Do you know I just found out who Sidney Sweeney was? If he got a bunch of women, then I should have a bunch of men.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Do better or do less, so I don't have to do so much. I'm Yamanika, and I'm out. Listen to You're the Problem with Yamanika on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Shane is on the phone today for a first day. Follow up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Dahlia. So in a few minutes, we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date.
Starting point is 00:02:37 But first, Shane, why do you think Dahlia's ghosting you? Probably because I lied about playing the trumpet. Why? You lied about playing the trumpet? Why would you? Yeah, why? Is the trumpet a big turn on too? I didn't know that, but.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Yes. Well, so here's what happened. So I took Dahlia to one of those traveling night markets. Oh, that kind of moves around different parts of the country. and they have food vendors, live music, games for adults to play. And we haven't a great time. She told me, you know, it seemed like she was having fun. It seemed like we were viving.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And she was telling me how much she liked how spontaneous and adventurous I was. And, you know, I don't really think a night market is that adventurous. But whatever. Anyways, at one point, there was a band playing, and they were joking around that someone should come up and play trumpet with them from the audience. I was kind of joking. I was joking and I was joking with her and I told her that I, you know, I chees there. I was like, oh, well, I played the trumpet since I was a little kid and I'm going to go on stage and I'll go kill it, you know. I'll surprise her.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Kind of like that scene in Anchorman, you know. And I went up there and I bombed. I was absolutely terrible at the trumpet, which. Did you already know how to? I thought that was still funny. Did you already know how to play? Okay, so you were joking. I was just going to go up there.
Starting point is 00:04:01 And be goofy, you know? And I thought it's funny. But I don't think she did. Because after that, she looked like she had just smelled the fart is the best way to describe what her face looked like. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. And the date ended.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Well. Well, yeah. And the date ended shortly afterwards. And I just want to be clear, I did not fart. Which, I mean, her mood was changed. And she looked like someone does. when they smell a fart, just really upset, you know? How's the stink face, you know?
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yeah, okay. Yeah, well, so, you know, basically shortly after she gave me that stink face, I ended up just having to walk her to her car. Okay. And she gave me a very cold embrace and just drove off. And that was it. And you haven't talked to her since? No, we haven't spoken since.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Okay. I mean, it would have been really hot if you did go up there, like, slam the trumpet. But I was a good, pretty funny issue. Ish, if you didn't. Yeah, that's it. Oh, it was funny. It was funny. Okay, well, we'll see.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Shane is on the phone, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Dahlia, so we're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first, Shane, why don't you refresh our memory on why you think you're getting ghosted? Because I lied about knowing how to play the trumpet. Well, you did a little more than that. Well, okay. So I went on stage. There was like a band playing at this outdoor night market.
Starting point is 00:05:37 And they kind of joking were like, well, does anybody in the audience know how to play trumpet and want to join us on stage? And I don't know how to play trumpet, but I don't know how to play trumpet. I like going out and, you know, being like a funny person. So I went on stage and acted like I know how to play the trumpet. And of course I didn't it and ended up sounding really bad. But I thought it was really goofy. It was like a goofy thing to do. And it didn't seem like she thought it was funny, right?
Starting point is 00:06:00 It was said after that her mood kind of changed. changed. Yeah, she looked like she had just smelled a fart. Okay, well, I'm going to call it right now, okay? Here we go. Hello? Hi, man, speak to Dahlia, please. Yes, this is. Hey, Dahlia, how are you? This is a radio show. It's called the Jubel show. Hi, I'm Victoria.
Starting point is 00:06:22 My name is Jubel. How you doing today? I'm good. Sweet. For real, what's going on? You ever heard of the Jubel show before? Uh, yeah, yeah, but I'm just a little confused. Yeah, okay, cool. Well, I don't know if you've ever heard a first date follow up before, but that's a segment
Starting point is 00:06:45 we do on the show where if you go out on a date with somebody and you end up ghosting them, that person can email us to ask you why you're not calling them back. And we got an email about you. Oh, okay. Do you know? Yeah, I think I know. Okay. I think I know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Yeah. Who do you think it is? I think it's Shane. Yes, it is Shane. We talked to Shane a little bit about your date. He said he really liked you and he doesn't get why you're not calling him back. Would you mind telling us? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 I'm ghosting Shane because he carries a hamster in his pocket like it's completely normal. Wait, what? He carries a hamster in his pocket? Like a live hamster? Yeah, like a small rat. Like a live hamster. Okay. And you didn't tell you about it?
Starting point is 00:07:41 No. So, and I was really just got the ick. Like, basically what happened was like, the date itself was actually pretty good. We just went to this like, it's kind of like a market, like a vendor thing one night. And that was, that was all fine. He's got like a lot of personalities. like I thought he was pretty funny but like halfway through
Starting point is 00:08:08 yeah like I just totally got the ick like we got some pizza one of the vendors and we like sit down and eat it and he just so casually is like look and he reaches into his pocket he's wearing like one of those like Hawaiian shirts he like reaches into his pocket and he pulls out like a hamster
Starting point is 00:08:28 like a live like a mouth out of nowhere and he's like yeah Yeah, and I screamed. And he said, we didn't even need to buy this little guy a ticket. And he's, like, feeding him pieces of his pizza. Wow. Like, I think it's going to be cute.
Starting point is 00:08:46 But, like, seriously, I was really just totally grossed out. Like, who the hell walks around with a hamster in their pocket? It's like, it's a rat. Okay. Wait, wait. A rat, a rat, a hamster is nowhere near a rat. And what kind of chick are you that doesn't like little furry animals? They're so cute.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Hey, Dahlia, that's Shane. He's actually on the line and wants to talk to you. Oh. Oh. Hi. Okay. Hi. Look, Dalia, I just don't understand why you don't like Little Hamilton.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Hamilton? Is that the name of your hamster that you take with you? Yeah, it's Hamilton. Is that a great name? Oh, how cute. Okay. The name is... That's great.
Starting point is 00:09:41 The name is fine. Love the musical. I just don't understand why you think just bringing some like surprise pocket hamster on a first date. It isn't something you should tell someone beforehand. Wait. Wait, Dahlia. Why do you keep saying, quote, surprise pocket hamster, end quote. Like, that's a bad.
Starting point is 00:10:01 our crazy thing. That's awesome. No, no, it's not normal people don't like discover rodents and other people's pocket like halfway through, you know, appetizers. And it's gross. He's not a rodent. His name is Hamilton.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Lord Hamilton the third. Lord Hamilton the third. Lord Hamilton. That's like not that's not any better. Lord Hamilton. He has anxiety when I leave him at home. Okay, well, I have anxiety when we're, like, eating with him, they are present and he's eating the same food.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Wait, wait, wait, Dahlia, you literally said he was cute. He was just staring at me, all right? And I'm, like, in public, I'm on a date with a psychopath who just keeps rodents in his pocket. Like, what am I supposed to say? You know what? You know what? You're just the fucking racist. That's what you are.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Oh, racist. What? Okay. Yeah. Whoa. You're racist against hamsters. Right? I don't know if that's a thing.
Starting point is 00:11:13 That's a little much. Like, that's too far. You've got to be kidding. I'm not. I'm not kidding. You're literally the first person I've ever met with my hamster. I didn't realize you hated fun. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Okay. Yeah. All right. You're right. I'm just boring and I just want to live my boring rat-free life alone. These are f***ing hampsies. Hey, shit. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Dahlia, I have to ask. Would you like another date with Shane will pay for it? Well, no, no. And what's like, the rage is weird, too. So add that to the list. Hey, that's fine. That's fine. See you never again, racist.
