Quinn is on the phone today for a first date follow up and she's not getting a call back from a guy named Bryce. Bryce. And she doesn't know why.

What's up, Quinn? How are you? Hey, I'm doing pretty good. Pretty good. How are you guys? Not too bad. Doing all right. Just hanging out.

So why don't you tell us what's going on? Yeah, okay. So I'm on Instagram, and I see this guy named bryce come up he's super cute he's like on a mutual friends page in a picture um and so i kind of liked a few of his photos on his instagram and then yeah and then i noticed the next day that he had liked a few of my photos. And then eventually we follow each other. And then finally, I actually wake up to a DM from him on Instagram. And he asked if I wanted to go to dinner and a movie.

So obviously you said yes. How was dinner and a movie? It was great. We saw A Quiet Place 2. It was perfect. It was like Quiet Place 2. It was perfect. It was like kind of scary, but it was really good. And dinner was really, really good. I mean, the whole thing was great.

So, yeah, I'm kind of confused. I felt like we had a really good connection. Like we had a similar sense of humor. We both like the same music. Like I felt like the conversation was flowing. So it was just kind of humor. We both liked the same music. I felt like the conversation was flowing. So it was just kind of weird. And then afterwards, he wasn't really messaging me anymore. I didn't really get anything on Instagram and not even on my cell phone because we gave each other each other's numbers too. But yeah, he stopped texting me, no DMs. Weird. I forgot to ask you. I like to

start these off by asking how long it's been since you've heard from him. Probably three weeks. Oh. Wow. That's been a while. That's a long time. Very long time. How many times have you tried to reach out to him?

I don't want to be annoying. So, like, I've reached out to him four times. Four times. Okay. And he hasn't responded to you at all? No. No, not really not really like he did that thing where you know you can like heart someone's message oh that's like telling it to go away without saying it god yeah so it's like he's seen it he's like acknowledged it but he hasn't really

said anything back which is super weird that's even worse than just like yeah straight up not saying anything to you because you know that he saw it and he had enough time to like it and then nothing. What do you think? What could have went wrong on the date? Why do you think he's not calling you back? I've been like racking my brain trying to think if anything was weird. I mean I do have like

this system for sneaking candy into the movie theater which I think is funny. It's like a family thing. And me and my friends do it too. But like, I have this like green cargo jacket with a bunch of pockets, which is like my movie jacket. I like put different candies in the pockets.

I thought it was like cute. I came prepared. Yeah, no, I'm sure he appreciates not having to spend a bunch of money. Yeah, exactly. Yeah Yeah that'd be awesome I think that'd be great Yeah it's crazy When I asked him before The date

Like what candy he liked So I had Reese's pieces And like Sour Patch Kids The whole thing In different pockets I thought it was really funny He kind of thought

It was like a little weird Did he really? That's crazy I would've thought That was great He's like no I'm gonna go buy This $20 M&M's.

He sounds lame. If he didn't think that was a plus on a date, sounds like a loser to me. Unless he was planning on having you pay the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, maybe it's just that I was pulling candy out of all my pockets. I don't know. I wouldn't want to date someone that could pull candy out of all their pockets.

Seriously, I'd date you. The Mary Poppins of candy. Seriously. That's what I'm saying. So, yeah, it was really weird. And, like, I don't think anything else was wrong. So, I have no idea. Huh.

Okay. Well, we'll call him. We'll try to find out for you. We'll play a song, come back, and then we'll call him and get your first date follow-up right after this, okay? Okay. Thank you, guys. All right.

He actually liked one of the texts, which, ouch, because she knows that he's seen them. Loved one of the texts. Yeah, loved it, yeah. And for some reason, he's not, for some reason,

he's been blowing her off and she doesn't know why. So we're about to get him on the phone and see if we can figure it out for her. They met on Instagram. They went out for sushi and then saw a movie. Sushi and a movie. The only reason that she can think of that he might be ghosting her is because she snuck a bunch of candy into the movies.

And maybe he's just not any fun at all. Because why wouldn't you want to do that? Save some money and also get the candy that you want. Anyway, that's the only thing she can think of. And we're about to call him and see if we can figure it out. Let's give him a call and see. Any last words before we dial this phone number and call Bryce? Okay.

I don't think so. I just want to find out. You know, I just want to know. I want to know the reason. Okay. I think we all do. Yeah. So I'll dial the phone number right now.

