Starting point is 00:00:33 I mean, I can cook a little bit. That's great. You know what? I've been, I've been eating around recently. And I was, I've been thinking about this because I know we're going to chat. What? I've been eating around recently. Like a human.
Starting point is 00:00:50 What the fuck does that even mean? It's just such a funny way to start a conversation. Good girl. Can I do the damage or what are you doing? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of the Fear and podcast. This time we are joined by the wonderful, the gorgeous, Jamie. Jamie, hello, Jamie Gumdrop, welcome. Thanks for having me.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Welcome to the podcast. How are you? I'm good, I'm good. Good. It's good to have you. It's 4 p.m. on an October day. It's an autumn day. Halloween's coming up.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Oh, Halloween's coming up. Spooky season. I'm not going to be a pedophile this year. She doesn't know the job. Oh, you can't just say that. I don't. But I just accepted it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I didn't dress as a pedophile last year. He did. But that's fine. It's just he didn't know. No, I wasn't. He didn't dress as one. He just was one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:55 But this year he's not going to be like. Right. It was, it was a, it was a strong start. It was a misunderstanding. You know, it. Yeah. It only eats children. It's October 1st.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Right. Yeah. It's October 1st. October 1st. Oh, happy October. It's the first day of October. We're very excited to speak to you at the first. the day of October.
Starting point is 00:02:14 So many things have happened. It's been a huge September for me. Yeah. It's been a lot. You're just flying by, you know what I mean? Life is flying by.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Who can believe that the jets are three and a lot? You can't believe it. You know, the Vikings, I wish they would have put up a harder fight against the Bears a couple weeks ago. The Bears.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Do you watch football? No, I don't. That's okay. Do you watch football? Now. I have a fantasy team. I'm in seventh place. Wow.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Yeah. They're pretty okay. First place, not a big deal. He's in first place, but he used auto draft. Can we talk about the water bottle now? Yeah, what's going on? Okay, this is my water bottle. Guess how many ounces it is?
Starting point is 00:02:50 Oh, yeah, make sure you talking to this because... What's the top? The top is moving. Okay, so it's not supposed to be like this, but I like it like it like this, because when I'm in bed, it'll angle to where my mouth is. You just lean over and... Yeah, that's exactly what I do. It's like a hamster bottle.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Yeah, but it's dirty two ounces. Wow! I think it's the... This is 48. Yeah, so the smaller version of this is 32 ounces. And then also, I think... Why does it look like that? I thought it was just for aesthetics, but it physically has function.
Starting point is 00:03:18 So when you hold it by the handle, all the weight goes on the bottom, so it's technically lighter. So it's a lot lighter than if I were like pick up in a wall. You know what? I honestly, when I was a younger man, I would look down on the water bottle girlies, and then I tried water from a water bottle and my life changed. And now I'm a water bottle collector. I have many of them. You need to get this one.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Yeah. What's it called? Chucco Lab. You know, I used to, I've tried to get the whole water bottle thing, right? You should because single-use plastics are destroying this planet. Yeah, I know. Yeah. But I keep...
Starting point is 00:03:49 You also flies my planet every week. Yeah. Also, plastic bottles are actually super bad for you. In fact, if you look this up, there's a safe consumption for water bottles per week. Damn, really? Yeah, you're not supposed to drink more than, I think, like, four of a week. Wow, what happens? Does it make you get plastic in your walls?
Starting point is 00:04:06 Does it give you microplasties? Well, that's good because I only drink one a day. Every e-sports team is... No, per week. Living off water bottle. You know what? I'm gonna get up, but hey,
Starting point is 00:04:14 one plastic water bottle for a week? I do it at the gym. Look at the safe consumption for plastic water bottles. Damn, I'm learning the last, like typing stuff. The last episode,
Starting point is 00:04:23 I learned that I was gonna get cancer from flying on a plane. I know, last week when it was the last week of September. Would you quit making that joke? You know? What? Wait,
Starting point is 00:04:32 why are you getting? I don't know. I don't know. You're just pissing him off. Hey, you're pissing me off. Well, anyway, what happens? I fell down the stairs weeks ago. Oh, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:04:40 I just crazy. The bruised. The bruise is still here. That's crazy. It's been a whole month since you fell down the stairs. I'm going to go to the doctor if it doesn't go away. When you were falling down the stairs, you're like, oh, fuck, it's so embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:04:55 No, I said, oh. That was like a thud, or you like rolled down. It was a thud and then slide on my butt down. Game is furious. So anyway, so plastics. Maybe they buried it. Anyway, people drink plastic water. I couldn't get into the whole thing because I keep losing the lids.
Starting point is 00:05:15 What? Yeah. How are you doing that? You couldn't get into the water bottle thing. You can't lose this lid. You can't lose this lid. Yeah, but you can't. That's a big lid.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Maybe that's what I need. Yeah. It's more lid than bottle. Yeah. You can't lose this lid. It is lighter than mine for sure. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:29 But like, why does it look like that? It looks like a kettlebell, but also like a baby's bottle. Yeah, it kind of does. Okay. Okay. I found this in two seconds, Gabe. Thank you for your, thank you for your effort. Oh.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Yes. You try out of your bottle bottle. are bad for your health because they release tiny plastics and harmful chemicals into your water. So I'm going to stop. Wait a minute. What did you look up? You just said our price of all bad for you. Yeah, but how many was the question?
Starting point is 00:05:52 Yeah, that was the question. Damn. Damn. Gabe just said I'll see you at the end of the podcast. He said, keep fucking lucking, idiot. Yeah. Get fucked nerd. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Let's fucking move on. Who gives your shit? What the hell is wrong with you? No, no, no. I want to know because I want to freak you out a lot of further. Especially considering last week, you found out that your plane travel is shaving. There's no specific weekly limit or official quota for how many you should drink. Wow. What are you fucking learned that?
Starting point is 00:06:22 Seems like you must have been talking to the... I swear to the stink bug people. You got fake news and the stink plug people. Who are the stink bus people? That's a callback. Callback to the last week's podcast episode. No. It wasn't.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I swear we can cut around this part on this. I mean, why? I might just get it. I think you're getting a. your head a little bit. Maybe it's on. Everything's okay. Everything's okay.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Yeah, everything's okay. I'm an anxious person. Maybe it's all the caffeine. I've had like seven. Yeah, no. You're okay. Two hours. Everything's fine.
Starting point is 00:06:49 He's not doing all right. Yeah, I'm good. I'm good. Anyway, back to what we're talking about. Are you like this? You're embarrassing us in front of our new friend and guest. I'm sorry. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:07:01 That's okay. I get it. Is that, can we call you gum. No, you can call me gum. I haven't had anything yet. Jamie, you just got done with Master Chef. I did. How was that?
Starting point is 00:07:12 It feels like I came back from war. Really? Yeah. Okay. I feel like it made me think I didn't work a day in my life. Wow. Yeah. It was just a crazy schedule.
Starting point is 00:07:22 I mean, you guys have seen how it is like under like music videos or stuff like that, but it's like that every day. Right. And it's crazy. I just woke up at like 5 a.m. every day. The call time was like 6 a.m. Wow. Brutal. At the studio and there's like no lights at all so you don't know what time it is.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And then you're cooking for the whole day. And then you have interviews after. So then I was home at like 11 p.m. every day. So I would have five hours of sleep and then I would go again and again and again. So how much of that time were you just sitting around doing nothing? I would say like, no, you're not doing nothing because they have you film like walk-ins and they have you film like a bunch of different shots they need even though they don't use all of it. Oh, interesting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:01 So the only time you're actually waiting is like during interview times. Okay. So you're like waiting for other people to finish their interview. But it's a it's it was a lot. Is there drama? Yeah, there's always drama for sure. Yeah. Yeah, no shit.
Starting point is 00:08:17 It's because it's like a simulation. It feels like a simulation and a human experiment. And like when you're in it, you don't realize, you don't have like touch with the reality in the world. How does Gordon Ramsey smell? He actually smells really good. Does he mean? No, no, he's not mean. But he's very impatient.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Like he's like, can we keep going? Let's keep going. He's like really, really impatient. But he does smell really. How often he's, do you see him? Every, every,
Starting point is 00:08:42 every filming basically. Wow, really? Yeah. He's present. He's present, yeah. But he probably isn't there as much as you guys are, I imagine.
