are always the most interesting to me.
What are?
The ones where someone goes out on a date with a person more than once,
and then that person ghosts them.
Oh.
You know?
The multiple time.
The multiple dater.
The multiple date follow-up.
That's what happened this time?
Yes.
The multiple date follow-up.
Landon is on the phone, and apparently he went out with a girl named Anna.
They've been out twice, and then all of a sudden,
she just dropped off the face of the earth.
You're kidding.
No, I'm not.
Oh, my God.
Ghosted?
Yes, ghosted.
Hey, Landon, do you think that's what happened,
is she went for a walk and then actually fell off the side of the earth?
Are you a flat earther?
I mean, no.
I'm going to go ahead and deny that.
But, yeah, no, it feels that way for sure.
Just completely out of nowhere.
So your email said that you guys have been out on two dates.
Yeah, that's right.
Okay.
So what did you do on your first date?
So the first time was like middle of the day.
We were both at work and it was like we were breaking for coffee.
So it was like limited, you know, low stakes.
Okay.
Very casual.
And where did you guys meet?
Well, coffee shop, like, close to
both, like, right in the middle of both of
where we work. I think she meant, like, how did
you meet her to go out with her in the first place?
Oh, I thought he was saying that's where you met her.
Oh, no.
No, no, we met on a
dating app. And then, so then you met
the first time at the coffee shop.
Yeah, that's right. Things went really well.
I mean, well enough to,
to get a, like to want to go on something with a little bit more, you know, high stakes time.
Low stakes date to high stakes date. Right. What was the high stakes date then?
We went to a Greek place that I really like. How did the date go when you guys went to dinner?
Oh, I mean, like I thought it went great. That's the weirdest part.
That's why I got in touch with y'all is because I had no indication.
I'm like racking my brain over what went wrong.
You know, like I've been, you know how it is.
You replay the conversation in your head, the moves in your head over and over trying to figure out what went wrong.
And I just can't place anything.
Can't think of anything that went wrong.
I mean, you know, kind of first date jitters.
I know it wasn't really our first date, but it certainly felt like one.
And maybe I'm a little concerned that I had too much to drink.
I didn't really feel like I did.
But, you know, I took an Uber home and was a little stumbly getting up the stairs.
So I'm just wondering if maybe that was it.
Yeah, that could be annoying.
So you said you were replaying the conversation. Do I'm just wondering if maybe that would be annoying. So you said you were
replaying the conversation. Do you remember most of it or were you that drunk? No, no, no, no. I
definitely do. I mean, uh, it was, it was good. Then like we, we connected on things that I,
I wasn't expecting us to connect about. Like I brought up, um, like I'm not huge in, in stock
trading, but I, I do a little bit and I've definitely been discovering it. And it turns
out that she is too. So we... Oh, that's cool. It's unique.
Yeah. Right. And totally did not see that coming and actually got some good advice. So
I mean, it was very attractive. Yeah. I mean, that's cool. Like if you
have a common interest of someone like that, did you know that she was also into the stock market?
No, I had no idea. There was no indication. And that's why dating can be fun. You find
out new things about people.
And then they don't call you back after.
Yeah, total go.
So how did the second date end?
Did you get a kiss or a hug?
We hugged, yeah.
Yeah, we hugged,
and then we both got into separate cars.
Did you feel like going in for a kiss?
No, actually.
I don't know.
I didn't feel that.
I didn't want to
pressure the situation,
so I just kept it at a hug.
You must not have been
as drunk as you thought
because normally
if you're that drunk,
you'd be like,
I'm going in for it.
She wants me.
I think maybe
I'm overly cautious
when I'm that drunk.
Oh, yeah.
All right, yeah.
Some people are like that too.
They go the opposite.
So there's nothing else
that you can think of other than the fact that you might have drank a little bit too much at the Greek restaurant. They go the opposite. So there's nothing else that you can think of
other than the fact that you might have drank a little bit too much
at the Greek restaurant.
No, the conversation was great. I have no idea.
Total ghost.
Well, we'll try to figure it out for you.
I still am standing with, she went for a walk
and we all know the earth is flat
and fell right off.
No? Just me?
Okay, well, I'll play a song, come back,
and then we'll call her and see what's up, okay?
Sounds good, yeah.
He fell off the face of the earth, too.
No, no, no, I'm hanging with you.
Okay, all right, cool.
Well, don't go for a walk and let's lose you.
No, stay with us.
We'll play a song, come back,
and then we'll get your first date follow-up next, all right?
All right, let's do it.
Okay.
So we're about to call Anna, the girl you went on two dates with and see why she all
of a sudden stopped calling you back.
But I wanted to ask you, so you said you guys bonded over stocks, like you're into the stock
market a little bit.
And so is she.
Yeah.
Do you think maybe she just knows way more than you?
Cause you said you got some tips from her and she's like, wow, this guy actually doesn't
know anything about the stock market.
I mean, I would think that there would be better reasons, bigger reasons to just not get in touch with somebody other than that.
I don't think it's that.
I think it's the biggest reason.
Stupidity.
Anyway.
All right.
So you guys went out on two dates, one for coffee, one to this Greek place. You think the reason she's not calling you back
is you got a little too drunk
or you might've gotten a little tipsy on your last date.
And you can't think of anything else.
By the way, how long has it been since you talked to her?
It's been like four days now.
Four days.
Okay.
Okay.
All right, well, we'll see if we can figure it out for you.
I'm going to dial her phone number right now
and find out why she's not calling you back. Okay. Okay. All right. Well, we'll see if we can figure it out for him on a dollar phone number right now and find out why she's not calling you back.
