Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. First date follow-up. Powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys. Online at Advocateslaw.com. Normally we do a first date follow-up here, but we have a listener named John on the phone who wants to do something a little bit different today.
Starting point is 00:00:17 John, what's up? How are you? Yeah, so you guys used to do this thing called Call of Booty? No, no. You've been listening for a long time because we haven't done that in a long time, John. I'm new here. I'm intrigued now. Producer Freed doesn't even know what it is. Call of Booty is not a video game,
Starting point is 00:00:35 but it was the thing we used to do on the show where you had to call your significant other to see if they would leave work to hook up with you. Get it, Call of Booty. Oh, wow. Except, don't worry, it's family-friendly because you're not allowed to be dirty at all. You can't even make a blunt reference to what you want to do.
Starting point is 00:00:53 We give you a topic to use, and you have to call them at work, and let's say we gave you Disney movies. and you'd have to call up your significant other work and be like, hey, baby, Mickey Mouse is really, like, lonely right now. Would you like to spend time with Mickey Mouse? It's funny.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Save Mickey. Yeah, because, like, usually they have no idea what the person's talking about. You used to listen to that, John? Yeah, yeah. Please don't give me Disney. You want to come over and watch Pinocchio's nose? Whoa.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Yeah, see things like that, right? Oh, my God. So you want to do that, John? I don't know if my wife will go for it, but I want to try it. Okay. So is the goal to get the wife to understand that he's hinting at that without saying it? Yeah, and to leave. And to do it.
Starting point is 00:01:40 And to do it. And to do it, yeah. You don't win the game. Okay. On Call of Booty unless your significant other actually agrees to meet you somewhere, which they probably won't because they'll probably think you're drunk. Right, right. Right?
Starting point is 00:01:53 Because you're talking nonsense. Let's go, John. So before we do this, you have to tell us a little bit about your wife. wife. So you're about to call her and see if she'll leave her job right now to meet you for a booty call. But you can't be blunt. You can't say exactly what you want to do. We'll give you a topic that you can reference and see if she can catch on to what you're talking about. It's always very awkward. But what does your wife do? She's a receptionist and a dentist office. She's a receptionist. She's going to be busy up there. I mean, she'll be like to be people around, you know, if it's her talking.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Okay, so your wife's a receptionist at a dentist office, which means, yeah, there's going to be people at the counter while you're on the phone. Looking at her. Trying, yeah, trying to get her to leave her job at this moment to meet you for a call of booty. Yep. You were asking what she's like. I mean, that's the awkward is definitely like, you know, a treat. And especially stuff like this, you know, where she's confused or whatever. Right, okay.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Oh, I love that. Do you think there's any chance that she says yes? I mean, I probably know, but, I mean, I definitely want to, like, give it a shot. Who knows? Maybe it'll happen, you know? Maybe she'll go for it. You need have some confidence, John. You need to get your wife excited, so she will.
Starting point is 00:03:16 This is on you. Yeah. How do you love your wife? I mean, I'm going to give it a shot. We'll see. I mean, you know, I can be pretty convincing. Okay. So we'll play a song.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Come back. And then John is going to attempt to call his wife, who's currently working reception at a dental office. Oh, my gosh. And try to see if she'll leave work for a booty call. But he can't say anything blunt about what he wants to do. He can only make reference to a topic that we give him and try to see if she can decode his messages.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Will she respond to call of booty? I'm going to give you two topics to choose from, John. Okay? You can either make reference to only board games. slash video games or you can do Girl Scout cookies So it'd be like Hey hey
Starting point is 00:04:05 Do you want to come check out my controller Like right now Or hey baby Got some thin mince for you Yeah something I don't know I don't say thinments What do you want John Girl Scout cookies or board games
Starting point is 00:04:17 And video games I mean I'll say board games And video games Tabletop games sounds good today Okay All right man Good luck We'll play a song
Starting point is 00:04:26 Come back and then John you can see if you can accomplish call of booty next normally at this time it's a first day follow-up but today it's a special treat it's a call of booty this is the jubal show our listener john called up because we used to do a segment on the show called call of booty where you'd have to call your significant other and see if you could get them to leave what they were doing in that moment to meet you for a booty call but it's not dirty at all you can't say anything bluntly about what you want to do we give you a topic to reference and you have to see if you can first get them even to figure out what you're talking about and then convince them to leave their job
Starting point is 00:05:04 or what they're doing to meet you for a call of booty and John's on the phone and John is about to call his wife who works reception at a dentist's office so this is going to be very awkward there's going to be people around and he's got to see if he can convince her to leave her job right now to meet him for a booty call and he can only make reference to board games
Starting point is 00:05:24 slash video games oh that's a good one though there's so many options yeah yeah john you're ready to call her as ready as i ever be okay and i we have it where she won't be able to hear us until we want her to but you can hear us so john during this phone call if you're having problems trying to figure out what to say we um will give you lines we'll be the lifeline yeah we'll be your lifelines so if we talk obviously don't talk back to us because remember you're talking to her okay all right right so you're whisper you're the the angel's that was on my shoulder at my ear detic.