Starting point is 00:08:49 He's honestly there the whole time until like interviews and stuff and then he's out. But he is present because they need him for the show. But his charisma is like crazy. I don't know. You know how production works.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Sometimes you see the star. He comes in. He looks like he's there all the time, but really he's just in and out. Oh, no. He's there the whole time. Like, staring at you cooking.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Right. Oh, that's so intimidating. Yeah. He did call me a good girl, though. Oh. Oh. Oh. Really?
Starting point is 00:09:17 It was, I was like, oh my gosh. I had like 30 seconds at the clock and I was like, oh. And he's a good girl. Yeah. Was it like that? I would have been blushing. He was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, put the sauce on, put the sauce on now. And I started putting it on.
Starting point is 00:09:32 He was like, good girl. But I feel like that's, he says that as praise. Yeah. I feel like it's a normal. I feel like it's an English thing. It's an English thing. But to Americans, it's like, oh my God. I don't.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I feel like if we said good girl to you, it would be more sexual. I'm blushing. It'd be a little, it'd be on Twitter. You had a moment where you're like, it'd be on Twitter. Oh, it would definitely be on Twitter. It was probably still going to be on Twitter. I think I've heard him say that before.
Starting point is 00:09:56 He has definitely said it. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. But the fact that you got one is. Was it like a cheerio chat type of good girl? Was it like, good girl. It was closer to the second. Yay!
Starting point is 00:10:07 But it's like it was like that. But he's got a wife and kids. Yeah, that the sauce is on. Like, I think he's just really nice. Just because there's a referee doesn't mean you can't attempt a story. Are you trying to sleep with Gordera? No, no, no, no. She's cleared up the allegations.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Yeah, no. But I think he has endearing feelings for anyone around his daughter's age. Yeah. So. Spitter drink out. So did you, are you allowed to tell us where you placed? I was top. Yeah, it's over now, right?
Starting point is 00:10:38 Yeah, it's over now, yeah. Top nine. Yeah. That's impressive. How many contestants? It started off with 40, 40-ish, yeah. You're a damn good chef. I mean, I can cook a little bit.
Starting point is 00:10:51 That's great. You know what? I've been eating around recently, and I've been thinking about this because I know we're going to chat. What? I've been eating around recently? Like a human. What the fuck does that even? You're doing okay.
Starting point is 00:11:07 It's okay. It's such a funny way to start a conversation. Good girl. You know, I've been eating around. You don't normally do it. You said it like your fucking strangers. Yeah, I've been eating around. I've been eating out.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Eating out. Wait, like. Eating out. Yeah. And I was eating out today. And I was thinking about, as I was eating, I was like, I'm going to talk to Jamie about this today. What the fuck is going on with restaurants just dumping oil on everything?
Starting point is 00:11:34 Oh, my God. What is going on? You're a chef? Can you speak that? The Shats just like love oils right now, like infused oils. They're like, they need something like a little bit to put on the top. So they always drizzle something on top like cilantro oil or like anything oil. Is that like a trend right now?
Starting point is 00:11:49 Is that what's going on? It's a matter right now. It's hot. I think it isn't matter right now, but I personally don't like it that much because unless chili oil. Better question. Yeah. I asked them this same question. You bitch.
Starting point is 00:12:03 It's a good question. Same thing though. Okay. If you had to make one food to save your fucking. life. Like there's a tyrant and he's like, please my stomach or face my guillity. Probably steak. Like a steak.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Really? Yeah. Kind of steak. I mean, I can cook any steak. What cut? I love a good ribby. I actually love short rib. Like people sleep on short rib. But it's a really good cut of meat and it's cheaper. But a lot of people marinate short rib, but if you just cook it like on its own, it's so good.
Starting point is 00:12:30 You know, I used to be a big filet guy. But filet mignon, it's so, it's so It is cliche. It's also bad. It's literally marketing. It doesn't taste that. Filet mignon is considered the best cut of the meat by restaurants exclusively as a marketing thing, right? Because initially, when they first did it, it's not like a rabbi is marbled. A ribbi is a much better cut of meat. It's much tastier. Filet mignon doesn't have any fat in that area. So I think they initially started marketing it towards women as like a diet alternative. Yeah, they're such marketing. I didn't know. But it's the most expensive and it's the smallest so people think it's the best. It's not.
Starting point is 00:13:12 I'm a tomahawk man. Tomahawk is good. I like Tomahawk. Do you eat it with like your hands? Yeah, well, it depends on how I'm feeling. Oh, okay. Good girl. Good girl.
Starting point is 00:13:21 I'm like Gordon Ramsey to choke me while I eat my time. Oh my god. What was the, like did you have to audition for this? Or like, how did this whole part, like, can you? None of us have ever been on a show like that? Yeah. Can start us from like top to bottom? A lot of people think I was, like,
Starting point is 00:13:36 I think I was like recruited because I was writing content, but like the day before applications closed, I was like, oh fuck, I'm going to apply. So I applied and then they messaged me in like two days and then I went through this whole process. You have to go through like a mental health screening. You have to go through. Yeah. There's like no.
Starting point is 00:13:51 No, you're in. Oh. Yeah, it's true. They love like anyone that has mental illness. This woman is broken. But like Master Chef like it's a lot more family friendly. But like I feel like love is blind. They specifically look for people who are like.
Starting point is 00:14:06 It was like, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I used to do. I'm just kidding. I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. It was a joke.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Come on. Can't we laugh? We can laugh. Okay. Go ahead. Sorry. Oh, man, cutie. I am so excited.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Don't even talk to me. I'm going to the Raiders at the Chargers that I found on Seat Geek right now. No, you are not? I've been a big fan of the Raiders and the Chargers. And so I get to see them face off. And I wouldn't have been able to if it wasn't for the Seat Geek app. Who are you rooting for? The, the, both of them.
Starting point is 00:14:36 incredible. Well, you know what? You know what, Kudy? You could do whatever you want with Seat Geek because there's over 70,000 events listed, including the sporting event. You're going to see. Yeah, I love baseball. Concerts, festivals, and more. You love baseball? I love it. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:14:52 What game you're going to go to? The Raiders and the Chargers. That's not baseball. There's no way you're right. What? Okay. Well, look, you can find all sorts of things on the Seat Geek app, concerts, sporting events, whatever you want. There's so many things. This is where I'm going to sit. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:08 That's incredible. Those are real, that's a great deal. That ticket's only $107. Yeah, it's front row. That's crazy. Catch her in the front row. Each seat's rated on a scale of 1 to 10, so you know you're getting a great deal. The new year means new artists are on tour.
Starting point is 00:15:22 To make it even better, you can use code for 10% off for ticket. That's 10% off tickets with promo code for your 10. Oh. Yeah, but. Stop drinking. No, no. Here's what happened. Here's what happened.
Starting point is 00:15:35 He's like a baby. okay and and as a baby he has had too much caffeine 700 milligrams that's crazy I don't even know how much is in is I've just been drinking him all day anyway yeah you sound like you're on coke yeah if you were just like I got an idea for a business
Starting point is 00:15:52 I gotta pitch you guys right now I'd be like the guy's on coke but yeah it was this huge thing 400 questions wow 400 what are they asking yeah was any of it about your cooking skills or like what was it there was like a question for cooking skills, but the one about mental illness was like, oh, like, have you ever had
Starting point is 00:16:10 like violent thoughts towards like people? A chef? With a British accent. I guess they have knives, yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's true. So they want to make sure they're not like a killer. Wow. Yeah, they were like... Really good TV, but one off. It's a one off. How many people do you think that really filters though?
