Now, we hear a lot of stories where people meet, right, for these first date follow-ups,
and they meet at the typical places
a lot of times on the apps,
you know, maybe in a coffee shop.
But this one's a weird one.
We've never had anybody email us
for a first date follow-up
that met in county jail.
County jail?
Right.
We've never had that before.
We go to Grief of Criminals?
No.
We don't have that right now either.
I was just thinking about it.
I was like, you know what?
We've never had anybody meet at County Jail.
We've never gotten a meal being like, hey, I met this person at County Jail.
There's a lot of knots that we've gotten.
We went on a date and now they're not calling me back.
I don't know.
Did they get arrested again?
I'm not sure.
But that's not what this is about.
They did meet at a weird place, though.
They met on Reddit.
The guy's name is Beckett.
He's on the phone right now.
And I guess he's not getting a call back from Carrie.
So Beckett, what's up?
Beckett's on Reddit.
Beckett, yeah. I the phone right now, and I guess he's not getting a call back from Carrie. So Beckett, what's up? Beckett's on Reddit. Beckett, yeah.
I don't even get it.
Me and her have been talking for about six months.
It was just pure, pure love, pure fun, really innocent.
It was beautiful.
I know you want to get to the calling.
Carrie, right?
Her name, yeah.
But first, let's talk about just meeting her on Reddit.
How did that happen?
I mean, just met her on Reddit.
I liked her comment.
She liked mine back.
Damn.
And then started flirting from there to Reddit.
And how long have you guys talked?
Like about six months.
Yeah, that's a long, very long time.
Yeah, why so long?
I don't know.
I just didn't know if I was being catfished or not
right okay so you talked for a while you finally went through the process and made sure that it was
someone named carrie that you wanted to go out with and now they're not calling you back why
do you think what'd you do on your date i mean what didn't i do we had a great dinner she ordered
steak i ordered pasta with crab and lobster.
We had a beautiful chat.
Same energy as our
six months of just chatting online.
Well, how long has it been since your guys' date?
It's been two weeks.
You're definitely being ghosted
then. Yeah, it's a long time.
So you can't actually think of anything that
went wrong on the date, you know, that you did
or maybe she didn't like.
I mean, after that, after the dinner, we weren't, you know, we obviously hooked up in a hotel room, but it wasn't even like, like in a weird sort of way.
It was very romantic and very beautiful.
I don't know what, what I could have done wrong.
I felt like I had a good time and she had a good time.
It's kind of weird now that after two weeks,
she's just going through.
Wait, so you guys actually hooked up on your first date?
Yeah, no, we planned it out, you know,
because we both have roommates.
So I figured why not just book a hotel room for one night,
do something kind of nicer, you know, a little more fancy.
And we just had a really nice hookup.
Okay, well, why do you think she's not calling you back then?
I mean, I don't want to think it's because of whatever happened in the hotel room,
but you know how ladies can get.
How ladies can get.
Maybe she was like faking it or like telling me that she had a good time,
but then she really didn't, I guess.
And that might explain the ghost.
I don't know.
I've never had anybody fake it, so I have no idea
what you're talking about. Amazing. Never.
And guys, I pulled
out all the stuff.
I went with it, you know?
You pulled out all the stuff.
Stuff? What stuff?
All the lubes and
duffel bag full of things?
All the moves. All the moves. and toys? A duffel bag full of things? All the moves.
All the moves.
Like your favorite moves?
Or moves that she might like.
No, it was good.
I went the extra mile.
I made sure I did a good job,
and it was a night she would remember.
Okay.
Maybe she wasn't ready for a full Beckett.
Maybe that's the problem.
Maybe she needed a half Beckett.
You know what I mean?
And I don't mean literally. I mean just like she needed a half Beckett. You know what I mean? Like, and I don't mean literally,
I mean,
just like maybe you,
maybe you were a little overboard,
you know,
maybe.
Maybe it was so good.
She was overwhelmed and needs a couple more days and then she'll get back.
Yeah.
That's,
that might be,
that might be,
could definitely be the problem.
She feels embarrassed cause she's like not up to your level.
Yeah.
Well,
I could teach her whatever,
but I just really want to know why she's not getting back to me.
Yeah.
Me too.
Uh,
play a song,
come back and then we'll call her and see if we can figure it out for you
with your first date followup.
Okay.
All right,
guys.
Thank you.
Hang on.
I'm going to do it next.
It's a Jubal show.
You're just joining us for today's first date followup.
Beckett is on the phone because he's not getting a call back from
a woman named Carrie. And if you didn't know who Beckett
is, I'm surprised you don't because Beckett
is quite the
lover, according
to him. Bit of a stallion. He met
Carrie on Reddit. They talked for
about six months before they finally met up,
had dinner, went to a hotel,
and Beckett
did his thang. Oh, yeah. He got it. hotel, and Beckett did his thing.
Oh, yeah.
He got it.
Put it down Beckett style.
And he's pretty convinced that she had a good time,
although she's not calling him back and it's been two weeks now,
so Beckett has no idea why.
And we're going to try to figure it out for him.
All right, Beckett, you ready to give her a call?
Let's do it.
All right. to give her a call? Let's do it. Alright.
Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Carrie, please?
Hi, this is Carrie.
Hi, Carrie. How are you?
I'm doing well. How are you?
I'm doing well as well.
Thank you for asking.
Had, did you go on a date with a guy named Beckett?
I did.
Yes, I did.
Okay.
Okay.
How do you know that?
Who is this?
