Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast
with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the podcast.
This is the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, baby.
Don't be nasty.
The way that you started that seemed very serious.
Welcome to the podcast.
Because it is.
Yeah.
I mean, this is, we're getting into the serious time of the year where the differentiators are made between winners and losers, playoffs and out, champs and failures.
So welcome in.
As you can tell, I'm the captain today.
And he's out.
Hair follicle emergency.
I wish.
I wish that was the reason.
But welcome in, everyone.
Thank you so much for joining us.
Me and my best friend Jason Moore.
We will handle the business today.
Jay Gris.
Fireboard bear extraordinary.
He's pretty happy.
Oh, pulling out.
Pretty happy.
Crazy win.
I mean, I don't know that he's real happy with the whole game, but the ending.
Well, he's not happy with the defense.
That's for sure.
No.
And you know who's not happy with the defense?
Cincinnati Bengals.
brother did you see chase brown uh no no i didn't did he was he uh pretty upset uh yeah he was
why because all they needed was one stop one stop all they needed was to
not give up more than 42 points it was man that game was absolutely gnarly very very fun for fantasy
football but welcome in everyone uh before we get into the puns want to remind you
We are doing a giveaway.
This is totally free.
Footclan giveaway.com.
We're giving away a signed James Cook jersey.
And all you got to do, go to footclan giveaway.com.
There's a couple things you can do to help the show that take no time at all.
And you get some entries to win a free James Cook jersey.
Who has been awesome.
I mean, even against the Kansas City Chiefs, the running back seven on the week,
the running back four on the year is unstoppable.
So there was some good.
I mean, there was some.
There was some devastating.
again oh man i no yeah did you forget for a minute i had deleted it had the short-term memory loss
of late last night's disgusting it was it was like our our household i was watching the game with my
my boy and my wife and like it got just the way the cam one got me where you're just like
it like yeah the whole weekend then kind of felt deflated but it overall it was a great weekend
for me it got me visually
I usually miss it.
And when he went down, I thought he was...
We're talking about Jane Daniels.
Yeah, Jane Dales.
I thought he re-agravated that hamstring.
Right.
So I was watched.
So then they showed the replay, and I'm watching intently, like, to see where the...
No, it's the arm!
Yeah.
Oh, it's...
But we won't get into that.
There was some good.
There was some bad.
And now we talk about it distinguished.
Yes, Jason.
Um, how about...
Oh, starting to hear, this guy.
Brock Powers
Brock Wowsers
Yeah
But I'm gonna go with a
Whoa Flacko
Colston Dublin
He's got it done
That's Colston
Dogland
Yeah you wish
Caleb Thrilliums
Uh
Vic Torrey Horton
We got a
We got a Torrey Horton
I mean he went off
Speaking of winning
Dalton win Kate
Drake won
That was terrible
That was terrible
That was great
Drake London.
That's all time.
That's bad.
We got Kyle Calabungi.
Jackson Smith Unguardable.
Or my dude, Rico, no doubtle.
And T.D. Higgins.
Unfortunately, we had Rome O. Goose egg.
Yeah, not good.
D.K.
Duky.
Dookie.
Goodness gracious, D.K.
How about Kamani Dandruff?
No, V.
Downs that soon there.
uh jordan sadison yeah or just right to the point
tyler sucks yes he does tyler sucks i hate you very much throw the ball to chriselove
oh my god jonathan failure very disappointing for him tubbered elvin can't mara
oh man and tucker ah yeah because he's also in the so i stick this button again to stop it
seems okay perfect yeah you know the injuries every week or most every week are are bad
This is clearly one of the worst for fantasy.
Like both Jayden Daniels and Tucker Kraft are league winning type of, you know, players.
And so you lost a top five tight end and a top five quarterback in the same week.
Some people had them on the same team.
And that's probably feeling really bad.
You could still win.
Well, yeah, we're going to help get you there.
We're just doing, you know, the old Monday catharsis, we've got to react to the studs.
and duds, and we got some news.
News and notes from around the league.
Presented by Progressive Insurance.
All right, if you missed it last week, it kind of, it was very unexpected, but Travis
Hunter, superstar rookie, he was put on the, is he a superstar?
Mm-hmm.
Potential.
Okay.
How about that?
Potential.
I accept that a little bit more.
Potential superstar.
I mean, we just have.
had the game. He had his breakout. We had the game. We got the buy week. Then he gets hurt in
practice, gets put right on the IR. It was a non-contact knee injury, which is almost always
a torn ACL. They said the ACL was attacked, but they did put him on IR. We don't know
much here on the timeline. He obviously cannot play for four weeks, but the fact that he went on
right away and it's a knee, he might not be back when the four weeks are up. The trade deadline is
coming up. It is tomorrow. There's
always a lot of smoke
during the NFL trade
deadline. This is often
a situation where the smoke doesn't
lead to fire or
lead you to the fire. It's not like baseball's
trade deadline. Or basketball.
But sometimes, sometimes
we get surprised. However, for the Jets,
they are not planning to trade
running back Breeshall unless they
get an offer. They can't refuse.
Which
they probably don't get. No. They probably do.
I mean, if you're out there in the trade market for a running back, you're looking to acquire one.
I think there are other guys you would probably target ahead of, because if you trade for Brees, you're giving up, obviously, an offer they can't refuse.
So you're giving up like a three, which that's expensive.
Then you're going to have to sign them.
For a rental, yeah.
Potential rental.
You're only giving up the three if you're going to sign him to a long-term deal.
But if you were to go and get like Chuba Hubbard, he's a good running back.
He'll help a team, and he won't cost you much, although he does have a decent-sized contract in his own right.
Man, the Panthers running back situation is so fascinating.
That'll be a fun one to talk about.
It's fascinating to me.
Also fascinating, Jason.
I mentioned this briefly on Sunday Live that the Cardinals have come out and they said they're starting Jacoby Bresset.
However, Kyla Murray is listed as questionable, and Kyla Mary is definitely not getting benched.
Right.
But he might be active in the game.
So he might just be on the bench.
He might be healthy enough to play.
Right.
