Don is on the phone today for a first date follow up and he's not getting a call back from a woman named Sydney and it really sucks because he had just jumped into the dating pool again Is that some sort of joke?

Yes it is but it's a really bad joke because nobody even knows why that would be a joke yet. Because I haven't explained why he doesn't think he's getting a call back. And I'll just let you wait. And that joke will hit you in a little while. And it will be amazing. What's up, Deshaun? How are you?

I'm doing pretty good. How about yourself? Not too bad. I just told an amazing joke, Deshaun. And me and you are the only ones that know the punchline. I mean, the fact that I'm not getting a call back because I can't swim. Yeah, that's what I mean. Amazing joke. So before we get into you not knowing how to swim and your date with Sydney, how long has it been since you talked to her?

It's been about two weeks now. Okay, that's a long time. And how many times have you tried to reach out to her in the two weeks? I tried to try three times. in those two weeks? I tried three times. I didn't want to be overly imposing. And she hasn't responded to any of them? No, nothing. Tell us about the date before you tell us about the reason you think

you're not getting a call back. Okay, so pretty much we met on POF. That's the dating site. It's called Plenty of Fish. Oh, okay. Plenty of Fish. Yeah, she thought it was funny that I had, you know, a little cheesy that I had long walks at the beach on my profile. We ended up talking and then, you know, we just ended up actually taking a long walk on the beach. Oh, so your first date was actually going to the beach?

Yeah. So how was the walking on the beach? Man, so your first date was actually going to the beach? Yeah. So how was the walking on the beach? Man, it was great, man. We did all of the beach things. You know, we took the walk on the beach. We had a great time, though. It was great. We had food after that and a few drinks and just enjoyed ourselves.

It was real nice. How did things end with her then? It ended great. You know, we went our separate ways because we both met It was real nice, you know. How did things end with her then? It ended great, you know. You know, we went our separate ways because we both met up there. So we drove and got something to eat. And then from there, you know, after that, we went our separate ways. And, you know, I told her I had a great time.

She said she had a great time as well. And after that, I've been trying to contact her and didn't get a response the only thing that i can think of is the fact that when we got to the beach i had to let her know that i can't swim considering the beach is your favorite place in the world you think you might learn to swim i've been trying to learn for years i don't know i think i learned how to fly okay is it is it a fear thing? Are you scared? Yeah, actually, yeah. Because when I was a kid and they tried to teach me how to swim, you know how they throw the kid in the water

and they learn how to swim? It didn't work good. You're like, I'm not letting that happen again. They had to come save me. So I think that's what caused it. I mean, I can't see someone not calling someone back over that. Because they didn't know how to swim, swim yeah that's all I could think of like you know other than that the date was great we you know we you know we had a lot of things in

common it was it was cool so the swimming thing is the only thing I could think of really it's hard to believe that somebody wouldn't call you back for that did you try to swim and then that's how she found out or you just yeah you know you know, she kind of brought it up, but you know, we were just talking about it and I said, you know, I just let her know I couldn't swim because, you know, we weren't really planning on getting in the water. But when it came up, I just let her know I couldn't swim. Right. All right. I mean, did she seem disgusted by that or was she like, oh, that's interesting. Tell me more. No, she kind of I think she kind of brushed it off.

I think we didn't really discuss more after that as far as the swimming part. Yeah. See, like, I don't think it would bother me, though. Like, I don't think I would go into it if somebody didn't know how to swim that I was on a date with. I was just like, why? Well, I don't know. That seems like a ridiculous reason to not call you back. So we'll see if we can figure out.

The only reason that he thinks he's not getting a call back from her is the fact that he can't swim. That's all he can think of, apparently. He has never been able to swim. You probably haven't really tried that hard. No, it's crazy, man. I literally grew up right there at the beach. I grew up

with the ocean across the street from us, and I just never learned. Yeah. It's not that like uncommon for people not to know how to swim. There's a lot of people

that don't know how to swim. Deshawn is on the phone he can't swim and he thinks that's the reason she's not calling him back. Other than that he can't think of another reason and he really likes Sydney

I'm a little concerned about why you're calling me, though, based on the show. All right, well, there's only a few options. I don't know how much you listen to the show, but we do the first date follow-up. That is correct.