Starting point is 00:16:26 So many. Do you think people like, have you ever have thought you never asked? 400 questions alone filters a lot of people. Like, they just give up. They're like, huh? Yeah, there's a question that was like, what's like the worst thing you ever thought of? And like, I had to pause because I was like, oh my God. The worst thing you ever thought? Yeah, so then I came up with something
Starting point is 00:16:43 really tame. You don't have to actually answer it sincerely. That's what I was saying. Like, you know it's a trap, right? Yeah. So I just made something up and I was like, oh, like, I wouldn't mind of like the world ended tomorrow. And I thought that was really tame and they were like... Wait, really? I know. So then I was like, oh, God. You wouldn't mind at the world ended the world, they thought you were suicidal. Yeah. Oh,
Starting point is 00:17:02 really? The worst thing I ever thought was probably like the fact that like a raccoon on the side of the road, the road kill, like his family misses him is probably what I would have said. That's a really good answer. That's the worst thing that you could think of? I'm talking when I'm in an interview. Oh, okay. The worst thing I ever thought of is like
Starting point is 00:17:17 my family in their head blown out. You know what's so interesting, Qie, that you said that because I was driving by a raccoon that was just completely eviscerated. That's super sad. And no, and I was driving by and everybody was just driving on by and I said we, that is, we've just normalized this. There's no cons song about that.
Starting point is 00:17:34 We've normalized roadkill? No, like, that was a life that was just taken from us. And we're just driving on by. Everybody's just, you know, going to the store, going about their business. And that fucking raccoon is just, just on the side. No. You know what I mean? That's not funny.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It's not funny. It's a really good point. It's true. We just going about our days. You know, you're right. I hate that we've normalized roadkill. Like, can somebody just get a fucking shovel? We call a guy.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Let's get out and read some words. They have. They have that. They have people that do that. Yeah, RFK Jr. It comes in and he eats it. Well, I know, but you drive around the road, you drive down the road and you get to Rokeo. Everybody's reaction.
Starting point is 00:18:13 University, it's, oh, fuck. And they just keep on going to. I think it's sad. I get really sad. But what am I going to pull over and clean it up? That's what I'm saying? You don't? Maybe I should.
Starting point is 00:18:23 You know what I mean? Unless it's too big, like a deer. I think we should get back to the food stuff. I have a lot more questions. That's fair. Okay. So that was your big, your scariest thing you ever thought. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:33 So you said steak? That's your that's your favorite dish to make as well? Or that's the dish that you would make to save your life? To save my life, probably steak. I really recently, I love making foo fu-foo. It's like a Nigerian. Like it kind of feels like. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:49 It's like mashed potato mochi is how I would describe it. Yeah. But it tastes really good. Wait, what do you make with the foo? Yeah. What do you for? If you guys like make foo and eat it, like it'll pop off on social media. Because, like, people love watching.
Starting point is 00:19:05 People eat food. Yeah, it's, like, slime videos, but for food. You can make it with, like, traditionally, it's done with, like, a goosey stew. But recently, like, I'll just make, like, a Malaysian stew because I do Malaysian cooking and I'll eat foo with it. It's just really good with any stew. So if you have, like, a stew in your culture that you really like, it's so good with foo. Are you Malaysian? I'm Malaysian, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Oh, wow. Yeah. But it's so good. Yeah. I love, I've never had foo foo. What's in foo? Uh, you can make. like plantain foo or cassava foo.
Starting point is 00:19:35 So there's different types and then they pound it like yam. I want to take you to an authentic Nigerian restaurant one day to just see your reaction. Back in the day my friend used to take me to this Nigerian restaurant. No, no, it's not normal. It's in like Englewood and it's basically this lady's living room. And I'm almost certain that it was not. I'm almost certain it was this lady's living here. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Like I'm saying like if it like there's a. outside but also at the same time you walk in and you're like is this okay what are the vibes here nigerian food is very interesting i actually fuck with it heavy yeah i like it too it's except when i went with tome back in the day we went with tommy together but we didn't go to a woman's no no this was a different one we didn't go to a woman's no no this he took me to a different one the one that he took me to and like i think it was like inglewood is you remember when we went with tome and he ordered something that was like crazy spicy and And he just tried to like float it across our bowel.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Yes. And it wasn't. And he did that twice to me. In both instances, this motherfucker would be like, all right. He's like, he's like, come on. You should get this. He's like, yeah, you should get this. It's really good.
Starting point is 00:20:47 And I don't hear what he ordered. So I get the food. And I'm like, okay, what's going on in here? And there's like some, there's stuff in there that I was not, let's say, used to. Right? I'm Turkish. I eat Kokorich, which is sheep intestines. I love that shit.
Starting point is 00:21:01 But like, I mean, there is. No, it's good. Oh, love it. But, like, there was stuff in there, like, cartilage. And I was like, and I'm trying to eat this, I'm trying to eat this, like, dish. And he's looking at me laughing. He ordered chicken. Oh, that's mean.
Starting point is 00:21:16 I was like, bro, what are you doing? He did that to us as well. And it was spicy. No, this was another time. He just ordered one dish, and he kind of, like, was, like, watching. And we were, like, eating it. We were like, and he's like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:30 He's probably, like, sadistic. Well, did you all of rice? Slash. If you want a good Turkish restaurant, my favorite restaurant in L.A., that's Turkish food, is Sora Craft Kitchen. And it's his one guy. He does everything. Like, he does the service.
Starting point is 00:21:44 He does the cooking. He does the trash out. It's in arts district, but I think he has a new, he's expanding and he got a new place. Wait, Google this. I think I might have been there. Yeah, Sora craft kitchen. Oh, wow. Is that the guy right there?
Starting point is 00:21:57 That's like really him. That's his living room. Yeah. And then all his tables were like from IKEA. And his plates are from like a ceramicist who like visited his restaurant. How cool. How many, how many tables does he have in there? It looks like four or five in that picture.
Starting point is 00:22:12 At least like six, six. Okay, he's doing six tables at once? Yeah. Damn. How the hell is he whipping it up consistently for six people? He doesn't have a server or anything. He doesn't have a number. What is the main?
Starting point is 00:22:23 Is it changing or is it like? Um, he has, well, it changes a little bit, but it's like very modern type of Turkish food, but it's so delicious. What does he make? I need to show you guys a picture. Can you start at the menu? There's one with like, it's like this beef patty and it's like juicy and like it's like, it was so good. But I forgot what it was called.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Maybe that was it. Kebop? I don't know kebab, I don't know. And he made like this rice put him to. You don't have to put the stank on kebab. I mean, it's just like, yeah. And kebob. His kebub is really good.
Starting point is 00:23:00 He's doing like a Spanish teacher thing where you're like. I mean, I just. I mean, he does, you know. Yeah, but you, come on. Get it bad. Chebub. Yeah, kebub. Find the juicy patty.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Juicy patty. Oh, right there, the Ketel. That's what it's called. What is he called? Keitel? That thing on the bottom. Oh, Ketel. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:23:19 God damn it. Yeah. That's not the Turkish word. I mean, Sora is not really interesting. Okay, so what happened after your 400 questions? Oh, right. Okay. Yeah, yeah. It was like a two, three month process and then like you yeah, and you have to put in like wardrobe, like you have to send in like 20.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Oh my gosh. And then I sent in like 15 with a miniskirt hoping they would accept it. Oh. And they did accept it. They did accept it. And then like the first like six episodes I got to like wear whatever I wanted. But then on the seventh episode, production doesn't work with wardrobe team. It's like separate. Oh, interesting. So our wardrobe team put me in like this miniskirt set. But production decided to do a team challenge that. And it was for 100 kids. Like we had to cook for 100 kids. Oh.
Starting point is 00:24:06 So I was in a soccer field because our season was themed as the World Cup season. Okay. So that's why we were representing like different countries. But the whole episode of just like running around pulling my skirt down. And then after that, the production was like, hey, we really like Jamie's like outfits. But we're going to have to put some more clothes on her because when she's wearing a tank top and an apron, it looks like she's. naked. Oh no. So after that I get like really
Starting point is 00:24:35 conservative with my outfits. Yeah. That's so funny. But it's a cool process. Like if you guys ever wanted to do reality TV. Yeah. I've always wanted to do Survivor. Oh, you'd be so good at Survivor. Yeah, I'm a big survivor fan. But you've never even applied.