He's not getting benched.
getting bench just sit over there but he won't play on that uh seat on the maybe they'll bring him a chair
they bring a chair you know a little fold out this is yours we call it a throne you're getting thrown you're
not getting benched you're just healthy enough to play and we don't want you to play football for us
i mean we've seen this a couple of times where it's not just a benching where the clear cut starter
comes back and he's kind of healthy enough to go they would they would prefer him not to play yeah
But in an emergency situation, he can be available.
That might be what's happening here.
I hope Tyler does play.
It's just weird.
Because Jacoby Brissette, who is the starter, I did it again, man.
I did it.
A freaking another week in a row.
What did you do?
My opponent goes nuclear.
Friggin' T. Higgins and Brock Bowers.
This is a bad team who just went off on me.
And now we are both projected for like, you know, about, you know, like,
certainly enough points to be in the top few teams.
And I am playing against Jacobi Berset, and he has a 22-point lead, and I got the CD-D-Dack stack.
I will- Right now, we are projected within a point of each other.
I will, I'm going to review the League of Records, people always want to know.
Let's see, I am projected for the most points.
Josh could beat me.
Josh has the second highest projection.
And then there's you, Jay.
Yeah.
That number three, and you might lose.
Yeah.
Again. So my last two weeks, I have lost a combined two games by fewer than three points,
and now it looks like it's going to happen again. This is, it's insane. Yeah. All right. Injury news.
Here we go. Tucker Kraft, he suffered a right knee injury. He did not come back. Honestly, when I saw it,
I thought he just got, you know, like jammed in his knee. And so it was, oh, he, you know, he's going to hobble off.
We'll be all right. Nope. He went away. He did not come back. And now the,
initial fear is a torn ACL, which usually when that is an initial fear, it's it almost always
comes true every now and then you get lucky and you escape. He's having an MRI today on his
birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Have an MRI. We appreciate you, brother, and that that stinks.
Matthew Golden left with a shoulder injury. Jaden Daniels last night of the commanders.
It was a dislocated left elbow. The x-rays were negative. He's doing an MRI today to determine
if surgery will be necessary.
I don't understand.
I mean, I guess what that means is like it was the bones.
Yeah, he didn't have broken.
Broken bones.
But it's really hard to watch an arm in that direction and not think of it as a
completely, like, x-rays were negative.
Like, go look again.
But they'll have to do the MRI to see if any, like, tendons or anything tore.
I've seen optimism.
Yeah, there are some.
For as terrible as it looked, I've seen.
for doctors saying that it's not even
a guarantee that it would be a season
ender, however. Which is insane.
I think it will be a season
ender simply because the
commander's season
looks to be over. It has been ended, yeah.
I mean, they are already, they're only
a three-win team right now.
They have lost Terry McLaren. They have
definitely lost the next
mini-games for Jaden Daniels.
They also lost Luke McCaffrey to a broken collarbone
last night. If you missed the news.
Debo still has his heel issue. He's
playing through. Yeah, they lost
or Marshawn Lattimore
on defense. They think he has a torn ACL.
If you missed the news on Terry McLaurin,
obviously you
saw he wasn't playing last night.
However, if you missed it, he's going to,
we're expecting him to be held out through the week 12
by. So, man, just
Yeah, they're going to lose a couple more games here.
And then at that point, you're not going to rush back your future
of your franchise. Correct.
To win a couple more games when you're not even competing
for the playoffs potentially at that point.
So I do see this as a season ender,
which means big things for, you know,
everyone else involved as well.
Zach Ertz, playing with Marioota,
has not been as good, you know, on and on.
Rams wide receiver, Pooka and Akua left
in the second half yesterday with a rib slash chest injury.
He returned to the sideline with his helmet.
He did not go in.
The quote from McVeigh on the injury,
quote, I think he's going to be good.
He got his ribs.
He could have come back in the game,
but we had, we kind of had command.
Kind of had command.
He's just trying to be nice.
But that's positive.
Because when you hear Puka, Puka is down, you freak out and you go, how many weeks?
Hopefully it's not.
And he just came back.
And it was so nice.
It was like, oh, yeah, I love having Puka.
He's very good.
Back and then he was.
Vikings running back Aaron Jones left the game with an AC joint sprain.
Initial belief is it's minor.
And he could play next week.
That's TBD.
He was playing pretty well.
Looked good.
Then we got some concussions.
C.J. Stroud took a nasty hit and then hit his head on the ground.
Bears tied in, Colquamette.
Back in, back out.
Diami Brown for the Jags left with a concussion.
Then Brian Thomas Jr. injured his left angle in the fourth quarter.
Tried to return with it.
Taped buddy sat out overtime.
Probably a high ankle sprain.
So you can miss some weeks and all of a sudden, Parker Washington becomes a fantasy star?
Could be.
It could be.
I mean, he had a good game, you know, with Brian Thomas playing.
Now it's like he's the last man standing.
Somaget P. Ryan, for the Bengals, he left with an ankle injury.
They're going on by, but if he misses time, Chase Brown will be on a rocket ship of fantasy points.
Kishon Booty for the Patriots, he left early with a hamstring injury.
And then Kyle Shanahan talking about Brock Purdy's toe injury, quote,
something that probably won't go, won't fully go away all year, regardless of when he,
he comes back.
He went on.
What else did he say?
Oh, Purdy was not that close to playing this week.
So Shanahan is letting us know Purdy was not that close to playing this week.
Now, Shanahanigans, we haven't believed anything.
Brock has been told where he's close to coming back every single week.
Now all of a sudden we're saying he's not close.
I don't believe you.
If he plays this week, we just know do whatever, the opposite of whatever Shanahan says.
Yeah, the fact that we are now at five missed games for Brock Purdy means that the 40,
Niners didn't know what they were dealing with because you don't you don't put your you
put him on IR like you give him the time you create the flexibility in your schedule seems like
some things have have gotten worse along the way and obviously he he was injured he came back
in week four and that made it way way way worse so I think they are saying we want him for the
playoffs right NFL playoffs so
if we could give him an extra month on top of everything
just to make sure he's okay when he comes back
and doesn't re-agravate it the better
and they're still winning games
I mean they you know they it was
closer than it shouldn't have been
McCaffrey but they won this week
so yeah I mean I
it's a bummer that we don't have purdy yet I feel like
I know Kittles missing George Kittle
is the player for sure where you're like
will he get unlocked
without Brock Purdy.
