Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed human. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you. you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodam. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo.
Starting point is 00:00:42 My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat just hanging. Hang in there. Yeah, it would not be...
Starting point is 00:01:05 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Ellen's, correct?
Starting point is 00:01:26 I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the... the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Ranchini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, and this is mostly human, a tech podcast through a human lens. This week, an interview with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to disliked. that creators of AI products bear a tremendous amount of responsibility
Starting point is 00:02:07 to the products we put out in the world. An in-depth conversation with a man who's shaping our future. My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to mostly human on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows.
Starting point is 00:02:22 First date of follow-up, powered by the advocates injury attorneys, online at advocateslaw.com. Lila is on the phone today for a first day follow-up, and she's getting ghosted by a dude named Kai, so in a few minutes, we're going to call him and see if he'll tell us why he's ghosting her and maybe get her a second date. But first, Lila, why do you think you're getting ghosted?
Starting point is 00:02:45 I think it's because I called him a pervert. Was that being playful or? You called him a pervert. Yeah, but I didn't, like, I didn't mean to. We actually, like, went out on a first date and it was so great. I like we got along so well it was like the best first date I ever had and then at the end no yeah he was he was so sweet he walked me to my car and everything at the end of the night like before that like we did go to his car and like mess around a little bit we didn't like hook up but like you know
Starting point is 00:03:29 it got close and we're like okay okay next time okay so you stopped and you didn't do a all the stuff. Yeah, yeah. Okay. And then like, you know, later that night, he texted me and he was like, hey, you know, I hope, you know, I wasn't like too forward and, you know, I'm glad that like we waited because I really like you and I want this to like continue and I want to make sure that I'm like respecting you and your boundaries. So I texted him back, you were perfect and I haven't heard from him anymore. I went to check my text and there's nothing. And then I looked at my last text and I see that like my phone auto-corrected perfect to pervert. Oh, well. Oh yeah, that could have done it then. Yeah. And I didn't notice at all.
Starting point is 00:04:26 He said, I hope I wasn't pushing any boundaries and you responded, you were a pervert instead of you were perfect. Well, no. Yeah. But you see, I was so excited when I was, like, testing him that, like, I didn't notice at all. Yeah. And a few days went by, and now, and I saw that. And, like, you know. If you tried to reach out to him to be like, hey, I didn't mean to call you a pervert.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I was actually saying you were perfect, not you're a pervert. No, because I don't know if he's going to be, believe me, you know, I'm, like, a little embarrassed. Okay. Lila is on the phone and she's getting ghosted by a guy named Kai, so we're about to call him and see if I'll tell us why he's ghosting her and maybe get her a second date. But first, Lila, why don't you refresh our memory on why you think you're getting ghosted again? Because I accidentally called him a pervert.
Starting point is 00:05:26 But it wasn't intentional. It was like autocorrected and I didn't notice. Yeah. And I haven't heard from him. A legit accident. Yeah, because you guys mess around a little bit, and he sent you a text being respectful saying he hope he wasn't pushing any boundaries. And you meant to say you were perfect, but you said you were a pervert. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:48 So that means we can tell him that there's a chance you could get a second date. Yeah. Yeah, I hope. All right. Well, here we go. I'm going to dial this phone number right now, okay? Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Hello? Hi, man. speak to Kai please. Yes, speaking. Hey, Kai, how are you? This is a radio show. It's called The Jubal Show. Hi, Kai.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria. And my name's Jubal. What's up? Hey. How are you? Have you ever heard of the Jubal show before? Yeah, you guys are the ones that catch, like, cheaters and stuff, right?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Yeah. Me. We do. Okay. You're not cheating on anybody, I don't think, are you? I know, you started to sound scared. Yeah. Yeah, what's up?
Starting point is 00:06:35 Okay, cool. We're calling you today because we also do a segment on the show called your first date follow-up. So that's where if you go out with somebody and you end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. And we got an email about you, Kai. Okay. From Lila? Yes, it is Lila. She told us a little bit about your date, said that she actually thought it was one of the best dates of her life.
Starting point is 00:07:03 She just wants to know if she did something wrong. Okay. Yeah, I'm ghosting here for two reasons, actually. One, she called me a pervert. About that. Yeah, two, her mom is a crazy. Her mom is a crazy? Yeah, yeah, like nuts. Okay. She told us about the pervert thing. Just to let you know, that was an autocorrect. She told us that you texted or something about, like, you hope you weren't pushing any boundaries. She meant to text you back to say you were perfect. and auto-corrected to you were pervert. So, yeah, all I got was that. I was just trying to be respectful. You were.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Yeah. But her mom's crazy? What does that mean? Yeah, that's the thing. Like the pervert thing, it's like, okay, sure, auto-correct. I don't know, maybe she was, at the time, I was like, oh, are you serious? I thought she might have been joking, but I just left it alone. But I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:00 So I decided to go snooping on her Instagram a little bit. And, yeah, I saw a picture of her mom. And I recognized her, the mom from a parking lot, you know, recently. A woman got out of her car and just started, like, cursing me out and, like, kicking my tires. She thought I stole her parking space. I didn't. I was there first. And it's the same woman.
Starting point is 00:08:24 It was her mom. Oh, no. Her mom road raged on you. Like, total caring behavior, like, absolute, like uncalled. It was embarrassing. Are you sure it was her mom? I'm positive. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Okay. They have like crazy eyes and everything. Oh, shoot. Oh, my God. You don't forget someone like that. No, no, no. Don't, don't. What did you say about my mom?
Starting point is 00:08:50 Hey, Kai, that's Lila. She's actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you. Crazy eyes? Yeah. Are you kidding me? Yeah, no. Your mom totally cursed me out in public, and I, listen, I'm not trying to date. Okay, tell the whole story.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Tell the whole story Because she told me You knew this Lila No no I didn't know it was him But like she told me about this guy Well like she She went up
Starting point is 00:09:19 Went to park This guy like cut And like took her Park parking spot And then You're not gonna believe what happened He got out of the car And like farted
Starting point is 00:09:31 Like He let out like a large A loud fart. What? Like at your mom? Ew. At my mom.
Starting point is 00:09:41 This is disgusting. Insane. Like, who does that? And now he's saying that she has crazy eyes when he's doing something like that. Come on. Is that a song? Listen, I did not start with the fart. All right.
Starting point is 00:09:57 It was a whole situation where she was yelling at me. I wanted to get away from this woman. She kept coming towards me. What else am I going to do? All right, so I, yeah, you know what? Be a normal human being. Listen, I did what I had to do. I farted in her general direction and I'd do it again.
Starting point is 00:10:17 What? Are you listening to yourself? This is all the crazy. This is insane. Like, I'm not going to hit her. I'm not going to punch her. I'm going to, I'm going to solve the situation. And that's what you do.
Starting point is 00:10:30 That's disgusting. I mean, I kind of get the logic. That's disgusting. No, listen, I don't, I don't date someone who's crazy. I don't date. And listen, women turn into their mothers, right? So it's clear that you're going to become crazy if you're not already. Honestly, you're kind of sounding like that.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You haven't seen crazy yet. No, no, no. That's so disrespectful. Like, you don't talk about my mother like that. Well, Kai, would you like another date with Lila? We'll pay for it. No, I think I'm good.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Lila? No. And like, how dare you fart? Am I mom? You pervert.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Joubles's first date follow-up. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed.
