First date follow-up.
Aiden is on the phone today for a first date follow-up,
and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Marissa
Aiden, how are you?
Well, confused
What'd you do?
What did you do Aiden?
What did you do?
I don't know, it's a good question
That's why I'm calling you guys, the experts
I guess that's why you're calling, yeah, good point
Trying to figure it out
I love being called an expert
Before we get into your date and what you think went wrong, and before we call Marissa
and find out why she's ghosting you, how long has it been since your date?
Two weeks, maybe.
Yeah, about two weeks.
How many times have you tried to reach out to her in that two weeks?
A couple times.
You know, not like crazy obsessive or anything like that, but like, I don't know, like maybe
four times, three, four, four times probably.
And she didn't respond at all?
Not even anything.
I liked one of her things on social media even. four times three four four times probably and she didn't respond at all not even anything i liked
one of her things on social media even that's another thing and she was just it's just like
total ghost town here well what do you think happened tell us about your date first well so
i met her in line at the grocery store and it's kind of unlike me but i was just she's gorgeous
and i was just like you know i'm just gonna it. So we started talking and I asked her out for drinks and she said, yeah.
During the time that we're hanging out, I really felt like she was kind of getting drunk, you know, and which is, you know, it's cool and everything.
But then it was like, I think what happened is I said, oh, you seem like you're getting a little drunk there.
And I think she got
kind of pissed.
And it was really
clear because after the date, she was
like, insisted, like, we get different Ubers.
And it was just no kiss.
Just, all right, see ya.
Bye. And like, stumbled into the Uber
and I was like, okay.
And I really like her. You know, she's funny. She, okay. And I really like her.
She's funny.
She's hilarious.
And I don't mind.
Everyone gets a little... Then why does it matter?
Why did you say something to her?
Well, because I was kind of being sort of...
I thought I was being funny.
Yeah, okay.
And also, on top of that, she was kind of drunk.
Does that make sense?
Look, I've said things like that to try to be funny.
And it's taken like I'm either being critical or pointing out something to make fun of somebody when I'm just like, you're a little drunk, huh?
And what I mean is I've been there in my life.
That's funny.
Let's have some jokes and laugh while you're drunk.
You know, that's what I mean.
But I can see how somebody, if they are feeling like they shouldn't be getting drunk on a first date, how they could think maybe the other way.
Or they could even think like you think it's unattractive and you're like, I can't believe you're drunk on a first date, you know?
It's just all the way they take it.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what it seemed like.
It seemed like she was like sensitive about it
or something, you know?
And I was really just like, whatever, man, you know?
She hasn't talked to you since then.
No.
And was that the time in the night
where it started getting awkward after that?
Do you think it could be something else that you said
or something that happened?
No, we hung out for a little bit longer. She was just sort of like, I gotta go. And I was
like, okay. I thought we were going to hang out longer, but like, it's totally cool. And maybe
because she thought like she didn't want anything to happen when she was in that state. But the
thing that doesn't make sense to me is then why would you just blow me off for literally two
weeks? Well, I don't know. That's a good question. That's why we're all here.
To figure that out.
Is there any other reason that you can think of at all?
Or that's the main reason that you think she might not be calling you back?
I think the way that she reacted
is probably because I called her out on being
drunk. She took it the wrong way.
Were you tipsy at all? Sober?
At all her level?
I mean, I had a little
bit of buzz, you know, but not that I'm aware.
You didn't hop up on the table and go to the whole restaurant.
This lady's drunk right here.
Make a spectacle.
Did you get another drink?
I'm the worst drunk ever.
Let me put it this way.
I was not drunk enough to not see that she was drunk.
Right.
Okay.
Good point. Does that make sense? Yeah, because when you're drunk enough, everybody see that she was drunk. Right. Okay. Good point.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, because when you're drunk enough, everybody's sober.
You know?
That's true.
We'll play a song, come back, and then call her
and see if we can figure it out for you with your first date follow-up, okay?
We'll do it next.
Right in the middle of your first date follow-up,
if you're just joining us, Aiden is on the phone,
and he is wondering why he's not getting a call back from Marissa.
It's been two and a half weeks.
He's reached out to her about four times, and he's heard nothing back. So he emailed us to see if we can call her and figure out why he's not getting a call back from marissa it's been two and a half weeks he's reached out to her about four times and he's heard nothing back so he emailed us to
see if we can call her and figure out why he's getting ghosted he thinks that the reason she
might not be calling him back is that when they went out on their date she was getting a little
drunk and he asked her about it he met it in a playful way like you're getting a little tipsy huh
and he thinks maybe she might have taken it in a bad way because after that her mood changed
maybe she felt like he was making fun of her or he was criticizing her or he was turned off by the fact that she was drunk.
But Aiden, you liked the fact that she was drunk a lot, didn't you?
Well, I thought it was funny.
It's hilarious.
I mean, not every day.
Yeah.
Drunk once in a while is hilarious.
Drunk every day, sad.
Said who?
All right. So we're going to call her right now and see if we can figure out why she's not calling you back. Here we every day, sad. Said who? All right.
So we're going to call her right now and see if we can figure out why she's not calling you back.
Here we go.
I'm going to dial the phone number.
Are you ready?
Yeah, cool.
Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Marissa, please?
Yeah, this is Jesus S.
Hi, Marissa.
This is Jubal from a radio show called The Jubal Show.
And this is Alex.
And this is Christian.
All from a radio show called The Jubal Show.
Yep, what they said.
How are you?
Okay, I don't know it.
I'm not, I don't know it.
