And quite frankly, I question how many other women

Let's go. You Feeling This Too is a horror anthology podcast. It brings different creators to tell 10
Starting point is 00:01:57 vile, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, grotesque, oh my God, horrific stories on what scares them the most. You're feeling this too. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. First date follow up powered by the advocates injury attorneys online at advocateslaw.com. Bryce is on the phone today for a first date follow up and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Tessa. So in a few minutes we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date.
Starting point is 00:02:36 But first, Bryce, how long has it been since you heard from Tessa? Hey, uh, yeah, it's been about nine days, I guess. Okay. All right. That's the definite ghosting. Yeah. Not that I'm counting or anything, but I don't sound callous about that. Even if you are counting, I get it.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I would feel the same way. Did you try to reach out to her? Yeah, I've tried a couple of times. I called her like, you know, a couple of days after our date and didn't hear back. I texted her a couple of times since then, just casual kind of stuff, trying to reach out. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Tell us about the date. Yeah, so I mean, we went to this really quirky little diner pop-up that only serves pickle themed dishes. What? Interesting. Yeah. Everything had pickles in it and like it had all different kinds of things. Like they pickled lots of different stuff too.
Starting point is 00:03:32 That's cool. Even the dessert. Yeah. It was super fun. Even the dessert had like elements of pickle in it. Dope. I love that sweet and salty. That's perfect.
Starting point is 00:03:43 And I thought, and she, you know, I thought I figured she would be into it because in her profile it said, you know, adventurous with food. And I thought like, let's just, you know, why not go full send on this one? So yeah, Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah, it went really well. I think, you know, we had a lot of fun too. I mean, like we spent just hours laughing. She's hilarious. She's like one of these girls who's
Starting point is 00:04:07 sarcastic, but in that way, if you're not sure if she's roasting you or flirting or a little bit of both, maybe. And it just works. You know what I mean? Like, yeah. You're the guy that's like, slap me. Not quite. You know what I mean? But like you had a little bit of a fun edge to her and I like that. I need that, you know, it's good for me. And she's just, she's gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I mean, like, she made eating a deep-fried pickle look like a runway moment. If you know what I mean? Like, yeah, Paris and Milan with pickles. It was amazing. You know, like we did like the, we did the whole milkshake two straws You know like the old-school rom-com by it was adorable until it wasn't so yeah Oh until it wasn't so what happened? So personally we had like this super intense debate about whether pickles should be considered a personality
Starting point is 00:05:00 trait and somehow it got like really deep and like I you know, I I think I felt like She was just somebody who got my weirdness Which she called me literally called me refreshingly weird and that to me is like the best compliment anyone's ever given me Yeah, which yeah, but there was one moment and I might have been trying to impress her a little too much. I did, you know, like the pickle toss trick where you flick a pickle slice into your mouth. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Like you kind of flick it like a coin, like it flips into your mouth. It's I don't know. Okay. I'm impressed with that. Cool, cool, cool. Yeah, I think she would have been through if it worked. I don't know. Okay. I'm impressed with that. Yeah, I think she would have been too if it worked. And that did not go.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah, that did not go great. Okay. So like I tried the thing and the pickle hit this like went behind me over my shoulder, hit this older lady right in the eye and... Oh. Yeah, it was not great. I apologize like a million times. Tessa laughed really hard. Like she thought it was hysterical. She was laughing, but I'm worried like maybe she thought
Starting point is 00:06:15 I was a little immature or reckless or I don't know. I mean, it's definitely an embarrassing moment. Yeah. I mean, yeah, but she laughed, so that's kind of a good sign. Right. It was, again, though, I don't know if she's laughing at me or with me. Yeah. One of those walks the line kind of people. How did everything end with her? I mean I thought it went ended well I thought we were gonna hang
Starting point is 00:06:37 out after she seemed like it was good and then just kind of haven't heard from herself. Okay all right well we'll see if we can figure it out for you we'll play a song come back and call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you another date, okay? All right, sounds good. All right, we'll get your first date follow up next. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network
