You know I get down. You come from the urban areas. You understand politics more than you
giving credit for. Between Jerry out here, Mandarin all over the place, hop-out boys snatching up
family members and two wars that was supposed to be done in 24 hours. Not to mention Epstein.
We had to reach out to the homie Jamil Hill because she's going to keep it a century.
The American public is used to being entertained. We're a consumption society.
So what Trump figured out is entertain them and they'll never question you.

First date of follow-up, powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys, online at Advocateslaw.com.
Danny is on the phone today for a first date follow-up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Priya.
So in a few minutes, we're going to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date.
But first, Danny, how long has it been since you heard from Priya?
Oh, I haven't heard from her for more about a week now.
Okay.
So have you hit her up?
I've tried to, and I haven't heard anything back.
Well, how did you end up leaving the date at the end?
Did you feel like you guys were going to see each other again?
I mean, I thought so.
Like, we had a good time.
When I left, she was laughing.
I thought we had chemistry.
but something must have missed up, I guess.
Okay.
Well, tell us about the date.
Well, we went to a paint and sip class.
You know, the wine, easels instructor wears a gray, that kind of thing.
Yeah.
I mean, we just, we had a really good time because, like, okay, I love her laugh.
Like, she has a very contagious laugh.
Every time she giggles, you just kind of want to keep it going, you know?
Aw.
So that was so, like, fun to just find.
ways to make her laugh that entire night um and i will admit while i was there you know at the at the
class i drank a little too much wine okay but i dip my paintbrush in the glass and started
painting with the with the wine and i was like oh this is hilarious but like some of the other people
there got gave me some dirty looks i'm i worry if maybe it was like oh
quard or something.
You wasted the wine.
You started painting with your wine.
Did she notice that?
Yeah, no.
Did you try to play it off?
I thought she thought it was fine.
So you tried to play it off like you were joking around or?
Yeah.
No, I tried to play it off like I'm joking around.
She didn't know it's just because you were hammered and you couldn't tell the wine from your paint.
Well, yeah.
Well, plus, I mean, come on.
Like, what's wrong with a guy turning wine?
into art. How did she react to that?
I mean, well, she laughed. She cleaned her glass with mine. I thought we had like a fun
little moment. Okay. So what else happened on the day? Well, I mean, that was pretty much
all there in the, like it was just that class. But we got along just fine. And I don't know
what's up since. After the class, did y'all just both like leave, you went your separate ways,
you walked left, she went right, or did y'all, like, talk for a little bit?
You go on a walk.
I mean, we talked for, like, a little bit at the end, but we mostly just parted ways there.
But it did end very, very sincerely.
Like, I'd be no real reason to think she wouldn't get back to me.
All right, so that's the only thing you can think of then, other than that seemed like a great time.
That is the only thing I can think of.
I mean, let's not downplay it with that moment.
Not to, like, make you feel worse about it, but that's kind of a big thing,
dipping your paintbrush and wine.
Yeah, I don't get fair, but it is the only thing.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, all right.
We'll see if we can figure it out for you.
Then we'll play a song, come back.
Call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you a second date, okay?
All right.
All right.
We'll get your first date follow up next.
I'm Jorge Ramos.

Together we're launching The Moment, a new podcast about what it means to

We sit down with politicians.
I would be the first immigrant mayor in generations,
but 40% of New Yorkers were born outside of this country.
Artists and activists, I mean, do you ever feel demoralized?
I might personally lose hope.
This individual might lose the faith.
But there's an institution that doesn't lose faith.
And that's what I believe in.
To bring you death and analysis from a unique Latino perspective.
There's not a single day that Paola and I don't call or text each other, sharing news and thoughts about what's happening in the country.
This new podcast will be a way to make that ongoing intergenerational conversation public.
Listen to The Moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos as part of the MyCultura podcast network on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is a tape recorder statement.
The person being interviewed is Krista Gail.
Pike, which is in regards to the death of a Colleen Slimmer.
She just started going off on me and I hit her.
I just hit her and hit her and hit her and hit her.
On a cold January day in 1995, 18-year-old Krista Pike killed 19-year-old Colleen Slimmer
in the woods of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Since her conviction, Krista has been sitting on death row.
The state has asked for an execution date for Krista.
We let people languish in prison for decades, raising questions about who we consider fundamentally unrestorable.
How does someone prove that they deserve to live?
We are starting the recording now.
Please state your first and last name.
Krista Pike.

We're getting a little bit older, and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing.

IVF disrupted, the Kind Body story.
A podcast about a company that promised to revolutionize fertility care.
Introducing Kind Body, a new generation of women's health and fertility care.
Backed by millions in venture capital and private.
at equity, it grew like a tech startup.
While Kind Body did help women start families,
it also left behind a stream of disillusioned
and angry patients.
You think you're finally like with the right people
in the right hands and then to find out again
that you're just not.

