeah, I would definitely play Diggs. I would play Diggs over McClorn.
Starting point is 00:34:27 For sure, in any situation. Man, but that's also, you know, it feels hot. Yeah, I, but I don't know, man. I, I'm very, very. interested in what this offense is going to turn into with these three guys. Dallas is always easy. Dak, CD, George. Put them in your lineup. Javante Williams. Yep. Put him in your lineup. The only one that's difficult for some people out there is Jake Ferguson. He's a name that people think, oh, should I start him in? Probably not. He's still running tons of routes, so you might get a... It's a great matchup. The commanders have been bad against the tight-in position, so there's that going for you, but no.
Starting point is 00:35:10 He hasn't hit double-digit fantasy points since week seven of last year. When George and C.D. are available, Fergie takes the back seat. Seattle's want to know, Jason, taking on the Arizona Cardinals who are also want to know, pretty much the same as the chance. Everybody's all coming.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Vegas line, Seattle mine is three and a half on the road. The over-under is 40 and a half. This is the second lowest total of week two, and it makes sense because it's part one, Backup quarterback Drew Locke. Part two, great defense against Arizona,
Starting point is 00:35:42 should be able to slow them down. Could the Cardinals start 2 and O? Seems that it is in the realm of possibility. Yeah, because they are 1 and 0. Right. Yeah, yeah, the math checks out there. I was with you in turn, last week of the almost upset because the spread was just 10 and a half.
Starting point is 00:36:04 That's too egregious against a team that has up a, a potent offense. This one, though, the Seattle defense is just so elite that it would surprise me. A lot. Well, then does that impact your start decisions for Arizona? Because, you know, Jeremiah Love, is he a lock in your lineup? It's brutal. Look, the prize picks projections on both Jeremiah Love and Alger are pretty much neck and
Starting point is 00:36:30 neck when it comes to rushing yards, 37 and a half for Love, 36 and a half for Tyler Algier. Those are not high numbers. No, they are. For Jeremiah Love, the nice thing was, I mean, they gave him the, what, the carry inside the five. I think they were inside the five when he got the touchdown. Whatever, they were very close. And the targets are going to go to Jeremiah Love. But this will be a pretty split backfield. I think you're flipping a coin like week to week as right now the way things are between who's more valuable of Alger or Jeremiah Love, which feels disgusting. Cardinals at home. Judarian Price had 48% of snaps. Would you play Price over either Cardinal in this matchup? That is so brutal. You know that-
Starting point is 00:37:14 Hampton got slowed down last week by Arizona. I mean, very surprisingly. It really seems like you right now can expect kind of 50%-ish of the snaps for price. The matchup is still significantly better. I know you get the green though. I mean, the Walter Nolan edition for the Cardinals versus what they didn't have them for a lot of last year. I think that's making a difference on the interior. So, Andy, where's your confidence with price in terms of the gold line?
Starting point is 00:37:43 Not high. That's like, no, I mean, I, but it's not high for love either. Yeah, I mean, I think one guy has a salami problem and one guy's got an Alger problem. But I think Jeremiah Love is the better player, and that's the player I would go. That's how I have them. I was looking at my rankings. I have them 24 and 25. Who hasn't had a salami problem at some point in time?
Starting point is 00:38:04 I mean, who, yeah, who, who, amongst us. Jackson Smith and Jigba, yep. Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison. You got one of these guys. You've got to play a Cardinal receiver. To throw Kendrick Bourne in the mix. Which guy do you start? Michael Wilson.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Yeah, see, that was very definitive. Because it wasn't before week one. And that says something. When you, Marv, Marv is a player. I'm not dropping Marv. Not yet. But the he is definitely one where it's like,
Starting point is 00:38:34 I have to see it happen. before I have any level of confidence. So here's the weird thing. So Seattle, right-favored, Super Bowl champs, great defense. Is J-S.N the only player you're playing on this team this week? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, are you trying to find an alternate to Jeddaring Price? No, I think he's a fine running back too.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Yeah, I've got him at running back 24, so he's, or 25, so he's playable. But I don't, I'm not excited about Price. I mean, genuinely, I'm not excited about most players in this game. You talked about it at the beginning. It's one of the lowest over-underers on the week. week. Obviously, JSN is great because of his talent and also because his target market share is outrageously otherworld. He's just the whole offense. Trey McBride, JSN, those are the only two people I really want to start in this game. Marvin Harrison, where are you right now after one week? He ran go routes. He was bracketed.