Starting point is 00:24:51 I've never applied. You want to know why? Survivor's like three months of your life. It is three months. Go, kid. We believe in you. What do you mean? What the fuck are you talking about? We can't lose him for three months. Let him live his dreams. There's so many episodes of power. Why are we holding in bat? I feel like it's worth it. I, well, thank you. I grew up watching Food Network, though.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Ooh. I grew up my favorite show on Food Network was Iron Chef. Did you ever watch Iron Chef? God, the original Iron Chef was fucking incredible. It was really good. Did you guys ever watch Iron Chef? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Chef Morimoto.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Yeah. And then what's her name? Alex became one. And then we had freaking the barbecue guy. That was Iron Chef America. which was an inferior version. Iron Chef America was
Starting point is 00:25:34 was unreal because they would have the iron chefs and they all came out of the ground and they represent the region and then the challengers they would cut a promo on him and they'd be like Fukudy son is a two he's like an ambidextreous sushi chef and then they would show like a promo of him being like cut like cutting fish with both hands
Starting point is 00:25:50 and they'd like can his two swords style take on the iron and it was just so awesome it was like over the top and then they made up a fake billionaire pull up pull this guy up They made up a fake billionaire for Iron Chef who owned Kitchen Stadium and this was like his perverse dream to pit the greatest chefs against each other
Starting point is 00:26:08 and they like built it like professional wrestling and I think it's one of the greatest shows not just cooking shows, greatest shows period. So I got really into the food network and my favorite celebrity chef of all time was Ian Gardner. Damn, that's taste. Well, thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Yeah, that's taste. Wow. Oh my gosh. That's my girl right there. Oh my goodness. Store bought is fine. Look at her. So who's your favorite celebrity chef if you had to pick one?
Starting point is 00:26:32 I mean, it has to be Gordon Ramsey. Oh, you're lying. Ever since he called me good girl. You're trying to get back on another season. Yes, I have. I got one. Austin, who's your favorite celebrity? Chuck Foreman.
Starting point is 00:26:45 What? There's Chuck Foreman. Jack Foreman. George. George. Also, he's not a chef. He was a boxer. And it was a grill.
Starting point is 00:26:56 It was a grist. It was not a chef. Chuck Foreman is a running back for the movie. Is Chuck Foreman is a running back, I think. Oh, here's the billionaire, by the way, in case you guys want to see. Oh, that's sick. Okay, I can't why you love the show. You can start off every, you've never seen it?
Starting point is 00:27:14 No. Oh my God. We got to watch it on the paywall. By going, I'm at Quassie! And then he would take a bite of a lot. We got to watch it behind the paywall. Patreon episode, we can react to that. It's a good of show.
Starting point is 00:27:25 My favorite. Chef is Jose Andres. I just had one that I could say. I don't know. Which is why I asked Austin because I knew he was going to give an answer. My real answer was, but I disavowed her was Paula Dean before she said to him. My favorite ship is Paula Dean. Mine's a little, mine's in pastry, obviously.
Starting point is 00:27:48 But my idol was always Rob Ben Israel. He was, he's still alive, but he's like the father of, gum paste flowers, sugar flowers. And he's incredible. What do you make? Let's see. Duff Gold Bloom from, or is it Goldberg or Goldblum? Ace Cakes. He's my like all-time favorite. Wow, okay. Love Duff. Love Duff.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Or Martha Stewart, of course. The founding mother. Rob Ben Israel. Oh, Robben Israel. And yeah, he's based out of New York. He used to do this internship. Oh. He looks like a patista. Oh
Starting point is 00:28:26 Google has put gum paste flowers at the end He used to this internship out of New York That you could learn how to make these gum paste flowers And it was like so hard to get into That's not what Paste That's crazy And he just makes like stung
Starting point is 00:28:44 Wait that's Okay That that cakes like a famous That humming of the goddess or whatever Like over over Oh I see it up in the middle right Right in the middle. Go two over.
Starting point is 00:28:55 That's what most of his cakes look like. Wow. Damn. That's beautiful. That's the type of shit he would make. That's pretty cool. But is it tasty? His cakes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:06 No, the flowers. Oh, no, the flowers. They kind of, you know, like smarties. I've had them before. I don't like they. Yeah, they're like smarties. But I will say his, I think, I remember when I was doing my cake pricing,
Starting point is 00:29:16 I looked up his cake pricing. And some wedding cakes, they'll do it priced per the slice, which is interesting. It's kind of a cheeky way to charge whatever. what the fuck you want um but his was like $15 per the slice which if you look at it i mean a cake that large a thousand slices it yeah like well that's gonna give you let me recall yeah it like his base cakes cost like at the time like 800 bucks which is a lot for a cake because i used to charge 300 for a wedding cake damn holy car which now obviously i charge more but and then yeah what like
Starting point is 00:29:50 it'd be like 20 dollars per gum paste flour like his cakes are insane oh what's the what's the what's the going rate for a wedding cake right now. It's about 600. Oh, a banger. Wait, like that celebrity chef cake is going to be fucking crazy. No, no, no. For hit, that cake's probably $2,000.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Down. Yeah. Minimum. It's a lot. I would guess. Yeah. That's not as much as I could. Yeah, I thought it was going to be more expensive.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Oh, great. Because the wedding tax, right? You assume, I mean, obviously it's a lot for a cake. Yeah. But because of the wedding tax and because of that it's like the center piece of the wedding, my expectation was like, It would be like 10,000. Guys, I have horrible news.
Starting point is 00:30:30 All of these boys are at the doctor right now because they had an egregious case of pubic lice that they all caught from each other. And if it wasn't for Zoc Doc, they wouldn't have been able to get into an appointment as quickly as they were. And you might be wondering, QD, how did they all get it?
Starting point is 00:30:48 And you didn't. There's an obvious answer to that. You do have to be involved. And I don't want to start rumors, but it is suspicious, isn't it? Anyway, what's important to talk about is that ZocDoc was able to fit them all in. And you might be like, Kuddy, but ZocTalk, it's an app where you can, based on your location, based on your network, you can find a doctor that is readily available.
Starting point is 00:31:07 They have more than 1,500 providers with 200 specialties across all 50 states. I meant they have 150,000 providers with more than 200 plus specialties across all 50 states. And you can usually find appointments within 24 to 72 hours. God because they were itching. They were itching up a storm. Okay. And it's fixed now. So you could get fixed as well if you go to Zoc Doc.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Your health matters and taking care of yourself should not be complicated. Ready to be seen head to Zocdoc.com slash fear to get started. And check that appointment off your to do list. That's ZOC, doc.com slash fear. Yeah. I don't, I, you know. If I'm going to get the humming of the fucking goddess. I've never seen a.
Starting point is 00:31:54 I will say I've been out of the game for a little bit. I've been charging for my cakes. Oh, it's Ichdy Kofte. Yes. Okay. It's so good. Wow. That's my first time having it.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Gabe, you are on it. You're juggling. It was behind this one. Yeah. Are you going to make your own wedding cake? I am making my own wedding cake. Oh, my gosh. So how did you settle in the name, Gumdrop?
Starting point is 00:32:15 Were you a candy person, too? I was a candy person. I played League of Legends. Oh, yeah. And then my. username was either going to be licorice or gumdrop. And I chose gumdrop. Oh, God, licorice.
Starting point is 00:32:29 I know. And then, like, two years later, there's a pro player called licorice. No, but I could take his name. Do you like Ligurich? No, it was just like a candy name that was taken. Like, I went on Wikipedia and typed in list of candy names. And then I went through one of them. And then it was licorish and gumdrop.
