First day follow-up. Heath is on the phone today for a first day follow-up. He's not getting a call back from a woman named Kelly.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I guess they met at a Deadmau5 concert. And now, his hopes of getting a call back, also dead. That was sad. Sorry about that, Heath. Heath, what's up, man? What's going on? Not much. So, you met Kelly at a Deadmau5 concert. What's up, man? What's going on? Not much. So you met Kelly at a Deadmau5 concert.
Starting point is 00:02:08 That's what your email said. Yeah, we just kind of bumped into each other, and we're waiting in the drink line together, and we kind of hit it off. We had a good time. All right, sweet. So how long has it been since you met her? The concert was last week, so it's been uh another week another week and a
Starting point is 00:02:26 half and how many times have you tried to reach out to her in that week and a half uh well uh i i haven't been able to uh because i gave her my number and i haven't heard back from her since it's weird because i thought we had a real good time we uh we were we were chatting while we were in line and then we just kind kind of spent the rest of the show just hanging out together. We were in the back of the show. We were making out. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Yeah. Someone gave us some molly. We had a lot of comments. Oh, all right. We both went to the same shows in the same places back when, but we really hit it off. We had a great conversation even before the Molly kicked in. We were having a great time. Okay. Uh, I,
Starting point is 00:03:12 I gave her my number and you know, we were still kind of messed up a little bit, but, uh, we were just really, we really connected. Uh, and I'm going, my God, I, I really liked this girl. This, I can't wait to talk to her again. I can't wait. This is definitely going to happen. And I left, I was psyched and I haven't heard anything since. Okay. Well, if you don't have her number, how are we supposed to call her and see if we can get you a date? So she gave me her name and I was able to kind of like look her up a little bit and I found a number for her.
Starting point is 00:03:49 But again, I really don't want to be the stalker guy. Like I know where she works, but I don't want to call her at work and bother her there. So you want us to call her. It's much better if someone else does it for me, yeah. Okay. Yeah. All right. So we're going to call her at her office then or wherever she works.
Starting point is 00:04:12 That's the number that you gave our producer. That's the one, yeah. Okay. I mean, I think the only reason that she's not getting back to me is because we were both feeling it. We were both a little tripped up. Maybe she just said, I don't know what I was thinking, what the hell did I do? I don't know. Again, I just think we were both having a great time.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Hey, it's been, maybe she hit you with one of those, like girls do this all the time, like, yeah, what's your number? But they don't even put it in their phone. They're just being nice i've gotten that but uh i didn't feel that i i felt uh i felt like we really really connected all we really know about her is you met her at the dead mouse concert you guys hung out um you partied a bunch she made out a little bit you gave her your number and she didn't give you hers but you looked up where she works, and we have her work number.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Yeah. And now we got to call her at work. Sounds like a recipe for success. Let's do it. Oh, yeah. As weird as that is, yeah. All right. Well, I mean, obviously, you liked her a lot.
Starting point is 00:05:17 It's one of those things where you met someone, and it could have been one of those things where you're just like, yeah, that was just last night, and then let it go, but you obviously haven't been thinking about her. No, I really liked her. I really thought that she was a great girl. I would love to get a hold of her again. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Well, let's try it. Let's play a song, come back, and then we will call her wherever she works and see if she's at her desk or working the front desk. I don't know where she works, so we'll see if she answers the phone and then see if we can find out why she's not calling you back and get you another date okay yeah we'll get your first day follow-up next if you're just joining us for today's first day
Starting point is 00:05:51 follow-up heath is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by kelly they met at a dead mouse concert and they partied all night they made out heath gave her he gave her his phone number he didn't get her number and now she's not calling him back. He has no idea why, and he didn't know how to get a hold of her to find out why until he... What did you do, Heath? Did you just Google her name and find out where she worked? Yeah. LinkedIn is a crazy tool.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Oh, okay. It's for pretty much everybody. All right. So you found her on LinkedIn, and so we're going to call her at her office right now and see if she answers and then see if we can figure out why you're getting ghosted and maybe get you another date. Okay. I love it.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, man. Here we go. All right. I'm a dollar phone number right now. Kelly. It*** agency.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Hi, Kelly. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Not too bad. I'm calling because you attended a Deadmau5 concert a little while ago, a week or so ago. Yeah, yeah, I did. Yeah, I'm calling from the venue, and did you have any of the concessions that night? Yeah, I think I went to get a few drinks and stuff. Did you partake in any of the hot dogs?
Starting point is 00:07:17 I honestly, I can't remember, probably. I don't know. The night was, it was a long night. Okay. Hey, this is actually the Jubal Show. It's a radio show. My name's Jubal. And mine's Alex. I'm Christianian gray snow hello i'm bennett and i don't i don't think there's anything wrong with the hot dogs if you had them at that concert you went to but we do know
Starting point is 00:07:33 that you met a dude named heath at that concert and we do a segment on our show called the first day follow-up it's where if you go out on a date with someone and then end up ghosting them they can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. So Heath actually asked us to call you. Oh, yeah, weird. Yeah, no, I remember Heath. We actually met in, I think, the drink line that night. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:00 He told us a little bit about when you guys met and said that he really liked you. He also said that you got his number. He didn't get yours. He said no way to get a hold of you. And he thinks you're ghosting him. He doesn't know why. Yeah. So the ghosting thing is actually a little bit of my fault.