By what?

right in the middle of your first date follow up and if you're just joining us
Danny is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Priya
so we're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him
and maybe get him a second date but first Danny why don't you break down your date again
for us real quick okay uh Priya and I had mostly a really good time we went to a paint
and sip class we had wine at one point I accidentally drunk like because I drank too much
wine, get my brush
into the wine. But I played it off,
I started painting with it. I got some
dirty looks from the other people there, and I think
maybe that was a little too awkward
for her, so I'm worried that might be the
case. Okay. I just want to see what's up.
All right. Well, are you ready for us
to call her? Let's go. Here we go.
Hi, may I speak to Priya, please.
Yes, this is Priya.
Hey, Priya, how are you?
This is a radio show.
It's called The Jubal Show.
Hi, I'm Nina.
Hi, I'm Victoria.
And my name is Jubal.
What's up?
Hello, everyone.
Hi.
Have you ever listened to the show before?
I think maybe once or twice, which in passing.
That's good.
I think maybe once or twice is exactly what we're looking for when it comes to people.
So don't check it out more than that, okay?
But we do do a segment on the show, and it's called the four.
first date follow-up.
That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and you end up ghosting them,
that person can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting.
And we got an email about you from somebody.
Wait.
Okay.
Yes, I have heard your show before.
Who could that be?
Well, that's what we're asking you.
Do you know?
Is it Jonathan or?
It's not Jonathan, no.
You got another option?
Good for you.
girl it was andre uh no not jonathan or andre you got another third option um how many people
are you ghosty boy to be danny yes it is danny third time is a charm yeah danny emailed us about you
he said he really liked you and can't figure out why you're not getting back to him would
you mind telling us oh god this is kind of awkward sure you know i i'm in the
the arts industry and
I was really appreciative
that he took me out to one
of those like sip and paint things
I had never been to one so I was
really excited. Yeah, he told us about that.
He was a really
funny guy. He was really sweet.
He was warm, you know,
really personable, you know.
But things
took a turn a little bit.
I think he had a little
too much to drink.
I'm not much of a drinker in the first
place um you know so i i slipped on my wine as they say but he was just throwing it back and um
it got real Salvador dolly Picasso as you know the experimental evening um with his personality
so it was a little bit of a pass for me what what do you mean something happened it was a little
strange because he accidentally dipped his brush in the wine um it was asking for like
a new class.
He thought it would be funny to start, again, going Salvador Dali with it and throwing that
wine up on that canvas.
And that was like, you know, okay, I tried to play that off and laugh.
You know, it was a good way to handle like an oopsie.
But he was this freaking Australian accent that took over.
Oh, yeah.
Wait, what?
I think Steve Irwin, you know, rest in peace.
He was narrating the evening.
I could understand
maybe his Australian accent
was like really good
but it was not
you know
it wasn't good
and every single brush stroke
was another sentence
with the Australian accent
is like all right
do it for one paragraph
but don't give me like
the whole
so he was just annoying you
with his fake Australian accent
was he doing that to be funny
or did he seem like he was nervous
I don't know
I assume the alcohol content
Yeah, that's a good point.
That's a good point.
Yeah, I don't know.
This is like soft intro to roleplay.
Okay.
Well, thank you for telling us why you're ghosting him.
Appreciate that.
There's your chance to go on with Australian guy.
Thank you.
Also, let you know, Priya, he's actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.
Yeah.
Oh, awesome.
Look at that.
How you doing, Danny?
All right.
or should I say good night
That doesn't sound that bad actually
No you shouldn't Danny
Well go on
I mean I think that's a ridiculous thing to go someone over
There's been weirder like that evening
You know I'm so sorry but
The image of you
Doing that is feared into my brain
I'm so sorry
It's a imagine
I'm sitting there.
Everything's normal.
And then all of a sudden you start painting with wine.
And then it's a little splash of passion across the horizon.
Sounds like.
Oh, God, I'm so drunk.
I'm sorry.
I didn't know Bluey came out.
Who?
Bluey?
You know, it puts a little splash of passion across that horizon.
Is that the name of your Australian guy?
Yeah, I mean, it's...
Look, I don't know any Australian people.
It's the easiest one to go with.
I didn't realize how drunk I was.
Sometimes when I get really drunk, he comes out.
Bluey's like your alter ego?
Yeah.
Well, I mean, it's nice to have someone I can kind of fall back into.
Okay.
Isn't it?
No, we need Bluey to go back inside.
I think he makes things fun.
What's wrong with bringing some Bob Ross energy
with, you know, an accent.
I'm sorry, Danny, but it wasn't funny.
It was really annoying.
You know, once or twice, okay, that's cute.
Going into bluey territory, now I'm 15 years old watching Nickelodeon,
it was not sexy.
But it was funny, all right?
Like, it was funny.
I think maybe you should open your heart to entertainment a little more, maybe.
I mean, I was killing it.
I thought, you know, everybody was laughing.
the teacher took notice.
I thought it was a good time.
Everybody seemed to enjoy it.
They were laughing at you, not with you.
It was bizarre to all that.
Oh, no, I think there's no such thing as bad publicity.
If you want to recognize me as all it matters.
Priya, would you like another date with Danny?
We'll pay for it.
No.
I am not ready for another performance art meltdown.
Wait, wait, no, no, wait, but, okay, okay, hear me out, hear me out.
I know I went overboard.
I had the running commentary and everything that's a bit much.
That was kind of a disaster.
Okay, I'll hear you.
I can't promise you that I'll be, you know, perfect,
but I can tell you I won't terrorize everyone else there.
Come on, just do one more chance.
I don't know how convincing that was, Danny.
I'll behave like a normal human.
I swear I can do that.
What do you think, Priya, one more chance?
Oh, my God.
I'm afraid that I'm not just dodging a bullet,
but I'm, like, dodging paint splatter.
And that sounds even scarier to me.
But, you know, Danny, you are so dramatic, but fine.
One more try.
You'll go out with them again?
Yes.
I will, but this is his last chance.
Okay?
Yes.
Yes.
Crocky, I'm excited.
Joubles' first date follow-up.

Hi, it's Jemma Spag, host of the Psychology of Your 20s.
This September at the Psychology of Your 20s, we're breaking down the very interesting ways psychology applies to real life, like why we crave external validation.
I find it so interesting that we are so quick to believe others' judgments of us and not our own judgment of ourselves.
So according to this study, not being liked actually creates similar pain levels as real life physical pain.
Learn more about the psychology of everyday life and, of course, your 20s this September.