Starting point is 00:32:42 But then on Twitch, gumdrop was taken, so I had to do eye gumdrop. And then four years ago, I wanted to change it. But I decided not to because I had no, like, alternative names. And I'm glad I didn't do it. What about Jamie? Well, it's just take it. everywhere. You can
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah. It's just like too late now. I'm just going to be like gumdrop till I'm like That's kind of how I feel about my dumb ass name. Is I'm like when do I transit? No. You got a good name. I remember you talking about name changing.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Do you remember that? You're like I'm on. I want to be Blair. It's weird. It's weird. Do not change it. I call you a cutie literally all the time. Well then it'll just feel like a compliment.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Oh, that's true. I'll be like, wow. They think I'm so cool. That's correct. If you change your name, It would be hard to transition. I've got a controversial take about names. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:28 I don't think that it really, I don't know if it matters as much as people think. I agree. Like, cutie Cinderella is a... Ooh, I disagree. It's really good SEO. If I had gone by my gaming name, I would be cooked. What? What was your gaming name?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Well, if it was problematic, yeah. Extra filthy violator, filthy rapscallion. Yeah, yeah, of course. I mean, to an extent, right? I'm just saying, you know, like to an extent, obviously. During Rob Scalian was. Dirty reps, you just think it's bad because we know he was Will Nef. Also, this podcast literally named Fear End.
Starting point is 00:34:01 It makes no sense. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No, it makes a ton of sense. I actually told this story the other night. People were like, how did you end up on Fear End? And I was like, oh, well, I came up with the name Fear and Loathing in Los Angeles. And your podcast producer, people were like, no, we want something from right here. And so we ended up on molding.
Starting point is 00:34:19 And I begged them. I was like, it's the dumbest. It's not even funny now. and it's trending. Like, I hate it. I hate it so much. They're like, no,
Starting point is 00:34:26 we're going fear mold. And then we chop the molding off and now it's fear in. Right. But my attitude on it was- Fear Loving in Los Angeles would have been, it's too long.
Starting point is 00:34:34 We can add it back in if you want. It's too long. But I will say this. My opinion on naming conventions is like, if it's unconventional and strange, then it can be interesting for the search engine optimization and it can be like a stand-alone brand.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Because everyone goes, what's fear in? There you go. Well, I mean, Every time people ask, like, what's fair in? I'm like, I don't fucking know. That's what I said.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Yeah, I'm just like it was a, it doesn't mean anything. I say, well, I'll bring up fear. I said, I'll say, oh, one of the co-hosts or one, like, the guy who found it, it likes feeling and loathing. Yeah, that's what I said, no. No, that's why. You've never seen fear and loathing is the reason why it's fear in. I always tell me.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Yeah, I don't know what that movie is. I told me without a book. It's a movie too. Well, it's a movie as well, but it's, it's, Hunter S. Thompson. You don't think of him as like a movie. guy. Raul Duke. Who's Hunter S. Thompson?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Back to Real. I'm like, just kidding. Just kidding. Just kidding. Oh, yeah. No, but he wrote like his series
Starting point is 00:35:32 was Fear and Lolling on the campaign trail. So you guys don't know why we're named Fyron. No. This is a great little learning experience. So Dr. Honduras Thompson, aka Raul Duke, invented a style of journalism. He called Gonzo.
Starting point is 00:35:45 And Gonzo journalism was him being embedded with things and not approaching them from the perspective of being a journalist. but rather approaching them natively and doing a lot of drugs. But I thought at the time way back when that we kind of approached our content in the same way that we were like native for everything. We were firsthand for everything, especially through streaming, which was still kind of like relatively in its primordial phase.
Starting point is 00:36:10 So I was like, oh, we will continue the tradition of gonzo journalism. And that will be our- Also, we talked about politics a lot more back- Yeah, that will be our tip of the cap to the man to do it before us. So that's why we became fear end. But you talked about politics more? Yeah, we just talk about, we just talk about politics. Why did you stop?
Starting point is 00:36:26 You two. What did I do? I was, I'm very political. I've been political since I was a first grader. Second grader. That's early. That's pretty early. We did talk about that last week.
Starting point is 00:36:35 And we did talk about that. I think that, I think part of it is we wanted to open it up to people, particularly guests. And I think when you get too political, people get really tight. People get really nervous. And it's hard to have like kind of a candid conversation. I get loose. Did we ruin the podcast?
Starting point is 00:36:51 No. No, you guys improved. No, no. No, I mean, she got invited. What do I do? I said, I want to be a part of that. So I'm inviting myself. It is funny when I think about it.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I don't know how you ended up here. I told Will and I said, that's bullshit. He asked. I asked. I said, I told Will, I think literally, I remember being in the parking lot of Starbucks before we disavowed them completely. And I remember the conversation. I was like, Will, I need this.
Starting point is 00:37:14 When he disavowed Starvation? No, he, this is it. I was like, hey, Austin, what's up? And he goes, hey, Will. that last episode went pretty well, don't you think? He said up on that and I was like, yeah, it was good, it was good. He's like, well, you know, I was thinking maybe I should come on a few more times. And I was like, yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:37:32 He's like, no, I mean like as a host. Wow. Wait, that's so good. You didn't even come to me. No, because you were ignoring my calls. I just will would be the one to accept me. Because you were too early on. Meanwhile, I mean, I was actively telling them, no, I didn't want to be on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Oh, no. And I was like, no, I want to be a part of me. of it, get me on the payroll, you know, I'll take a check. I was like, I already have a podcast. There's no way I can handle too. Yeah. No, that's what I did. All right, can I say something?
Starting point is 00:37:59 Uh-huh. I'll be honest. I, at the time, was apprehensive of both of you, and I'm so glad that you guys joined. Really? Yeah. Why was asking me to be on then? I didn't. Oh, it was Marsh and Hassan.
Starting point is 00:38:13 What were you? Hassan, you wanted me? I guess. Wow, you're a real soft. you know that? No, I'm so glad that I, that you guys were both at it. I don't, I don't think it would have been nearly, I thought they just wanted, I thought you just wanted a girl. No, oh, absolutely not. Oh, I, I thought you just wanted a gay. No, my, my initial impression was that this was going to be our product between the two of us, because we've had this long and special bond, and it would be
Starting point is 00:38:41 an opportunity to hang out with my friend. And then as it started growing, how the hell did we end up here? A lot was pretty good. No, no, no, no, no. It grew, it. It grew, it. It grew, it. It grew, it. It grew, it. It grew, it to be something that like went from being just like something we did as a hobby to like, oh, this is something people watch. And so I'm so glad I added you not just from a successful standpoint, but like I think I've become a better person for hanging out with the two of you more. Oh, that's so sweet. Do you think we were in the podcast?
Starting point is 00:39:07 I thought, I thought this was Katie's podcast. Oh. That is. It is. Good answer. That's awesome. That's what I thought. You did?
Starting point is 00:39:16 Dead ass. Yeah, because well, you guys have some of the episodes. She doesn't even take ownership over, which is great. I do. I help so much. She literally will say, like, you know, wine about it, my podcast. Oh, my God. I hate him. He has such a weird complex
Starting point is 00:39:31 about my fucking other podcast that I had before this podcast. It's like, it's like when you start like dating, right? And I'm like, yeah, and you're like, I'm like, but it's like we're all like I'm dating and I'm like, and we're dating and I'm like, and now we're polyamorous. I'm like, I'm dating someone else is what I tell them
Starting point is 00:39:47 the whole time. I'm like, I am dating someone else Is that okay with you? Is that okay with you? It was never okay. Damn. I was honest. They'll say yes and then complain about it later. But the other thing I'll say is I don't think the podcast would have lasted as long without the two of you.
Starting point is 00:40:02 I agree. I think it would have been done by now. 100%. 100%. It would have been in the toilet. Okay, bro. We really slammed at home. No, not because you guys aren't very talented.