Starting point is 00:39:26 He looked okay. Going back and watching the film. Obviously, he had a drop. It was a pretty okay drop. I rewatch that. That was not an easy catch. That was a blast across the middle, way behind him. I'm not sure he could have caught it. Yeah, depending on it. It was much, a different angle made it look much more difficult. I think Marvin Harrison will be involved. He was open on a lot of routes.
Starting point is 00:39:49 And the thing is, is he wasn't necessarily targeted, but the plays still worked. I mean, you had Kendrick Bourne with eight catches, Michael Wilson with five. The offense was humming. But I don't think Harrison did anything bad. I don't, you know, I believe that in certain weeks he's going to be fine. This isn't the matchup I want to be like, I'm going to call my shot on Marv. I think Marv is involved. I think Marv will get, you know, more than 35 yards.
Starting point is 00:40:21 But I don't sit there and see he's going to have 102 touchdowns. Ad break coming up. We'll get into the Dolphins in 49er game. By the way, play Tray McBride. If you weren't planning on it, please do that. play him. He's pretty good at football. And so far, pass rate above expectation, like Arizona, Jacoby Brissette. Yeah, it was still high.
Starting point is 00:40:41 The drum continues to beat for that offense. They look good in week one. It would be a huge win against Seattle in week two, and it'll probably be more of a dog fight, I think, this week. The Miami Dolphins. Oh, boy. Oh, and one with a rough week one. Go to San Francisco. Oh, and two.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Yeah, I mean, this one is wild. San Francisco, it's not 13 and a half anymore. It's San Francisco minus 12 and a half. The overrunner is 44 and a half. Cowards. I am shocked that the line moved that direction. Cowards. So that's an implied point total for the
Starting point is 00:41:21 for the dolphins of 16. And that's a bad number. 28 for the 49ers. So in the Brock Purdy era, when 49ers teams have been favored by 10 or more points, it's happened nine times. They were 9 and 1, and they scored more than 27 points in all nine games.
Starting point is 00:41:39 They deliver when heavily favored. And it's a hard bet to say Miami is going to deliver. We are gathering information on these rookie whiteouts, I think, for Miami that, you know, Caleb Douglas looked amazing in week one. 94 receiving yards in your debut. That is the third highest debut for a day two wide receiver over the last decade. Chris Bell, only 52% of snaps in week one, two targets, one drop, one catch. And then Malique Washington still has.
Starting point is 00:42:09 a number of targets in this game. Didn't see a lot from Dulcich. That was something we were watching the week one. But they're probably going to be playing from behind. You're looking at your value for Achan to be coming in the receiving game or the big play. So it's hard to have much of an expectation. You don't bench Devon A. Chan, but the other guys in this matchup, you're not wanting to play any of them. Yeah, the only one that I might put out there in that valet tier would be Caleb Douglas.
Starting point is 00:42:37 You know, if you're getting as much work as he got in his first week as a rookie, you're going to be down and you're going to be throwing the ball a lot. I expect targets to go to him with 16 implied points. You don't assume that he's going to have a lot of huge fantasy success. So he's like just a PPR floor play. That would be the second player on this offense outside of A-chan. I guess Malik Willis in certain situations because of his rushing upside would be there. But yeah, I mean, you just don't want dolphins. The team stinks.
Starting point is 00:43:11 You want some 49ers? Yes, please. By the way, Malik in that stinky week once ended up as the quarterback 13 on the week. And he looked bad, in my opinion. I don't think he played well. Which is you can make the argument like, oh, that's good news. I mostly agree with you. Because he can, you know, he can figure it out, get more.
Starting point is 00:43:32 He's working with- 220 passing yards, 39 rushing yards. Well, I just mean like his accuracy. I felt like there were a lot of bad throws. But at the same time, he's dealing with two rookies playing a ton of snaps that one of which he didn't really play with through camp. So could be brighter days. I mean, to your point of like Malik Washington led the team in Target share.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Yep. And air yards. And Caleb Douglas was the talking point because he's the one who actually got the production. It was like Malik Washington should have had the production. But Willis didn't get it to him. Brock Purdy is my start of the week. Christian McCaffrey, yes, please. Caleb Black with the injury report,
Starting point is 00:44:10 will they bring somebody else up? Will he be okay? We'll see. He was 43% of snaps and 15 opportunities last week. Would imagine Jordan James is not a healthy scratch if Kailen Black can't play, but do they put... Christian McAfree is just going to get all the work.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I would think so. I've had Jordan James on my dynasty team for three years, or two years, however long he's been in the league. I dropped in this week with Kaelin Black's emergence, and I just needed to pick somebody else. It's just ironic. It's just one of those things where... I think it's going to be okay.