Brock Purdy loves throwing to George
Kittles, especially touchdowns.

This week's Fantasy Studmuffins,
presented by Lowe's.
Caleb Williams
Goodness gracious
280 and 3
5 for 53 on the ground
and
two receptions
including a receiving
touchdown
I think they ran the Philly special
is what looked like
oh my goodness
and we'll just combo this in
because it was the same game
my dude
Joe Flacco
You've been very very very
bullish
Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco, it was, I knew when I was talking about it was, are you willing to accept the risk of the, of the shoulder? If you did, you were rewarded with currently the number two fantasy quarterback on the week. 31 of 47 for 470 yards and four touchdowns. That was 470 was Joe Flacko's career high in a single game. This game was awesome for what I like.
It was awesome for what everybody likes except for bangles fans.
I mean, this was...
I mean, Bears, you don't want to see your defense do that to Joe Flackle.
Just back and forth, you know, it looked like the Bengals were going to destroy...
Joe threw touchdowns early and often and just got off to this blazing start.
Then the Bears battle back.
Then they...
Then they take a massive lead and you're like, oh, the Bears just destroyed.
Just destroyed the Bengals.
And then the Bengals, we...
He threw a touchdown late in that game, and you were like, oh, that is the stinkiest garbage.
You were playing Flacco in our league of record, and you're like, oh, delicious, how stinky that garbage time touchdown is.
And then they came back and took the lead.
So it wasn't garbage time at all.
Is Kyle on the mic?
Do we have him here?
Kyle, I don't know if you can help me confirm this.
I think they scored two touchdowns in like 59 seconds.
It was absurd because they got the onset kick.
But that game was great.
bye week
Kyle's going to look
real quick
but it's a by week
for Flacko
good rest up that shoulder
after throwing for 47 times
with a sprain joint
Caleb Williams
gets the Giants
next week
Josh Allen
Ho-hum
he good
another good game
he's 5 and 1
versus Mahomes
in the regular season
he's going to want
to fix that in the playoffs
Justin Herbert
yeah
Justin Herbert
this game
this game
was weird.
Like this one, there was a couple
games, as they do every week, there's a couple
games where you just, this does not
go anywhere near what it should
on paper or what you expected.
The, oh, the Bengals, it was 49 seconds. I apologize
for the Bengals two touchdowns. Justin
Herbert against Tennessee starts this game
basically with a pick six. Then Tennessee
has a, what was a punt return?
Yeah, they scored.
Return by, I think it was a DK?
They scored on defense. They scored
special teams and they basically didn't score
on offense. Yes. And
then that turned into a negative game
script. Justin Herbert, 250
and 2. He also had 57 rushing
yards and a rushing touchdown.
Yeah, he looked great.
And all the receiving options
I mean, it's what we expect
what we have been saying, like with Quentin
Johnson getting the touchdown. It's like you
you're just, you need to play all of
the chargers, receivers,
and no, sometimes it will go bad.
It will be a goose every now and then. Now, if you
can't handle that on your roster. If your roster's not built that way, then look for a Parker
Washington who won't goose but won't have the ability to put up 25 points in a game. These
these chargers are guys I want in my lineup. Jackson Dart, the rookie continues.
191 and 2 through the air, 8 for 56 in a rushing touchdown on the ground. He is averaging
almost nine fantasy points per game by just on the ground. And
he is the quarterback three in total fantasy points since becoming the starter in week four.
Yeah, he's averaging 22.3 fantasy points per game. It's been awesome. And he has no weapons.
You know, he's lost everyone. Darius Slate, and I still think is a good play on a weekly basis right now.
And darts getting it done on the ground so much. He has four of his six games where he has rushed for more than 50 yards on the ground. That's a touchdown.
You know, so it's more than a touchdown in four-point leagues.
Mr. Dart, please stop getting hit so hard.
Oh, I know.
There were a couple of plays where it's like, you can't play this way for a long career.
You got to pick and choose when you're going to take the hit.
And he chooses the hit every time right now.
Sam Darnold, this was absurd against the Washington commanders last night.
He ends 330 and four passing touchdowns.
But it was just perfection.
He only, he had three incompletions.
He didn't have one pick, but he played incredible near perfect football last night.
He played such good football that he was only the quarterback five on the week
because they just destroyed them and, you know, they didn't need to throw the ball anymore in the second.
It was all in the, it was like by halftime, I think he had four passing touchdowns and no incompletions.
Every time they got the ball, it was like, check this out.
Let me throw the ball perfectly in stride for touchdowns to everyone.
Tori Horton, JSN, everyone got involved.
It was a real primetime show.
Matthew Stafford, 281 and 4.
He leads the NFL with 21 passing touchdowns.
He's one of five quarterbacks since the year 2000 with a touchdown to interception ratio of 21 to 2 or better through the first eight games.
He's playing incredible.
he was a
I won't say a difficult start
but it was like the kind of start where you're a 14 point favorite
do you
do you actually get a ceiling game
and we did and it was everyone like Stafford
four passing touchdowns
Kyron Williams currently the running back four
on the week it was like everybody
everybody was eating in the Rams game
and still still Devante Adams around the goal line
it's just like it's automatic
automatic. How do you not, I feel like you've got to put two guys at the line wherever
Duvante Adams is, which you can do. And then Kyron will just walk in. Gino Smith. Maybe this
was just a Brock Bowers problem. Or Brock Bowers solution. Because Brock Bowers. Holy crap. I can't
believe I had to play against Brock Bowers. But Gino ended 284 and 4 in the game against Jacksonville.
He's playing Denver next week. Good luck. Lamar was awesome on Thursday. And then Michael Penix
had three touchdowns.
It was all right.
Drake London.
There were some weird play calling choices by the Falcons this week.
