Starting point is 00:02:12 or wherever you get your podcasts. First date of follow-up. Powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys. Online at AdvocatesLaw.com. Hayden is on the phone today for a first date follow-up. He's getting ghosted by Elena. So in a minute, we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's
Starting point is 00:02:28 ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first, Hayden, how long has it been since you heard from her? It's been about nine days, I'd say, nine or 10 days. So how many times have you tried to reach out to her?
Starting point is 00:02:40 Once every other day. I mean, the most recent was this morning. You know, I'm still trying to, you know, connect with her if possible. Okay. How was the day? The day was great. I mean, that's why I'm so baffled. Like, so, you know, we met online and then we met up at this little wine bar, you know, in kind of a middle of the neighborhood, which is really nice.
Starting point is 00:03:05 And it was like they had a little patio out there. She brought her dog. She had a little baby dog. I think it was like a Pomeranian or something, which that's weird. But yeah, I guess in a sense, she didn't tell you. No, no, no, no. I'm going to date. That'd be kind of weird. I think it's cool.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Give you the puppy. OK, anyway. Doesn't this biscuit a date? That'd be kind of weird. I think it's cool. Give me the puppy. Okay, anyway. Dog's name is Biscuit. It was, you know, he was fine or whatever, you know. You didn't mind that she surprised you with a dog on your date? I am a dog lover myself, so like at first it was, you know, certainly by surprise, but after a while, you know, I got adjusted to the dog. I mean, I don't know if the dog was getting so adjusted to me.
Starting point is 00:03:44 He kept trying to like bite on me and every time I tried to pet him, he would growl I mean, I don't know if the dog was getting so adjusted to me. He kept trying to like bite me. And every time I try to pet him, he would growl and stuff. But the dog didn't like you. He was just he was just being protective, I guess, of his of his owner. You know, she even actually had a little joke saying some like, you know, if this kid doesn't vibe with you, then that's a red flag or something like that. But I think she was just I think she was just joking.
Starting point is 00:04:06 I think, I hope, God, I hope, uh, cause you know, I can bribe biscuit, you know, dogs can love me eventually. Right. Yeah. She might not have been joking. I was gonna say some people are very, you want to say dogs can, you know, since yeah, maybe she was serious. I mean, hopefully this can give me a second chance.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Uh, cause I know I can win him over. Cause the day, the date was going great. Like after a while, you know, the dog kind of laid there and just kind of kept to himself. And then we started vibing, connecting, you know, we got a, we shared a trick, trick, who'd agree. She actually made fun of me for not knowing that. I thought that was actually kind of cute. But yeah, one of those cheese boards. And it was really nice.
Starting point is 00:04:53 We had fun with the wine. We had a couple. We shared a bottle. After that, we went back to her place and, you know, we were still vibing. Everything was good. And, you know, one thing led to another. We hooked up, you know, I don't want to say just like that, but yeah, yeah, yeah, we did. It happened.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And, uh, Do you put Biscuit in another room? Yeah, Where's the dog? Biscuit was in the bathroom. Biscuit, he left her or him in the bathroom. And we, you know, we just, we just tend to do each other. And it was it was just electric.
Starting point is 00:05:28 It was amazing. It was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not going to lie. You know, on top of that being wonderful, it I don't know, she just had a thing about her. Like she seemed so genuine and real. And when I was talking to her, she seemed like she was interested and wasn't, you know, just kind of one ear, not the other. And, you seemed like she was interested and wasn't, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:45 just kind of one ear, not the other. And, you know, she was sarcastic and sharp and witty and funny. And you know, she was calling me out for trying to act smarter than I am. You know, I guess it didn't help when I didn't know the name with the cheese board. But we just had some thing and I just, I want to know why she, why all of a sudden she's ghosting me you know what could have gone wrong was there any other moment aside from biscuit nipping at your ankles that was kind of awkward or or no I have no no idea I mean I yeah he
Starting point is 00:06:17 was nipping at me at first but you know he came he calmed down after a while and we were having such a great time I mean I thought I did a great job, you know, performing, if you will. I don't know. Maybe I might've, I might've said something stupid, uh, towards the end of the night. You know, I had a good buzz on me. Um, I was tired, dehydrated, you know, I've been working a lot lately. So, you know, I haven't been catching up on sleep much, so I might've said something stupid. We'll see if we can figure it out for you then. We'll play a song, come back and then call her and see if we can figure it out for you then.