Starting point is 00:08:19 So, you know, work's just been really crazy. My life sort of been taken over by emails, phone calls, meetings, you know. So I read that like people are doing this thing where they leave their phones at home or in their glove compartment in their cars, just, you know, not to be distracted. So, you know, we were both a little feeling pretty great that night and not really in a state to drive. So, you know, we both went for a walk that night and we were away from the car. So I didn't really have my phone. Yeah, but you got his number, right? Um, I did. I just, again, I've been really busy with work. I didn't, I, I sort of, I guess I forgot. It wasn't really intentional. Can I, can I, um, give you my, just my thoughts on how things sound right now to me? Sure. It sounds like you are
Starting point is 00:09:07 trying to blow them off, but you're trying to be nice to me. No, no. I mean, I'm not. I really have been busy. It wasn't my intention to blow them off. You don't blow them off. I mean,
Starting point is 00:09:24 maybe. I feel like you can just make a decision. Are you into him or not? It doesn't sound like you. It sounds like you are trying to not go out with him. Yeah. We're the ones you don't have to lie to. You can be honest with us.
Starting point is 00:09:38 It sounds like you probably were like, yeah, I'll take your number just to never hit him up again. That was the point, huh? Like, you don't have to be nice right now. You can just tell him. Yeah. Okay. I mean, yeah, this is very weird for me. I mean, like, I'm at work right now.
Starting point is 00:09:52 You guys called me at work. So a little caught off guard again. Yeah, I don't think I'm very interested in going on a date with him. It was a fun night. We clicked, but I don't really know that there's anything past that. Kelly, yeah, it took you a while to get there. So is that why you just didn't call him? Because didn't want to have to have that whole conversation yeah i mean i want to but then also like i'm just super busy and then um yeah yeah and i guess i didn't expect him to call a radio show to call me at my job
Starting point is 00:10:18 right fair point and i should also let you know that actually Keith is on the phone listening and wants to talk to you. Yeah, hey, I'm really sorry about this. I just didn't have a way to get a hold of you. And I was really afraid that I wasn't going to get a chance to talk to you, not on the radio. But here we are. So you had someone call me at work instead of you just calling me at work? You had a radio show call me at work? I just thought we had a really good time,
Starting point is 00:10:50 and I was desperate to find any way to get a hold of you again. I didn't know what else to do. Yeah, I mean, like, listen, to be honest, I think we had a great time too. We were both a little, you know, we were feeling great that night. I don't really think I'm interested in doing anything, but I definitely would suggest next time you want to talk to a little, you know, we were feeling great that night. I don't really think I'm interested in doing anything, but I definitely would suggest next time you want to talk to a girl that you just contact them yourself. This is definitely the weirdest way I've ever been reached out to for a date.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Aw, he was just trying. Girl, you could just say you're not interested from the beginning. Or that. How about that? You're the one that sent him on the goose chase. I was trying to be nice. Yeah. How did you guys get my number again?
Starting point is 00:11:32 Well, Heath found it. Yeah. I did a little digging. I found you on LinkedIn and I was able to just find your work there, but I didn't want to call you and bother you there. So he added up to it. So you found my work number on LinkedIn? Yeah, it was there. I thought what were the chances that it would be somebody else,
Starting point is 00:11:55 but, well, it worked. Yeah, thanks for reminding me that I need to go deactivate that. Oh, girl. Yeah, I didn't call you. I didn't text you. So obviously I wasn't really interested in seeing you again. So please just don't reach out to me again, especially not at my workplace. Well, then I guess I'll just ask you, Kelly, if I can ask you if you have a second.
Starting point is 00:12:19 I know you're at work. Would you like to go out with Heath on another date? We'll pay for it. No, no, i really would not okay well um thank you for your time we'll let you get back to work i appreciate it though yeah thank you all right well she's back to work heath i'm sorry man um no i mean i i i kind of feel like an ass i really thought we i really thought we connected. You tried, man. Hey, look.
Starting point is 00:12:46 I guess I was a little more out of my mind than I thought. I thought we were having a good time. I thought it would work. Well, you shot your shot. No, it's cool. It was probably a bad idea. Oh, wait. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Hang on. What? I'm looking at her LinkedIn right now, and I think I see why she might not want to go out with me. Why? She's got a big old flashy ring on her finger there. Oh. Oh. Like a wedding ring?
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yeah. Maybe it's an old pic. Yeah. She did say she hasn't updated the page in a while. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, looks like I dodged a bullet there. Thanks, guys.