That was another weird games.
They were just very suspect.
The Patriots just dominated the Falcons, just completely, you know,
looked like they were going to obliterate them, controlled everything,
and then lost the game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because of bad play calling, honestly.
All right, we're going to take a quick break and we'll be back.
We're going to talk some running backs.
Number one on the week
Christian McCaffrey
I mean
28 for 106 with touchdown
5 for 67 with a touchdown through the air
He's the 49ers
He has the seventh most receiving yards in the NFL
He's a running back
This year has been unbelievable
Rico Dowdell
Oh man
Holy crap man
The Unic
We were watched, so if you, people are, yeah, people are like, what, the eunuch?
So, Dowdell in that game.
Oh, man.
He was dealing with a groin injury already.
And he had two different times in that game where it was, ah, he tore it.
He ripped it again.
Yep.
He was down on the field.
He's holding his groin.
Yes.
And just really hurting.
And then it's like, wow, he's going to, he's going to miss some time.
He's probably not back next week.
I was lamenting
because he was already looking awesome
and then he went
he was in clear pain
jogs off and it's like
oh my gosh
the Panthers finally do the right thing
Rico's the starter
we're done with this
splitting with Chuba
we're just going to play
the best guy
and now he's going
groin injury
wait a minute
it's like two place later
he's back in there
he's awesome
that was number five
Rico is playing through this
and then it happened again
and he's like
so he's got no groins left
he cares nothing
nothing left to tear
and he doesn't
care. I mean, Rigo got that dog in him
for sure. Oh, yes, he does. It just doesn't
have a groin. That's why he's the eunuch.
But man, he was
20, 25 for 130 and 2
against the Green Bay
Packers.
Navy Rico Dowdell
is very, very good.
The Chicago Bears,
do, do do do do.
My non guy.
Kyle Manungai.
Seventh round rookie
running back gets the start.
Gets it at the perfect time against the Cincinnati Bengals goes 26 for 176.
Three receptions for 22 yards did everything but score.
What a game.
And Kyle has a note here.
Here's seventh round rookie running backs with 30 or more touches in a game since 1987.
We had one in 1989 by the name of Marion Butts, who played for at the time the San Diego Chargers.
1990 Johnny Johnson
For the Phoenix Cardinals
That's also an incredible
With what these names
Johnny Johnson Mary and
Mary and Butt
Johnny Johnson and Kyle Monongai
That's dude those are some names right there
But there will be discussed
I don't think I'm not on the side of that
Munn Guy just stole DeAndre Swift's job
Swift's been playing awesome
This is a team that I think wants to institute
What we saw in
Detroit where you've got Gibbs and Monty
and it looks like they've got like a Gibbs Light and a Monty Light.
I mean, to hit on Monty Light in the seventh round.
But also, do not get ahead of ourselves because this was the Bengals defense.
Sure.
And they're awful.
I mean, they are very bad, yeah.
They are diaper.
They made Justin Fields look good.
Yeah.
Just a couple weeks ago.
Yeah, the man, the Bengals defense is just so fun.
Josh Jacobs, he scored.
He scores. He scores pretty much every week.
Kyron Williams, the fears of Blake.
It was weird. It was a lot of Blake Corum.
Yeah, Corum had a, I don't know.
I feel like he had a good game.
But Kyron was 25 for 114 in a score.
He did not have a reception, but he continued to get it done.
Yeah, he was, uh, Blake Corum got 13 carries for 58 yards, four and a half a clip.
That's, he looked good.
He had some good tackle break.
Everybody for the Rams looked good.
Puka was fine.
Devante Adams was fine.
Stafford was great
Kyron
Ashton Genty
He came through with a good week
The 13 for 42
That's what I expected on the ground
I was a little nervous about Gentie
But then five receptions for 47 yards
And a touchdown
91% of the snaps
A season high
So while Jacksonville was able to shut him down on the ground
They got beat through the air
Jalen Warren
Touchdowned his way
To being a top fantasy option
Chase Brown
It still continues to work
for him while Joe Flacko was there because
14 targets
Come on
14 targets
14 targets for a running back
Because they know what they're
Because it's 11 for 37 on the ground man
Like it wasn't going
And Joe they're running through the air
Yeah well the thing is is Joe's got the bum shoulder
He can't move in the pocket very much
Not quickly enough
And they've got a bad offensive line
So it's snap the ball get it out
snap the ball get it that the easiest way to protect your quarterback is to throw to the running
back not have the running back sit there and try to pass protect right rj harvey he scored through
the air again it was five targets for 51 yards and a score yeah this was not a final utilization
we talked about like this is a trap last week's breakout was a trap because he didn't play
that many snaps didn't get that involved he just he was playing against the dallas cowboys
defense another one of those be careful and then he ended up with a good like a really good
game simply because he caught that
touchdown, but he, you know,
he had two carries. He had two carries
in the game. This was not, oh,
he took over, um,
he's still playing the vast
minority of snaps. Travis, E, TN, Jason, your start of the week,
22 for 84 on the ground, 5 for 31 through the air.
Should have been so much better.
Per Ian Hartett's friend of the show.
Travis E.T.N. got tackled
at the one yard line five times.
Five times. Over the course of three different drives and he
scored zero touchdowns. He could have had three Russian touchdowns. And it wasn't like he was playing
bad. Right. He was playing really, really good. He got him down to the one yard line several
times. Yeah. And then they're like, we got to get the toot man in. What's funny is when the
twop man got in, I allow it in my heart because ETN got two carries ahead of him on the goal
line. It didn't work. And then ETN. But what was the shame to me was when he
ATN was given the ball. It was like jumbo, like stack the box, and then try to run it.
We're high tea. We're going to be men. Let's spread it out, get tooting back there, still
handed up straight up the middle, but it's like, oh, look how much easier it was for him.
I prefer that. I mean, there's, there's a couple running backs where if you want to go heavy,
jumbo, we're stronger men than you. Yeah. Or certain O lines. Yeah, yeah. That's fine for some of them.
For the vast majority, though, spread it out. Get players out of the box.
and then run for a yard.
