First day follow-up.
This never happens to me.
What?
Not this right here
This happens all the time
We do them all the time
It's a first date follow up
And that's the title
The subject
Of the email
That we got
From the dude
On the phone today
Who's not getting
A call back
His name is Nick
And he sent an email
Because he's getting
Blown off
By a woman named
Leah I guess
And his subject line
Said this never happens
To me
I guess he never gets ghosted.
Oh, we've heard this before.
Yeah, we have heard that before.
So what's up, Nick, man?
How are you?
We've heard that before from people that they never get ghosted.
I mean, I don't know about how those other people are, but I'm being really sincere.
I wish I could say that I had a similar past like other people do, but normally girls do get back to me.
You know, they typically have a good time.
They typically like to follow up.
All right.
So are you typically the ghoster?
Not to say I'm the ghoster, but like, yeah, you know, I'll stop answering a person or whatever, you know, like it's just how it goes.
But this girl, this girl is just so beautiful.
And I thought she was really having a good time.
Okay.
Well, before we get all into that that how long has it been since you
talked to her? It's been about about two weeks now. Two weeks okay that's yeah
that's a long time. How many times you reached out to her in that two weeks?
I've been playing it casual, I've been playing it casual. I've only reached out to her
about three maybe four times since then. Okay.
So what did you guys do for your date?
We went out, we had some food, had some dinner, chatted a bunch.
I decided it would be cool to take her by the nightclub I own.
You know, girls usually like to see the scene there.
You own a nightclub?
One of those guys.
I do.
I do.
Yeah, yeah.
It's been a couple of years now.
We do okay.
We do okay. Okay. Did you take her there in the Lamborghini? No, Yeah, yeah. It's been a couple of years now. We do okay. We do okay. Did you take her there in the Lamborghini?
No, no, no. We took an Uber over there.
No, regular one. I didn't even feel like we did the Uber black, but that was just because I felt like, you know, she's really classy, you know?
So I thought, cool, we're done. We're having a cool time. Do you want to go back to the club, see how it is?
She said yes, you know? So after we get back there, we're doing another're having a cool time do you want to go back to the club see how it is she said yes you know so after we get back there we're doing another round of drinks everything seemed cool
there yeah i even offered to play some verse songs let her hear out the playlist she did sort of like
mention hey the playlist is a little lame here you know and i said okay you know what do you think
you give me an idea or flavor what kind of stuff do you think people like to hear?
And maybe she was a little taken aback by that.
But besides that, it was a regular night.
Okay, so is there a lot of groupies then that come up to you since you're the club owner?
People say hi.
They recognize me around the place.
I like to try to make sure people have a good time.
Do you think maybe she's not calling you back because you had a lot of women coming up to you like,
Hey, Nick, thanks again, man, tonight was so cool.
I mean, I think about it every time I blink because normally girls don't mind.
Like I said, I get these callbacks.
We go on multiple dates and we typically have a fun time.
So like maybe that could be it.
But I think if that would be it when other dates go similarly, because that's how it is every time I go out.
First of all, before we ask you what you think and why you think you're not getting a call
back, how did it end?
So like, you know, after we had a couple of hours there, we ended up just calling it there,
you know?
And so I called her a ride and she left.
I left.
So no kiss, no hug?
Yeah, I gave her a hug, a little peck on the cheek, but it wasn't even that aggressive,
you know?
Okay.
I think like that's normally something we could do a little bit more of on the next date.
All right.
So you really think that her vibe throughout the date was, like, good and matched yours?
Because I feel like you can tell.
Well, maybe she wanted to talk more.
Because when you go to a nightclub, obviously, you can't hear anyone.
I mean, all the time you hear, like, what?
What are you saying?
You know, you can't hear anything.
So maybe she just wanted to get to know you more. I mean, maybe. I thought we were talking plenty.
Is there anything else that you can think of that would be the reason why she's ghosting you?