Starting point is 00:44:37 It doesn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Mike Evans, you play Hamdibo. I think you're good there too. I think both these guys. Spot start to Marcus Robinson. If you're desperate, I mean, two catches last week. After the departure of stribling, you're looking for the touchdown with Robinson.
Starting point is 00:44:53 And George Kittle, limited practices. You're going to see more of that. Only played 46% of snaps, but now Tongis basketball is out for the year. Jake Tongis, not an alternative option for this. team. Kettle to me showed me enough to where I'm really excited for the second half of the year and also absolutely not starting him now.
Starting point is 00:45:12 So he is just a roster. Shultz. Yeah, all those. Johnson. Yep. Goddard. All those guys. All those guys that start over. Kyle Pitts or Kittle? Who's the quarterback? It's going to be Cooper Rush. Then Kittle, because he could get a touchdown. Harold Fannin or George Kittle.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Oh, that's a good one. Disgusting. Fana. Yeah, I'd go Fannin. Colts, Sunday Night Football, taking on the cheese. So we get more prime time. Ken, Bone, Walker, Chiefs, minus six and a half, over under 46 and a half. Good work, schedule people. Honestly, the schedule people. All need to relish in his greatness.
Starting point is 00:45:45 These first two weeks scheduled people are kicking butt. I mean, these primetime games are fantastic. Read the Eric B. Enemy quote. Yeah, I will. This is for Mike, but it's also for everyone else out there who drafted Kenneth Walker. Eric B. Enemy, who Mike brought up all offseason as one of the reasons he loves Ken Walker in Kansas City. I hadn't seen this. You haven't seen this quote?
Starting point is 00:46:06 Oh. He says, quote. You want to read it? Yeah, why don't you read it? Sure. He says, quote, ideally, what did he have? 23 carries? Some people have carried a whole lot more than that.
Starting point is 00:46:16 So I don't think you want to put a limit on anything. I think sky is the limit. Oh, brother. This is delightful. I mean, it's why he went to Kansas City. My bone, bro. Yeah. Oh, another.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Woo! Yeah. I don't like being Heifel Tower. I need to get. Kenneth Walker in one of these leagues so I can't join in. Good luck with that. I know. It's over.
Starting point is 00:46:39 I can't. I told you to draft it. I mean, look, barring injury, which is the story of all players, you know, Christian McCaffrey and all these guys, he's going to be so good every week. Running back. Defense and run the football. Early on in the year for fantasy football, you want to see utilization. How are they using players?
Starting point is 00:47:01 Kenneth Walker is going to be everything. Maybe he can't, you know, all the... What sucks about this situation is, like, the people that, if Kenneth Walker gets hurt, which he probably will, because he's playing NFL football. He's most likely going to get hurt because running bats get hurt. Goodness gracious, the victory lap on Kenneth Walker missing a game or two is going to be so obnoxious.
Starting point is 00:47:30 You're like, I told you. Yeah, he plays four. football. He's probably going to get hurt. 24% of top 24 running backs over the last 10 years play in a complete season. So you have a three-quarter chance, you know, 75% chance that you're going to miss a game. Rashi Rice, guys, two for 19 last week. Troubling. Was terrible if you look at the separation scores in week one in terms of being able to, you know, get apart from the DB.
Starting point is 00:47:57 I think you're going to play him in this game. I don't think you don't play Rashi Rice, but you're tempered expectations probably. Absolutely. I think if you have Rashi Rice, you are praying for a touchdown and then you are trying to ship him out of town as soon as humanly possible. The utilization, and I know he's coming back from the knee injury. Maybe it'll completely change. But I think this is an Eric B. Enemy and Kenneth Walker change of offense where Rushi Rice isn't just. the hey I'm going to target you pretty much every other passing play. They had no one else. Yeah. You can you can actually throw the ball to Kenneth Walker. I think as funny as it is, I think there's a world where Cyrus Allen is getting more and more and more snaps towards the back half of the year.
Starting point is 00:48:47 They've talked about bringing them along really slowly. What I saw from the wide receiver room in week one was we need to get a possession receiver. Yeah. They can go out there and run a 15 yard in or something and catch the football. That's not Thornton. That's not Rice. It's probably not Kelsey anymore. I'm not telling you to go pick them up.
