The Jubal Show on demand. First day follow-up. You see those names sometimes where you're not sure how to pronounce it, right? Because the spelling is confusing. And then there's those other names where you're not sure how to pronounce it because it just sounds, spelling is confusing. And then there's those other names where you're not sure how to pronounce it

because it just looks like it has to be pronounced a certain way. And there's a dude on the phone who's not getting a call back from a woman that he went on a date with. Her name is Reese, and he wants another date with her. This is the first date follow-up.

That's what we do, right? But his name, I'm not sure how to say it, okay? Because it's spelled A-S-H, right? So, Ash? Right. Yeah, I would think. But I feel like if you have a name Ash, it's going to be like, Ash. My name is Ash.

Like a Sufa dude. Kind of, yeah. I feel like only those types of dudes would be named Ash. So, Ash, what's up, dude? How are you? I'm good. How are you guys? Good.

Pretty close, honestly. Anyway, man, how long has it been since your date? It's been like a week and a half now. A week and a half, okay. And how many times have you reached out to Reese, right? That's her name, Reese? Yeah, Reese. I only actually reached out like once.

She has her reads on, so I know she saw the text. Oh, that's heartbreaking. All right, so you've been left on read, huh? When did you text her? It's been a week and a half, but did you text her the next day? No, I gave her a couple days, because I was also in the phase of, is she going to text me first?

So then, when it was a couple days, I just reached out to her. You're probably a pretty chill dude. Your name's Ash. There's no way you can not be a chill dude and be like, I'll just wait and see how it goes with a name like Ash. My personality was kind of given to me at birth. All right. Well, tell us about your date.

What'd you guys do? All right. Well, I told her that I would like surprise her with a date idea. And then I took her to this animal shelter that I work at. Oh, you're trying to do the whole like, look at me. I work at an animal shelter and I take care of sick animals. Well, yeah, I mean, I love animals and I thought, you know, that's always a nice way to show

that you're caring, so I thought that'd be a good idea. You sound like the kind of guy who later on volunteers at the old people's home. Well, I mean, yeah, I have done that before, actually, yeah. Are you going to tell us next that you're a firefighter, too? And you play guitar around campfires? Like, all the things? I do play guitar, but I you're a firefighter too and you play guitar around campfires like all the

things i do play guitar but i'm not okay i mean it's better than involuntarily picking up trash on the side of the freeway that's true yeah who a lot of people we've had a lot of first day follow-ups with someone like that and not someone who just does it out of the kindness of their heart anyway that's not an average date though to take someone on you but you seem to like it i don't know i'm not really sure i mean i thought it take someone on to you, but you seem to like it. I don't know. I'm not really sure. I mean, I thought it would be a cool way to connect with her and, like, break the ice, but I don't know.

I think there could have been worse dates, right? Like, I mean, it could have gone better, but I thought it was okay, honestly. Okay. So she's not calling you back. It's been a week and a half. Why do you think she's blowing you off? Well, I mean, I've been thinking about it and I think the only thing could be like one of the dogs did like

pee on her shoe and it wasn't a lot, but I think it might have like ruined her overall experience. Do you know she's an animal person? I mean, I thought because she's a girl that she might be, but... You assumed. Yeah. I assumed, you know, stupid, yeah.

So do you just want to find out what happened and why she's not calling you back or you do want a second date with her? No, I'll be honest. Like we, I thought we had a really good time and she was like, I mean, she was really cool. She was very easy to talk to and I told her a lot about myself. So I thought we were kind of hitting it off and I'd really just, I'd like to know what happened and if I can get another date. Okay. Question for you. Did she also tell you a lot about her?

Like a little bit. I think it was mostly me doing the talking, honestly. That could be a reason too. You think maybe because the dog peed on the shoe and then also maybe you were talking a bunch. Yeah, now you put it that way. I was like, no wonder she's not calling me back. We'll see, we'll try to figure it out for you, okay? We'll He's like, no, what? All right, well, we'll see. We'll try to figure it out for you, okay?