I mean, at one point in the night, there was some like chick that I had hooked up with beforehand
and she came over to say hi, hug, whatever. And maybe they like went off to the bathroom or they found each other in the bathroom and
they started bad mouthing me or something.
Okay.
All right.
So you just think maybe one of your haters got a hold of her.
I mean, what else could it be?
You know?
I have no idea.
Kind of friendly.
You think she's married?
It's possible.
Oh.
No.
All right.
Yeah.
That would explain it a lot.
Like, that'd be easier for me to understand.
All right.
Yeah.
She's probably married. All right. Well, we'll play a song, come back, and then we'll explain it a lot. Like, that would be easier for me to understand. All right. Yeah, no, she's probably married.
All right, well, we'll play a song, come back,
and then we'll call her and get you
and see why she's not calling you back, all right?
Okay.
All right, we'll do it next.
It's a Jubal Show.
On the phone is Nick, and Nick owns a nightclub,
and Nick is not getting a call back
from a woman named Leah that he went on a date with,
and he doesn't know why,
because as his email said, that never happens.
Right, Nick?
Exactly. Okay.
And just to remind everybody, they went out for
dinner. They had a good time. He says they
talked a bunch and he thought they were vibing and then
he decided to go, hey, you want
to come back to my nightclub that I own and hang
out for a little while, have a drink and don't have to pay
for any of it because I pay for all of it.
And they hung out at his club for a little
while and he said he thought
everything went cool there.
A hug and a kiss on the cheek goodbye
and she hasn't talked to him
in two weeks.
Anything else that I'm missing?
No, that's the gist of it.
That's all I could think of.
Okay.
All right, well,
are you prepared
if she says that she doesn't like you?
She doesn't want to go out with you again?
Is that going to hurt your feelings?
I don't think so.
Maybe she just got caught up
with some things.
I feel like she's definitely going to say she wants to go out with me again.
All right, Nick.
Here we go.
I'm going to dial a phone number now.
All right.
Hello?
Hi, may I speak to Leah, please?
Speaking. Who's this?
This is Jubal Fresh from The Jubal Show.
And this is Alex Fresh from The Jubal Show.
And this is English Evan from The Jubal Show.
Oh my God, I listened to you guys.
This can't be good news while you're calling me.
Have you ever heard a first date follow-up before?
Yes, I have.
All right.
So have you ghosted more than one guy?
No, I think I...
Is this about Nick?
Nick? Who's Nick?
And I know he's on the phone.
Hi, Nick.
Wow, you do actually know the show.
Okay.
How's it going?
Hey.
So, you know, what's up?
Why aren't you calling me back?
Yeah, I'm a little caught off guard.
I never actually thought this would happen to me.
So I'm a little like.
Yeah.
Sometimes dreams become a reality.
No, I really had a cool time with you.
And I just want to let you know How much of a time I had
I thought we vibed
I was feeling you
I thought you were feeling me
You know, I really
I thought we had a good back and forth going
I thought, you know
Maybe we want to hang out another time
See the club one more time
Get some more food
Back to the club
Sure, yeah
So not interested really
Or what happened, Leah?
Yeah, we want to know why you totally
ghosted him yeah um okay i'm gonna be totally honest um i had a good time we did we did vibe
we did have good conversation it was a little much um when he took me to his nightclub that
he owned he made sure to stress that um It just felt like a little try hard.
Try hard?
It's not my fault I own a successful business.
There we go.
Yeah, there you go.
It's not your fault, but it's like,
it felt like you were so desperate to impress me where you didn't need to do that.
I already thought you were cool before doing that.
I mean, how was I supposed to know that?
You know, I thought it would just be a cool thing
to see some of the music and see what the scene is like.
And I felt like if I was already impressed with you,
you should have said that maybe, you know,
you could let me in.
I can't read your mind.
Yeah, that's true.
I mean, we were having a good time
and I was impressed with you, but it just, I don't know.
The energy changed when we got there.