Starting point is 00:06:46 We'll play a song, come back and then call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you a second date. All right. Thank you guys. I appreciate that. Okay. We'll get your first day follow up next. Yo Kpop fans, it's your boy Bomhan and I'm bringing you something epic. Hey, my name's Jay Shetty, and I'm the host of On Purpose. I just had a great conversation with Michelle Obama. To whom much is given, much is expected.
Starting point is 00:08:06 The guilt comes from, am I doing enough? Me, Michelle Obama, to say that to a therapist. So let's unpack that. Former First Lady Michelle Obama and someone who knows her best, her big brother, Craig, will be hosting a podcast called IMO. What have been your personal journeys with therapy? We need to be coached throughout our lives.
Starting point is 00:08:27 My mom wanted us to be independent children. And she would always tell me, stop worrying about your sister. Having been the first lady of the entire country and representing the country and the world, I couldn't afford to have that kind of disdain. What would you say has been the most hardest recent test of fear? Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty
Starting point is 00:08:52 on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We live in a divided country. I am a lifelong Republican. With all kinds of different people. You know, I'm a mother, I'm a grandmother. That's why we started The Middle with Jeremy Hobson. It's about bringing voices not from the extremes,
Starting point is 00:09:11 but from the vast middle into the national conversation. Anna, I'm calling from Las Vegas. Each week, we bring together an all-star panel. Mark Cuban, so great to have you on The Middle. Thanks for having me, Jeremy. Neil deGrasse Tyson, welcome to The Middle. Thanks for having me. And hear Neil deGrasse Tyson, welcome to The Middle. Thanks for having me. And hear from ordinary Americans from all over the country
Starting point is 00:09:28 on the most important issues. Hi, my name is Venkat. I'm calling you from Atlanta, Georgia. And when you subscribe to The Middle, you also get an episode each week called One Thing Trump Did that focuses on just one item from the avalanche of news. We should be examining what our government spends its money on and are these jobs necessary and what are we doing here?
Starting point is 00:09:48 But that doesn't seem to be what we're doing in this situation. Listen to The Middle with Jeremy Hobson on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2020, a group of young women in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI-fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on,
Starting point is 00:10:12 my body parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting the series took us through the darkest corners of the internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology
Starting point is 00:10:35 that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carville. This is Levittown, a new podcast from iHeart podcasts, Bloomberg and Kaleidoscope. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Find it on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. First day of follow up powered by the advocates injury attorneys online at advocates law.com
Starting point is 00:11:05 If you're just joining us for today's first day of follow-up Hayden is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by Elena so we're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date but before we do that Hayden why don't you break down your date for us real quick again. I met at a wine bar had a great time she brought her dog which was a little off putting her first, because he kept, you know, nipping at me and growling at me. But after a while he calmed down and we had a great night and even great overnight, if you will. And ever since then,
Starting point is 00:11:37 I, you know, she's been ghosting me. I thought we had a great connection and I try calling her. She doesn't call me back, doesn't text me back. I mean, I don't know Like I said, maybe she is you know serious about biscuit and You know the vibe because he was growing I mean maybe she's true about like, you know, she did call him her his furry gatekeeper Well, maybe okay, so maybe her dog didn't like you that might be the reason you think you're getting ghosted Or maybe it was a gatekeeper didn't like In the middle of night, which I don't recall I was buzzed. I'm sorry. Are you ready for us to call her? Yes, please. Okay. Here we go. I'm gonna dial her phone number right now
Starting point is 00:12:21 Hello. Hi, may I speak to Elena please? This is she. Hey Elena, how are you? This is a radio show. It's called the Jubal Show. Hi Elena, I'm Nina. Hi and I'm Victoria. And my name is Jubal.