It seems to work a lot better.
Wide receivers.
Drake London.
He was fourth fed.
He got three receiving touchdowns and 118 yards.
T. Higgins,
nine targets, seven for 121 and two.
It's really funny when we go through these studs.
Like Drake London, amazing game.
I had him.
He was great.
T. Higgins, terrible game.
I played against him and he was great.
The emotional, like, man, I was so upset the T.
had that monster game. One, he also, one of his touchdowns, I mean, it's a, it'll be a highlight for
the year. It was a great, you know, fully outstretched arms, manages to tap the ball to himself.
It was a great touchdown. Jamar Chase still had six for one eleven, but T. Higgins was
almost like Chase needs to be in the pooped in your pants segment with 111. Like, you're
really disappointed that he only had six for 111. DeVante Adams and Pooka Nakua were both excellent
for Fantasy Adams, another two touchdowns.
Puka did score.
He got a receiving touchdown.
Which is, that's wild.
That's rare.
When Puka gets those, you know you're going to have a great week.
Tori Horton, rookie for the Seattle Seahawks.
He was one of our official Dynasty Nasty Boys of the Summer.
Four for 48 and two.
He had the opportunity because Cooper Cup was out.
And we'll see.
Tori Horton has made.
We'll see if you can put the genie back in the lamp.
He's made a lot of plays.
this year. Not all of them show up
on your normal box score because they've been in
special teams. His return game, he's got
touchdowns there. But even
you know, I mean, that is
his fifth touchdown
on the season. We're halfway through the
year in his rookie season. He
has certainly shown that he's
like, he belongs. Yes, exactly.
He belongs here. And so
going forward, you know,
maybe from a dynasty perspective, but maybe
even a redraft, you know,
normal league
Going forward, as Cooper Cup gets older every day,
Tori Horton, if he gets the opportunity,
I think he'll make the most of it.
JSN continues his reign of terror upon the NFL 8 for 129.
Pop Douglas, he was the Patriots wide receiver of choice this week.
Man, that booty injury was booty because I think he was started in the vast majority of leagues.
I started him in two different leagues.
He had been really, really involved.
and obviously Drake May went out, had a very good game,
had a touchdown to Pop Douglas,
had a touchdown to Diggs,
and you just never know how it would have gone
if Booty got to play.
DJ Moore comes through with one of the weirder games,
four for 72 through the air,
one for 17 and a touchdown on the ground,
and then he threw a touchdown.
Okay, I mean, he probably did that on a lot of benches out there.
Rishie Rice, four for 80.
he had a rushing touchdown he's just seemed seemed like another one of those weirdly disappointing games
sure like he's he was very good but it was like yeah i wanted more of course uh the colts game
that was one of the upside downs the pittsburgh stealers defense decided they were good again
they are jackal and hide man they've had a couple of really outstanding defensive performances
and then the others are like target this team yeah so yeah that that game went completely up
It was all turnovers. I expected the Colts to be up, and then we would get the, we'd get
some points then from the Steelers as they try to catch up.
And Jonathan Taylor. It was the opposite.
Jonathan Taylor having a monster game. Instead, it was Daniel Jones having to throw the ball.
What did they, I think they turned the ball over five times. Yeah, Daniel Jones had a poor NFL game.
Yeah. Let's see. For fantasy, he was. He's still, he's still the QB12 in fantasy. He was okay.
Because he had to throw the ball 50 times. Right. You don't usually have.
as many interceptions as he had and then
end the day without a disastrous score. But he was all right. Michael
Pittman Jr. My start of the week
this week was awesome. Nine for 115
on 12 targets.
Alec Pierce, 115 yards. I mean,
they had to throw it a lot.
Alec Pierce. I mean,
he's been coming up a lot on this show, but it's just
let's, uh, I think Alex Pierce needs more respect than we
actually give him. Amon Ross, St. Brown, great game.
Jameson Williams.
Four-for-66.
He's a liar.
Hey, hey, after the, hey,
squeaky wheel, you know,
the narrative that the coach was talking about it.
At the tight-end position,
welcome back, Brock Bowers,
12 for 12-127 and 3.
Yeah, the three was three darts was two months for me.
It was funny because,
so Brock was my start of the week,
and the first touchdown,
I was like, yes, that's awesome.
He was good.
now no more and then he was just getting started goodness gracious was he good i mean 12 of 13 targets received
127 yards he was the exact guy we saw week one when he was healthy who was who we saw
rookie year who is probably the tight end one rest of season yeah he looked very healthy and ready
to go and your start of the week colston loveland colston loveland had himself a very good game
and then the final target
turned into dogston dog land
I will say this
huge applause
he tried to downplay what happened
because he did
he broke his first tackle
and it was
two on a walk off gigantic
touchdown it was awesome it was awesome
that was a dog I mean those tackles were
they were pretty
what
no wrap up just trying to hit a guy
yeah but that's the whole point if you if you are
Mesa Taylor
Mason Taylor explodes into pieces after getting hit on like that.
Yeah, all right.
Look, I don't want to denigrate an awesome game.
He looked great.
I mean, we talked about this.
When we talked about him in the start of the week's segment,
it was like, he is a very good play this week.
The Bengals were the team to target for tight ends.
They have allowed 12 touchdowns to the tight end position.
Crazy.
No other team has a lot more than six.
Yeah.
So it is very awesome to see, and you are hopeful.
that this is the beginning
of the new norm for him being very involved
it's tough
like I probably won't start him next week
depending on Colcomette
If Colquette is out then he would be his play
Colquette left this game
with a concussion and so that
was helpful to him. The Bengals
were helpful to him both on offense and on defense
because they kept having to throw the ball
even last second walk up. What an exciting game
but I'm optimistic
mystic, but I'm not going to flip
the switch that it's an
every week's start.
Dalton Kincaid, the post
hype sleeper run.
