I had no idea about this, but Lynn is on the phone for a first date follow-up today, and she's not getting a call back from a dude named Curtis.

Okay. And her email said that she met him on a website called Short Kings. Short Kings? Short Kings.com, I guess. What is that? I don't know. Lynn? Yeah, it's ShortKingDating.com.

That's a real thing? Yeah. No, it's totally a real site. Okay. And you go there to, you know, meet shorter guys looking to date. That's awesome. I'm a short dude.

You are. And that's a tough thing. In the dating world for short guys, it's tough because a lot of women like taller guys. So you obviously like short dudes, Lynn. Alex is the only other woman I've ever met that prefers to date shorter guys. See, we know that great things can come in small packages.

Right. I've always said that. Very small packages. So you met him on Short Kings because he likes short dudes. Was he short enough for you? He was. I mean, maybe, maybe like 5'2", maybe. And I loved it.

And, you know, I asked him out and we went and we got Mexican food. And we had a great time. Like, we just hit it off on all the levels. Just, you know. Talking, going about what we want for futures and everything like that. It was a really, really amazing date. But he hasn't called me back.

How long has it been? It's been about a week and I haven't heard anything. I've sent him text messages and I haven't heard anything back from him. How many text messages or how many times have you tried to get a hold of them? Two. Only two because I didn't want to be overbearing.

Yeah. Did anything weird happen at the restaurant? Not really. I mean, we didn't kiss at the end of the date. We had a hug, but there was no kissing, which whatever. That was fine. Who's taller? You or him?

Oh, definitely me. How tall are you? I'm 5'7". Okay. Okay okay so i bet the hug was awkward well you know some guys would call it awkward some guys would call it the perfect height so you know but if he's five two and you're five seven that's a big difference but if you're that short you're used to it you're used to hugging taller women or having to get on your tippy toes to kiss somebody that's what you're used to in the dating world if you're used to it. And you figure being on a short king dating site, he would, you know, that's the whole thing is that they usually are looking for somebody taller to date.

Okay. So I was down for it. But I thought maybe afterwards the problem was, like I drove, but I asked him out. So I thought it's only, you know, it's only right. I pick him up. We, you know, went out to dinner. I paid because, again, I asked him out and I wanted to. So maybe he doesn't feel good about that. Well, hold on.

So you picked him up. You paid. So did he do anything, you know, like to initiate any of the typical masculine roles of the date? Well, I mean, not really, but I don't put a lot of, you know, thought into it. I don't think about that all the time. Like, I don't mind grabbing my own door and stuff like that. I'm okay with it. And I, but maybe he isn't, you know, sometimes you meet guys that really feel, I was going to say shorted, but that would be the wrong word. But there's a lot of short dudes that do have that little like Napoleon complex or like a short man's complex, you know? And maybe the fact that you're like opening his door, you picked him up on the date.

Maybe that made him feel, maybe he's insecure about his size. I know he's on the website where you're supposed to be insecure about, maybe he's insecure. And so that made him feel like inferior or it made him feel a certain way where, you know, I could see how that could happen with it, with a shorter dude.

So I just, I wanted to know, if you guys could call and find out, like if that's the mistake I made, you know, I would never mean to and I feel awful about it. I would think that nowadays especially, most guys would be like, that's cool. You know, it is breaking the stereotype of what it normally is.

And guess what, it saves money. Exactly, and I mean, you know, like you said, if that hurt him, then I feel awful. And that's the only reason you can think of? Honestly, it's the only reason I can think of because I mean, other than that, we hit it off. Okay. Just with the talking and having a great time and having similar goals and what have you. I can't see any other reason that he wouldn't call me. All right. Well, we'll play a song, come back and then we'll call him and see if we can figure

It's been a week week and he won't answer any of her text messages or phone calls. And the only reason that Lynn can think of is that on the date she picked him up, she opened up his door, she paid for everything and maybe some way that felt weird to him. they can email us to get you on the phone to try to ask what happened. And we got an email about you, Kurt. From who? Her name is Lynn. Okay. Yeah. I remember Lynn.

