The Jubal Show on demand.
First date follow-up.
Be careful what you wish for, Mr. Jubal Show.
People have been asking for us to do follow-ups on the first date follow-ups and the War of the Roses to catch a cheater.
And we have a first date follow-up follow-up coming up.
We sure do.
Our first one.
A follow-up to the follow-up.
A follow-up to the follow-up.
It's our first one, and I'm super excited for it,
and I'm really excited to do this going forward.
I cannot wait to figure out what these people are up to.
We're actually following up with a bunch of people this week
because people have been asking us,
like, hey, you guys do the first date follow-ups,
but then I don't hear anything else about these people, right?
You don't know how their dating life is going,
if they got back together, if they
got married, if they're pregnant, if whatever
happened. If they took our advice. Exactly.
Right? Yeah, so
people have been asking for us to find out, and
you're in luck because our first
first date follow-up follow-up
is coming up
right after this.
Now it's time for a first date follow-up
follow-up. We're going to play it's time for a First Date Follow-Up Follow-Up.
Woo-hoo.
We're going to play a little bit of a First Date Follow-Up from a few months ago,
and we've got them on the phone right after it.
So listen to this, and then right after we'll check in with them and see how things are going now
because people have been asking us to do this for a while, so you're in luck.
It's a First Date Follow-Up Follow-Up.
So right after this, you'll hear us check in with the people from the First Date Follow-Up.
Yep.
You're welcome.
Let's get it.
Bia is on the phone and she doesn't know why she's not getting a call back from a guy named Ryan that she went on a date with.
They went to Red Lobster because it's one of her favorite restaurants.
She knows it's not the fanciest joint in the world, but she wanted to go there.
They ate a bunch.
He actually got sick and threw up after and they still made out later on.
Oh, s***.
With no toothbrushing in between.
So that was the part that grossed everybody out.
Cannot.
And Bia doesn't understand why he's not calling her back
because she thought the date was amazing.
It's been two months, actually,
and she can't stop thinking about him.
So she wants us to call,
find out why he's not calling her back
and see if we can get her another date.
And you really liked this dude. Yeah, I like him a lot. I mean, he was super dope and we had this amazing connection and I really want to figure out what happened. Okay. Well,
we'll see if we can figure it out. We're going to call his phone number right now and see if he
answers. Here we go. Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Ryan, please?
Yeah, this is Ryan.
How are you, man?
This is The Jubal Show.
It's a radio show.
My name's Jubal.
My name is Alex.
I'm Christian Gray-Snow.
I don't know what's going on.
What's happening?
Well, it's a radio show.
It's called The Jubal Show.
We do a segment on our show called The First Date Follow-Up.
That's where if you go out on a date with someone and you end up not calling them back,
they can email us and get you on the phone and find out what happened.
And you recently went on a date with one of our listeners,
and she's confused because you've been ghosting her.
Oh, okay.
Do you know who we're talking about?
Um, I might have an idea. i'll give you a hint okay her name is
it's me yeah if you didn't catch on remember her? Yeah, if I had known that song, I might have used that on my first date.
Missed opportunity for sure.
Yeah, it is, definitely.
Yeah, this is bizarre.
It's been like two months.
She told us all about your date, but she also said that it's been two months.
She said that she really liked you a lot, and she's been thinking about you ever since,
and she wants to know why you're not calling her back.
So would you mind telling us why you're not calling Bia Bia back?
Well, truthfully, I was just out
of a really bad relationship,
and it's hard to put in words,
but she was almost like too good to be true.
It kind of scared me, you know?
Like, it went so well.
I mean, I threw up and everything,
and she didn't,
she didn't freak out. She didn't like make fun of me or embarrass me. I mean, I was really,
um, I don't know. It's just, it's been so long since I've been in like a real connected relationship, you know, it kind of scared me off. Yeah. Why would you run from that?