Hey, how are you?
This is Jubal from the Jubal Show.
This is Alex Fresh from the Jubal Show.
And this is English Evan from the Jubal Show.
And the Jubal Show is a radio show
that consists of the people that you just met.
Am I on the
radio? Yes.
You are. You should be more excited about
that. We were confused. Yes, you are.
You know Beckett?
Not as well as you know
Beckett.
Okay, I'll just
get to the point, Carrie.
We do a segment on our show called The First Date Follow-Up.
It's where if you go out on a date with someone and then end up not calling them back,
they can email us to get you on the phone and find out what happened. And Beckett emailed us because he said that you guys met on Reddit about six months ago,
and then you enjoyed dinner together, and then you enjoyed Beckett together at a hotel room.
And he's wondering why you're not calling him back.
And it's been two weeks.
Yeah.
Um, I mean, okay.
So when we met on Reddit and we were talking, it was, it was nice.
He seemed like a super nice guy and we had a lot in common.
And like, I mean, we, we were like kind of dating. I mean, we hadn't like, we weren't like exclusive, but we had kind lot in common and like i mean we we were like kind of dating i mean we hadn't
like we weren't like exclusive but we had kind of it felt like we were in a relationship you know
all these like intimate messages for like six months yeah that's a really long time to be
talking to someone yeah yeah and so in person he really um he is not uh he's pretty easy to read
but over the internet i, it was like different.
I mean, he was like, I don't know, seemed super just like emotionally aware and open and like just kind of a different thing for, I mean, six months.
So when we met up, I was like a little taken aback by his, I guess, like demeanor.
But I was still like, okay, he's still like, you know, a nice guy.
And dinner was great.
What do you mean you were taken aback by his demeanor?
I was like shocked by like this guy's like emotional intelligence, right?
Oh.
We meet up and like pretty quickly I was like, huh.
I was like, okay, Beckett, interesting.
Online he seemed like really deep deep and we had this like
crazy connection. And I was like, he's pretty much my boyfriend. I felt like I really knew this guy.
He was super cute. And, um, you know, I was like, okay, well, let's keep, keep this going. going and so we we had a hotel room and um that's where things really went south that's oh it was
what happened there it was not good you guys it was not what was not good what has down their
region no he was so obsessed with himself he was like looking in the mirror and obsessed with himself while you guys were doing stuff?
He was just like really checking himself out.
And then when it was happening with, you know, it was happening.
We had a full length mirror in the room and he was like really focused on just trying to watch in the mirror.
And I was like, that was off-putting.
But then he asked me if he could film it.
Oh, hell no.
On the first date.
No way.
That's definitely not a first date thing.
And the way that he was talking to me
and treating me was very,
I mean, it was just not a real human connection at all.
It was super put on. He was obsessed with himself and he was treating me like I mean, it was just not a real human connection at all. It was super put on.
He was obsessed with himself and he was treating me like I was, you know, super objectified,
just like a girl in one of those, you know.
So he's just seen, he's seen one too many adult videos.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it was just like super, like the way he was treating me, I was like, oh, and it was
so sad because online he seemed like a super like the way he was treating me i was like oh and it was so sad because online he
seemed like a super like deep respectful guy and dinner was was totally fine he seemed like
shakespeare online and then ron jeremy in person yeah basically and it was oh it was just such a
turn off like i i don't want to see him again.
All right.
Well, Beckett had a different experience.
He thought that you really liked him and you really liked that moment that you guys shared together.
I don't know how long the moment was, but he said that you really liked it and he was confused.
Well, thank you for telling us the truth.
And now I have to tell you something.
Beckett is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.
Like, he's on the phone right now
he's been listening to this
he has
Carrie I got an Oscar for you
what?
I got an Oscar award for you
for best actress because
why didn't you communicate all these things
that you told them to me
why were you acting like it like
you liked everything i look you know what i just kind of wanted it to be over with it got really
weird and the way that you were like trying to film it and the mirrors yeah the filming is really
weird yeah there is is really weird Just wanted to keep it for memories.
Usually you do that with someone that you've been together with for a while, though.
Well, I wanted her to have a night that she'll remember, and I wanted to remember it, too,
forever.
But that is so weird.
And it wasn't even just that.
I mean, that was, honestly, dude, that was kind of creepy and weird.
But then it was just the way that you were so obsessed with yourself. You weren't focused on me, like, that was kind of creepy and weird. But then it was just, like, the way that you were, like, so obsessed with yourself.
You weren't focused on me, like, zero.
If I'm being totally honest with you, zero.
You know what?
I don't want to deal with this bullshit anymore.
You look like a slut.
You dress like a slut.
What?
And I treated you like a slut.
Okay?
Okay.
Beckett.
No way.
Yeah, dude.
I'm done.
Bye. Bye. And ciao. Okay, I can tell you want to hang up, so hang up. You suck, Beckett no way yeah dude I'm done you pull up bye bye
and ciao
okay I can tell
you want to hang up
so hang up
you suck Beckett
yeah you wanted it
okay
Beckett's
Beckett's officially gone
Carrie are you still there
oh my god
no I'm
you know what
I'm honestly
I already had a feeling
like obviously
the way that things went
it was
it was terrible
like
and so that's why I stopped
talking to him and I'm actually glad that you guys called me because now I have confirmation
that he is just the worst that's scary just be clear from him well I still have to it's still
a first date follow-up so I have to do this anyway would you like to go on another date
with Beckett we will pay for it. Never, ever in a million years. All right. Good.
