The Jubal Show on demand.
First date follow up.
Is on the phone today for a first date follow up and she's not getting a call back from it.
Bia, Bia.
Wait, Bia, Bia.
What's the song?
On the floor.
Bia, Bia.
I don't know the song.
Yeah, you do.
It is Lil Jon.
It's Lil Jon?
Yeah.
Is it Lil Jon?
Why are you acting like a,
Bia, Bia.
I'll look for it while we start this
because now I need to hear it.
But Bia, Bia is on the phone.
And she's not getting a call back
from a dude named Ryan.
And they went to a very,
very, very, very classy restaurant
for their first date.
He obviously dropped a lot of cash,
but now he's not calling her back
and I don't know why.
And we're about to find out.
Before we find out about your date, how long has it been since your date?
It's been two months, actually.
Oh, wow.
Two months.
Dang.
Okay.
Yeah.
And how many times have you tried to reach out to him after your date?
A bunch of times.
Like, you know, it's now been a couple of months.
And yeah, he's not responding at all.
And so you're still trying? Yeah. You know, it's been, it's now been a couple of months. And yeah, he just, he's not responding at all.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm still trying to reach him because, you know, we had a great connection and I really like him.
Okay.
Where did you meet him?
So we actually met on Instagram in my friend's comments.
Oh, okay.
We started, yeah, we started flirting there and took it to the DMs and made it a reality.
He hasn't responded to you at all?
He's completely ghosted you since the beginning?
Yeah.
Okay.
Why don't you tell everybody what you did for your date?
So we went to Red Lobster.
I know it's not the fanciest place, but it's one of my favorites.
When I was growing up, if we went to Red Lobster or Sizzler, that was fancy.
You were living.
Yeah, you knew that.
Man, it sounds like you had fun.
Yeah.
Such an amazing time.
But honestly, though, he's perfect.
He's literally my ideal type.
We have similar interests in traveling.
I mean, I would definitely fuck him.
I hear that.
Okay. Do you have an idea of why he might be ghosting you?
Well, I, the only thing I can think of is like,
because I suggested red lobster, like I, you know,
I said it's not like the best food, but I loved it.
And he didn't.
And honestly, I think he might've actually like thrown up.
Oh no.
For real?
Oh no. What makes you think he threw up
well he like it was
so obvious that he didn't like the food
I'm like but like the rest of the date
was so smooth and
it was just that one thing and like we actually left
the restaurant and hung out at a park
so he could like catch his breath
so did he actually
throw up he did
yeah it was kind of gross so he wasn't just full breath. So did he actually throw up? He did, yeah.
It was kind of gross. So he wasn't just
full. He got sick.
Like not food poisoning sick, but like
yeah. Did he go home after that
or did you guys continue the date?
No, we continued the date and he
seemed like he was really into me.
And he said he wanted to
see me again and, okay, don't make fun
of me, but like we made out after he threw up.
Ew!
That is nasty.
Honey!
Maybe he's not calling you back
because you were okay with doing that.
I'm really feeling it.
That's real love, okay?
Did he brush his teeth first?
Mouthwash?
Anything mouthwash gum?
I'm going to throw up.
There was some time that elapsed
before we made out. Oh man, I don't get grossed out by stuff like I'm going to throw up. There was some time that elapsed before we made out.
Oh man,
that,
I don't get grossed out
by stuff like that.
And to throw up seafood
and then make out?
Even worse.
And by the way,
I have that song.
Okay,
when you say it like that.
I have that song
that we were talking about earlier.
So this is the song.
Bia,
Bia.
Bia,
Bia.
Bia, Bia. Bia, Bia Bia, bia Bia, bia
What? I can't even hear it
Red lobster
Alright, so that's your song
I didn't know if you know that or not
We're listening to this afterwards
Back to the throw up make out
Yeah, it wasn't like directly after he threw up
There was some time in between
Stale crush Stale at that point though Yeah, it wasn't like directly after he threw up, you know, there was some time in between.
Stale at that point, though.
I'd rather have fresh throw up than stale throw up.
Let's move on.
All right.
Maybe he's not calling you back because you kissed him after he threw up.
Maybe he was that disgusted.
We'll find out.
We'll find out.
We'll play a song and then come back and then call him and get your first date follow up right after this.
Okay?
Okay. All right. Thank you. Good luck. We'll see if we can figure it out. We'll play a song and then come back and then call him and get your first date follow up right after this. Okay? Okay.
Thank you. Good luck. We'll see if we can figure it out.
Everybody go do something to make their stomachs a little less queasy.
We'll be back. We'll play a song, come back, get your first date
follow up next. It's the Jubal Show.
In the middle of today's first date follow up and
if you just joined us, you missed
out on
something that happened on Bia's
first date with a dude named Ryan that we think
might be one of the reasons that she's not getting a call
back, but Bia is on the phone, and
she doesn't know why she's not getting a call back from
a guy named Ryan that she went on a date with. They went
to Red Lobster, because it's one of
her favorite restaurants. She knows it's not the
fanciest joint in the world, but she wanted to go
there. They ate a bunch. He
actually got sick and threw up
after, and they still
made out later on.
