Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.

First date of follow-up, powered by the advocates injury attorneys, online at
Advocateslaw.com.
Braden is on the phone today for a first day.
follow up and he's getting ghosted by
Lizzie so in a few minutes we'll call her
and see if she tells us why she's ghosting him
and maybe get him a second date but first
Braden how long has it been since you heard from Lizzie
hey so
I feel like it's been
five days
okay how many times have you reached out in five
days? A couple times
and nothing
nothing no response
no no like you know dots
like you know the text like no nothing like that
wow okay
so why do you think you want to get a hold of her so bad was the date great
I mean yeah I thought so we went to this rooftop wine bar downtown
with a great view you know see the whole city skyline lit up in the light breeze
she told me she was a music teacher and I knew she loves Taylor Swift so I thought
I'd be smooth and got a little Taylor lyric in there like I said I don't know about you
but I was feeling 22.
She liked that.
She laughed, like, smiles, but I thought I nailed it.
Yeah.
Yeah, after that, like, you just, it just clicked.
I felt like it clicked.
We were extra affectionate, holding hands,
like, touches on the back,
partially legs under the table.
It was, you know, it was super sensual,
but still innocent, you know,
like in its own way.
She told me physical touches one of her mulling.
She's still he leaned in on that.
It felt electric.
okay was she leaning into the physical touch as well or she was just receiving
it felt like she was leaning in too like she made me feel out of ease like I've been on dates
I feel like I'm the one performing but with whizzy it was like we were in our own bubble
she's beautiful I got at a moment where I was like okay you know this is someone I can see myself with
oh wow how does the date end between the two of you um
there's a moment when we were sitting close holding hands and I went to reach for
her hand on the table, but I, let's say, I miscalculated, and I grabbed between her legs.
Oh, okay.
That could be an issue.
I know.
I know.
I'm laughing.
It's kind of funny, but alarming as well.
I felt awful.
She's joking.
She was like, what are you doing?
And I was like, I immediately let go.
And I was like, I'm sorry, like 10 times.
And he was an accident.
And I told her it was an accident.
It's not as recovered, but maybe she thinks I was trying to get fresh, like, way too soon.
I swear it was just bad.
Yeah, that's a bad accident there.
I felt awful.
It was not so great ending to a great date.
So it ended with the grab?
Yeah.
That's probably the reason she's ghosting you if it ended after that, I don't think.
What did she say?
She was like, it's fine, fine.
And then, I don't know.
and then it just kind of ended.
Oh, no, Brayden.
Yeah, you know, honestly, like, one of the texts like I sent her,
I dropped like a mother too, which is my reference.
I was like, um, uh, it's me, hi, I'm the problem.
It's me, you know, with that song.
I thought I was being funny with that, but.
And nothing.
Nothing.
Not even a ha-ha.
Man.
Usually Taylor Swift can fix everything.
Well, we'll see if we can figure it out for you.
We'll play a song and come back and then call her and see if she'll tell us why
she's ghosting you
and maybe get you
a second date, okay?
All right, we'll get your first date
follow up next.
December 29th,

LaGuardia Airport.
The holiday rush,
parents hauling luggage,
kids gripping their new Christmas toys.
Then, at 6.33 p.m.,
everything changed.
There's been a bombing
at the TWA
terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal glass.
The injured were being loaded into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism.
Law and order, criminal justice system is back. In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat
that hides in plain sight. That's harder to predict and even harder to.
to stop. Listen to the new season of Law and Order Criminal Justice System on the IHeart

Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK.

Hey, everybody, I'm Angela Rye,
co-host of Native Lambot
with Tiffany Cross and Andrew Gillum.
Through the lens of politics
and culture, we talk with you
every week to make sense of this
madness. I've been telling, Angela,
I don't even know how to fight back
right now, so what I'm focused on
is just looking out for ourselves.
That's the truth. We're having the same
debates that American households
are having all over the country.
Rest is certainly a form of self-care.
But if you are watching your full neighbors starve, not be able to pay bills, your rest is selfish.
But the thing is, Angela, this is not the mess we created.
So I do understand black folks feeling like, you know what, y'all got it.
We're like family, but we disagree all the time.
And we love when our listeners chime in.
What would happen if we built our own little Wakandan communities in the rural South?
Tiffany, do not run to know rural South.
I don't know what's your own.
What our audience is asking is, okay, fine.
You want me to stop resting.
What specifically are you asking me to do?
Stay informed and take action.