Starting point is 00:49:05 I think this is just deep league, crazy deep league, dynasty leagues. But if I'm the chiefs, I'm like, I need to get a wide receiver on this team. And there have been rumors that are turning into like things I think are going to happen that Tyree Kiel will join this team by the midpoint of the season. I had not heard that. Yeah, he said. So there have been some stuff going out there. A reunion is possible.
Starting point is 00:49:27 And if this team is cooking halfway through the year, I've seen Tyreek running now. breaking. Our dynasty team, Mike. You still got Tyreek? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Jonathan Taylor. This is going to be a hard matchup, but you never sit him.
Starting point is 00:49:43 So just play him because one play is all it takes. Alec Pierce practicing on Friday, so they gave him some time off. But that's good to see. Keenan Allen and Josh Downs, I'm afraid these guys are going to kind of cannibalize each other throughout the year when you also have to mix in Tyler Warren. That one was wild. And Warren, by the way, horrible weeks. saved by the touchdown. I mean, three for 13 on 93% of snaps was disappointing to me too.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Keenan Allen, the Keenan Allen Josh Downs situation of Josh Downs being out there for such a high percentage of dropbacks and routes for the Colts. And yet Keenan Allen leading the target share, it will be something to watch. Yeah. Are you playing Alec Pierce or, you know, where are you with him? This is a tough matchup. I'm willing to play Pierce, but it's more of his like a hopefully a wide receiver three. I think he's a great trade for target right now as he gets back into full snap counts. When you get half snaps and, you know,
Starting point is 00:50:40 he's supposed to be their dude. And so he's coming off an injury, didn't get a lot of practice, didn't get training camp, played 59% of snaps was still four for 61. I mean, like, right. I mean, that's the name of the game for him.
Starting point is 00:50:53 15 points to a carry or a catch again. Like, that's a target for me. Are you not where? I mean, I can totally see him being a target. for the second half of the season. But as far as this week, in a tough matchup, are you not worried about the fact
Starting point is 00:51:07 he didn't practice on Thursday, I believe? Correct. That just seems... Yeah, that's what I brought up. That seems bad. If you practice on Wednesday and you don't practice on Thursday. That's why I was asking Mike
Starting point is 00:51:18 if he liked it because it's a bad matchup. I would not be comfortable starting Alec Pierce. Those other guys... No, I just want to trade for him now. That we've got in that valet tier, I would throw those guys in personally. You guys want to watch a Monday night game? Giants, Jackson Dart.
Starting point is 00:51:31 company, Cam Scada, we'd go to L.A. and take on the Rams who looked pretty bad in week one. They looked quite tired. They looked tired, but they also have missing personnel. Maybe Aaron Donald comes back this week. Maybe he doesn't, but Miles Garrett's going to be gone. And in week one, it was, they give up 40 points to wide receivers. That's not great. We'll see what happens in this one because the Giants look great in week one. Los Angeles minus seven, the world expecting them to bounce back over under 48 points. It gives the Rams, 28. The Giants 20. So you expect full bounce back for the Rams in this one on the offensive side. Puka, Adams, Kyron, Corum, Stafford. Yeah, I mean, we left Australia saying we're throwing
Starting point is 00:52:15 the game away. Yes. And it's hard to do that because we just saw them be like not show up to a game. But I do think that that is the mentality. The most difficult one for me is Devante Adams because there was a world where at his age he comes in and has lost it. There's also the issue of utilization versus performance where he wasn't utilized inside the 10. He wasn't on the field inside the 10, which was and is his superpower. So he scares me a little bit. I'm still starting him. You think that's prescriptive of this team?
Starting point is 00:52:46 I don't. I don't think that. They did real good when they utilized them. Yes. So I feel like that was an anomaly. I believe changes will come. but he's the only player that what I saw in week one from the Rams scares me that it might be prescriptive.
Starting point is 00:52:59 Yeah. The other guys. Just because the age component. That you're just like. The age and the weird, like, why would they, I mean, I think they'll fix the. Still 22% of the targets. Inside the 10 stuff. Yeah, I would go back to him, a league neighbors.
