Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an iHeart Podcast. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro all combined. What happens when three brothers take on right-wing media and start winning? I find out on the latest episode of Next Question with me, Katie Couric. We just want people to live their lives and be happy and be able to enjoy it without some, you know, lunatics screaming in their face every three seconds.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Listen to Next Question with me, Katie Couric, on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You know who it is, Brandon Kyle Goodman. But this Pride Month, call me Messy Mother. On my podcast, Tell Me Something Messy, I'm diving into all the juicy stories and sizzling hot tea that'll make you want to live your life liberated and free.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Nothing is off the table for our messy kikis. Plus, I'll be joined by star-studded guests like T.S. Madison and dragging messy stories out of guests like the one and only Katya. Ooh, I can't wait to get messy with you. Listen to Tell Me Something Messy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. I've seen a lot of stuff over 30 years, you know, some very despicable crime and things that are kind of tough to wrap your head around.
Starting point is 00:01:22 And this ranks right up there in the pantheon of Rhode Island fraudsters. I've always been told I'm a really good listener, right? And I maximized that while I was lying. Listen to deep cover, The Truth About Sarah on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You say you never give in to a meltdown. or wherever you get your podcasts. You never lick your thumb to clean their face. And you'd never let them leave the house looking like, uh, less than their best.
Starting point is 00:02:10 You say you'd never put a pacifier in your mouth to clean it. Never let them stay up too late. And never let them run wild through the grocery store. So when you say you'd never let them get into a car without you there, no, it can happen. One in four hot car deaths happen when a kid gets into an unlocked car and can't get out. Never happens before you leave the car. Always stop. Look.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Lock. Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council. First date of follow up powered by the advocates injury attorneys online at advocateslaw.com. Britt is on the phone today for a first date follow up. She's getting ghosted by a dude named Sean. So in a few minutes, we're going to get him on the phone and see if he'll tell us why he's ghosting her and maybe get her another date if she still wants one. But Britt, before we talk about your date, how long has it been since you heard from Sean? Uh, for, again, 12 days. You know, we're not counting, right? I'm sorry, that sucks. Where, how did you meet Sean? Um, online.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Um, on an app or something else? Oh, um, and it's the only dating app I've ever really tried and then I've heard good things. No, I have too. That makes sense. Yeah. Let's go back to the date though. Can you tell us about that? Well, it was good at first because we like met at one of those like fun bars where there's
Starting point is 00:03:36 like, you know, bar games and he was paying for stuff, you know, like he was getting our drinks and I was winning a pool. So it was fun. And it was like a flirty good time. And you know, we even like kissed. Okay, we made out at the bar. Was there any moment where something weird happened why you might be getting ghosted?
Starting point is 00:03:58 Okay, so I didn't plan this or anything at all, but a group of my friends showed up and they, you know, came and played a round of darts with us. And that's the only thing I can think of because I mean, he left shortly after, but he had to, he said he had to like get up for work or whatever. Like how are the vibes when he left? He like kind of just was like, Oh, I realized what time it is. I have to go. So he like left kind of abruptly. But like, you know, I was definitely like including him and then like it was, I thought it was like going fine.
Starting point is 00:04:29 So I didn't think that would have been it. Were your friends kind of monopolizing your time at that point? No, no. It's like, I think like we were just all hanging out. Like the only reason that could have been awkward is just because they had never met before. She was like a first date, but I think it went fine. Like I even like text him that night to apologize that they shut up, but I thanked him for like being cool and said I couldn't like to see him again.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Did he say anything back to that or was that the last time you heard from him? No, he text me back the next morning. So that's why I was like, oh yeah, he must have gone home, gone to sleep early because he woke up, text me, he's like, yeah, I had fun, and then go. Is it possible he's dated any of your friends?
Starting point is 00:05:11 None of them said anything about that, so. I mean, it also could be just awkward. I mean, Victoria, remember when you had that date and you ran into your friends? Oh, that was awkward. It almost feels like pressure in that moment, right? Like, yeah. Yeah, because you're already meeting their friends. And you're just not ready to go that far.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Well, so it's the very first date. So like you're meeting their friends and you're like, um, okay, this is weird, but hi, like you're introducing yourself and yeah, that's kind of weird. Well, that's besides the point though. So if that's what happened and then he goes ghost, like something had to have happened in that interaction, were there guy friends there too? So it was like guys and girls. No, I just think of the girls. And what was the last thing he said to you?