That's okay. That's fine. Thanks. You don't know it. I'm not. I don't know it. That's okay.
That's fine.
Thanks.
You don't have to.
It's not a must.
You don't judge unless you need to be judged and you're being judged.
Yeah.
It's not a law yet.
Yeah.
But it might be eventually.
We're not going to get it on the books.
The day that I finally win the presidency, it will become a law.
So anyway, we do a segment on our show where if you go out on a date with somebody and then end up ghosting them, can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened we got an email about you from aiden oh
boy yeah yeah yeah aiden emailed us told us all about your date said he really liked you a lot
and it's been two and a half weeks he's reached out to you a few times and he's heard nothing so
aiden is wondering why you're ghosting him yeah Yeah, well, he drank way too much.
Like, he was really, really drunk.
Well, that's actually what he said about you.
Really?
We're just going to get right to it.
Oh, my God, no.
What?
No way.
He said he was sober.
He said that the reason he thinks that you might not be calling him back
is because you got a little tipsy, and he pointed it out.
Oh, my.
What?
Yeah.
Yeah.
He said he pointed it out in a playful way and that
you might have taken it like in a negative way he was so drunk that his shirt he had like a buttoned
shirt it was completely unbuttoned half off and like falling off the shirt went by like when i
put him in an uber wait what you put him in the uber yeah yeah he said he put you in the uber
no i put him in an uber because you guys guys, I was like lightly buzzed and went.
I just went out with friends.
This is the same exact story as he said for you.
He said that he had two drinks.
He was barely buzzed.
So who's the liar?
I'm telling you.
Afterwards, I was like, okay, that was a turn off.
And then I went out to hang out with friends at another party.
You still went out?
Yeah.
I was like totally fine.
I've done that before.
I've been on a date that was so terrible.
I was like, yeah, no, I'm tired.
And then I end the date and then go meet up with my friends and go, that was horrible.
Thanks.
I'm glad I'm here now.
Thanks for saving me.
That's pretty much how it was.
I don't know what to say.
So who do you guys believe then?
Same story.
I kind of believe her.
I know, right?
Thank you.
I believe both of them.
I think they were just both hammered.
Both just blackout drunk.
No, definitely not me, guys.
Okay.
Aiden, were you the drunk one then?
Wait, what?
Yeah, Aiden's on the phone.
I forgot to tell you that.
Aiden's on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.
Aiden, were you drunk?
Well, I had a couple drinks.
I mean, that's what we were drinking.
I mean, it was like...
Wait, wait, wait.
You've been on the phone hearing all of that?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'm so sorry.
You guys!
Oh, my God.
Now I'm embarrassed, but I probably shouldn't be.
No, you don't have to be embarrassed because you were drunk.
You don't have to blame it on me.
It's fine.
You were drunk.
Oh, my gosh, guys.
No, I wasn't.
You were the drunk one.
Are you kidding me?
Oh, really?
Why do you think I haven't called you back?
You went in the wrong Uber.
You put me in the wrong Uber.
That's how drunk you were.
Like, I wasn't even in the right Uber.
No, I didn't put you in the wrong Uber.
You started getting into my Uber, and so I had to put you in the other Uber.
Oh, my God.
How embarrassing. If you guys were in a relationship together, it would getting into my Uber and so I had to put you in the other Uber. Oh my God. How embarrassing.
If you guys were in a relationship together,
it would be tragic. It would, yeah.
No, no, no. You got in my Uber.
Like, I got in the Uber. You got
in my Uber and then got in the...
You got in the wrong Uber.
Oh my God.
Actually, Aiden, your story changed because
you said that you put her in the Uber.
Thank you.
It's a little bit of a blur there,
but I know for a fact she was
in the wrong Uber. Aiden,
you're hammered. Just admit it to these guys.
It's so silly. I would
totally do it. You admit that you were hammered.
Oh my God.
It's not a big deal.
It's like brothers and sisters arguing.
Seriously, you guys sound like brother and sister.
Gross.
And right there you even did.
All right, you guys definitely should go out on another date then.
Marissa, would you like to go on another date with Aiden?
We'll pay for it.
Absolutely not.
Say no thank you.
Are you sure you guys sound like you have fun together?
Come on.
So for sure.
No thank you.
No thank you.
Are you embarrassed?
No thank you.
I don't date liars.
You're embarrassed. Oh, and I really... I'm embarrassed for you. I'm, thank you. No, thank you. Are you embarrassed? No, thank you. I don't date liars. You're embarrassed.
Oh, and I really...
I'm embarrassed for you.
I'm embarrassed for you.
No, thank you.
No, thank you.
Really, yeah, they argue.
That's on Bill.
All right, well, you guys are...
I'm embarrassed for you.
Can you please go out again
so that you can start a reality show
so we can watch you guys?
Because you guys, we're invested.
Yeah.
Okay, look, I was definitely more tipsy
than I let on.
You claim to be? Yes, but also, just to be fair, she was totally more tipsy than I let on. You claimed to be?
Yes, but also, just to be fair, she was totally drunk, and I know it.
Oh, my God.
I said that.
I said I was a little buzzed, but you were safe.
Yeah.
So, whoa, God, how would you know?
You're stumbling everywhere.
Oh, my God.
I was not.
Oh, my God.
I look like I was stumbling because you were being double.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Okay, so you're not going to go out again.
Thank you guys so much. Sorry, Aiden, you didn't get another date.
I feel like maybe you both were drunk. But now listen to your conversation.
I feel drunk. The Jubal Show on demand.