Hold on one second. Hello? Hi, may I speak to Bryce, please? Yeah, this is Bryce. Hey, Bryce, how are you? This is The Jubal Show. My name is Jubal. Mine's Alex.

Mine's English Evan. Oh. It's a radio show. If you don't know what The Jubal Show is, it's a radio show. Okay, cool. What's up? We're calling you because we do a segment on the show called The First Date Follow-Up. What that is is if you go out on a date with somebody, they can email us and then go, Hey, why didn't you call him back?

And then maybe you tell us, go, Hey, this is why I didn't call him back. And then we go, Hey, that's reasonable or unreasonable. Um, and would you, you know, talk about it with them or whatever, you know, and that kind of stuff. So anyway, that's what this is right now. It's called a first date follow-up. And you recently went out with somebody named Quinn. Um, yeah, yeah, I did. Yes, he did. All right. And Quinn emailed us and told us about your date. We talked to her a little bit. She said that she had a great time, but now you're not calling her back and she wants to know why. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. This is, uh, this is crazy. So honestly, honestly, I had a pretty good time too, but there was a very... That's a rave review.

So why are you not calling her back? Yeah. Yeah, I've been working really hard to sort of like see the red flags. And we met on Instagram. You know, I sent her a DM. It went pretty good. And she was just like this You know, I sent her a DM. It went pretty good. And she was just like this beautiful blonde, you know.

And I show up to the date and all excited, you know, nice sushi place. She has red hair, okay. She had red hair at the sushi place? Yeah. Okay. She dyed her hair then? No. So I went back to the Instagram and I realized she has all these different hair colors.

She doesn't show her real hair. It's all wigs. Okay. And I don't even know what she actually looks like if I'm being honest with you. Okay. And that's a problem because I'm looking for you to fill in the blank there because I don't know

if I'd see a problem with that that's a red flag I mean someone who won't even show their real hair on a first date to me reads a little bit unstable

if I'm being honest unstable? really? huh yeah that's not what I would have taken from it I mean

I would have been like maybe she doesn't like her hairstyle underneath or or maybe she mixes it up a little bit. Like it's hot. If you mix up your hair a little bit from time to time, I like, you know, I wear wigs

all the time. And Alex and I are married and she's always telling me how sexy it is. Always. For her, I don't know. So you think, why is it a red flag if she's wearing wigs? I don't really understand that. To me, it's the definition of unstable, not wanting to show your true self on a first date, first of all.

That speaks to maybe her insecurities. I don't really know what I'm actually going to be waking up next to. What if she just likes fashion and change her look and that's it? Yeah, man. just likes fashion and change her look and that's it yeah man i mean if i'm being honest like all these different hairstyles and wigs and stuff she seems crazy she seems like a straight up crazy girl what crazy you oh no hey bryce i don't even know if you heard what just happened or understand what just happened but i should have told you a second ago. Quinn is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you and just did.

I don't. Did you hear that? Are you serious? Yeah. Oh, my God. Bryce, are you kidding me? Because I was wearing a wig. That's why you won't text me back. That's why you won't message me.

Seriously. Yeah. Guys, do you hear what I'm saying about this instability thing? Instability? Are you serious? I'm unstable. I'm unstable. I'm unstable because I like to wear wigs because I like to change up my

hair color. Oh, I'm so sorry. I don't like to have the same hair color every day like normal people. Oh, I'm so sorry. don't like to have the same hair color every day like normal people oh I'm so sorry I like it blonde I like it black I like it red every day is a new day for me like you're boring you're boring you don't even know what you want yeah no clearly I'm incorrect you have a great head on your shoulders awesome yeah I actually do I actually you're the one with the terrible head on your little shoulders like you are shallow and superficial you're judging someone based off their hair color i'm fun it's always something different with me like you are boring yeah this is gonna make me like steer even farther clear red flags from now on and i I'm glad I went with my gun on this one.

Bryce, would you like to go on another date with Quinn? We'll pay for it. Oh, not enough money in the world, my guy. Not enough money in the world. You should be asking me if I want to go on another date with you. You are the person with bad taste. You're the person. You didn't even bring any candy into the

movie theater i had to bring everything i brought everything to this date you brought nothing you weren't even that funny honestly you wouldn't pay me to even look at this man again like ew wow so do you want to go on another date or no no i would i would never go and let this be an advertisement for any men out there who actually like fun and who like candy at movie theaters and fun different colored hair and who like adventure because that is the kind of man that i want okay well hopefully we can or you can find one of those and bryce sorry you're not quinn speed No, no.
