First date follow-up.
Noisy tummies
can ruin dates.
Yeah, especially yours. You would know, Jubal.
Yes, I do. I have stomach issues. I don't
date anymore, obviously, but when I used to date,
like if I had a first date, I wouldn't eat for a week.
Just water to prep for it because noisy tummies and upset tummies can ruin a first date. And
that's why Zeke thinks he's not getting a call back from a girl named Amara. Zeke, what's up?
How are you? I'm all right. How are you doing? Not bad. Are we talking to you or we're not
going to be interrupted by your tummy or anything while we're on the phone are we i sure hope not but yeah it's uh i i'm usually pretty good with uh everything but sometimes you don't know what
what happens and it just kind of takes over i'm intrigued we'll get to the uh tummy thing in a
second that you mentioned in your email first of all tell us about amara where'd you meet her
um well we met uh online you know, dating app.
We had been talking a while, kind of getting, you know, vibing each other out.
Then we finally decided to... Wait, you vibed each other out before you even met?
Yeah.
Wow.
Good job.
Well, I mean, we met, you know, online and we decided we'd, you know, like to hang out
and we went to a drive-in movie, which, you know, kind of a romantic thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's cool.
I mean, you can't go to real movies right now, so. No, yeah. I mean, a drive-in movie is still, you know, kind of a romantic thing. Yeah. That's cool. I mean, you can't go to real movies right now. So no, yeah. I mean, a drive-in movie is still a real
movie. I hadn't been to a drive-in in a long time. So I was like super excited. And I'm also
thinking like, maybe that was a little bit of the, you know, it was like, it was first date and
first time doing this thing in a while. So I think we had some popcorn and I don't know how old that butter, you know, stuff popcorn maker is at the drive in theater.
And and so I am not blaming it on that.
But it was something after we started, like, you know, just sitting there watching the movie.
And I I had to end it early because I was, you know, I was kind of getting messed up down there.
And you start not to feel good.
I started not to feel good? I started not to feel good, and I didn't want to just be a complainer,
but I wanted to, you know, I couldn't just suffer through it
because of the potential of something other happening.
When you said you ended the date early, like you didn't even finish the movie?
Yeah, I was like, look, I'm kind of sick to my stomach,
and I'm sorry to have to do this, but I'm going to have to go.
That would be a bad first impression, like, hey,
hanging out with you has made me sick to my stomach.
I need to end this date right now.
You know, and I haven't heard from her, and I'm like, oh.
When do I?
I mean, we were having a good time, though.
Yeah.
But do you think that she thinks that you didn't like her
and that you just wanted to end it and blamed it on that?
Well, I could see somebody thinking that, but that's not the case.
And that's why I'm kind of worried.
I knew when I had to tell her that I wasn't feeling well,
how is she going to read this?
Did you explain to her?
Yeah, I mean, I explained enough.
You know, I didn't say I was going to.
Go into graphic detail.
Yeah, no wonder she's not going to be back.
Oh, my God, if you don't get out of this car quick, trust me.
Well, yeah, I mean, imagine if I would have stayed in
and other things happened, that wouldn't have panned out.
So have you tried to reach out to her since the date,
and is she just, like, not getting back to you at all?
Yeah, that's it.
She's sort of a bit of a ghost sesh.
And I don't...
I gotcha.
Because I really liked her and thought, you know, she was cool.
And I...
So how long has it been since your date?
And how many times have you tried to reach out to her?
It's been about like a week and a half.
And I would say, you know, I'm not, I will, I reached out to her a couple of times since,
you know, I'm not trying to go crazy about it, but I've just been, you know,
lobbing them to, to see if I could get any sort of response or anything. But,
right. Um, I haven't been, that's why I emailed you guys because,
and I'm assuming no kiss or anything at the end of your date?
No.
There's none of that.
We did give a hug and it was fine, but it wasn't ideal.
She didn't squeeze you too tight.
I would love another shot because I felt that I didn't
represent myself properly and it wasn't, you know.
Okay.
Well, we'll play a song and then come back and call her and get your first date follow
up right after this.
All right.
Cool.
It's a Jubal show.
Zeke is on the phone.
And if you missed the first part of today's first date follow up, Zeke thinks he's not
getting a call back from a girl named Amara because he had some popcorn.
Doesn't sound like a big deal, but apparently Zeke's belly doesn't like butter, or at least
the butter that was on the popcorn.
They went to a drive-in movie.
He said that he ate some popcorn and then like in the middle of it, his stomach started
going crazy and he knew that he had to end the date.
Otherwise, things could have gone even worse.
That sucks.
And so he thinks he's not getting a call back because it
might have looked like he just wasn't interested.
Zeke, are you about ready to call Amara
and see if that's the reason?
Yeah, I am. Thanks, guys.
You haven't had any popcorn, have you, Zeke,
before this call?
No, I haven't. I've been popcorn
free ever since. Yeah, we don't want to be in for
another crappy ending.
Yes, that was wonderful. Thank you very much another crappy ending. Oh! Yes, that was
wonderful. Thank you very much, English7.
Well, on that note, I'll call right now. I mean, it's not going to get
better than that. Alright, here we go.
Hello? Hi, may I speak to Amara,
please? This is she.
Hey, Amara, how are you? This is Jubal
from The Jubal Show.
I'm sorry, from what show?
The Jubal Show.
It's a radio show.
You ever heard of it?
No.
Well, it consists of me.
My name's Jubal.
My hot ass wife, Alex Farias.
Hello.