We'll play a song, come back, and then call her and see if the dog peeing on her shoe ruined your chances or you ruined your chances. But either way, we'll see if we can get another date, okay? and Ash wants us to call a woman named Reese that he went on a date with, and she's ghosted him. And we just talked to Ash about the date. Ash took Reese to the animal shelter that he works at. He also volunteers at an old folks home from time to time. He plays guitar. Anything else we should know about you and your charitable efforts?

No, I think you hit the nail on the head. Okay. And like I'm thinking, I can't think of the guy's name, but he's a singer. He's like a, lives on the beach, plays guitar. He's literally the guy that sits around the campfire and plays guitar. And all the women love that dude. And he lives in Hawaii. He basically just tans all day.

And I'm dying inside, though. I thought that was hilarious. Either way, let's get to the date. Ash went out with a woman named Reese. She's not calling him back. They went to the dog shelter where he works at. He thinks that he's not going to call back because a dog accidentally peed on her shoe while she was there. And also, he might have talked about himself too much

and not enough about her so we're going to get her on the phone right now and find out what one of those is the thing and if it isn't we'll find out what it is and try to get another date you ready to go i'm good to go all right here we go Hello? And we do a second on our show where if you go out on a date with someone and then end up ghosting them, that person can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened. oh well what happened oh my god I just feel like I am first of all way better than ash and he needs to

well long story short I don't know why you guys know but he needs to rethink the idea of what a date is why why do you say that I mean he told us that he guys know, but he needs to rethink the idea of what a date is. Why? Why do you say that? I mean, he told us that he took you to where he works, which was the animal shelter.

But, you know, he said that he wasn't really sure how you thought the date went, but he really liked you. So what is your take on it? Yeah, what did he tell you about the animal shelter date? Well, he said he thought you guys had fun. He thought it would be a cool thing to do, kind of different than your normal date. He thinks that the reason that you've ghosted him is because while you were there, a dog tinkled on your

toes. Peed on your shoe. Sorry about that. Tinkle toes. It wasn't me. Peed on your shoe, though. Is that why? Yeah, it was not a cool thing to do. It was a grimy animal shelter and a dog peed all over me. Are you kidding me? What kind of date?

What? You don't like that idea for a date? How is that a date? Because he's trying to be cute. Are they adopting an animal to live together now or what? They're going to bond over animals. I want to be taken out on a date like a nice date not to some shelter are you kidding me okay so that's it then you just thought that you just thought the date was bad yeah i thought the date was horrid okay okay if you if you didn't go on a date that went to an animal shelter if you guys went somewhere else do you think it could have been better of course like if i mean if someone treats me like the way i'm supposed to be treated and it's like a nice date of course i'm gonna be nice but she didn't know that though yeah it's like a first date right well just take a guess would you want i mean who wants to go to an animal shelter like a dog and be peed on i bet you there's a lot of people that would like to do that and then there's

also people that wouldn't there's people like english people that would like to do that. And then there's also people that wouldn't. There's people like English Devon who would love to go to an animal shelter. And then there's people like Alex who are like, hell no. Just like you're like, hell no. I'm a bad b**** too. So, I mean, okay, so if you didn't go to the animal shelter and you went with this dude Ash to some crazy like dinner and a movie. Crazy. Would you like that? Did you like him?

Yeah. I guess is what I'm asking. I mean, he was fine. I was just kind of distracted by the whole bad date. She's the what? Fine. So fine. Well, I don't know what else to ask you, so I'm just going to go ahead

and tell you that Ash is actually on the phone listening and would love to talk to you. Hi, Reese. Oh my God. What? I mean, wait. You didn't, it didn't seem like that big of a deal on the date.

And I genuinely thought you enjoyed your time at the shelter. Well, I mean, I did not enjoy it. And, you know, maybe next time, don't act all surprised. Like, don't surprise someone, first of all, with this, like, date. And then, like, think that you're doing them some big f***. Like, horrible thing. Like, no one's, have you tried this before like no one's gonna like it no one will ever like it no one probably ever has oh wow oh my god all right you are just like a completely different person right now as opposed to the girl i met i'm kind of shocked there and for the record that's one of my go-to first date spots and all the other women who went there had a great time.

Yeah, well, I think guess what? I'm not them. I'm a bad bitch. Just deal with it. Wow. Great. Well, I have no desire for another date now. Well, no.
