Harleen is on the phone today for your brand new first date follow up. And she's not getting a call back from a dude named Nabil. Apparently it's been a week since they went out and now she's getting ghosted. And Harleen, have you talked to him at all since your date?

No. I mean, like completely no word from him. I haven't heard anything. So it's getting a little worried. Like, I don't know. Maybe I'm the crazy one i thought we had a good connection but i haven't heard anything how many times have you tried to get a hold of him since your date i was just thinking that he would call me i just i haven't heard from him at all

okay so you're one of those then you want people to chase you with no effort not chase me but you know we had a great night and, you know, I was, the expectation was for him to call, you know, and he just didn't. Yeah, okay.

So you just want some effort on his part, right? Right. Well, he said he was going to call. Oh, he said he was. Okay. If he said he was

and he didn't, that makes sense. What about the date? What did you guys do? Okay, so we met at this Post Malone concert. I love Posty. I know, right?

I love him, too. So we were talking about the music, and then we ended up going back to his place. And, you know, we were just listening to all kinds of music, because that's what we originally connected on, was the Post Malone music. And then, you know, just started talking about all of our different kinds of, you know, favorite music. So that was a really, actually, I found that to be a good way to get to know somebody new, because, you know, you end up telling all these stories, and music makes you think of all these memories. So that was really great, and we did make out a little bit. Oh, okay. How was it? It was wonderful.

And that's why I'm just so surprised that I haven't heard back from him. You know, I even stayed over that night. Oh, what? And he was just, maybe it was, yes. He was a perfect gentleman. He slept on the couch. You know, I was, it was very nice. He slept on the couch?

Why was that the case? Why would that happen? Everybody in here is shocked. Wait a second. Hold on. What? I think he's modest, and I don't mind that. We had just met that day, so, you know.

My thing is, if you're at the house, you might as well already go ahead. Yeah. Why go back? You're already halfway there, girl. I mean, I'm like, if you're on a date, you should already just be doing stuff. Right? Why are we even out in public? Let's just go home.

I don't know. Maybe it's a different culture. He's Pakistani, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Okay. I'm fine with that. Is there any reason that you think he's not calling you back? I've been told that I snore. Maybe that's why he didn't call me back.

Maybe he heard me snoring from the other room. I don't know. Girl. I just thought everything was perfect. I've been just racking my brain. I can't even imagine what it was. How bad do you snore? If you ask me, I don't snore.

From a fellow snorer, that's always the answer. Yes. Right. Also, I just want to say I struggle with that, too. I hate having sleepovers or sharing a hotel room with friends because I snore. But I like struggle with that, too. I hate like having sleepovers, like sharing a hotel room with friends because I snore. But I have to be honest, girl, if he heard you snoring from the other room, that's that's another level. That's loud. That is loud. Did he comment or say anything about it?

He didn't, you know, but he did know when I was awake. So maybe, you know, he kind of knocked on the door after I had been up. I don't know. And, you know, actually, I have had a guy that, you know, kind of stopped dating me after a while because he said I snore loudly, but, you know. Oh, my gosh. Maybe there's something to it. Okay.

That's the only other thing I can think of. Maybe he didn't like the snoring. All right, cool. Well, play a song, come back, and then call him and get your first date follow-up next. In the middle of your first date follow-up and if you just joined us, Harleen is on the phone and Harleen snores.

Don't do that to her. Harleen went on a date with a dude named Nabil. They went to a Post Malone concert. She says that they had a great time, but it's been a week since they went out and she's heard nothing from him even though he said he would call after.

After they went to the concert, they even ended up back at his place and he was perfectly respectful. He slept on the couch. She slept in his bed. But now she's not getting a call back and she thinks the reason is because she snores super loud. And maybe he didn't like that. Right, Harleen? Yeah, yeah. Well, I'm going to get him on the phone right now and see if we can figure out why he's not calling you back and try to get you another date.