Sounds like a good thing. Uh, sometimes, you know, I guess you get afraid of really connecting
with somebody after you've
been through something where you try to be with somebody and then things don't turn out the way
you thought they were going to turn out and it really hurts you. So you got hurt in your last
relationship? Like, yeah, it was pretty bad. Okay. I ran away, you know, I wasn't really a good move
on my part. Do you want to be in a relationship eventually like a good one you know like truthfully yes i think it's just like i don't know you get scared
and then you run away and that's kind of been a pattern right a little bit and it's like b.o. is
the best thing that happened for a while and i think sometimes you're scared of things that are
good for you you can't run from b.o. bia Bia right now because she's actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.
Oh, are you serious?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Yay!
Bia Bia!
Hi, Ryan.
I can't run forever, can I?
No, you can't.
Bia found you.
She ran after you.
Oh, my God.
That actually kind of means a lot.
Hey, Ryan.
Bia, you tracked me down like this?
That's crazy.
I mean, in a good way.
It was worth it.
Ryan, this is crazy.
I really had no idea that you were feeling the same way I was feeling. It's bonkers to hear you say that. At the time when I met you, I don't think I was ready to, like, get into, like, a relationship with somebody. But, you know, I've had time to process things.
And, like, you know, you kind of do pop up in my mind every once in a while.
I do feel bad ignoring you.
It's something that I regret, like, pretty frequently.
Wow.
I mean, it's crazy hearing you say that.
Like, I was really bummed, likemed that you didn't text me back,
and honestly, I almost gave up Red Lobster,
which for me is insane.
Oh, damn.
I didn't realize it was that deep.
No joke.
But real talk, though, Ryan,
I'm totally willing to take it one step at a time.
I don't want to rush into this.
I know what you've been through and
I just think this could be something really
great. Ryan, would you
like to go on another date with Bia? We'll pay for it.
Oh, yes, absolutely.
I promise I'm not going to let her win this time.
We did it. That's great.
Are you the Chris? Yes.
Hey, congratulations.
Bia, Bia.
Hey. Bia, Bia. We're going out again. Congratulations, Bia, Bia Guess what? B.O.B.O. Hey.
You guys are going out again.
Congratulations, B.O.B.O.
I love it.
And congratulations, Ryan.
Thank you.
Have fun, guys.
Yeah, have fun.
We'll check back with you guys and see how everything works. Another one.
Yeah.
And then the B.O.B.O. celebration that we come to attend because we put you all together.
Exactly.
All right. But for right now, let's just have it be a second date so don't get too crazy like bia said one step at a time
that was a first day follow-up from a few months ago and we actually have bia bia bia bia bia on the
phone right now and ryan to check in to see how things
went. What's up, you guys? How are you?
Hey!
Hi! Good, how are you? Doing great.
Doing great. Doing great.
You guys are on the phone together, which means I think
hopefully things have been working out for you.
They
definitely have. Yay!
I'm glad to hear, guys. Yeah,
we're still together, thanks to you guys. Yay. I'm glad to hear, guys. Yeah, we're still together.
Thanks to you guys.
Yeah.
I did take him back to Red Lobster.
There was no throw up.
Oh, that's good.
Let's celebrate that.
Yeah.
Congratulations, Ryan.
You liked it.
Really?
I learned to love the lobster.
Ryan has learned to love red lobster now.
Are we still talking about the restaurant?
Yeah, I know.
I even bought her a gift card for a red lobster for Christmas.
Oh, that's amazing.
That's probably the best gift that you got her.
That's cool.
That's amazing for you guys.
And yeah, we're planning on moving in together at the end of the lease.
And I want to thank you guys for pushing me not to keep running away.
Absolutely. That's a big step, guys. guys that's awesome thank you and i hope when
you guys get married you'll remember the song that we played for you for you guys your first
dance yeah we're gonna walk down the aisle to be a bia for sure alex and i met on instagram
alex and i are married and our song where we walked off was um goes down in the dms so why not make this a song you walk down the
aisle to and the wedding guests can just yell bia bia as you're walking down the aisle. You better be invited. Yes.
Invited.
I better be a guest.
Yeah.
Be a guest.
It's really funny, you guys, too, because sometimes Ryan will be in the shower singing,
and he doesn't know I'm listening, and he'll be like, be-o, be-o.
That's awesome.
That's awesome.
That's awesome.