Oh, s***.
With no toothbrushing in between.
So that was the part that grossed everybody out.
Cannot. And Bia doesn't
understand why he's not calling her back because she thought
the date was amazing. It's been two months actually
and she can't stop thinking about him. So she wants
us to call, find out why he's not calling her back,
and see if we can get her another date.
And you really like this dude.
Yeah, I like him a lot.
I mean, he was super dope, and we had this amazing connection,
and I really want to figure out what happened.
Okay, well, let's see if we can figure it out.
We're going to call his phone number right now and see if he answers.
Here we go. hello hi may i speak to ryan please uh yeah this is ryan how are you man this is the jubal show
it's a radio show my name is jubal my name is alex i'm christ Christian Gray Snow. I don't know what's going on. What's happening?
Well, it's a radio show. It's called The Jubal Show. We do a segment on our show called The First Date Follow-Up.
That's where if you go out on a date with someone and you end up not calling them back, they can email us
and get you on the phone and find out what happened. And you recently went on a date with one of our listeners
and she's confused because you've been ghosting her.
Oh, okay.
Do you know who we're talking about?
Um, I might have an idea.
I'll give you a hint, okay?
Her name is...
Bia Bia!
Bia Bia!
Oh, Bia, okay.
It's Bia.
Yeah, if you didn't catch on.
Remember her? Yeah, if I had known that song, I might have used. It's Bia. Yeah, if we didn't catch on. Do you remember her?
Yeah, if I had known that song, I might have used that on my first date.
Missed opportunity for sure.
Yeah, it is, definitely.
Yeah, this is bizarre.
It's been like two months.
She told us all about your date, but she also said that it's been two months.
She said that she really liked you a lot, and she's been thinking about you ever since,
and she wants to know why you're not calling her back. So would you mind telling us
why you're not calling Bia Bia back?
Well, truthfully,
I was just out of a really bad relationship
and it's hard to put in words,
but she was almost like too good to be true.
It kind of scared me, you know?
It went so well.
I mean, I threw up and everything and she didn't freak she didn't freak out. She didn't like make fun of
me or embarrass me. I mean, I was really, um, I don't know. It's just, it's been so long since
I've been in like a real connected relationship, you know, it kind of scared me off. Yeah. Why
would you run from that? Sounds like a good thing. Sometimes, you know, I guess you get afraid of really connecting with somebody after you've been through something where you try to be with somebody and then things don't turn out the way you thought they were going to turn out.
And it really hurts you.
So you got hurt in your last relationship?
Yeah, it was pretty bad.
Okay.
I ran away.
You know, it wasn't really a good move on my part.
Do you want to be in a relationship eventually, like a good one?
You know, truthfully, yes.
I think it's just like, I don't know, you get scared and then you run away.
And that's kind of been a pattern for a little bit.
And it's like, Bia was the best thing that happened for a while.
And I think sometimes you're scared of things that are good for you.
You can't run from Bia
Bia right now because she's actually on the phone
listening and wants to talk to you.
Oh, are you serious? Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
Yay!
Bia Bia!
Hi Ryan.
I can't run forever, can I?
No, you can't. Bia found you. She ran after you.
Oh my God. That, that actually, that kind of means a lot.
Hey Ryan.
You tracked me down like this. That's crazy.
It was worth it.
Ryan, it is crazy. Like I,
I really had no idea that you were feeling the same way I was feeling.
It's bonkers to hear you say that. Yeah. I mean, honestly, like I was just so scared and then I
ran away, but like having said everything with you hearing it kind of takes a load off my shoulders.
You know, I don't think at the time when I met you, I don't think I was ready to like get into like a relationship with somebody. But, you know, I've had time to process things. And like, you know, you kind of do pop up in my mind every once in a while. I do feel bad ignoring you. It's something hearing you say that like I was I was really bummed like that you
didn't text me back and honestly I almost like gave up red lobster which for me is insane
I didn't realize it was that deep no joke um but like but real talk though like Ryan I
I'm totally willing to take it one step at a time. Like there's, you know, I don't want to rush into this.
I know what you've been through and I just think this could be something
really,
really great.
Ryan,
would you like to go on another date with Bia?
We'll pay for it.
Oh,
yes,
absolutely.
I promise.
I'm not going to wait.
We did it.
That's great.
Yes.
Hey,
congratulations.
Guess what?
Bia, Bia. You guys are going out again
congratulations
and congratulations
have fun guys
we'll check back with you guys and see how everything worked out
and hopefully it goes just as good as you guys think it will go
maybe there will be a wedding in your future
and then there will be a wedding in your future. Oh!
And then there'll be a kid.
And then there'll be another one.
And then there'll be our celebration that we come to attend.
Because we put y'all together.
Exactly.
But for right now, let's just have it be a second date.
So don't get too crazy.
Don't get too crazy.
Like Bia said, one step at a time.