Starting point is 00:06:57 beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro all combined. Conservative podcasts can have a major political impact, but the Mycelis brothers, three siblings, with a serious media strategy, are building an alternative to that. On the latest episode of Next Question with Katie Couric, I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network
Starting point is 00:07:19 to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse from the ground up, why audience interaction is the key to political influence, and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale, one download at a time. We should be focusing on the issues that actually occupy a lot of the mental space in Americans' minds, but are filled with conspiracies, and we should fill it with the truth and solutions. Listen to Next Question with me, Katie Couric, on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Andrea Gunning, host of the podcast Betrayal.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Police Lieutenant Joel Kern used his badge to fool everyone. Most of all, his wife, Caroline. He texted, I've ruined our lives. You're going to want to divorce me. Caroline's husband was living another life behind the scenes. He betrayed his oath to his family and to his community. She said you left bruises, pulled her hair,
Starting point is 00:08:21 that type of thing. No. How far would Joel go to cover up what he'd done? You're unable to keep track of all your lies, and quite frankly, I question how many other women may bring forward allegations in the future. This season of Betrayal investigates one officer's decades of deception.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Lies that left those closest to him questioning everything they thought they knew. Listen to Betrayal on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yo, K-pop fans. It's your boy, BOMHAN, and I'm bringing you something epic. Introducing the K Factor, the podcast that takes you straight into the heart of K-pop. We're talking music reviews, exclusive interviews, and deep dives into the industry like never before. From producers and choreographers to idols and trainees, we're bringing you the real
Starting point is 00:09:14 stories behind the music that you love. And yeah, we're keeping it 100, discussing everything from comebacks and concepts to the mental health side of the business. Because K-pop isn't just a genre. It's a whole world and we're exploring every corner of it. And here's the best part. Fans get to call in, drop opinions, and even join us live at events. You never know where we might pop up next. So listen to the K-Factor on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This isn't just a podcast, it's a movement.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Are you ready? Let's go. Hi, I'm Radhida Vlukya and I am the host of a really good cry podcast. And I had the opportunity to talk to Davy Brown. Davy Brown is one of the most sought-after wellness educators and through her signature blend of advanced meditation, breath work, metaphysical physiology, spiritual psychology and holistic trauma-informed facilitation, Davy has touched the lives of countless students including renowned artists, athletes and executives of global corporations. But anything can be used
Starting point is 00:10:24 as a tool of avoidance. With women, any kind of thing where there might be this underlying edge of self-sacrifice as martyrdom, if you're never filling, you're telling yourself a story and you're actually avoiding what you should be doing. Your life at the end of it is still going to be a sum of your experiences and so you got to get in. You got to get your hands dirty. Listen to A Really Good Cry on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. First date follow-up powered by the advocates injury attorneys online at advocateslaw.com. If you're just joining us for today's first date follow up, Bryce is on the phone and Bryce is a pickle flipper.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Well, he's an attempted pickle flipper. But he's getting ghosted by a girl named Tessa and we're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first, Bryce, why don't you recap your date real quick for us? Yeah, so we went to a pickle themed pop up for dinner and I thought it was really great.
Starting point is 00:11:29 We seemed to be having a good time until I tried to pickle flip, tried to flip a pickle into my mouth and I missed and I hit an old lady in the face. Oh man. That's rough. And I don't think that was good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:44 So yeah, maybe that might be why. All right. We'll see if hitting an old lady in the face with your pickle is the reason that you're getting gusted. I couldn't help it. I couldn't help it. But we'll see if that is the reason. Are you ready for us to call her?
Starting point is 00:11:56 Yeah, I guess so. All right. Here we go. Ha ha ha. Hello? Hello? Hi, may I speak to Tessa please? This is she. Hey Tessa, how are you? This is a radio show, it's called The Jubal Show.

So you ghosting somebody? Oh My god
Starting point is 00:12:58 The bright did Bryce call It's a brace we talked to him he told us a little bit about your date. He said he really liked you. He thought you were awesome. But he's wondering why you're ghosting him. Would you have a minute to tell us that? Yeah, yeah, sure. It's because he's a toe shoe guy.