Starting point is 00:05:59 So don't respond to us otherwise. That's going to seem like you're high on something, like you're talking to voices in your head. She's already going to think, she's already going to think that you're weird right now anyway. All right, are you ready to go? No, I'm ready. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Here we go, John. I'm going to dial her phone number right now. Jane, how can I help you? Hey, babe. John? Yeah. Why are you calling me at work? Is everything okay?
Starting point is 00:06:42 Yeah, yeah, everything's okay. Just feeling a little bored. Lonely, I was wondering if you might want to come home and play a board game. Play a board game, babe. What's going on? I mean, we can play a video game, too. I just get a new joystick. Pretty big.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Enough for two. This could be a pretty fun board game. And, you know, I've got a lot of shoes from. I'll be right with you. No, I don't want to play. I'm at work right now, John. Why are you at home playing video games right now? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I'm definitely okay. I'm not playing games right now. I was hoping you could join me for maybe some shoots and ladders or Candyland. Have you been drinking, babe? Like, what's going on right now? I've not been drinking. I was just, you know, wanting to pass go, you know, without going to jail. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Unless you're into jail. Yes. that, John. Say unless you're sorry, I didn't hear that. Don't talk to us, remember? Don't talk back to us right now, John. Oh, oh, sorry, I forgot.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Who are you talking to? I'm not, no, I'm not talking to anybody. I'm just, I'm on a trivial pursuit, if you know what I mean? No, I have no idea what you mean, John. I have people stand here. I need to get back to work. We,
Starting point is 00:08:28 Yotsie. I just said Yotsie. I said, John, I'm at work. What is what, what are you on? You guys don't know me? Yes, let me change. Yes, John, we're here now. That was rough.
Starting point is 00:08:50 What's going on right now? Hi, Jane, this is the Jubal show, the radio show. Yeah, hi, I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria. I'm Free's the producer. And that's your husband, John. Yotsie. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Yotsie. What's going on? Like, who are all these people? I'm really sorry. I'll be right with you. My husband's being really weird. Hey, we know you're at work right now, Jane, and you obviously have somebody there who needs you.
Starting point is 00:09:19 But your husband wanted to call up and do something on the show called Call of Booty that we haven't done a long time. We have to see if you can get your. significant other to leave work for a booty call, but you can't say anything dirty. You got to use references that we give you, and we gave him board games to use, and I still don't think you ever knew what he was talking about. Oh, my God. John, did you really call to have a booty call to be in the middle of the day?
Starting point is 00:09:48 That's an inside joke. I'll be right with you. Chris is still there. Yeah, it doesn't sound, he did not accomplish his goal, though. Yeah, that was terrible. I thought you were drunk or high or had a health problem. There was absolutely nothing sexy about that.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Oh. Well, at least I tried. Yotsie! All right, Jane, we'll let you go because I know you got to get back to work. All right, thank you. John, that was an effort. I don't know if it was a good effort, but it was an effort, man.
Starting point is 00:10:20 We just think we got to brush up on it next time. Maybe get a little Yatsy. I don't know. Yeah, yeah. The shouty Yatsy might not have been the thing. More breathy. This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
