So Scott decided to break the awkwardness by asking the band for requests. Scott is afraid that's why he isn't getting a callback! First day follow-up. Entertainment is so awkward right now. Yeah.

Due to COVID and social distancing, people keep asking me when I'm going to go back to doing stand-up, like when I'm going to have shows again. And I'm just waiting because it seems weird to have 12 people scattered throughout a room. Yeah. Shouting jokes at people who have to sit all the way in the back or six feet apart from each other. Yeah, and then how is that profitable for comedy places? Right. At least if you get heckled, you'll know who it is.

That's true. You know exactly. Yeah. Well, Scott is on the phone and he knows how awkward live entertainment can be right now because apparently he had an awkward experience at a show that he went to with a girl. What kind of show? Well, I don't know. Maybe that's the awkward part.

I have no idea. We'll find out, though. Hey, Scott, what's up, man? How are you? Hey, great. How are you guys today? Not too bad. I read your email, and before we get into your actual date, tell us a little bit about

the girl that you want to call today. What's her name? Christine? Christine, yeah. She's great. Scott, isn't that rude? I asked you the question, but I already knew the answer. So I answered it. Uh, Christine's great. Um, you know, she, we had a great time. I thought, I mean, we went, it's, it's weird dating now with all everything. So it definitely was a kind of strange place to be with all the precautions and everything. But, you know, we laughed a lot.

She's super cool, super smart. And I love her sense of humor. You said that your date was awkward because you went to a live show of some sort. Yeah, we went to see a band. And of course, to keep it safe, you know, we're spread out, masking everything. You know, you get a beer, someone comes basically in a hazmat suit. That was the awkward part of it? I thought so. I really can't think of anything else. The only thing I can even think of that might have been slightly on me was, you know, it got real quiet at some point.

It was an awkward situation. So, you know, I yelled out, hey, you take requests. I'm like, this lady wants to hear a request. Oh, my God. my gosh that guy well I you know I just thought it would break the tension I thought it would make it it would it would uh lighten things up a little bit I I don't know I think that would make it worse for me I agree I'm super introvert and shy I'm like oh my god no what are you doing yeah that would ruin the day yeah I I know I just you know, because there's like 12 people in the audience and it's so weird. And so I thought it'd be funny.

But, you know, usually right when I said it, it didn't. Didn't play well. Usually performers don't like it when you shout at them on stage unless like there's a group of people and they're cheering. But when it's just some guy in a bar where there's 12 people watching an awkward, socially distanced music show who goes, Hey, you guys take requests? I'm hilarious. Like, what did they say? It got really quiet right when I said it and then there was even more.

They just kind of looked at me for a second. They said, okay, so, and they just said, okay. So they did not take your request. Wow. No, no, they didn't look exactly thrilled about it. Yeah, it's hard to come back from that one when you're on a date. So more importantly, how did your date, Christine, look at you when you did that?

She rolled her eyes a little bit, but she laughed. I mean, but it, you know, it wasn't a laugh like she thought it was funny. Maybe it was more of a laugh like, I can't believe that guy did that. I don't. Everything else all night was so cool and so great. So I mean, I don't believe that guy did that. I don't. Everything else all night was so cool and so great. So I don't see that. I didn't see it as a big deal. And she didn't bring it up again.

And she's had a good time after that. Okay, yeah, I was going to say, if she didn't have a good time after that, then you know that that's probably where things turned. But she seemed to be okay later on? Yeah, everything was totally fine. And we had a couple more drinks. We listened to more of the band. And when we left that night, she gave me a kiss on the cheek and a hug.

So she had a great time. Wow. Kiss on the cheek and a hug. Moving pretty fast. Yeah. I mean, I can't imagine that would ruin it for her. I don't know. For me, that would ruin it.

Speak for yourself. All right. And when's the last time you talked to her? That night. So you tried to reach out and nothing since then? I did. I shot her a text. I said, hey, that was a lot of fun.

You know, thank you. And I didn't hear from her. And then, yeah, I called her a week later and said, hey, I hope you're doing well. Everything's good. Would love to do something again. I even made a joke like, you know, we could find some other weird socially distanced thing that feels... Well, okay.

So what else happened then? Nothing. I swear. Well, that's what they always say. And there's literally always something. I swear, nothing. I've heard these before. And no, I didn't do anything weird or anything that I'm keeping from you.

Scott wants us to call a girl named Christine. He really liked her and they went on a date to a show. I guess the band was playing at a bar or a restaurant and it was one of those awkward socially distanced shows that goes on right now.