Starting point is 00:40:13 But, you know. I was surprised when you asked to be on the pot. I was like, you want to be on the pot? Of course. I already booked my plane ticket. I was at the That call wasn't from the parking lot of Starbucks
Starting point is 00:40:23 I was at the airport I will I'm ready No I'm so happy This is one of my favorite things That I do every week Used to be the only thing I did every week
Starting point is 00:40:32 But I've been streaming a lot lately Hopefully How did you take time off From streaming to do the show It was wonderful Yeah It was amazing It was really
Starting point is 00:40:42 It was so nice Did you see growth on all your platforms From it? I did but then I also, like, loved not streaming that I took an even longer break. Oh, my God. How funny? That's kind of what I didn't do.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Wait, how much, how much girl? Can we pop the door open? It's so hot. I was thinking that too, but I didn't want to be that person. It's sweltering. I was like, if I'm hot, they must be so hot. Try to crank the AC, actually. It's fucked up.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Is there even a vent in here? Yeah. Oh, yeah. But the lights are on. It's been on for a while. Yeah, how much? What are we talking? It gave me a lot of crows.
Starting point is 00:41:18 credibility growth. Yeah, that makes sense. I think that's what I was searching for before the show, just because, like, people couldn't take me seriously or, like, understand how much I liked cooking. Yeah. So I went on the show. And also, like, I always just searched for the next high or, like,
Starting point is 00:41:31 a next challenge type of thing. So after the show, like, it gave me a lot of credibility. I was representing Malaysia, so I became like... That's intense. That's a lot of time. Do you have, like, a ton of fans in Malaysia now that are like, that's so dope? And I also, like, had a controversy that ended up in Malaysia.
Starting point is 00:41:47 What? Literally the whole country was talking about it. Wasn't that a mini skirt? No, it wasn't a mini script. But I was making a dish called Roti Chanae and it's really hard. It takes eight hours to make and I did it in like one one hour because it's a dough and it has to like it has to. So how did you do it? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I just did it. It obviously wasn't as ideal. But it still like came out to be good. I said that I said it wrong. So it's Roti to Nye. I said Roti Kani on the show. And then so everyone was like. Wait, it's what?
Starting point is 00:42:18 And you said what? It's Roti Chennai, and I said Roti Kanae. So try not come. Okay. Yeah. I'm clearly not Malaysian. Yeah. I thought it wasn't a huge deal.
Starting point is 00:42:29 And then I went to sleep in the next morning. It was like on news outlets. Isn't that how it goes, though? It was all over like Malaysia. So if you go to Malaysia, like you get recognized everywhere. I haven't been yet. So I'm not sure. I'm telling you, if I got famous in another country, I'd be there.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Dang, they got a good photo of you. Yeah. So then everyone starts. for butchering Yeah, I saw her, like, okay, let me do an apology, and everyone was like, why are you guys like shooting on her for something so stupid? She's out to represent me.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Wait, let's watch the video. Let's watch the video. Wow. I was at a pool. You don't look sad enough. Yeah. Are you even sad? I get sad.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Like, in the middle. You know, I have a dip. Okay, good. So it doesn't look too obvious. Okay, great. A lot of people are mad at me for pronouncing road to be. I don't like sad.
Starting point is 00:43:21 You're so right. Wow. Why were you smiling when you said sorry? I say this because I had to apologize before. What were people saying? They're like, fuck you up. Yeah, that's pretty much it. That's the whole gist of it.
Starting point is 00:43:38 She's like, please don't make me watch it. You guys could take my address off of Twitter. I would appreciate it. I think it just created a lot of conversation. and then people were like, now everyone knows what Roti Chennai is. Yeah. That's exciting.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Yeah. So a lot of people were like, she's representing Malaysia, and I feel like it gave me more growth than like negative. And then I was just like, okay, it was like a good controversy because like it brought like attention
Starting point is 00:44:02 to Malaysian cuisine. Yeah. Yeah. But it's like a joke now. It's just a mean now. Yeah, you're like, okay. That's so interesting. So are you going to audition for more?
Starting point is 00:44:12 I am, okay, so like before I went on Master's like two. years ago. I was like I feel like I should get good at cooking and focus. I don't know why. Okay. So now I'm kind of on the same thing around. I'm like, okay, I want to do another competition. Okay. For sure. Because like I didn't go into MasterShuff thinking I could win.
Starting point is 00:44:28 And I wish I fucking did. Because I think I have a mindset to win, you can win. Like on all reality shows, like traders, big brother. Like you have to go in like seriously thinking that you want to win. And if you don't, like, you're just not going to win. Yeah, because you could go in with it just, I'm happy to be here. I'm on TV. And that was like, that's not the mindset to have. Like, you just want to win.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Did you go in with a little bit of that? Like, oh, I'm happy to be on TV. I wanted to prove myself. Yeah, I didn't know if I would get past the audition. Like, I didn't know how good I was because I'd never competed and I just cooked at home. Now I'm stoked for you. Now I need you to go back and do it again. I want to do one more competition.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Did they let you do it again for Massachusetts? They have seasons where it's like they bring back. Yeah, but I do want to do a Netflix one. Who is your least favorite competitor? Yeah, you're really gonna just air this show. Yeah, no, no, no. I love all of them. You did like all of them.
Starting point is 00:45:22 There were some, I mean, like, people would take each other's ingredients sometimes and it's hard. But it ended up, like, being a family, like, when you get close to your cast. Yeah, it's like camp. It's like camp. Weird question. Did they put you in nice accommodations? It was like, we actually had a little kitchenette in our, in our house. In your whole chat?
Starting point is 00:45:43 Yeah, it wasn't like a super. Super, super nice hotel, but it had everything. Yeah, resident in, right? Yeah, just, like, had laundry. Yeah. We didn't have any days off, and if we did, we just had, I just had to do my laundry. You're describing residents in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Wait, what's residence in? It's a marriott. He gets really worked up about, um. Hotels. Hotels in place. He's had a lot of caffeine in. That's a special interest in. I see, I see.
Starting point is 00:46:05 It was like a, I forgot what it's called. Yeah. What's one of the Netflix ones? Yeah. Um, there's coin in class wars, which like, I feel like, Oh, I've seen that one. Yeah. It's usually, it's, it's,
Starting point is 00:46:14 Koreans but I feel like they're running out of Korean talent so maybe they'll go for the Asian Americans so I'm like I need to train I recently got approach for reality TV oh my god what well it's it's it was a silly thing so there's this love island no it wasn't a big reality TV thing it was like a small like a company is it a hang oh my guys please um it was a it was a reality TV company that was doing producing videos like a traditional production company that was producing videos on people who felt very that they could land a commercial jet. Right? And the casting director...
Starting point is 00:46:48 Are you fucking serious? I swear to God. I swear to God. The casting director approached me and said, we saw you on Smosh and we want to put you in our video of people that think that they're confident to land a commercial jet. And so I responded with a big paragraph. I said, hey, thanks for the opportunity. I'm interested.
Starting point is 00:47:04 I'll do it. But I just want to let you know. If you're looking for a guy that's not going to land, I'm not your guy. I literally told him. And I said, I just want to let you know, like, I'm going to do it. And if you're looking for a guy, it's like, oh, he's so confident and he can't do it. And then he messes up. I'm not the guy.
Starting point is 00:47:20 I said, I could do it. I could take the plane through every phase of flight, engine failure, whatever. You know, it's no big deal. And he's like, oh, okay. Sure. And then I was like, where is this taking place? And he sent me a destination. I was like, you know, that's not a real full motion training simulator.
Starting point is 00:47:35 That's like not even the real deal. I was like, you're doing this video. And I just kind of tore it apart. And they left me on red for a while. And then he came back to me. He's like, well, actually, we're doing a video of people that. have landed a plane versus whatever
Starting point is 00:47:46 anyway I'm like perfect I'll do it regardless they send me the agreement a non-disclosure agreement and it is like I'm like signing my life away I sent it to my attorney
Starting point is 00:47:57 and I said I'm not fucking they're like we're gonna give you 50 bucks I said who fuck do you no yeah dude it's this reality TV yeah but I said no I said absolutely not I said you had a chance to prove on television
Starting point is 00:48:13 the thing that you talk about weekly and you didn't do it. My attorney wouldn't let me sign it. No, no. It was, it was, it was, my attorney called the deal predatory. Do you think it was a scam? No, I think they created a show
Starting point is 00:48:28 to get you to sign your likeness away? No, no, they created a show to embarrass me. Anthrax products. No, part of the thing, part of the thing in the contract was like, you can't, if you look bad on TV, you can't sue us, you know, something like that.
