going to take some viewer questions as well.
I mean, isn't that what democracy is all about?

The Jubal Show on demand.
First date follow-up.
Dan is on the phone today for a first date follow-up and Dan is getting ghosted by Selena.
He had a beautiful evening with Selena and now she's not calling him back.
Hey, Dan, how's it going?
Pretty good.
I don't know that I would define it as a beautiful evening so much as just a really, really, really fun evening.
Okay.
So before we get into your date with Selena, how long has it been since you talked to
her? Almost two months. Oh, whoa. All right. And I'm only waiting this long because I found your
show recently and yeah, I thought I'd see if you guys could maybe help me get to the bottom of it.
Absolutely. And it shows you really liked her too. I mean, two and a half months later to still be
thinking about her, you must've really liked the date. Have you tried to reach out to her a lot in that two and a half
months? Um, I did. I've texted her three times. It wasn't like, you know, I texted her the day
after I didn't hear anything. Then I waited like a few days and then I tried it like two weeks in
and nothing. Okay. All right. Well tell us about the date with Selena. Um, okay. So we went, uh,
we went indoor sweating, which
I've never done that before.
I've never heard of it before.
What is it? Oh, it was
great. We had a few adult beverages
and, you know, I tell you what,
I used to love sweating as a kid,
but there's
nothing better than being a little
tipsy and going sweating.
Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun.
Sounds a little dangerous, but fine.
Yeah.
We finished the night off with some ice skating, you know, holding hands.
And that was great.
That's cute.
And, you know, at the end of the evening when I dropped her off, I kind of went in for the kiss.
You know?
But I don't think she saw it coming.
She just kind of, like, turned around, opened the the door and was gone. And I was like, oh,
all right. The door to your car?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, wow. You didn't even have time to pucker your
lips up and she was gone.
Yeah, I don't even know if she saw me moving
into the kiss.
Yeah.
I don't know. That part
was a little strange. Either she got out quick because
she saw you going in for the kiss
and acted like she didn't see it,
or she was really trying to hustle out of the car.
I mean, maybe, but I thought we had a great time.
Like I said, it's been almost a couple of months.
I can't stop thinking about how much fun I had with her.
She's exactly the kind of girl that I thought was out of my league,
and I was a little surprised when she said yes to going out on a date.
Aside from being super attractive, I just like how much fun she was.
She wasn't scared to get down and dirty.
She wasn't being girly about it or anything like that.
Why do you think that she would ghost you then?
Well, um, on the date, my, uh, my baby mama was blowing up my phone.
Oh, would not stop.
And she, she's just really a couple of mother mess, but she, she's real dramatic and just,
she's not keen on, on me dating, even though it's over between us.
So that's the only thing I could think of, really.
Did she know you were on a date?
I think so.
I think my son probably told her.
When you were with Selena on the date,
did she seem put off by that?
Did she know that your baby mom was blowing you up?
Yeah, I did mention that
because it happened a few times.
So I was like, i'm really sorry about
this and i finally just put my phone on silent when i realized that it wasn't an emergency
well that could definitely be you know yeah for sure just like a red flag to someone like
you know but did you know that you had a child yeah it came up it came up in conversation but
i don't think it was that because i mean we had you know
we had a really good time we even had this moment where uh we were sledding and we kind of crashed
and rolled around in the snow it was almost like uh like kind of a scene out of brown hog day you
know thank you building the snowman and uh and they fall down in the snow and yeah it kind of
had like some eye-locking moments.
All right, and what is the last thing she said to you?
Good night.
Oh, man.
All right, we'll try to figure it out for you right now.
We'll play a song, come back, and then call her and get your first day follow-up next, okay?
Okay, yeah, sure.
Okay, guys.
All right, we'll do it next.
The last thing she said to me was good night.
That says a lot right there.
Be good or bad, to be honest.
If you just joined us for today's first date follow-up,
Dan is on the phone, and Dan wants us to call Selena.
He's been getting ghosted by Selena for over two months,
and he's been thinking about it ever since.
He just discovered the show, so he thought he'd call in and do a first-date follow-up and see if he can get another date with her and figure out why she's ghosting.
Dan, before we give her a call, give us a real quick recap of your date
so that everybody can catch up.
Sure, yeah.
We had a great time.
We went indoor sledding.
We went ice skating, had a few drinks.
She's got a great sense of humor.
We were cracking jokes.
My phone was getting blown up all night by my baby mama, you drink. She's got a great sense of humor. We're cracking, cracking jokes. She, uh, you know,
my phone was getting blown up all night by my baby mama. So I'm thinking maybe that might be
the reason why she's not getting back to me. Cause at the end of the night I moved in for a kiss,
uh, before she gets out of my car. But like basically she's going for the door as I'm
leaning in for the kiss. So I'm not even sure if she saw me leaning in for the kiss. And
I tried reaching out to her several times and there's just no response. So that's
where I'm at. Okay. Well, let's call her right now then and see if we can find out why you're
getting ghosted and maybe get you another date. All right. Sure thing. Here we go.
Hello. Hi. May I speak to Selena, please?
Oh, this is her.
Hey, Selena, what's up? How are you?
This is The Jubal Show. It's a radio show.
My name is Jubal.
Hey, it's Victoria.
Hi.
And it's Christian Gray Snow, too.