English, Evan.
Hello.
Three of us are on the phone right now with you.
Okay.
How are you?
I'm fine, but would like to know what is happening.
Well, we do a segment on our show where if you go out on a date with someone
and then end up not calling them back,
that person can email us and ask us to call you to figure out what happened.
And we recently got an email about you from a guy named Zeke.
Oh, my.
Oh, my.
I think it's odd that he called a radio show, but okay.
Well, he said that, yeah, he said you ghosted him. So, um, he wants to find out why.
Uh, well, did you like Zeke at all? Yeah, I did. I, um, we had a date and it was,
it was fine. He, he cut the date short because he wasn't feeling well.
Okay.
I felt bad. He didn't feel good.
Okay. Well, he thinks that that's the reason you're not calling him back is because he ended the date early.
He said that he was having some stomach issues.
No.
No.
That's not it?
That's not what happened.
Really?
Okay.
So what happened?
Well, after the date, I went home and did what everyone does now, which is I went to check on his social media.
And his Instagram, I mean, I knew that he was a photographer, but on his Instagram, I noticed that the only pictures that he takes are of women.
And it was just women, no men but and not just
beautiful women which is which is fine like beautiful women are great but like it was just
it was a lot and it was very classic beauty standards it was just it felt superficial i did
not appreciate it and i was just kind of turned off like, you know,
women in bikinis, like a real photographer or an Instagram photographer, right? Cause there's a
difference. Entrepreneur. Yeah. So those guys that just hit up hot girls on Instagram and go,
Hey, I bought a camera last week and I'm a photographer. You want to come to my place
for a photo shoot? Right. I was turned off. Okay. So you're saying that you're not calling him back
because he's a photographer and all he takes pictures of is females and you're not okay with that? As a feminist. It's just like
they're all skinny, blonde, perfect little like, you know, everything that I would not want my to
tell if I had a daughter or something. I would not want her to think that that's the only beautiful
and they're all in bikinis and it's just it's just distasteful. Yeah. I don't know.
The more that I scrolled, the worse it got because there's literally not one image of
a man.
There's, he hasn't taken any pictures of men.
They don't look professional.
I mean, he told me he was a photographer, but like he didn't tell me I'm a creepy guy
with a camera that doesn't want to photograph scantily fat women.
Unfortunately, because of social media, creepy guys with cameras now call themselves photographers.
And they have like a day job working at a tech company or something.
But in the evening, they convince people to come over and take pictures.
And that's what you felt like he was?
Yeah.
I mean, that's the vibe I got from the pictures I was seeing.
Well, I'd love to ask him if he's a legit photographer
or if he's one of these creepy internet photography dudes.
Wouldn't you?
Not really.
Okay, well.
I don't really have an interest in talking to him again.
That's unfortunate because he's actually on the other line listening and wants to talk to you.
What? Seriously?
Yep. Unless he had to go to the bathroom. Zeke?
Oh, hey Amara.
I didn't realize that was the reason and I don't, you know, I actually did go to the bathroom. Zeke? Oh, hey, Amara. I didn't realize that was the reason, and I don't, you know,
I actually did go to photography school,
and, you know, whether you don't like my pictures or not
or my subject matter, I think it's kind of offensive
to be judged solely on that for my creative pursuits
and the things that I invest my time in. Um,
just because it's just because it's, uh, I only take photographs of women. That doesn't mean
that I'm creepy or anything. I'm not like we hung out. You saw that I wasn't creepy.
It's not like I'm photographing people in secret. Like I would understand like,
Oh, this doesn't look like this person even knew their photos being taken.
I'm actually reaching out to people and they're reaching out to me to get their photo taken.
Okay.
That's great for you.
Doesn't sound like she believes you, Zeke.
Do you have any other job that's not photography?
Photography is not my main source of income.
Oh, here we go.
I have a really good camera and I enjoy taking pictures and I don't see.
Of women?
Well, to scrutinize somebody, whatever they do, it's sort of like, okay, you don't have
to like what I do.
I don't care that you don't like what I do.
Zeke, are your pictures featured anywhere?
Like, have they gotten traction yet?
Well, actually, there's a couple of Instagram pages that have reached out to me saying that they'd like to collab.
And I've also,
you know,
I don't have to defend myself for what I,
what I choose to do creatively.
I was just wondering why.
Okay.
Well,
now,
you know,
and,
um,
luckily you can fill your time up with trolling Instagram to find a new model
for your next shoot.
I mean,
well,
don't,
don't be so quick to end things there, Amara.
I still have to ask you
if you'd like to go on another date
with Zeke.
We'll pay for it.
I am going to pass.
Thank you.
Didn't see that coming.
Yeah, that's cool.
I mean, you know,
the reason why I wasn't
going to ask you to take a,
you know, a picture of you
is because you're not
that attractive anyway. Oh, Zeke. I don't think that's true to take a picture of you is because you're not that attractive anyway.
Oh, Zeke.
I don't think that's true, probably.
Yeah, probably not.
Wow.
Judging by all of your posts, I will take that as a compliment.
All right, fine.
Don't come calling me when I'm some famous photographer.
Good luck, Zeke, in the future.
Okay, what do you think?
Pervert or professional?
Hey, that should be a fun game that we play online.
Professional.
Zeke, a perv or a pro?
Alex?
Perv.
Perv, okay.
English Evan?
I think he's an up-and-coming pro, but is starting as a perv.
Perv turned pro.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think he's a perv that might turn pro.
Probably not, though.