Starting point is 00:48:40 But you said that you, but you, wait, that's not predatory. No, no, hold on. Take your earnings. No, it was about indemnification or something like that. Like they wouldn't indemnify themselves, but I, I don't know, some, there's like a legal, legal term. Austin. I'm not a fucking attorney.
Starting point is 00:48:54 My attorney. Are you telling me I should go against the advice of my attorney? Austin, what were the parameters that you gave your attorney? I said, look at the contract and tell me my should say like that. Because like, the reason why I was on your side initially is because reality TV show contracts. Can you? So I was on your side because normally those sorts of contracts are. Predatory in the sense that they will actually like take your earnings because if you're an unknown person and you become a television personality
Starting point is 00:49:21 They continue to make money off of like whatever your brand endorsement Yeah, they'll include like your YouTube or whatever you know my fantasy is though? You know how you have like shower fantasies? I Shower fantasies that I win Survivor and I'm the first contestant ever to ask all the the people at the end to vote for the other person to give them the money And I want to go I'm the best survivor of all time and I want to prove that by showing you that I don't even give a fuck about the money give it to them. Wow. And if you think I'm the best, vote for the other
Starting point is 00:49:51 person. Yeah, but then they're gonna, then they're going to vote for you because they're, yeah, but it's about creating the moment. It's about creating, because that's how you come back on Survivor though, is you create a moment. So if you can create discourse, like, because there's going to be people like, oh, they voted with him because he think he's the best, the other people like, they voted with him or they voted
Starting point is 00:50:09 against him because they think he sucks. But then, you know, there's conversation. That's genius, well. Thank you. So, you should do it. Did yours, did you make sure your contract excluded? Because you were big on social media prior. So did you have to check for that stuff?
Starting point is 00:50:21 Yeah, because they had like earning stuff to you. But they gave me like an amendment. Yeah, did they worked with you, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I told them, I said, I'm interested. I'll work with you. I'll send you back red lights and they're like, they're not interested. I was like, no, no.
Starting point is 00:50:34 I said, go, I was like, I don't need this. Yeah, because they're not. I'll go land my own plane. You know what I mean? I'll go, I'll go running a simulator that's actually a real one. Awesome. The point of, from their perspective, the unique experience is not giving people the opportunity to land a plane. It's to give them the opportunity to be on television.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Yeah, I don't need to be on television. I know, but they don't know that. Well, I know. You know what? You know why I made us think about it? Yeah. I have such resentment for the way that traditional media operates. I think you should have been.
Starting point is 00:51:02 They take advantage of people. Sure. They write predatory contracts. And I'm not the one. I'm not the one. Austin, you should just been like, hey, guys, I'm a social. media personality. They hit me up on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:51:14 They knew me. How much do you pay your talent for flight? For flight? Yeah. That's a collaborative thing. How much do you pay people? How much do you pay people to go on your streams? Do you pay people to go on your streams?
Starting point is 00:51:24 Yeah, usually. You pay your collaborative guests. If you and me and Kitty Cinderella, did you pay Christian when he came on your stream? Last time I went on a little stream. You pay people to go on your stream? I gave Christian a bunch of like gifted subs afterward. Damn.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Will always pays me to go on his stream. Always. Yeah, well pays me to go on his stream. Hassan, what? Wait, I've never been paid to go on your show. Wait, Hassan, do you pay me to go on your stream? No. See?
Starting point is 00:51:45 You've never called my stream. I've been on your stream many times. No, you call in. I've sat at here. We all pay each other. That's crazy. I don't pay that. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I don't pay them. I was just costing your bugs. But my point is this. I think you need to stand up for yourself. And you did. And you got an amendment. And that's the way. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:52:04 There's no way they can fucking put, garnisher wages. Yeah, but it's good. It's good. It's good. And that's a lesson to everybody, right? You never know what you're signing. I don't know what you're signing.
Starting point is 00:52:16 I'm always going to talk shit about Gordon Ramsey? I think he's fine with it. Okay. He'll just talk shit back. Two things. I don't think he'll acknowledge his existence. I don't think he's going to acknowledge me. I'm already banned from the UK.
Starting point is 00:52:31 I can't travel there. I can't even go see him. All right. You're making a sad now. Now you're making it about you're making about you. Well, that was, I'm going to make him. Go ahead. Typical.
Starting point is 00:52:42 In Las Vegas, I went to one of his eateries, and it was underwhelming. To be honest, this is a complaint that many people have lodged against. Yeah. Hell's Kitchen? Yes. Yeah. It was... I think any Vegas restaurant owned by a fucking chef.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Capital be bad. I don't know about that. Any Vegas restaurant? Owned by a celebrity chef. There are a few... We went to bizarre meat. That shit went crazy. One of the best burgers I had was from Wolfgang Puck at the O'Hare.
Starting point is 00:53:10 airport. I'm serious. It was an amazing burger. That's crazy. I met Wolfgang Park once. Really? What was it? Context? At his restaurant. He was just like visiting table to table. It was like, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:53:24 I probably wouldn't it be able to recognize. Oh, you would, I promise. Does he look very Wolfgang? Yes. He has these thick glasses that he always wears. I had a similar experience at Hell's Kitchen, though, where I was underwhelmed. Yeah, it was so, it was bad. It wasn't even underwhelming.
Starting point is 00:53:38 I was being nice. It was bad. I ordered the classic What's the classic thing? Yeah, the beef Wellington. Not good. That's funny. And I've had some good ass beef Wellington in my life. We've had Wellington at the Ritz.
Starting point is 00:53:50 We have had... Oh, how bad. I remember that. Wellington at the Ritz. Went to afternoon tea. I said, that's too much. Why the hell was I? We actually ordered...
Starting point is 00:53:58 Yes. Oh, they're mad at me. This is awkward. Yeah. Yeah, where were you? Where the hell were you? I was at home. I was chilling, probably.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I was trying to travel less. Keep back. And then the other one is his sandwich. The toast that he makes. Wait, was it like an ex-Bedict? This is famous. No, look up Gordon Ramsey terrible sandwich. You think that's what's going to come up?
Starting point is 00:54:26 I'm sure. It will call it. Gordon Ramsey terrible sandwich. They did not come up? Yeah, grilled cheese. Worst grilled cheese. What? No, he makes the worst grilled cheese.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Oh. Okay, let's have a real chef, evaluate. Yeah, this is a classic, too. No bias. No bias. This is literal. Yeah. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:54:50 What kind of cheese is that? What the fuck is that? It's a big cheese, I think. Especially. It is so thick. Okay, okay. I buttered my toast, too. The British is so.
Starting point is 00:55:05 The bread is so thick. Where is it? cooking in one of his European homes What kind of cheese? Oh my God, two cheeses. I don't know, why is he acting like he's in such a rush? He does that him all the time.
Starting point is 00:55:30 That's only all the time. Binti! Ew. Wait, that's crazy. Maybe they've, like, forced him to do this. This is a famously bad grilled cheese. He didn't see what cheese is on there, huh? Breath tight.
Starting point is 00:55:54 That's not melting. No, no, he's gonna, he's gonna. Anything will melt if you turn up the heat high enough. There's no way. Oh, my God, the cast iron. What the fuck? Okay. Good cow.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Damn, I want one of those. This is in Tasmania. Where the hell's that? They said it in the beginning. Yeah, I don't know where that is. That can help. That is great. Look at how crazy.
Starting point is 00:56:32 This made me think less than a little, not going to lie. I mean, shit, I do get that. People also shit on his burger, too. That's not, the bread's going to burn before the cheese melts, I fear. 100%. You just put the thing on the ground? That's crazy he put the spatula on the ground. Yeah, you're right, by the way.
Starting point is 00:56:55 The bread burned before the cheese. That thing is greasy. So what kind of cheese is that? I'm still not over that. It looks like cheese with raisins in it. It looks like a common bear? I don't know. That's like weird.
