First day follow-up. Chris is on the phone today for a first day follow-up, and he's not getting a call back from Shadia Apparently they went for coffee And now She's never been heard from again Chris What did you do?

Yeah before we get into the date How long has it been since your date with Shadia? It's been a few weeks Yeah Two weeks Not feeling great about it How many times have you reached out to her to try to get a hold of her since your date?

Oh, you know, not keeping track, but seven, eight, nine. What? What? Maybe. What, are you just texting? Yeah, I mean, well, I'll call here or two, you know, a couple there.

I get a little nervous. You're at least blocking the caller ID, so she doesn't know. Right, no shame. Well, one time I did that, yeah. He's blocking the caller ID. So she doesn't know. Right. No shame. Well, one time I did that. Yeah. Well,

uh, me and Shadi had met on Tinder. Um, and she like works more downtown and she's got a little bit less flexible, the schedule. So we met, um, kind of just like a coffee day by her work and I thought it went pretty well, but obviously it's been a couple

of weeks and she hasn't been calling me back. So I've had, you know, a little bit of time to think about it. And as I said, I, I was, uh, reaching out to her, but I didn't think it was that much, but I've been thinking about what it might be. And, you know, like I'm a little bit more remote, but I get harassed a lot by my work all the time, especially over the weekend. I'll just be getting like random texts and everything. So I was looking at my phone a little bit here and there,

which is also why I don't find it that weird to, you know, hit somebody up a little bit. And four, it could have been the drink I ordered. What? What did you order? Just a triple shot medium white mocha with like one pump of classic syrup, extra pump of white mocha, 140 degrees. It's not, I mean, it's not

crazy. Like people I work for. I have a crazy coffee order, so that's not too bad. I mean, I feel like that's a pretty normal thing to have. I mean, people are, yeah, people are very particular with their coffee. I mean, I feel like that's a pretty normal thing to have. People are very particular with their coffee. I mean, I don't know if she could see that as high maintenance. I was thinking maybe you ordered like a unicorn fruity pebble drink or whatever, something like that, like a 13-year-old would order. I don't even know what that would be.

Unicorn frappuccino? Yeah, it's pretty normal, you know, maybe a little high maintenance. Well, did she say something when you ordered it? Is that why you think that? Well, no, but I don't know. Maybe she thought it was high maintenance or something. But, you know, I was really into her and, you know, felt like we would have a second date. And she is, like, gorgeous.

Like, really, really, really, really dope. And I don't know. The conversation was flowing better than it had with other, you know, people I've met in the dating space and things I've gone on. And so I don't know. Well, how did everything end with her?

Well, I've replayed it in my mind a few times and i think that the option was not there right away so i didn't even really have time like there was a hard cheek yeah i don't know she kind of like lingered there she kind of lingered there while i was hugging her so okay she didn how it is. She didn't pull away. It wasn't an awkward hug.

And did she talk to you at all after? After the hug, yeah. No, no, no, after the date. Like, after you tried to text her 25 times. Well, she said a couple, yeah, she said, you know, she's pretty busy and she did have a good time and, you know, she would let busy. And she did have a good time. And, you know, she would let me know.

And she didn't. Okay. Well, she's busy. She's a very busy girl. All right. Well, we'll try to figure it out for you. She has a very, you know, tough schedule at work. I mean, it doesn't sound like anything was that bad.

But we'll play a song, come back, and then call her and get your first day follow-up next. Okay? All right. all right. Here's 106.1, your home for commercial-free weekends. In the middle of your first date follow-up, and if you're just joining us, Chris is on the phone, and he went on a date with a woman named Shadia. They actually met by her work for coffee, and he says that everything was great. He doesn't know why she's not calling back.

It's been two weeks. He's reached out to her 2,700 times and heard nothing back. Exaggerating a little bit. I want to know what you said in these texts. Maybe that's why you're not getting a call back. Well, maybe she didn't get them. Maybe. The reasons that Chris thinks he's not getting a call

back could be because of his coffee order. It's kind of a high-maintenance order, and he thinks maybe that she saw his coffee order and was like, man, this guy has a lot to deal with, or the fact that he was on his phone a little bit because he was getting work phone calls and texts and stuff like that so other than that chris thinks the date went well he thought the conversation he thought the conversation was great he got a kiss on the cheek that was pretty close to the mouth after and doesn't understand why he's being ghosted we're gonna call right now and see if we can figure it out see see if we can get you another date. chris and you went on a date with him oh okay yeah yeah it's a first date follow-up you know how if you go on a if you go on a date with someone and they're ghosting them they can email us to get you on the phone and ask what happened so chris emailed us and said he met you for coffee he thought you had a really good time he had a great time and you haven't talked to him in like two weeks since the date. And he's reached out to you a lot of times, probably too much. We already told him that. He says you haven't responded to anything. So he's wondering why you're not calling him back.

To be honest, the reason why I haven't called him back is while we were on our date, we were at a coffee shop by my by my my workplace and um while we were on the date everything was fine um but actually my co-worker came up to me the the the next day and she had saw us on our date and she had told me uh just like just like being completely like honest with me and being a good friend, she just told me that

she honestly felt like he was kind of like way out of my league and it kind of made me feel a little self-conscious about seeing him again, so I just decided to ghost him. Wait, someone told you that he was out of your league? Yeah.

Like he's too hot for you no no sorry that i'm like too hot for him oh okay that you're out of his league i guess i'm out of his league yeah sorry sorry i mean well what do you think i mean while we were on the date, like it felt like, like I, I did not find him like initially, like, like my typical, like my usual type, but I, I mean,

I really did enjoy our conversation and I felt like we got along really well, but I don't know, like not, I guess like after she said that, I kind of like looked back at it and like kind of realized like, Oh, I don't think it's really worth like

hanging out again okay but you felt differently until she said that yeah i mean i feel like if you like him then you should just go after like what you feel inside not what other people think yeah that's true i just like i don't know if I could like find myself to be like, I just want to be with someone that I'm like really attracted to and not just like personality.