So Scott said it was fun, but also kind of awkward. And then at one point he thinks he might have ruined the date when he yelled out to the band asking them something. I don't know if they take requests. What band takes requests? And he got a very annoyed look from the band and also an embarrassed look from his date. And that's the only thing that he can think of that might have gone wrong.

So we're taking bets on what you're not telling us. I've got $100 that says you have a tail. What? And it weirded her out. Well. Yeah. You know what? No.

I bet $100 that this was an outside gig and that she died because of hypothermia. She died? Yeah. That's why she's not calling him back. Alex has $100 on debt. Be permanent. Sorry about that. I'm going to stick my $100 in I think you brought your own guitar and tried to play along with the band.

That would be weird. Try to serenade her. Any of that stuff happen? No. I do not have a tail. I do not have a guitar and I do not have a guitar. And it was indoors in a heated room. Oh, right. Well, it's got to be something else then.

If you say so. All right. So anyway, Scott says that he can't think of anything that went wrong other than it just being awkward. But she hasn't talked to him since the date. So we're going to call her and see if we can figure it out. All right, Scott, you ready? Yes. Okay, here we go.

I know. Yeah, I mean. I know you probably weren't expecting to be called asking why you're not calling Scott back from anybody but Scott. Not at all. Not at all. It would do him a favor because he really wants to know and he liked you a lot so he's just wondering

if he did something wrong. Did he do something wrong? It wasn't something that he did wrong per se. I just... How do I say this? He's just gross. He's gross?

Life His home life He just doesn't clean up? I would imagine so Okay, so you're guessing? You're assuming that his house is dirty? Okay, so what happened? So he started showing me pictures of his ferrets named Chocolate and Moose.

And it just really grossed me out. Wait. Beyond. Just because he has ferrets. Yeah. Why did it gross you out? Because ferrets are disgusting. They're rodents.

And he lets them run free in his apartment. Like, they just run free. Oh, yeah. No. And I'm like, so, like, where do they go to the bathroom? Like, there's got to be, like, disgusting things everywhere. What's wrong with ferrets? Ferrets, they get into everything.

I didn't say anything is wrong with ferrets. I'm just saying they're not running free in my house. No, he lets them run free. They have little claws. He lets them climb on him. They're kind of like little crudely little thingies. No, I think they're dope. I would definitely have a ferret if I could.

Which I could because I'm an adult. You get a ferret and I'll get a parrot. A talking one. I mean, very different. So the fact that he has ferrets, is that the only reason? Yeah. I mean, like if someone like him has ferrets, like I can't imagine that he would be very clean because they're just not clean animals. Do you have any animals?

No. But if I did, I definitely wouldn't have ferrets because they're a disgusting animal. All right. Well, thank you for being honest with us. You know who might disagree with you on that? Who? Scott. And he's actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Oh, God. Hi, Scott. Yeah, hi, Christine. I'm here, and I cannot believe you. Believe me? What do you mean? What is there to believe? You're one of the people who stereotypes ferret owners. How dare you make that assumption? Shame on you. I mean, how dare you not post about it on your dating profile?

Because I wouldn't have gone out with you personally, then we would have you know not wasted our each other's time uh chocolate and mousse are kind of like my kids and uh this is pretty offensive ferret dad he's a fair dad you are a fair dad I mean you made that really clear on the date and that's why I didn't want to go out with you again like you know like now you know yeah I I am a proud ferret, Dad. And I've had way better conversations with chocolate and mousse than with you on our date, Christine. Wow. Well, then why don't you date them? And I, you know what, so glad to know that you wanted to ask me out on a second date, even though you didn't enjoy it the first time.

So, you know, good luck to you, sir. I really did enjoy it until I found out you were f***ing evil. Yikes. Evil? Wow. So I'm boring

and or evil. Wow. But only because I don't like ferrets. Cool. I mean, I really don't care. Can we be done with this now? Well, I do.

I want to ask you one question before you go just because I kind of need to. Christine, would you like to go on a second date with Scott again? We'll pay for it. No, you don't. Hard pass. Yeah.

I just, I am just so upset right now. I'm sorry, man. No date. And, you know, I'm sorry you had to hear bad things being said about your ferrets, but at least you can go hang out with them and enjoy the rest of your day. There's probably a lot of other girls that will love your ferrets. Yeah, there's a lot of people that like ferrets. Just gotta find the right one.
