This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, host of the Psychology Podcast.
Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you.
When you think about emotion regulation, you're not going to choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome.
Avoidance is easier.
Ignoring is easier.
Denials is easier.
Complex problem solving.
Takes effort.

It's time to catch a cheater.
Only on the Jubal Show.
Normally it's to catch a cheater right here,
but today's going to be a little different
because every once in a while,
there are dirty little secrets
that are bigger than just the dirty little secret.
And right now is one of those times.
In case you missed a dirty little secret from a while ago,
one woman called in and told us this.
My best friend's been in our relationship for probably, I don't know, a couple years now.
And this guy cheating her, he's probably done it like two times or so.
And so I flirted with him.
And basically, I hooked up with him in order to prove.
Well, what?
You can justify anything.
I don't know if that really proofs anything, though, because she could easily not believe you.
Well, basically what I did was I got like an audio recording.
Oh, God.
You recorded your...
Just a little bit.
And then I just sent it to her and I said, hey, somebody anonymously sent me this.
This is your boyfriend and he's cheating.
And then just the other day, her friend, the one whose boyfriend she cheated with,
called us for her own dirty little secret.
And here's a clip of that one.
Well, that was my best friend.
Oh.
Dang, girl, I'm sorry.
You heard it.
Yeah, no, not just me.
a lot of people listen to you guys
and it was Emily
which is super messed up
you're trying to show me
that my boyfriend is a player
by sleeping with them
like what kind of sense does that make
so you know what you go low
I'm going lower
and I ended up hooking up
with her dad
wow and now Whitney is on the phone
because she wants to call her friend
and let her know that she slept with her father
because her friend slept with her boyfriend.
Wait, hey, what's up?
How are you?
I'm just ready to get this off my chest, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, have you talked to that friend at all?
No, I've just kind of been avoiding her and, like, not texting back.
Well, like, texting lightly and saying just, like, basically, like, oh, I've been really busy.
Just because I have, like, I'm ready to confront her, but, like, you know, I've been, like,
waiting to do it with you guys.
And, like, yeah, so I'm ready.
Have you hooked up with the dad other than just that one time?
Like, is it like a thing now?
I did see him once more.
Okay.
What do you think your friend's going to do when you tell her this?
You know, I don't really care.
Like, this is, like, karma.
Like, this is what happens.
Like, what did you expect?
Like, honestly, I've always had the hots for her dad.
So it kind of just gave me the push.
And I don't know.
It's just how things turned out.
I would have never done that had she not slept with my boyfriend ever.
Like, the fantasy had been there, and I would have never asked on it.
She's the one that gave me the green line.
Well, you know, the reasoning that she said she did it was because she was sure he was cheating on you,
so she wanted to prove that he would cheat on you, and that's why she did it.
Does that make it any better?
Which is absolutely ridiculous.
Like, okay, maybe set him up, but, like, go through with that.
Like, that doesn't make any sense at all.
Like, obviously she wanted to do it.
I feel like there was part of her that wanted to, too.
There's no way you would do that otherwise.
Yeah.
Right.
All right.
Well, we'll play a song, come back, and then you can call your friend, who slept with your boyfriend, and let her know that because of that, you have been messing around with her father.
Are you still sure you want to do this, Whitney?
Yeah, I am.
I don't like keeping secrets, and this never would have happened had she not slept with my ex.
All right.
So, you know, let's just come out with it all and just be on the same.
page. Okay, well, please don't come back, and you can call your friend right after this.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds.
totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor
and they're the same age. It's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's
nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this
person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's
boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the
OK Storytime podcast on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
The Super Secret Festi Club podcast season four is here. And we're

Today, we have a very special guest with us. Our new
super secret bestie is the divo of the people.
The diva of the people.
I'm just like, text your ex.
My theory is that if you need to figure out that the stove is hot,
Go and touch it. Go and figure it out for yourself.
Okay.
That's us.
That's us.
My name is Curley.
And I'm Maya.
In each episode, we'll talk about love, friendship, heartbrates, men, and, of course, our favorite secrets.
Listen to the Super Secret Bestie Club as a part of the My Cultura podcast network available on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
I had this, like, overwhelming sensation that I had to call it right then.
And I just hit call, said, you know, hey, I'm Jacob Schick.
I'm the CEO of One Tribe Foundation, and I just wanted to call on and let her know.
There's a lot of people battling some of the very same things you're battling.
And there is help out there.
The Good Stuff podcast, Season 2, takes a deep look into One Tribe Foundation,
a nonprofit fighting suicide in the veteran community.
September is National Suicide Prevention Month,