He seems like he should be an every
week start. Yeah. I, you know, I keep
pushing back and be like, the dude's
playing half the time. He's
not out there running a full allotment of
routes, and yet
he keeps getting it done. You would
have two weeks that you have started
him that you'd be bumped. Which, and the
the ones you're very very happy yeah and at that position i mean you you're you're hoping for 50%
of your games you're happy with a tight end this is he's he is the number one best receiver
for josh allen and i think that's pretty much all you've got to know yep i think that is true
sam la porta six for 97 and an absolute dog of a dog touchdown dog if he did not see it it was
sam la porta going i mean a huge you can't tackle me is what he said
huge breakaway run. Obviously, look, he's big tight in. He's not faster than everyone, so he does
get caught near the goal line. I think it was three defenders start trying to bring him down,
but he keeps fighting. He smelled the end zone, like a dog. He smelled that food and was like,
extra juice flowed through his veins. And he fought off the tackles long enough for the,
for the other players on his team to catch up and push him in. It was a great touchdown.
It was very fun. Mark Andrews caught two passes on third.
Thursday night.
Yeah, baby.
Mark Andrews had two touchdowns on Thursday night.
Dalton Schultz, six for 77.
He got a slowest man alive, but he got it done.
Travis Kelsey was, oh, man.
Travis Kelsey's in the stud section.
Yeah, he shouldn't be.
Sheesh.
I mean, you know, some weeks, like he's the tight end eight right now, so he can't be too
disappointed of the players that most people played.
You're okay.
You might outscored your opponent.
but four for 66 is just mid and joan johnson he caught a touchdown from tyler shucks
chuck man i got tyler sucks in my head i need i'm sorry tyler you need what oh he shahid
i need him traded because olive had his season low we will be talking about him well is he in the duds
he's got to be in the duds all right quick break and then the duds
pooped in his big boy pants
well well
Patrick Mahomes
The Mighty have fallen for a week
This is an interesting stat
Josh Allen recorded his highest completion
percentage of his career
In the same game that Patrick Mahomes recorded
The lowest completion percentage of his career
88% to 44%
literally he doubled up Patrick Mahomes
Buffalo got the win
and they just outplayed the
Chiefs Jordan Love Jason
it didn't work
yeah that's what I get you didn't see the mighty
Carolina Panthers that's oh dude the
Carolina Panthers showing up to hold Jordan Love
to 26 for 273
You know it's funny
I don't want to overstate
or understate what we're seeing from Carolina.
But we need to at least question our priors and see them as maybe a good team.
The Panthers?
The Panthers.
I mean, if you look, when Bryce Young has started, they've won their last four games.
One of them was against Dallas.
This one against Green Bay in Lambo.
Now that they've got a running game that is click.
I was going to say, what are the, what's the correlation with Rico Dowdell being the dude?
I mean, it makes sense.
It's going to keep your defense off the field.
It's going to open up the passing game.
So this is, you know, coming up the next two games, New Orleans and Atlanta, two very winnable games.
You could have a team that looks like they're playoff bound here.
So give them credit.
Rico Dowdell, off of his thousand-yard season with Dallas Cowboys, was forced into signing a one-year backup deal for the Carolina Panthers.
where he was forced to become the starter because he was Rico, no doubtle.
Daniel Jones, it's, I mean, it's, you got to talk about it because he had a, he had a really bad game.
He still sort of came through for fantasy football, but it was horrific.
Weeks one through eight, three turnovers.
That's what Daniel Jones has caused or allowed, I should say.
Week nine, three turnovers.
You know what's crazy about Daniel Jones?
He's been so good this year.
Was it only?
I thought it was, I thought it was more.
I thought it was four.
He lost a fumble.
So maybe it was just four turnovers.
He had three interceptions.
And I mean, he's credited for three fumbles.
I don't remember how many he fully lost, at least one.
Yeah.
So the sad thing with Daniel Jones so far this year, and it's been good for all the receivers,
it's been good for the offense.
So I'm not too upset about it, but it's worth noting he's not running the ball.
Like he's on pace over the entire season.
He would be on a 17-game pace of 100.
70 rushing yards. Right. I mean, Daniel Jones has always been a true dual threat up with, you know, he's running for 500 yards. You know, you see what like Drake May and Bo Nix have been doing with their legs. That's, that's what we've always historically seen Daniel Jones do. Maybe now that he's got an offensive line that can protect him and he can actually be more of a pocket passer, or he's just older. The running back position, the Colts failed. So Jonathan Taylor failed. 14 carries for 45 yards. This was a big time bummer. His longest
rush was only nine yards.
He does get to take on the Atlanta Falcons next week.
We will see.
Alvin Camara.
Sheesh.
From Nick Underhill, the Saints,
had a time of possession of 16 minutes and seven seconds.
That was the 13th lowest in NFL history.
It was not the debut that the Saints were hoping for
for their second round rookie quarterback.
Jamir Gibbs, nine for 25, only three catches for three yards.
Yeah, that was a really disappointing one.
It's the fewest you.
yards from scrimmage in a game in his career yeah i mean when i when i looked after the game you know
because i was watching it live obviously um david montgomery was on my bench he gets attached i was like
okay whatever and then when i looked after the game i was like i did not realize how bad jamir gibbs was
he was that was really disappointing 28 total total yards and speaking of disappointments
Kamani Vidal against the Tennessee Titans
After what he had been doing
12 for 30 one target no receptions
This one was my biggest whiff
My biggest disappointment of the week
I thought Vidal was going to smash
In this situation against the Tennessee Titans
But their defense showed up
They rallied a bit there
I mean they charges still won
But very very disappointing and bummer of a game
Therefore Kamani Vidal Sassoon
And it really
Dandruff or whatever
Yeah, it was disappointing too because I felt like I don't have the data, the snap percentages in front of me, Kyle. Maybe you can look it up. But they were, I felt like they were getting other guys involved, whereas the previous week when Vidal went off. I'm guessing it's because Vidal was not being effective. Yeah, possibly. Let's see. Who else we got? The Texans guys there on here as well. Yeah, both Woody Marks, Nick Chubb. J.K. Dobbins was a bummer.
We were kind of worried about him against Houston, but it was even worse than we thought it was going to be 15 for 61.
Yeah, the Texans defense, they are one of the best in the league, and you have to change expectations when going into that matchup.