Starting point is 00:05:50 He said that he had fun and I did like try texting him within those 12 days like one or two more times. All right, well we'll see if we can figure it out for you then. We'll play a song, come back and then call him and see if he'll tell us why he's ghosting you and maybe get you another date, okay? Okay, thanks. All right, we'll play a song, come back, get your first date follow up next. I'm Andrea Gunning, host of the podcast Betrayal. Police Lieutenant Joel Kern used his badge to fool everyone. Most of all, his wife Caroline.
Starting point is 00:06:21 He texted, I've ruined our lives. You're going to want to divorce me. Caroline's husband was living another life behind the scenes. He betrayed his oath to his family and to his community. She said you left bruises, pulled her hair, that type of thing. No. How far would Joel go to cover up what he'd done? You're unable to keep track of all your lies, and quite frankly, No. How far would Joel go to cover up what he'd done?
Starting point is 00:06:45 You're unable to keep track of all your lies, and quite frankly, I question how many other women may bring forward allegations in the future. This season of Betrayal investigates one officer's decades of deception. Lies that left those closest to him questioning everything they thought they knew. Listen to Betrayal on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network beat Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Charlie Kirk,
Starting point is 00:07:16 and Ben Shapiro all combined. Conservative podcasts can have a major political impact, but the Mycelus brothers, three siblings siblings with a serious media strategy, are building an alternative to that. On the latest episode of Next Question with Katie Couric, I sat down with the brothers behind the Midas Touch Network to talk about how they built a progressive media powerhouse from the ground up, why audience interaction is the key to political influence, and what it takes to fight disinformation at scale,
Starting point is 00:07:47 one download at a time. We should be focusing on the issues that actually occupy a lot of the mental space in Americans' minds, but are filled with conspiracies, and we should fill it with the truth and solutions. Listen to Next Question with me, Katie Couric, on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:08:09 You know who it is, Brandon Kyle Goodman. But this Pride Month, call me Messy Mother. On my podcast, Tell Me Something Messy, I'm diving into all the juicy stories and sizzling hot tea that'll make you want to live your life liberated and free. Nothing is off the table for our messy geekies, be it cringy dates, best sex practices, family drama or cultivating self-love. Plus, I'll be joined by star-studded guests like T.S. Madison. How can we not judge ourselves?
Starting point is 00:08:39 You just gotta tell yourself, like, girl, how old are you, bitch? And I love me a lot because... Oh, you do. Bitch, I love these motherfucking back rolls. What are these? What are these back rolls? And dragging messy stories out of guests like the one and only Katya. I also got into the habit of wearing butt plugs to the gym. Tell me about that.
Starting point is 00:09:00 And I also work out with butt plugs in quite a bit because, like... Tell me, tell me everything. Well, it's just that first, it feels good. Yes. And then second, out with butt plugs in quite a bit because like- Tell me, tell me everything. Well, it's just, first it feels good. Yes. And then second, it's like my little secret. TMI, please tell me more. Every week we'll create a compassionate space to share the fullness of who we are.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Oh, I can't wait to get messy with you. Listen to Tell Me Something Messy on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. She was a decorated veteran, a Marine who saved her comrades, a hero. She was stoic, modest, tough, someone who inspired people. Everyone thought they knew her, until they didn't. Everyone thought they knew her, until they didn't. I remember sitting on her couch and asking her,
Starting point is 00:09:49 is this real? Is this real? Is this real? Is this real? I just couldn't wrap my head around what kind of person would do that to another person that was getting treatment, that was, you know, dying. This is a story all about trust and about a woman named Sarah Kavanaugh. I've always been told I'm a really good listener, right? And I maximized that while I was lying. Listen to Deep Cover, The Truth About Sarah on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:10:24 First date of follow up. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts First date of follow-up Powered by the advocates injury attorneys online at advocates law.com Right in the middle of your first date follow-up if you're just joining us Britt is on the phone and she's getting ghosted by a Dude named Sean so we're about to call him and see if he'll tell us why he's ghosting and maybe get her another date But before we do that Britt, why don't you remind everybody of the situation with Sean? Okay, guys, I went out on a date with Sean, who I met online, and we were having a super fun
Starting point is 00:10:56 first date at a bar, and then randomly ran into a group of my girlfriends, played some darts with them, and then Sean left, briefly texted me back once and then ghosted me. And I don't know why, cause it was a great first date. Well, we're about to get him on the phone and find out why. You ready? Ready.