Here we go.
Hello.
Hi,
may I speak to Anna?
Um,
this is she,
Anna. How are you? This is she. Anna, how are you?
This is the Jubal show.
Okay.
The what?
The Jubal.
It's a radio show.
Yeah.
Why are you calling me?
So everybody's here.
Me, Jubal.
My hot ass wife, Alex Freyash.
Hi.
In English heaven.
Hello.
Okay. What's going on
well we're calling you today
because
we got an email
about you
from one of our listeners
who said
you could hook us up
with some hot stock tips
and
we need to know
what the hot thing
to trade on is
right now
see how very versed
I am in the stock market
what
what I'm I don't,
you want tips on the stock market? Like, I guess I'm confused. Like, yeah, that's understandable.
I'm confusing. Um, Anna, we got an email about you from a dude named Landon.
Okay. Okay. And he told us that you guys went out on two dates and he really liked you a lot
and he's wondering why you've blown him off since your last date at the greek restaurant
um well i mean does he
you want me to be honest i just don't want to hurt his feelings.
I mean, he's the one who emailed us, and he wants to know.
So if it hurts his feelings, then it's kind of his fault.
It's his bad.
Okay, well, the first time we met up, we met at a coffee shop.
And I was like, there's like this strong smell of cologne. And I was like, there's like the strong smell of cologne.
And I was like, not sure, like if it was coming from him or not.
But it was super pungent.
It was awful.
Like so, like old man, you know.
Oh, wow.
So like, were you wearing a mask, right?
Yeah.
And I could still, that's what I'm saying.
Like it was bad, right
because yeah. Okay, and so
do you know if it was coming from him or not? For sure?
No, I didn't
so, you know, the conversation
was super good, like
I really did want to go out with him again
so I did. Yeah, he told us
that you guys went to a
Greek restaurant. He thinks the reason that you stopped
talking to him was like he got a little too tipsy at the restaurant when you guys went out oh no no no i
didn't i didn't think he did i mean i just said he was you know having a good time but i just y'all
it was him and i could not get past the smell so he showed up to the restaurant and it was that
same smell from the coffee shop oh yes so it feels like it was more i could the restaurant and it was that same smell from the coffee shop? Oh, yes.
So it feels like it was more.
I could barely eat.
Like, it was bad.
Like, I could.
Damn.
It was horrible.
You gave him a second date.
So I'm assuming he probably thought you loved the smell on the first date.
Yeah.
And then went overboard on the second.
You probably just wear too much clothing.
I know.
I didn't know.
I know.
I didn't know it was him.
I was hoping it wasn't.
So he took a bath in cologne both times before meeting you, or maybe all the time.
It's bad.
Like, I don't even know how you could not notice that.
Like, that's why I was like, I'm just not going to go out with him again, because obviously he doesn't know how, like, his hygiene is in question.
You know what I mean?
Too much cologne is one thing, but also if it doesn't smell good is another.
So combined is a no-no.
Right. I wonder if he wears
his cologne like that all the time. Anna, we should ask him.
Yeah, I mean, if you want to ask
him, go ahead. I'm fine.
I will. I'll just do it right now because he's actually
on the other line listening and wants to talk to you.
Oh my god,
really? Yeah, I'm surprised I don't smell him.
Yeah, really. I mean, you had to know I'd be listening, really? Yeah, I'm surprised I don't smell them. Yeah, really.
I mean, you had to know I'd be listening, right?
No, no, I didn't actually.
Wow.
You could have said something.
It seems like really easily,
you easily could have said something.
I mean, I didn't realize that you had such a concern.
Oh, you smell bad?
Listen, I've never received that you had such a concern. Oh, you smell bad? Yeah.
Listen, I've never received a complaint about that cologne ever.
So, I mean, maybe are you especially sensitive to smells?
No, not really, but you definitely put too much cologne on.
I don't know what to say.
I've never heard that before, and I've been wearing the same cologne since I was like 18.
Wow. Well, you're still single.
You always know it's good when you've been wearing cologne.
You sound like you're in your 30s. Is that true? Yeah. Might be time to update the cologne.
Yeah, well, apparently so.
That's the problem. I'm not tied to it it's
just something i do by default i didn't even i had no idea okay well landon you asked a second ago
nobody said anything to you or you said you said a second ago that nobody's ever said anything to
you probably because that's an awkward conversation to have like hey man you put on way too much
cologne i've been around people that put on a ton of cologne or perfume,
and it's always really bad,
but I never have called them out because it just feels rude.
Yeah.
Yeah, well, apparently that's what's going on here.
I honestly didn't know.
Like, it's easy to fix.
Yeah, one or two spritz, that's it.
Yeah, I would agree, one or two spritz,
but not that cologne because it's just bad. No spritzes with that. No spritzes that's it yeah i would agree one or two spritz but not that cologne because it's just bad
so no spritzes of that no spritzes of that one message heard loud and clear geez
all right well message heard loud and clear anna would you like to go out on another date with
landon we'll pay for it we'll we'll if he doesn't wear the cologne maybe we'll even buy him some new cologne will we
no we won't i mean i would except for that he called me like sensitive to smell and like can't
even admit that like it's his cologne like it's kind of uncool so i don't really feel like going
out with him again because i'm sure he's going to pick up my karate or something i'm on the same
page you know what's uncool is
just completely ghosting someone and not having
the courage to talk to them about it. So I have
no interest now.
Okay. Alright, so
I guess you're both in agreement. Hey, look
at that. There's our answer. More common ground
between you guys. Stocks and now the fact that
you don't want to go out again.
Well, thanks for clearing the air.
