money reboot today. Listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
get your podcasts. Alex is on the phone today for a first date follow up and he's getting ghosted
by a woman named Hannah. So in a few minutes, we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's
ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first,
First, Alex, why do you think you're getting ghosted?
I think it's because I split my pants open while bowling.
Nice.
Oh, I hope that's not why, but that's funny.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, it wasn't a tiny rip either.
It was pretty, pretty big.
We went bowling and, you know, just having fun at the bowling alley on her first date.
And I thought in theory that was a good idea.
Yeah.
Until I celebrated.
Tell me you had underwear on, though, because I think that would be the only thing that would make this super offensive.
Like, as long as it wasn't...
Fortunately, fortunately, yes.
Okay.
You know, I celebrated my strike, and then I squatted down and heard the loudest rip of my life.
It was bad.
Oh.
What did she do?
The people bowling next to me heard it.
It was rough.
So did everybody just, like, pity you in that moment?
What did she do?
I mean, she did.
It was, it was, she started laughing.
So, like, I thought we were good because she laughed it off and thought it was funny.
And I didn't think I messed up my chances that bad, but, uh, I don't know.
I guess, I guess my ass made a stronger impression than I realized.
Yeah.
Maybe.
You actually think she's ghosting you because of that, huh?
I feel like it.
I mean, the boxers, I couldn't even hide them.
They were red.
So there was no hiding that.
Like, it wasn't black on black or anything.
It was black jeans with red boxers.
But they were clean with no holes in them or anything, right?
Right, right.
They were clean, super clean.
Did her attitude change after you split your pants open?
Like, did she seem...
No, I think we were good.
I mean, maybe there was a moment here and there where she was a little quieter,
but I think overall we were still good.
Okay.
How did things end with her?
Well, we pretty much just, you know, had a little food,
and left and that was it.
So, and I said, yeah, maybe you will catch up again soon and I'll try to text you.
All right.
I did, but there was nothing.
All right, Alex, here we go.
Anything else that you can think of other than splitting your pants open while you were bowling?
That has to be it, man.
That was the biggest thing that happened.
Okay.
Well, here we go.
I'm going to call her right now.
Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Hannah, please.
This is Hannah.
Who's up?
Hey, Hannah, how are you?
this is a radio show. It's called The Jubal Show.
Hi, Hannah. I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria.
And my name is Jubal. What's up?
What's up, girl?
Okay. Hey.
You listen to the show?
I do. What's going on?
Hey, that's cool. Well, thank you for listening.
But we do a segment called the first date follow-up, which you've probably heard,
where if you go on a date with somebody and you end up ghosting them,
that person can ask us to get you on the phone and find out why you're ghosting them.
All right.
Yeah.
Okay.
And we got an email about you.
Oh, God.
From Alex.
Okay.
Well, he said...
Do you mind telling us why you're ghosting him?
Yeah, he, I mean, mine's simple.
He said he didn't want fries.
Okay.
And then spent the entire time eating mine.
That's why you're ghosting.
Okay.
Yeah.
Huh.
So he ate all my fries.
So he ate all of your fries.
Yeah.
Order anything.
his own.
He offered to get you more.
We went back and forth arguing about this, by the way.
Okay.
Not a big argue, but like, hey, get your fries.
And then watching him over and over, I'm like, what is happening right now?
That was playful arguing.
You didn't seem like you were really that mad about it.
Hannah, that's Alex.
He's on the phone listening.
Wait.
And must talk to you.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
Are you serious?
Wait.
You said like to have you too.
Yeah.
I said you could have a few.
Not the whole basket.
Like, are you kidding?
Well, you know, things are just kind of funny after the whole pant rip thing.
So, like, I was just kind of teasing you out because you teased me a little bit about the pants.
No, no, no, no, no.
Our server, no.
Wait, our server even came over and said, if you wanted any, after she saw you eating all of mine and you, what did you say?
You said no.
So how is that cute?
Okay, I ordered what I wanted.
I'm sorry you didn't do the same because remember we talked about this.
How do you know, first of all?
Oh, come on.
Like, you weren't going to eat the entire order of fries.
That was huge.
It was big.
Like, just the basic order was huge.
Excuse me.
One, ew.
And two, you never gave me a chance.
And I wouldn't have wasted any of it because I would have eaten them.
Well, look, I didn't eat the whole basket.
Like, you're just being traumatic.
Come on.
Oh, that's not helping you.
No.
Oh, wow.
It's also not just the fries that turns me off, okay?
Let's just say that.
What else turn you off?
Like, I'm totally confused now.
Well, it started with you eating all my f***ing fries when I wanted to eat my fries, right?
So that's why I ordered a f***ing fries.
Not to mention
You split your pants open
Okay, ew
And then
Even worse, I saw your tattoo
Disgusting
Oh no
What tattoo are you talking about?
Oh, let me tell you, let me share
Right on his upper thigh
It says no refunds
No refunds
In big, bold
letters. No refunds.
That's a choice, Alex.
Okay. Yeah, that just started as a joke
with my buddies. That's nothing serious.
Like, you're being way
too serious about this.
So you do have a tattoo on your upper thigh that says
no refunds?
Yes, yes.
It's a college there.
You know, we do some things in college.
Yeah.
So,
that's that.
All right. Well,
Hannah, would you like to go on another date with Alex? We'll pay for it.
No refunds.
Oh, what? No. No.
Are you sure?
No, thank you.
Well, I'm sorry about the fries.
Send me your address. I'll send you a gift card for Wendy's or something.
Oh, my God. That was so sarcastic.
You can't even give me a real apology, seriously? Jesus.
That was a real apology. I apologize.
Can a man do anything, right?
Can't bowl, can't eat food with a girl, can't get a tattooed.
I can't even apologize.
You literally gave me the most sarcastic apology I've ever received.
Like, how am I supposed to respond to that?
You know what?
Fine.
I take back my offer for the free fries, and you know what?
No refunds, baby.