Starting point is 00:11:14 All right, here we go. Hello? Hi, may I speak to Sean, please? Speaking. Who is this? Sean, how are you? My name is Jubal and I'm on a radio show called The Jubal Show. Hi, Sean. I'm Nina, also on the show.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Hi, and I'm Victoria. So this is a radio show called The Jubal Show. How are you? I'm okay. I haven't talked to the radio. What's this about? Do you ever listen to the show at all? I'm okay. I haven't talked to the radio. What's this about? Do you ever listen to the show at all? I am not familiar with your guys, with your guys' show now.
Starting point is 00:11:53 All right. Well, now you will be, I guess. But we do a segment on the show and it's called the first date follow-up. That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and then end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and and then end up ghosting them, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. Okay. We got an email about you from a girl named Britt. Oh, Britt.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Okay, wow. That's a, yeah, I can understand why she might wanna get some answers. Yeah, she said it's been 12 days since you guys went out and the last thing you texted her was had fun. So what's up? Yeah. I definitely did have to take a step back
Starting point is 00:12:37 and just give her some space after the last time we went out. Why is that? It's not her. And I'm not sure if she told you this, but when we were out, we ran into some of her friends and uh, she wasn't giving them more attention. She was giving me issues, making sure that she was being fair to both parties and being, you know, being on a date with me. She just happened running to her friends, but uh, it is because of her friend, Sabrina. Okay. We use, yeah, we used to hook up and Sabrina at one point in time.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Yeah, I know. This is, this is like two years ago, but Sabrina at one point in time, uh, cornered me and basically was like, Oh my God, I'm so good to see you. I'm so happy to be here to date and all this other good stuff. And then, yeah. Ask me if I wanted to have a threesome. Whoa, what? With her friend or?
Starting point is 00:13:31 Well, Sabrina and Brittany, both at the same time. I wonder if she knows that. Yeah, she wanted a little bit of space. It was a little weird. Wait, so you think Britt knows about that? I would guess that she does cause you know, girl talk. Um, I feel like that came up in the conversation at some point in time.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I don't really know what to say about that. It's like, I mean, you know, it wasn't, it just, you know, maybe a little uncomfortable around the group dynamic. So you don't get down like that or I, I, I, I get competitive during, uh, during those types of things and yeah I'm not good at food projects I like folks who show me what my job is. Alright I can see that yeah you know hey thank you for being on Aashan I appreciate it. Yeah didn't see that coming. No not at all and I want to let you know that Britt is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.
Starting point is 00:14:21 phone listening and wants to talk to you. Uh, what? Okay. Uh, Hey Britt. Hey, I wish someone would have told me that I had no idea. You had no idea that he used to hook up with your friend Sabrina or that she asked him to have a threesome. Neither. I'm not that good at friends with Sabrina.
Starting point is 00:14:41 She is like a friend of a friend. So I don't know. I only really see her in group settings. I don't know why she said that and also I don't know why she would want to include me in that Hung out with her Of course everybody's gonna have a place with me I'm not gonna technically steal her date if I include I'll ask him first cuz guys will be down and then I'll approach her She's like, I'm not going to technically steal her date if I include her process. I'll ask him first because guys will be down and then I'll approach her. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Yeah, the only thing we've ever done together is like go to a Taylor Swift concert, like a ton of us, but. That's a little different than a reason. But yeah. So you didn't know anything about that at all? No, I didn't hear that from our mutual friend. I didn't hear anything from her like if anything I feel like I would have heard from her on Instagram, but no nothing and Really like I said, she's not my close of friends. So that's like
Starting point is 00:15:39 Whatever you guys have it. I don't care. I'd still love a second chance with you John did are you like gonna hook up with Sabrina? What's happening? I've done that already. Didn't wanna keep doing that. Would like to go on a second date. Just the two of us though, no sir. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:03 So John, you would like to go out with again. Yeah. That would be awesome. Especially after the holidays. But if that, if that could be a thing, you guys, the whole thing about it, just, you know, mean her type, intimate setting versus the, uh, the group aspect of it. I think that would be great. You don't care that he's hooked up with Sabrina?
Starting point is 00:16:27 No, he's had it with him in the past. And okay. You want another date, Britt? Yeah, maybe we could do dinner or something where there's only room for two of us in the booth. Oh, you're playing from threesomes of this wholesome dinner conversation. They're going to be the only person going on a second date in the restaurant who's demanding that they just make sure it's a table for two. That's it. Nobody else at the table. When the waitress comes up, they're like, no.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Yeah, no. We know what you're after. No, we're trying to go out with each other. Well, congratulations. You guys got another date. Excellent. Thanks guys. Jubel's first day follow-up. So in the last month, the Midas Touch Network