What did she say? Well, she said you guys went out on a date and you're not calling her back and you just ghosted her. Okay. So then I'm just supposed to say what's going on or? I'll tell you what she told us. She said that she met you on shortkingsdating.com And that you guys went to get Mexican food

And she thought the date was amazing And she thinks that you're not calling her back Because she picked you up She paid she opened your doors And she thought that might have been a little What's the word emasculating A little emasculating for you No I mean

I don't mind that. I mean, you know, as a short guy, people don't really treat you the same as they would a dude who was like 6'5", I guess. You kind of get used to that sort of thing. Yes. Yeah, it really was just like, she really just wasn't what her profile was.

You know, like you get there and you're like, oh, so you lied on your profile. You got catfished? No, not catfished. People just, you know, like people use old photos or they like, they write things that aren't true. Well, basically she's too short for me. I know that sounds weird because I'm short. I'm like 5'3", 5'2".

So you like really tall girls? Yeah. In my profile, I specifically say that I want a girl who's 5'8 and up. Wow. You know, yeah. Well, look, I know what I like, okay? I'm on the website for a specific reason, and I want that. I want to be looking up at a girl.

I TMI. I like to do the little spoon. I like to reveal hell. Don't ask. Wow. Okay. All right. Getting an insight into the world of Curtis yeah I mean I want to be with an Amazon you know what I mean like I want Wonder Woman and this girl so you couldn't just tell her that that's why you weren't calling her back

well she lied in her profile I mean I think she's like 5'5 5'6 and she shows up on our date she's wearing flats you know like I like a girl in heels, and I'm not going to hold that against her, because obviously she could wear heels and be much taller than me, but I thought she was like 5'5",

5'6", and I said in my profile I want 5'8", so it's like, you know what, you didn't read my profile, or you just read it and chose to ignore it, and that's just kind of, to me, I just want somebody that comes off honest right away. She said she was five, seven,

which is close to five, eight, but you're saying she's not even five, seven. I, I don't think so. She's probably one of these girls. That's like five,

six and an eight. And it's like, yeah, I'm five, seven. Lynn, how tall are you actually? I'm five,

Well, I mean, not texting me back telling me an inch is what the deal breaker is, is kind of weird, too. We went on one date. We're not, like, engaged. I don't see the big deal. You don't see the big deal of just giving somebody the respect to text them back and be like, hey, it's not going to happen. You didn't respect me by being honest on your profile.

I think I even asked you at one point how tall you were, and you said 5'7". I'm like, okay, that's basically 5'8", but I'm like, maybe 5'7 and a half, but no, you were shorter than you are. And I just think it's easier and better just break it off ahead of time, you know, versus, like, getting feelings involved,

and then it's like, yeah, but I don't really want to be with her just because physically she's not what I'm looking for. Wow, okay. So, yeah, wow. So you literally don't want to date Lynn. Did you, okay, Curtis, so you liked don't want to date Lynn. Did you? Okay, Curtis.

So you liked Lynn, though, like personality-wise. Yeah. I mean, she's no volleyball player, but yeah. So you're going to let an inch come between you and another date. I mean, look, if she had, like, you know, like if she had the, like the way she carried herself was like a tall girl but she like i said she was wearing flaps she was not trying to be this big impressive specimen and that's kind of like more what i'm attracted to yeah you know like if someone who's like tall and powerful and strong like an amazon but that's really really what i'm into right and what i'm

looking for and i'm not just you know at this point right now, I'm just not trying to. Sometimes, though, you might have a specific look you want, you know? I mean, maybe, but like, I don't know, you're attracted to what you're attracted to, right? Yeah, I guess you're right. You're attracted to taller girls. And, you know, like I said, I'm not looking for this stick thin model. I actually like girls that are like, and you know,

I don't want to say WNBA player, but I like a fit, like a really muscular, like a girl. And that's what I'm looking for. Yeah. Athletic. Exactly.

And that's what I'm looking for. And she was cute. Don't get me wrong when you know your, your cue, but you're like, you're, you're a petite five or whatever. I have to ask the question anyway. Lynn,
