Very. And Eric is on the phone for a first date follow up. That's a mistake he might have made because now he's not getting a call back from a woman he went on a date with. Her name is Maggie. He said he liked her a lot and he can't figure out why she's not calling her call back from a woman he went on a date with. Her name is Maggie. of the pizza debate. I don't know. We'll find out more about that in just a second. Eric, thanks for your email. Thanks for agreeing to do a first date follow-up. Before we get into your date,

tell us how long has it been since you talked to Maggie? Yeah, it's been five days since our date and I just don't know what's going on. You think it's five days? Are you sure and I just don't know what's going on. You think it's five days? Are you sure she's ghosting you, or she's just taking a while to get back to you?

Well, I thought it was taking a while to get back, but then after one or two days, I got suspicious. And since then, it's just been worse. How many times have you tried to get a hold of her? Quite a few. I texted the first time and then on the second day and then on the third day it's just nothing that's been going through. Okay, so she hasn't talked to you since

your date. It's been five days. That's obvious that she's stopped talking to you unless she has an excuse. I don't know. She randomly went out of town. Or isn't alive. I was going to say died. Her boyfriend married. So before we get into why you think she's not calling you back, tell us a little bit about the date. Yeah. We met at a house party in college about four years ago. And I remember we clicked and it was great. Uh, then I met her on, I found her Instagram

and I DM'd her. And, uh, so to my surprise, she actually remembered me. So you met her at a party a few years ago, and you've been wanting to ask her out for that long? Yeah, so I've been thinking about her for four years. And I dated this other girl in the meantime. We broke up, and I just couldn't stop thinking about her. So I took the plunge. Wow, it sounds like she could be the one.

I really want her to be the one, but sure doesn't look like it now. Unfortunately. I'm guessing you guys, did you actually go out on a date or have you only been talking on Instagram and text message? Uh, we did actually end up going on a date. Okay. Uh, we went to, went out to get pizza. Well, how was getting pizza with her? She was amazing. Easy to talk to. She was pretty learned. We learned about her family. She actually surprised me because she remembered me from all those years ago. And she said she liked the look of me. So that's why she said yes. And the date went great. Um, why do you think you're not getting a call back? I don't know.

We, uh, we kissed at the end, uh, which I felt was a good thing. Uh, we drove away in separate cars, so we didn't get a chance to go to anybody, any of our places. I mean, I'm this type of person, but maybe we, it's, I got pineapple on my pizza. Ooh, I'm a pineapple on my pizza kind of girl. Yeah, me too. It's delicious. It's a very hot debate, so.

Yeah, some people hate it. Does she not like it? She did not get pineapple on her half, so. She took the other side, though. She doesn't like pineapple on pizza, you do. Yeah. Yin-yang. Oh, all right, yeah.

Maybe, you know, opposites sometimes compliment each other. They attract. Or did you, did you call her names because of it? That might be a turnoff. Uh, I made sure to not call her many names. Okay. Right. Well, I mean, you guys kissed after the date.

So, I mean, it probably wasn't the pizza then, unless you kissed before you got pizza, which would be weird because you said the kiss was at the end of your date. So if I'm following along with your timeline correctly, I don't think it'd be the pizza. No, well, unless there was like pineapple taste in my mouth and she got a whiff of that. Oh, maybe.

She hates the sugary taste. Yeah, I can't tell what's going on. And then, like I said, five days later, she hasn't texted me. Okay. And other than getting pineapple on your pizza, there's nothing you can think of? Not to my knowledge.

I think everything went great. Well, let's figure out why she's not calling you back. Yeah, we'll play a song, and we'll come back and we'll call her and see if we can figure out what the deal is. Okay? Thank you. We'll get your first date follow-up right after this.

It's where if we go out on a date with someone and then end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and figure out why. So that's why we're calling. Oh, okay. Have you gone out on any dates recently with anybody?

I don't think so. Oh, okay. Weird. Well, we got an email, I think about you, from a guy named Eric. He said he went out with Maggie and he met you in college a few years ago and decided to finally DM you and then you guys went out for pizza. Is this the wrong Maggie? No.

Okay. Yeah. I guess, I mean, I guess that was a date. You guess. I mean, it felt super like, you know, casual and. We talked to him, right? Cause he emailed us and told us that you guys went on a date, even though it sounds like you don't think it was a date. And he said he had a great time and he's wondering why you're not getting back to him. He's trying to text and call you a few times after. He also said that at the end of the night, you guys kissed. Do you do that with just everybody you go to pizza with, or do you do that on dates? Yeah, I don't know.

I mean, to be honest, I just felt like I just did it. Like, there was, like, no reason behind it. I was just like, well, poor guy. You're a friend kisser? Oh. I don't know. I just felt like, well, poor guy. You're a friend kisser? Oh. I don't know. I just felt like, yeah, I'll give him, I'll throw him a bone. Pity tongue.

Really? Ugh, pity tongue. Yeah. Okay. Was it a date or not? I mean, in my mind, it wasn't. Okay. The whole thing, he was pretty, he was really sweet, but it was like, it was kind of awkward.

And I kind of just thought it was a catch up. And there's this guy that he knows that I know from college. And I thought that, I mean, he's this guy I've had a crush on for six years. And I just got out of a relationship. And whenever he DM me I was like oh maybe he's still friends with Oliver and so maybe we could like connect that way but then I found out he's not friends with him anymore so I kind of just was like you know okay okay kind of using Eric to get to Oliver yeah

and I mean it was free pizza so well that's never Yeah. And I mean, it was free pizza. So, well, that's never a bad thing. I mean, yeah, I felt kind of bad about kissing him, but I was really there to find out about his friends and if he still knew Oliver and he doesn't.

Yeah. And now I guess I'll be honest with you and let you know that Eric is actually listening and wants to talk to you hey Maggie hi I can't believe this is that that was the whole point is to try and get up and get with

Ollie yeah this is really awkward i'm sorry i hope i don't know so you heard everything that i just said yeah i mean you just used it to get to ollie oh i didn't well i didn't really use you i thought we were just kind of like you know chilling hanging out i didn't think it was like that deep you said you like the look of me and you remembered me from all those years ago that was a lie it wasn't a lie i do i think yeah like you look good after all these years like you're you know aged well i was really looking forward to hanging out more with you and more dates but this it just sucks. I'm sorry.

Well, he's got herpes, you know. What? Wait, what? Yeah. My friend Oliver that you wanted to date, he's got herpes, so that's something you know now. Well, she can just because he has herpes doesn't mean anything. She can still date him, yeah. I mean, I love how you just drew up that

in there. Yeah. Does he actually or are you just trying to bad mouth him now? Yeah, he does. He told me about it. It was a thing he told me in confidence but I don't care anymore.

We're not friends anymore. Aww. I can just tell it. Okay, come on. Now you're just like throwing him under the bus because I didn't want to date you.

Well, it also hurts that I was used to get to a friend. You didn't think of what I felt. Yeah, sorry. I don't know. Well, it sounds like this is going well, so I'll just ask the question right now. Maggie, would you like to go on another date with Eric? We'll pay for it.
