First date of follow-up, powered by the advocates injury attorneys, online at Advocateslaw.com.
Greg is on the phone today for a first day follow-up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Joyce, so we're about to call her.
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him
and maybe get him a second date.
But first, Greg, how long has it been since you heard from Joy?
Oh, man, it's been like a almost two weeks.
Ooh.
I know.
I know.
I'm trying to figure this out.
I don't know what happens.
I feel like we had a good time.
What was the last thing she said to you?
The last thing she said to me, well, we were at the bar.
I don't know.
We had like a whole great date.
It's just like I felt like she all of a sudden disappeared.
on me. And so I was the one who reached out to her of her text, trying to figure out where she
went. And I just haven't heard back. Well, that's not good.
Tell us about it. Yeah. Well, I mean, I feel like I should tell you what happened first
because we ended up having a good date. It wasn't like it was just some random little fling.
Like we went out, got like these burritos from a food truck, ended up walking around, like,
doing karaoke. Like, I don't know. Joy, Joy's kind of my dream, really. She's like spontaneous.
she's got like this I don't know mischievous energy I don't know like I don't want to call her mischievous but like that's the best where I can come up with she's gorgeous like we ended up kissing and all this good stuff like she could challenge me but yeah it was so weird when we when we got to this when we got to the bar she just I went to the bathroom and when I came back she was gone did something happen I'm trying to figure that out like we we
I've been playing the date over and over in my head.
And we ended up getting into this argument about the hot sauces that we were
kidding with our burritos.
And like she got this nasty, she got this nasty hot sauce.
It was like those five jalapeno or five chili, whatever, like the hotline you can get.
I was like, you are, what are you doing?
And she's like, oh, I'm tough as nails.
And I was like, oh, okay, you're going to regret that.
I thought she was just like putting on a play.
Like, I thought she was just like playing around.
and I called it such like a basic move.
And she just kind of like pause for a minute.
I was like, okay.
Yeah, maybe the word basic might have hit harder than you wanted it to.
That's what I'm worried about.
Like, I'm just so freaked out that, you know,
because we were being so playful and like just kind of play teasing back and forth.
But like, I don't want her to think,
I don't want her thinking that I think that she is basic.
Like, I don't know.
I was just trying to razz her back in the same way that she was rising me.
But it was like that moment just keeps playing it over and over in my head.
And I'm just so worried that she actually thinks about.
What does Raz mean?
You were trying to razz her back?
Like she was razin you?
Like joking around.
Yeah.
Like poking.
Like,
It's teasing, you know?
Did she say anything after that?
Did she seem weird after that?
I mean, just like that moment where her face went kind of slack-jod when I called her like such a basic.
Well, no, that's not the thing, though.
I didn't call her basic.
I just said that's such like a basic thing to do
try and show that you're all tough
and so I don't know
Well had you guys had a couple drinks at that point
Because sometimes people get a little sensy poo
You know
So maybe that could be part of it
Like you came off a little bit more harsh
And then she was being a little sensitive
And then you can't take back the fact
That you just bounced on somebody
Oh God well yeah
Now that's all I'm going to think about
Yeah so of course
Okay and you haven't heard anything from her since your date
no it's been like I said like a week and a half two weeks and it feels like so much longer than that
and I texted her a couple times like I said hey you're doing okay and then I like she didn't
respond and then I feel so silly because I texted her again afterwards telling you exactly what
I'm or telling her exactly what I'm telling you like I apologize for calling her basic when she
never said like that's what's bothering me and so I have like three unread text
And I'm just feeling like, I don't know, I just feel so dumb.
I just feel so dumb.
Like I went to the bathroom, she's gone, and now she's not responding to my text.
And I'm just like, how did I mess this dog?
All right, we'll see if we can figure it out for you then.
We'll play a song, come back.
Brutal.
Call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you a second date, okay?
Okay, thanks, guys.
All right.
We'll get your first day follow up right after this.
Hello, it's Daniel Fischel.