Starting point is 00:12:37 What's up? How are you? I'm good. Great. Have you ever listened to the show before? I have. Yeah. Dope. Have you ever heard of listened to the show before? I have.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Yes. Dope. Have you ever heard of First Aid Follow Up before? I have. Dope. Guess what, Elena? What? You're ghosting somebody and they emailed us. Oh no. Yeah. We do a segment called
Starting point is 00:13:02 the First Aid Follow Up where if you're ghosting somebody you can email us and we call that person and see if they'll tell us why they're ghosting you. So do you know who would have emailed us about you? Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that's Hayden, isn't it? Yes, it is Hayden. Do you have a few minutes to talk to us and tell us why you're ghosting him? He said he really liked you and he thought you were into him. Yeah. I mean, the date was actually really fun. I mean, he's adorable. He's cute. He made me laugh and he even tried to win over my dog, which was a big, big thing for me. He told us that you brought your dog on the date and that your dog didn't like
Starting point is 00:13:36 him. So he thought maybe that was a red flag. I mean, no, that's not, that's not why I've been ghosting him. He is like a bathroom criminal. What does that mean? She called him a criminal. A bathroom criminal. After we looked up, I went to the bathroom and he left the toilet seat up,
Starting point is 00:13:56 which wasn't the worst thing. OK. But then he also didn't flush. Oh, and let's just say hydration is not his strong suit. OK. Oh, no. It was disgusting. Oh, and let's just say hydration is not his strong suit. Oh no. It was disgusting. It was like someone poured beer into like a hot Oh, window. And you got it everywhere.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I'm telling you like everywhere. And to me, that's like just so gross and disrespectful to not even attempt to clean up after himself. Like, you know, as good of a time we were having to see that I was like, okay, what is going on? This is in your bathroom. In my bathroom. We went back to my place and he just said nothing ever happened.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Wait, can I, I can't say quiet now. Elena, that's Hayden. He's on the phone and wants to talk to you. Elena. That's why you ghosted me. That's why you ghosted me. My piece. How did you get it all over the bathroom? It was an accident.
Starting point is 00:14:55 It was a complete accident. I'm so sorry. In my defense, it was like 3am. I was half asleep, dehydrated and clearly not at my best. You know, I respect you. I swear. I just forgot to. You forgot how toilets work? Like what?
Starting point is 00:15:14 That's not comforting at all. I couldn't forget how toilets work. That was just not my right state of mind. Come on, you don't go someone for an overnight flush mishap. You know, I made a mistake. Yes, that was my error and I will own it, but you don't go someone for that. Come on.
Starting point is 00:15:31 We had chemistry, right? We even laughed at my dumb jokes. Listen, I do love the dumb jokes. And, but I mean, just the bathroom was just out of control. Like I didn't even, I didn't even know how to deal with that. So I don't know. Alina, listen, I really do like you. And, you know, we just hooked up right after that.
Starting point is 00:15:52 And it's kind of hard to control after hooking up. I'm sorry if I wasn't really paying attention to where it was. Is that a true statement, Jubal? I was. Yeah, it is actually. But I mean, I don't know, you know, I didn't see it. So I'd have to know how bad it was. I'm sorry about that, but I know we can move past this. You know, I think this is heard like me towards the end of it, you know, and I'm willing to give, you know, a biscuit of bribe.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I will come in, I will clean your bathrooms early. I will bleach it. I will. I will re shingle your tile, whatever, whatever we got to do. If I can get a second date with you, please. I listen, I really do like you, but I just don't want to start this whole thing off with me having to clean up after you and reminding you to drink water like that does not sound fun for me. Look, if you go on another date with me,
Starting point is 00:16:47 I promise I will pee straight. And I will aim straight through. That is a great throw. Hey. Can you promise that? Elena, what do you think? Would you go on another date with Hayden? We'll pay for it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I mean, that's a big promise. I've never heard anybody promise that before for somebody. Let's just sit down and have another date. Fine. What? Fine, yes, we can go on a second date, anybody promise that before for somebody. Bye. Yes, we can go on a second date, but we're staying out of my bathroom. Okay. The straight promises was, is what did it deal deal. And I'm bringing a water bottle and men's and a ride for biscuits and bleach for the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Oh my God. Whatever you want. That is so sweet. and bleach for the bathroom. Oh, my God. Whatever you want. That is so sweet. Congratulations, Hayden. You got another date. I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thank you so much. This was great.
Starting point is 00:17:35 All right. Thanks, guys. You know what? I'm actually pretty excited. I'll call you after we get done with this radio thing, and I'll call you on your phone. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:47 I'm looking forward to it. Another wine trip or something. Awesome. Thank you guys. Appreciate it. I'll talk to you soon, Elena. Okay. Jubals first date follow up. Yo, K-pop fans, are you ready?