The Jubal Show is a radio show.
I don't know if you've heard it or not.
Oh, no, no, I haven't.
How are you?
I'm good, thanks. How are you?
Wonderful. Thank you very much for asking.
Yeah, appreciate that.
So we're calling you today because we got an email about you from one of our listeners.
That's why.
Oh, an email about me?
Yeah.
What did it say?
We do a segment on our show called the First Date Follow-Up.
That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and then you end up ghosting them,
that person can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you've been ghosting them.
Oh, my God.
Okay.
And we got an email about you from someone you went on a date with,
not so recently,
but it said a lot of really wonderful things about you
and how much they loved hanging out with you,
and they've been confused for over two months
about why you've been ghosting them.
Two months?
Mm-hmm.
Oh, you know what?
I went on this, it was a nice date with this guy named Danner.
We know him as Dan.
Ding, ding, ding.
If Danner's other name is also Dan, then yeah, it's him.
Also, but what are the odds that you went on a date with a Dan and a Danner?
He said you guys went indoor sledding together and he had a really great time but you've been
ghosting him for two months and he doesn't know why oh my god well yeah yeah we did have a really
good time and i really liked him he's charming and funny and we had a good time and it's fun
okay but he i i kind of got the impression that he wasn't that interested
that he kind of liked me more as a friend we had this really cute moment um when we were sledding
and we kind of crashed and like rolled in the snow and it was really cute and we laughed it off and
and i went in to give him a hug i opened my arm and he gave me a high five and he called me bro oh okay not the high five not the bro yeah it was kind of embarrassing to
be honest and uh so uh i felt kind of like i kind of got friend zoned a little bit yeah
yeah it's a little confused he did text me and i to be honest i was surprised he texted me and i i
just didn't really know how to respond so i i didn I didn't, but I, I did like him and I did have a good time.
So, so the thing you guys are doing right now is because he likes me.
Yeah.
He's been thinking about you every day for two months, wondering why you haven't called
him back.
That's a long time.
And then he emailed us and asked us to call you.
Oh my God.
Oh, I'm so surprised.
So you thought you got friend zoned?
Yeah, I thought I got friend zoned.
Okay.
So at the end of the date, so he told us about your date, right?
We talked to him, and he said when he dropped you off, he was going to go in for a kiss,
and you opened the door so quickly and ran out that he doesn't even think you knew he was going to go in for a kiss.
So he thought you friend zoned him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, no, really?
Oh, my gosh.
That's so funny.
Yeah, no, I was pretty embarrassed.
So I was thinking, oh, well, he wasn't that interested,
and I didn't really know what to do at the end of the night,
so I just left.
And I also had to take a shit real bad, too.
That was a guess of ours, too.
That was a guess. I too. That was a guess.
I made that happen.
Yes.
All right.
Okay.
So both of you guys are thinking you got friend zoned, I guess.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Danner is on the phone and he's been listening this whole time and he wants to talk to you.
No way.
Really?
Oh my God.
Oh, he just heard me say I had to take a shit.
Yes, he definitely did.
No. Dan. Hey, he definitely did. No.
Dan?
Hey, Selena, everybody poops.
It's okay.
I'm not put off by that.
Oh, my goodness.
Yeah, Selena, listen, I really apologize for calling you bro.
I just was having so much fun and
I should probably take that
word out of my vocabulary, especially
when I'm on a date. But it did
feel a little bro-y, but it was kind of like a
best friend that I'm like, that I really
am attracted to, you know, kind of
bro thing. But yeah, anyway,
I
know I haven't been able to stop
thinking about you. I mean, I thought you were out of my league.
You know, you're the kind of girl that I've always wanted to be with.
And so you did really like me then?
Because I thought I was getting friend-zoned too.
Oh, really?
You know, I did really like you.
I thought you were so funny and charming and nice and cute.
That's a relief to hear. And I want to be honest, like I've never been on a date where things just flowed as good as they did.
And I honestly can't remember the last time I went on a date that was that fun.
And it's definitely the first time I've been on a date with a woman that's as beautiful as you are, Selena.
I was probably just a little nervous because I thought you were out of my league.
Like, I really thought you were out of my league, and I thought it was headed to the friend zone.
When that happens, I get nervous and call people bro, and I need to stop doing that.
I know.
That's really sweet.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Well, to be honest, when you texted me back, I was surprised.
I didn't think you were interested.
I thought you'd friend zone me and maybe you just wanted to be friends.
And, and I was, I'm looking for more than that.
You know, I'm looking for a boyfriend.
I'm looking for someone to date and I really like you.
Well, well, uh, I really like you. Well, I really like you, too.
Well, it seems like y'all like each other.
You guys want to go steady?
Can I wear your Letterman jacket?
Oh, wow.
He's getting serious.
I think I already know the answer, but I'll ask it anyway.
Selena, would you like to go on another date with Dan?
We'll pay for it.
Really? Oh, absolutely. Even without paying for it, I definitely you like to go on another date with Dan? We'll pay for it. Really? Oh, absolutely.
Even without paying for it, I definitely
would like to go on a date with you, Dan.
That's great.
That's music to my ears.
I was about to say
I'll never call anyone bro
ever again if you go out on a second date
with me but it looks like
we're doing that then.
That's great, bro.
Love that.