Starting point is 00:13:17 A toe shoe? You know those shoes, the shoes were the individual toe pockets. Oh. He wore them on the plate. Toe. Sh Oh. He wore them on the grade. Toe. Shoes. He wore them on, yes, toe shoe guy.
Starting point is 00:13:30 He wears toe shoes. On a date, on a date. Not ironically, it wasn't ironic, he called them his tickle hunting shoes. I can't, I just can't, I can't you guys. Hold on a minute now, wait a minute, listen, those are high performance minimalist shoes. Okay? Like they promote natural foot posture.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Oh yeah Tessa, that's Bryce. He's on the phone listening. Hi. Hi. So I don't, I don't, those are good shoes. They promote good foot posture. Can you say that again? They promote natural foot. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They promote looking like a swamp goblin. I mean, Bryce, you gotta be honest. They're kind of ugly. You said you like unique guys. Uh, I don't. Yeah. Yeah. He said I like unique guys. I didn't say I like guys who like live in a forest barefoot. I thought you laughed about the pickle toss. I thought I didn't say I like guys who like live in a forest barefoot.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I thought you laughed about the pickle toss. I thought I didn't. What is my footwear having to do with anything? I laughed at it before I saw your shoes and that your toes were like waving at me and just. Did you use your toes to flick the pickle? Wow. So this isn't about the pickle incident at all, right? You ghosted me over my footwear. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Yes. Is that, huh? Yes. Bryce, it was a lot of tell. It was an aggressive amount of tell. I'll pretend like it wasn't. I didn't even think you were looking at my feet. Honestly, I'm surprised you noticed.
Starting point is 00:14:59 I wasn't. I told you. At the end, they just like, they reared their five ugly heads. Just, they were like, I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to. Honestly, I'm surprised you noticed. I wasn't. I told you at the end, they just like, they reared their five ugly heads just staring at me. My toes are nice looking just for the record. My feet are not ugly. That's good. I mean, I didn't see your feet. It was what the feet were
Starting point is 00:15:22 in, but you, I mean, I was going to say, obviously you get it, but I'm sure that you do. Wait, but do people wear these out in public? I thought people just like wear them in the water and stuff. I've seen people sport them in public before. Every once in a while I've seen, I've seen, but most of the time I thought it was just, you know, for running or. Yeah, of course people wear them in public. They're actually better for you than regular shoes. Like your foot, your foot health
Starting point is 00:15:45 is actually like a huge part of your overall health. And these shoes are super beneficial. Like they're really good for you. You know, they say that stomach is the second brain. Well, but I believe your feet are like your third brain or third and fourth brain. You have two. Okay, you gotta take care of the feet. I don't think your, yeah. Your feeder should not be making your dating decisions then. I don't, how is it working for you? Let me ask you something Tessa. You've dated other guys before, right? How nice were their feet?
Starting point is 00:16:18 Yeah. I don't know. I try not to see someone's feet on the first date as a rule. Okay, not on a first date as a rule. Okay. Not on a first date, but answer the question. I know that most guys don't take care of their feet properly. It's true. It's true. It's a good question. I mean, look, I might ask person statistics and facts and figures.
Starting point is 00:16:45 I'm not going to, you're not wrong. You're not, you don't need it. Well, think about this. All right. You liked me. You thought I was a nice guy and I also take really good care of my feet. They're manicured. They're in good health. You never have to worry about getting athletes from me. So I feel like, you know, this is my third and fourth friend. I feel like I have a step up on the competition. I feel like selling it. I mean, clean feet are a thing.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Tessa, would you like to go on another day with Bryce? I would be open if he doesn't tell me any more of his tones, maybe, maybe. Well, there's no athletes, but it's really getting you, huh? And it's a you know, most guys aren't the best, so I guess now that I'm thinking about it, it's kind of a plot. Do you have any other juice where I don't want to see your toes? Like anything advanced converse. I mean, I'll take literally anything, anything else. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I have other footwear and I promise I won't wear the toe shoes on a date with you again. So is that a yes, Tessa? You know what? Yeah, I guess so. I'll give it another shot. But one toe out of line and I'm out of there. All right, great.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Thank you. I promise you will not regret it. I will not show you my toes until the proper time. Jubal's first date follow-up.