Starting point is 00:53:13 I mean, six for 69 coming back from a serious injury. When like two hours before the game, he was not sure he could go and play. Isaiah likely He's back baby Yeah I mean Isaiah likely Camp Scataboo dart I mean it's a pretty It's a pretty clean four pack there I think
Starting point is 00:53:30 Darts Scatabu neighbors likely Keep your eyes on Malachi Fields Because I just I like to do I think he's a good player But I'm not starting him The The Camp Scataboo Rout share will be
Starting point is 00:53:43 Something to pay attention to Because we you know He's just coming back from his injury So maybe they were trying to lessen that for him where Devin Singletary was kind of the receiving back for the team
Starting point is 00:53:57 but yeah but that was it stunk it really it really sunk that they didn't throw him he's such a good pass catcher I but it's saying like this is a this is the new regime yeah where you can't just copy paste last year's receiving work to the new to the new play caller
Starting point is 00:54:14 yeah it's the play caller is the issue I don't think it's the health I don't think it's coming back off the injury because they give them tons of work they They did not seem like they were rusting him or giving him low snaps. It seemed like on passing downs, he wasn't the back they were utilizing. Hopefully that changes. It could have been a situation where it was Tyrone Tracy, who was really the guy they wanted to be that. And then he took himself out of the game and then they're like, okay, well, the other pack.
Starting point is 00:54:40 And maybe this week. He's having a bad month. He's having a bad year. So hopefully Scataboo gets more involved. I do think, obviously, you've got Miles Garrett on the IR. Right now it looks like Aaron Donald is trending towards playing, but it's not confirmed. They're hopeful he will play Monday night against the Giants.
Starting point is 00:55:01 I don't know if that impacts whether you're, I mean, you've got to make your decisions ahead of Monday night. I'm not sitting scatibou in any situation. You're not sitting scataboo. I don't think you're sitting neighbors in any situation, and the question then becomes just likely, and you're not sitting dark. So then all three.
Starting point is 00:55:18 They're all playing. Joe Burrow practiced on Friday. A little injury update for you. He feels good. Jalen Coker, not on the injury report. So at least he seemed to tell the truth about it not being a big deal. Chiga Concoe hamstring ruled out against the Cowboys. Go ahead, Mike. Just will it into existence. Mike, you want to tell the people who I picked up in our shared dynasty league?
Starting point is 00:55:37 I am the Senate. Yeah, Jason did me a very solid friendship move. That's the connection between co-managers. Ben Senate was picked up. Let's go, baby There you go. I mean, Jesse Bates' touchdown on the way. Here we go. Almost certainly.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Almost certainly. Let's jump into the face-off. Fantasy face-off, presented by prize picks. All righty, week one in the books. It was a successful week. We went, what is it, 10 of 12 on the picks from this section. So, Jason, it's time. Oh, that's a very...
Starting point is 00:56:25 Here we've got a new wheel. We've got a new wheel showing up behind us here. The wheel of shame. All right, let's spin that wheel. Also, I do this in protest because my line up catch and I got three out of four right. Cheesehead. Oh, no. Oh, the lorax.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Oh, the lorax. All right. Jason, the trees. The trees. First, go ahead and take care of that. What is this? Yeah, you got to take your hat off. Yeah, you got to put that over your head.
Starting point is 00:56:56 Well, then. Oh. Oh, you left the glasses on. That's a way to do it. I feel like I'm going to rob a bank. You will have to take the glasses off anyways. You're going to rob a bank, but then also do some construction on the way out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:07 I've got to stay safe. He's working on it. He's working on it. Oh, get under there. Come on. You need some help? Mentally? Yes.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Oh, you look good. Oh, this is nice. Here you go, Jason. I might rock this. Andy Reed? Oh, is that you? All right. We are into it.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Jason, you look great. Thank you. Even under protest. All right, let's go ahead and kick it off here. Also, might I just say, great job us. Because last week, you went four for four. Yeah. Fur for fur.
Starting point is 00:57:41 For Mike and I went three for four. It was a nice week. All right, I'm going to kick it off here. Christian McCaffrey, Green Goblin, starting it off. 16.5 receiving yards. I'm taking the more. That's the, that's the, uh, wait, how much? 16 and a half.
Starting point is 00:57:58 That's about a free square if I've ever heard of. Is that the first drive? Is that first reception? All right, Jason. Who's your running? Why are we not on his solo cam? Yeah. I mean, what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:58:10 All right. My. Hey, Loraxes get old too. Yeah. Look, Loraxes need glasses. Okay. And then your glasses need glasses. Oh, my running back start of the week.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Or whatever this is. My prize is. I'm going with Aaron Jones, Senior. all alone without Jordan Mason, more than 61 and a half rushing yards. I think he gets it done on the ground. Okay. Does he? Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:34 He does. That's spicy. I'm going with Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals, 21 and a half receiving yards. I will take the more. All right. Moving to the quarterback position next. I just realized that this isn't supposed to cover my mouth. This is a lot easier.