Writer Strong.
And Wilfredel from PodMeets World.
And we're bringing you Viva Las Content.
That's right.
We are back in Las Vegas, the city of sin,
and giving the people what they want.

Wait, we're back in Vegas?
Tell me why.
Well, for the Backstreet Boys residency at Sphere, of course.
We sat down with Kevin Richardson and A.J. McLean just minutes before they took
stage and our very own Wilfredel basically became the newest member of the band.
Boy band, please.
Plus, the man who has the longest running comedy show on the strip joins us and gets his
props.
It's carrot top, baby.
And finally, we all L-O-V-E-Hur, Ashley Simpson-Ross, joins us to talk about her upcoming

Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, and I'm the host of the on-purpose podcast, and today I'm joined by one of
the greatest athletes of all time, Novak Djokovic.
The world's number one, mild tennis player.
He's won 14 grand slams in a glittering career.
Novak Djokovic!
You've been through so many injuries, losses.
Oh, I always heard himself.
What has Novak Djokovic done?
What goes through your mind when you lose?
I just want to be left alone.
What has it taken to become Novak Djokovic?
It's a consistent practice.
It's prayer work, mindfulness, meditation, conscious breathing.
It requires more responsibility from you on a daily basis
to prepare yourself for the biggest battle.
When you reach your 30, you start counting your days to your retirement.
I'm 38 this year.
How far can I go?
How long can I push my own limits?

December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport.
The holiday rush.
Parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys.
Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed.
There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal.
Apparently, the explosion actually impelled.
I hope. Glad.
The injured were being loaded into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay.
Terrorism.
Law and Order Criminal Justice System is back.
In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight.
That's harder to predict and even harder to stop.

If you're just joining us for today's first day, follow-up, Greg is on the phone, and he's getting ghosted by Joy.
So we're about to call her.
That sounds sad.
He's getting ghosted by Joy.
We're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him.
And maybe get him a second date.
But before we do that, Greg, why don't you recap your date for us real quick?
That's so weird.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, like I was saying, the date was great.
We went out for burritos, and then we went out and did some karaoke.
I wasn't seen too well, but we ended up going to a bar afterwards,
and I made a joke about calling her burrito choice basic, and then she just ditched me at the bar
when I went to the bathroom.
All right.
Are you ready for us to call her?
Where did she go?
God, yeah, I think.
I might have to sit down for this, but yes.
Okay.
Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Joy, please?
This is a radio show. It's called The Jubal Show.
Hi, Joy, I'm Mina.
Hi, I'm Victoria.
My name is Jubal. What's up?
I'm sorry.
Hi.
What's going on?
Not much.
Have you ever listened to the show before?
I have
Oh great
Okay well have you ever heard
Have you ever heard the first day follow up before
Yes I have
Sweet
So that's the segment where
If you're ghosting somebody
They can email us to get you on the phone
And ask why you're ghosting them
Yeah
Right
So we got an email about you from somebody
Who you ghost and joy
Who?
Greg
Ring a bell
really
yeah
yeah definitely
oh yeah I'm definitely
oh yeah I'm ghosting him
yes well why
do you mind telling us why
he ditched me
what
he ditched you
like he said he was gonna run to the bathroom
and then he never came back
wait what
I waited like 15 minutes
and I was like
um
I thought I'd been stood up
and then like
and he had just kissed
so I thought maybe it was that
And so I laughed.
Did you text him or anything to see if he was okay?
No.
Why would I?
I wasn't going to text the guy who like,
Irish goodbye to me after he kissed me.
So I just like message received, you know, and I just left.
But like, what if he was really in the bathroom and he needed a minute?
I gave him 15 minutes.
That's like an eternity when you're just standing alone at a bar.
Can I hop in here?
Can I hop in here?
Yes, you can.
Joy, that's Greg.