So you went out on a date with someone recently and are ghosting them, and so they emailed us to get you on the phone. Any idea who it could be? Yeah, I do actually. And you know what? I have honestly ghosted a lot of people, but I never thought that this would happen to me because I listen to people see the show a lot. But yeah, I just didn't think that I would be on here, but I do know exactly what you're talking about.

Deshawn? It is Deshawn. Yeah. Deshawn emailed us and he wants to know why you're not calling him back okay well honestly like okay

I guess I'm on the spot now he's a super nice guy we had a really good time so when I saw his profile he had he like long walks on the beach on there

so we kind of made a joke about it and then decided like maybe that would be fun actually so yeah he told us about that he said he said did he put that on his dating profile kind of as a joke and every once in a while he actually has to take on a walk on the beach because of it but apparently he likes that so it's fine yeah yeah that's exactly what happens so when we were doing our beach walk i

kind of noticed something that weirded me out a little bit uh was it he actually thinks that you're not calling him back because he can't swim. So is that like what you just don't like that? What? Really? No, I don't care about that at all. What did you notice? I noticed that he has six toes on one of his feet. And you don't like his six toes? So people have extra toes sometimes and extra fingers and extra limbs, and you don't like that?

You don't see it that often, but. It weirded me out. Is it, though, that big of a deal? I don't want to be mean, but, like, yeah, it just weirded me out a lot. I've never seen that before. How many feet are you looking at of guys being like, wow, that was a really sexy feet? Or most of the time you're like, I hope I don't have to see his feet.

Well, I've never looked at have to see his feet. Well, I've never looked at one and seen six toes on it. So. Right. That's fair. So you already know the feet are probably

going to be disgusting though. But they're normal feet. Okay. This was not normal. I mean, it's a normal foot. It's actually a bionic foot. It's got an extra toe.

Yeah. Yeah, no, I just thought it was super weird. Oh my God. But wait a second. He's on the phone, right?

And you guys have me say all that stuff. I feel bad. I'm not trying to be mean. Wait, you're asking if he's on the phone? Because aren't they on the phone when you guys do this usually? Oh, you think that normally the first day of follow-up, we have them on the phone and then they listen to the reason that you're not calling them back, and then we reveal that they're on the other line, right?

Yeah, they are on the other line, but they have been listening. Yeah, that's what we do. That's what's going on. That's probably why you think he's on the phone, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yes, Tashaun is on the line listening. Yeah, what's up? I'm on the line.

Hey. Yes. I'm really sorry. I'm not trying to be mean. You're a super cool guy, but it did. It was weird to me. I'm sorry. If that bothered you, you know you could have told me,

but you're making fun and making jokes about me on the radio. I'm not trying to make fun. I just, I was honest, but it weirded me out. And I tried to be, you know, diplomatic about it. It just, it was kind of weird to me. I don't feel like I made fun of you. Cindy wasn't that mean. She wasn't mean.

And I'm really sorry. I did forget you were on the line. And now that I'm like saying this out loud to other people, I feel like I'm realizing it is kind of a stupid reason not to call someone back. Yeah. He's got a six toe. You're not, don't call someone back. I mean, if they have a split personality, but a six toe, I don't think that's that big of a deal. Are you, are you self-conscious about your big show at all? Big show your six toe at all? Deshaun? You know, I had it my whole life i was i was real self-conscious about it you know growing up

but at this point in my life it doesn't bother me as much i mean i understand you know i'm not you know i'm not naive i understand most people in the world has 10 toes i'm not a fool you know i understand it's something different but you know now it doesn't really bother me like uh and the women i dated it was never like know, now it doesn't really bother me. Like, in the women I dated, it was never, like, really an issue. It didn't bother them either. So I didn't even, you know, think about it as much because, you know, that hasn't been an issue for me as far as dating and stuff like that. You know, they might crack a joke about it and, you know, we just keep it going from there. But it hasn't been a problem in the long term.

It hasn't held you back. I mean, yeah, you know, I'm cool with it. You know, I have a six-toe and I'm proud of it in a long time. Hasn't held you back. I mean, yeah, you know, I'm cool with it.