I was married to a combat army veteran.
and he actually took his own life to suicide.
One tribe saved my life twice.
There's a lot of love that flows through this place and it's sincere.
Now it's a personal mission.
I don't have to go to any more funerals, you know.
I got blown up on a React mission.
I ended up having amputation below the knee of my right leg
and a traumatic brain injury because I landed on my head.
Welcome to Season 2 of the Good Stuff.
Listen to the Good Stuff podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast,
or wherever you get your podcast.
All right, hold on tight because things are going to be a little.
bit crazy. Normally we do to catch a cheater right here, but today's a little different.
Something awkward, very awkward is about to happen. That's all I will say. But Whitney is on the
phone with us and Whitney called up for a dirty little secret the other day because she has
been messing around with her friend's father. Oh, there's a reason for that. But there is a reason for
Whitney, do you want to tell what the reason is? Yeah, well, basically my best friend
slept with my boyfriend who's now my ex
because she thought that he was a player
and that he was cheating on me
and she wanted to prove that he was not good for me
so she did that by sleeping with him
so selfless
I mean technically he did cheat on you
with the friend
so I heard that little that dirty little secret
I actually heard it like I recognize her voice
and so I ended up sleeping with her dad
who I've always had this like secret crush on
who would have never acted on it
and never would have until her actions gave me the green light.
And at the end of your dirty little secret, Whitney,
when you called up and said that you've been messing around with her dad,
you said that you'd be willing to call her on the air
and tell her that you've been doing this.
Are you ready?
Yeah, I'm ready.
I want it all out in the clear.
Like, this has been driving me crazy.
Yeah, let's do it.
Okay.
Well, I'm going to call her right now,
and then you can do your thing and we'll jump in if we need to, okay?
Okay.
All right, here we go.
Hello?
Hey, Emily.
Oh, it's Rick.
Hi, Witt, that's weird.
You came up as like this weird number on my phone.
Yeah, so listen, I need to talk to you about something.
Okay, I'm just going to start.
the top like this is not easy for me okay listen what i told you i only recorded the audio to prove
that he was cheating on you okay i promise i had the best intentions there i know it's crazy
but that's where i go from with this that doesn't make sense at all like there's no it makes
at the time wet okay and i'm sorry i have apologized a million times to you i've tried to reach out
you haven't been responding back to any of my text messages or calls or anything i recorded
Okay, but why would you do that?
That doesn't make any sense.
Like, I've always felt a weird vibe there.
At the time, it felt like it was making sense.
I didn't know how else to show you that he was cheating on you.
You weren't listening to me, so it needed a statement.
Okay, you slept with my boyfriend to prove that he would cheat on me and recorded audio.
Like, Emily, that doesn't make any sense.
That's super shady.
Listen, we've been friends for literally our whole lives.
I just felt like you, if I justified it to you, that it would make sense.
It made sense at the time, and now I look back on it, and I do regret it.
It's crazy.
I know that, but you weren't listening to me.
You weren't listening to anybody we were all trying to tell you.
So, yeah, I was like, let's prove it.
You weren't going to believe it any other way.
Okay, well, Emily, because of this, like, whole little weird situation that you created,
I need to tell you something, and I don't know how you're going to take it,
but I just don't do that.
What the fuck, which?
Are you serious?
Yeah, I'm not lying.
This is like a made-up recording.
It doesn't even make any sense.
Are you fucking kidding me?
No, what am I supposed to do?
Yeah, because I thought you're not like your whole life.
You just, that's so crazy.
That goes way past.
It doesn't even make any sense.
Whitney. No, you're the one that started this, okay? I never would have done that had I not thought
that you did what you did, which I still think it's super shady and think, okay, why would you,
it doesn't make any sense? Why would you get the radio involved? Why would you make this recording
and lie about all this and go on the radio? That makes zero sense. Of course I'm going to sleep
with your dad, Emily. You know I've always thought he's hot. You know all your friends think you
hot. Like, come on. I didn't think you would do anything about it. Yeah.
I've done it twice now, and I'm actually thinking about doing it a third time.
Part of me is actually a little bit grateful that you did what you did because I like him.
Are there other people there?
Why is there like a laughter in the background?
Hey, Emily, how are you?
This is the Jubal Show.
Hi, I'm Nina.
Remember us?
Hi, I'm Victoria.
And my name's Jubal.
Yeah, you do remember us because you did a dirty little secret.
How's it going?
Yikes.
So is this like some sort of prank or like did this actually happen?
No, Emily, this has actually happened.
Like, this is not a prank.
This is like me coming clean about everything,
which if you had done that in the first place,
you know, maybe this when it has happened,
not that I regret it.
Why would you bring in the radio?
Why are you doing this live on air right now?
Emily, you did it first.
You're the one that started this.
You're the one that I'll open this box of worms.
You can't be mad at me for retaliating.
That was your boyfriend.
Okay.
Kate, you're talking about my dad.
You've literally known him your whole life.
That's gross.
That's weird.
That's not, okay, that's not cheating.
Me hooking up with your dad is not cheating.
You hooking up with my boyfriend at the time, that's cheating.
That's totally different.
Because this is actually what I did is a lot, though.
Whitney, that was AI.
Huh?
What part?
What does that mean?
I,
the conversation,
the dialogue between your boyfriend and I, it wasn't real.
I did the chat, GBT, with it.
It's not real, Whitney.
Wait, so the audio of you sleeping with Whitney's boyfriend, you faked it?
Yes, it was fake.
Did you sleep with her boyfriend?
No.
What?
Yeah, okay.
So, like, you weren't listening to me, and I just knew that you would always stick with them.
So I made the whole thing up because I figured,
It's better to lose a friend than you end up with somebody that's, like, not going to deserve you.
So I made it up, and I don't know.
I just thought I was helping you.
You thought you were helping me?
That's the dumbest I've ever heard, Emily.
Why would you do that?
You would rather lose our friendship?
Oh, thanks.
It's not in your place.
It's not in your place, dude.
I know it's not in my place.
This is clearly escalated to a point.
that I didn't anticipate and I don't know what else to say I was trying to help you you weren't
listening to anybody so I had I just had to get creative and obviously it failed miserably well
it's like almost got creative I guess so so you didn't actually do anything with my boyfriend
no I recorded his voice when we were out one night just so I could get his voice correct for the
AI and I just made up a conversation through that and played that for you.
So I slept with your dad for nothing?
You said you don't regret it.
Um, I don't even know what to say.
Yeah, I guess so.
I guess so, Witt.
Congratulations.
Okay, if I promised not to do it again, can we still be friends?
What?
Whitney, I don't know.
It sounds like you guys got some stuff to talk about, so we'll let you figure it out.
Hey, I and dad's, man.
But it's not like kind of backfired on you, Emily?
Slightly.
And then Whitney, I don't know.
You're telling me.
Well, I mean, her dad is really high, you guys.
Like, people.
It's all of our friends and so.
The jubel shows to catch a.
