The Jubal Show on demand. First day follow-up. James is on the phone today for a first day follow-up. It's been a week and a half since he heard from Cammie, and he doesn't know why. Before we get into your date, how many times have you tried to reach out to her in that week and a half? I've texted three times, and I called once. It's not too many times, but calling is a bit weird. I mean, especially after you're not getting a text back.

I didn't think so. You know what? You can text me as many times as you want. You can text me a hundred times in a row after a date. But if you call me, I'm going to be like, dude, what is wrong with them? That's weird. They actually called? Who does that? Yeah.

Old. Okay. Before we get into why you think you're not getting a call back, tell us about your date. We went out to one of my favorite bars. It's next to the water. We got drinks and we got apps. And it was, I thought we had a really great time. She said she had a great time.

It was a beautiful night. We laughed at each other's jokes. But there weren't that many lulls in conversation. It was really good. Well, you talked a lot about the date. But what about her? What was it about her that you liked? The person you mean?

Yeah, specifically, what was it about her? Oh, yeah. She was gorgeous. gorgeous bombshell. Blonde, her eyes were this gorgeous blue. You could swim in. Like a knockout. A literal knockout. Okay, what about her brain?

Could you swim in her brain? Could you take a dip right in her brain? I absolutely could swim in that brain. Ew. What do you mean by that? She's so smart. She's she's this is my like, she has like an Ivy League education. She has an incredible job. She has a lot of money. We could like join our full lives together. It's exactly what I've been looking for. We both work in the same industry. We're just both very naturally charismatic so it wasn't it's not that hard for us i rarely go on dates with people that are so driven and motivated and and uh good

at their jobs it's very refreshing okay i think that somebody who's driven motivated confident all that is very sexy i think most people do most people don't like someone who has no ambition and is not motivated to do anything it's usually usually not what somebody says. Like, I just want someone who wants to lay on the couch all day and do nothing, you know, unless you're my ex. Why do you think she's not calling you back then? If everything seemed great, you guys seemed on the same level, all that. Why do you think she's not calling you back? I did. And one thought is that something happened in her life that just made her unavailable. You know, something maybe family related.

Maybe there was something in my teeth. Maybe my breath stunk. I have no idea. Well, did your breath stink? It's just always a fear of mine. And, you know, sometimes when you like you blow into your hand and you smell your breath. Yeah. You just try to see if there's anything in there.

Yep. On the same page. Yeah. You just try to see if there's anything in there. Yep. On the same page. Yes. But sometimes you don't know if it is real or you're just psyching yourself up. So I don't think it happened because I checked like a couple times

on the date just to make sure. You sicko. Actually during the date. In front of her? Yeah. In front of the bathroom? Or under the table?

Or not at all? Yeah, just don't do that in front of somebody you're on a date with. It's not a crazy amount, but yeah, I checked once or twice. Do you think maybe that's why she's not calling you back? Because you kept smelling your breath in front of her on the date? Yeah. Until you pointed it out, I would have never thought that was a reason. I think that definitely could have been a reason.

Let's go around the room real quick and check. Alex, if we were to go on a date, we have before because Alex and I are married, if you didn't know that, and I was actively smelling my breath to check it in front of you while we were on the date, would you want to go out with me again? No.

No, okay. Christian, same question. No. Producer Bennett, same question. Actually, I'm desperate, so maybe yes. No. Okay. I'll give you a piece of gum though.

She literally said definitely to another date. Definitely. The words, definitely. You've heard nothing from her since? Nothing. And the only thing you can think of is maybe your breath smelled bad. That's it. All right, well, we'll play a song, come back,

and then call her and find out if it was your breath or the fact that you were testing out your breath on the day yeah that's the reason you're not getting a call back well we'll call her next right in the middle of your first date follow-up if you're just joining us james is on the phone and james is in love with a woman named cammy can i say love yet james i mean i feel like i want to say love, James. Can I say love yet? Oh, gosh. No, no. Too soon? I wouldn't jump that far. Well, I'm going to say it anyway. James fell in love with Cammie.

