First date follow-up. Stephanie is on the phone today for. First date follow-up. Stephanie is on the phone today for a first date follow-up, and she's not getting a call back from a dude named Baker.
Starting point is 00:01:51 I wonder if he's actually a baker. That would be cool. That really would be. That would be amazing. Stephanie, before we get a hold of him to see why he's not calling you back after your date, is he a baker? I mean, I think he might be good at cooking i i don't think we really touched on baking is this is he baked for a living though is baking his profession no okay dang it
Starting point is 00:02:13 all right well you're not getting a call back from this guy and you guys went on a date how long has it been since your date um i would say it's been like a couple of weeks now a couple weeks okay and how many times have you tried to reach out to him since your date? At least three times. Not trying to like, you know, bombard him, but I've at least stretched out those three times. Did he respond at all? Nothing? No, I got nothing.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Nothing back at all. Well, tell us about the date first. What did you guys do? Well, the date was amazing. It was so much fun. We went out, we got pizza and then there was like this little arcade type thing inside. I don't know if it's like a well-known pizza shop or whatever, but it was, it was really cool. We played a bunch of different arcade games, won different stuffed animals and prizes. And like, I don't know. It was really fun.
Starting point is 00:03:05 We had a great conversation before then. We did some playing, and then we had a great conversation after. Like, it was wonderful. And do you think he had the same kind of fun as you? I mean, I thought so. I thought we were having a great time. I mean, we did a lot of laughing, and he was, like, joking around with me because I'm a little competitive. yeah so I
Starting point is 00:03:26 don't know I don't think anything went bad for him to not talk to me anymore okay so was there any awkward point during the night that you can remember as to why he might not be calling you back um I don't know I mean the only thing I can think of is maybe like my competitiveness was maybe a little strong. I try to not go overboard, but I can be a little aggressive and potty mouth. Do you throw a drink on him or something if he beat you at a game? No, nothing crazy like that. But I did kind of like yell and berate him a little bit when I won. Berate him a little bit? I want to berate him a little bit i mean it was in a fun way like i was joking like oh you thought you could beat me and you know just stuff
Starting point is 00:04:14 like that like full-on playing around i don't know maybe it embarrassed him or something okay but there wasn't like an awkward time in the night like where you notice his vibe changed or anything like that. I mean, I guess you could say it kind of got a little quieter after that. I don't know. Not that I'm thinking about it. I don't know. Maybe he thinks I was being really mean to him and he didn't get that I was just playing around. I don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:42 All right. Well, if you were being mean to him and making and berating him after beating you at um random bar games then i could imagine that that would be a reason to not call somebody back how did everything end um well we said goodbye and that it was a lot of fun and he just said he would call me later and yeah and then I guess that was it. Just a hug goodbye. Just a hug. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:08 A kiss. Yeah, I normally not kiss her on the first date, but you know. Okay, well, we'll play a song, come back, and then we'll call him and get your first date follow-up, okay? Okay. All right, we'll do it next. It's the Jubal Show. In the middle of your first date follow-up, if you're just joining us, Stephanie is on
Starting point is 00:05:23 the phone, and she wants us to call a dude named Baker. They went out to a bar. They had a bunch of fun, played a bunch of games, and now she's not getting a call back, and she doesn't know why. It's been a few weeks. She's reached out to him a couple times. The only reason that she can think of that she's not getting a call back is because she gets a little competitive, and
Starting point is 00:05:39 in her words, there was a moment where she felt like she might have been berating him. That's never good on a first date. Never good to do on a first date. Yeah, just a casual berating on a first date, you know. And she thinks that's the reason she's not getting a call back. So we're about to get him on the phone and see if that is the reason. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Hello? Hello? Hi, may I speak to Baker, please? Yeah. This is the Jubal Show. My name's Jubal. It's a radio show. My name is Alex. And I'm Christian.
Starting point is 00:06:16 And yes, it's a radio show. And your name is Baker, and we'd like to speak with you. Hello? Baker? He hung up. Right away. What? He hung up.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Do you think, okay, maybe it dropped. Maybe he didn't hang up on us. It sounded like he was driving or something. Yeah, maybe it dropped out. Stephanie, yeah, we'll try him back again and see. I can't tell if he hung up or not. Hello? Hi, may I speak to Baker, please?