Have you ever heard a first date follow-up before? I assume just from the name, I can figure it out. The first date follow-up is where i assume just from the name i can figure it out the first day follow-up is where if you go on a date with someone and then you end up ghosting them they can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened and you recently ghosted somebody and then they emailed us because they are wondering why you have any idea who it is i'm leaning toward harleen you're not leaning toward harleen you You're leaning away from Harleen because you're not calling her back. Yes, that's who it is. She wants to know why you're ghosting her.

I'm Pakistani and I haven't called or spoke back to Harleen because, I don't know, I explained to her that culturally from like my parents would frown down upon me like for dating a non-Islamic woman. Oh. Yeah, and literally like the day after our date, I got a call from my parents from Pakistan. And they had set me up. I don't know. You've heard this like it's such a cliche thing, but they've set me up with an arranged marriage. Oh.

Some girl that I've never met before in my life. You're not calling Harleen back after your date because you're getting married. The date was amazing. We had a great date. She told us all about that stuff. She said that she had a really fun time. I'm more interested now in what you said, though.

Your parents called you after the date? No, they're very, very, like, they control everything, every aspect of my life. So they arranged a marriage for you? Shocking. So I just basically ghosted her because I don't even know where I'm at right now. Yeah, I'm getting married. Are you really actually going to marry the person that they called you about? Honestly, aside from disavowing orders for my family,

there's no way I can get out of this. Really? Oh, my gosh. I did really have an amazing time with Arlene, and I have not met anyone like her, really. And we had a very, very amazing spark, and it's just my parents have been running my life forever are you okay with that no i'm not okay with that i've never been okay with this i'm

basically american like i want to have freedom i want to be able to do whatever i want yeah and it sounds like you liked harleen it sounds like you really don't like the control that your parents have had over your life. Do they live here in the U.S. or they're from Pakistan? They're in Pakistan. So what stops you from saying no? I mean, I don't know the culture, so this could be an ignorant question. I'm just asking, yeah.

I want to say, like, I'm sorry, it's a curse. No, that's fine. I want to have freedom and I want to go out again. I don't know. I didn't call her, so I don't even know where she is or if she's mad at me or anything. No, she liked you a lot. She did. Yeah, I would definitely want to see her again, but I would have to literally tell my parents to fuck off. I wouldn't tell them like that because it sounds like they wouldn't like that word.

Yeah, maybe find another way to deliver that message. But that's how it is, right? These days, I sometimes say that to them because I'm sick and tired of it. Well, let me just tell you that Harleen is actually on the phone and wants to talk to you. She's been listening this whole time. Hey, Nabil.

Hey. How are you? You know, I'm alright. I'm just, you know, concerned are you? You know, I'm all right. I'm just, you know, concerned about you. I'm really sorry this is so complicated. I'm sorry that I haven't called you. I got this, literally, I got a call after our date, and they said you're in an arranged marriage. And so I assume you've been listening to what I've been telling them.

It's just like, I don't know what to do because they have such control. Sometimes they say stuff and I just adhere to what they're saying. And then the other half of me wants to just say, no. You can say that word you said before. Yeah, I like that one. Oh, you mean fuck off. Yes, that's the one I was talking about. I had an amazing time with you,

and I had a spark with you that I never had before. I haven't been on too many dates, and literally this is one I don't want to let go. It's just this is very complicated, but I also need to maybe make a real decision right now if you're still interested. Well, I'm definitely, you know, interested. And I get that you're still kind of in shock that after the first date you get this news. Are you still interested if he gets married to the other person?

Well, no. Okay. But I don't know this other person and i'm i this is not right like i i'm going to fight it i'm not going to go marry somebody that i've never met before and i don't even want to leave the united states i'm not going to go somewhere else i don't even care if they stop paying for some of the things they pay for i have my own job i'm not going to go back and listen to these people so well you know nabil i if you listen if you need a place this day you know if things get get too hairy then i know that you're respectful so you're always welcome at my place and i would definitely get along so that's something. Yeah, you're asking her to move in with you?

This is the first date follow up. Harleen, let's do this. Let's go on another date if you're still interested and let's go from there. I think that's a good idea. Two dates and then you move in. Nabil, would you like to go on another date with Harleen?