It felt like I was, like, your trophy that you were trying to show off to everyone,
and, like, you wanted to seem like the coolest guy in town, and then, like, the gunshot wound.
I mean, that was just, just like the icing on the cake.
Wait, you've been shot before?
So he has like a...
The what?
He has a scar or what?
He was showing it off.
Yeah, he like lifted up his shirt
to show off his gunshot wound.
He was like, look, I've been shot before.
I was like, okay, are you okay?
Who does that?
And it wasn't even like a scar.
It looked like it was still fresh
and I get really freaked out by blood.
So it was just like weird.
I'm still confused.
I just need clarification from you real quick.
He lifted up his shirt to show you his pretty fresh gunshot wound.
Yes.
He wanted you to think it was cool.
But I don't want to be out with someone that gets shot.
I don't want to get shot.
Right.
What?
I want shots at the nightclub. I don't want to get out with someone that gets shot. I don't want to get shot. Right. What? I want shots at the nightclub.
I don't want to get shot.
Why did you get shot?
No, that's just like, you know,
a little like altercation due to the business and affair.
That's just nightlife, you know?
Sometimes you go back and forth and things get a little aggressive.
I figured, look, this is showing you that I would never let you get shot.
You know, this would be stepping in front of a thing.
I would be way more like, you know, hey, I could defend you. You know, this would be stepping in front of a thing. I would be way more like, hey, I can defend you.
You know, this is me, like, letting you understand that not only can I provide, but I protect too.
So you can take a bullet.
Absolutely.
Especially for, you know, a girl that maybe one day anything could happen with.
You know, maybe we'd be in love.
I think you would look into that and say like, hey, that actually means that I'll always be safe.
That's oddly the most romantic thing I've ever heard.
Yeah, this is like some dark Romeo and Juliet that I don't vibe with.
But seriously, Nick, like next time on your on your date, on your first date, I would recommend just not showing a gunshot wound to a girl because that really turns me off.
So that's not a turn on? Okay, well I'm
hearing that from you, Leah. The only other female
with us right now is Alex Friesch.
Would it turn you on if he was like, check
out my new gunshot wound? Absolutely
not. Okay, so that's two. There we go. English
Evan, would it turn you on if he was like, check out my
new gunshot wound? I think it might
actually. I think they might do it for me. Okay.
That's the sort of thing I'm looking for.
So, two out of three dates, Nick, don't show him the gunshot wound. On that third one, give it a shot do it for me. Okay. That's the sort of thing I'm looking for. So there you go.
Two out of three dates, Nick, don't show them the gunshot wound.
On that third one, give it a shot.
Maybe you never know.
Give it a shot.
Okay.
I don't know.
Like I said, normally second dates are a big issue to me.
You know?
And so I think if it was a gunshot wound sort of thing that like other,
other people would have pointed that out, you know, other girls,
other dates that I was having that month,
they would have said something like that.
Okay. Well, I'm glad second dates aren't a problem
for you. Then it seems
you'll be totally fine without me.
Well, hold on, Leah. I have to ask you a question.
No, no. I already know what you're going to ask me
and answer no.
How do you know what I was going to ask you?
Because I listened to this show. You're going to ask me if I want to go out
with him again. No, I don't.
Okay. Wow, denied. All right. Whatever. I don't want to go out with him again no I don't okay wow denied
alright
whatever
I don't want to go out
with you again anyway
oh well you did
well yeah
okay
you did
well I did
yeah
until I realized
how judgmental she was
like she's just
another hater
you got another
another hater
alright man
well
sorry you didn't
get another date
and Leah
thank you for
listening to the show
thank you for
telling us why you didn't want to call Nick back.
And Nick, it sounds to me like you'll be fine and you have plenty of options.
Yeah.
I just, Nick, use me as foreign.
For the wound.
Cool.
Appreciate it, guys.
Yeah.
Thanks for the tip, Leah.
Just know you're never allowed in my club again.
Yikes.
Sounds good.