The Broncos sneaked out a last second victory there, but it was just like we talked about.
We said on that matchup, this is a game where the winner of the game, walking away with the W might not.
have 20 points scored and the game went down 18 to 15 so car pulled it up vidal was 72% of the
snaps oh wow he was still on the field just Jarrett patterson I know was like he had to play a
third of the snaps but maybe it was just vidal sucking Zach Charbonnet eight for 25 one for 21 Walker
did play way more snaps this week over Zach Charbonnet they only gave him the ball 11 times on
the ground 11 for 42 this is also targets for 19 yards a weird game uh jacori kroski merits
oh boy i don't i don't know how you can start him yeah i mean especially going forward now with
your your implied team totals are going to be much lower with mariotta there this is a player
who has fully punked everybody ha i mean yeah yeah yeah yeah week one coming out being the
RB 11 and then having, you know, the trade. And it's like, this is his team. He has juice. He's
the reason we made the trade, then the Echler injury. I mean, everything opportunity wise has
lined up for him to be there. He hasn't missed a game. He's played, you know, as essentially a
starter the whole season. Maybe Chris Rodriguez gets the first touch. But we've seen bigger games
from McNichols. And Bill has, I mean, he's on pace for over 200 opportunities.
and he scored an eight fantasy points a game.
Yeah.
He's not in here, but I'm going to bring his name up
because I'm sure people just want to hear the conversation.
Trayvion Henderson.
He had 20 opportunities.
I said, I want to see a game with 15 opportunities.
14 for 55.
Oh, all right.
I mean, it's on brand.
Yeah, it's on brand.
So it's 3.9.
4 for 32 through the air.
So, I mean, in terms of yardage, he was, what,
87 yards from scrimmage. No touchdowns. Here's the truth. We're not excited,
but it was totally acceptable. Like 10 and a half fantasy points is our barometer for
running back and a half PPR to consider a good game. He was 10.7 fantasy points. So it wasn't
special, but it was fine. He didn't hurt you if you started him. He played 75% of the snaps.
Terrell Jennings played 25% of the snaps.
Unfortunately, for us who played Hendo,
it was, Jennings was up, and he had two good runs,
including one turning into, I mean,
I'm not saying he only had two good plays.
I was just like he had a good run to set them up,
and then he took it in.
I think it was like a 10-yard run or so for a touchdown,
if I remember, right?
No, the touchdown was inside the five.
It was more of a goal line carry.
That was what was disappointing to me is they only had,
You're right. It was only a three-yard case. They only had one rush attempt inside the five, and it happened to go to Jennings. And so that's really disappointing. If, you know, if Trayvion Henderson is getting 75% of the snaps, but he's not getting the goal line work in this world, that's disappointing. I don't think it is prescriptive yet to know that the one carry that they had inside the five just happened. Like, he could have just been the running back on the field on that drive. So. So in terms of.
fantasy, it's unfortunate because neither side gets to boomshankalaka.
Right.
Yeah, you want, you want, failed.
No one can, no one can dunk here.
Yeah, it was like, it's a good game.
He didn't get the, I don't know.
He got the snaps.
So he got 10 and a half fantasy points.
So, Rable got us again.
He got us again.
Because I, I wanted nothing more than to just, it be a monster game.
And come in here, rip the shirt off, bang the chest.
be like I told you
or just get it over with
yeah like let me know that Trayvion
will not be the guy take but he was the guy
yeah it was weird uh
you know who was not the guy Jason at the wide receiver
position Rome O'Dunesay
so weird
full goose in a game that had 800,000
his quarterback is the QB1 on the week
um I do he had a
he had an end zone target that was um just
slightly behind him so a little disappointing i'm not so this is three out of the last four weeks
where he's been disappointing um where he has not scored five fantasy points in three of the last
four weeks four weeks ago at before that was their by week so coming out of the by he has been
extremely disappointing i am fully committed to roma dunzae still being the primary wide receiver on
this team i you know not worried about dogs
and dog lands coming in?
I'm certainly not worried about dogs and dog land being the reason.
There's been a couple miscues, a couple missed touchdowns that were there for O'Donzee.
He's playing 95 plus percent of the snaps.
I mean, he is being utilized as the one.
We talk about when you're in small stretches of games, you feel like it is forever.
But at the end of the season, in the off season, when we talk about these players and you look back at their game logs of
great players of A.J. Brown
of whoever, unless you're like
the wide receiver won
like Jamar Chase last year, everyone
has a bunch of complete
disaster games at the wide receiver position.
It sucks to be a zero though. Yeah,
I mean, it does. It does.
But especially in that game,
47 to 42
and a full goose.
D.K. Metcalf. I would personally,
you know, I would offer a cheap crappy
trade offer for O'Donze. Yeah, I
still want Roma on the team. D.K. Metcalfe.
This was the spot, and then the game turned upside down, and D.K. Metcalfe was a non-factor. He caught two passes. Was that really what a two passes for six yards?
Yeah. Goodness gracious. He had two targets inside the five, and he ends up with two for six. Disgusting.
You ate him. Yes, I do, because I've never been a D.K. Metcalf guy. And then... And then you drafted him.
I, well, I, like, I understood the process, and I understand that I'm wrong on players.
It happens.
And Aaron Rogers, number one wide receiver always gets peppered with targets.
Not DK Metcalf.
I mean.
Not the hundred plus million dollars or whatever they gave him and the draft picks they gave up.
And there's, it's weird, man.
It's what I'm saying.
It's weird.
He's still been pretty good for being the season.
Yeah, he's been good on the season.
I know, but you get him in a smash spot right here and he gives you six yards.
It's disgusting.
The Chargers, Ladd-McConkey, Keenan Allen.
They were the ones who took the turn to have the bad week.
Gadsden and Q.
Had Good Weeks.
Brian Thomas Jr.
Didn't have to worry about potential superstar Travis Hunter to take targets away from him.
This one. This one is disgusting.
Three, four.
Oh, hey look.
Oh, look.
Oh, look.
55.
This is disgusting.
This is 59 points scored in the game between the Raiders and the Jags.