Starting point is 00:57:10 I mean, you know, every chef has a bad day. Every chef does have a badger. No. That's not melted at all. If ever happens, you can just like put a lid on it really quickly. Yeah. Yeah. It's like melt.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Pepper berry. Pepper berry cheese with kimchi. Pepper berry cheese. Wait, I think pepperberry cheese sounds good. I'm not kimchi though. It didn't even melt. It didn't melt at all. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:57:49 I mean, he could watch this back. Well, I think that's the thing with him. He makes so much content. I assume as out of his hands, he's like, fuck it. Yeah, it's like, whatever, it's done. It's not even cut in half properly. Look, it's not even even on the half. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Oh, no. No. That's when he's panicking. He's like, um... Oh, my goodness me. Oh, my goodness me. I'm just going to make it sound flattering instead of. Oh, he peaked.
Starting point is 00:58:16 He knows. Burns his head. Fuck. He must have been in a rush. Oh, my God, it's falling apart because it's not melted at all. He's dead. Definitely allowed. Did anyone ever figure out why he did this?
Starting point is 00:58:40 I'm sure the Redditors have some speculation. It's on his channel, right? Yeah, yeah. He posted this. That is so funny. He lost me with kimchi. Is that how I imagine? My dream.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Jesus melted. You keep using that word. I don't think you know what it means. My dream show, like cooking show to come to America. And there's only one woman who could pull it off. Actually, there's a crew that could pull it off. is Great British Bake Off Has never been done correctly in America
Starting point is 00:59:11 because they choose the wrong judges They'll do some stupid hodong, stupid bullshit That they're like, America Bake Off And it's like they do it in a barn, dumb as hell There are two people that could team up And make this happen, and I genuinely believe this with my whole heart. It has to be Martha and Ina. That'd be iconic.
Starting point is 00:59:27 Okay, I have an idea for a cooking show. Okay. Ready? Check this out. It's Hunger Games, but you basically put people in like a controlled like biome and you give them nothing
Starting point is 00:59:42 and they have a week to make the best food item they can make so they can like there's like trows out in the pasture there's like wild fish in the river and they just have to use their native tools over the course of a week to create whatever food items they can make
Starting point is 00:59:58 well that's fucking awesome I mean at the end of the week someone comes to like Alaskan trout and he makes like a mango chutney, but he had to like climb and find the mangoes and stuff. I feel like it needs to be shorter than a week. No, because they have to make all the tools. Do they have to slaughter the animals?
Starting point is 01:00:14 Yeah, if you need to make butter, you got to churn that shit. Wait, how do you fucking make, do you have to make an oven? Yes. That's insane. Will. Will, what you're describing is rust. Yes, my craft food, Minecraft food. Would they slaughter the animals?
Starting point is 01:00:28 Yes. That'd be bad TV. That'd be crazy. That'd be amazing. That's my least. Can you imagine some fresh, because he's approaching a small cow with a rock being like, I'm going to make me? Clank. No, you're thinking of like, what's that show, like, alone and afraid or whatever?
Starting point is 01:00:50 Naked and afraid. No, no, the one that's not alone. Why are they? It's called Alone. Yeah, alone. Like, you wanted to be, like, alone. No, they would have, like, a home base where they could, like, sleep. Like, there would be, like, a cabin, but then you have to go out and brave the wild.
Starting point is 01:01:02 You need to. And they're not a lot. to fight each other. That shit would go crazy. They should be allowed to fight each other. I'm with you, Will, because what we've gotten away from with reality TV is like the sick shit.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Yes. Because like that's what reality TV is about. Over the top. Over the top. Like, sick shit. I think fuck this woke shit. I think it's not. It's not, reality TV's not woke. It's just lazy. Can you imagine like a French butcher versus like a guy from Appalachia who's like,
Starting point is 01:01:31 I usually eat a lot of raccoons. I'm thinking about making a raccoon, and he just fucking cracks him. Oh, my God. He's a crocodile, too. The thing is, the thing is reality is, reality is now way more focus on personality. And the personality disorders and not just personality. Rather than the form itself being punishing and brutal and ruthless. You're talking about, like, the traditional Japanese shit.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Yes. Like, that's what you're referencing, like, Japanese game show shit, which is like... The purest of the game show is everybody. Not ethical at all. And I don't think you'd be able to get away with it legally. Well, I actually did 24-hour tag. I know, but that was you signing off for it. Yes, they tortured me.
Starting point is 01:02:13 I got out of that. Yeah, you wouldn't have. Honestly, when we got done, we were like, we're so glad Austin didn't do this. Really? That's what everybody said. We got the shit kicked out of us, Austin. Really?
Starting point is 01:02:23 I had bruises all over. I remember saying you're like, you're like, Austin, this is my favor. I said, yeah. Yes. And thank you, Jesus. You schedule the stream or it's right at the same time. I don't think you.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Jesus. No, thank you for doing that. Yeah, of course. I was like, oh, I got this. I'm not even, I wasn't nominated or anything. I was just like, I got to be there for cutie. Yeah, they had to be there for me. You understand. Yeah, you got it.
Starting point is 01:02:45 I wonder the show could not have done on. No, of course not. That 24-hour tag, though, is one of the best things we've ever made. That shit was incredible. I watched that bag. It's so fucking funny. I've never watched it. Really?
Starting point is 01:02:55 Yeah, I should. It's so funny. Well, it's 24 hours. It's like, how am I supposed to? Oh, we were locked into an auditorium for 24 hours. And it's based on a Japanese game show where they would have these like demons shoot out of the floor.
Starting point is 01:03:09 And if they tag you at any point over the 24 hours, you get tortured. And so we like, dude, 16 hours in, we're like... What kind of torture did they do? Oh, man. There was one where like they pulled you up above a mattress covered with flour and like dropped you on it.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Like they would beat you with like a bat. Oh my God. Yeah, you can tune in here. So like those are the demons. that would chase you around and they just had all these tortures and it ran for fucking if you go towards like the tail end like we are it we're fully insane at this point like we it was so awesome but like right after this we oh god look at you yeah bro they would give us like like chores
Starting point is 01:04:07 to do so we could get like food or like it was so good. God, you were just delirious. Oh yeah. We were insane. If you can find any of the tortures, they were fucking wild. Go towards the very beginning. They're dumb.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Oh my God. And a Japanese game show was amazing. Wait, isn't that like Isn't that dangerous? Oh no, it's painting hose, right? That's what people, robbers use. Have you seen the ones where they do this with a condom?
Starting point is 01:04:44 No. They're like trying to put a condom over their own head and it's exactly like this. God. Oh, man. This is the pedicle of entertainment right there. So stupid. Well, we've got more entertainment for you guys over on the Patreon. We're going to head there now.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Big thank you to Jamie, I Gumdrop. You can find her on all platforms. I Gumdrop, Twitch, Instagram, free. freaking YouTube, right? Yeah. And also Master Chef Season 16. 16 represented Malaysia.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Thank you, Jamie, for coming on. We're going to head to the patreon.com slash Fierand. See you guys. We just pallet cleanse real quick. Have you guys seen the chef scene? Ooh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:31 Oh, wow. Look at that. Oh, I love the scene. This is the opposite of the Gordon Ramsey experience. Oh, a nice mix. That's nice. It is.
Starting point is 01:05:47 It is a balance to get the exact amount of crips and also melty. Damn, that's art. Wow. Who is it that fucking hates this movie? I love this movie. I love this movie. Ooh. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:06:14 That baby pun. That's right. We're here. We are here and we're queer. At least I am. Everybody else is. is a queer too. Everybody can be a queer.
Starting point is 01:06:31 That's right. I like that. Everybody can be a queer. Everybody has the capacity to be a queer. That's right. Being gay is a choice. I'm just kidding. You hear that? Master Chef Season 6th. Can we pull up a compilation of Gordon Ramsey saying, Good Girl? There's got to be one. There's definitely one.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Oh, interesting. I wonder if you're in it yet. No, I didn't make it on the show. What? What? Why not? It didn't move it on the show. It's because you're of reaction. You know, like, this is too much.
Starting point is 01:07:03 It's a family show, chill. Unfortunately, I immediately did not. He got out face. Yeah.