Starting point is 00:58:50 I'm like talking through fabric. You had the fabric? I had it up over my top of lip. Because you were going to rob the bank. Yeah. All right, I'm going Kirk Cousins. What? At the quarterback position.
Starting point is 00:59:02 And that's not a goblin? More than 192.5 passing yards this week in L.A. I like it. I'm taking Kirk Cousins. You get a little crazy. That's right. What do you got, Lorex? All right.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Well, this is my green goblin. I've got Jordan Love. Oh, you're going back to the well of the only one you lost last week. Got it. But he's going more than 183.5 passing yards. Okay, that's your green goblin. That is my green goblin. It would be funny if he let you get twice.
Starting point is 00:59:30 He threw for almost 400 yards last. Yeah, I think they're going to let him throw the ball on, and they can't really run with Marshall Lloyd. That seems better than the rushing attempts for him this week. Yeah. My green goblin is my quarterback as well. I'll be taking a Tyler Shuck, the Shuck Daddy himself, 17 and a half past completions.
Starting point is 00:59:49 I'm going to go more. Okay. So you're going completions. You ready for this one? Wide receiver. You told me I didn't have to do the Kirk Cousins one. right? Oh, what are you doing? Brian Thomas Jr. Oh, I wanted
Starting point is 01:00:01 Jaylen Naler. You just said you did not want to start Brian Thomas Jr. 36.5 receiving yards. I'm taking the less. Dude. Oh, all right. What a reveal to take the lower number on the guy you don't like. Okay. Well, I've got a similar one. Marvin Harrison Jr., 34 and a half
Starting point is 01:00:22 yards. What? I'm taking the more. 34 and a half. I'm taking more. I think he can get that on one reception, which he almost did last week. He'll be more involved. Is that the- Are you sure it wasn't 60 and a half? Is this an issue with Jason not being able to read? What am I doing? It's 60 and a half, Jason. For Marvin Harrison? No, it's not. It's 34 and a half. It's in the screenshot that I sent you. Okay, we'll give him the 34-5. Marvin Harrison, Jr., 34 and a half. What a disaster for the LORX. I got Matthew Golden because I also believe in Jordan Love this week. Matthew Golden, the 46 and a half receiving yards. I will go more. Look at you.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Matthew Golden. Hey, this is, you know, last year was the year of Mike. This is the year of Mike forgiveness. I'm going to go with another wild one for you. Trey McRide at the tight-in position. 60.5 receiving yards. Maybe that is where the confusion. Yeah, that feels easy.
Starting point is 01:01:16 That might have been confused. I'm going less. I'm taking less. I think Seattle's defensive focus will, it fits with your over, Jason. I'm going Tram McBride less than 60 and a half. I think their elite defense will focus entirely on Tram McBride this week. I hope so.
Starting point is 01:01:33 I'm going to take the less. Okay, my tight end. Look, I'm going back to the well from last week. Darren Waller, who looked good, is getting more healthy, more involved. He's at 17.5 receiving yards. That feels very easy for him to pass that. Wasn't that what he was last week? Yeah, I mean, and he crushed it.
Starting point is 01:01:51 So more snaps. All right. More easy. 17 and a half. I'll take more. So you went to two of the same dudes as last week when you ended up Loraxed. I mean, I still cashed last week. I was the worst of three great options.
Starting point is 01:02:07 All right. Like the outcome. The outcome of this show, you're like, yeah, I like that. But to be fair, my lineup last week where I took these two guys isn't where I lost. It was the tiebreaker lineup I had with Mike that I lost. That is true. Love lost for you last week. week. I'm going to continue to hate on the Browns. Harold Fanon Jr. 6 targets. Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Less. Interesting. There's a lot of really interesting ones in here. Yeah, that's trying to spice it up. So the Marvin Harrison receiving number is 34.5. Is that what you said? 34 and a half. 34 and a half. If you're looking at the board, that is way better. Let's look at him instead. Yeah, if it was 64 and a half, I would go less. I think he'll be in that range. Wow. Wow, that should be fun. That was Fantasy FaceLaw presented by prize picks. The amount of your mustache on that microphone is incredible. Oh, that sucks.