Beautiful.
You love that. This is game script was great. The Raiders are not a shut down defense. You
lost Travis Hunter. Come on Brian Thomas Jr. And he has three catches. It's like he has been inside
the top 24. I'm not saying like a top five. The top 24 wide receivers on a week once this
season. We are way too far into the season to have that be true. And now he's injured.
shoulder injury, which obviously was part of this.
He might be the most disappointing player on the season.
I think he's got to be the biggest bust of the year so far.
Going off the top of my head, maybe there's another one, but Parker Washington.
That's who you wanted.
Eight for 90.
Yeah.
I mean, we brought up just how gross the replacement name is going to be.
Someone has to go fill in for Travis Hunter, and Liam Cohen just,
I don't know if it's Cohen.
I don't know if it's Trevor Lawrence,
but Parker Washington was already involved.
27% target share for him this week.
Yeah, I mean, 10 targets the last game before the by week.
And then nine targets this past week while, yeah,
it was a very disappointing showing from BTJ.
Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs.
He did have seven targets, three for 23.
He's going on to the by week.
I'm done.
I don't know where you are
I would be completely willing
If you need a roster spot
I would be fine to drop him to waivers
At the same time
If he was on waivers I might scoop him up
But this is this is Rushie Rice's team
Primarily
Kelsey hasn't gone away with Rice back
So it will be difficult to have a lot of consistency
There for Worthy and going into a buy week
Where you're going to have to hold him for two weeks
To hopefully get something that you probably won't get
I'm fine moving on
Debo Samuel had a down game
Chris Olavay, here's the conversation.
This is a tweet from Good Friend of the show, JJ Zacharisen.
In Tyler Shuck's first start, Rashid Shaheed, saw nine targets for a season high, 37.5% target share.
Chris Olave saw four targets for a season low of 16.7% target share.
The discussion on The Saints was completely around.
We don't know what Tyler Shuck will do.
Will he come in and Derek Car this?
and throw the ball at Camara ten times.
Will he feed Chris Olave,
their number one,
assumed number one wide receiver over and over and over.
And it turned out it was,
this week at least, was Rashid Shaheed.
So it was,
it was definitely Chehito ahead of Olave.
That could be the new normal.
I heard Chehito.
That could be the new normal.
Why not Shahitos?
Could also just be,
that's how this game worked.
Like I said,
earlier wide receivers are going to have inconsistency.
We need more data.
And it could flip.
But two games, if we got two games of this, I think you'd go to a full panic.
Well, the Rams in this game, they completely dominated every aspect.
We just talked about how great all of the Rams were.
They had the ball so much.
My big concern is like, there were 24 total passes thrown.
Like, that's not a good enough number.
especially, you know, for someone who, like, wasn't Spencer Rattler throwing the ball a ton?
Spencer Rattler looking games of 46 attempts, 34, 39, 31, 32.
Like, we've got to have more attempts.
And one of the things I love about this team is this.
They got to get more production with the attempts to keep the ball.
True.
The speed at which Kellanmore plays.
But I also think part of this was just the Rams.
And not the Rams on defense, the Rams on offense, just controlling.
the game so easily, really did not give a lot of opportunity for anyone.
Shaheed was mostly garbage time.
Tetero McMillan back down to a stinker after the 7 for 99 last week, 4 for 46 this week,
low-scoring game.
The identity of the team is Rico Dowdell.
So targets that I think they'll be harder to come by.
Let's see, what's the schedule here coming up?
So we got the Saints, the Falcons,
and San Francisco, that's what's on tap here for the Carolina Panthers.
Jordan Addison was very disappointing.
He had a bomb into the corner, the front corner of the end zone.
I thought it was a great ball by J.J. McCarthy, and it seemed like Addison dropped it,
so there was a potential for that.
J.J. McCarthy, we didn't get to talk about it because it wasn't like a fantasy.
It wasn't a fantasy stud game.
He was great.
He, I believe he had three touchdowns.
He had like he had no yards, though.
let me pull up his exact stat line. We got
14 of 25, so we only complete
a 56% of his passes,
143 yards, 2 passing touchdown
and a rushing touchdown.
He looked
better. The completion
percentage on paper definitely says
it was not, but he just
looked more composed. Hopefully
better days are ahead for J.J. McCarthy
the Vikings for fantasy purposes
because Baltimore, Chicago,
Green Bay, Seattle, Washington,
Dallas. I mean, like, there is a
stretch of games coming up for the Vikings that they should be able to take
advantage of. Darnel Mooney continues to like what happened. Oh, I love to see this.
Because of Drake London. Yes, because Pennix was there and Drake London was there. And so I don't
want to see some kind of 50-50 split. I want to see you target Drake London over and over because
he's way better and only two targets for Mooney. That's what I want. Also, you, you won the game.
George Kittle, only four targets. We talked about it might take until Brock Purdy comes back. When
Will that be? Who knows?
It might, but I don't look at it as in, like, I think he takes a big leap up when
Brock comes back, but I don't look at this as if with Mac Jones, Kittle can't be good.
Last week, with Mac Jones, he was very good.
Yeah, 403 in a touchdown.
Was he know, like the Titan 6 or something?
Yeah, but 43 yards is.
If you're the sixth best titan on a week, yeah, I'm just saying you could do that last week
with Mac Jones.
Tyler Warren was disappointing, seven targets, five for 20.
and then Kyle Pitts, who seemed like he was very involved.
So it's kind of surprising to see him here, but he was only four for 38.
That was Studs and Duds presented by Lowe's.
Lowe's knows Sundays are for NFL football.
Earn your Sunday with Lowe's, official partner of the NFL.
Tomorrow, waiver, wire.
It's going to be a big one.
Jason has closed his eyes.
I'm just thinking about the CD-D stack tonight.
Oh, you are.
I need.
You're doing the secret.
Yeah.
Yeah, speak it into existence.
I need that CD touchdown.
I need the stack.
I need CD Lamb.
You know what?
Two touchdowns.
For CD Lamb?
I want two touchdowns from CD Lamb tonight.
Okay.
All right.