Hey, Joy.
um hi
joy i was in the bathroom line that line was like a mile long you saw it
and then i don't know i got like pulled into this dumb conversation with a guy about journey
he was saying like journey was overrated and i came back and then you were gone i thought
i honestly thought you were upset about what i was saying about like the hot sauce and stuff
okay if you're telling me my big romantic first day ended because you got trapped in a debate about
journey don't obsess about that are you can't
I mean, I was gone for like 15 minutes.
Well, 15 minutes is like a really long time to wait when you're by yourself.
Like, and what was I supposed to do?
Like, go send out a search party to the men's room?
Like, I couldn't go in there and check you know.
Maybe you should know.
Yeah, you should have sent out a search party.
I think that's exactly a great idea.
You know, knock on every stall door and say, is Greg in there?
I'm trying to find my date right now.
He sings really good karaoke.
Maybe you know him.
Oh, my God.
mean, I'm surprised people weren't avoiding you because of that.
You butchered that karaoke.
What? No, I did not.
I don't have a bad seeing you.
What's what do you mean?
Okay, not to be like a jerk although you did, like, leave me for like some sort of conversation
in the bathroom.
So I feel like I'm entitled to it.
But like, you were not good.
Like, I thought, I kind of thought you were doing it on purpose, like, to be funny.
It's, it's karaoke.
You don't have to be perfect.
Oh, don't worry.
You weren't.
Oh, my God.
Are you being serious right now?
I really can't tell if you're joking anymore.
I really can't tell if you're teasing.
I mean, you left me alone in this karaoke bar,
and then, like, now you're calling me on the radio?
It's all just a little, like, not how I expected my morning to go.
Like.
Okay, first of all, I didn't leave you.
You left me, okay?
You left me while I was using the facilities.
And first of all, get your ears check.
I sound amazing.
I don't know where this is coming from
I think this kind of goes up to like the fact
that you think burritos are better than tacos
Like I feel like maybe we have like
Because they all because they are
Don't even try and switch the
Don't even try and switch the topic to that that's ridiculous
Oh my God
You and your burritos
You don't even try
You know a messy burrito boy
What?
You don't call me
Oh my God
What did you just call me?
I called you a messy burrito boy
Get out
Did you ditched me
Out
In the middle of our date
We kissed and then you were just gone
Like
Stop saying your dad
dish you because I had to take a .
What is with you?
Take cheese of a .
Is this what it's going to like if we go out again?
There's never a line.
Oh, my God.
Heaven's forget that I would have to actually use the facility somewhere.
You're going to, what would happen if I'm gone for more than 15 minutes?
You're going to call the police?
Well, no.
I guess I, I mean, I don't know.
Filed a missing person before?
I thought you left me.
What kind of abandonment issues do you have if you think that I can't leave for 15 minutes?
Here we go.
here we go okay number one men's rooms never have lines and number two like so i left you could
have texted and then like oh my god the line is so long oh my god i could have texted i did text
what don't no no no no no no no no no no do not try to pay the day i had to like i was looking for
you all night like no you were not looking for me all night please you could have called me if
you've been worried about where i went when you got back from the bathroom you could have called me
and I would have told you, I'm in an Uber.
I thought you dish me, but you didn't do that.
You waited until, like, midday that I said.
I love how having to use the bath.
Oh, my God.
I love how you leaving is my fault.
This is ridiculous.
Do you hear this, you guys?
She's saying that because she left, it's my fault the date to end in.
I mean, to be fair, Joy, you could have called him, too.
You didn't even want to check up on me.
I was not going into the men's room.
I'm really sorry.
Well, Joy, would you like another day with Craig.
We'll pay for it.
I mean, no, I don't understand why he even called me
just to berate me on the radio.
Like, this is insane.
Oh, get out.
I think that's what happened.
Pull yourself.
What is this?
I feel like I'm talking to you an entirely different person.
We had a great date, and you're spinning it out.
This is disgusting behavior.
You know what?
I'm glad you're saying.
I don't want to.
this is ridiculous
cool great
great talk thanks for calling
you know what it's fine I don't even want to
go out with a basic like you anyway