Welcome home, y'all.
Right in the middle of your first date, follow up.
And if you're just joining us, Braden is on the phone.
And Braden is getting ghosted by Lizzie.
So we're going to call her.
a second and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date
but first brayden why don't you break down your situation and what happened on your date again
real quick well we we like i said we went to this rooftop wine bar downtown um we were getting
along really well um we were both you know extra like i said extra affectionate with each other
physical touch it was like a love language but then i i accidentally like reached for an area
I wasn't supposed to, and she didn't like that, and I was, like, really sorry.
I did not need to do that at all.
And after that, you know, just the passion kind of fizzled towards the end.
But I just had a great time before then.
You just imagine.
Yeah, you don't want that to be the reason everything before that goes away.
Yeah.
All right.
Are you ready for us to call her?
Yeah, I'm ready.
All right, here we go.
Hello.
Hey, may I speak to Lizzie, please.
Hey, this is Lizzie.
Hi, Lizzie.
How are you?
This is a radio show, and it's called The Jubal Show.
Hi, Lizzie.
I'm Nina.
Hi, I'm Victoria.
And my name's Jubal.
How are you?
Oh, wow.
Okay.
This is real?
Yes.
Yeah.
Oh, cool.
Yeah.
Yeah, I've heard these before.
Hi.
Oh, sweet.
Hey, so what's up?
How are you doing?
You're doing good?
Anything cool?
Yeah.
So I imagine you're calling because I'm ghosting Braden.
Yes.
And I imagine Braden is on the phone and is going to hear what I have to say.
Yep, he sure is.
You really know what's going on.
Okay, cool.
Can we hold off on letting him join?
I just kind of want to give you my...
Sure.
I want to see what happens.
This is the easiest first day follow him ever.
Yeah, absolutely.
Lizzie, why are you ghosting him?
So we had a very sweet day.
It was fun.
It was like really couldn't have been more perfect up until a few kind of red flags popped up.
He just kept saying that he was looking for the Taylor to his Travis, which seems cute at first.
But it really became the entire conversation, the entire day it took over.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelly.
see references or
you guys are talking about them getting engaged the whole
time? No, it was the references.
Like, he knew so much about Travis, about
the Super Bowl championship, about
what the leader he is, and then
he was basically saying
that since I'm a music teacher,
it's like I'm halfway there to being his
tailor. Like,
oh, okay.
Well, that's kind of cute.
Is he athletic, like, Travis?
I mean, he would say it.
very good looking guy but it was just way too much and I just don't want to be a part of
some sort of made up plan in his mind of some power couples yeah like even when I walked in
he made a reference to a song like oh I knew you were a trouble when you walked in and even like
you know we're on the rooftop he thought it was like a special moment to say something like I'm
feeling 22 um yeah so he's just non-stop Taylor Swift references
Well, he said you liked Taylor Swift.
Do you like Taylor Swift?
Well, yeah.
I mean, I think who doesn't like Taylor Swift?
I mean, it's exciting to think about, like, a partner that might want to, like, listen to music with me and things like that.
But this can't be all that we talk about.
And it was just too much.
All right.
Well, thank you for telling us.
So, you're going to bring him on now, huh?
Yeah.
I am.
Braden's on the phone and wants to talk to you.
Or should we call him, Travis?
Yeah.
I would have you.
okay louis you hear me out all right this was all meant to be romantic like we could have
been with a great team like NFL star and granny winner energy like you got to dream big okay
braden i teach middle school choir i'm not like a superstar you know yeah well you know what
every superstar starts in middle school choir taylor probably sang hot cross buns once too
Okay. That's not helping your case, Brayden. I think you have this idea in your mind.
Look, I mean, Lizzie, I don't want any, you know, bad blood between us. I just feel like, I'm just trying to, like, make this, I felt like we had something real special here.
And I, I feel like, you know, with your similarity with Taylor and my similarities to Travis, I was just, that's just kind of how I was imagining it.
Brian, I don't really know how to say this nicely, but I think it's great that you are so into Taylor and you're so into Travis, and we have that in common, but the level of, the level of love you have for them, like, I'm not there.
This is not where I'm at.
And, and Braden, what similarities do you have to Travis exactly that I miss?
Like, with all due respect, like, well, the thing is, okay, maybe aside from the fact that I played a little football when I was a kid,
I think I'm in a pretty good shape, but also, have you seen how much Travis loves Taylor?
Like, he adores her, and I feel like I could be like that, too.
I can snatch that energy.
When I love, I love heart.
Whoa.
Wow.
Wow.
Okay.
Brian, I don't really know how to move on from this conversation.
It's just way over my head at this point.
Well, the thing is, like, I don't think you should run for love.
Like, I really believe in it.
I really believe in staying there.
I don't think I'm just a big believer of that, you know, like Travis Kelsey.
Yeah, I mean, I love to, but this is just not, I don't know a nice way to put this, but,
Brigham, this is weird.
This is very, very weird.
And somebody else might match you a weird, but I'm not, I'm not matching you weird.
Okay.
I mean, that's what I'm sorry.
Braden, are you, are you okay?
I'll be okay.
Well, let's make sure on something here.
Lizzie, would you like to go on another date with Braden?
We'll pay for it.
No, no, thank you for offering to cover the next date.
Brian, listen, I'm really sorry, and I'm sure there's somebody out there that would be a really good match for you.
Okay, well, I'm sure.
I'll find my Taylor someday.
Maybe when I'm in a luxury suite with my future Taylor at the next tour,
the next Aeros tour, just know that it'll be you I'm waving at at the Jumbotron.
And now I'm just like, oh, fuck, love.
Oh, God.