Now Cammie's not calling him back. It's been a week and a half since their date. He's reached out to her a couple times. He says that it was pretty amazing. She had these big blue eyes that you could swim in. He really liked her brain, too. Said he could also take a dip in her brain and would love to swim around in that for a while because she's really smart and motivated they work in the same career he thought that they were on the same level and they were both vibing he got a kiss on the cheek at the end and she said she definitely wanted to go out again and then he's heard nothing

from her and the only reason that james can think of that he's not getting a call back is the fact that he thinks his breath was a little bit funky it could have also been the fact that you were trying to smell your breath actively during the date, which she might have picked up on. Once you said it, yeah, but I didn't see her be weirded out by that. Okay. All right, well, we're going to call her up right now, see if we can get her on the phone, and then hopefully get an answer to why she's not calling you back, and hopefully get you another date since you're in love.

The First Date Follow-Up. It's where you go on a date and you end up ghosting somebody. They can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened. And James emailed us.

He talks a lot. Okay. Maybe that's the reason. Because he talks a lot? Yeah, dude. James is in sales. I mean, we're both in sales, but, um, whoa, James is in sales. Alright, so he's a sales guy. James is a sales guy. Sales. Loving it. Maybe that's the reason, then. He wanted us to call because it's been a week and a half since your date. He's sales. Loving it. Maybe that's the reason then.

Can you tell us why? I actually feel really bad and awkward and I have been putting off calling him back. Huh? You feel bad and awkward? What? Like why? Well, nothing that he did. It's actually kind of what I did.

Okay. What did you do? It's nothing like illegal or anything. While we were on our date, he was talking about this job that he was thinking about applying for. And as he was talking about this job that he was really, really interested in, it hit like all of my points. Like it hit like my degree, my work background. I was actually looking to move more into that field. And so that night after he left, I mean,

I was just like feeling good about myself and was like, heck with it. I'm going to apply for this job. You got the job, huh? His job. They called me and offered me the position. Wow. What? Yeah.

And so I have the job that he wanted, and I don't know how to tell him. And I'm a little, like, I feel like an asshole, honestly. But also, I have a really good job. And he was even saying, like, my background didn't really align to this he's like i know that i didn't have training in this but i would love to learn and i was like that's what i went to college for what i went on three interviews and they still haven't given me a call back i'm sorry what the hell is this oh that's james he's on the other line listening wants to talk to you couldn't wait until i brought him on obviously and sounds like he's a little bit upset so yeah james is line listening, wants to talk to you. Couldn't wait until I brought him on, obviously. And sounds like he's a little bit

upset. So yeah, James is on the phone, wants to talk to you. You took my job? I didn't take your job. I did not take your job. I applied to an open job listing that a guy that I went on a date with happened to mention. And then they gave you the job. You had to go through three interviews?

I went through three interviews three three of them three of them count them three one two three what did you do you know what they say about first impressions you obviously needed to make three so that's why you're not calling back because you got the job that he wanted have they emailed you letting you know they did email me eventually telling me that someone else had accepted the job. What the f***? It's not personal, James. It's just, it's business. I mean, James, it is just business.

And you know how, yeah, you know how sales goes. You know, you can't always ask the D. I'm talking about filling the deal. Filling the deal, people. Come on, get your head out of the gutter. I was like, I should work in sales. So that should make you feel a little better, right? I mean, it is business. that should make you feel better.

And I also feel really awkward if that makes you feel better. Yeah, I just really can't believe I went on a date and then I got my dream job so on the premise. I didn't feel anything. I simply came in with criteria and training and actual education and skills

and apparently I'm a great fit for the team. You might not have fit in well with them. Who knows? I don't know, like three interviews? Seriously? Like they seem desperate to fill, dude. So maybe it's just not your spot. You're so good at talking to people.

Maybe just stay in sales. Wow. Stay in your lane. Thanks for some advice. Let me ask, Kami, would you like to go on another date with James? We'll pay for it. I mean, honestly,

with this new job and getting everything resettled and everything, I'm not really in a good space to be dating anyway right now, so no. That's a no. He's very busy now with this whole new job thing. I completely understand. You know, my new job is tough.