Starting point is 00:06:55 Uh, who? Baker? Oh, yeah, Baker. Baker's not here. Um, okay, Baker's not here. Okay, we just called this number, and then a dude named Baker answered it, and then it sounded like his phone. Yeah, no, yeah, no, yeah. Yeah, no, yeah, no, yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:07:16 That was the wrong number. This sounds like the guy we just talked to, though. No, it doesn't. No? No. Yeah, that's the wrong number yeah sorry though you sure you dialed the right number okay maybe not here i'll try it back okay well sorry about that man oh yeah no problem okay sorry you dialed the wrong number sorry stephanie i must have
Starting point is 00:07:35 dialed the wrong number okay all right here we go i'll try back hello can i uh hi can i speak to baker please oh yeah no this is uh the queen's tea and crumpet shop what the hell is going on what are y'all messing with me is this queen's tea and crumpet shop would you like to place an order i'd like to speak to baker and i'm pretty sure that i What the hell is going on? Are y'all messing with me? Is this... It's Queen's Tea and Crumpet Shop. Would you like to place an order? I'd like to speak to Baker, and I'm pretty sure that I dialed the right number. I dialed the number... Now three times. Yeah, I dialed the number we called a few minutes ago where a dude named Baker answered, and it sounded like he hung up, and now I'm talking to you.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Who is this? No, yeah. So you say you'd like a baker. Yeah, we have a baker in the kitchen there. He fixes our crumpets and he also fixes our bangers and mash. Can I place an order for you? No. My name's William
Starting point is 00:08:31 at the Queen's Tea and Crumpets shop. Have you ever had tea and crumpets? You guys, that's him. That's him. He was doing this accent on our date. He was doing that. Baker. He was doing that. That's Baker. Baker. Baker, stop it. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:08:49 No. Yes, hello. This is William at the Queen's Tea and Crumpet Shop. I have a baker in the kitchen fixing bangers and mash. He's fixing crumpets. He's fixing... So you'd like me to put the baker on the phone for you no we would just like to talk regular
Starting point is 00:09:11 yeah we'd like to talk to baker about the date he went on with Stephanie who's on the phone because he's not calling her back if you could please put baker on the phone so we're saying the same thing you're saying baker I need to have a baker right so here's the deal um you can door dash us we're saying the same thing. You're saying, you might not want to date this dude. Multiple personalities.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Right. So here's the deal. Um, you can door dash us if you are interested. Yeah. Have you ever had somebody just blatantly mess with you? What is going on? Come on, stop.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Like you did this on our date. It's Stephanie. Like you showed me this whole accent thing. Stop, stop doing this just can you at least just tell me like why you haven't called me back or anything yeah right so i take offense you're saying that it's an accent right obviously i was born in oxford shire so yeah okay i'm a ms guy what are you doing what doing? Well, I know what you're not doing.
Starting point is 00:10:06 You're not ordering tea and crumpets. So I also know what you're not doing. You're not getting an answer out of me with Stephanie. So how about you go f*** yourself. Go call me. Okay, bye. What? Whoa.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Stephanie, what did you do? What was that? What is the word that I can't say on the radio? Yourself? Oh, no, the word before yourself. Yeah. What? Okay, should we try? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Okay. At first I thought he was just weird. Now he sounded like he just didn't want to talk. He was messing with us. He knew the show was messing with us and obviously doesn't want to go out with you, Stephanie. Yeah. I have no idea what that was either. So I guess, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:48 That's fine with me now. That's crazy. I'm going to dial his number one more time and see if we can just get an answer out of him, okay? Okay. Alright. We'll see if he answers. Why are we putting ourselves through this? I have no idea. That was just the weirdest thing that I think
Starting point is 00:11:04 has ever happened to me. Oh, yeah. I'm still not getting the answer out of me. If it was about Stephanie, nope. Baker, stop. Can you please just tell us why you're not calling Stephanie back? I don't know. How about you ask Stephanie?
Starting point is 00:11:18 How about you ask Stephanie about her probably mentioning making me feel bad and talking about things that shouldn't be talked about on first dates. How about that? You know, if you want to know the reason why I'm not calling her back. How about you specifically go ask Stephanie about her small penis. All right. Bye.
Starting point is 00:11:35 What? Oh, my God. What's happening? Stephanie. Oh, yeah. I think I did say that to him. What is wrong? Wasn't that what? Oh, yeah. I think I did say that to him. What? What is wrong with you?
Starting point is 00:11:50 That was nicely. What is wrong with you? The Jubal Show on demand. Hey, everyone. It's Katie Couric.
